EN OTRA PIEL – LUNES – Part 1
We again see Mondriana emerging nude from the pool. [Okay, who does that as a recent employee?] Gerardo stares at her, entranced. She turns, sees him, claps a hand over her mouth in shock. They both exchange a flurry of apologies. Later, to the background music of Mónica’s playing a piano concerto, we see Mondriana inside the Guest House, gasping with either lust or embarrassment or both. Gerardo has walked downstairs to stand near the G.H.
Ernesto, Gerardo’s brother, is parked outside the motel and has the video feed of Judge Pervo Figueroa entering the motel room on his phone. He’s giving Elena a verbal play-by-play. This prosti seems a bit older than the judge’s usual prey, but, ni modo, he pulls off his belt and starts to strike her with it.
Maite and Diego become acquainted in the boarding house kitchen. He asks what caused Valeria’s problems. Maite decides to tell him. She says that “they” beat her half to death and then raped her. She tells him about Valeria’s nightmares and that she can’t be anywhere near a man. Diego wonders why they didn’t press charges. [Being illegal himself, he ought to be able to figure out why they didn’t stick around to press charges.] Maite then grills him a bit, asking if he’s single, married, a widower, arrejuntado (living with someone), or all of the above. He tells her he’s single but very much in love. But Maite continues to flirt like mad.
At the motel the poor woman is shrieking in pain as the judge whales on her. Ernesto tells Elena that it’s getting too violent and wants to interfere. Having apparently had an empathy extraction long ago Elena just tells him to let it continue; it’s good for their purposes.
Both Gerardo and Mondriana toss and turn in bed, their lust keeping them awake. We see Gerardo get up, pull on a pajama bottom and walk purposefully toward a room. We get a little frisson that it might be the G.H; but, no, he’s jumping Elena’s bones as displacement therapy. But, uh oh! During said bones jumping he’s imagining Mondriana’s face in bed with him.
Ernesto photographs the judge leaving the motel and goes to tend to the prostitute. She’s furious, slaps him, and said he should have come in like he said he would. He makes up some lie about a camera failure. He gives her a bunch of money and takes the hidden video recording.
Gerardo wakes up in Elena’s bed. He jumps up worried about their being discovered, but she wants him to stay, remarking about how great last night was and that he’d never before made love to her that way. Ha! She’s pressing for an encore. We see Lorena at first doing yoga on the lawn and then walking down the corridor. She overhears Elena inside her bedroom: Te amo, Gerardo.

At the breakfast table Rodrigo talks with Ricardo while Gabriel looks on. He says it might take Ricardo two years’ work to pay to finish up at the university. He suggests a public university. [Wait, I thought they said he went to Berkeley. Cal is a public university.] Anyway, our Little Prince blows up, saying that his father wants him to be a mediocrity like … Rodrigo says: “Like me, Ricardo?” Ricardo denies that he was going to say that, but Rodrigo says he knows he thought it. He tells him that he regrets that his son has to see him that way, but that he’s right.
Emi, Cami, and Lorena are at breakfast, but Lorena is distracted. Elena bounces in, bubbling over with post-coital enthusiasm. She suggests to the rest of them that they try to be merry; her auntie would have wanted it that way! Camila agrees that was her mother’s style; she behaved that way when her husband died. Gad, this girl doesn’t let up.
Gabriel and Ricardo argue about the way Ricardo talked to his father. Ricardo responds that, perhaps G was too young to notice how their father lost himself after the screenplay was stolen, how he drank, how he locked himself up in his room, how he went through all their savings without doing a thing to help. Ricardo says that Rodrigo said he was a great writer and wouldn’t take just any job. Ricardo tells Gabriel he saw how hard his mother worked to support them. Gabriel fires back that that was a long time ago, and maybe it’s time to forgive. Ricardo gets a phone call. His favorite professor has gotten him an interview with an important despacho (law office) in Los Angeles.
Lorena comes storming in to confront Elena about sleeping with Gerardo. Elena, reckless as always, admits it. She says there’s nothing to be discreet about; he’s a widower and she’s single. Lorena responds that he was Mónica’s husband and Mónica hasn’t even been dead a month! She asks Elena if she can imagine how her cousins would react if they knew. Elena just says that they love each other and everyone will have to accept it. And, as usual, she shuts her mother up by bringing up how she was burned as a child.
In D.F., Carlos slithers up behind the guard he has been threatening with harm to his family and tells him he has another job for him.
At the Larrea Winery offices Elena, cool as a cucumber, tells Gerardo what happened with Lorena. He’s very upset, and reminds her they have the contesting of the will hanging over their heads. If Lorena talks, it will be a disaster. Elena thinks Lorena will keep quiet to protect the girls. Plus, they have Figueroa in the bag. She puts her arms around his neck and says maybe it’s time to plan their wedding. Gerardo jumps back as if scalded. This is too fast!
Camila confides her concerns to Marta about the new Governess. That she inserts herself in things that aren’t appropriate. That she defends Mónica as if SHE were the daughter. Marta wisely says that Emiliana wouldn’t do well with another change.
Gerardo can’t stand to watch the video of the judge beating the prosti, while Elena looks on with a smug smile. He rails at his brother, saying he should have intervened. Ernesto: "tranquiqui, brother". Elena is ready to show the judge photographs right now, but Gerardo suggests they move carefully. The guy is powerful, and powerful people are dangerous when cornered.

Mondriana has come to talk with Selma again. She tells her she’s having a hard time controlling herself around Gerardo. She says she had an erotic dream of him, woke up in a sweat, and went outside to jump in the pool. She felt someone watching her, turned, and it was he. She says she felt an electric charge between them, much stronger than what it was like in the past. She attributes it to the body – that 20-some body with a 50 plus woman inside! Selma asks if maybe he’s openly coming onto her. Mondriana replies that he’s an innately seductive person. It’s like breathing for him.
Esteban arrives to hypnotize Mondriana. While under she remembers the portrait of Julián and some art objects in a room. He again asks about the dije. She says there’s a safe in the room and that the dije is inside it. He asks if the safe is in the studio. “No”, she says, “it’s in a secret room”. She remembers a piece of furniture and a button that gets pushed, but that’s all.
Camila and Rodrigo have gone for a picnic. He tells her about the job that he got in a great law firm with prestigious clients. Things heat up between them and they end up making love on the picnic blanket. Let’s hope she packed some condoms along with the estate bottled red wine.
We find out what dirty deed Carlos manipulated the guard into. He comes in saying there’s a fire alarm. As the inmates start toward the door of the dining room, Carlos stabs Don Mario in the back.
Mondriana again is too intimate too fast with Marta after hearing about Ricardo’s new job. She says she’s sure Gabriel will find himself soon, making Marta suspicious of how much she knows.

Part I
I am doing the highlights today again.
Max leaves the family home due to the fact that the family didn't stick up for him against the theft accusation. Ivana is beside herself, and secretly so is Carmina. Ivana called Leleco about what happened and he comes to console her as Carmina runs off with a "headache". Max is packing his suitcase when Carmina comes in and tells him to stop the nonsense. She wants to know where he is going and the amante he is going to. He tells her there is no one and he's not saying where he is going. Carmina claims she is the love of his life and doesn't want to be left alone in the house with the family. Max tells her too bad, so sad, she is such a manipulator, to suck it up, she'll be fine. Max is going y punto! Later, Nina asks where Max is gonna go.
Thanks to her he says he can leave and will let her know where he is later. Before he leaves he tells Carmina to stop Jorgito from accusing innocent people, then he is off with a crying Ivana chasing his car.
Suelen gets a visit at the jail from Roni, who also asks her to marry him. She laughs, but he tells her it's a win/win situation. See he's gay, she needs to stay in Brasil so it's like killing two birds with one stone. This way Diogenes will lay off Roni finding a woman and Suelen gets to stay in Brasil. He wants her answer tomorrow. Never mind that she tells him yes! Now they have to tell Diogenes.
Carlitos is still chasing Paloma when she runs into a construction area, gets in a steamroller and almost runs him down. Finally she figures out how to stop the huge thing, and Carlitos and she go home. Waiting for them are Alexia, Veronica, Noemia, Tomas and Debora. When Carlitos and Paloma start arguing the others leave. Carlitos tells Paloma he loves her and is her Papa. She is pithed cause she was lied to and she hates Carlitos. She slams into her room.
Ivana is still crying and thinking that Max ran off with an amante. Tifon and Leleco think Max is an idiot.
Nina brings Carmina breakfast in bed and Carmina is on her usual rant. Nina says she should be happy that Rita finally dumped Jorgito, but now Carmina thinks that Rita has hooked up with Max, Ay, yi, yi! Carmina wants this ghost in her head gone y punto!
Diogenes and Roni have a talk. He tells Dio that he is marrying Suelen. Dio can't believe it. But it's Suelen. Roni tells him no worries, it's kind of like a bidness deal. They will live in the apartment about the roperia.
At Tiradero, Mama Lucinda and Nina are having a chat. Nina tells Mama Lucinda that Max is almost in the palm of her hand. Mama Lucinda doesn't like it, is afraid that Nina will sleep with him and that Max is dangerous. Nina assures her things will be fine and she's got Nilo under control, oi, oi, oi!
Darson and Tessalia are at a store, it looks like a snack place and Darson has bought her a pair of shoes, that she really doesn't want to accept, but he gets her to try one shoe on, and he helps her, she has her leg on his arm and the clerk of this store, starts flirting with her so much Darson starts fighting with him. Tessalia gets them to stop.
Max is at the country house and calls Nina and tells her he will text directions to her.

