Lo Que La Vida Me Robo, capitulo 125. 05/06/14.
Huckalious Ale is slowly crawling out of bed. He falls gracefully to the floor, pulls himself up and decided to do squats on the side of the bed. Nothing like being in a coma for 7 years and suddenly decide to work out.
Vic is outside the room and asks the nurse where he can get a cup of joe. The nurse drops her tray of meds and Ale takes the opportunity to make his escape. He stumbles to the elevator unnoticed. He bypasses Vic who is trying to figure out out how to get a cup of joe out of the vending machine. He runs out of the hospital confused at his surroundings.
Vic returns to the room to find Ale gone.
Ale is wandering around lost in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. Damn, he looks good in those jeans. Luckily Vic eventually finds him. Vic is happy to see Ale awake. Ale wonders how Nadia is faring. He finds out about Victoria. He also wants to see Montse. She was shot at yesterday but learns that she has past away. He will not accept it and wants to see her. He also finds out they are in Buenos Aires and many years has past.
Little Laurito is drawing a picture for JL. Montse takes the opportunity to talk to him about his feelings regarding JL. Do you enjoy having him around? Of course replies Little Laurito especially since it brings happiness in your eyes. She says that JL wants to marry her which excites little Laurito. Please say yes he begs. If you marry him JL will be my father. If he marries me he will be replies Montse. Little Laurito jumps up and down on his bed in excitement.
Vic explains the airplane accident and how he did everything he could to have his life. They spent all the money to take care of him and make sure the police didn't suspect they were still alive. My daughter was born here. A few days after the accident Nadia started losing her sight and now she is completely blind. She will be so happy to know that you are okay now. We did everything we could to save your life. Ale says he has to leave. Years has past for him but for him it just seems a day. He can't believe he has lost her. She can't be dead. I can still feel the last kiss we gave each other. How can so much time have past? How could I have lost the love of my life? And my son? My mother? I must return. Vic tells him he must return first to the hospital in case of a relapse. Josefina has gone to bring them.
Lt. Monica had decided to pay our dear Dim a visit. She says she was waiting for him to come and get his car keys from her. Since he was taken his sweet time she decided to bring it to him. He tries to apologize for leaving the way he did but she says that she already talked to his son. Dim clarifies that it was his nephew. He tries apologizing again but she doesn't want to hear it. If they got this far is because she allowed it. She had fun but that is all it was. So as for me, I will act like nothing happened. I ask for absolute discretion. He agrees but he looks chest fallen and she's heartbroken.
Ale's back in bed when Victoria and Nadia pay him a visit. Cute banter between Victoria and Ale. She says a kiss from a princess woke up the sleeping prince. Anyway she leaves and Ale asks Nadia if she has heard from Josefina yet. Nadia thinks she must be arriving to Mexico any minute. Ale wonders if his son is alive and well. What if my mother is dead and Laurito is all alone in this world? What if he is an orphan? I woke up to find my world upside down. He fell asleep all these years without his parents.
JL says he has something important to talk to Laurito about but Laurito says he already knows. He is going to marry his mom and he is super happy about it. JL says he loves them greatly and wants to take care of them. Laurito says he cares for him too. JL says that Laurito doesn't have to call him dad but Laurito wants too. He will have 2 dads. Ale who is in heaven and JL who takes care of him here and plays with him. Rosario during this whole exchange is listening. Laurito asks if it's okay if he calls him dad. Of course replies JL. Laurito runs to Rosario happy that JL wants to be his dad.
Dim spills the frijoles to Refugio about his night with Monica. He admits he felt something and now believes she will make things difficult. No, I will if you hurt her replies Refugio. Dim thinks he should give it a shot with her and runs out the room.
Dim lays his feelings on the table to Monica but she says he snores to much. Later on he brings her home to dinner to meet the family. She hopes his mother will like her but he says of course not. She will hate you. My mother will never think anyone is good enough for me. I may not have enough money but I think in time we will get along. You will see. Dim tells her not yo pay his mother any mind. She is seriously crazy. I have warned you.

There was so much going on in this capitulo. I was so relieved to finally see Ale walking and talking. It 's a telenovela miracle. The quickest recovery from a 7 year coma ever! It was very heart breaking to hear Ale talk about how he missed his son growing up. He fled to try and stay out of jail because he couldn't bear to be apart from his family, but it happened anyway. As someone commented yesterday, it's as if Ale had his own 7 year sentence, just like JL. Ale's worst nightmare came true. He lost his family, and his son was growing up without him. I just hope that Laurito doesn't reject Ale when he returns to Aguazul. He is very close to JL and I hope Laurito accepts Ale into his life.
