EN OTRA PIEL – LUNES – Part 1
At the police station Gerardo lies to Mondriana again. He says he’s just there because Ernesto was a valued employee. She is very cold toward him. He says he knows she’s upset about the pregnancy [ya think?], but let him explain.
Diego has brought Emiliana to Selma’s. She’s very upset. Diego tells her that Ricardo is a suspect because both he and Ernesto were interested in Camila. Eileen arrives in the middle of this and is very shocked to hear what happened with Ricardo.
We get a disgusting scene with Susana sucking up to Elena. Elena promises her a makeover and some new clothes. She wants her to continue to be her eyes and ears in the house.
Rodrigo again refuses Camila’s help with what’s going on with Ricardo. Poor Camila doesn’t understand his hostility.
Gah! Ricardo, who should know better, submits to a long interrogation by the cop with no attorney present. The cop keeps trying to trap Ricardo into revealing something.
Gerardo swears to Mondriana that Elena is NOT pregnant with his child. [And he knows this because….? He’s sterile? They used condoms every time? He fed Elena a birth control pill every night?] What he says to Mondriana makes no sense at all. Mondriana doesn’t believe him and makes things a lot worse for him by asking why he didn’t pipe right up when Elena said she was expecting his child and deny it?
OK, I’m officially not calling Cami Sourpuss any more. She’s made me totally on her side with her concern about Ricardo. She asks Diego why Rod and Gabe are behaving the way they are toward her. She’s so hurt. Rod at first refuses to tell Marta why he’s angry with Camila, but finally does so.
At the pensión Jennifer tells Gabe about what happened with Valeria and the guy who approached her [Chihuahua]. Jennifer freaks out. She wants to leave right away; she’s worried about the Perros gang. Gabriel makes a big mistake and tells her that the issue is about the undocumented girls they’re targeting, not about Jennifer.
Cami again begs Diego to tell her what’s up. Mondriana comes in, and Diego gets to see how motherly she is with Cami. Cami sobs in her arms. Diego looks thoughtful.
Cami tells Mondriana that Ricardo’s problems are her fault! She says that she sided with Elena when she accused Gabriel of accosting her in her room. And she also sided with Elena over the check. She says that, if only Ricardo had fallen for Eileen, he would not have any of these problems. At the end of this Cami says something that is music to Mondriana’s ears. She tells her she understands why Emi is so close to her and thanks her for her comfort. Jorge and Tomás arrive, and Jorge doesn’t look very pleased to see how much Camila is depending on Mondriana.
The cops get a search warrant for Rodrigo’s house. Of course they find the pictures of Cami in Ernesto’s bed.
Elena shows up in an awful green one-piece thing emitting “mi amors” all over the place. Like most narcissists, she just doesn’t know how for it not to be all about her. Gerardo tells her that his brother was just killed and to respect his grief. So that everyone can hear her, she coos that he comforted her when her auntie died. Mondriana walks by with a look of abject disgust on her face.

EN OTRA PIEL – LUNES – Part 2
Gerardo asks Mondriana to meet him at the Lake House. She arrives and rattles on about how they shouldn’t see each other any more because of the pregnancy. He tells her he’s come to tell her the truth about why he was so tied to Elena. He says he doesn’t want another day to go by without her knowing. He says that Mondriana had asked him if Elena was capable of murder. He says he told her she was not, but he lied. “Elena killed my wife!”
Mondriana tells him that he hasn’t done a single thing about denouncing her for the murder. He says that Elena has no scruples and that she's dangerous. Mondriana snarls at him: “You told me how much you loved your wife, and now you’re going to have a child with the woman who killed her?” Gerardo responds that Elena always manipulated him. Mondri says that if Elena has him under such tight control, then he must have done things just as bad.
Elena tries it on with Emiliana and Camila at Casa Serrano. She’s all tear filled eyes, saying she wants to help get Ricardo off. Emi takes the lead. She tells her that she fooled them the whole time pretending she was not involved with Gerardo, and surely she’s acting right now!
Rick tells Tomás that the photos the cops found arrived at his house with Ernesto’s address written on the envelope. Tomás asks why he didn’t call the police when he found Ernesto dead, and Rick replies that he panicked.
Back to the Lake House, Mondriana goes right after Gerardo. She tells him to admit that he was the accomplice of Elena in killing Mónica Serrano. He lies and says he found out much later that she’d killed her aunt.
He finally starts to tell the whole story. He says that Elena introduced him to her aunt with the express purpose of his seducing her. He says that the plan was to marry her and, a year later, divorce her to get half of her fortune. [What? California law does NOT work this way; you keep what you bring into a marriage and only gains that are made DURING the marriage are community property.] Mondriana says that probably they thought it was better to kill her and get the whole thing.
Gerardo tells Mondriana that Elena didn’t only kill Mónica for the money. He says she killed her because she realized he’d fallen in love with his wife. Elena killed Mónica because she was jealous and realized he’d never leave Mónica. He says that sometimes he thinks that if he hadn’t fallen in love with MS, she’d still be alive. This seems to get through to Mondriana. Looks like she believes him from her expression at least.
More Susana nastiness. Jennifer is back at Casa Serrano. She tells Susana about the kidnappings of the girls, and Susana basically asks her why anyone cares. [Oh, please! Lots of anvils for Susana and don’t make me wait too long.]
Marta is very skeptical about the photos. She tells Rodrigo she doesn’t believe Camila would betray Ricardo like that.
Elena tries on the waterworks in front of Emiliana and Camila. “How can I prove to you that I care about you both and about Ricardo?” Emi: “Give us back our house and leave here with Gerardo so we don’t have to see your face again!”
Mondriana tells Gerardo that, if he wants her to believe him, he should go to the police. He should not be afraid. He should make her pay for all her crimes. [Yeah, like that’s gonna happen!]