Carmina thinks of the convo she had with Nilo and if she came up with more money he'd tell her where Rita is. She grabs a ring and goes. Nina calls Nilo and tells him not to rat her out. Oh, he won't he tells her. Carmina comes by Nilo's and wants that info, he can have that ring if he tells. He finally tells her that Rita is working at the gas station and she goes, while Nilo laughs.
Debora goes to Jorgito's and Iran answers the door and tells her what is going on. She'll talk to Jorgito. Debora talks to Jorgito who tells her that Nina cheated on him and that Nina is a ho. He left Deb for her and he isn't happy. She tells him to go to therapy and he swears he won't jerk her around anymore, but she isn't having it YAY! She kisses his cheek and goes. Iran was so hoping they would reconcile and he thinks Deb still cares about him.
Max is dancing in front of the mirror, and Nina comes in all dressed up again. He wants to celebrate with her, he's finally free. He opens a bottle of champagne and Nina wants to know more about him as he's dancing a sort of striptease on the table top. He tells her he's known Carmina for many years before she married Tifon. Nina is all ears. She pours him a whiskey that she drugs. She gives him the drink which he drinks right now. He lets her know no one in the family has any idea how long he's known Carmina, that he has sacrificed for her, and she's basically evil incarnate. He thanks her for setting him free and she tells him to be the Alpha Male not the Beta one and he slimes on her. He's done being Carmina's lova, and wants to do the deed with Nina, she takes him to the bed, throws him down and starts undressing when he passes out. She slaps his face for good measure to make sure he's out. She begins her search of the place. All she finds is stuff of Carmina's from 2002. He wakes up and she's back in the bed, pretending they had sex over and over, while he can't remember a thing. She has to go back to work but she'll be back cause he's so delicious. Can I hurl??? She goes he thinks he's an idiot.
Carmina has gone to look for "Rita" at the gas station and follows her home, it's really Betania. Betania gets her dog out of his enclosure, goes in the house and greets her boyfriend Baldo. Car sees this. Car sneaks in and sits at the table. She has come to speak to "Rita". Car is hoping to cause trouble and tells Baldo all about "Rita" hooking up first with Jorgito and now with Max. Betania tells her to get out and never come back, Carmina tells her to move far, far away or else. Betania comes back in the house and Baldo is upset. He wants Betania to tell Car that she isn't Rita and to stop covering for Nina, but Betania can't do that. She is Nina's only friend.
Tifon goes to see Jorgito cause I guess he didn't show up for practice. He tells Jorgito to keep his personal girl problems and his soccer problems separate, They don't mix.
Suelen is let out of jail, Roni is there to meet her and she only has 40 centavos or so. Roni and his lawyer will make sure she's okay and they go off to Diogenes' place and Dolores and Leandro are there. Dolores figured out they are marrying and Leandro is pithed! Leandro hopes they are happy, but not really he is pithed! Diogenes is hoping they will be happy and not to end up killing each other. Suelen promises to make Roni very happy and Roni says he is marrying Suelen for romance and passion, oi, oi, oi.! Later, Leandro spread the news at Divino that Roni and Suelen are marrying. Suelen comes in and they want a serious chat with her. She tells them that Roni is the best guy on earth, but Leandro doesn't buy it and goes. Later, at the soccer game, Leandro kicks Roni, accidently on purpose and he hurts his knee. The coach gets on them that they are a team and not the enemy.
Part II

She slaps his face for good measure to make sure he's out. She begins her search of the place. All she finds is stuff of Carmina's from 2002. He wakes up and she's back in the bed, pretending they had sex over and over, while he can't remember a thing. She has to go back to work but she'll be back cause he's so delicious. Can I hurl??? She goes he thinks he's an idiot.
Carmina has gone to look for "Rita" at the gas station and follows her home, it's really Betania. Betania gets her dog out of his enclosure, goes in the house and greets her boyfriend Baldo. Car sees this. Car sneaks in and sits at the table. She has come to speak to "Rita". Car is hoping to cause trouble and tells Baldo all about "Rita" hooking up first with Jorgito and now with Max. Betania tells her to get out and never come back, Carmina tells her to move far, far away or else. Betania comes back in the house and Baldo is upset. He wants Betania to tell Car that she isn't Rita and to stop covering for Nina, but Betania can't do that. She is Nina's only friend.
Tifon goes to see Jorgito cause I guess he didn't show up for practice. He tells Jorgito to keep his personal girl problems and his soccer problems separate, They don't mix.
Suelen is let out of jail, Roni is there to meet her and she only has 40 centavos or so. Roni and his lawyer will make sure she's okay and they go off to Diogenes' place and Dolores and Leandro are there. Dolores figured out they are marrying and Leandro is pithed! Leandro hopes they are happy, but not really he is pithed! Diogenes is hoping they will be happy and not to end up killing each other. Suelen promises to make Roni very happy and Roni says he is marrying Suelen for romance and passion, oi, oi, oi.! Later, Leandro spread the news at Divino that Roni and Suelen are marrying. Suelen comes in and they want a serious chat with her. She tells them that Roni is the best guy on earth, but Leandro doesn't buy it and goes. Later, at the soccer game, Leandro kicks Roni, accidently on purpose and he hurts his knee. The coach gets on them that they are a team and not the enemy.

Janaina is in the garden giving Lucio what for she wants him to quit, he keeps working and here comes Carmina. She sends Jan off and tells Lucio he isn't going anywhere and she's got a job for him, he thinks this whole family is crazy.
Max calls Nina and wants his laptop which she gets. Meanwhile downstairs, Tifon comes home and tells Car he went to see Jorgito. Car tells him she went to see Rita and she is the cause of this whole mess. Tifon tells Carmina to leave Rita alone. Rita couldn't have caused all these problems. Tifon feels bad about killing Rita's Papa, accidently.
Ivana is still upset and goes to see Mona Lisa and Olenka. Mona Lisa asks Ivana if maybe Max went off with an amante. Maybe Ivana and Max need their own place. Ivana couldn't live without her family around. Ivana wants to have a bebe with Max.
Nina comes to the cabin with the laptop but has to go. Max doesn't want her to go. He wants a kiss and then they hear a car. Max panics that it is Car and asks Nina where she parked her moto. Not near the house. Nina hides as Carmina comes in. Max tells Car he left cause he felt totally humiliated, and now he is free of Car and familia. She wants to know who the woman is, he tells her there is no one else.
Lucio goes to Betania's place and feeds her dog some tainted meat. Later, Baldo and Betania come home and her dog is dead. Baldo immediately thinks Carmina did this. He says this woman is completely dangerous and who is next, he or Betania. She cries.
Carmina is bugging Max about who this woman is. Max wants her to stop bad mouthing him. Car thinks someone is there and slimes herself all over Max and he rejects her. He tells her there is no woman there, y punto! Nina hides outside and Car searches the place. Car finds no one. Car tells Max he is making his own life difficult. He tells her she has got all the money, jewelry and he got nothing. Nina listens. Max says he wants a new life, but she'll be paying for it. He tries to kick Car out, but she tells him will he now forget about his two children, Jorgito and Agatha. Nina listens and cries. Oi, Oi, Oi. What will happen next!

Thank you so much, Mads! I watch online and the episodes are kind of messed up, I never know when one starts and another ends, so reading the recaps is a must.
I binge watched a few episodes yesterday, not knowing when exactly to stop, so now I know what comes next... and it's a doozy!
Nina looked so disappointed when she found out that Agatha was not her sister - I believe she was almost sure that she was.
This Max situation is getting so out of hand!
I wonder what Nina will say to rationalize the way she's putting everyone around her in jeopardy - I really think that Betania's life is in danger.
Jorgito is pathetic! Being heartbroken is one thing, we've all been there. But he completely shut down, not going to work or anything - and his work ethic has nothing to do with having the sads over a girl, he never cared too much about his football career. Nothing too swoon worthy about this galan. Kudos to Deborah for being a smart girl.
I missed the part about Rony saying that he's gay (as I said, the online episodes are strange). It's not that I don't believe him or I think that being gay is something that can be cured, but I'm still rooting for these two to end up together one way or another.
I did find Rony's father acceptance strange. Didn't Suelen sleep with him when she filmed him? Or did they just make out? Either way, it was gross; and then she hooked up with the entire Divino male population .... not the perfect daughter in law material.
The Carlitos shenanigans are starting to amuse me now that all women know what they're dealing with. At least the guy is trying to change.

I understand his resentment towards his father, but all the man was trying to do was suggest a solution, a way for him to continue his education. But, no, Ric has to have the best of the best... And then he says that his father did nothing to save the family from going broke - isn't this just what he's doing now about his studies? Wallowing and taking a job that can't be more than a paralegal position? I thought he was meant for greatness...
He's maybe doing the right thing, but I just can't with his entitlement and inferiority complex (that somehow go hand in hand with this guy).
These days I find him even more unlikable than Camila... These two are becoming FFW material for me, they are both so grating.

Granted, Ricardo and Camila can't do it in either of their rooms but I'm sure in a big place with lots of outbuildings like the vineyard, there would have been a nicer place than on the grass, in the open next to a pond. In ECDD, their counterparts did it in the attic and made a baby so we will see if these smart, modern, young people are going to be astonished when unprotected sex leads to pregnancy.
You would think that someone with as much to lose as the judge would be more careful in having sex, much less indulging his little quirks, with someone he didn't recognize from the brothel and without the privacy protections that the brothel offered but maybe he's out of control.
It doesn't look good for Don Mario.

