Caray, Caray!

PART 1

With nothing to discuss tonight I've decided to post my Armageddon list for fun and for the hell of it.

My Arrmaggedon List. Some of these things I think will happen others may be wishful thinking. I’ve listed the characters from least annoying to those i find most detestable.

ADRIANO - Modern day Job who has paid for every sin he ever committed or even thought of. He finds his beloved Valentino and son and at long last has the family of his dreams. His money returned he and Val run the shipyard.

VALENTINA - She has paid a horrific price for daring to love outside her class but she found the strength to survive, find her son and her one true love.

DOMINGO - Good friend to the end. He continues to provide advice to Adriano and to Blanca who he regards a a daughter.

EDUARDO - He went through life with few storms until the masked girl crossed his path. That fateful meeting resulted in his life being turned upside down when he discovered his whole life had been a lie. He is currently working on developing a relationship with his parents and with the help of his true love building a real family.

SOFIA - Undergoing psychiatric counseling to help her deal with the death of her mother and come to terms with all the lies around her. (The problem i see here is that Ed protected her when Her mother ditched her as an infant and lied to her and he must now lie about the fact that her mother was not a super heroine but a cold blooded murderess).

BLANCA - Like her or not she is the above the title protagonist and thus gets her revenge and wins the heart of Eduardo. She marries him is a dress designed by Omar the Tent Maker and is trying to help him integrate into a new family.

HUGO - Currently undergoing psychiatric treatment with his new sister Sofia in an attempt to help him cope with the split in his family and the major changes his family has undergone

LETTY - Freed from prison when all of Raquel’s misdeeds are revealed, she now works as a housekeeper for her old friend Valentina.
 

PART 2

CAT - Unwilling or unable to forgive Ramon for his perceived sins and the disgrace brought on the family name she flees to New York to spend time with Diego and rebuild her life.

KATINA - Fed up with Jorge’s constant flip flopping she continues to work at the restaurant while making Jorge jump through hoops to prove he truly loves her.

RAMON - Still moping about being alone in the world and the loss of Cat he moves to the DF and builds a career as a very successful photographer before going to NY to try and win back Cat.

JORGE - Still waffling around about what he wants to do and stunned by the revelations about his mother he aimlessly tries to win Karina back and finally decides to open and run the orphanage.

CHRIS - Like his brothers he is shocked by the truth of what his mother was, and by Marian’s lies he now works as a minor functionary in the shipyard.

TITA - Sorry for her accusations against Adriano she continues to run her restaurant while spending several days a week visiting her son in prison and hoping he really has changed.

CLEMENTE - Having survived Raquel and Ivan’s threats he spends his days in prison cursing the day he ever crossed paths with the Altamiras.

RAFA - He finally chose a side and stuck to it helping to bring down Raquel. Due to his own crimes, framing people, luring people to their deaths and theft he is spending several yeas in prison and trying to prove to his mother that he has changed.

MELANIA - With Raquel’s downfall her complicity in framing Blanca, sending her own daughter to prison, aiding in the drugging of Valentina is revealed. She is sentenced to the same prison where her daughter spent years just as Leticia is freed. Her begging letters for a visit or forgiveness are returned as she now suffers what she put her own child through.

IVAN - Betrayed by Mariana and outsmarted by Blanca he gives Mariana the Richie treatment. While fleeing with Raquel he loses control of his car, is ejected and dies at the scene.

SIMONA - Evicted from her apartment, she blows through her ill gotten goods hoping that Blanca and her rich family will forgive her for her numerous betrayals. Currently living at the old house she is working for Tita and is ignored by her family.

RAQUEL - Outsmarted by Adriano, Valentina and Blanca all of her evil deeds are exposed. Trying to flee with Ivan she survives the car accident but is paralyzed from the waste down. Rejected by her sons, she loses her grip on reality and is sent to the manicomio where the fat nurse and rapist doctor torment her daily.

MARIANA - She outsmarts herself trying to betray both Ivan and Raquel and her lies about Sofia are revealed. When Ivan realizes that she is behind him losing his money hew kills her.
 

I like your list of outcomes for the characters!