Wonderful recap, Novelera! I found myself distracted while watching the novela, and your recap clears up several things I missed. And I was interested in what you said about California law not working the way Gerardo claims their plan would have required. Good point! I also agree with your request about lots of anvils for Susana ASAP. Since Telemundo hasn't given us any indication that we're close to the end, I fear the anvils will take a while. Sigh.

Monica doesn't seem to have any reservations tearing into Geraldo in these remote locations, why is she so certain he won't just turn on her and kill her?
and Geraldo always seems like the nice guy, he's good, I was glad that Monica asked him to turn himself in, this will never happen, I think Monica stll loves the Geraldo she married as she keeps fighting the truth.
and I think Diego is finally starting to get it.
I think the only way to clear Ricardo is to find the real killer, and nailing Carlos for this is a bit unlikely, even Geraldo hasn't considered it, and he is the only one that could make the connection.
Cami is going to be really crushed when she sees the pics.

Pantaleon is just about to talk. So AC takes aim through his high powered scope, and kills him. Then AC aims at Tijeras and fires. Tostao happens to walk in front of Tijeras, and he gets hit, seemingly in the shoulder, but later conversations indicate he might have been killed. Tijeras is okay, and his guys try to shoot AC and Macario in the forest, but they all get away (they didn't have enough men or ammo to do more than the sniper fire they did).
Since Ignacio turned him down, Santiago hires a new lawyer to defend Ximena - Max! Santi approaches Xime and says I have two announcements. First, I have a new lawyer to help you out. Second, let's set the wedding date. You see, I trust you totally. This woman Leonor said you were working to protect the Casillas's, and that's not true, right? Xime takes a deep breath and says, it IS true. And Aurelio is ALIVE! You still want to marry me?
Pedro has decided to openly back Leonor, she has full police powers, he tells his staff, and she can choose some local cops to work with her. She chooses Ana Sofia and Elena, two cops who have good investigative and self defense skills.
Victor is brought home from the hospital. Ernie says since I now work for Chacorta, I now work for YOU. Vic says okay, take me to the brothel. He doesn't want to do anything, but he tells the hooker who he had been with, Isabel, that he wants to be friends with her.
Padre Lazaro apologizes to Ximena for failing in bringing up Ernie. Xime says that's okay, at least he broke up with Rutila. Wrong! They have a secret love nest, I think somewhere in the church!
Antonio tells Mati that he knows who she is, he wants to do business. He loves money. Mati tells him that's great, but they're not working with the Casillas family, it's another group (Chema). Chema had sent Bigotes, who somehow was released from jail for this, to remind Mati. Chema's living like a king in the prison. He's got some secret plan, and later we find that AC also has some secret plan.
Now that Monica isn't pregnant, she's smoking, drinking, and ready for business.
AC arrives in Spain, is introduces to Helga (Inaki's girlfriend, who's been sleeping with Bert) and Inaki. He tries to get it on with Lai, who so far says since she knows he'll never drop Monica and marry her, she won't have sex with him. But AC's still trying. The money laundering is going great, AC has new supplies from Venezuela and General Montoya, everything's going super.
There is another glimmer of hope for the good guys. Colonel Ramos, having been replaced by Antonio, is now a civilian, and he wants to work for Leo. She says yes.
AC's Cuban contact, Lilo has found a double for AC, named Danilo Ferro. This guy looks like AC, but seems to be a rich rancher who wants to keep his life private. How can AC take over this guy's identity? Stay tuned.

Fun Fact: Carmen Villalobos (Leonor) And Sebastian Caicedo (Tostao) are in a relationship. Theyve been dating for 5 years. Im thinking Carmen asked the CIELOS producers to give her man a role.

