Pedro has the gun pointed at himself as EZ and I are yelling for him to shoot himself. Hurry up before the navy rushes in and arrest you. Now shoot! It looks like Pedro is about to pull the trigger but instead points the gun at a surprised EZ. You are here because I have decided it this way says Pedro. I wanted the pleasure to end your miserable pathetic life. Pedro pulls the trigger but unfortunately there are no bullets. EZ laughs and says you fell in my game. The plan is to turn you in alive so the navy can find Rosario and you can rot in prison for the rest of your life you miserable swine! Pedro rushes EZ and throws him up against the wall, throws insults at him and pistol whips him. The navy rush in but Pedro is long gone. The boys ask EZ were Pedro is and if he said anything about Rosario. Nothing replies EZ.

Outside a badly wigged Maria is waiting in a car and in hops Pedro. They speed off.

Amelia and Virginia sit down for a heart to heart chat. Amelia is angry that Virginia keeps questioning her decision to marry Pedro and send her away. Virginia believes Amelia sent her away to enjoy her marriage to Pedro and keep her from pestering them. Amelia admits the only reason she married Pedro was to find proof of his bad dealings. He never touched her or shared a bed with her. Virginia isn't buying her story. Amelia grows more frustrated and says there is just no talking to her. Virginia says she really needed her. She lost her father, sister and then her. Amelia says she did it all to protect her. She loves, missed and needs her. They are together now and nothing will separate them again. She wants her to find someone to love and form a family. She wants grand kids. Virginia says she met a man at Esme's house. His name is Eric. I don't think he is interested in Esme since he's a younger. I believe I caught his eye.

I think not. Eric tells Esme that he really likes her. Esme doesn't think it's a good idea. He's a bit young for her and she has a kid. Eric doesn’t care about that. When he dreamed of the perfect woman, she would be authentic, happy and love life. She wouldn’t care what others thought. And now I have found you. He makes his move and kisses her. (something tells me her husband is not going to like this).

Macario wonders what the heck is Kevin doing behind the cash register? He doesn't think it's a good idea and tells him to run along. Dominga can't believe how Macario is treating his son. He is smarter and a better worker then you are. She continues scolding him as Montse walks in wondering what's going on? Macario asks if they have any news on Rosario? Nothing yet replies Montse. Nosy Nadia wants to know why Macario and Dominga were arguing. Dominga complains about how Macario treats his son. What son asks the ladies. Dominga calls Kevin and introduces him to the ladies and gives a brief explanation on how he came to them.

Back at JL's office, he offers EZ a deal. If he leads him to Rosario, safe and sound, he will insure that EZ gets on a plane with a new identity. EZ would love to take him up on his offer but has no idea where Rosario is. JL wants to know what Pedro told him. EZ says he talked of when Efrain was chief of police. He's still angry with you for killing him in la Paso de la Viboda. A light bulb goes off in JL's head.

Dim and Refugio return to the office pissed that the operation did not go down as planned and Pedro escaped. Dim is determined to find out from EZ who is el Alacran.

JL informs Ale that Pedro did not tell EZ on Rosario's whereabouts. Ale is sure that Pedro will kill Rosario. JL voices his suspicions that she could be near la Paso de la Viboda. Ale tries to rush out but JL stops him. You can't go alone, I will go with you.

EZ tries chatting up Policeman Suarez. The policeman gets a call and suddenly EZ realizes that Suarez works for Pedro. Suarez hands the phone over and EZ asks what Pedro wants. Pedro says that he wants to squash him like a bug. No matter where he runs, he will find him. I want you to always wonder if those around you are in my pocket. EZ begs for something to do so that he can be released. He offers to kill Ale. Pedro wants to do that himself. He suggests EZ kill JL if he can. Then if he succeeds, he will consider letting him off the hook.

Maria tells Pedro that she doesn’t think EZ could do it. He disagrees. Maria asks how much longer he will be hiding at her place. No a second more replies Pedro. This place is unsafe. And where will you go? That's none of your business. She wants a favor but he tells her in due time. You know what to do. He leaves.

JL and Ale walk back into his office and tell EZ they will be going to la Paso de la Vibora. EZ tells them to be careful. They don’t want Pedro’s men to see them. JL tells him not to tell him how to do his job. EZ reminds him that he once was chief of police. Ale says that EZ will be going with them. EZ declines the kind offer, but JL says if they have to negotiate with Pedro he will be exchanged for her. EZ can't believe they would do that. JL assures him that he will be protected. EZ wants a gun for protection. JL tells him to behave or the gun will be taken away.

Montse is eating chips or half a chip again and wants to get to know Kevin better. She is happy that he has come into Macario's and Dominga's life. They have longed for a child. She loves them greatly and considers them a part of her family. And now she will consider him like a nephew. She wonders how he's fairing with the couple. He tells her things are great with Dominga but not so much with Macario. She offers him some advice on how to get closer to him. She then talks about her father and how great her relationship was with him.

Victoria and Lauro talk about Rosario. Maria comes up.

Montse and Nadia talk about Kevin. Montse wishes that Rosario was around. Ale called her and said they were going to look for her at a place around the hacienda. He also thinks that it was Pedro who took her there. Nadia says they will find her. Montse is scared. If anything happened to Rosario....Up walks up Esme with baby and Eric in tow. She introduces Eric to the ladies. She tells the ladies that he is a great singer and he says he sang the other day and would like to do the same. Of course replies Montse so he starts up.

