De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #60 and #61 5/21/14

De que están incluso, son aún

Quick notes though these are episodes 60 and 61 based on titles and Uni's edits it looks like we saw episodes 61, 62, and 63.  I continue to hate Uni!!

Rod and Irma discuss his options for faking out his impending tests.  She says to induce a coma, I say YES!  Rod doesn’t look to happy.

Diego chats with the Doc and inadvertently get Irma in trouble (she should not have asked him about the tests).  Rod seems to be an anomaly b/c of the weight gain and return of color.  They go to see Rod and he says nasty things under silently (Diego – give me a sign you are alive; Rod – if I punch you will you never touch me again).  Still pulling for the coma and his not returning though I know that’s pretty much a fantasy like me seeing El getting any action any time soon.

Irma is at the library studying up on inducing a coma.

Family discussion about Rod’s condition and the possible tests.  Grumps thinks Irma is right, no tests.  Irene and Diego think the tests should be run.  Grumps gives in.
Carmen and Nat chat.  I guess our good Padre has come by to talk to Lupita (things we missed?) and calm Carmen down.  Nat left the house in the am mad as well.  Nat says she’s calmer because she talked to Irene.  Since our poor Nat is not always good at reading people, she proceeds to tell her mom that Irene told Nat she should trust her mom.  Yes, she said that  and you can just imagine how that went over.  Carmen has a fit, a rather calm one for her.  She stalks off to bed.

Our favorite brothers, Abdul and Paolo, go to El’s to beg him to stop the wedding.  Unfortunately skank Kimberly is visiting and wants to know why they are bugging El about this.  I thought Kim got dumped after the non-wedding.  Oh El, you can’t go crying to Alonso about losing the love of your life when you don’t tell her and you keep going back to skankzilla.  El puts on an act about not intervening and tells Kim he will talk about who he wants (Carmen) when he wants and she needs to take her jealous fits else where.  She gives in.

Irma and Rod argue over the inducing the coma.  Vicente visits the hospital and just before she opens the door, she sticks Rod with the drugs for his new coma.  The next morning its tests for Rod.

El meets with the boys to plan the next bodas interrupts.  They want to kidnap Carmen.  They’ll give her a sleeping pill and put her in El’s car.  He’ll do the rest.  Ok if this plan works, El better confess his undying love.  He tells them they are crazy and have watched too many movies.  He won’t help them.

Oh, no.  Carmen has gone to the office to talk to Irene.  Unfortunately Carmen wont’ shake Irene’s hand and accuses Irene of trying to steal her daughters’ affections.  It goes downhill from there.  In Carmen’s rant, she tells Irene she wouldn’t know what it is to lose her children’s affections because she doesn’t have any children and Irene snaps at this point.  I said it got ugly didn’t I.  Irene tells Carmen she knows nothing about Irene or her child.  Carmen tries to apologize but its too late.  Carmen leaves in tears and then Irene starts to cry.

Rod’s brain waves show no change.  The blood test will show Irma induced him so I guess she’ll be trying to tamper with the results.

Carmen runs into Nat and tells her about the foolishness that just happened.  Nat is disappointed her mother talked gibberish but she does learn Irene lost a baby girl.  Carmen leaves and Diego arrives so he and Nat go to talk.

Irene has a flashback to her time of isolation when her father puts her away.  She is depressed, won’t eat, and then runs away during labor.  She has the child, hears her cries, and then wakes up to be told her child died.  I hope she doesn’t relapse.  Her first thought is a drink, then she thinks about what Carmen said.  She then tries to call Alonso and he’s not answering his phone or at his office.  I hope she goes to Tad as we don’t want a relapse :(

Nat and Diego talk about Carmen’s unfortunate visit and Irene’s daughter.  Diego never heard about the baby.  Of course, Nat has sympathy for all the pain Irene must have gone through and is going through but, in true tn style, they decide not to talk to her about the baby.  Diego gets a call about Rod and continues to hid this info from Nat.  As our Vivi noted, the writers are really pushing this non-reveal to the point of disbelief.

