Caray, Caray!

• Carmela told Mike she'd try to talk Lupita around, and she's good to her word...
  
  ... but first Lupita has to faint, then tell everybody she's fine and she'll get checked out later. Chuy is worried. Perla says thoughtfully, "and she isn't even taking anything... uh, vitamins I mean" ...
  ... after Lupita recovers from her faint and (instead of resting) is ironing Emiliano's trousers, Carm comes and says she believes Mike's story because "he doesn't have he eyes of a liar." Lupe reminds her he was caught in flagrante, naked in bed with the blond, clothes strewn everywhere. Carm thinks he could have actually been drugged. "How could they have gotten him into bed?" "Minerva and Alejo are capable of anything. They want the same thing: she wants MA for herself and Alejo wants to marry you. Don't be so innocent. At least talk to him. What have you got to lose?"
  
  
• Saul visits Wilma in jail and offers to be her lawyer. "What would I have to do in exchange?" "Tell the truth." She says it's a trick and "I can defend myself better than you can do it. Or I'll get a lawyer of my own stature."
  
  
• Tizoc, now Tay, is intoxicated by his new super-star possibilities to the point of becoming cretinous. He tells "Charlie" and company: I want to dress great, like a hipster. They want him to be more "fashion, New York."
  
  A guy comes in with a contract and Tizoc signs without looking at it when the guy says "In Charlie's hands you'll make millions!" Smirks.
  
  Charlie calls Alejo to say the deal is done. "You're a prince, Charlie." "Thanks Dad." ?? Is Charlie really Alejo's son?
  
  Tizoc crows to Frida about his millions. "What did the contract say?" she astutely asks. "Uh, ... legal stuff." "You didn't read it??!!!" "Charlie is fair! We'll buy a huge house." Frida is disgusted, she can't believe he was such an idiot.
  
  Cheering up, she says: "My schoolmates liked your song. But I don't like your new image." "I'll be able to be myself again later. In the mean time, I'll be able to have anything I want." "Is stuff all that matters to you?" Frida gets faint. Tizoc tells her "You're the only girl I want to be with."
  
  
• Mike visits Nepo. Trofeo is very friendly, Nepo not so much. "I hear you're still poor, I hope you're not here asking for work again." "No, I want to pay you back for when you paid for my grandmother's doctor appointment. And I want to thank you."
  
  Nepo returns the money to Mike. "Sorry I called you a delinquent and sicced the police on you." "You're forgiven." "I want to share with you the money we've been making on the juice." "No, instead let's be associates again." Why not? Nepo agrees. "We won't be friends, though."
  
  
• Emi calls his dad, who reminds him "I'll marry your mom soon." "At my party there will be treats for everybody, right? Chido!" "Don't be a vulgar naco, don't say chido. OK, behave well." After hanging up Emiliano muses: "I told him to behave well, he should actually do the opposite."
  
  
• Continuing the previous discussion, Mike tells Saul he wants to help his family a little, he won't lie to them for long, he just wants them to learn what really matters. Saul worries: when they find out you were lying they will be mad.
  
  
• Mike calls a family conference and suggests they all go into the juice business together. "So we will fall even lower?" gripes Ana Sofia. Mike suggests Frida could study and also work. "I don't have to do that, I'm not a single mother!" (yet) Mike is offended and she apologizes to the sky, to all the single mothers of the world. Leo says he is an artist, and besides, he can't work for that homophobic Nepo. "You won't be working for him, you'll be working for me." Mike presses harder: "The best things in life are gotten with - " "Money?" guesses Leo. "No! Hard work!"
  
  
• Carela and Chuy visit Doni Mati, now in red satin PJs in bed at Tomas's house and looking happy. She doesn't want her family to know she's here until she's fully recuperated.. She beams at Chuy and Carm: "I'm glad to see the two of you together, you make a nice pair." But Carm is cross with Chuy for some reason.
  
  
• Leo and Frida get enthusiastic about the juice plan. Mike implores: "Mom, join us!" "I have enough to do with my charity works. And by the way, can't you get us back our immense fortune?" He says it's gone, he uses his Italian accent to convince her. She says her kids are getting even more Menchacified.
  
  When Mike leaves "To see my great people of the Nopalera," Ana scolds the others: "Leo, I wanted you to be an international artist and you, Frida, to be at least well married. Now you'll be ordinary juice makers." Leo and Frida feel excited about making back some of their lost fortune. Maybe there will be a chain of RuizPalacios juice stands!
  