Great recap, Novelera. I have to admit I'm loving Emi's spunk and how she calls Elena out every chance she gets. Elena's face dropped when she said Elena wasn't sincere and was probably just acting (which of course she was). That could also bring trouble her way which is why Mondriana is constantly trying to keep her girls quiet.
The writers are toying with us with Ernest's murder. Cami still doesn't know about the photos and Ricardo's only incriminating himself by not telling the truth and waiting for the police to discover the evidence. I'm sure if Gerardo knew about the photos he would suspect that Elena requested them...especially if believes Cami that nothing consensual happened. And after being beaten, suspecting Elena and still rejecting her, he's not the least bit suspicious of a death in his (new) home.
So I'm guessing at least 2 more months for this novela.

Raul Méndez, Chacorta, is a fantastic actor. His scene with Victor was spot on. Hope to see him in sth where he is not such a vile murderer.

Chacorta has told Pepe he wants Irma to be the STAR of the telenovela she's in. Pepe is resistant, the public loves the current lead, but Chacorta is insistent. He has told Irma to spy of Pepe, and if she finds something, they'll be able to get back that compromising photo he has of Irma.
Mati would love to go to Spain, but Chema tells her she has to go to Chacorta's place and keep tabs on him, so she does. She's there when Chacorta comes in with Irma on his arm, and introduces her as his future wife! Mati isn't amused, but Alba is all agog, because she watches the telenovela that Irma's in, just think, a star in their house!
I guess Vic wants to be MORE than friends with Isabel, as they have sex. His legs are also getting better, he can now walk with crutches as opposed to a wheelchair.
AC has ordered that every photo, every news clipping of him has to be destroyed. Nowadays with the internet I doubt that would be possible, but this show is in the 90's, so maybe. He wants Aurelio Casillas to disappear. He's now going to be Danilo Ferro. But what will the real Danilo Ferro think?
Tijeras is doing pretty good drug business in Medellin, Colombia, but Andrews tells him to come to Mexico, it's time to bust Chema out of prison. Tijeras isn't too keen on this, but Andrews says with Tostao dead, you need all the friends you can get.
Elsa is now the mayor, I think. Andrews tells her she has to somehow cooperate so Chema can get out, pointing out how much Chema has helped her.
In Spain, Roberto Tapia has finally figured out these guys are all druglords, and he's pissed! Inaki hears Lai telling AC on the phone she wants to sleep with him, and he's pissed, isn't he enough for Lai? One day I bet Monica will catch AC with Lai, and someone will get hurt (again).
Leo tells Pedro, Vicky and Ignacio she's going to have Ximena arrested, sort of as bait. That'll bring the Casillas's out, and she's also going after Chema's group. The chances this will actually work are not great, if you ask me.

Santiago gives Ximena the good news, he has a new lawyer (Max) who says they should be able to clear her name after getting it approved by the US authorities. He doesn't know Ignacio is going to fight this. Santi also agrees to set the date for the wedding. Apparently he isn't bothered by Xime's continuing ties to the druglords. But then there's a knock on the door, and sure enough, Ximena has been summoned for a hearing against her. Uh oh!
Chacorta has told Pepe he wants Irma to be the STAR of the telenovela she's in. Pepe is resistant, the public loves the current lead, but Chacorta is insistent. He has told Irma to spy of Pepe, and if she finds something, they'll be able to get back that compromising photo he has of Irma.
Mati would love to go to Spain, but Chema tells her she has to go to Chacorta's place and keep tabs on him, so she does. She's there when Chacorta comes in with Irma on his arm, and introduces her as his future wife! Mati isn't amused, but Alba is all agog, because she watches the telenovela that Irma's in, just think, a star in their house!
I guess Vic wants to be MORE than friends with Isabel, as they have sex. His legs are also getting better, he can now walk with crutches as opposed to a wheelchair.
AC has ordered that every photo, every news clipping of him has to be destroyed. Nowadays with the internet I doubt that would be possible, but this show is in the 90's, so maybe. He wants Aurelio Casillas to disappear. He's now going to be Danilo Ferro. But what will the real Danilo Ferro think?
Tijeras is doing pretty good drug business in Medellin, Colombia, but Andrews tells him to come to Mexico, it's time to bust Chema out of prison. Tijeras isn't too keen on this, but Andrews says with Tostao dead, you need all the friends you can get.
Elsa is now the mayor, I think. Andrews tells her she has to somehow cooperate so Chema can get out, pointing out how much Chema has helped her.
In Spain, Roberto Tapia has finally figured out these guys are all druglords, and he's pissed! Inaki hears Lai telling AC on the phone she wants to sleep with him, and he's pissed, isn't he enough for Lai? One day I bet Monica will catch AC with Lai, and someone will get hurt (again).
Leo tells Pedro, Vicky and Ignacio she's going to have Ximena arrested, sort of as bait. That'll bring the Casillas's out, and she's also going after Chema's group. The chances this will actually work are not great, if you ask me.

