What an episode, edited and all. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel. With the arrest of Gonzo, Javier's web of deception may just begin to unravel. Since Fab found out that information about the fake company, once he shares his findings with his wife, his life will be in danger. I'm glad that he gave Mau the proof and finally we will slowly get to the bottom.
Sorry to see Gmeanie have to go the way that she did, but she died a heroine in defense of her grandson. Her final act was an honest one. (BTW- man can GMeanie run!) Este will be heartbroken to hear about her death. When the police were called, I was afraid that Gonzo would escape but finally they got it right. I hope that Gonzo is not released on some technicality and that Este gets to see him before he is transferred out of the local pen.
 

What an episode. Poor Andrea. How much more will she have to endure...one son kidnapped, the other in jail,and her mother dead. I am so happy that she has a supportive, loving husband by her side. Hopefully Mau and Fab will figure things out. I want Favier to have an awful ending. He is despicable. I am glad that the good guys are finally getting some breaks and the light is beginning to dawn.

Does anyone know how many episodes are left ?

I was shocked at Meanie's death! Conservative Democrat, you seem to have a good handle on all that will occur, but having Gonzo murder and be apprehended was startling.

As you noted Tablet jefa, Gonzo's arrest may be the first hitch in Javier's reign of terror. We can only hope.

It fitting the combination of Borlas, Dan, Meanie and Angel the only ones to take one of the bad guys down and Mau fighting mad. Sad too that all Fernando's wrath works on Andy and not our power couple, outside of Isabel losing her child, missing funds and a little angst. (Art has daddy warbucks for fallback, neither will lose their business or homes and Aranza a terror before she set eyes on Fernando).

Andy has lost her mother, had her youngest kidnapped, oldest imprisoned and their apartment sold.

I felt so bad for Andrea. :( So many things, so much emotion, thank God she has Mauricio.

I agree Tablet Jefa, GMeanie can run, lol. She threw that cane aside and ran like hell. And I was a little surprised to see her go out they way she did. After all she did, her last act, an act of love and protection. She redeemed herself a little.

I don't know about Aranza though. Since I haven't watched much of this novela, I wanted to get a better picture of Aranza. I know she was a brat when she was young, right? So now, from what I've seen, she is selfish, cuz she only thinks of herself, self absorbed, spoiled and disrespectful cuz she always must have her way or it no way at all right? Did I get it right?

As for the previews of Aranza, I wanted to smack her for what she said to Isabel, "was I talking to you?" How dare you, you little cucaracha!! Ugh And Arturo, you mean to tell me he can't control his daughter a little. Just cuz you are what 19, 20 yrs old doesn't mean you are grown. My father would have some words for me if I spoke that way to my mother, and probably a smack in the face too. I wanna to see Aranza's face when the shit hits the fan for her.

And about this fake company, Fab found out about it right? It was a company set up to hurt Esteban by Feonando and Sonia? Or just Feonando?

In Aranza's defense (can't believe I am saying that) to and outsider's point of view, it would look like Gabi and Isa are trying to ruin her happiness, but still you saw how she was at jail with Esteban, if that doesn't tell you, you still have feelings for the guy I don't know what will, and look what's going to happen at the funeral! Aranza WAKE UP!

Aranza is just with Feonando because he is older, smarter, more mature and has money right? The epitome of a prince charming, right? Me thinks she wants to be with Feonando cuz he is older and mature and therefore so is she, in a way. With him, she feels like she is better than everybody else. Am I right?

CD- Gonzo stabbed Meanie in the gut, and twisted the knife before pulling it out. I was surprised Uni showed it. But I guess violence is ok to show, sex is not-- in our crazy US culture. Meanie went out like a fighter though. Her sprint and attempted tackle of Gonzo was impressive. I hope they throw the heaviest book at Gonzo, lock him up, and throw away the key (but not before Este sees him and realizes he's the same Gonzo who set him up at work). Poor Andy!

