Lo que la vida me robó, ep. 120, Tues. 4/29/14: Get Back
Labels: robo
Clearly, bitterness is in the air these days, especially in any episode that focuses on José Luis and or Graciela and Fabiola.
Enjoy the show!
Fabiola and her bottle of "special" vintage! I'm surprised she cares so much about its wonderful bouquet, since she's so quick to swill down any and every wine she encounters!
Also feeling a little dubious about the cell phone working after seven years in the desk drawer.
Refugio is acting so stupid ,he should take a long long vacation and focus on his wife, instead he is wasting time trying to get hopes up with other women.I wanted to smack him bad that night, his only redeemable trait is that he has inbuilt Maria Sense, otherwise he has some crappy braincells.
Yuck now Pedro has even more information to destroy Monses family, muchas gracias Amelia!
Be careful JL,your Faboulus flitrer is a multitasker, she knows how to wine, whine but can she Vine?
My favorite, [THE CHORUS OF SPOOKY MALE VOICES SOUNDS HERE] cracked me up. I think of it of the choir of doom.
So well written. And the grammar is so helpful. The phrase by JL, thanks.
I am still in the dark- Chayo, Chela. Does one of those terms mean brat and one mean rube?
Google is failing me on these. Are they affectionate terms?
Also liked your description of Monica's and Refug's conversation, "He is suggesting strategies, but we suspect his intensity would be the same if they were choosing items to order on a Chinese menu."
Poor goofball, he thinks Monica likes him. Thank goodness she doesn't!
Our Sleeping Prince-anyone know what that contraption is around his head? Kind of looks like something to measure brain waves, but the light bulbs?
Mr eMarie says it might be an EEG machine but in real life there are no light bulbs and you don't leave it on the pt's head.
IT'S HYSTERICAL. Maybe we are going to see those lights start flashing when Ale comes out of his coma, it's going to be really funny if that happens. I think that contraption is like a visualization of that beanie we all keep talking about.
"He is suggesting strategies, but we suspect his intensity would be the same if they were choosing items to order on a Chinese menu."
Emarie and I picked the same favorite quote (not surprising, I've noticed that before...) but from your words I can just imagine the über-intense look that poor dolt must have on his face. Hate this part of the story. Esmeralda (and every pregnant wife) deserves better than this. Very touchy storyline for me.
Loved all your translations and interpretations. The limosnera dicho has always puzzled me. Still don't quite get it, but then I remember how at first "me caes gordo" seemed an insane way to express a negative feeling. Eventually, hopefully, I'll feel comfortable one day with the limosnera dicho as well.
Computer has already needed to be resuscitated 3 times today (unlike the magical cellphone) so if i don't reappear, have a great day everybody! And thanks NovelaMaven. Looking forward to watching this later.
La Paloma, I don't think Fabiola really knows all that much about wine. She's trying to impress JL and it's obviously not working.
Demetrios, I completely agree with you about Refugio. He needs to man up and stick with Esmeralda.
I don't like this new attitude of JL's. The person who stole his life is Gracie and he's handing her dinero. He should be wondering what she's done with money given to her in the past and money she stole from Monserrat after the sale of the hacienda, which should have been more money than she got from Alejandro for the land she sold to him at the outset.
Interesting how the hacienda purchase price was dissipated in six months while Monserrat started a business and bought a house on the money the Navy returned to her.
Now I've gone on record as saying to me JL just doesn't "work" for me, but he took a whole 'nother step away from my good will last night with that brief reveal to Fabs last night. So now this is a revenge scenario? He's going after Monse with what he says is love, but it seems to me more to prove a point and "win" this time around.
And I still resent the fact he is taking Angie's inheritance and using it to pay off the witch. If he even THINKS about caving to Fabs and her sex only scenario, yeah, I'm totally done with him. I know he's been in jail a long time, but call up Dim, he could set him up with some dates.
Macario was so cute last night with Graceless. And poor Esme, she deserves better than that schmuck she married. What is wrong with Refugio? When he did THE SNIFF, I wanted to slap him silly. (Seems I was being jostled in line with several patio members for that honor.)