We were at the cabin yesterday with Car and Max and Nina hiding and listening. It continues as Carmina tries to convince Max to see things her way and come back. Carmina wants him to come back and she'll see to all his needs. Nina continues to record. She reminds Max they are accomplices and tells him what she did to "Rita's " dog. Nina way upset. Car still mad at him about other woman, she kisses him and says he's delicious and goes. Nina comes out of hiding and says so you and the Patroncita have a thing goin' on! And he's Jorgito and Agatha's Papa! Now Nina wants to know all about Rita, what is that about? Max is beginning to think that Nina knows Rita, he slimes all over Nina and she finally gets out of there. Max thinks she is keeping a secret and will find out, Ruh, Roh.
Baldo and Betania have a falling out. She is so done with all of this. He wants her to come clean with Car, she won't, they break up and she goes. Nina goes to see Baldo, but Betania is gone. He tells her what happened with Car, Betania and the dog. He's really upset cause he and Betania were together a long time. Nina asks where Betania is but Baldo doesn't know. Nina goes. Car calls Nina, but she isn't at home, and Car is pithed she wants Nina back y punto!
The family is together when Max calls Ivana. He wants to be a professional guy and Ivana promises to help him. Max wants to meet Ivana at an apartment he's rented. Leleco and Tifon aren't happy and think that Max doesn't love Ivana. She cries and Agatha comforts her.
Carmina talks to Lucio and finds out he did what she asked. She is happy. Later, Carmina hugs Ivana and is happy that Ivana and Max will be meeting, and Ivana thinks there is an amante, but Carmina says what Max needs is a professional job in Public Relations like maybe his own company. Tifon laughs.
Betania has gone to Tiradero and Mama Lucinda. She tells her about the death of her dog and the break up with Baldo all over Carmina and her crap. Betania is also pithed at Nina for putting her in this positon. Betania says that Nina is trying to prove how bad Carmina is and wants to present evidence to Tifon's familia.
Nina comes back to work and serves Carmina in bed. Carmina isn't pleased with Nina going off and having to eat Janaina's cooking, the tray has no silverware and Carmina blows a gasket. She wants something better than what is on the tray and now she wants juice, which Nina gladly gives her, dumped all over the bed and her clothes, accidently on purpose. Nina flashes back to when she was little and tossed china around and broke it, Carmina twisted the head of Rita's favorite doll off and then Rita threw milk all over Carmina. Nina is lost in her reverie when Carmina proceeds to scream at her again that she owes Carmina. Nina apologizes and goes.
Carlitos and Alexia are trying to make it up to Paloma for lying to her, Alexia even made her some dulce de leche, Paloma takes it and dumps it all over Carlitos and Alexia and now Alexia's Mama has shown up! Happy, happy joy,joy, not! Alexia is mad her Mama never showed up for the wedding and stayed in Paris. Well, she 's here now and staying with them.

Mona Lisa and Ivana have a chat and Ivana now thinks that maybe Max only married her for her money and doesn't love her. Mona Lisa thinks that Ivana would be better off without Max. As a matter of fact, Mona Lisa needs a right hand woman and that is Ivana. She wants Ivana to be independent, like she is. Ivana will do it. Mona Lisa goes and Ivana goes up to the office at the salon. She spills juice on herself and goes to the bathroom to clean up. Meanwhile Silas has come looking for Olenka. She takes him up to the office and they make out and Ivana sees and hears. Later, Ivana goes home and tells Muricy what she saw and heard with Olenka and Silas, Ruh, Roh!
Nilo is smart and goes to a jeweler to have that ring Carmina gave him appraised, he wants to know the value, well, the guy isn't an expert, but tells Nilo the ring isn't worth a thing. Fake jewels in there. Nilo is pithed. Nina comes by and gives Nilo what for, for sending Carmina after Betania. She is supporting him and he betrayed her. He wants another chance, he won't ever do it again! He tells her how Carmina got one over on him. Nina says par for the course and goes.
Max calls Nina and she ignores the call. Max thinks back to Nina telling him Rita is a rival for Jorgito's love. Max now thinks that Rita and Nina know each other and probably Mama Lucinda too, so he goes to Tiradero and watches Mama Lucinda and Betania, and Nina comes on her moto. Max pulls one of the boys over and asks who these girls are. Nina tells him they are both victims of Carmina. It's time for him to be free of Carmina she tells him. Nina tells him he married Ivana for the lana, Jorgito and Agatha can't stand him and Leleco and Tifon don't like him either. Max gets a call from Carmina and Nina's thinks she's toast, but Carmina gives the phone to Ivana, and she wants him to come home for a good cooked dinner. Max ends up agreeing and hangs up. He tells her about the dinner and that when Carmina finds out that Rita has been under her nose all this time, well, hell is going to break loose. Nina reminds him that Carmina has never lived up to her promises to Max. So now it's a standoff with Nina and Max, he has the goods on her, she's got the goods on him. She does tell him she his accomplice and won't do to him what Carmina has done and she goes.
Jorgito goes to Debora's place of work again and wants her back. She tells him she'll be his friend, nothing more and he needs to resolve his family issues. He was really hoping for another chance with her, but she's standing strong.
Part II
Mona Lisa and Ivana have a chat and Ivana now thinks that maybe Max only married her for her money and doesn't love her. Mona Lisa thinks that Ivana would be better off without Max. As a matter of fact, Mona Lisa needs a right hand woman and that is Ivana. She wants Ivana to be independent, like she is. Ivana will do it. Mona Lisa goes and Ivana goes up to the office at the salon. She spills juice on herself and goes to the bathroom to clean up. Meanwhile Silas has come looking for Olenka. She takes him up to the office and they make out and Ivana sees and hears. Later, Ivana goes home and tells Muricy what she saw and heard with Olenka and Silas, Ruh, Roh!
Nilo is smart and goes to a jeweler to have that ring Carmina gave him appraised, he wants to know the value, well, the guy isn't an expert, but tells Nilo the ring isn't worth a thing. Fake jewels in there. Nilo is pithed. Nina comes by and gives Nilo what for, for sending Carmina after Betania. She is supporting him and he betrayed her. He wants another chance, he won't ever do it again! He tells her how Carmina got one over on him. Nina says par for the course and goes.
Max calls Nina and she ignores the call. Max thinks back to Nina telling him Rita is a rival for Jorgito's love. Max now thinks that Rita and Nina know each other and probably Mama Lucinda too, so he goes to Tiradero and watches Mama Lucinda and Betania, and Nina comes on her moto. Alexia isn't sure about Carlitos and Alexia's Mama thinks he's a keeper, what with he pays for Paloma's schooling, keeps Alexia in comfort, but Alexia is still unsure, due to the two wives things. Well, Mama tells Alexia that she had a guy named Giorgio that she invested all her money with and it's now all gone, every penny. Alexia screams and Paloma is happy. Mama tells Alexia that's why she is staying with her, no more money!
Mona Lisa and Olenka in the kitchen and Mona Lisa is asking her about the mysterious Esteban (the fake boyfriend again). Olenka tells Mona Lisa she isn't staying for dinner, Esteban lives a distance and she's going. Iran has come for a visit. She tells him about Olenka and Silas, but he already knew. Mona Lisa is pithed. She goes to Silas' and with her key, gets in, hears the hanky panky and goes and catches Silas and Olenka in bed together. End of friendship I'd say!

Max claims a friend paid for it. Max stares at Nina and Carmina tells him Nina made his favorite dishes. Nina goes to the kitchen and Max follows, he wants something from her. She goes up to his room and begs and pleads with him not to tell. He again threatens her with cops and mental health docs. She reminds him that Carmina has been fleecing this family lo these many years. She tells him to stick with her and he'll be in Paradise. He thinks not. Then she tells him she has an inheritance that is 500,000 grand. He can be independent from this familia. She'll help him get over this familia. She goes.

At that moment in time I thought that he's either gay or he'll be the one to tame her. The actor played it in a way that I was never quite sure and I think he did a very good job in keeping things confusing, at least for me.
Maybe Roni thinks that he's gay because he hasn't yet found a girl to actually like and he's not like all the other dudes, always falling for every skirt.
I wanted to slap Nina when she asked for more time!!! in her talk with Betania and Lucinda. And she says she has everything under control just as Max is snooping around outside, uncovering her greatest secret.
Revenge has truly blinded her, because she's starting to commit mistakes, huge ones! She's always out of the house, juggling a million things at the time, keeping Max in check will now be impossible...

When I heard that TM would be showing this, I read some comments from those who watched it on Globo via satellite. The consensus seemed to be that it's a "dark" novela and there isn't really anyone to root for. I disagree. How can you not root for Nina? Yes, revenge has taken over her life. Yes, she has caused collateral damage (that poor dog among other things). I also wanted to slap her yesterday. She came back to Brazil with no clear plan on how to achieve her revenge and now it's getting out of hand. Max is a loose cannon; how is she going to get him under control now that he knows she is really Rita? I also thought there would be more fallout from the reveal that Tifón ran over Genesio but she seems to harbor no ill will towards him. Anyway, I still love this novela and I haven't missed an episode since it started!

It is said explicitly, but it really seems as as Camelia is the offspring of Antonio and Rosaura, and that she left him (and took her baby), when he cheated on her with Lu.
Camelia is mad at Emilio, wants to break up with him forever, since he lied (I wasn't clear on the exact lie, something about who he worked for). She doesn't know 1/10 of his lies, but wants nothing to do with him anyway. Until he keeps coming back, coming back, she's crying, they're kissing, problem solved!
Alacran and Dionisio (Mireya's father, I think that's his name), meet with Arnulfo and little Alma. They explain that Antonio is looking for Camelia, who disappeared with Mireya. Alma privately tells Alacran NOT to rescue her, for now, she has to stay here.
Carson sets up a drug buy. I think the cops are going to buy all of Arnulfo's heroin (goma). They're going to buy it from La Nacha. The aim is that all the other buyers will get mad, and they'll come out of the woodwork and be identified. Arnulfo trusts Moises/Facundo to deliver the goma to La Nacha. She's at first put off since he's a new guy, but then she sizes him up, and says they've got a deal, if HE (handsome Facundo), is her BONUS!

it was sad to see Xiang stab Kimberly, I really liked her, so cool her speaking in English, but also sad that Aaron watched, he seems to inherit all of the aftermath of his brother, who's never around long enough to pay the price for his actions, and he doesn't even get the girl.
I too was confused about why Camelia was upset, as they kept mentioning Tuerto and Ruben, but I think it was about Emilio selling her out at the border. When Emilio finally leaves, Camelia then figures he was after the "mota", but when she sees it's still there she regrets kicking him out, but he comes back.