Veronica- Ara was a good child until her mother died, her father became ineffective at dealing with her grief, and her aunt Sonia used the opportunity to twist her mind with thoughts of hatred towards Isabel and any other adult who got in Sonia's way. She did this for 10 years, without being found out- manipulating Ara her whole childhood/teen years/early 20s, and turning her into the sharp-mouthed brat we see today. She really reserves all her smack talk for Isa and Art, and now Gabi since she thinks Gabi tried to seduce and set up her man. She's actually pretty respectful and nice to other people, so she's not a total beyotch to everyone all the time (like Niki Brizz in Amores Verdaderos). She with Javier because he makes her feel like a woman and not like a little girl. Her words, not mine. At this point, I think she's not as in to him as she was in the beginning, but stubbornness and pride and keeping her from admitting to everyone (and herself) that she was wrong and they were right. The way she has been reacting to Este's incarceration should be a wake up call to her.
 

Susanlynn- This episode was a combination of Mexican episodes 107-108. This show ends in Mexico April 4th at episode 130. Depending on how Uni decides to slice and dice these last episodes, we could be done a week after Mexico wraps up.

It could go like this:

-This week-- continue with 2 episodes combined into one.
-Next week-- 2 episodes combined into one, which takes us to episode 124 by that Friday.
-We would then have 6 full episodes left. That final week could be a combination of combined episodes and full episodes to wrap the whole thing up by the end of the week.

But, who knows what Uni will decide to do!
 

Wow I really didn't see GMeanie's death coming. Guess I was so focused on Cuca or Fab getting whacked. At least in the end GMeanie redeemed herself. Poor, sweet Andrea does not deserve what has been dealt out at her. Bam, her youngest is kidnapped. Bam, her oldest is in jail. Bam, her mom dies. If Mauricio and Andrea don't come out alive and well in this novela I swear to God, I'll have some strong words for Televisa. Since Gonzo is a secondary villain and has done some twisted stuff so I'm guessing he's dead at the end of the road. I don't put it past his accomplices to finish him off. Hopefully Uni doesn't completely destroy the final episodes, especially after Televisa wrapped it up so quickly. Hopefully Aranza will see the full truth soon, I miss the peace between her and Isabel.

When Feo first escaped Sonia was actually a little shocked that he cared nothing for his own sons. However, I don't see that she's much better.

I just updated the Villain Scorecard. Feo is currently tied with Pedro. It may need a % adjustment between series for # of episodes.

These authors better have a very serious Karmageddon for this creepizoid.
 

I wouldn't be that shocked if Isabel gets killed off in the end of this TN.

We've seen protagonists get killed off before.


 

If the punishment death for stealing to support a gambling addiction, insurance fraud with a feigned bad knee and being a cranky grandma it is well within the realm of possibility for naivete, stupidity and being mealy mouthed. That opens it up for most of the folks.

There’s so much to wrap up in the next two and a half weeks, and with these cut/combined episodes, I’m afraid we’re missing a lot of the side stories that we still care about. We’ve already had the Meanie gambling reveal and her redemption via the ultimate sacrifice, and the Gonzo Angel-kidnapping reveal and Gonzo’s arrest. Here’s all that needs to be covered in theses next few weeks:

Side Stories:
-The REAL TRUTH about Mari’s origins, which will affect if she and Dan can be a couple.
-Gil needs to learn the truth about Sonia and beg Dan and Mari’s forgiveness (and Cuca’s too, if she survives) for being such a stubborn snob.
-Bruno either discovers he loves Ally after all and they adopt the kids together; or Ally goes on to adopt by herself and/or find another man (Fabricio, Edgar the Lawyer?)
-Gabi either ends up with Bruno, or happily goes into single motherhood, and hopefully finds a new man (Fabricio, Edgar the Lawyer?)
-Ileana either ends up with Dan (if he and Mari are related); Cristian, who realizes while being away that it’s Ileana he loves, and not Daf; Borlas, who seems to be crushing on her; or some other fabulous dude who sweeps her off her feet.
-Tita, Os, and the Bikers finish the children’s home, Tita and Os get married, the kidlets get to all be together again.
-Mari and Borlas get educated (but Borlas might just have to go to jail for a while for his work with Gonzo and Dante).
-Lucha and Gabino discover what a snake in the grass their son Dante is, and his role in all the bad crap that has gone down. They will be destroyed emotionally.
-Isa’s health issues will either be resolved, or revealed to be a sick trick by Marcela. Marcela will either fade away defeated, or go out in a blaze of crazy glory as she tries for Art one last time.
-Dafne is dumped by Este. She either goes out in a blaze of crazy glory trying to hang on to him, or she realizes that all she really needed was love and understanding, and makes peace with her friends, adopted family, and family.