But of course, said Cap-i-tan is talking Dim, which I'm hoping signals we get a return of Fina soon. She HAS to come back, I will not accept she's gone for good. There is nothing with Dim and his boss that spells chemistry.
How come my cell phone starts acting up the minute my contract is almost up and Monse with a quick recharge can get a 7 year old cell to work. Beanie implosion time...but whatever.
Daisynjay
Forgot this before but Gracie has some damn nerve being in Monserrat's house in her absence. This would never fly in my family and if I were Monserrat I would tell my servants never to admit her if I wasn't home.
Daisynjay: "beanie implosion time": what a great phrase!
I cannot believe Refugio. What a dolt!
Stupidity is running rampant again. Nothing more to say.
Jarifa
Refugio is truly a dunce.
Monica does not have a chance with Dim once Fina makes her majestic return to Bluewater.
I see Mony starting to lean toward JL.
Now I am off to review the twelve verb tenses.
"Any lack of sun and warmth is an oxygen mask not quite obscuring his perfect features, his golden head crowned by a helmet of electrodes", "It's three bitter coffees later" and "sulfur smell" were among my many favorites.
Like Judy, I will be humming "Get Back" quietly for the day's remainder.
One of the most distressing scenes to me was Refugio inhaling the fragrance of Monica's hair. We've often commented on Refugio's lack of little grey cells but honestly man, what are you doing? Your wonderful and LOYAL wife should be commanding every bit of your attention. I agree with you Demetrois and UA. Refugio is firmly planted in fantasy land. Let's hope the Lt's affections for Dimitrio become apparant quickly. And unfortunately, another casualty will occur when Monica's hopes are dashed as Fina cruises into town (which can't be soon enough for me).
Speaking of delusional. Next up - JL. I am so disappointed that he is going to pursue Monse when it is utterly hopeless. I also feel for Monse. She loved JL then lost him. She didn't want to love Ale initially but then when she did, she lost him. She does not want to be with JL, but it appears with his persuasion and that of everyone in her orbit, that will occur. Must death be the only thing that will deter him I speculate anxiously?
Daisy, I don't see a JL/Fab pairing. Ever. Not only does he see through her (and appears to recoil from her just as he does her mother) but he is now singularly focused on one person. Only.
So now Pedro knows the truth about Fab. Well this bit of wreckage is sure to wash ashore now. What a reveal that will be!
NovelaMaven, thank you for translating Ale's taped message. Your care and attention to providing all of the details is greatly appreciated!
Diana
Jarifa
In regard to Chayo and Chela, they're just nicknames, and obviously Rosario doesn't go by Chayo, so Gracie calling her that is just a way to act like she can't even be bothered to say her name. It's just like if you specifically go by William and someone insists on calling you Bill. They know that's not your name, they just don't care. So Rosario responds in kind.
I'm loathing Refugio right now. I kind of hope Esme dumps his ass and he has to beg her back. Esme is so great. She has such a kind heart and cares so much for her friends. This novela could use more friendship moments for Montserrat and she should pay Esme more visits.
JL is very, very bitter. I'm really not liking this story.
Thanks so much for the stupendous recap. Wednesday morning always finds me newly appreciating your tremendous writing talent. There was so much to enjoy and admire, but I think my favorite section of this recap would have to be this beautiful description-observation about Alejandro:
"We are in a modern hospital room where Alejandro lies perfectly still, surrounded by monitors, an oxygen mask not quite obscuring his perfect features, his golden head crowned by a helmet of electrodes. A nurse, clearly fond of her patient and not indifferent to his beauty, addresses him as Alejandro and cheerily undertakes his leg massages and exercises.
[Alejandro is not in a coma -- he is under a magical spell.]"
I had a long comment about J-L, too, which I've now typed out and lost twice, so I'm taking this as a sign to give up.
Thanks again, NovelaMaven. It's always such a pleasure to read your work.