Part I
Nina is flashing 500,000 grand with her fingers at Max. The family goes into dinner and everyone is nice to Max, but Aduato brings up the attempted robbery, Max gets pithed off, he is leaving again, and Nina wishes him a good night as he goes out the door. Nina goes back to the kitchen and whistles and says she may leave this employ. The family continues their dinner and Ivana is sad, but not wailing this time.
Mona Lisa has caught Silas and Olenka in bed together and she's beyond pithed. Both her hubby and her BFF have betrayed her. Olenka begs and pleads and says she's sorry, but Mona Lisa isn't hearing her. Silas also said that Mona Lisa abandoned him on their honeymoon and took up with Tifon. Mona Lisa tells Olenka they are through and leaves. Olenka cries her heart out. Silas tries to calm Olenka. Mona Lisa goes home and rants to Iran. Iran seems to think that Olenka was drawn in to Silas revenge plot to get back at Mona Lisa. She packs up all Olenka's stuff in trash bags. Olenka comes and says she is very sorry for what happened and wants forgiveness but Mona Lisa just can't, her best friend stole her hubby, she always supported Olenka and proceeds to take her stuff to the curb. Mona Lisa is throwing her out y punto. Silas is there, gathers Olenka's stuff and takes her with him.
Carmina is in bed with Tifon and he is ranting about Max being a viper, and Tifon still believes that Max had a hand in this attempted robbery.
ZeZe brings Carmina breakfast in bed and now she is to spy on Nina again.
Carmina goes to the cabin to give Max a piece of her mind, his behavior last night sucked, he pretends to call Tifon and tells him all about he secrets. She is not amused. Max is pithed that Ivana wouldn't give him the money, and by the way he wants to know what happened to that 50 mil that Carmina got from Genesio? She invested it she says. He never saw a penny. She is still ranting about his other woman. She wants to know how much Max wants, well 50 mil for a start. She gives him 300 as in hundred it will have to do for now. He throws the money in the air.
Nina comes to Tiradero. Mama Lucinda has set up a meet with Baldo and Betania. Nina tells them again how sorry she is, but Baldo is pithed. Betania has been in jeopardy with Carmina always after her and he's done. Betania wants Nina to leave that job and that house for her own sake. Nina can't and Baldo tells Nina to forget about him and Betania they are done. As they are leaving Nina again tells them how sorry she is, but they drive off. Mama Lucinda tries to talk some sense into Nina. Next Nina goes to Mama Lucinda's chicken coop for more of that ransom money to give to Max. One of the little kids sees her dig it up. Ruh, Roh. Nina next goes to the cabin and gives Max the money. It's her inheritance she says and she has investments. He tries to slime on her again, but reminds him they are partners. Max is very happy with this money.
Tifon is visiting Jorgito at his place. Jorgito is depressed and Tifon fills him in on Max. Jorgito still thinks that Max was part of that attempted robbery, but has no proof, cause Tifon asks him again about the proof. But Jorgito is positive that Lucio was a part of it too. Tifon goes.
Carmina wants to see Lucio and he comes and asks if she has another special job for him? Nopis, this is the deal, he is to resign his position and she pays him well. She never wants to see him again. Ivana comes in and Lucio goes. Ivana says Max abandoned her again. Carmina thinks it's only for a couple three days.

Nina's cell rings but Carmina tells her as long as she is on the clock, she can't answer it y punto. Nilo is in that nice place Nina got for him when that Tiradero kid comes and wants a computer, games, batteries. Nilo thinks he is crazy. The kid has news for Nilo. He saw Nina digging up money and he'll show him where. Off Nilo goes.
Tifon comes home and Carmina tells him that Lucio is resigning his position. Tifon wants a chat with Lucio. He asks him how he knows Max, etc. Lucio lies and says he doesn't know Max just about the job. Tifon thinks Lucio is lying cause Lucio was always at Divino where Max went a lot.
Silliness with Leleco and Darson. Leleco still isn't getting the results he wanted from Darson. Tessalia comes out as Leleco goes and they have a whole convo on how Leleco may be older than Tessalina but what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man, as Leleco listens.
Padre comes with the poor people to Carmina's, that was set up the other day. The woman with the suitcase from the airport comes too and sits and talks with Agatha. Carmina is pithed to see a stranger talking to Agatha and goes over to ask who she is. The woman won't tell her and cops an attitude with Car. Finally the woman says she knows Nina and Nina comes out. Nina says the ladie's name is Begonia a friend from Argentina. ZeZe is sent to spy on them as Nina takes Begonia to her room. Begonia is Nina's sister, and is mad at her for not answering emails, and phone calls from her. Nina makes excuses but Begonia wants Nina to give up the revenge plot and go home to Argentia. She has also brought Nina an inheritance from home, from the adopted Dad. Begonia can't understand how Nina can put up with that woman. ZeZe hears all or most of it with her ear to the door. Nina wants Begonia to go, she'll see her later and please leave the country. Begonia goes and ZeZe has to make a run for it. Later, ZeZe spills the frijoles in front of Tifon and Tifon is pithed that Car is now spying on Nina, it has to do with security she says.

Mama Lucinda hears the commotion, comes out and tells Nilo to get out, he fights with her and knocks her down and the kids come to help her. Nilo is yelling he knows it is the ransom lana, it's his, all his, Mama Lucinda denies there is any lana. He leaves empty handed, while Mama Lucinda has a talk with the kids and says one of them betrayed her. The little kid hangs his head but says nothing.
Nina is in bed at 2:00AM when Carmina pulls what she did before. She hauls Nina out of bed for a convo. Nina thinks this is another punishment round. Nina has to admit that Begonia is her sister, Nina was adopted out cause her Moms was ill and the inheritance is from her adoped Dad who passed and it's going to pay for her sick Mama's hospital bill, cause it isn't much. Carmina thought maybe Nina was a rich girl slumming as a chef. Carmina wants Nina's Mama's name and Nina tells her it is Maria de Lourdes. Carmina isn't happy at all with Nina. Nina also told her that Begonia was a former employer from Argentina but has to admit it's her sister. Nina will resign and Carmina can keep her pay, Car says no they are friends, right, and does the two finger eye thingy, she'll be watching Nina.

Carlitos, Granny, Alexia and Paloma having dinner. Paloma doesn't want gluten, they are having lasagna, so instead they will be going to dinner to Gino and Ginas. Paloma calls Veronica, and tells her where the familia will be, come join them. Noemia is with Veronica and they decide to go and bring some guys with them, that would be Ruy (Alexia's former finace) and Jimmy the guy that works for Carlitos. They get to the restaurant and join Carlitos and familia while Paloma fills in Granny about the relationships. Carlitos ends up paying.
Janaina comes to Carmina's room and Carmina pumps her for info on Nina's Mama. Her name she got and then the hospital. Carmina goes there and wants the info. Nurse can't give it to her. Carmina slips the nurse some lana, and the nurse tells her they had a patient by the name of Maria de Lourdes, who had cancer, and died a month ago. Oy, Oy, Oy.
Nina goes to see Begonia at the hostel she is staying at. Begonia is upset with Nina about this revenge plot, give it up and come home, it's an obsession, but Nina won't listen, Begonia thinks she has a hard head. Begonia will be going back to Argentina.
Suelen and Roni have a house warming party. Everyone from Divino is there but Leandro. Dio wants him to meet a Senor Antonio. He has a goal position open on a major team and wants Roni. Roni would rather that Leandro have it. He tracks Leandro down, he is drunk and gives Roni hell about stealing Suelen from him. He doesn't ever want to speak to Roni again. Roni tries to tell him about the goalie position but Leandro won't listen and Roni goes.
Jorgito has gone to see Mama Lucinda and he's still pithed about Nina. Mama Lucinda tells him that Max is a tool to get to Carmina, but with Jorgito it's like talk to the hand. Mama Lucinda assures Jorgito that Nina does love him as much as he loves her. Now he wants some more of the truth, but Mama L wont' tell him. He feels Mama Lucinda created the creature that is Nina now. Mama L begs him to listen but he's done and goes.
Family dinner and Nina's phone rings but she won't answer. Tifon asks why and gets the Carmina explanation and he's pithed. He reminds Carmina that Nina has a sick Mama in hospital and to let her answer the phone for Dios' sake. Nina finally does and it's Max he wants a meet.
In their bedroom Car tells Tifon she has to go out, cause one of the orphans is sick and she wants to tend to the child. Tifon wants to come, but Agatha hasn't done her homework, stay and help her. Car goes as Nina leaves and she follows Nina to a restaurant. Nina is waiting for Max when Carmina wants to know what guy she is meeting and why not visiting that sick Mama in the hospital. Max is outside of the restaurant. Is the jig up? Will Carmina see Max, will Max push the issue, Oy! Oy! Oy!
Part III

- Mondriana and Gerardo made out like crazy, but then she rejected him; he's hot for her after having seen her naked at the pool (so much for having that special connection that reminded him of his deceased wife...)
- when he insisted with her, she reminded him of his dead wife and how quickly he forgot her (BURN!)
- Gerardo said that he feels lonely and she is special (and looks great naked, don't forget)
- Mondriana remembered the hidden room and went there in search of the amulet
- The moment she touched it, she collapsed to the floor; when she woke up she left the secret room in a state of trance
- Gerardo almost hit her with his car; when he went to see if she's ok, she looked at him with puzzled eyes and called him Diego - Adriana's soul is back!
A big Kudos to Jean (was it you?) for perfectly guessing that Adriana will be back once the amulet comes into play again.

This novels keeps getting better. However I don't like that they killed the rotten border guys wife. Could they have made their pont less fatally? Alma is like an old soul living in a child's body. Sorry, but I still chuckle when remembering the exchange with her and the guy who was taken out by the truck.

I totally agree with you, Kelly. A law firm firing someone based on an accusation in an anonymous call is not very smart. Ricardo may have been in a probationay period but still - an anonymous call? Better to call him in, have him review and sign that he understands the firm's prohibition of sexual harassment and keep an eye on him but whatever.
A secret room is pretty cool. Mondriana didn't exactly remember it. She saw pictures of it in the box of mementos that Emiliana was showing her. (A weird place to put photos of a secret room). Once she saw the pictures, she remembered where it was, how to get into it and the combination of the safe.
I hope there is a peephole or something that you can check and see if someone is in the study before you just open the door to leave the secret room. As I recall, the secret room in ECDD had a two way mirror. The secret room in ECDD also had an entrance from the outside, which was handy for Pedro Jose/Salavdor since as the chauffeur, he didn't have any reason to be running around inside the house.
Knowing Elena's homicidal tendencies, I wouldn't bet on the pervy judge's life expectancy once he validates the will especially since he knows about Gerardo's murky past. I would have told Elena and Gerardo that if anything happened to him, that information would go to Camila or something.
I think that Lorena is going to be one of those irritating characters who finds out a lot of stuff about the villains but doesn't say anything. She told Elena that she would support her no matter what. Is she doing it out of guilt for not being a great mother?
I may have guessed that when Mondriana touched the dije, she would go back to being Adriana or turn into a zombie, which appears to be what happened. Since it's waaaay to early in the novela for Adriana to take her body back, I guess the dije will go missing again.
What was in the envelope that Mondriana took out of the safe? It looked like a photograph.
We found out that Monica's first husband, Julian, has a twin brother who went to Australia and was never heard from again. No points for guessing that he will show up again and start up a romance with Mondriana.