Irma snatches Rod’s blood sample and replaces it with her own.  Now I’m not doctor but the test they are doing won’t notice XX instead of XY in the patient’s blood.  Even with a label on the new vial of blood, writers, my beanie has exploded.

Thankfully Nat arrives just as Irene is about to pour a drink (yeah another day sober!).  She tells Irene she loves her and not to drink.  Irene cries, I cry, and large tears rolls down Nat’s face.

Diego tells Grumps the doctors found no change in Rod.  He then asks about Irene’s daughter.  Grumps pitches a fit and says Diego wasn’t told because they were too young and there is no point bring up the past (another Vicente anvil alert).

Diego moves from being inappropriate with Nat to lying to her about the family issue (he said it was land issues) and his recent problem with Alberto.  Yeah here’s Diego anvil alert which puts poor naive Nat is all types of danger.

El ponders Carmen and the kidnapping plot while I am able to observe him as an actor and enjoy his guaponess.

The other nurse, Lolita,  starts getting horny with Rod.  She even kisses him and he kisses her back thinking it’s Irma.  Rod wakes up later (boo, hiss) and he thanks Irma for her kiss.  She tells him she didn’t kiss him and he realizes it was Lolita.

Irene tells Alonso about her bad day and her almost drink.  She tells him if Nat hadn’t showed up she would have drank.  He asks if she considering having children again and she said she has spent all this time thinking about her lost daughter.  She hasn’t even considered possibility of other kids.

Carmen and Irene make up.  Carmen learns Chato ordered a wedding dress from Irene, based on the completely tacky person Chato is I’m thinking Nat had to suggest that to him b/c he couldn’t think of that on his own.

Diego tells Grumps about all the clothing sales and the latter actually gets excited b/c it exceeded his expectations.  Let’s be honest though, he thought they would fail so the bar wasn’t that high.  He suggests that since they are a textile company they can supply their own fabrics.  He even suggests getting a new plant to create the textiles.

Carmen sees her new dress and the Brat is in this scene.  Irene, Nat and Carmen enjoy the dress and I think the Brat might like it too but she thinks the choice of groom is tragic.

Carmen gives herself a pep talk after putting up her wedding dress.  In the living/family room, it looks and feels like a wake not the day before a wedding, pobrecitos.  She asks her children not have those faces tomorrow but we all know that is too much to ask.  There’s a knock at the door, we could assume its Chato but is not (thankfully).  It’s one of his women, Eleodora Martinez, and her equally surly son, Emeterio, and she’s mighty ticked Chato is going to marry Carmen.

El’s new plan to derail the wedding was to have Lupita call  Eme (and others) and he let his mother know about Chato’s wedding.  Nat know Abdul and Paolo played a role in this but they tell their sisters they found their guests on the internet.  Another mother with two daughters shows up.  Lupita is an evil genius!! (courtesy of Kat and Sara) She hugs her other new step mom, Benita Gordillo, and sends her to Carmen’s room, and greets her new sisters, Georgina and Lucia, and introduces them to Eme.  This is truly fun and our little master mind is a hot mess.  Ok it gets a bit dicey for Carmen when Benita says she’ll fight for her daughters as Chato has not given her any money and Eleodora let’s them know she gotten nothing as well.  They don’t understand how Carmen has gotten an apartment out of Chato.

A third woman, Justina, enters the Garcias and tries to slug Nat, who ducks, because Justina thinks Nat is Carmen.    Her son, Luisito,  arrives and tells them all to excuse his mother’s aggressiveness but she is not on her meds because Chato hasn’t sent money.  Justina starts trying to strangle Benita because she thinks she’s Carmen.  Carmen attempts to get them to use their words not fists.

Chato is checking out the place where the wedding will be.  We know Carmen has picked the place because its nice.  Chato and his workers do a cute line dance to “In the Mood.”  He then dreams about dancing a tango with Carmen.