Lauro says he's not allowed to talk to strangers. Maria ignores his comment and says she's known his dad since they were kids. Maria looks to Victoria and asks if she is the daughter of Pedro Medina. Victoria says that man is not her father. Maria tells them that she and Ale would play as kids, ride horses, swim in the river and they fell in love. Lauro pushes Victoria behind him and says it's not true. My dad only loves my mom. Maria says he should have been hers. I would have done anything if you were born from me. Victor runs up and asks what she is doing there. Nothing replies Maria. I came to meet Ale's son. She tells Laurito to give him a kiss from her and that they will be getting together soon. Nice to meet you Victoria she throws out.

Ale, EZ and JL are sneaking up on the supposed house where Pedro has Rosario hidden. JL reminds Ale that this is the location that he once saved his life. EZ believes that Ale's mother is here. Ale grabs EZ by the collar and says you better hope she is. EZ points his gun at Ale's belly and says to let him go. JL points his gun at EZ's head and demands the gun back He tells Ale to control himself. EZ wants the gun back but JL says it ain't going to happen. JL wants to separate to find Rosario and Ale agrees. EZ goes with JL.

Rosario is praying when she hears a gunshot. Ale rushes in. He only injured the guy outside and wants to make sure that no one else is coming. He goes back outside again.

Pedro pays a lovely visit to his ex-wife. I know how much you have missed me and now I am back with you again. She tries to hide her fear and repulsion. He kisses her. What do you think? I'm just surprised replies Amelia. I hope what you told me last time was not a lie replies Pedro. If you are not at my side, idiot, I will have to destroy you. She kisses him and tries to reassure him that she is at his side. I have missed you so much.

The door opens and Rosario calls out Ale's name only to turn around and find la loca Maria.

Outside, EZ tells JL that he hopes that once they find Rosario he will honor his word and let him go. I'm not like you replies JL. I am a man of my word. Footsteps are heard which spooks EZ. He asks JL to be quiet and demands his gun back. JL wants to know what he promised Pedro in exchange for his freedom. I'll tell you when the time comes replies EZ. JL turns around when he hears a sound and EZ takes the opportunity to kick him and take the gun from him. He makes him kneel down and points the gun to his head. He says drop your gun and turn around. Look me in the eyes. Do you want to know what I promised Pedro in exchange for my freedom? To kill you. He smiles his evil smile and looks up. A shot is fired and EZ is hit in the heart. He goes down. It was Ale who saved JL's life and makes a point of saying this.

Maria tells Rosario to stay calm. Nothing will happen to her or Ale while she is around. Perhaps JL is dead. I followed them all the way out here. I wanted to help Ale in everything. I don't care in risking my life to save yours. I know how much you mean to your son. And where is Montse? Sitting down calmly, waiting for news. She will never love your son like I do. I hope you finally will begin to realize that. Rosario tells her not to get any closer as Maria starts walking towards her. Maria wants to know how her son could accept Montse after she became pregnant by JL? Ale loves that child as if she were his own says Rosario. It's not his and I don't understand replies Maria. Everyday that child is a reminder of how that slut slept with JL. Open your eyes! Your son can't be happy with Montse, not as long as that child is alive. You don't know my son yells Rosario. Of course I do shouts Maria and better than anyone! Soon, no one and nothing will separate me from him. A man with a gun comes up from behind Rosario and Maria sees this. She pulls out her gun and fires. She shoots the bad guy. Maria says that guy was going to kill you. Explain to your son what was just about to happen. Tell him thanks to me, you are okay.

Ale picks up EZ's gun and tells JL they need to go before Pedro's men find them. He found his mother and he needs to go get her. JL thanks Ale for saving his life.

Ale and JL come get Rosario and Ale wonders what happened.

Laurito wants to call his father. Victor assures him his dad will be back shortly. Nadia sends the kids off to change into pj's. Montse is anxious for news. Vic wants to tell the ladies what happened earlier today at school. He says when he arrived, Maria was talking to the kids.

Amelia is giving Pedro a massage. She comments that he is too tense. Of course says Pedro. I have the navy and the police after me. She says she was hurt in hearing about the shooting. He calls her an idiot. How do you think it hurt more? I was the one that got shot. Who helped you escape asks Amelia. Pedro tells her it's none of her business. He needs a place to hide out. She says her place is not secure but he can stay the night. She offers him her hacienda as a hide-out. He asks if she will go with him. He needs someone to cook for him and take care of him. Of course replies Amelia. This will make me just as happy as when we were married. She starts kissing him when she spots Virginia walking in. She gestures for her to leave which she does quietly. His phone rings and Amelia asks him what happened. He tells her not to be so noisy. She offers to make him some dinner.

Josefina tells Adolfo how bad she feels for Carlota. He tells her not to worry so much. You will see how Carlota will pick up the pieces and carry on. Josefina doesn't think it's that easy. She fell in love with a man who she admired, thought was wonderful and honest. Suddenly she finds out that she was married to a criminal. An assassin. The man she loved who's hands where stained with blood. Who knows how many people he has killed. Adolfo doesn't want to talk about it. He doesn't like to see her sad.

Dim wants to know where they took EZ. He is anxious to talk to him. Refugio tells him to take a chill pill and drink his beer. JL knows what he's doing. Doorbell rings and it's JL. Dim greets him sarcastically and wants to know if he wants coffee. Dim wants to know why JL did not talk to him. JL says for your information, Ale and I were looking for Rosario and found her. Refugio wants to know if Ale is find. Everyone is fine replies JL. Dim wants to know where EZ is. He needs to talk to him. Dead replies JL. Dim can't believe it and starts throwing furniture. JL promises they will find el Alacran.

Rosario is safe and sound in the arms of her family. Montse thanks Ale for bringing Rosario back. Ale acknowledges that this wouldn't have happened without JL's help. EZ was about to kill him. Is he hurt asks Montse? No says Ale. Montse is glad everyone is okay. Laurito runs into Rosario's arms.

Manana: Maria goes after Montse again.