I don't have time to write much today, but what an episode! We now know Camelia IS the offspring of Antonio and Rosaura, and that Rosaura was so angry at Lu for stealing her man, she CUT her and made her sterile!
Also, Xiang may be gay.

so many things I miss, I didn't get that it was Rosaura that cut Lu and left her sterile, but in Antonio's surroundings she looks as vicious as everyone else, funny seeing her tucked in bed, hiding out in the marijuana greenhouse.
so true bmc, Alma is like an old soul, but she seems to be still struggling to put the pieces together, is she slowly learning the control she has over others, cute when the gunfire rang out at the cockfight, (and unlike other novela gunfights, people always get shot) she beats feet out of there, I was wondering if she would hop in the car with Camelia/Emilio/Mireya, but she didn't.
I'm not sure what, not so always in control, el Alacran was doing there, but don Arulfo's guys made short work of him, tying and gagging him before locking him in a car, (and everyone seems to have these giant gas guzzling cars, and carry change for the pay phones).
interesting when Jacinto overhears Camelia's name and steers don Arulfo to her, these are two characters that it's impossible not-to-watch.
Emilio, now leaning toward wearing the darker colored shirts, seems to be keeping a close eye on the suitcase with the 25 kilos.
and not sure if I got this right, but Xiang and Aaron (who is not a happy camper, and even hung up on Emilio) try a border crossing with a car full of radios, (was this a trial drug run) Xiang kicks Aaron out of the car so he won't have any trouble crossing, but he does anyway, and I think they kept the car and radios, (which I think belonged to Aaron's customers) oh well, but Xiang sees a bunch of surfers crossing with their surfboards and gets another idea.
Alison and Lu spend most of the day together, Alison makes it clear she is just in for the original deal, nothing more, and (does she live in Tijuana) they go talk with Mireya's dad, Dionisio Osuna, in Juarez (I think both Arulfo and Antonio have airplanes) about his marijuana, (and everything Lu does seems to be a secret from everyone else)
not sure how Emilio did it, but he fixed it so Mireya could sing, and she sings her new song that she wrote for the dead Caiman, "kisses of love", was it?
and the last we see of Rosaura, she has a knife to Antonio's throat, (this is one girl you don't mess with) with Benigno trying to calm things down.

I’m chiming in with you and Jean about how ridiculous it was that a LAW OFFICE would make itself vulnerable to a wrongful termination lawsuit by firing someone based on an anonymous phone call. I think the writers tried to cover their hindquarters by inserting the language that Ricardo had to serve a probationary period, but I think he still would have a great case against them.
I got a big kick out of your rejection of Gerardo’s unconsciously being drawn to the Mónica inside Mondriana, Adriana. And that it was all about her hot bod!
I’m a bit confused about where they’re going with what happened when Mondriana touched the dije. As I remember it, I think Esteban researched it and discovered that it was an atrapa almas used as a protection to keep sleepwalkers from doing so. It appeared to have the opposite effect on Mondriana. She seemed to be sleepwalking rather instantly becoming Adriana and waking up confused in a large estate in Los Angeles. Then she seemed to almost wake when Gerardo took hold of her arms, but called him Diego. Should be an interesting episode tonight for Jean’s recap.
I paused the TV and looked again at the photograph that was in the envelope. It was an enlargement of the cell phone picture of Mónica and Adriana in the limousine. Remember when Mónica was urgently trying to locate Adriana because she sensed she was in danger? She made a copy of that picture for the private investigator and, maybe showed it to Selma. Not sure about the second part.

We left Carmina and Nina at the restaurant with Max about to come in. He hides out as Carmina grills Nina about the man she is meeting, married, rich? Best way to get him, get preggers. Carmina still thinks Nina is lying.
Ivana is mourning over Max again and both Tifon and Muricy comfort her. They watch some movie from when they were kids.
Carmina feels that Nina knows Rita very well. She wants to know where Rita is. Tell the truth! Nina won't say. Car goes and Nina talks to Max. She tells him, Car very suspicious and asked about Rita.
Tifon is making crepes in the kitchen and badly, I might add. Carmina comes in and he asks about that child she went to tend. Carmina is mad that Nina didn't come back right away, so she makes Tifon some crepes.
Nina and Max go to cabin and he says all Carmina needs is the DNA of Rita and she's busted. (Personally I don't see how, is Carmina gonna dig up Genesio for comparison?) Nina reminds him he's been with Car these 12 years and has got nothing. She tells him either trust her or trust Car. She will pay him more money. He accuses Nina of being nervous. He wants to dance with her and slimes on her, she has to get back or Carmina will have a cow. He wants cooked meals from Nina too and to wash his clothes.
Family at breakfast and Tifon is enjoying it as is Agatha. Nina made it and Car comes in as Agatha says she'd like to be a chef. Car nixes that and asks Nina how her Mama is. Tifon notices how rude Car is to Nina. Car feels Nina has too much time off. Tifon sticks up for Nina, stinkeye from Car.
Nilo is whining about not finding the money and has a friend come over. Actually he owes this guy and tells him to come with him.
Mama Lucinda is feeding the chickens and puts on lipstick and loosens her hair. One of the boys sees and kinda wants to know what is up with that? She is going to see an old friend.
Silas feels bad about what happened to Olenka, she's lost her place to live, her BFF, and her job too, she has nothing. Silas tells her au contraire, she can come be a partner in the bar. She likes that.
Mona Lisa gets Beverly, one of the women in the salon, as her new partner on a probationary trial to replace Olenka.
Jorgito is sleeping when Iran comes. Jorgito wants to be left alone. Iran wants him to get up and enjoy life. He isn't budging. Iran thinks Jorgito is acting like a drama king (galan style) from a telenovela ; )
At the cabin Car has come for a visit. Car tells Max all about there being no sick Mama for Nina. She feels Nina is a liar. Car insists she thinks Nina knows exactly where Rita is. She tells him about Nina being adopted and went to Argentina. Max won't help her and Car says she's alone in this, but if she finds out what woman Max is seeing on the side, well they die.
Iran comes to Tifon's and tells him that Jorgito is very depressed. He tells Nina not to say anything to Car and he goes off with Iran. When they get there Jorgito won't open the door. He made many mistakes and Tifon tries to tell him he's young, more fish in the sea, but Jorgito won't listen. Jorgito tells them he needs alone time to get his head on straight.

Nina comes to Jorgito's and bangs on the door till he lets her in. She tells him she's never betrayed him, will always be with him no matter what, he saved her at Tiradero when it stormed, and she loves him very much. They end up doing the deed. Afterwards, she says she's got to go to work, he tells her she needs a manicomio. She swears she'll tell him more of the truth, but she can't right now. She goes and Max calls her for a meet, Car is suspicious. Jorgito follows Nina.
Nilo brings that guy to Tiradero to the chicken coop and digs it up, no lana. The guy is pithed, cause Nilo owes him. Nilo goes to Mama L's hut and starts lighting things on fire, all the time screaming at the kids for Mama L's where abouts. Guys and kids from Tiradero manage to put it out. Nilo also hit by all the kids and that guy beats Nilo up and tells him either you pay me tomorrow or you die! Nilo is pithed cause the money wasn't there.
Mama Lucinda goes to a house, it looks like an artist's home and she greets the guy working, it's Santiago, who seems to have known Lucinda a long time. I think they may have been lovers at some point. Lucinda tells him she needs advice and a favor. She fills him in on the Nina/Rita revenge plot against Carmina, Santiago seems to know who Carmina is. She also tells him about the ransom money from the fake kidnapping and now wants a big favor and have him keep it for her and Nina. He is reluctant but gives in. Now he wants some coffee with Lucinda and they almost kiss. Oh, la la. But nothing happens that's all water under the bridge now. She thanks him and goes back to Tiradero to see her almost burned home. She just checks to make sure all the kids are okay and none of them were hurt. She curses Nilo.
Nina gets to the cabin and Jorgito is there too. Nina wants to know what it was Max couldn't tell her on the phone. She wants to know what Car said. He feels that Nina is outgunned and that Car is a master manipulator, when Jorgito comes in and he's pithed. Jorgito is mad cause they just did the deed, she says she loves Jorgito but ends up with Max. There is another fist fight, with Jorgito getting the worst of it and Max threatens him with a broken beer bottle. Nina tries to comfort Jorgito but he is way pithed. Jorgito goes. Max thinks maybe Nina is trying to get Tifon for herself and Nina gets on him for provoking Jorgito his own son. He's his dad for Dios' sake! He tries to slime on her again, but she tells him no once again. Nina feels her head is exploding and Car is very suspicious and if she finds out the truth goodbye revenge. She blows him a kiss and leaves.
Jorgito packs a bag he says he's gonna stay the night at his Dad's place. Iran comes home, sees Jorgito left a note saying he wants to be alone, and Iran checks the computer and finds out where he went. He goes to see Debora, who isn't happy to see him. He explains about Jorgito going off to the mountains on his own, he really needs help. Debora decides to go with Iran. They pack up and head to the mountains. They find Jorgito's car and search for him. They don't find him.
While Nina is out, ZeZe is a lookout while Car searches Nina's room. Car finds Begonia's hostel info and sets out. Car grills Begonia about Nina. Begonia cops that same attitude with Car and calls her a witch. Car is taken aback. She even threatens Begonia with the cops. Begonia is like go ahead. She does tell Carmina that her family, that would be Begonia's family owned a restaurant in Argentina and Nina was adopted. Car brings up Rita. Begonia is too slow to answer she doesnt' know a Rita. Car is suspicious while Begonia is trying to throw her out. Finally Car goes.

