I'm still catching up with last week's episodes, but I am constantly struck by the fact that the actress playing Catalina is (IMO) the prettiest and best dressed character we have. I wish she had gotten the Blancoria part.

Jaja, I agree with you Sara, Cata is a beauiful woman and I like her acting. I don't know why, but I dislike Lisette. It is odd me, because I liked her years ago in Alma Rebelde, but in my eyes she staled, so expressionless.

And I'm also still caching up with last week's episodes.
 

I don't dislike Lisette. I'm just not buying her in this role.
 

I should add this is my first time seeing her.
 

I can't for the life of me remember why Eduardo agreed to help Victoria get into the family's safe. But clearly it was a setup with the false birth information about Adriano's son. Blanca almost blew it when she said to Ed "I know who this is, I've known him all along".

Well we all got our wish, to see Val again. But why would Raqhell say to Leon "You have to do what I say, after all, I am the only living daughter you have left", and Leon nods his head. Is he senile, or was she rubbing his past sins in his face?

Anyway, my favorite thing in the last few days was the catfight between Vic and Mariana. Meowwww!!!

Some interesting developments.

I have a question:
Does Valentina know who the child is? I either missed that info or I can't remember.
 

OH, and I wish I had the abilities to do screencaps, because some of the looks Tita was shooting at Rafa while he was talking to Ed and Adriano were hilarious!
 

Oh! And yes, Tofie! Completely agree with the Leticia twist. Now, how is she going to get out of jail and wreak havoc?

Me too and loved it when Val resisted Raquel the other day. Perhaps Val will be the one to pass some note to Adriano.

I'm also glad we have a live Leticia in the pen for a murder she didn't commit. All this running around about Rafa being the child has strung on too long for me. How do you tell a neighborhood a kid is adopted when Tita has lived there for years and people knew she was pregnant as Vicki has just uncovered. Also Adriano relying on a letter to trump a DNA test when Raquel has already thrown that pitch before.

Does Valentina know who the child is? Dunno. I guess she knows that Raqhell took the baby away. And as for Letitia, what crime did Raqhell frame her for? Was it Valentina's "death"? Did Val supposedly die in a car crash?

Okay, Leonidas is the worst kind of evil...he stands by while Raqhell imprisons Valentina for 20 years. He goes to visit Valentina and says, Oh, I only pray you can forgive me. Yah right, Dad.

But ooh, things are heating up! The governor admits that the tumba of Valentina was empty when they "exhumed" Valentina the first time. The wedding of Cat and Chris is back on (bad idea!) Fernanda is finally starting to earn her pay and unearth clues about the mystery woman, Letitia. Rafael admitted to Raqhell that Mariana isn't motivated by money or maternal love...she is trying to avoid "Cualquiera-cide" by Richi and his thugs.

I love it when a novela makes me gasp out loud and clap my hand over my mouth! Happens almost every night on this show!

I'm watching right now and I laughed my butt off when Raqhell and Mariana were playing nice in front of Sofia. I lived when Mariana busted out with "we'll see so much more of each other since I'll be living here!" Ha!
 

I had several belly laughs with this episode. The conversation between Mariana and Raquel, when Karina invited herself to dinner with Jorge and when Tita and Blanca were talking at the restaurant and Blanca got called out by her lying to everyone.
 

I, too enjoyed Tita ripping into Blanca.

Adriano is a fool, besides being a desperate idiot (well, they sort of either cancel each other out or he's doubly dumb). A letter is as good as or better than a DNA test? In this instance, I'm with Blancoria. Show me the test results, then I'll go back to NYC.

It'll be interesting to see how Raquel manages to dodge that bullet. She indicated that she has it all planned.

I guess all she has to do is get a sample of the "real" missing heir, a.k.a. Ed, Cris or Jorgie and substitute it. There'll be another payoff there somewhere.

Still, I don't understand that if the shipyard is tanking where is all the money coming from to make the payoffs. She's also putting the cart before the donkey when promising Rafa millions of dollars (euros or pesos, juarever).


 

I've been wondering about all the payoffs she's been promising as well. Perhaps she is embezzling from her own company and paying from her private funds?
 