El holds the old movie ticket and flashing back to the movie he and Carmen saw when they were youngsters.  He actually gets scared and grabs her and puts his head on her shoulder.  She smiles and pats his head.  Cute scene!  Lupita then checks in with him and hopes this latest ploy works.

The women de Chato actually do talk to one another and realize all their children are seven except Lucia, who is 11 months younger than her older sister, Georgina.  The older Garcia siblings send Lupita give her new siblings cereal and Nat laments if Lupita is like this at seven what will happen when she grows up.  This is why Carmen should listen to her and choose El as a father.  The Brat hopes this will make Carmen open her eyes.

Chato calls and Carmen puts him on speaker so his other wives can hear his lies.  The Brat wants to check on them but Abdul stops her.  She yells at Luisito, one of Lupita’s brother, to stop staring at her.  He says he thinks he knows the Brat and realizes he knows her from her fall at the modeling show that’s on the internet.  The women all leave and are sweetness and light.  It seems the wedding is still on and Carmen drags Lupita off to her room for a talk.

Irene tells Alonso she’s going to Carmen’s wedding and will get him an invitation.  She doesn’t want to have to dance with Chato (ha!)  The wedding is still on and Carmen’s kids are very angry.  The Brat says she needs to go to work and Carmen threatens to go medieval on her if she doesn’t attend her wedding.

El gets a text from Abdul that the plan didn’t work and a call from his mom.  He tells her he can’t take her to the wedding and Luz says all the wrong things like you two are like siblings.

Irma gets clothes for Rod, who plan to go to Caprico.  Tad tries to paint but is seized with a headache.  He has blurry vision, nooooo! Rod arrives at work.  The guard questions why he is there and he tells him its none of his business.  He steals money from Grumps (but it could be Diego).

Luz stops by Carmen’s to give her a bracelet and tells her that El’s not coming.  The Brat is at work (and she’ll hook up with Rod and later claim rape, a horrible guess of coming events) and gets a call from Alberto.  She runs into Rod and wants to talk to him and of course she thinks he’s Diego.  She confesses everything she’s done which just gets Rod horny.  She tells her he may forgive her if she apologizes the right way and proceeds to put her tongue down her throat.  My eyes, my eyes, they have sex and he tells her to act like nothing happened, don’t come onto him b/c he’ll make the move.

It does seem Carmen is up to something but she’s holding her cards close.  She tells them that though its seems

Rod returns to the hospital and gives Irma money.  She rejects the money at first and tries to get fresh but he’s not in the mood.  After her rejection, she takes the money.  He claims the Brat wore him out but she’s just an appetizer for Nat (I scream!)

Another scene with Tad and blurry vision.

Nat, Diego and Luptia arrive at the wedding.  Chato asks Diego to say some words about him, like a best man speech.  Diego suggests Abdul but Chato wanted Diego because he’s more cultured.  As he laughs about Abdul giving the speech Lupita kicks him.

Alonso thanks Nat for inviting him and gets introduced to Lupita, who thought he was one of Chato’s drivers.  Chato talk a lot of smack to his lackeys and laughs it off when Padre threatens to harm him if he doesn’t treat Carmen right.  Poor, dumb Alberto picks up a glowing Brat from work and Luz watching Chato hit on Irene.  She pinches him for it.  Chato’s boys are dress like they are part of a marching band.  The Justice of the Peace lets Chato know things need to get underway.  Chato calls Carmen but gets no answer.

The Brat arrives at the wedding and tries to hit on the real Diego.  He looks away from her and she realizes she needs to be discrete.  Chato is waiting outside for the limo but its doesn’t arrive.  The Justice of the Peace says he can only give him 20 more minutes.

Alonso and Irene flirt while waiting.  Padre tries to tell Lupita, she shouldn’t be so down, that the wedding is a good thing.  She asks what is good.  Abdul lights up when Angela shows up.  Chato goes to the Garcias but Carmen is not there.  As Chato and Andres drive back to the wedding, they act crazy.  Carmen is still is a no show and Nat is worried.  The limo finally arrives and all of Chato’s children pile out of the car and hug him.  Then his wives and hand him a pic of Carmen alone at the altar.  They say, Carmen’s says you are even now.  Priceless!!