Nilo goes to Mama L's hut and starts lighting things on fire, all the time screaming at the kids for Mama L's where abouts. Guys and kids from Tiradero manage to put it out. Nilo also hit by all the kids and that guy beats Nilo up and tells him either you pay me tomorrow or you die! Nilo is pithed cause the money wasn't there.
Mama Lucinda goes to a house, it looks like an artist's home and she greets the guy working, it's Santiago, who seems to have known Lucinda a long time. I think they may have been lovers at some point. Lucinda tells him she needs advice and a favor. She fills him in on the Nina/Rita revenge plot against Carmina, Santiago seems to know who Carmina is. She also tells him about the ransom money from the fake kidnapping and now wants a big favor and have him keep it for her and Nina. He is reluctant but gives in. Now he wants some coffee with Lucinda and they almost kiss. Oh, la la. But nothing happens that's all water under the bridge now. She thanks him and goes back to Tiradero to see her almost burned home. She just checks to make sure all the kids are okay and none of them were hurt. She curses Nilo.
Nina gets to the cabin and Jorgito is there too. Nina wants to know what it was Max couldn't tell her on the phone. She wants to know what Car said. He feels that Nina is outgunned and that Car is a master manipulator, when Jorgito comes in and he's pithed. Jorgito is mad cause they just did the deed, she says she loves Jorgito but ends up with Max. There is another fist fight, with Jorgito getting the worst of it and Max threatens him with a broken beer bottle. Nina tries to comfort Jorgito but he is way pithed. Jorgito goes. Max thinks maybe Nina is trying to get Tifon for herself and Nina gets on him for provoking Jorgito his own son. He's his dad for Dios' sake! He tries to slime on her again, but she tells him no once again. Nina feels her head is exploding and Car is very suspicious and if she finds out the truth goodbye revenge. She blows him a kiss and leaves.
Jorgito packs a bag he says he's gonna stay the night at his Dad's place. Iran comes home, sees Jorgito left a note saying he wants to be alone, and Iran checks the computer and finds out where he went. He goes to see Debora, who isn't happy to see him. He explains about Jorgito going off to the mountains on his own, he really needs help. Debora decides to go with Iran. They pack up and head to the mountains. They find Jorgito's car and search for him. They don't find him.
While Nina is out, ZeZe is a lookout while Car searches Nina's room. Car finds Begonia's hostel info and sets out. Car grills Begonia about Nina. Begonia cops that same attitude with Car and calls her a witch. Car is taken aback. She even threatens Begonia with the cops. Begonia is like go ahead. She does tell Carmina that her family, that would be Begonia's family owned a restaurant in Argentina and Nina was adopted. Car brings up Rita. Begonia is too slow to answer she doesnt' know a Rita. Car is suspicious while Begonia is trying to throw her out. Finally Car goes.

Part III
There is a meeting of the Divino club with Dio, Leleco, Mona Lisa and Tifon about Roni and his offer to be on a pro team.
Suelen and Roni fight about pillows on the couch. Suelen is trying to seduce Roni, she says he'll like it, but he avoids it. He is way nervous and goes, while Suelen swears she'll get him to do it.
Tifon, Leleco, Agatha and Nina are in the kitchen trying out a concoction that Agatha came up with. They all like it. Car comes in all pithed off cause they were laughing and having a good time. She grabs the concoction and throws it in the trash as Leleco and Tifon yell at her. They are pithed. Car complains, I think, about Agatha's weight again, and demands that Nina go pull her a bath. Tifon is way pithed now, he insists to Car that this is not Nina's job. Her job is to cook y punto! After Car goes Tifon asks her to forgive Car. He goes and Nina and Agatha are crying. Poor Agatha feels her Mama hates her. Has never really said she loves her. Nina says that's ok. Nina loves Agatha and they hug.
Car is beyond pithed, when Tifon demands to be let in. Car spews on him and tells him about Begonia, and this part I think she made up. About Nina inheriting part of a hacienda in Argentina, why would she work as a chef. Tifon doesn't think that is strange. Anyways, Car tells him about the Mama that doesn't exist, she got that info from Jan went to the hospital no such person. Tifon thinks that Jan may have gotten the info wrong. Now Car spews that Nina is the accomplice to the thief that tried to rob them. Rita caused all this, and oh, my, I think she said that Rita may be Nina! Tifon now thinks that Car has lost her mind and is demented. She says she'll show the whole world who the crazy one really is.
Max has come to the house and Ivana begs him to come home. Muricy even says she'll convince Tifon to give Max the money he needs to open a bidness. Ivana would like to come visit Max where he lives, but he says no and goes.
Nina has to go the pharmacy for Muricy and Tifon and Leleco go out. Leleco and Tifon play pool and Leleco is thinking Car has rounded the bend and that Tifon should be thinking about getting with Nina. Leleco isn't liking the treatment that Carmina is giving to Nina. The dying mother was not a story that could last that long. It was surprising that no one had checked it out before.
I think that Debra and Iran's journey into the mountains is more about getting them together than finding Jorgito. Since Debra isn't going to get Jorgito, she has to end up with someone and she was involved with Iran before Jorgito, no?
The family eating dessert and fooling around was so cute until Carmina came in like a bucket of cold water and spoiled everything.

Emilio/Camelia/Miyera stop after their getaway and make plans, Emilio wants to sell the marijuana, Camelia thinks it will only cause more trouble, Emilio tries to explain what trouble they already have since she lit don Arulfo on fire.
Rosaura is holding a knife to don Antonio's throat when Lu appears with a shot gun, blam, she shoots the ceiling, Antonio breaks free of the knife but gets the butt of the shot gun to the head, Lu takes Rosaura out to the pigs, (I love the pigs) and rants about being sterile, but Antonio appears, and Benigno grabs Lu from behind and they break them up.
La Nacha is romancing Facundo/Moises (better known as Moi), and I think he is liking it, but he sees her paying off the cops, not something an undercover cop wants to see.
Xiang is making life jumpy for Aaron and Alison, but when they are alone he comforts her, and they kiss, (little emilio sees this from the stairs), she breaks it off, but then Aaron blurts out, Emilio has another girl.
at a motel Camelia and Emilio talk, she regrets burning Arulfo and other things, says she never did anything bad before meeting Emilio, he has turned her into a delinquent, but then as she thinks, but what choice did she have, she has to survive, Emilio, is well being Emilio, comforting her, telling her what she wants to hear, they get busy.

Arulfo is home, bandaged up, recovering, but then hears that Alma didn't come back with them, ut oh...

later Antonio grabs Benigno coming out of the bathroom, and jacks him up against the wall, and blames him for Rosaura showing up, then throws him out of the house.
Xiang gets another call, this time from Camelia, who has some mota to sell, he looks annoyed that a stranger is calling him, but they talk business, Camelia is good at this.
Emilio and Camelia go to make the sale, Emilio keeps saying that this is a dangerous part of town, very dangerous, and he looks nervous, but it's because this is the part of town where Alison lives, and she sees him with Camelia, pissed off she runs home upset, little emilio, who is already upset runs out and also happens to see Emilio and Camelia, papa?, Emilio seeing him as well and guns it, Alison catches up, and they hug, as Emilio speeds off...

En Otra Piel - Thursday - Part 1
Mondriana is wandering around zombie-like outside holding an envelope with the pictures of her and Mónica and the dije. Gerardo almost hits her with his car as he comes through the gate. She looks up at him and says, “Diego?” lets the dije slip out of her hand and faints.
Diego finds out from Gabriel that he and his brother grew up at Mónica Serrano’s estate. Diego remembers Mondriana saying that her name is Mónica Serrano. He asks Gerardo where the house is when Ricardo comes in and drops the bombshell that he has been fired from his job with the law firm. He claims that it was Elena messing in his life again. He doesn’t know why Elena is out to get him but he suspects it has something to do with Ricardo supporting Camila’s challenge of the will. He thinks that Camila and Emiliana may be in danger.
Lorena tells Elena that she has been observing Mondriana but hasn’t found anything to concern her. She doesn’t understand why she needs to keep an eye on Mondriana. Naturally, Elena doesn’t agree. She says that Mondriana is a stranger and they don’t know her intentions. She reminds Lorena that Emiliana’s well being is Lorena’s responsibility. Finally, she denies making the call that got Ricardo fired.
Marta goes to see Rodrigo. She tells him that Ricardo was fired from his job and that she suspects that Elena was responsible. She asks him to be a father and support his son. They rehash the circumstances that led to their breakup, acknowledge that they still love each other but for Marta it is too late. Marta leaves urging Rodrigo not to lose this opportunity to reconcile with his sons.
Mondriana wakes up and tells Gerardo that she doesn’t remember anything that happened. Gerardo tells her that she said the name, Diego, to him before she fainted. He asks who Diego is. She says that Diego is a friend but not a boyfriend. Diego sees the photo of Mónica and Adriana and says that it is surprising that Mónica never mentioned her. Mondriana asks Gerardo if he found an amulet when she fainted. He says no and she asks him to leave saying that she is fine now. She returns to the secret room but can’t find the dije.
Lupe tells Diego where the Serrano vineyard is located.
Elena has bought some sexy nightwear to turn Gerard on. Meanwhile, Camila and Ricardo are having trouble sleeping as they recall their pond-side lovemaking. They almost call each other but don’t.

