De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #33 4/23/14

De que tienen tanta terquedad, tienen tanta terquedad.

Just some happenings and thoughts. No particular order.

Now that Nat and Diego have cleared things up, he assures her he will get that divorce and then they can make lots of babies together.
Analysis: Diego and Nat have.to.stop. Yeah, they are the main couple. It's why we're all here...but HE'S STILL MARRIED granted to a shrew but they are just handing Diana and her shark of a lawyer more ammunition!

Lupita wonders if Eleazar is mad since Chato is back just when he and Carmen are becoming novios. She saw them kissing. He tries to play it off. Lupita tells Eleazar that Chato may be her dad, but she still prefers Eleazar.
Analysis: This kid is good. She can read and play any situation. Eleazar is completely wrapped around her finger.

The business trip hits the skids. Diego decides to take the road less traveled and gets the car stuck. When he finally frees the car, he runs it into a tree. Cue the dead cell phone battery. Cue the sun going down. Nat trips and twists her ankle. Eventually they make it to a doctor and get her fixed up. They end up taking a bus home...much later than planned.
Analysis: See note above. This trip is going to come back to bite Diego on the culo.

When Nat called home to let them know she would be late, Brigitte got suspicious and nosy. No one would be working that late and why did Nat call from a long-distance number. Carmen and Abdul defend Nat. This does not sit will with Brigitte. Why do they always defend Nat?
Analysis: 1. Because you're a brat. 2. Nat, watch your back.

Tiburcio continues to agonize about Irene and her lost child. Irene continues to be very cold to him. Grumps thinks Tiburcio needs to shut his trap and go prune something.
Analysis: Prune Grumps.

Grumps is looking for something in his office and notices Irene has been on his computer. He pitches a fit. There is sensitive material on that computer! Irene apologizes. Grumps knew it was Irene because apparently she had left the image search up and he knew immediately it was her. She was googling fashion design!! Couldn't she at least be interested in something serious? Irene thought bubbles that Grumps may change his tune when Caprico Moda takes off.
Analysis: Oh, Irene. I love you girlfriend, but fashion design involves more than an internet search.

Karina tells Diana it's time to help pay expenses. Diana can't ask her parents. The would disinherit her if they found out she was getting a divorce because she cheated! Karina thinks the wedding rings would fetch a nice price. Unfortunately, the pawn shop doesn't know quality and they offer a paltry sum (well, Diana thinks so.) Diana runs into Sexter in the pawn shop. It seems he is also in need of cash and he doesn't need his TV anymore anyway. Sexter asks if she's pregnant. Diana pitches an epic fit and lets all the clientele know she lost her husband because of the Sexter. Karina hustles her out.
Analysis: 1. You lost your husband because you're a ho, Diana. 2. Sexter's question about the pregnancy seemed out of left field to me.

Chato brings a serenade to Carmen's house. Brigitte is not impressed. Carmen is not home. She's at Eleazar's trying to make amends and is just about to tell him that the kiss meant quite a lot to her when Kimberly slithers out from behind Eleazar (he had called her earlier 'cause he's a pouty girl.) Carmen leaves and Eleazar follows. It's a shame Chato picks that moment to call Carmen and ask where she is. Carmen makes a show out of the call and Eleazar is left thinking she's falling for Chato's crap charms.
Analysis: These two are killing me. I'll give the writers no more than 20 episode. Fix this.

Chato sends Andres to pick up Carmen from Eleazar's building. Andres is to take her to a secret location per Chato's instructions. Dining al fresco awaits. Chato al fresco also awaits. Carmen slaps him. He falls down a hill. He deserved it.
Analysis: She looked pretty giddy about the lit up car and the dinner. It wasn't until Chato grabbed Carmen's azz that she slapped him. He's still calling you Carmela after your repeated requests to stop. Carmen, I'm worried. I really think you have sub-par decision making skills when it comes to men. You get swept up in the moment way too quickly.

Irene calls Alonso to chat. He acts like a jealous girl with regards to Tad.
Analysis: Way to play it cool, Al.

