De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero #6- Mon 3/17

De que está pintada de oro, está pintada de oro

I've been at rehearsal all night and I have a production meeting in the morning, so I probably won't have a chance to watch the episode until tomorrow afternoon.  In the meantime, discuss amongst yourselves!

*Update: got through most of the show....
*Update: the recap is complete.

Padre Juancho's boardroom visit leads to absolutely nothing, with more vague talk about "what you did" and "it wasn't so bad" and nobody talking specifics.  Grumpy Grandpa gives Diego a stern talking-to about keeping his nose clean.  Diana shows up asking QTH is going on, Diego evades some more, and Karina claims someone else must have ratted him out.

Diana and Diego's lunch is interrupted by a booty text.  The sexting fiend is an actor with bills he can't pay.  Good thing he's got a sugar mama.  As he whines about not booking a commercial and drools over a previous ad of his on TV, I make a mental not to not ever be "that guy."

Grumpy Grandpa is selling off the vacation house.

Brigitte the Brat is supposed to design and sew a dress, but she wheedles sewing help out of Natalia.

Eleazar is having some cable troubles.  A repair guy will be showing up tomorrow.

Diego meets Alonso, the Bro Boy that he kept in touch with, for drinks.  Diana spies on him and leaves once she sees he really is meeting Alonso like he said.  Alonso brings up the possibility that when Diego left Natalia alone, Rodrigo might have done something.  Of course, Diego doesn't think it's possible since that would mean Natalia attacked Rodrigo.  He also doesn't want to tell her he has a twin or she'll think they were both messing with her.

Natalia's Good Vibes Kiosk boss visits and Natalia tells her about Diego.  The terms "multiple personality," "bipolar" and "Stockholm Syndrome" get tossed around incorrectly.

Eleazar meets Kimberly for dinner at the same place Carlos and Carmen have gone for a date.  Kimberly eats his face.  Carlos asks Carmen to go steady and orders champagne for the whole restaurant when she accepts.  Kimberly insists on congratulating them.  Eleazar looks grumpy.  Back at their respective tables, Eleazar and Carmen complain about each other to their dates.

Diana goes to Karina's to complain that she's feeding her inaccurate info.

Carmen tells the kids she's going steady with Carlos. No one is happier than Brigitte the Brat.

Due to the rescheduling of the cable repair to 9am, Luz ends up seeing a semi-undressed Kimberly in Eleazar's apartment.  She tells him he can deal with his own, erm, cable repairs from now on.

Gamez tells Diego that Natalia's mom turned down the job on her behalf.  Karina tries to listen in, but gets busted by Grumpy Grandpa, who sends her for coffee and listens in himself.  When Karina gets back, he turns down the coffee, as does Diego.  Karina's going to be drinking a lot of coffee at this rate.  GG summons Gamez himself to get the scoop on Natalia.

(They played the ad again!  Yeah, I'm totally that guy.)

Luz goes to the fonda to share her shock at finding a half-naked woman in Eleazar's apartment with Carmen.  Luz thinks Kimberly is a bimbo…and Carmen doesn't disagree.

Natalia's back to looking for a job.  She goes to an interview with a skeevy guy and….

I'll have to finish up after my meeting!

Oh, for…yeah, it was a phone sex job.  When she tells Brigitte about it later, we learn that "phone sex line" in Spanish is "hot line."  So now you know.

Jackie has had her makeover before going undercover and she looks like she's trying to recreate the scene in Goldfinger.  Except she's alive.  And wearing clothes.

Grumpy Grandpa puts in an appearance at Natalia's and asks how much she wants in exchange for leaving Diego alone.  Oh, gramps…did you understand none of the previous fifty conversations?  And isn't this a premature conversation?  And didn't Gamez explain that she turned down the job and the exorbitant salary Diego told him to offer?

Tomorrow: Diana is SO busted!  And I might learn the other Bro Boy's name.

No problem! IMO it was a little slow last night, but still entertaining.

I know Gramps is a Grump, but I kinda like that he doesn't like Diana or her friend (whose name escapes me at the moment. I DON'T like that he is at Natalia's house and possibly making trouble.

I'm really hoping the twin misunderstanding gets cleared up this week. It's time to get the ball rolling.

Grumpy gramps indeed Sara. I'm sure he isn't at Nat's to wish her well. But agree, at least he has Diana's number.

I liked the scene where Carmen and Eleazar are with their respective dates while casting interested (and slightly longing) glances at each other. I have to say I like Carlos (Lisardo) (so far, that might change), but fear (no spoiler), he may again lose the girl to Marcelo Cordoba (who is looking quite boyish - perhaps the bangs high on his forhead??).

Kat, you really are a one woman show. Good luck on your meeting this morning and thanks for posting this for us to comment.

Diana

Haha Diana! I have to laugh at the boyish comment because he really is a mama's boy right now.

Got through most of it. I agree, a slow night...though I'll forgive them if none of the little details, like Brigitte's dress assignment, end up going nowhere. I figured with the cable repair and the rescheduling, that was going to end up being significant somehow.

Ay, Eleazar! When will you come to your senses and realize that I'm the one for you?

I mean, CARMEN! Carmen is the one for you!

Even if the dress assignment goes nowhere it was a great character study. Brigitte is a lazy little slug who gets others to do the work for them and then takes credit for it.

Thank you 5 foot for taking this on! Husband and I are watching this one for now. We are liking Natalia's family interactions. Brigitte may be a brat, but doesn't seem too bad. Husband thinks that Carlos is going to turn out to be the woman using drug smuggler and that Brigitte is going to make a move for him. I reserve judgment. Both of us think that using the glamazon undercover agent to trap the smuggler is all wrong. He looks for women he can manipulate and she looks way too strong.
Also, we were excited to see 5 foot latina in the commercial! So cute!

Did anyone else think glamazon had been spray painted gold last night? Or was it just my TV?

Kat, thanks again for singlehandedly coming to the rescue. Terrific reap and chock full of great lines.

Pure delight particularly "booty text" and "The sexting fiend is an actor with bills he can't pay". And, I am sure you would never "be that guy". LOL.

Love Luz (actress is wonderful - can do drama and comedy so well), I laughed at how quickly Carmen got on the girlfriend is a bimbo wagon. The fact she wants him herself notwithstanding.

Thanks again Kat! This was awesome.

Diana

Kat- I saw a bit of this last night, the scene at the restaurant, and thought it was very cute. So far, Carlos does seem legit, but I won't hold my breath.

So Glamazon Barbie (what we called her in UFCS) is back as a cop? Yeah, I can't see her as an easy mark either (but she is one hell of an intimidating looking cop). They need someone who looks more like Luz for this sting.

The rest is up now, not that there was much.

¡maldita! Had my comment typed, google said I had to sign in, I did, google said it was an error but I was allowed to post test & my original post disappeared.

Gracias 5ft, don't let Mr 5ft read Caray & discover your crush on Marcelo.

Carlos' childish exhibition reminded me of Tom Cruise's jumping on the sofa incident, just plain silly.