The only strange thing is that she knows so much about the family as if she were her mother’s contemporary instead of Camila’s. Emiliana gives as the example Mondriana knowing the name of Mónica’s first husband’s brother. Emiliana asks Lorena if she knows why Jorge went away and Lorena responds that it was a family dispute but is vague about the details leading us in Viewerville to guess that both brothers were in love with Mónica and when Jorge lost her to Julian, he left the area. Then Emiliana finds the dije. She remembers that her mother brought it back from Mexico. She decides to keep it and put it on another chain since the clasp of the one it’s on is broken.
Mondriana dreams about Adriana’s meeting with Mónica in the taxi. She oversleeps and Emiliana wakes her up. Surprisingly Emiliana does not mention to Mondriana that she found an amulet. She tells Mondriana how Ricardo helped her with her homework and Gabriel was her best friend. Mondriana asks why they left the estate, Emiliana replies that Gabriel went into Elena’s room without knocking when she was changing and got fired. Then Ricardo left too in solidarity with his brother. Emiliana says that since her mother died, everything in the house has been bad.
Rodrigo’s attempt to reconcile with Ricardo is not successful.
Gerado overhears Mondriana and Emiliana planning to put flowers on Mónica’s grave.
Ricardo meets Camila. She can’t understand why he is blaming Elena for what happened. He continues to hold Elena responsible and they part angry.
The street hawker (whose name I don’t remember if we ever heard it) to whom Gabriel is a attracted was late to her job and someone else took her place. She still owes her daily fee of $50 to “Rottweiler” the head of the local gang. Gabriel offers to lend it to her without demanding payment in kind. She tells Gabriel that unless he has talents other than being a clown, she isn’t interested. He buys some spray cans from a guy and makes a giant graffiti mural of her. [Gabriel certainly didn’t learn how to do that at the Serrano estate.] The girl is impressed but the gang guys show up and says that Gabriel didn’t have permission to paint the wall.
Mondriana tells Selma and Esteban about what happened when she found the dije and that she lost it. She also tells them about her dream and that she felt guilty for taking Adriana’s body.

Camila is just too nasty. It also doesn’t really make sense that she would turn on Ricardo that way. She doesn’t even slightly entertain the thought that Elena, twice accused of sabotaging the brothers, might have done so. Of course, all novelas split up the loving couples constantly. But her behavior just rings false.

Part I
I didn't take notes today and may have missed some things. Here is what happened:
Tifon saves Nina from Max's clutches. Max's excuse he wanted Vitamin C. Tifon doesn't care about that, Max can get it himself. Stop bothering Nina. Nina tries to say it isn't anything but Max gets in the car and goes. Tifon, with Leleco's urging takes Nina for ice cream and they have a nice little chat.
Carmina boinks Tifon and then goes and boinks Max. Ewwww!!!!!
Jorgito is walking in the mountains thinking of that fight he had with Max and Nina being there and slips and falls into a creek. It kind of looked like a river in the dark. He hits his head on a rock and this is where Debora and Iran find him. They call Tifon and have a bad connection, but he gets the gist of what they are trying to tell him. That Jorgito had an accident, but then everyone wonders what Jorgito was doing up there and why Debora and Iran went in search of him. They think maybe he tried to kill himself. Carlitos and Veroncia come to Tifon's, they called him first, cause Debora called them, and then Mona Lisa too cause her baby is up there. Where is Carmina? I'll tell you.
She is at Lucio's she has a "special job" for him again. This time Lucio and a gang of thugs, go to where Betania works and then beat up Baldo pretty badly while they hold Betania back and Carmina is doing the questioning about Rita again. Where is she? Betania still won't tell, and those guys keep hitting Baldo, there are some cops nearby and Betania yells for them and so the guys and Carmina take off. She got nothing from Betania.
Nina goes to the Tiradero and Mama Lucinda shows and tells her what happened to her home. Nina is very upset and Mama Lucinda gives her 20,000 and tells her the rest is somewhere else and it is not going to Max. Nina is so shocked by what Nilo did. Nina begs for forgiveness, but Mama Lucinda is not giving her the rest of the money, it is Tifon's after all.
Later, Nina goes to Betania's and tries to talk to her. Betania tells her what happened with Baldo, who was responsible, and look there is Carmina in the car just watching the two of them. She feels she was right. Betania warns Nina if she doesn't quit that job and Carmina finds out who she really is, Carmina will kill her, no doubt. And no Betania didn't spill the beans.
Suelen tries seducing Roni again but it's not working. I missed a part, but Dolores, in front of Diogenes, Suelen, Roni and another guy fesses up to be Roni's Mama. Roni is floored. Dolores tells him she was in fact in the movies, porn movies that is. She was a Porno Queen star of the movies. Roni is pithed, I don't think about the movie part, just that she has been alive all this time and he thought she was dead. Now she is dead to him.
Carmina finally comes home and is informed about what happened to Jorgito. Iran calls Mona Lisa and says they got help and are transporting Jorgito to a hospital.

Carmina is clutching at Jorgito begging him to open his eyes and Tifon has to pull her off of him. They transfer him to ICU and a specialist is coming in to look at him and they are running tests. Max tells Carmina to go home, get some rest and then come back manana. She doesn't wanna go, but she goes while Tifon rolls his eyes.
Also earlier, when Nina went to see Betania she gave Tifon the excuse that she had to go the hospital and visit her Mama. Tifon just looks at her as she goes.
Tifon goes into Jorgito's room and he wakes for just a moment and calls Rita's name. Tifon is happy he opened his eyes and the Doc comes in and Tifon tells him what happened. The Doc says this is a good sign that Jorgito called out for a woman he knows. Jorgito is still unconscious. Tifon stays with him.
Tifon calls the house and talks to Ivana. He tells her that Jorgito opened his eyes and called for Rita. They are happy.
Nina is upset when she finds out that Jorgito was in the mountains and may have tried to kill himself. She blames herself. Nilo also stopped by looking for money and Begonia also came by to warn Nina that the bruja knows more and more and to be careful. Begonia feels that Carmina is very close to finding out who Nina really is.
Also when Mama Lucinda, Begonia and Baldo were together, Nina doesn't quite realize how foolish this venganza plan is, but sees the collateral damage that is occurring, but she is still determined to get her "justice"! Damn the consequences!
Carmina finally makes it home, and Nina and the kitchen staff find out that Jorgito opened his eyes and said Rita. Nina is very happy, Ivana told her, and Nina cooks a nice dinner and brings some to Carmina, who is very pithed. Carmina is sick of Nina, she can't stand her, she is in cahoots with Rita, Rita planted Nina in this house and that's it, Carmina is done. She fires Nina. Oy, Oy, Oy, can it possibly get any worse, and how is Nina gonna handle this now?????

Now my own thoughts. Now that Mama Lucinda has ferreted that money elsewhere, how is Nina going to cope with that? She won't be able to pay Max all that lana she promised him. He'd turn on her in a heartbeat. Same with Nilo, he wants his lana too.
Tifon looking at Nina that way about her "dying Mama" also isn't good. Her whole story is falling apart. Especially now that Carmina saw her with Betania. Carmina isn't far from finding out who Nina really is. Nina needs to come up with a smarter way of getting her revenge, maybe from outside the house.

I don't understand what more Rita could want? Everyone is on to Max, Tifon left Carmina - all should have ended there. What more could Rita think she can get out of this "revenge" thing. The only one that is suffering is Jorgito, who in turn is making us suffer for being such a wimp.

Every time Carmina goes on one of her rants the family looks at her with more surprise; she used to have much more control of her temper, but especially today, with Jorgito, she totally lost it; she was the one to mention suicide, while everyone else urged her not to jump to conclusions.
From what I got from Lucinda's talk with Santiago, she considers that she doesn't deserve better than the Tiradero, because of something that she's done a long time ago. Santiago thinks she paid her dues, but she doesn't want to abandon the kids, either.
Deborah and Iran are only now getting to know one another. Just the other day Iran was amazed by the way that Jorgito managed to land a girl del sur.
Their interactions are also rather shy, like those of two people who just got acquainted. But I can totally see them happening.
Not so sure about Roni and Suelen anymore. Is he really gay and in love with Leandro? She is obviously falling for him, since she's refusing all other guys... or could this be a dare for her?
Nina has lost all common sense. This is setting up to end in tragedy for both the prota and the villain.

Of course he recognizes Dolores and says how wonderful it is that the family is reunited, the mother and father of the groom. Roni asks Dolores if she is his mother and she fesses up and admits that she was a porn actress. And yes, she is dead to him.
Olenka tells Silas that she wants to have her own money, kind of like Monalisa, instead of having to depend on him for everything. I wonder if this is a way out of the relationship for her.

I sort of think Arnulfo gave Jacinto the order to kill little Alma (I could be wrong here). Jacinto said but she has powers. She sure does.
As we've seen in other shows, the big druglord (here, La Nacha) is adored by the poor, because the druglord is always buying lots of stuff for the community. In fact, La Nacha sees herself as good, her drug thing is just a business.
And she admits killing a woman in jail with her bare hands. In fact, she keeps the woman's ashes right here in this box!
Many of the characters are comical, while still being deadly. Such as Antonio and Arnulfo, the elder fools, and Alacran and Jacinto, the enforcer fools. I laugh every time one of them gets into hot water (which is a lot).
Then you have the women. Since they all seem to love the same guys, there's quite a lot of jealousy to go around.

Many of the characters are comical, while still being deadly. Such as Antonio and Arnulfo, the elder fools, and Alacran and Jacinto, the enforcer fools. I laugh every time one of them gets into hot water (which is a lot).
Then you have the women. Since they all seem to love the same guys, there's quite a lot of jealousy to go around.

I just love how Tifon's family all talk at the same time. It was bedlam when they were all going crazy with worry about Jorgito. Then Muricy sends Adauto out to get candles so that they can say prayers and he comes back with football team candles, I think.

When Emilio finds out, he tells the kid not to grow up like him, but looks secretly a little proud.
Allison is mad as hell at Emilio, is packing her bags for San Francisco to take Emi, but first, she tracks down Camelia, and confronts her at the hotel room. Xiang had gone there to buy the mota, but when Cammie started insulting him about working for Antonio, that deal didn't fly. When Allison arrives, she's got a knife, Cami has a gun. Neither tells the other much. Ali knows that Cami loves Emilio, and warns her, if she only knew (that Ali was the wife, and there's a kid). But she doesn't finish the sentence, leaving Cami wondering what other lies Emilio is spewing.
Facundo complains to Carson what he has to do, but Carson just tells him to suck it up. When told that La Nacha is a folk hero, Carson isn't happy, but still, the big plan is to track all the dealers, suppliers, etc., and stop it all (fat chance). Rosaura sees the two guys talking, and she could blow their covers, but they seem to convince her that they'll get her daughter back (fatter chance).
Tony is still in the doghouse with Lu.
Xiang gets a surfer dude to smuggle the pot across the border in hollowed out boards, and it works!
Jacinto IS supposed to kill Alma, and tells this to Facundo.
Arnulfo's burnt face is so ugly, it almost makes a mute girl speak! He continues to amuse with his vanity.