Diana comes back to the Caceres manse and she brought her lawyer. The lawyer informs Irene that Diana is pregnant and the child was conceived in the course of the marriage and Diego should not have thrown her out.
Analysis: Insert your own expletive of choice.

I was pretty happy with this episode...until Diana came back to the house.

And could someone fill in what Andres was saying about the taxi biz? I spaced out/didn't really care. Is Chato some sort of taxi mafioso?

Sexter asked Diana a few episodes ago if she was pregnant so it wasn't out of left field.

Thanks so much for your recap and analysis, Sara. Oh, I really liked your observation about Carmen and El both looking for love in all the wrong places.

I thought Andres was telling Carmen about Chato being the boss of the taxi stand. Based on all the money he supposedly earns, Chato should be rolling in cash so yes he may be a mob lackey. But if he has money, what's his angle w/Carmen, aside from sex?

Sexter's question I thought was b/c of dumb Diana and Karina's ranting. At the time, Karina kept screaming think of the baby.

Diana's return was a downer and such a ploy. She has to stay in the house until the child's DNA can be determined. Thank goodness they are rich and the house is big.

My theory with Chato is that he has had performance issues ever since he left Carmen.

Oops! I forgot to thank Karen for filling me in about Andres' dialogue about the taxi biz.

I don't know how I missed Karina's think about the baby comment. I was multitasking last night and was in and out of the room. Apparently I don't hear everything from the kitchen like I think I do. Lol. I guess Sexter's question wasn't so out of left field.

So Univision claims this is going to be a "jueves inolvidable" for ALL the TNs in the lineup. Should be interesting.

Sara, I missed this entire episode (drat), so was thrilled with your interesting, detailed laden recap. Each Analysis was better than the next. Very clever.

"HE'S STILL MARRIED granted to a shrew", "Analysis: 1. Because you're a brat. 2. Nat, watch your back", "Analysis: Oh, Irene. I love you girlfriend, but fashion design involves more than an internet search" and my favorite: "Analysis: These two are killing me. I'll give the writers no more than 20 episode. Fix this" were fantastic!

So we have the inevitable car breakdwon with Diego and Nat for which you rightly noted no good can come. Sigh.

Diana was smart to esconse herself in the house once again. She is making a bold statement that she has every right to be there and that the child is Diego's. Of course the fact is that is a bald faced lie, however legally, it is the intelligent thing to do...

Sara, thanks for another stellar recap.

Diana

Sara, that was my theory about Chato, too! Andres' face when he told him the problem made me think that.

Gracias, Sara! Your analyses are right on :)

I hate that the baby is legally Diego's child until proven otherwise by the DNA test and that Diana can drag her heels on the DNA test. And just because he can't leave her homeless because she's pregnant doesn't mean he can't send her to live in a hotel or apartment and just pay for it. Or let her live there and he can go somewhere else. Though, I guess either way is going to look bad in front of a judge...until they show the evidence of her cheating.

I missed the reason Sexter asked if she was pregnant, too. I think I'm becoming deaf to both her and Karina.

Diego could demand a DNA test on the baby when it's born.

Most babies are legally presumed to be the husband's until proven otherwise.

Diego may have to let Diana stay but he doesn't have to give her any access to any credit cards etc.

Grumps might have the cure for Diana, though.

In one of Diana & Oliverio's trysts, she threw up so I'm sure he suspected at that time.

I'm posting this link again, don't miss guapo Alonso.

Sara- Thanks so much for the recap! I'm back from NYC and trying to catch up. I haven't seen the kiss episode yet, but looking forward to it.

I'm glad Carmen realized quite quickly that Chato was up to no good. But I am very worried about Carmen's continued bad judgement in men, when she was so easily impressed by Chato's lame attempts at romance and seduction. I think she should bring Lupita on all her dates as a chaperone and to help her figure out quickly who the duds are.

Variopinta- Thanks for the link to the photos of Carlos (Alonso). He has very soulful eyes, and a look that's not "pretty boy", but very attractive nonetheless.

Wow his eyes look green! Are they? I had not noticed that onscreen.

Variopinta, thanks so much for the link.

Hey Vivi. You will definitely enjoy the kiss!!