Main Stories:
-Everyone discovers that Fernando is ALIVE, is Javier, and has been behind everything! Their minds are blown.
-Everyone discovers that Fernando and Sonia are accomplices from way, WAY back.
-Everyone discovers all the deaths Sonia and Feo caused over all the years.
-Feo and Sonia’s evil nexus (Efrain, Gonzo, Dante, Lucero) will be revealed and will crumble.
-These discoveries will rock the worlds of Art, Isa, Ara, Fab, Andy, Mau and Este. Shock, awe, life-changing, and personality-changing (for Ara) revelations for this group.
-Punishment for Feo, Sonia, Efrain, Gonzo, and Dante. Please make it good, writers.

 

I'm watching the episode now. GMeanie's stabbing was pretty gruesome. I'm with Vivi and everyone else who has said it : violence doesn't get censored but luvin' does?

She wasn't the nicest lady, but I think she got too heavy an anvil.

I'm a little frustrated with everyone right now. They all seem right on the cusp of realizing that all this "bad luck" is actually the work of a madman who is targeting them.

Wow. Can't believe this thing is so close to over. I bet Uni sticks with the chop job. *sigh * What's up next that they are anxious to air?
 

wow Vivi a big list and all we got so far is Gonzo arrested, Andy blurting Gonzo and Fernando were bros, Fab uncovering an inconsistency with account opening dates and deaths and Bruno asking Gabi's baby to lunch. That's it. Even with one drop a night I won't be able to process.

Wow!!! Grandma Meanie hit the end of the road last night and Gonzo is in jail for murder. Did he have to murder her? Couldn't he have given her a big shove and kept on running? I'm with you Tofie I think that a knife in the gut is a little much for stealing the family jewels to pay off a gambling debt and for not being a sweet grandma but that's what we got last night. At least one of the dark side is in jail and will not be out any time soon. Murder is serious and there are his fingerprints on the knife and also witnesses so we have seen the last of Gonzo's evil. Who will be next on the dark side to go down?

Veronica---I don't know if Aranza always wants her way but she is out to prove to everyone that her novio is a good guy and no, she isn't leaving him age difference and all. However after the tears at the jail last night things may be about to change, could she be rethinking things?

So the evil empire is starting to crumble but I think that there will still be some dark clouds ahead for us. I think that the Conservative Democrat will agree.

Tonight Este gets out of jail---Dafne and Aranza will both be running to him. This could get interesting.

I don't think Fernando had anything to do with the death of the real Javier Castillo. As I recall he used that name because the real Javier was someone his own age who had died fairly recently. Whether Feo had something to do with the death of the real Javier's boss (Pablo) is unclear.

Veronica, the fake company is one of many illicit operations that Feo and Efron have been running over the years. This one was specifically set up by Feo to trap Esteban.

Meanie did not deserve such an end. Univision really robbed us with this character. She talked about going to therapy and she underwent quite a change but we didn't see any of that. I'll bet they cut some interactions at the hospital between Andrea and Meanie before her death. It would have been nice to see Meanie give Andrea some words of love at the end. So... screw you Univision, you scene-choppin' rat bastards.

I wish Isabel would have told Dafne to pack her bags and get her fat butt out. Talk about biting the hand that feeds her.

If this show ends mid-April I wonder if they can tie up all the loose ends. I hope Fab doesn't get killed. I kind of like him. He's a least a little bit smarter than Arturo.


 

The best punishment for Aranza would be a life of coulda, woulda, shoulda in a brothel in Tijuana. If Esteban wants any kind of peace when he is released just run the other way and not stop. If Aranaza were to be honest with Esteban she would admit she dropped him like a broken toy and didn't take much and would do it again. Not buying all her tears because the twit thought nothing of trying to convince Esteban to let her man use his connections to get the boy out of jail. It never occurred to her, despite his jailhouse confession he desired her still, there was anything hurtful. All this while her crushed stepmother awaited another tongue lashing in defense of the love for her mature stud.
 