In the last episode we saw, it looked like they were going with Simona changing her mind about cooperating with Raquel when she heard she was guilty of murdering her father. But I want some extremely harsh retribution for what she's done so far! I don't want them to let her off with begging to be forgiven and happily ever after.

My thoughts exactly . It would be pretty hard for me to immediately forgive a sister of mine that signed papers for me to have electric shock, who publicly disowned me as her sister calling me a murder, crazy and before that a prostitute and then setting me up to be hit. Simona is 18 and old enough to know better and needs to receive some sort of punishment.

Drat ignore the spelling errors in my list that auto correct gets me every time.
 

Decie, thanks for sharing your Armageddon list! I don't see Sal on the list but am afraid his fate is sealed. I foresee more deaths than you do, but time will tell. Sadly I will miss June 10-23 as I will be away from American TV during that time. Will be counting on all you Caray-ites to keep me in the loop!

I woke up this morning and thought I don't remember typing what I had for Sal so here goes every one.

SAL - Lost the girl of his dreams but recovers his career. Is offered a big promotion in the DF and leaves corrupt Guerrero behind. Last seen having a late night dinner with his old friend the doc from the prison who has also moved into private practice in the DF.

With so little time left I just couldn't see Raq and Leon going on a killing spree. Compared to LP the body count on this one is fairly low.

J do you want us to provide a short synopsis of what happens when you're gone or just the usual snark?
 

Decie, that is so sweet of you! Maybe I can keep up by following the comments...otherwise, I will ask for a quick update. Anyone know the date of the final episode?

Depending on any more interruptions for futbal or what ever I'm guessing the first week of July.
 

I think that ending date is about right. They're doing promos for Reina de Corazones, and I read that it will start July 8. I think that's too early for En Otra Piel to be over, so it will probably replace La Impostora.

It will feature another boring pretty boy galán, Eugenio Siller. And he'll be cast - again - like La Impostora, with a woman older than himself (Paola Nunez) if only by 3 years.

Don't think I'll be watching this one.

Anon, I'm sorry to hear the replacement stars Eugenio Siller. Seriously, I can't watch him.

Well what could ever go wrong? All Clemente had to do was lie and say it was Leo that asked him to change the autopsy and Raquel with another fake letter convince the boys she is a saint.

Ramon now a drunken fool. Looks like Cat and Chris will ultimately get back together after he breaks it off with Mariana and Cat is working on him to tell the truth about Sofia not being the child of Ed.

Ends with Blanca a maid in Ivan's house after a kiss in the car with Sal. Poor Sal. Adriano again with a knife at Raquel's throat.

It got stupid with Rafa friending Jauna on some social site "fantasy something" but that did allow them to semi kidnap an innocent maid and substitute Blanca to gain entry into Ivan's house. It was also silly Simona would stay in the apartment after alerting Blanca as Ivan's goons arrive.

The highlight for me was Hugo attacking one of the goons.
 

I missed what happened when Adriano came to see Val and when Ramon showed up at Cat's apt. Can someone help?
 

Tofie, Adriano had a short visit with Val, looks like she is still in the hospital wing of the manicomio recovering from her gunshot surgery. Adriano vows he will get her out of there.
Also, Ramon comes staggering up to Cat in the street protesting he is not to blame for Clemente's disgrace, it was Blanca who stole the proof from him. Cat doesn't buy it and tells him "have a good life...and stop drinking".

I missed the last 15 mins due to an incoming phone call. Saw Blanca entering Ivan's house as the maid...what, she thought he wouldn't recognize her? But missed the rest.

I thought the same so she was avoiding him and was told bu Jauna not to be visible around the boss. First thing though Ivan came down the stairs talking on the phone and Blanca stood behind a pillar listening as he mentioned hiring the best hitman to kill Blanca. Ended with Adriano sneaking in and put a knife to the neck of Raquel again. Chris also shows up at Cat's apartment and he and Ramon had a few words then he went in and told Cat he broke it off with Mariana as he was stroking her cheek but Cat took his hand away and told him to stop but she did thank him for coming. I guess she called him because Ramon had stumbled upon her. Oh and Ed went to see Val too and told the mean nurse he was going to take her out of there.
 