Not a whole lot happened. Ricardo's still in the slammer. They didn't even move along enough to tell us if he's getting released on bail pending...something. With TN justice, you never know. Sometimes they go straight to a trial with blinding speed.
The cop, who is a typical TN cop, has the sensibility of Inspector Javert in Les Miserables. After grilling Ricardo without anyone advising him of his rights, he goes at Camila and eventually shows her the photos of her taken by Ernesto. I'm going to be royally PO'ed if she doesn't realize pretty darn soon that she was drugged. If she goes with guilt for drinking so much she forgot having sex with Ernesto, that's just ridiculous.
I can't tell where the writers are going with Elena. She's even pleasant to her mother. It seems like they're making her sincere about wanting the slate wiped clean and for everyone to be one big happy family.
Finally, Gerardo figured out it was probably she who arranged Ernesto's murder.
And, some doctor who may or may not have been bribed announces that the rabbit died, much to Gerardo's chagrin. So, where are the writers going with this?

The police have no evidence that Ricardo killed Ernesto. They have motive but that's not really enough. Now if Raul were to plant the murder weapon on Ricardo, that might be a different matter. I just hope Ricardo doesn't end up going through the usual prison brutality scenes. I just hate those.
Is Elena really pregnant? I suspect not. I thought I saw a little glance with the doctor but she could be and I agree with your possible outcomes. She could have a miscarriage that only Lorena knows about adding to Lorena's burden of guilty knowledge.

I kinda chuckled to myself at how happy Elena looked when the doc announced her pregnancy. She's just so out of touch when it suits her. She hasn't figured out that this doesn't mean Gerardo has to marry her (except it's a novela so maybe it does). I'm still hoping for another soul switch so that Monelena can raise the child, because no way should Lorena be allowed to raise this child. She knows what her daughter did and still acts like her having a child is a good thing. Lorena is a terrible mother, even sober.

Thanks, Novelera. If my memory serves me correctly Cami suspected that Ernesto was guilty of 'something' after he implied that they were intimate. I seem to recall her asking him repeatedly why he offered her the wine. So, if an investigation proves that the photos were not photshopped, she (and others) should quickly realize that she was drugged. And I think if Gerardo is every privy to this information (drugging Cami/nude photos), he will once suspect Elena.
I agree with Jean that a home pregnancy test would have been more conclusive. He already mentioned that she forged evidence in the past so I'm not sure why he would trust a person (MD) that could be paid off.
Kudos again to Emi for being honest with Lorena. I'm still not sure if Elena will make her pay for it (Carlos)...especially since she's been so vocal about not being 'treated like a child'.

Camila tells Mondriana about the photos. Sad everyone.
Selma runs into Lorena at the mansion, and puts her in her place regarding her responsibility to Emiliana and her defense of Elena. Lorena keeps defending Elena, but Selma snarks about this. Lorena wants to know why. She has her own daughter after all. Selma reminds her she is also Emi’s guardian and how can she do that and still defend her hussy of a daughter. She wants Lorena not to make a mistake. If Eileen did something wrong, Selma would make her face her mistakes. Or something to that effect.
The baby doc wants to do an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. Ger walks away. He is so not interested. Elena wanders around and sees an ultrasound that someone left out. She smirks. Soooo….not pregnant?
Anselmo tells Maite not to go out without his permission. His intentions are good but his execution doesn’t go over well with Maite. She lets him have with words too fast for me to write down or even read. But she made it very clear that he is a Cromagnon and a troglodyte. Cave man. Then she kicks him out. Maite’s the best.
Cami fills in Mondri with the rest of the story. She replays the night in her head and says she doesn’t remember what happened after the glass of wine. Mondri thinks it’s crap that she lost control and did anything with Ernie, but Cami isn’t sure. Still no one mentions roofies. Mo tries to convince her that she is who she is, and she is someone who wouldn’t have cheated on Ricardo. Hugs.
Those %$&^# Carlos and Pachuco talk grossly over one of the secret photos of Cami. I miss what they say but I hate them.

receptionist) talks to Ger about work stuff, but he just wants to be left alone.
FINALLY! Mondri mentions the possibility of Cami being drugged. It’s hard for Cami to believe but it’s the only thing that makes sense. But she can’t possibly prove it.
Chihuahua (ha) tells Rottweiler that he found one of the girls who was handing out the flyers. But he’s not telling. He wants to talk directly to the mero-mero. (please please be an undercover cop).
Carlos and Pachuco are leaving the winery and talking about they have until Wednesday to get the girls. Ger is leaving at the same time and Carlos (sarcastically)givers Ger his sympathy about Ernesto. Ger wants him to shove it. Carlos won’t shut up so Ger slugs him! Good. Carlos cries uncle while on the ground and says this was all his own fault. But when he gets up he holds a knife to Ger’s throat. Ger demands that Carlos kill him, daring him really. Carlos decides to wait for another day.
Lorena asks Vicki to fix Emi’s favorite meal. Vicki tells her that would be hamburger with bacon, so is that really ok with Lorena? Lorena is cool with it if it cheers her up. Elena comes in and they chat, and Lorena mentions Selma’s name. Elena snaps at this and puts her mother down again. Lorena looks as confused as always.