Poor, distraught El is in his office asking why Carmen why, when she arrives, looking great I might add, and asks him why what.  He’s shocked and I expect his profession and more than kisses the next episode.

Previews
The writers look like they are going to have Diego get in an accident while crazy Rod roams free.  Poor Nat!!  We better get Carmen and El together for realz to make up for Nat’s nightmare.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! My DVR cut off before I could see the very end! Priceless! I can't wait to see it in the refrito tomorrow!

Karen, your hands must be exhausted after all this! That was just a whirlwind of activity.

El had better make good with the smoochies and declarations or I swear I'll reach through the TV and kick him in the shins!

Yes, Rod + Brigitte post-nookie...there is not enough brain bleach in the world for that!

Agree about the blood tests. I'm wondering...will Rod be the next Chato? Has Irma been cuidandose? What about Brigitte? I know Rod's not carrying condoms around! *shudder*

Gracias again, Karen!

Thanks Karen for this very clear retelling of this awful and awful funny episode. They seemed to balance the nasty Brat/Rod yecchh with the very joyful comeupance of Chato. I am glad the kids all got along, that was a relief. And we may get to see El and Carmen in a moment of love which would make tomorrow worth watching but I am not looking forward to the twin switch.

I just figured out that Diego the duffus has never mentioned to the woman he plans to marry that he has an evil twin. The writing is right on the edge of stupid, isn't it. Bring on the brain bleach as 5ft. mentioned. If we add orange juice is it like a cocktail?

Rod and Brigette together reminds me of when Rog. and Venomica from PEAM got together.

Thank you so much, Karen. Like Kat, my DVR cut off before I could see the end. (So add that to my list of grievances: 2 hours of edited episodes that run over the time slot. Uni is doing everything in its power to ruin this for me.)

Did anyone think the close up of Irma's arm looked gross and possibly manly? I thought of JudyB during that scene. It wasn't over the top gross, but they really didn't have to show the whole process. I'm also wondering if Irma is pregnant...though I suppose that is not a standard test they run for male blood.

Rod is on the loose and he and Brat know each other (in many ways.) This is going to get very very ugly.

Yes, Sara, JudyB was totally grossed out by that close-up of the blood draw. I always keep my eyes shut when I have blood drawn, believe me!

Thanks so much for the recap, Karen. You really had a lot to cover. I'm horrified by the turn this is taking with Rapist Rodrigo roaming free and Dutiful Diego bound for an accident.

But enjoyed the lineup of Chato's outraged women, the cozy cereal and milk snack with the kids and Lupita as hostess, the wedding dance Chato rehearsed with his burly cab drivers and the emotional scene between Irma and Natalia. Their hug was sustained and so moving. I hope "la llamada de la sangre" gets a little more vocal soon!

Your recap was great. Two hours is always difficult and when three or more episodes are crammed into one long show, even more challenging! Thanks.

It's safe to say that Uni will edit 3 episodes to become 2 in one night.

Mon: MX eps 56-58
Tue: 59-61
Wed: 62-64

Thanks JoseAngel. The worst is what they are choosing to edit. We've mentioned here that almost everything turns out to be important. Almost everything is done for a reason. Based on what I saw last night, they cut a scene were Nat talks to Irene about her mom, a scene where Irene decides to make Carmen's dress and a scene where Papá Juancho had a serious talk with Chato. Yet we saw the dance rehearsal. It was cute as all get out and I loved it, but if you are going to edit cut that stuff out.

Karen, what an action packed episode! Exceptional job recanting all of the juicy details, sprinkling your marvelous wit and wisdom throughout. Sublime.

So many wonderful lines including "I know that’s pretty much a fantasy like me seeing El getting any action any time soon" and "She tells Irene she loves her and not to drink. Irene cries, I cry, and large tears rolls down Nat’s face". I laughed at "My eyes, my eyes". Oh dear.