So I'm guessing Ale won't be back in Agua Azul until Montse and JL are definitely back on. Otherwise where is the drama? Which means that Montse should be falling into his arms soon. Unless Ruilli is on an extended vaca.
I'm still hoping Monica and JL will come together. Maybe once Montse is back with Ale and Josefina steals back Dim. I hope she comes back soon. Seven years is a long time to take to learn to love yourself.
JL once again positioning his impetus for wooing Monse as him taking back what Ale stole from him, once again makes me feel like Ale is the person who’s important to him. Not Monse. Monse is just an object. Ale is the real focus of his intentions, it seems.
I cannot believe EZ actually killed the priest, he is a beast!! I am hoping that at the end of the story they discover that Benjamin got his riches from drugs and that the state confiscates all his property, including property now held by Fabs and Pedro.
Yola
I've been thinking about Amelia and Pedro. Why did she tell Pedro the secret about Fabiola's birth? Does she really trust him that much? Or do we think she had an ulterior motive? Was she trying to 'out' Graciela without actually mentioning her name?
The little kiss? the caress on the cheek? Has Amelia come to care for Pedro?
About JL --
It is so disturbing that he continues to think of Montserrat as chattel. He once owned her, Alejandro stole her, now he is planning to possess her again. Part of it, as Vivi says, is about besting Alejandro. But I think HAVING Montserrat has become the goal, in and of itself.
(Maybe at some point JL will realize that the only woman he ever loved was Angélica.)
Speaking of, is JL planning to do anything with his life? He's rich but I have a hard time believing that someone like him, who has always worked, is just going to sit around now. He should start a business or something.
It still bothers me that people in this novela don't do anything. Except for Montse having the bakery now, but hell if we'll ever see her actually working.
Those that think that Fina has a chance with Dimi compared to Monica need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Fina is a nice lady with a touch of class, but Monica is is in another league; she's just too much woman.
I remember that moon shot that Monica gave Dimi at JL's release party. That was a little too much junk in the trunk fro me but I see Dimi falling hard for her.
UA: Thanks for your recap. I’m selfishly glad the noir style means you have to include lots of dialogue.
It’s subjective, I know, but I don’t think Monica is all that attractive and I don’t see any chemistry with Demetrio.
Looking forward to Fina’s return. Hoping to see Vic, Nadia, and Little Vicki, too.
I’m actually curious to see Maria. Did she get help and will now be one of the Scoobies? Did she sink further into madness? Or did she just stay her creepy self?
Nanette
ITA with all who are lining up to slap Refugio upside the head. Although as soon as he figures out who she's interested (and why do I think this will be in some ridiculously overt way that will not only get him slapped by the hotty captain but also get him in trouble with Esme) I think he will get his own figurative slap.
One thing I don't get at ALL is why on earth JL would be paying off Graciela? Everyone knows she wants one thing and one thing only: ka-ching! And now he's loaded. She's gonna help him whether he wants it or not! Of course as the great Shel Silverstein said "Some kind of help is the kind of help that helpings all about, and some kind of help is the kind of help, we all can do without!"
I think it very likely that Montse falls back with JL simply because it seems to be the way of the TN. However, I wonder, who's going to be interrupted at the alter? Dim and Moni, or JL and Montse?
Thanks again for a great recap!
Becky
Quickly commenting to say I googled Chayo Chela during the show last night. Came across this website - http://m.brighthubeducation.com/learning-spanish/61499-spanish-and-mexican-cultural-nicknames/. I learned that the Mexican nickname for Jose is Pepe. I think I will call Jose Luis Pepe Lee Pew from now on since his plan to get Montserrat back stinks.
Caryn
I'm taking my place in line to slap Refugio silly. His one saving grace, two actually, has been his loyalty to and protectiveness of those he loves. But when Esme is vulnerable and needs him most, he's letting her down. I hope she kicks him to the curb.
Fabiola's seduction attempt was embarrassingly bad. I'm no expert, but maybe she should've gotten JL drunk first. I loved JL's flat-out no me interesa.
The 19-year-old living under her mom's thumb that JL sees in his eye > mind is now a mother, a widow, and runs her own business. I can't see her saying te amo to him ever again. My guess is the most Monse will offer will be friendship.