Wow! Dimi is really falling for Monica.
I think he is sincere about his feelings for her. But I wonder what will happen when Fina comes back into Dimi's life.
Did I mention how good it was to see and hear Ale again?
Off to bed...hasta pronto!
The headaches he's talking about concern me. He might end up becoming a rage monster again and that would be evil on the writers' part. They should keep him in the hospital a few days for a whole battery of tests.
Josefina is going to get the shock of her life in tonight's episode.
I'm not buying Gracie's speech and I'm glad to see that Dimitrio isn't, either.
Isn't it always all about Graciela? Seems she could not stand not to be the center of attention at the get together with Montse/JL and Dimitrio/Monica at Carlota's (not her house anymore) so she turned on the tears and apologies to try to control everyone as usual. They better not believe her act.
Depressing ending with Pedro inside Nadia's house. How did he find them so quickly? Did he break in or walk right in into her apartment because the door was not locked? Could Nadia not smell the dirty rat? Creepy.
Jarifa
I have revised the chart during these two novelas to include a few more items. Will post more about that later.
I had to switch channels at the end when Nadia was putting Victoria to bed and creepy Pedro creeped into her home. Did anything happen after that ? Did he speak?Does she know he is there ?
In the previews, Mony and Dim are shocked when someone comes to the door....Josefina ? I am guessing that Monica will be no match for the beautiful on the inside and out Fina, Dim's onetruelove. At ease, Momica. Stand down.
I got a big kick out of Ale awakening and immediately starting some exercises. Luckily, he had some jockeys under that flimsy hospital gown.....otherwise...well ...TMI.
"Nothing like being in a coma for 7 years and suddenly decide to work out" and "Huckalious Ale" were my favorites. Thank you for your always informative, frank and fun summary.
I had to laugh that after 7 years, Victor had to ask where he could get a coffee. With the long stints he had at Ale's bedside, you would have thought he'd have a caffeine craving before now?
I am so afraid for Nadia! I cannot believe that she and Victor have been found after all this time. I hope and pray he does not hurt her. Susanlynn, I do not think Nadia knew that Pedro was there when the epi ended. He had turned on the light but she did not yet seem to be aware of his presence.
I don't think anyone believed Gracie's prattling.
And as for Monica? Couldn't have said it better than you Susanlynn:
In the previews, Mony and Dim are shocked when someone comes to the door...."I am guessing that Monica will be no match for the beautiful on the inside and out Fina, Dim's onetruelove. At ease, Momica. Stand down." Exactly!
Rulli's acting was excellent last night. But admiration for his emoting was all I felt. For the character, I felt little. For Monse and Laurito, I feel a great deal. For JL, sadness for what is to come.
I'm betting Josie shows up and all heck will break lose.
Thank you so much Gloria.
Diana
It's so good to see Alejandro up and about. What a remarkable recovery. He was even able to do a bit of jogging. My hat's off to the medical team that has sustained him for the past seven years... apparently not even a bedsore in all this time. Please take me to Argentina to ride out my next coma.
Carlos
Thanks so much for this awesome recap !
I was shaking my head when Ale just got out of bed and was doing semi squats! Like Carlos said a couple days ago, it's a Festivus Miracle! He still looks rough with the red rimmed eyes and he is so pale. I too worry about his headaches. I don't want him to be come a rage monster either.
I had to laugh during Graceless' speech. JL was holding back, Monse was trying not to roll her eyes, as was Dim and Monica. She's all "alone" and whose fault is that? Hers! Of course, she never sees it that way.
Poor Nadia! Peddy looked so confused when he turned on the light! I guess Carlos Torres doesn't know that Nadia is blind. Nadia's senses should be heightened now though. My FIL is blind, and he tells me that he knows when someone else is in the room with him. He tells me his sense of hearing and smell are heightened. I don't want Peddy to be hurting Nadia or Vicky, that would be too much. He's done enough already!
Thanks so very much Gloria for this fab recap.
The original plan was for Nadia and Victor to leave Mexico, go to Guatemala and then on to Argentina. This was to throw Peddy off their trail and less documentation to get to Argentina and Guatemala is very close to where Aguazul is. They had planned it pretty well, but then things with Ale hit the fan and they had to go.
Thanks so much for the wonderful recap. I was only able to watch the final minutes of this episode last night, so I was grateful for your detailed and vivid retelling. I especially had a lot of laughs at your description of Ale's getting out of bed and doing squats! Your recap was really entertaining.
Carlos: Had to laugh, too, at your comments about his medical team in Argentina. I agree their work is impressive. Hello to you, Argentina, for my future healthcare needs!