Lots of interesting stuff. Raq's Forgery Factory is up and running again after she had poor dead Leo thrown under the bus again. Actually from Clemente's point of view not a bad strategy. Anyway Ed looked like he wasn't buying it, Chris ignored it since he is aware of some of his mother's past actions but simpleton Jorge bit. His later picture tossing and telling Ed sometimes he wishes he wasn't a member of the family looked like another red herring to make us thing could this dimwit be Adriano's?

Ramon who has always been a bit of a bore has now sunk into the inevitable bottle of tequila. While it may be because Cat dumped him it may also be that he realizes he has no cojones and should have maned up months ago with those papers. He is however now a risk to Blanca as he probably wants revenge and he could get her killed.

Loved Chris who is becoming less of a douche letting Mariana know that he regretted giving up Cat for someone like her and it was over. She of course is still not prepared to tell Ed the "truth" about Sofia. Cat was smart when Chris mentioned it to her saying that all Ed needs is a DNA test. Never have seen a novela where so many DNA tests were part of the story.

Looks like Rafa and Simona are on the road to redemption. How predictable. Loved Hugo jumping on the thug and simona delivering a nice kick.

Oh please Mariana the Mafia Murderess tells Ed she is afraid of Blanca getting in the house and harming Sofia. Eye roll.

Diego hung up on Cat when she was talking about what was going on. Was it because he knew about Clemente's edgy moral code or did he blame his sister for the family downfall.
 

DecieGirl, I wondered too about Diego but then later when Cat and Chris were talking she mentioned Diego wasn't taking it well and he has a history of being depressed. (think I heard that right) I've wondered if Diego is the missing son.

Ramon is a LOSER (no self respect and it was his fault Blanca even knew about the documents)and Iforgot who mentioned a month or so ago they thought Cat and Cris will end up back together. Looks probable and Ramon a throwaway.

We've guessed that the missing son is just about every guy who isn't an old man. Anything is possible but Diego would be a real late add in. I keep remembering Leo saying that Adriano's son was a fine man which leaves out wussy Ramon and Raq saying she had easy access to the son's DNA. It doesn't seem likely that she would have that kind of access to someone who wasn't under her direct control which brings us back to the Altamira dolts with Ed leading the way.

I'm really interested to see how Ed will get Val out of the manicomio and bring her home where she is at even greater risk. I'm hoping that she will tell him no she wants Blanca or Adriano and tells him Raq shot her. It's time to get this segment of the story moving and i want to see the feisty Val back on a permanent bases.

I can't remember. Does Blanca know about the Ivan Mariana connection. The way that both Mariana and Raq swan in and out of the place she'd better hope she can the proof she needs and get out ASA.
 

I was having la impostor withdrawal symptoms until last night. Doesn't the young reporter on the steps of the Altamira mansion telling Blanca that Eduardo is engaged look incredibly like the fake Blanca? I have watched her three times now (previews) and think she even sounds like her.

Am really disappointed in Ramon and Cat. I know Cat loves her father but I thought she had more values than to let an innocent man stay in jail so her dad does not have to stand trial, which he should. Her father did wrong and should not have been allowed to leave the country. Ramon did not have backbone to go through with his plans because of her and now he is boo hooing because Blanca did what he should have, and Cat is mad at him. They are both wrong. Ramon grow up and do what is right. Stop wasting your time drinking and do something constructive with the situation.

Though I am disappointed with Cat she deserves more than a man who can literally keep a woman in sexual slavery no matter if she is in the mob or not. Chris is lower than Rafa in my estimation and I had liked him, mainly because he was such a good uncle to Sophia.

Decie I do not know if Blanca knew about the Ivan, Mariana connection. I am kind of thinking she figured it out but am not sure.

How does a waitress learn to work a computer and set up a keynote like Blanca has. It is so hoakey. Makes me cringe every time I see it. It seems we are to be subjected more times to the screen before it is over.

How does Adriano get to see Val in the manicomio but Eduardo has limits? Interesting. Is it a hint that Eduardo wants to take his tia home and none of the others do?

You go Hugo! After your psychiatric sessions are over you may grow into a wonderful galon.

Can't wait for tonight's episode.
 

I think Blanca learned a lot of the computer stuff when she was originally working for Adriano. He hd all kinds of stuff going on.