  
• Diego calls and Leo wants to go out and see him but Ana suddenly announces she's desperate for something to drink and needs him. Leo caves and hangs up on Diego
  
  
• Leo is imagining upgrading the juice stands with Broadway typography when Nepo stumps in. He's annoyed to see Leo and calls him 'princeso.' "Mike, you and I coming to terms is one thing but HE is another." "He didn't cause anything. He's with me." Frida talks about gay liberation which doesn't help. Leo: "I am the victim of machismo." Nepo: "I lost my son." "King of Bananas [all bow and curtsy] your son is great, you're the one with a problem. Respect him, help him, don't turn your back on him." Leo leaves having gotten this fine last word.
  
  
• Mike goes to try and talk Nepo around and also discuss expanding the juice biz. (Trofeo wants to utilize aphrodisiac fruit.) Nepo admits Mike has "vision" and likes his ideas - maybe there will even be a factory! - but grumbles about Leo. "You need to learn to separate personal matters from business matters," Mike points out, "and Leo is not the only princeso, Diego is one too."
  
  
• Saul sidles into Wendy's parlor and they flirt and make suggestive remarks. Saul invites her on a date.
  
  
• Alejo has had his garden decorated with balloons etc. for Emiliano's birthday party. Minerva mocks the nacqueria he has created and asks what it's doing in her garden. "Tarantula, until I sign, the house is mine." "Ugh, you and your serpent bastard." "You're talking about my future heir."
  
  Lupe and Emiliano arrive and Emi throws himself into Alejo's arms. Alejo takes him off to get dressed in his new "special clothes." And here comes Emi dressed in a biz suit just like his dad, with a tie even! Lupita is disgusted: "He's a child." "He's almost an adolescent."
  
  Emi's friends from the old neighborhood arrive and are impressed with everything. Emi boasts his suit is from the United States, that's where the best clothes are. Some other kids show up, Emi explains condescendingly to the old friends, "These are the kids of very important people my father knows."
  
  The new kids show off their tablets and smartphones and start playing a game. "You poor kids don't have them, so you can't play with us." Emi tells his old friends they are losers. "My dad will move me to a better school. So you guys, clear out!" All leave. Emi wants one of them, his best friend, to stay, but he doesn't.
  
  
• Saul comes to the cave of Sumatra looking for Mike but finds Ana Sofia. She corrals him and begs him to say it will be possible to get their money back, she doesn't want to live in this smelly pigsty any more. Saul quotes obscure invented laws to her and escapes.
  
  He tells Mike he's worried: "Your mom could investigate and find out." "She won't lift a finger." "When it's about money she could do anything." Mike says all will be well. That's how we know it won't.
  
  
• Emiliano is a little taken aback that his one actual friend is leaving: "I wanted the others to go, not you." But it's one for all.
  
  Alejo asks if Emi enjoys "the taste of vengeance." "But my best friend left, too." Alejo: "Learn that he who has more money has more power and is at the top. They treated you badly before, now that you have more stuff, they treat you better, and that's life."
  
  "Why did your friends leave so soon?" asks Lupe. Alejo says those guys were groseros who'd mocked and bullied Emi. "Why didn't you tell me, Emiliano?" "He didn't want to worry you. Anyway, starting Monday I'm putting him in a new school that isn't full of bad smelling people." Lupe says they're leaving. Alejo consoles Emiliano: "When we live together we'll never have to say goodbye."
  
  
• Minerva confronts Lupe and baits her (doesn't she remember how that ended last time?). Lupe says, "I wish you all the best with Mike, anyway he's poor and isn't going to get his money back." Minerva (and then her mother): dumbfounded. The idea of her beloved Mike staying poor makes Minerva bust a lot of balloons.
  
  
• Tizoc visits Frida when she's working at the juice store. "When I have my millions," he boasts, "you won't have to work." She cheerfully and proudly says: "I want to be independent, I want to learn about proletarian life." She asks if he'll take her to school. He says no, he would be overwhelmed and suffocated by his enthusiastic fans.
  
  
• Nepo shops for jewelry but when the vendor guesses it would be for Wendy, he leaves without buying anything.
  
  
• Revolted by the scene at Alejo's, Lupe hauls Emi home where the Menchacas are astounded by his outfit. "He looks like a candy prince." "You're dolled up like a little licenciado," exclaims Chuy, equating it with his own former glorious outfits. Emi says: "I no longer want to be a luchador. It's work for poor people. I am no loser." They all stare at him.