I know I'm alone here, but Amelia and Pedro look good together. Seeing them walk side by side last night was the first time Pedro hasn't made me cringe in this TN.
Can't wait to see a faceoff between "I'm all that" Monica and a confident Fina.
Caryn, Pepe le Pew is inspired! And thanks for the cool link.
"Can't wait to see a faceoff between "I'm all that" Monica and a confident Fina."
Bwahahaha! I'm looking forward to that one myself, Niecie!
Nanette, you pose some interesting questions about María: "Did she get help and will now be one of the Scoobies? Did she sink further into madness? Or did she just stay her creepy self?"
Demetrios, I agree with Anon 12:32 -- If the state seized all the Almonte property, I don't think it would break Alejandro's heart.
Susanlynn, yes! ""Thanks...but no thanks. Snap."
So funny. (If it were any woman other than Fabiola, you'd be cringing in embarrassment for her.)
Caryn, I love that! He's Pepe Le Pew and Monse is Penelope, which is the name given to the black cat Pepe is always chasing. It's also the name of Odysseus' wife.
Anon 11:06, good catch about JL saying he had only tasted love once (during his self-pity speech). An argument could be made that, in many ways, he has been an incredibly lucky SOB.
Carvivlie, I agree that Monica and JL would make a good match. They share a certain ruthlessness and obliviousness to what people around them are feeling.
Julia Rold -- reading signs into the vagaries of Blogger? Uh oh. :) And now we'll never know what you were going to say about JL! Dang!
Anon 9:41, as I said above, thanks for answering Emarie's question about the nicknames. And I agree that it would be nice to see Esme and Montse spending more time together as friends. It would be good for both women.
jarifa, I'm wondering about the murder charges too. Will those need to be resolved before Ale comes home? That's not going to be easy.
Diana, some very nice turns of phrase today, including:
"Not only does he see through her (and appears to recoil from her just as he does her mother) but he is now singularly focused on one person. Only.
...
"So now Pedro knows the truth about Fab. Well this bit of wreckage is sure to wash ashore now."
Urban, this was a nice observation:
"Interesting how the hacienda purchase price was dissipated in six months while Monserrat started a business and bought a house on the money the Navy returned to her."
Daisynjay:
"How come my cell phone starts acting up the minute my contract is almost up and Monse with a quick recharge can get a 7 year old cell to work. Beanie implosion time...but whatever."
hee hee. I wonder if the writers thought about the phone at all or just said, Hey, what the heck, who's gonna notice?
JudyB, I am so sorry for your computer woes but selfishly happy you were able to slip in your clever comments ("I can just imagine the über-intense look that poor dolt must have on his face.") in spite of your cyber stuggles.
Yeah, Emarie, the light bulb was an inspired touch. I decided to leave it out of the recap, but I'm glad you mentioned it. It was too good to leave alone. :)
La Paloma, as we both know, the only special vintage Fabiola cares about is a full-bodied Alvarez . As for the stuff she guzzles, it might as well be Thunderbird. :D
Am I the only one who thinks that Fabiola kind of made sense? I promise I wasn't drunk while watching. They're both bitter, they both think they deserve better than what they got (which is wrong, because Fabs doesn't deserve better anbd JL had the very best, which was Angelica).
I can totally see some hate sex in their future...
I found Montse looking at that video truly heart-breaking, it made me shed a tear.*
That nurse must be massaging Ale's chest, too, because when he wakes up from his come I bet his 6 pack will be intact.
I'm in agreement with everyone about Esmeralda. Refugio is a bastard!
I agree that Montse needs to think about romance again, but JL should not be the one. If for nothing else, then the fact that his obsession with her is getting very creepy. I agree with whoever said that this is becoming a game for him, one that he has to "win".
But would that make him happy? I don't think so, not with Alejandro's presence still so vivid in Montse's mind and with Laurito as a constant reminder.
Or maybe Maria will get a life and return with the original will so that Al can recover his inheritance.