Thanks again, Gloria!
Carlos
I know it is absurd to think this but I am hoping that Pedro leaves Nadia alone now that he realizes she's blind. He lost his "pokemon" in an accident so he should feel some empathy for someone who has lost such a vital sensory organ. Crazy thinking, I know.
Who wants to bet that Josefina faints when she sees Montse alive? Anyone else think Monica's outfit was a bit racy for meeting the family the first time?
I'm warming a bit to Monica. She does seem to have a sense of humor which will definitely help her in dealing with Graciela. I was greatly amused by everyone's expressions as Graciela lamented and whined.
Jarifa,
"Could Nadia not smell the dirty rat?"
That was my exact thought as I watched last night.
Carlos
The Villain Scorecard now has the following items on it that need to be ranked from 1-5, with 5 being the worst:
Murders committed by own hand:
Murders ordered or instigated:
Attempted Murders
Knowingly becoming a criminal accomplice
Mistreatment of minor children:
Mistreatment of own/adopted children (any age):
Mistreatment of animals:
Physically abusive of others by oneself:
Physical abuse demanded to be done by others
Emotionally abusive:
Perversion level:
Level of greed/twisted ambition:
I think Pedro will match or exceed FeVier before this series is over. If you can think of other items, please say so.
Thanks, that hadn't occurred to me... but as for:
"...the shirt was a little too tight."
Isn't it always?
Carlos
Thanks for all the great work!
"...the shirt was a little too tight."
Isn't it always?
LOL! Carlos, that's just what I was thinking. :)
Every time I see Alejandro Avila I keep thinking he should someday be cast as Pablo Montero's brother. there is a resemblance.
Gloria- I hope you are starting to feel better. How wonderful of you to push through and give us a wonderful recap.
I watched on mute last night. I'm always on the phone when this show airs. I laughed so hard seeing Ale running through the streets of Buenos Aires just after waking up from a 7 year coma. QTH?!! :)
Not happy with the ending of the episode. Yikes!
Both Ale and JL have served 7-year sentences in their own way. And the writers have also made sure we the viewers served that sentence along with them by advancing the story 7 years. All of us have to catch up now.
Since Ale has returned to consciousness, it appears that the writers have set us up for a cruel reprise of the race to see who can win Montse's ultimate affections. JL has a huge head start.
You couldn't have been too groggy 'cause you were lucid enough to note "Dang, he [Alejandro] looks good in those jeans." Amen to that sistah, and:
"(You can see Carlotta falling for this, but not the kids
Another another great observation. I love Carlotta. She is such a softie, always ready to believe the best of people and certainly with Graciela, that is a real streeeeaaaatttch. No wonder Ezekiel seems to adore her. God knows he need unconditional love.
Carvivlie--I agree that there was a lot of lean, mean Monica on display in that dress, but I'm reminded of Doris' quip on the sidebar to the effect that slutty attire runs rampant in these telenovelas and on casual Fridays, she almost expects people to show up at the office in their underwear. No Anglo-Saxon decorum here!
And let me join the chorus of "Aren't Alejandro's shirts always too tight?" Yes. And I'm not complaining.
Thanks Gloria. Hope the new medication works. Migraines can sap your life away. You need all your energy to moderate those dress and accessory feuds between your daughters.
The scene with Ale breaking down before Nadia was heart wrenching. I can't imagine waking up after 7 years, and realizing the family he so wanted is gone from his life.
I can't beleive Montse and JL are planning a wedding so soon, but I guess seeing it from JL's point of view, this is what he has been waiting for so long. He brought tears to my eyes, wondering how his little boy had survived all alone :-(
Like all of you, I was creeped out at how quickly Pedro found Nadia. Jarifa, you wondered how he got in. If I remember correctly, I think he picked the lock. Perhaps before he made it big time in the Aguazul politics he made his living as a locksmith or a common burglar? Keeping my fingers crossed no harm comes to Nadia or Victoria.
Well hope you feel better Gloria.

I too want to know when Argentina rocketed to the top in medical coma care? When Ale started doing those knee bends I wanted to pick up the phone and call his doctor. Heck, after one night of "sleep", my back kills me some mornings...how does he have the muscle strength and flexibility after 7 years to do deep knee bends? Pieces of my beanie are still plastered all over the walls after that ( oh and yes, the jog!)
But that said, Rulli was marvelous last night. He is one of those rare TN actors that when he is playing the crushed galan and the tears flow...I'm toast. There is no over-emoting, it just is so genuine. Job well done.