I noticed that Adriano had a visitors tag on but i didn't see one on Ed.I hate that pig faced nurse who delights in tormenting people telling him only Raql Altamira could have any say about Val. I thought he said his lawyer would be discussing it and he was going to take her hone to his family (very bad move that. She backed off and probably ran to the phone.

It surprises me that Raq has'nt made Val disappear but is leaving her in the manicomio now that everyone knows where she is and can potentially "rescue" her.

BTW, watching Rafa trying to make the moves on Juanita in the restaurant was pretty funny, you could tell he was sweating bullets in case they demand that he actually seduce her....

How the heck does Adriano get through scores of security guards walking the grounds? He has a knife to Raquel's throat, and you can see the guards outside. Raquel needs to fire everybody because they are useless as home security. Speaking of which, wasn't there a dog at the Altamira house? Remember when Blanca needed to get back into the mansion, and a dog came out of nowhere? Security was able to stop the dog from attacking her. It was the same day that Jorge saw "Victoria" from the back for the first time and she ignored him by being on the phone.

Oh, get out of here with this nonsense! You mean to tell me that Ivan doesn't recognize Blanca's FACE. This is ridiculous. A maid's uniform, and a flow bee haircut doesn't constitute a valid disguise.

Tonight did they announce "ultima etapa"? I want Val to hurry up and put on her Wonder Woman costume again. Guess she was still being drugged after her surgery.

I'll give Ivan a pass. He really hasn't looked that closely at Blanca, after all she is just a servant. Plus which he couldn't possibly imagine that she would have the gut stowalk into his house.

With Raq Blanc was trying to turn her face away and keep a hand up around it and she never heard her speak. Plus which it would wreck the whole story if she got discovered at this point.

Chris has returned to douche status refusing to listen to Adriano when told the family had stolen his money. Also it's bad form to hit an older man.

It'a interesting to watch as the little threads of all of Raq's lies and crimes are slowly ever so slowly beginning to unravel.

I'm hoping that Val speaks up in front of Ed and says she want to go with Blanca and that Adriano arrives in time to get her out of that hell house.

Laughed when pig faced nurse volunteered to go with Val and Ed shot her down.
 

This is comedic and laughed the whole way through.

Tita telling Jorge and Karina she would not support their marriage. Loved it.


 

Tita was right. Jorge blows hot and cold, he has no real job and of course he has that tainted Altamira blood.

Blanca is doing her level best not to lead Sal on but he keeps pushing her. He really should just back off.

The Cat selling her clothes scene was interesting when Mariana shows up and goes all snotty on her. Cat doesn't take much lying down and when she mentioned the real parentage of Sofia Mariana looked a little frightened. I do wish someone would tell Ed so we could get that thread tied up. With 25 episodes to go it's time for more things to hit the fan .

Apparently Blanca now has proof about Raq and ivan's gun running so their days are increasingly numbered.

While Raq and Ivan somehow didn't find the servant suspicious, Raq's goon was picking up the vibe but said nothing.

I'm wondering how the hell Blanca is going to get out of the mansion especially if Ed blows the whistle.
 

Cat will find out real quick how true her daddys words were now all accounts are frozen and she thrown out of her brothers apartment. Wonder if she runs back to Chris (but with the bad blood between she and Raquel perhaps they get their own love nest). Does she crawl to Ramon's door (but his big mouth cause her to be on the street with no warning or preparation) Or, does she go stay with Mariana (except Mariana wants Raquel to be ok with her marrying Ed)

Calling Diego to come back and straighten out this mess.
 

Cat had a job at the shipyard so she can either try and get it back or take what appeared to be marketable skills and get a job. She really doesn't have too many options so maybe she goes back to the barrio and finds a cheap place or even asks Tita for help.
 

I think Raquel and Ivan are suspicious of the new maid. They have a look of interest, but it is more of a do I know this person ? kind of thing. Raq's henchman is probably not positive either. though more in the 98% range. He is probably waiting for the 2% of being sure before he mentions it. Don't want to lose your job over being wrong.

I wonder if Val is pretending, like Blanca did, to be comatose. Just waiting for her moment. Then again she is probably tired of being on the brink of freedom twice and have it taken away from her.