I feel sorry for Adolfo whose weaknesses made him choose the easy way out, living on drug proceeds rather than making his own way as Fina suggested. Some can control their own life, others are controlled by the life they find themselves in.
Yola
Adolfo does not like his job at all, from what it seems,he is doing it to get revenge for Nadias death. The solitude of Nadia ,Maria and Fina has turned him into a ruthless killer, just what EZ and Pedro both wanted so they could wash their hands clean.
Pedro always made me cringe, the only scene i liked him at was the bathtub scene ,that was some hilarious stuff.I also liked it when Maria and Pedro had their "final" dinner! Overall SS is a very very good actor,he enjoys making us cringe in his villian roles.
Caryn..I kind of like Pepe LEE Pew. It makes me think of Jerry Lee Lewis.
Rebecca...Shel Silverstein....my girls lived his poems.
As for Malria, I think that she is too nasty to be redeemed, but in Amor Real, the housekeeper actually lived with and had sex with the galan, but she had a happy ending. I was not happy about that happy ending,
NovelaM--Truer reportaje was never written. Excellent turns of phrases and needed translations.
Refugio, puleeze, you are looking for nookie in all the wrong places. Go Home!! What happened to his incredible jealousy where Esme is concerned. Doesn't he believe that what is good for the gander is good for the goose? He'd better watch it.
Meanwhile, Esme's pregnant personality has done a 180 going from an astute, direct-acting business woman to a poor-me shrinking violet. WE know she knows better, the writers should, too. They could create a little tension without changing her. She did seem to be having a little fun out of her shopping trip with JL.
Can't wait to find out how Ale got to Argentina and with whom, though I can guess. He looks like a research specimen, but his legs look lovely.
So, Amelia didn't keep her promise. Hmmm. I suspect Gracie's monthly checks from JL are going to go to Pedro to keep the lid on her story. OTOH, if she does try to keep it quiet, she's out a whole lot of moola. She's on the horns of a dilemma--her reputation as a socially acceptable (though outcast) matron vs. MONEY.
I almost get angry seeing JL moon over that picture of Angie. Or when he makes it sound to others like "well, she was great, but I didn't love her" like she was some sort of booby prize cause Ale came in first. Just NO! And if he starts with the overpowering jealousy like Ale had, I don't want Monse within 100 yards of him. But of course, that won't happen. I think she'll know that it's not the same, JL isn't her true love, but she's going to get back with him because she feels she owes him, badgering by family and thinking what she had before might come back again. He better damn well be good to that little boy, that at least I think he can do.
Oh, Niecie, may the writers be with you. They can park the JL/Monse/Ale triangle for me for days so we can just savor a MocaFina showdown! (Lord that sounds like a Starbucks offering.) Maybe we'll see Monica's true colors if she feels her rival is going to mess up her plans. Still wonder where that leaves Refugio? No spoiler, but I could see those two hooking up because she sees Dim all into the new and improved Fina and Refugio, well, just being a dumbass who doesn't deserve his wife.
Daisynjay
"Well, Oxnard Huero, I guess we know who you'll be asking to the prom"
Si, Monica sin duda. Cual es su numero?
Fina puede servir como chofer.
And speaking of jerks, Refugio. And ITA w/the person who said the writers are completely changing Esme's personality in annoying ways. Basta.
Having said that, I find myself still frequently getting sucker-punched by the emotional impact of a well-written scene that is well-played and hits me/us where it hurts. Ah, the power of telenovelas.
Adriana, I think you're right that Fabiola and JL have a lot in common. But it may be just because she is so much like him -- she reflects a truth about himself that he doesn't want to acknowledge -- that he finds her repugnant. (Or maybe it's just because she is, well, repugnant.)
I also agree that even if JL managed to "win" Montse back, he would make himself miserable by always questioning how he compared to the ghost of Alejandro.
Anita, I had to read your second sentence a couple of times before I caught on. (I had it in my head that Ding-Dong Dell was a cat cum literary critic, like EJ's Manu.
As for Graciela -- WHAT reputation?