I missed the first half, tuning in to see Brig and Diego. After an initial panic, (with my head sspinning like Linda Blair's in the Exorcist), it only took one smarmy smile to realize it was Rod and then the world returned to "normal". Whew!

I missed so much! Although, I am secretly relieved to have missed the Irene/Carmen discussion. How terrible.

Carmen's plan was genius. We realized she would not go through with it and she did fine justice with her surprise (to Chato) ending. Shall we dare to hope he will now fade away???

The brat. "Poor, dumb Alberto picks up a glowing Brat from work". Unforgiveable. Not only to betray her sister but Al, who is hawt, hawt, hawt and a wonderful person to boot! As you said Sara, this is indeed gonna get ugly.

So happy for Irene's continuing sobriety.

Cheryl, yes, Rod's existence is a big secret that is unfathomable, isn't it??

So sorry Uni is editing this and it seems that this is now unfortuantely par for the course. We like a show and the editing scissors come out. Sigh.

Karen, thank you! This was fantastic.

Diana

Looking at this it seems possible "Rod's" blood is going to look a little low on a few things. At the very least, if they're being remotely realistic, (which, yeah, right) someone should notice low levels and either give a plausible explanation or ask for a re-test.

Excellent recap, Karen! There was so much to cover and you did so beautifully. (Thanks as well for taking tonight.)

I only saw parts of this epi, so I am looking forward to catching up this weekend to watch all the pre-wedding shenanigans. Good job, Carmen! Just wish she had let the kids in on the secret, then they wouldn't have been so traumatized. But, then again, they also wouldn't have been pushed to contact all of Chato's baby-mamas. That was brilliant!

I saw the apology scene between Carmen and Irene. I hope now Carmen can put the jealousy to rest, although it will probably reemerge when the truth about Irene's and Nat's connection comes out.

I am just sick about the turn the Rod story is taking, both with the Brat and with Diego possibly ending up in a coma. Then Rod would be on the loose full-time to pretend to be Diego! OMG!

Tks Karen, 2 hrs is tough duty.

So much for me thinking Brat was an innocent.

I really laughed about all Chato's women & kids, good girl Lupita, the kid is brilliant. Funny scene.
Also piling out of the limo was funny.

And Chato's pink wedding suit!!!! He does have the dance moves though.

That really did look like a man's arm when Irma was drawing blood.

I'm very worried about Rod on the loose. He and Grumps together could also mean trouble. Whether he's pretending to be Diego or Grumps knows who he really is, they could decide to dump Irene's clothing line.

So is Tad going to go blind but survive the tumor or will the tumor kill him?

I forgot to thank Kat for that link. I'm interested to see if they try to be a little realistic with the blood sample or if it will just be taken as if it's Rod's.

Thanks for your kind words amigas/os. It is disappointing Uni is hacking yet another tn and as Sara noted, this tn does not waste stories so the edits mean something. And yes as of Tuesday, the tn started to run over its 2 hours.

Kat, Yes El better follow through and brain bleach for Rod and the Brat. And thanks for the info on blood test, I knew that was a stretch.

Cheryl, so happy you dropped by and are watching this with us. Chato's comeuppance was fun and Lupita was a great host to her new siblings. Diego not telling Nat about Rod or what Sara has dubbed "The Great Misunderstanding" has been something we have all complained about for a while now. And addition to not telling Nat this he also didn't tell her about the Brat coming on to him and her telling Alberto he tried to attack her. Big anvils ahead there on both fronts.

Corazon, yes Rod + Brat is basically the same as Rog + Veronica on PEAM until Rog got redeemed.

Sara, I thought the close up on Irma's arm looked faked and that's why it looked so mannish. Not looking forward to Rod terrorizing Nat.

Judy, one of the few things to look forward to is Irene and Nat learning their true relationship and their hug was very moving.

JoseAngel, thanks for the info about the episodes and edits. I really want to do something about this continued abuse of viewers but still sustain our bloggers.