Selma is now with Emi in the guest house. Emi knows the real Elena and wants her gone. Selma tries to tell her that nothing bad lasts forever. Then she goes to get something for her in the kitchen.
Shot of traffic to prove we’re in LA.
Selma has a giant ice cream for Emi, and greet Elena in the kitchen. Elena tells her that Emi isn’t her responsibility and it isn’t Mondri’s decision who watched Emi. She can leave and Elena will take her the ice cream. Selma keeps smiling and cooling says fine, and she leaves. Elena tosses the ice cream in the trash.
Marta talks to Cami and Mondri. She isn’t sure what to think of Cami, but she can’t deal with it until the business with Ric is done. (They are all in the courthouse waiting to see what’s going to happen with his bail). Selma calls Mondri, who is there with Cami, to tell her what’s up with Elena. Selma had to leave Emi alone in the guest house.
Jorge’s lawyer tries to get Ric released on his own recognizance , but don’t think it worked. Ric has to go to jail (prison?) until the lawyer can work something out.
Jennifer is in the kitchen chatting up Vicki, and says she thinks a baby will be good for the household. Vicki doesn’t believe Elena is really pregnant (more foreshadowing?). It’s all theater from Elena. Jen asks why, if Elena is such a problem, does she still work there? Dark cloud over Vicki’s face. Vicki tells her story, that she came across the Rio Grande 30 years ago and found herself working there for the family. “All the things you must have seen”, says Jen. Jen pushes about why Vicki stays. Elena found out about her legal status. She’s a mala persona, and you (Jen) don’t know what she’s capable of.
Elena apparently pulled the ice cream out of the trash and has brought it to Emi. Emi is not impressed and demands that Elena leave. Elena finally puts the ice cream down and goes, while Emi cries and remembers her mother.
Elena is pissed about being rejected by Emi, even though she hates the little escuincle (brat).
Family dinner with Cami, Emi, Mondri, and for some reason, Lorena. Emi is asking why the heck the cops would think Ric had anything to do with Ernie. Mondri makes up some excuse, but syas it’s a mistake. A MISTAKE, she says as she looks right at Cami.
Rott meets with Carlos to tell him the Chihuahua knows where to find the girls but wants to meet his directly. Suspicious Carlos. They finally meet and Carlos kicks out Rott, who is like, “What?!” But he leaves. Chi says he’s ambitious, he wants more responsibility, etc. He’s not interested in being Rott’s slave.
Rod sits down with Diego and Gabe, and blames Cami for everything that is happening. Diego talks love and stuff. Then Diego, bless him, brings up the idea that the photos were faked. You can do that sort of things with computers, you know. People are getting wiser around here. But so far, he doesn’t get anywhere.
Ger wanders into the dining room, and Emi stops mid-story to wish for day when they can have dinner in peace. Ger apologizes and says he’s leaving. Elena comes in and wants to know why Emi is so cruel. Then my stupid antenna fizzes and I miss this part, But it comes back in time for Elena to happily show off the ultrasound pics. Hers? We don’t know. But she looks happy, like this will make a difference. All her personality disorders haven’t made her more aware.

Rod sits down with Diego and Gabe, and blames Cami for everything that is happening. Diego talks love and stuff. Then Diego, bless him, brings up the idea that the photos were faked. You can do that sort of things with computers, you know. People are getting wiser around here. But so far, he doesn’t get anywhere.
Ger wanders into the dining room, and Emi stops mid-story to wish for day when they can have dinner in peace. Ger apologizes and says he’s leaving. Elena comes in and wants to know why Emi is so cruel. Then my stupid antenna fizzes and I miss this part, But it comes back in time for Elena to happily show off the ultrasound pics. Hers? We don’t know. But she looks happy, like this will make a difference. All her personality disorders haven’t made her more aware.

Thanks, Kelly, for the terrific recap. I was somewhat surprised when Gerardo walked away from Carlos with his back turned after punching him. Not smart. I was even more surprised when Ger dared Carlos to kill him. Given their history and the fact that there appeared to be no witnesses, I was surprised that Carlos didn't do it. I guess Carlos knew that there were too many episodes left in the TN for that to happen now.
I too was disgusted by Carlos and Pachuco slobbering over the photo. I suspect that before this TN creeps to an end, we'll have to endure scenes with Camila and/or Mondri in Carlos's clutches. Blech.