Yes, in the end of the episode last night the announcer said in the final chapters.

I do not want Cat back with Chris. He is no good, even if he is a good uncle. Every where else in his life he fails.

I am wondering why the person that stepped in for Sal when Sal was fired has not reinstated him now that the sort of truth has come out?

Since Diego has not had time to mess anything up, or do a wrong, he seems to be the only one who hasn't messed up somewhere, could he be the son?

Loved it when Cat put it to Marianna that she should tell Ed who Sophia really belongs to, or, maybe she doesn't know, just that it she isn't Eduardo's.

I too wonder if Val is faking it. After all she knows if she opens her mouth about Raq shooting her it will be the last thing she ever does. However when Raq shot her Val has said she was fed up and had enough of it. Perhaps we'll know for sure tonight. Go Val! Plus hich it seems that Adriano knows and is on the way to get her out.

Sal was fired for suppressing evidence that would incriminate Blanca? Can't remember. Anyway, I hope hope hope Val is faking it and will respond to Blanca, except that Ed just walked in and caught Blanca. Also, Melania appeared to be trying to warn the comatose Val that Ed had brought her right into the most dangerous place she could be.
Which way will Melania jump? Does anyone still know or care that Letitia was imprisoned unjustly? (Not you guys...I mean, on the show).

Melania did seem to be threatening Val. She is so tied to Raq and aiding and abetting her crimes we know for sure she doesn't give a rat's behind about her own daughter. Can't wait to see what her anvil looks like.

Sal wasn't so much fired for suppressing evidence but for not pursuing the case more stringently. Actually he was suspended but i guess in Mexico or Novelaland that is equivalent to being fired.

Someone mention that dog back in the beginning but we haven't seen him since he went after Blanca. Adriano is familiar with the layout of the Altamira's house so I'd think he wouldn't have much problem getting in without being caught by the guards.
 

For a minute there I thought Raq was going to tell Ivan who the son was as she was going on about not wanting Adriano to take her ... but no. So we wait.

Cat surprised me by doing something as low class as getting into a hair pulling match with Mariana. I'm glad to see that she is really pushing Chris to do the right thing and tell Ed what he knows. Now why the two of them think Rafa knows anything is a mystery.

Ed doesn't call the cops and has the brains to get his hands on the security tapes. That bugged the heck out of Mariana and probably saved Blanca from getting caught by Ivan and Raq. Of course both of them are so stupid they didn't notice her doing one of her lurking by the pillars routines.

Smart move on Adriano's part to enlist the help of one of the boys to get Val out of the house. Ed may just be starting to believe something is wrong, Jorge seems to have seen the light but then again they are Altamira's.

Wondering why Val remains silent. Maybe she'll snap out of it once they get her away from Raq.

Poor Sofia now Ed has her keeping secrets and Mariana forcing her to tell. The poor kid is really going to need professional help and soon at this rate and the worst hasn't hit the fan yet

Glad to see that everyone is refusing to give mopey Ramon Blanca's number or to tell him where she is. They are using their heads for a chance and recognizing that no good would come from him knowing anything..
 

I wondered about why Ramon wouldn't have Blanca's cel number since they grew up together, but then remembered the phone was relatively new, given to her by Adriano I think.

Yah, Chris wants to force Rafa to tell the truth about Sofia's parentage since Rafa "knew Mariana when she was with all the Mafia types". But didn't Rafa join the Mafia gang o' thugs just at the beginning of the show?
Looks like Rafa and Simona may both find redemption, Simona at least appears to have turned the corner.

Adriano has done more since he has been out of jail toward turning the brothers that all the sneaking around Blanca has done. His conversation with Jorge and even the combative one with Chris. Still don't know what Blanca really brings to the table.

Ramon stop being a crybaby. It was his fault the information leaked and I agree the information could have been better used but Ramon and Cat was never gonna last. She is the woman giving Chris shoulder rubs and counsel now and she is still wearing her wedding ring. See ya Ramon

Shameful of Ed to put Sofia in the position of covering for that silly clown Blanca.

Val, I hope you heard the conversation so now you know Adriano, the love of your life, willingly cheated on you and kept quiet. These things do have a way of ultimately coming out. Just remember it takes two to tango.
 