Daisynjay, you got me giggling with this:
"Oh, Niecie, may the writers be with you. They can park the JL/Monse/Ale triangle for me for days so we can just savor a MocaFina showdown! (Lord that sounds like a Starbucks offering.)"
But it seems to me that Monica has shown her true colors several times. That's why she's so popular here. (Don't let OH read this part, ok?)
Karen, About the jerks -- total agreement. About Esme -- a little less. Pregnancy does strange and wonderful things to a person. Tears and self-doubt in an otherwise bright and confident woman don't seem like all that much of a stretch to me. But who knows? I'll have to pay closer attention.
I would like to see Mony be a little more proactive in the sweet shoppe. I would enjoy seeing her I wearing a tiny, frilly 50s style apron and putting sprinkles on the cupcakes.
And to go along with the Sleeping Prince: "Monterrat connects the phone to her charger...
Forget seven-year-old phones and chargers. It's a fairytale!" was great. I guess technology comes late into Aguazul, iphone's that work after 7 years and a Tundra that does not get updated.
Although we all guessed the triangle would be back, I'm not enthusiastic about it at all. I agree with the person that said that Montse should be able to move on after 7 years, just not with JL. She may feel guilty for the time she spent in jail for Ale feel she needs to reciprocate his affections because of that.
Daisynjay, I'm with you on wanting to see that "MocaFina showdown!" and I'm right behind whoever is the last person in line to slap some sense into Refugio!
Maricruz
Thank you so much for the excellent recap. Great as always.
I could not believe Refu last night. What is his problem. He seemed to like the fact that Monica supposedly is falling for him. Que!? Then the sniffing of the hair. If he has fallen for Monica and no longer loves Esme, then he needs to be honest with both women, and himself. NEXT!
ITA with those who think that JL is thinking of Montse as a prize. He hasn't even once mentioned Laurito. He can't forget that Montse is a mother now. Not to mention that he is Laurito's Godfather. JL is seeming kind of selfish, and I don't like seeing this side of him. I don't hate the guy, but I think Angie was right, JL and Montse would not be happy together in the long run. I do see Montse getting back with JL, but as someone already mentioned, she is going to do it out of guilt and family pressure. She already feels horrible for thinking badly if JL. My guess, no spoiler here, is Montse will accept JL back in her life just as Ale is making a recovery. The problem here is that Ale thinks Montse is dead. Maybe he'll find out the truth when he comes looking for his son and mother. Out of time. Thanks again NovelaMaven!
Back to work...hasta pronto!
(okay, okay, I'm not holding my breath either).
AuntyAnn, thank you for reminding us that Ale probably thinks Montserrat is dead. That will keep us spinning our wheels for a few dozen episodes, huh?
Nanette and Susanlynn, I see we are on the same wave length about pregnancy hormones. (For some reason, I just noticed that HORMONE is a perfect anagram for HE MORON. Hmmm.)
And Vivi, speaking of HE MORON --
"Refugio is suffering from the 7 year itch." Ha!
What a brilliant recap.
I could quote so many lines that have already been mentioned but I want to emphasize this one:
"Alejandro is not in a coma -- he is under a magical spell."
Wow. Thinking about our little prince in a Jungian way, that comment is profound.
Of course Alejandro is under Don Benjamin spell. He is Alejandro's fraught bad fairy-god-father, a demon with dark and perverse thoughts and deeds who punctuated his behavior with rare and confounding acts of humanity; such as recognizing Ale as his son and heir at the last minute, and paying for Fabiola's care.
Who can release Sleeping Male Beauty from his long sleep?
Why, Montserrat, of course, just as she is about to move on with her life.
Thanks so much, NM, for translating all of the dialog for us. There were some important plot points clarified last night.
I have one final question before I must go and engage in the Great Downsizing Project and Move to Shady Acres. (Shady Acres is my son's joke name for downsizing into a smaller so that we can age (die) in place. We are not actually moving to a 55+ community. In fact, we do not have final confirmation of where we will move. Still keeping ourfingers and toes crossed.