Ximena asks Santiago if it is legal for them to arrest her and have her come to a hearing. He's not sure, and calls Max, who is just finishing up sex with Elsa. Max says he'll look into it, but he suspects his son Ignacio is going to be his opponent in court, so it won't be easy.
Vic knows Ruti is still with Ernie, just doesn't want her to get hurt. We later see Ernie sort of stalking Matilde, he must be turned on by her, this is not good.
Leo has two plans to shake things up. The first was to have Ximena arrested (or maybe it's like a grand jury proceeding). Second, she has Gov. Pedro visit Chema in jail. The Gov. tells Chema his privileges are over, he's cutting the extra funds that Elsa Marin apparently okayed. Pedro later meets with Elsa, tells her he's on to her scheme, and won't rest until he proves she's tied to druglords.
While Mati is at Chacorta's house, she does hear about Xime's hearing, and will report that to Chema. Tijeras is grudgingly coming to Mexico to help bust Chema out.
Pedro gives Leo his own gun. Forget regs, he just wants her to be safe. Later, Vicky asks Leo if Leo, Vicky and Ignacio might need more protection, since they're rocking the boat. I'd say...yes.
Roberto Tapia wants out of his tour, since they're all narcos, and there was even an article in the paper, which would ruin his career. Bert calls AC, who says handle it like Turco would have. Bert pulls his gun on Roberto, horrifying Inaki and Lai who move away, says buddy, you're gonna do it the easy way or the hard way. He later tells Roberto that if he goes back to Mexico and doesn't breath a word, he can live.
Monica asks AC why he treats his son and daughter differently. He wants Bert in the business, but Ruti not. Monica adds that Ruti might be more like her father than AC thinks. She, Monica, was brought up in a drug family and ended up tough, and Ruti could be the same.

Yep, that was one disgusting scene with Carlos and El Pachuco looking at Cami's photo. Carlos told EP, after he offered to do it, that it was too soon to kidnap Camila. [Too much time left in the novela is what is really happening.] He did say something about maybe making a photo available to whet the appetite of some Chinese he thought would pay top dollar for Cami. Please, please. HUGE ANVILS for these two degenerates.
Carlos would have loved to kill Gerardo, but he doesn't dare. Elena expressly forbade it and implied she'd call the FBI if Gerardo's hair were even messed up against her wishes.
I also wondered about that ice cream Elena brought Emiliana. She's perfectly capable of poisoning the kid.
Boy, this legal stuff is SO fishy. They have legal dunces at Telemundo. As Jean said, there's absolutely no evidence against Ricardo. Do they even know he went there? I can't remember. He didn't touch anything and left without calling the cops. All they have is motive. And for this the judge denies bail? Plus, what legal proceeding are they keeping him in jail to await. He hasn't been arraigned that we've seen. Oh well, obviously my beanie needs an adjustment.
I can't imagine what Chihuahua is going to say to Carlos if he really is a good guy. He promised the address where the girls who passed out the flyers were living. How can he get out of it?

Regarding the new gang member...if he really is an undercover cop he could certainly set them up...a different location with undercover female cops. I don't see this happening at all though. The novela is so uneventful these days that I'm thinking of other storylines.

We open with another fun dinner at Casa Serrano. Emi and Cami continue their nasty campaign against Gerardo who has come to tell them that he is leaving the house for a while. Elena makes it even more fun by showing up with her ultrasound picture and doing the, “let's all be a happy family” routine. Emi doesn't want to live in the house with a the happy couple of a pregnant Elena and Gerardo. Emi tells her that she is working on getting custody of Emi from Lorena and then they can leave but they'll be back to take back the house and the business that are rightfully theirs. Mondriana tell Cami that her mother would be proud to see her so mature and responsible.
Selma comes to see Jorge to plead with him not to fire Mondriana but he isn't convinced.
Chihuahua has an interview with Raúl and Pachuco about taking on more responsibility in the kidnapping of the girls. He claims to have worked with another gang that was infiltrated by the police and only he escaped. He says that he has that gang's East Coast contacts that can expand Raúl's business. Pachuco doesn't buy it but Raúl is interested especially when Chihuahua says that knows where Valeria lives. Raúl tasks him with snatching Valeria and Maite and especially another friend of theirs, Adriana. [I hope this guy is an undercover policeman, too. At least he is better looking than Rottweiler and doesn't wear the stupid bandanna.]
Gerardo tells Elena that he isn't going to marry her or live with her whether she is pregnant or not. It's over between them. An child isn't going to change their relationship. She leaves. Gerardo looks at the ultrasound. [Wouldn't the ultrasound have the name of the patient on it?]
Vicky tries to comfort Marta who is baking cookies and crying. Cami comes in and tries to explain but Marta says that she is busy and doesn't have time to talk.
Valeria is filling in for a sick waitress at the Malquerida.
Gerardo comes to visit Mondriana. She repeats her demand that he denounce Elena to the police. Gerardo replies that he isn't going to do it because he can't send a woman to prison who might be carrying his child. He says that there is no way to stop Elena. Mondriana replies that he had better find a way or it is over between them.