Adriano deeply regrets what happened with Raq but she was the one forcing the issue and she appears to be older than him. Val may not believe it anyway since she knows what a liar her sister is.

I find it interesting that Cat who was pithed that Blanca got the ball rolling on outing Clemente is now doing the same thing in trying to get Chris to talk.

Rafa was sucked into the mafia thing in the beginning when he crossed paths with Mariana and Richie. I can't see her spilling the beans about who Sofia's father is since I suspect she may not even know herself.

Ed is a good caring father to Sofia even if she turns out not to be his and in any event will have custody of her in the end since Mariana has to die. However like Mariana he sometimes crosses the line. Marina has made the child lie or lie by omission many times under the guise of it's a mommy and hija thing. Ed never should have let the girl think that Mariana gave her the computer when Blanca was the one who did. I never could figure out why he didn't call Mariana out on. Now he is urging the child to keep secrets.

I certainly hope Ed ditches the tapes before Marian goes on one of her snooping runs.

Poor Simona she still can't give it away.

Adriano has it easier than Blanca since she is a fugitive and none of the Altamira brothers want to have anything to do with her and wouldn't believe her if she showed them pictures of their mother murdering someone.\. She is on the other hand getting solid physical evidence to back up the accusations against Raq and Ivan. I wonder when she is going to go after proof that Raq killed the boys father and what will happen when she does.
 

I agree the boys won't believe a word Blanca utters and was thinking the same as I wrote this morning. It's her own fault because she has flip flopped, lied and lied and betrayed folk that did trust her. Just as Adriano has trouble believing or trusting Jorge or anyone trusting Rafa and Sofia is really disappointed.

So funny and right Simona can't give it away. Know Raquel believes she will hand over Blanca but hard to believe she still gets to live in that apartment after Blanca got away before.

Yeah, Cat is after Rachel and now Mariana so easier for her to justify pushing Chris. I don't understand the benefit of Ed knowing other than to stop the wedding and why should that matter to Cat? Her big beef is with Raquel and get her turning Chris against her. Bottom line for Cat right now is she needs a place to stay and someone to pay her dry cleaning bills
 

It sure would stop the wedding and that would be Cat's revenge for catching Chris in the sack with the mafia queen. Cat is out for both the witches and Mariana would be throw to the curb for her lying.

I'm thinking we would have a double shock when the truth comes out since Ed would have a DNA test that would reveal he is not Raq's. I do wish that would happen soon because we are running out of time and I hate shows that stuff all the big reveals into the next to the last episode. Then you get one of those days, week, moths pass and all the relationships are just hunky dory. The viewers deserve better than that.
 

I agree! Hate those sappy endings that show all the couples happily married off and a couple of the villains behind bars, in a neat 7-minute montage.
It's very frustrating after all those months of emotional investment.

Chris has just gotten more information about his mother and her Mafia lover and it looks like he is going to refuse to believe it. The other two remain clueless.

Simona still can't give it away and for that matter sell it. Guess her redemption hasn't gone very far.

Wondering what Blanca heard and told Adriano that sent him off to confront Raq about his son. I always did wonder how she said that she had access to his son's DNA thinking was she ordering the son to get a blood test. Obviously it wasn't going to be cheek swabs so we are left with hair which she would have easy access to.

Ramon is still a drunken fool and no wonder Cat is slowly going to end up in the sack with Chris, have a place to stay and money to spend.

Ed may be the son surmised by Blanca but I still think he is Raquel's and Adriano and Val's son another. For the DNA test it was just for Adriano's parentage not the mothers.

Karina's diastase for the Altamira cash and position got shoved aside pretty quick with an invitation for Raquel to get to know her better. Head to the mall for hair and makeup.

So Blanca can't go talk to Cat for Ramon, afraid she'll be caught, but she parades in Ivan's and Raquel's house in a lame maids costume, Raquel's as a reporter and Tita's restaurant as a school girl.
 

Back again and all caught up. This is the week that was and you folks covered it all so nicely.

Ever since someone mentioned that it was "in Christian Bach's contract that she is never to wear something with short sleeves," it has me obsessed. In the last 5 episodes I watched as a marathon, her arms are never bare. Well, in one scene she has something on that comes down to below her elbows.