I can't remember but does Camelia know who her dad is, I was thinking the deal with Xiang broke down when she found out he wasn't the boss, but what is it about Antonio that upsets her, (I wonder if she'll remember later that she shot him). Camelia seems to have a real talent for this narco game, and handled Xiang much better than Aaron and Alison have been. (I guess Aaron never got his radios back because his shop is empty)

Part 1
Diego arrives at the gates of the mansion and talks to Marta. She tells him that he can't see Monica Serrano, because she died. Camila shows up in her car and Marta asks Diego to leave.
When she explains to Camila who he was looking for, Camila thinks he might be a fan of her mother's music.
They also talk about Ricardo; Camila thinks that the relationship is doomed, because she can't accept the way he treats her cousin.
Ricardo is home, talking with the professor who recommended him on the phone; the guy believes that he's an abuser, too. Rodrigo tries to bond with him over how they were both wronged and people turned their backs on them. Ricardo pouts - he's nothing lke his father, he will succed on his own if he has to.
I'm starting to think that Ricardo's journey will be hitting rock bottom and then finally cutting his father some slack. Normally, I would side with the abandoned kid, but Ricardo is so utterly annoying, I hope he eats some dust before all is said and done.
Elena had the bright idea to suggest to Ernesto aka "Tranquiqui Bro" to seduce Camila. The girl has some knowledge about wine from her father and her oenology studies in Paris, but Elena doesn't want Camila to get too close to the company OR share any of the fortune with her.
Ernesto is not sure that Camila will be easy to trick, but Elena rightfully points out how bad Camila took her father's death and the fragile state she's in now.
As Jean expertly pointed out, Gerardo is putting on quite a show for Emi and Mondriana, at Monica's grave; as they are watching from behind, he mourns his dearly departed and expresses how lonely he feels without her in their big empty bed and how much he loved her and her music and whatnot. Mondriana has that idiotic smile that she always gets when it comes to Gerardo - I hope she finds out something nasty about him soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
When the girls reveal their presence, Gerardo is, oh, so embarassed, but before leaving with them, he doesn't waste the opportunity to repeat to Mondriana that he feels so very lonely without his wife, and there she is, showing up out of the nowhere - he just couldn't help himslef, he's overcome by grief or something.
Mondriana somehow manages to hold it together long enough to tell him that as time goes by, it will get easier.
Then, in the car, as Monica's music plays on, Gerardo and Emi reminisce about her, as Mondriana listens to them. Perfect little family, one would say.
Elena introduces Camila to Ernesto and he quickly makes one of those telenovela declarations: he feels that Camila is going to be a very important person in his life. This earns him a stink eye from her, but then both he and Elena come up with a story about his research into some kind of revolutionary wine production technique or something. So, could Camila be so kind as to be Ernesto's guide around the vines?
Gerardo shows up with the girls and is pretty shocked to see his brother there. Later on Elena explains her plan and warns him not to reveal to anyone that he and Ernesto are brothers, because Camila hates him.(If they have the last name, I don't really see this possible)
Also, Gerardo makes his game clear, in explaining in front of Elena his show at the cemetery; he doesn't admit that he was doing it to impress Mondriana, though; he did it for Emi, he has to keep up the charade.
Camila and Ernesto visit the vines and eat some grapes; they talk wine in general, fun facts and trivia about wine, his wine collection that she's more than welcomed to see... you get the point, there is a lot of wine talking, that's kind of like foreplay. As far as I can tell Camila is falling for his charm.

After the ice is broken, the two talk about Gabriel supposedly harassing Elena - Mondriana almost says more than she should know about the two of them growing up together. Then the talk turns to Camila and Ricardo, who had a thing but broke up because of the overall anymosity with Elena.
The romance is complete news for Mondriana, which means that back in the day, when Camila and Ricardo were younger, she really had no idea what her daughter was up to.
Emi has replaced the chain of the amulet with another one and she puts it on.
She goes to visit Mondriana and they chat about the type of party they should throw for Monica's birthday. Mondriana asks her what is going on between Camila and Ricardo.
In the funniest scene of the day, Emi explains to Mondriana that Camila has been involved with a bunch of guys in Paris, she's been around the block, but she really loves Ricardo and they are going to get married. Mondriana is a little shocked, she thinks they are too young (and too stupid, if you ask me).
While Emi is searching for something in the fridge, Mondriana sees that she's wearing the amulet. She screams and freaks out at first, but then she explains that the amulet belongs to her, not old Monica. This matches the story that Emi knows from her mother, too, so she gives the amulet back to Mondriana. Nothing happens when she touches the chain, I believe it's just the amulet thingie that has "the powers".
Later on Mondriana calls Selma to tell her about the amulet and how much Gerardo luuuvs her.
Diego is back at the pension; he tells the landlady that he didn't look for a job that day, but for a lady who used to know Adriana. He searches some information online about Monica Serrano's death and finds out that she died the same day as Adriana had her almost dead but not quite experience. Que raro...
Valeria has another nightmare with the judge; Diego hears her scream and gets inside her room, which only makes her more hysterical.
At the dinner table, Emi mentions having seen a photo of her mother with young Monica. Elena looks peeved. Gerardo suggests throwing a party as an homage for Monica's birthday; at first Camila doesn't think it's appropriate, but then she agrees.
Alone with Gerardo, Lorena wonders if at least some of his so called affection is sincere, or he's just a big hypocrite. Apparently, a hypocrite it is, since he gives us one of his half evil smiles when he's left alone.
While Mondriana is saying goodnight to Emi, Elena starts searching the drawers in the guest house. She finds the photo and when Mondriana returns, she asks her why she lied about keeping in touch with Monica via the Internet and phone; she somehow guessed that the photo was taken in Mexico (I'm thinking she remembered the clothes that Monica was wearing the last time she traveled?)

Wow so much going on in this novels and it is not predictable. Just looking at Arunfolo makes me laugh though he is a cold blooded killer. I would not want to be on the bad side of Lu or Xaing. Wonder what will happen if Allison if does not reciprocate for the help with Bill.

Thanks for the recaps & comments. The thing I like about this novela is there is never a dull moment and it steers away from the trite novlea clichés. As I mentioned before I can not for the life of me see Camelia's attraction ( or anyone else for that matter) to Emilio, but I will live with it because I like the novlea as a whole with all it's interesting characters. I don't know if this was mentioned previously, but I think Aaron and Allison have already had a physical relationship. When her son was watching them kiss, Allison stopped Aaron. Aaron asked why since they have already been together before. I might be wrong since I am still learning spanish.

I suspect you're right about Ricardo having to hit bottom before he forgives his father. His self-righteous, Little Prince attitude gets on my nerves.
Elena definitely senses something about Gerardo's feelings toward Mondriana. She was very sharpish when she zeroed in on his graveside performance having been to impress la institutriz. And that was exactly what it was about. When Mondriana criticized him for the passionate kiss and thought he didn't love his deceased wife that much, he decided to convince her otherwise. His self-satisfied smirk at the gravesite when he turned his head away was the evidence.
My recording cut off while Elena was still searching Mondriana's room, so I missed the scene between the two of them. But did Mondriana just meekly accept that harpy searching her room? I'd like to see Adriana return for one scene. She'd light right into Elena about the invasion of privacy.
I would say that this is one thing that bothers me a bit about the novela. If I were writing it, I'd have Adriana return once in a while! I so liked that feisty barrio girl. I think Maria Luisa is doing a good job of showing the mild, artistic, sentimental persona of Mónica inside Adriana's body. But I miss the other one!

Deb, I did write the recap in the middle of the night, since I watched the show very late; I didn't want to postpone it because I knew that today I would be very busy.
I wasn't too tired while writing, but that got me a little too wired up and afterwards I couldn't go to sleep.

Novelera, we didn't get to see Mondriana's reaction because the show ended immediately after she entered the house and Elena started screaming at her about the photo being taken in Mexico.
I, too, hope that Mondriana will show some spunk or at least start to consider the true role that Elena is playing in the house.

I wonder how come the connection between the two women is so powerful that the dije influences them both. Emi seemed to be fine wearing it - for a moment I was afraid Adriana's soul will take over and we would see a 12 year old lusting over Diego. Glad they didn't go there.

EOP has a lot more relationship between the body exchangers than ECDD where Pedro Jose had never met Salvador and there was never any suggestion of a connection. There was also no amulet or anything physical that aided the tranmigration.
Salvador did return to his body a few times towards the end of ECDD. One time that I remember, he was trying to save a kidnapped kid from some bad guys. Now PJ was a martial arts specialist but Salvador had no fighting skills. So when Salvador got back in his body, the bad guys had their way with him.
I still think that Gabriel will end up with Valeria, not Jennifer, but who knows.

Valeria and Gabriel? What an opposites attract pair they would make! I suspect Valeria was timid and quiet before Judge Pervo got his hands on her. And Gabriel is a huge flirt and an extrovert. If he were faithful, he probably would be good for her.

I'm not watching this show, but I I saw a show at the Latino Film Festival with Luis Ernesto Franco, your Alacran. The movie, "No se si cortarme los venas o dejarmelas largas", also had Zuria Vega and Raul Mendez (Chacorta, who I didn't even recognize). Fun movie, though, if you get a chance to see it.

my take on the "dije" is that it is unique to Adriana and her body, worn specifically to prevent her (Adriana) from wandering, and the only one else affected then would be Monica, when Adriana comes home.
(ah yes, a lust filled 12 year old, that would liven things up, ha!)
and I agree, there must be some spiritual connection between Monica and Adriana that set up Monica getting her body in the first place, when she drifted off, but I think this is a little too deep for a novela and they will probably just skip this part.

This is pure speculation. Though I like the idea of Monica or Adriana's soul inhabiting another body at the end (possibly Elena's as someone suggested awhile back). I think Monica's is going to end up in heaven.