Cami is about to leave to go see Ricardo when Elena drops a bit of poison. She tells Cami that Mondriana had known about her and Gerardo and had promised to tell Cami and Emi. Naturally, Cami is angry that Mondriana hid this from her.
Ric's lawyer gives him the bad news – the police have sent the photos to an expert and they are genuine. Then Cami comes to see Ric and he tells her that they have nothing to say to one another.
Susana is cleaning in Elena's room and finds a vial of something and a syringe on top shelf of the wardrobe where she keeps all her secret stuff. Later Susana tells Elena that she found the drug and advises Elena not to take those weight loss injections because they can make you appear to be pregnant on a blood test. Ooopsie. So now we know that Elena is not pregnant and how she faked it. Elena tells Susana not to tell anyone about what she saw.
Jennifer tells Diego that Elena threatened to rat out Vicki to Immigration. Diego asks why she would want to do that. Jennifer doesn't know.

I had the same question you asked about the ultrasound--how is it possible that the patient's name is not on it? Or, if Elena cut off the top, that that isn't evident? I doubt she had time to doctor the evidence more thoroughly and print out a new but still convincing copy. [Tighten beanie here]

Alba tells Ruti she knows there's still something between Ruti and Ernie. Ruti says c'mon, why would I have anything to do with one of my uncle's peons? Later, after Alba leaves, and Vic is asleep with pain pills, Ruti has sex with the "peon" on the couch.
Max tells Xime if she wants him to defend her, she has to tell him the truth. She proceeds to tell him the complete opposite. Later, she says to Santiago, I'm not going to say AC is alive, I shouldn't have told him. If I turn in AC, you and I would both be killed. Santi understands, he just needs to get used to this friends of criminals thing.
Matilde is drunk in her brothel. She insists on singing. Everyone boos. She grabs a gun, and SHOOTS a guy! Then she shoots one of the girls on the stairs (I don't think either one dies). Everyone leaves, Garnica takes charge, Mati doesn't think it's any big thing.
Leonor and Pedro have heard about this brothel, that all the bigwigs go to (but of course not Governor Pedro, who is not a sleaze like the others). And there were shots there tonight. Leonor decides to raid it. They get there, and everyone is gone except a still drunk Mati. She insults Leo and laughs at her. But then Pedro strides in, and when Mati insults HIM, he has her arrested for "disrespecting an officer." Hah! They search the place, find no guns, no drugs, but in a secret room, they find all the surveillance tapes that Mati has been collecting!
Chema is upset his privileges are being taken away, and then he gets put in solitary! That's the last straw. He calls Bigotes, tells him KILL the governor. You have 24 hours to do it!

I second Juanita's agreement that the ultrasound would absolutely have the patient's name on it somewhere. Since I love to see Elena suffer, I enjoyed Gerardo telling her that, baby or no baby, he wasn't going to marry her - much less even live with her.
More dragging out of the plot as neither Marta nor Ricardo would give Camila a chance to explain Mondriana's theory that she had to have been drugged by Ernesto.
I got a kick out of your remark that Susana finds the syringe and vial of some substance "where Elena keeps all her secret stuff".
I am grateful that Mondriana saw Carlos and not vice versa. She has a chance to protect herself.
Fingers crossed that Chihuahua is undercover. I don't think any of us want to see Valeria in the clutches of Carlos and El Pachuco ever again. However, the way he drools over the photo of Camila, I have a bad feeling he's going to get his hands on her at some point. At least Camila has more emotional resources to deal with being kidnapped (very briefly and rescued intact, we hope) than does Valeria.