I wonder what it is all about. Does she just think it looks sexier or she has tattoos that can't be covered with makeup. In any case that black jump suit she had on, certainly left nothing to the imagination, including her crotch.

Decie--about the DNA test. In Rafa's flashback, he is remembering the conversation with the doc about not needing a needle because he doesn't like needles (and sweating bullets at the time in case it was). It was my impression that it was going to be cheek swabs. Rafa had the doctored vial ready to be switched with his real one, so Raq had to have had the opportunity to swab something of "that son," like from a water glass or used cutlery. So, I don't think it was hair.

Blanca again was intimating that she's only interested in justicia (that must have been in HER contract--she has to say it at least once every 44 minutes) and not Ed--the son of her father's assassin. Boy is she ever going to change her tune quick when she finds out he's Adriano and Val's.

She's beginning to suspect something about the difference in months between Ed and Cris' birth doesn't add up, but 10 months apart is still biologically possible. I've known it to happen, although 11 months apart is more common.

Regardless, we have the other mystery to solve. Is there a different son who is Adriano's and Raq's? If so, then only one son is left as la pura sangre de Raquel and the putative, dead father Altamira. If Adriano does collect "his" sons, one of the brothers is going to be left out. I feel sorry for him already.

Decie--I got a kick out of your Armageddon List. It's all too logical (especially Blanca's second wedding in an Omar the Tentmaker gown). I would like Sofia to know what her bio-mom does for a living in Mariana's presence before being dispatched. Since Sofia is already going to need counseling, one more thing isn't going to do that much more damage. I would hate for Ed and Blanca to cover it all up and continue to paint Mariana as a super heroina, just for Sofia's sake.
 

I too hope the poor little girl finds out what a mess her mother is. But given Ed's tendency to cover up the worse about Mariana I doubt it. On the other hand Sofia once said that kids hear things in the house that adults don't always know about. Raq on the other hand is always sending her off and away from the adults.

I'm stubborn so I'm still not going for the two sons scenario. Had this been on of Univision's interminably long novelas maybe I would think differently but since this one is 120 episodes and has been tight all along I'm still on Ed as the only one and Sofia as his. I may end up eating crow in a few weeks but I call it as I see it (and how I'd write it).

The DNA test will show Adriano as the father and either Val or Raq. They may be sisters but siblings often don't have identical DNA. In any event let's get on with it and tear up at least one Altamira boy's life.

Didn't notice Christian's crotch but that cold shoulder number she had on last night was sheer enough to see one of her famous bras. Costume department should have known not to have white under black. And while on the wardrobe mishaps those pants on Cat are ghastly. And poor Val's number isn't much better.

Am I the only one who just wants to smack Melania? I wish someone would tell her to mind her own business and remember her place - a servant, not a member of the family.

The only way Cat would be going to Subway is if she suddenly went to the DF and met the Menchacas. She'd also be a better match for Sul then anyone they've got over there and we know he loves Subway> LOL

For what it is worth Telemundo has done a much more subtle job with it L'Oreal product [placement then Televisa does.

How is it that Rafa has suddenly changed? Surely not from Tita throwing him out, and certainly not from what Ramon said that no one believe him. What gives?

Cat can't keep a secret. Uh oh Rafa. You told Cat one and she promised to keep it a secret. I think she promised Chris that too about the blood test and look what happened. There is nothing to keep Cat from leaving Mexico to be with Diego. She does not have to be with Chris the scum. It will be easier for her to find work in the states where she won't be thrown out of any stores and can do her job without snickering.

I am getting tired of Raq's black outfit with the holes cut out of the arms. The the bra thing. Just ugly.

I think Rafa being threatened with death and a little shaming from Tita is what turned Rafa temporarily but he is the kind of guy that once the heat off he will be right back in pompous-ass-ville.

Oh, Cat those pants don't become you and I saw you standing behind Chris stroking his shoulders like you would an attack dog. Go ahead and jump back in the sack with him you still wear the ring. Funny, but you have more information and less likely, since pop in in the big house, to have a bias, have proven you can think, not afraid to attack, know all the players, but have not gone to talk strategy with Adriano. You need to do it quick before the slobbering, dimwitted, drunk Ramon does something stupid and muck everything up.