Kathy- We aren't sure if Efrain (and Feo) had anything to do with the real Javier's death, but we do know that they were involved with real Javier's boss's death. They briefly discussed it when they congratulated themselves on creating dead ends for Art as he tried to investigate Javier. If they took the guy's boss out, it wouldn't be surprising if they carefully chose their target, with the right career/skills and very few family and friends, and killed him so that Feo could assume his identity.
 

Now that Gonzo has been caught , will he squeal on Favier ?
 

I agree that Dafne is an ungrateful wretch. Isa and Art took her in since her own family was so terrible, and this is how she repays their kindness and generosity. I used to feel sorry for her because her mother and father were so awful to her, but I no longer feel that way. She is selfish, self entered , disrespectful, and shallow. Basta. She should be sent off to see how hard it is to make it on your own with family and support. I had had enough of the spoiled brats..Ara and Dafne. Time to grow up.
 

Pretty sure the finale in Mexico is actually scheduled for May 4.
 

Yeah, Por Siempre ends on May 4 with a 2 hour Sunday finale and the Perroni/Arenas La Gata premieres May 5.
 

In addition to being a lying, thieving gambling addict, and a gruff and sometimes downright mean Grandma, Minerva was also a lousy and manipulative mom-- always verbally abusing Andy and using her (and her husband and kids) for whatever she could get. But, Andy, Este and Angel loved her, and Mau respected her. And when push came to shove, she was like a lioness defending Andy (the skillet to Feo's head) and her grandkids (her final tousle with Gonzo) from harm. It's a shame these Uni edits cut out much of her redemption in her final episodes where she really decided to seek help for her gambling, and her final scene with Andy. Que descances en paz, Minerva.
 

RG- Well that gives us a few more weeks to wrap all these loose ends up then. Thanks. I was sure I saw April 4th as the end. That means this will go to 150 epis or so in Mexico. (What was the talk of this being cut short? 150 is NOT short.)

We will catch up to Mexico at some point then if they keep up with the double/chopped episodes.
 

Isn't it a shame that the scenes with the two nicest young women, Ileana and Marianela, are ending up on Uni's cutting room floor? While we get to see plenty of Ara and Dafne being their bratty selves.

I thought Meanie would be the one to finally recognize Javier as Feo. Well, so much for that.


 

With a show like this, editing out the levity can make it one big downer and the viewers get jipped out of resolutions like GMeanie. I hope her end isn't one of those women are punished more harshly in tns than men b/c Feo needs to have a bad end. But as CD mentioned, the killing of Miguelito was too far. [Jarocha observed that the ratings fell after this and I understand why.] No amount of punishment can bring him back and with all the torment the writers are allowing in this tn, that was so unpleasant.

I hope Fab lives but I will need more than tears from Ara when realizes Isa was trying to protect her.

And yes these people need to stop acting like bad stuff just happens. However, since none of them are that bright, they may need outside help to figure things out.
 

It should be Andrea or Isabel, the latter of whom has had bad vibes from the beginning. I'd like to see Mauricio and Art pound him into the concrete before the police get there.

 

Indeed a shame and what a contrast. Mari, never knew a parent, knows she was abandoned, mistreated growing up, leaves because of the mistreatment and scoops up 5 homeless children and takes on the responsibility. Even now she feels awkward and undeserving and though belittled at school is not bitter but hopeful. Ileana, with a stable home life and doubtful went without anything, had the same friends, same student obligations but volunteers to help at the orphanage those less fortunate. Always level headed when the crazies come to bitch and don't recall any conversation when it was all about her.

Xint..Yes, I, too, thought that Minimean would be the one to recognize that Javier was Fernando. She was pretty sharp . Now, who will figure it out ...Andrea ? Isa ?. Mau ? Or will Gonzo spill his guts in jail.

Urban Anthropologist- It should be Esteban because he has the best reason. Fernando wanted to put him in jail, stole his girlfriend and slept with her, cheated on his mom with another woman and much more. Plus Pablo Lyle handles angry scenes the best. I remember in Cachito de Cielo he threw his dad out of the house because he was beating Cynthia Klitbo's character (his mom) and into the rain. I also think that scene where he went ballistic on 'Za when she friendzoned him was a preview of what has yet to come.

Hopefully the heavy anvil placed on a minor redeemed villain like Minerva is a sign that Sonia and Favier's anvils will be much, much bigger. Mmwhahahaha!