Once again we see Mondriana seeing Ricalde and El Pachucho in the Larrea Wineries garage. Mondri puts a hand over Emi's mouth to keep her quiet and hustles her out of there. I think Mondriana heard Ricalde saying something that indicated he works with Gerardo and Elena.
Elena manipulates Disgusting Susana by promising her Marta's job. She gives her a bracelet or watch, something like that. Later Susana starts to lord it over Jennifer and Vicki, apparently thinking she already has the job.
At the jail Camila tells Ricardo what happened at Ernesto's apartment, and that Mónica believes she was drugged. As usual, Ricardo behaves like a 13 year old and doesn't listen. She ends up telling him she'll do her best to get him off, but it's over between them. [Is this 4 times or 5 that they've said that?]
Gabriel tells Ricardo that he blew it with Camila. Gabe doesn't think she'd betray him like that and suspects Elena is behind it.
Chihuahua (Eduardo) has grabbed up Valeria off the streets. We see several scenes of her trying to get away from him. He finally tells her what we hoped to hear: he's undercover and she's safe.
Chihuahua also tells Valeria that the Perros are working with Ricalde. He wants her to help trap Ricalde.
Mondriana has an emergency meeting with Gerardo who, as always, lies to her. When she tells him about Ricalde, he tells her the stale story about the business being in bad shape and their having to sell Ricalde 30%. Mondriana tells him the guy is a psychopath and Gerardo has to get him out of there.
Gerardo tells Mondriana that Ricalde is primitive but not dangerous [This after Carlos held a knife to his throat 24 hours ago! What a freakin' liar Gerardo is!] Mondriana tells him that, if he doesn't get him out of there, she'll go to the cops and tell them to investigate Larrea Wineries. And she tells him she doesn't care if he and Elena end up in the soup because of it.
Valeria returns safe and sound. She keeps quiet about Chihuahua Eddie, but they all chew her out for worrying them.
Gerardo calls the investigator Ernesto was using to find out about Ricalde.
I had a glitch in my recording.
I did see Elena cooing with her mother about her pregnancy. Sometimes it seems she believes it herself. Then Diego overhears her talking to herself about getting rid of Emi and Cami.
Not sure what happened after that.

As Danilo is chained to a chair, AC brings in Lilo, and tells the horrified Danilo that he has to call all his company managers and tell them that from now on, all of Danilo's companies will get their orders from Lilo. Danilo sees that Lilo was not really a reporter.
Leo and her group are looking at Mati's videos, but decide that they're not enough to hold Mati, so she's released. They do make copies, though.
Lai has come back to Mexico to help Mati (since she's out of control with her drinking). Bert couldn't come, as it's safer for him to stay in Spain. He calls AC, who says what happened? Bert says that he really isn't sure, because Lai was "speaking in Colombian", but something at Matilde's club. So even HE can't understand Lai!
Leo goes back to the club anyway, and Elsa goes there, too. At first, Elsa is sort of defending Mati, but she gets a phone call, and starts criticizing Mati, making Leo suspicious. When Leo and Elsa are alone, Leo says, why do you have this need to bring me down? Could it be that I TURN YOU ON? This may actually be true!
What was that phone call Elsa received? Well, Pedro and his daughter Vicky come out of the government building, talking about increasing security. That's funny, they think, where are our guards in our limo? Up zooms Bigotes, on the back of a motorcycle driven by another guy, and shoots Pedro several times in the chest! Ana Sofia and Elena shoot back, and hit Bigotes in the back! But he gets away.
Bigotes calls Chema, and while writhing in pain, tells him the job is done, but he was shot. Chema's happy, hardly seems to care about his trusted killer. He calls Elsa, says "it's done, the next move is up to you", which was the phone call Elsa got. Pedro is rushed to the hospital. Bigotes is taken to a mansion, put on a pool table, and a private doctor tries to work on saving him.
Leo finds out, feels guilty she wasn't there. She tells Ana Sofia and Elena to search every hospital for the wounded shooter, and when they don't find any victim, she says then check any disgraced or unlicensed doctors. This is their only lead!
In Colombia, Macario tells Monica he wants to expand, they could branch out on their own. Monica says she'll have to ask "Francisco".
AC hears about Ximena's troubles, wants to help, but Xime tells Alba that would make things worse for AC, she's not going to call AC, don't worry, she won't admit he's alive.
Irma is outraged at Chacorta, knows he had the leading lady killed, sort of wants nothing to do with him. Chacorta shoots back that he "did it for love", and this seems to soften her a bit. What?! She later tells Pepe that she'll smile and take the new role on one condition- give her the naked photos! He does (but could he have copies?)
Elsa has a press conference in which she says she'll come down hard on druglords. Ignacio publicly accuses her of profiting from this, since she's next in line for governor.
In the hospital, Pedro is fading, Vicky is by his side. He tells her, I love you, then adds, whatever you do, don't follow in my footsteps. Go to Switzerland! He then dies, and you just KNOW Switzerland is NOT on her itinerary!

There was definitely a little chemistry between Valeria & Ed. Now if Maite keeps the secret and Ed's cover isn't blown, the once sad Valeria would have a happy ending.

There was definitely a little chemistry between Valeria & Ed. Now if Maite keeps the secret and Ed's cover isn't blown, the once sad Valeria would have a happy ending.

I find it amazing how ruthless AC can be (like killing Danilo's right hand man), and then in the next scene he and Chacorta are laughing over a great dinner. Super acting!
Is Danilo's ranch in the same jurisdiction as the Governor who was just killed?

Linda, you are correct. Jalisco is the same state in which the Casillas are and the Governor was shot at.
That's why the Casillas were highly concerned that this killing was going to affect their plan of operating from Jalisco since things are hot there now.