Diana, sorry you thought it was actually Diego with the Brat. But with the potential future events, things look mighty grim for poor Nat.

Vivi, I believe you were the one who called that Carmen was going to leave Chato at the altar so good call amiga! The addition of his women and their kids was the perfect touch.

Variopinta, like you I thought the Brat was all talk and no action, guess we were wrong.

Sara, I hope Tad is able to fully recover but needs blood for some reason.

Me too, Karen. I know Irene will find out who her daughter is, but I worry that Tad will never find out who his daughter is. Or will find out on his death bed.

That would just be so sad if Tad found out about Nat on his deathbed. :(

Karen/Sara/Vivi:

Tad cannot pass without knowing Nat is his daughter! Too cruel for her (not to mention us!).

Karen, am also hoping that Tad will need a transfusion and will have a rare blood type and that Nat will be a match. Unless Grumps spills the beans which seems highly unlikely.

Diana

Diana, I'm with you, Sara, and Vivi and Tad MUST find out Nat is his daughter and recover. A medical crisis seems to be the best and possibly only way for that info to come out as Grumps will definitely NOT tell.

I'm just wondering how big Grumps' anvil will be between being so horrible to Irene and lying about the company.

More disgusting is the fact that all of Chato's (known) children are 7 years old except Lucia.

If you've got 4 kids by 4 different women that are all the same age you've got a problem. Good that lil Chato isn't working. Lil Chato needs to be put out of commission.

Yes Anon207 all of Chato's children being the same age was really gross. And with all of those kids, he really doesn't need little Chato working at all.

I loved the scene with the four ladies figuring it out, too. Cynthia Klitbo was funny trying to surreptitiously compare herself to them.

So, if one of the children is younger than the 7 year olds, doesn't that mean that little Chato actually works? And how does he know Carmen is the only one it will work with, if he was with all those other women during the exact same time period?

I don't think lil Chato works NOW which is why he wants to sleep with Carmen again.

How many siblings does Lupita have?

She has:

Abdul
Natalia
Brigitte
Paolo

by Carmen (4)

Then she has Emeterio, Georgina, Lucia & Luisito. That's another 4.

Lupita has 8 siblings (that we know of), 3 of whom are the same age as she. Nope, lil Chato needs to be put out of commission.

I also meant to mention that the last shot of Carmen last night as she was in El's doorway was amazing. Cynthia Klitbo was glowing and looked absolutely beautiful!

Diana

I really hope that's in the refrito.

You're right Diana...Cynthia Klitbo, alias Carmen, was absolutely breathtaking in that final shot, wearing Irena's sexy black dress. If Eleazar doesn't jump up and take her in his arms and claim her, then he's made of stone! C'monnnnnnn El!

Thanks to the recappers. I am teaching two concentrated summer classes, so I have been tired at night , and I haven't had much time to comment.

I was surprised that Diana was killed off so quickly. Now, creepy Rod has taken her place as the person whose sole purpose is to make life difficult and dangerous for everyone else. The actor is doing a good job of playing the evil twin. bwa.ha.ha.

Susanlynn so nice to see you. I have done concentrated summer classes and understand your being tired.

Diana and Judy, yes Cynthia looked fabulous in that last scene. I have guardedly high hopes tonight episode.

So I have missed a lot being in and out of the country. Can anyone tell me does Natalia know she is adopted? Are any of the other big kids adopted or are they all at least her children. I think Guadalupe is the most fabulous child actor I have ever seen. She was magical last night with her facial expressions to register her feelings instead of screeching or whining. This girl is a genius.

By HER, I of course meant Carmen.

Cheryl Nat has been told from the beginning that Carmen found her in a nativity scene as the baby Jesus. Nat is really Irene's daughter but Irene was told her daughter died which lead to her alcoholism. The servant who did the deed (taking Nat to the church and then lying on Grumps orders), feela guilty and wants to tell but Grumps keeps forbidding him to do so.

All the other kids are Carmen's and various men. The Brat (Brigette) hates Nat because she believes Nat stole life from her.