Karina is just the latest of the poor folk to jump at the chance to throw themselves at the feet of Raquel. Not fond of her but at least she held off longer than everyone else starting with Blanca. Tita, your prayers will not help.

I feel so sorry for Sofia. There is not one adult that is protecting her (including Ed) they are so selfishly caught up in their own drama legitimized by love. Seems you can sweep any bad behavior under the rug. What a wacked out world when I thought love sometimes requires putting away you own selfish wants. Poor Hugo too.
 

Been thinking since I couldn't sleep last night so here goes.

Why I think there is only one son and it is Ed, My conclusions are based on the revelation that there is only a 10 month difference between Ed and Chris. I'm assuming that Ed is the oldest, then Chris and hapless Jorge.

Adriano never knew he had a son. We learned that in the beginning, and also that the Altamira's humiliated him and drove him out of town and in fact Mexico.

Val wrote the infamous letters telling him about her pregnancy but Socorro held the letters so he never knew.

If he had still been in town with Raq chasing after him he would have discovered Val's pregnancy or if Raq was Ed's birth mother she would have told him she was pregnant because of he obsession with him and also as a sure fire way to break him and Val up. Val has her baby which is taken away from her.

Raq kept Val's baby as her way of having a piece of Adriano and has probably convinced herself she gave birth to him when in reality 10 months later she had Chris. As much as she goes on about Family and her sons she holds both Chris and Jorge in contempt and even told Chris he could never measure up. If Chris were hers and Adriano's she wouldn't treat him like she does.

My thoughts and with any luck we will soon know for sure.
 

Hugo Who? Nobody ever seems to give the kid a thought except Karina once in awhile. Simona just tells him to go do his homework. Why doesn't Blanca impersonate an actual big sister for once?

Well now Simona is living large in Raquel's den of sin and Blanca living large in Socorro's gift by death. It would be so easy if someone would suggest or Blanca just let Hugo come in out of the rain and dry off at her pad. Now Karina will soon be living in the big house with Jorge. Oh, but it's for love and it's only temporary and oh they'll understand and forgive me when I make it up to them - never.
 

Fo once Blanca is being smart not having Hugo living with her. He could inadvertently lead to cops or Ivan directly to her. There is no excuse except for her selfishness for Simona not to have him with her. Karina isn't going to be living in the big house now or ever since Raq won't allow it and has thrown Jorge out. He is such a simpleton he thinks he can make her mother change her mind about his naco girlfriend - aint gonna happen.

Of all of them the one I'm most disappointed in is Jorge. He had moved in and was providing some stability and a male image for Hugo. But once the scandal broke and he dumped Karina he also dumped Hugo.

Poor Hugo with his disappearing sister, his would be hooker sister, friend Sofia who dumped him because he was a liar like all his family (not true) , Jorge is too busy chasing the village skank and his friend from the orphanage has been taken God knows where. At any ate now he is with Tita who at least has the maturity to be repspnsible for him.
 

Decie--To continue with your thought process. I actually agree with you vis a vis the birth order and parentage of the Altamira boys.

The thing that has me thinking (maybe too much for this tn) is how Raquel managed to pass Ed off as hers. How did she get her now deceased hubby to agree to it, unless she controlled him like she did her dad. Besides Raquel, only Melania and Val (and maybe Leticia) are left alive that know Raq was never pregnant before Cris was born. Still it would have been a bit weird in that household with a nephew converted to a son and four people plus assorted servidumbre who knew it.

I too wondered how she passed Ed off on her hubby. I'm thinking she may have lied and pretending to be the grieving sister — remember she had had Val declared dead, and out of the goodness of her heart took in the infant and declared him to be hers. I sure would like to know about her poor dead hubby. She said he cheated on her (who could blame him). Allegedly his lover Letty killed him. Now I want to know haw many years are between Chris and Jorge in order to know how long the hapless dude has been dead. none of the boys ever mention him.
 

Decie--Your explanation works for me. I know it is fairly common for relatives to adopt orphaned or unwanted bebes in the family. The sad part comes in not telling them their origins until they are forced to by medical or other urgencies.