As for the rest, predictable. I didn't blame little Lauro for being excited, he's never had a "dad". And he probably has been sick of all the wailing and lamenting the last few years, so seeing his Mom smile ( and maybe Grandma laying off the sobbing too) is making him one happy camper.
And of course, you just knew that the minute Dim thinks of moving on with someone, who will come knocking at the door. I'm almost afraid to watch!
The eye rolls by everyone but Carlotta during Gracie's inane sob story were hysterical!! Yeah, what you're serving, they aren't buying. Poor Carlotta though, was that supposed to show us how gullible she can be? Oh and EZ, please ditch the scarves!!
Victor better get his butt home. Ale is up and more than able. Hate hate hate the thought of Pedo already there. Why does he care anymore? Let them stay hidden. And he has no claim to the child. DNA would prove that ( among other things)--this plot line makes me head scratch because I have a feeling that little cutesy-pie plays into this somehow.

Everyone else is having a good time with it, but I have to say I’m a bit peeved by the sloppy writing in this ep. I suspend disbelief when I’m watching anything on TV. But, seriously, Ale running after being in a coma for seven years and the only consequence is a headache?! Pedro finding Nadia so quickly has been commented on, which is another “what?!” moment (I only saw the last five minutes of the ep, will catch up tonight). And by now Nadia should have all of her other spidey senses working double time.
I thought that Pedro might kidnap Little V and take her to Aquazul as an orphan he found, but she’s too old to go quietly and too young to keep it secret even if she’s told to. But what if he threatens her life—tells Nadia that he’ll kill her and Nadia has to tell Victoria that he’s a friend and she should go with him. I’m getting sick to my stomach thinking about it.
Nanette
Welcome Tracy H.
Nanette: your causing me anxiety now with your Victoria kidnapping scenarios! LOL
Ale's ability to leave his bed and show immediate strength was amazing. I only wish my knees would bend like that.
I thought Monica handled her situation with Dim very well; sorry that Refugio influenced him to try again. If only they knew Finita was on her way!
Gracie whining about her loneliness was, at least, a mini-anvil. A very deserving one.
Pedro and Nadia reminded me of the Audrey Hepburn movie, "Wait Until Dark," which had very suspenseful action involving a blind woman in danger at home.
Carlos, you are hilarious! The "next" time you go into a coma, have your wife alert us and well start a collection for your Argentine airfare!!!
Thanks so much, Gloria. My DVR didn't record last night so this really helped.:)
And poor Nadia. To be blind and alone in the house with your little daughter and your worst nightmare walks through the door. It's creeping me out, man!
Good thing we have the Fina/Dim reunion coming up. That's going to be fun.
What a shame that after all the years of labor that the nurses put in keeping Sleeping Beauty toned and ripped that they didn't get to see him frolicking in his jockey’s. When Ale was doing the squats and slid his hand up his thigh, I had to remind myself to breathe.
My guess is Pedro will love playing a perverse game of cat and mouse with Nadia, too much to physically harm her.
Graciela and Fabiola deserve each other. They treat everybody like crap, then get weepy cause nobody wants them. Graciela was totally faking last night, but I do believe she is jealous of Rosario’s closeness with Monse and that it has nothing to do with money. I hope Gracieala and Fabiola wind up on a desert island together, with no no change of outfits and no wine.
Surprisingly, to me, I’m on the fence between Fina and Monica for Dim. Monica is turning out not to be such a beyotch. Who knows, maybe she could even help Esme whip herself back into shape.
Tiny kudos to Refoolio for setting Dim straight about Monica's feelings for him.
I too can't wait for Gracie and Fabiola's anvil! Gracie doesn't change, even after the years of solitude. Instead of trying to get close to her kids and grandson, she continues to try and manipulate everyone. And Fab, if only she had indeed arrived looking for a family, Ale would have shared his inheritance with her. Instead, she and her crooked lawyer, along with Pedro, not only took all his money and name away, they also took his family by setting him up for the murder of Ben and falsification of the will, causing him to flee, thus so ending up in a coma for so long. And Gracie making him believe Montse was dead. I hope they get what's coming to them!!!
Maricruz
Though we joked about it, I think it was strange that she didn't smell Pedro, especially since he is a pipe smoker, nor felt the warmth of his presence in the room.
Carlos
Carlos: had forgotten about the pipe. She definitely would have smelled that. But I've noticed in old movies, especially, that no one seems to notice when someone has been drinking. Granted, I'm ultra sensitive to the smell of liquor, but still. And smoking, too. Someone knocks on your door, you throw out the cigarette out the window and fan the fumes away and that person doesn't smell it on you especially if you've been doing it in a small room. Beanie time.
That was quite a rant.