It looks like we will have to move the last week of May. Ay yi yi, Patio. Please forgive my rare personal appearances for a month or so and keep sending those good vibes my way. All prayers and kind thoughts are kindly appreciated.
OK, back to the important stuff——Why does Monica have only two friends in Aguazul, both of them men, after seven years in town? Surely she might have gotten off the base once in a while and made a couple of non-military friends.
I have lived in other countries and eventually one does make friends with local folks.
Que que? Do we still suspect her of being a bad guy?
Thanks again, Maven, for a great recap. Best to All,
Elna June
Damas, Monica has no interest in Refugio. None!
She tipped her hand (so to speak) when she showed Dimwattage her ample derriere at JL's "coming out" party.
Refoolio anda confundido, as is his wont.
And like I keep saying, Fina does not have a chance in Hades to compete with Monica, no matter how confident or made over she is after 7 years.
Please let me know when you are settled in at Shady Acres so I can send you a bag of fresh cheese curds and a sure-fire recipe for deep-frying them.
For now, I'm tickled that you snuck away from the misery of the move to hang out on The Patio, even if only briefly. I do love the Jungian expansion of the spell under which our prince lies sleeping.
Thank you, dear friend.
Sorry to be arriving late. Actually I just finished watching this episode a short while ago.
I've never been much of a JL fan and last night he seemed particularly dark and sinister. His obsession with Montserrat is creepy and frightening. I can see him wanting to renew his relationship with her, but it's been at least seven years since he's even seen her. To be already murmuring to himself as well as others about his plan to recover what was rightfully his, but stolen away, and to reconquer her is certainly premature if not just a little sick. Why not get to know her again, ask her on a date, meet his godson, show her his new tattoos... before making a deal to purchase her (save it... I saw the show and read the recap... tell it to Montse when she sees the check) from Graciela?
OK, I'm starting to fall for Fabs... maybe she reminds me of some of the tipsy girls I used to hang out with when I was younger. That carefree devil-may-care hairstyle is especially attractive. Sorry, I think Monica is very beautiful... but no...
As for Alejandro's head-monitor electrodes (light display?)... I've never seen such as that. Strange.
Carlos
Carlos
"Why not get to know her again, ask her on a date, meet his godson, show her his new tattoos... "
As for Fabiola, I'm rather glad you're in her corner. She's going to be facing some hard times very soon and she'll be needing a friend. Why not the Patron Saint of Lost Women and Miscellaneous Bad Girls?
Dear OH,
Oh yes, it's clear that Monica isn't interested in Refugio. And Refugio's fantasies would be strictly his own business -- if they weren't affecting the way he treats the woman who loves him.
Monica isn't a local girl and it sounds like there aren't a lot of other females at that base. That makes her Odd Girl Out. Shame, too, because other women can learn from her self-confidence.
"Shame, too, because other women can learn from her self-confidence."
Sorry, but in that scene the other day when she was talking with Esme and suggesting that Esme get off her fat pregnant butt and get more exercise, it didn't sound to me that she was trying to instill self-confidence or make friends.
Carlos
Way to go Caryn! Pepe le Pew! "My little chickadee, she play hard to get, no?" Yes, JL fits the part.
SusanLynn-so funny your comment about Amor Real, "the housekeeper actually lived with and had sex with the galan, but she had a happy ending. I was not happy about that happy ending..."
Oxnard Huero-it's refreshing having a guy's opinion, but I though Monica had too much cargo in the caboose for you, or did I misunderstand?
Carlos-I'm sure those lights on Ale's head are a TN original. I'm dying to see a scene where very slowly a light or two starts flickering-showing he's coming out of his coma.
Now if you put that contraption on Refugio's head the lights won't be coming on at all I predict.
Maricruz
"Oxnard Huero-it's refreshing having a guy's opinion, but I though Monica had too much cargo in the caboose for you, or did I misunderstand?"
Let me make myself clear, Monica is drop-dead gorgeous. I don't like culos that big but I could and would work around it!
Fina is Fina. Maybe Dimmy will choose her ultimately; we will have to see.