You even had Jorge asking for money to save the orphanage, plus the love den for Rafa and the internment for Val. Doesn't sound like someone worried about money. If she imprisons Adriano how she gonna get his cash and Vicki hasn't a red cent sliding around that big black bag. If she is planning on Rafa getting his hands on Adriano's cash that will take way too long and the banks would close the doors.
 

Okay someone can delete me if this was from the avances, but after Rafa revealed Mariana's mob connection, wasn't Raq demanding that Mariana tell her how to get in touch with Richie y sus thugs? Sounded like she was going to throw her cards in with them and get an infusion of mob money.

I like the scenes where Ramon and Jorge put aside their differences and team up to help the orphans. Would serve Karina right if they became friends again and she ended up with neither one of them.

A psychiatric facility with no security where you can just walk in and wander the halls (like Fernanda did). Then, security guard opens the gate to let Fernanda in, then wanders off and leaves the gate open so the hired assassin can waltz in? Come on writers, earn your money!

Raqhell has been a busy lady. She is toying with Rafa like a big ol' cat with a mouse, but there's no doubt of his final fate. Mariana is delighted to be off the hook with Ritchie, but for how long? And Raq has offered Ramon wads of money for the orfanato if he will talk Jorge out of becoming a priest. Glad Ramon told Jorge about this, somebody should know what a schemer Mama is.

Wardrobe put both Victoria and Mariana in sleezy black dresses with sheer lace over the shoulders, it was like a fashion showdown at Mariana's apartment.

Okay, and the DNA test: will anyone notice that the vial with Rafa's saliva sample has a totally different label than the hospital uses? Or maybe Raq also has friends in the lab...

Did Raquell throw the phone into the fire without checking to see if it was in fact the recording Tuerto made that was on it? Could Mariana have taken the chip out as security from Raquell? Hmmm
 

April, I didn't see Raquel check the phone before she threw it into the fire. She may have been duped again or Mariana kept a copy.

JnO, yeah I saw the vials didn't match too. Telemundo is insulting us.

Last night the two things I liked was when Raquel told Richie she wanted to talk to his boss and when Ramon broke up with Karina. Otherwise, the whole Fernanda chase and capture thing stunk, Vicki thinking she was in a position to threaten Mariana, the number of times the DNA clinic told us the testing procedure was fool proof and that whole Ed & Vicki, love me love me not routine. I had high hopes when Fernanda connected the dots and found Val but they ran the puppy right off the tracks so instead we are left with Rafa is Adrianos son, told you so, see the test prove it.
 

I wish they would do a bit more character development of the secondary characters like Fernanda, Socorro, even Domingo. They've jerked us around with Fernanda, switching sides, then back again. I couldn't believe a trained security guard opened Adriano's gate for her, then they both turn and walk away, leaving the gate open.

Also, I noticed last time we saw Valentina in the asylum, she had eye makeup for the first time. They are more attractive, a good sign of progress. Wonder if she and Adriano will re-unite, only to be torn apart again by Raq?

BTW, when Raq and her thugs built that fire on the patio, I thought they were going to use it to torture someone to make them talk. Oh silly me!

I noticed Val is more attractive and hope she and Adriano head to NYC to live happily ever after but right now I want to see more Cat.

Socorro gave me a weird vibe last night when she was talking to Fernando but maybe she was just over acting.

The other I wanted to see more of was Cat's brother but he's gone.

I'm sick of seeing Vicki (really, really, really) and Karina
 

Yes Tofie and it was very satisfying to see Ramon tell Karina, so sweetly, that he didn't feel the same about her anymore.
Karina played her cards wrong and now she must pay the Karma tax.

What was Socorro's tory? She showed up at the beginning, as Valentina's former servant, to tell Adriano that Valentina had a baby before she died. Then, suddenly, she's dressing nicely and hanging out with the whole Adriano gang. No visible means of support.

Also, that Ritchie has killer eyelashes!!!

Socorro won the lottery and she now has millions. She even offered to loan money to Raquel but Raquel didn't want her money because she had been a servant

I like Soccoro and Domingo. Fernanda came along on this project as Adriano's attorney, it was so flakey to have her defect and then return, I still wasn't sure if she was two-timing Adriano. It was pretty creepy when she was trying to escape from hired killer in those stilletos, and stops at a payphone to try and call her mom...
