Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #15: 9/5/14: Pato's Master Plan is Revealed
Hola Amiguis! We get an inkling of Pato's Plan, Greta is pithed, Irkme has had it, and Chava and Sofia get closer. Do you want to know more? Read on to get the rest of the story and here is a little earworm Wives and Lovers especially for Irkme.
Shall we begin?
In Bangkok, Thailand, Perlata is playing golf and is talking to Pato back in Mexico. He is under the impression that Pato has gotten rid of Coria the Maestro, and without a Maestro, Ripoll will fold. No more new recipes and that land will soon be in his hands, Bwhhhaaaaa! Peralta tells Pato, he will soon have his Distric Mangnus. Yeah, okay lets go with that or look at this picture. It's Perlata and Pato.

Alexa is in the backseat of that Mercedes and she's staying outside in the backseat for a while. This was her refuge when she was little and she found comfort there. Alexa wants to know what Armando thinks. Well, this will campaign will be in all the TV and Magazines.And besides, Actresses are always selling perfume and shampoo, famous ones at that. This might actually help her career. Alexa finally goes into the house and Greta asks about the limp. Alexa says she is okay and goes upstairs. She is really hobbling and wincing.
Meanwhile, Sofia and Pato are at Ripoll. He tells Sofia about reviving La Chica Ripoll and that Alexa is perfect for it, she is an actress after all. Sofia is worried about Alexa's emotional health. Now Pato is like an octopus with his arms all over Sofia. Tonight he'd like to have an enagement party, just good friends and familia, an intimate affair with champagne. No can do, says Sofia. Seems Sofia is the head of a women's bidnez association and they are meeting this evening. Sofia says toast her and he says he'll miss her, yeah, yeah, sure, sure. You'll see.
Lucas is in jail and he realizes he isn't getting out of this, and puts his personal belongings in a plastic bin. We find out that Lucas is only twenty years old. The Commandante is there and wants him to cooperate. Lucas notices his medallion is missing. It had oregano in the name, I didn't get the rest of it. This medallion is very special to Lucas. Where is it? You'll see.
Chava and Marisol are having a convo and she is not giving up her job. Mattias comes by and Chava tells him about the attempted robbery. Mattias tells him he likes Marisol, but Chava is taking it the wrong way. Chava can't go for that.
Lucas and the Commandante are having a convo, and Lucas says he didn't use a gun. The Commandante warns Lucas if he keeps this up he is going to the joint. Lucas says he works alone, but the Commandante is wise and wants the names of his accomplices.
Chava finds Lucas' medallion in his pocket. He takes a gander at it and realizes this medallion has a story to tell.
Paco and Lupe are having a discussion. Why did he go? Because he wanted his coffee in peace and not at a carnival. Here is another earworm. Por Una Cabeza Lupe tries to show him the steps of the Tango, and he wasn't liking that guy Lupe was dancing with. He's a student. Besides, she says she doesn't owe him an explanting and she flounces off as he rolls his eyes.
Mattias and Silvie are talking about personal relationships at work, as in afterhours. It's okay as long as it doesn't effect the workplace. Mattias tells Silvie he likes her. They are laughing when Pato comes in. Mattias goes and Pato remarks he can't beleive that Silvie puts up with him.
Irkme is having a cow and witching to Lupe about Armando. Lupe asks Irkme if she has never thought of fixing herself up and not wearing the same jeans, be attractive when he gets home. Seems Irkme is insecure. Her phone rings and Lupe tells her to be nice when she answers. Irkme is nice at first and then raises her voice. Lupe is trying to get her to lower her voice. Armando is trying to explain that Alexa is in a fragile state. Irkme asks if Armando has slept with Alexa. He gets ticked off and hangs up on her. She can't beleive it!
Armando and Chava talk about Chava and Sofia crashing that boy's birthday party. Miguelita says it must have been sad for the parents. Armando tells Chava what happened with Irkme and Alexa and that Irkme wants Aramando to quit his job.
Meantime at home, Irkme is waiting for Armando, and Nando says so Papa is till at work. Yes, for that witch. Nando likes Alexa. Irkme doesn't want him to mention that witches name. Nando thinks Alexa is a princess.
Greta is sipping her chocolate and she calls Pato about how it went with Alexa. This job is for Alexa and not for Greta, she hangs up on his impertinant butt.
Sofia and Fausto are having chat, when Dani comes in. Dani says she talked to Miguelita and would Sofia have a job for her grandson. Sofia kind of brushes her off and tells her to talk to Silvana. Dani is mad because she thought Sofia would help her and it's ridiculous that she has to go talk to Silvana. Fausto asks Dani why she wants to help Lucas? Oh, it's not for her, it's for Miguelita because she is worried about him.
Silvana is having champagne when Pato calls her. What's she doin he wants to know. Silvania was aware of Sofia's plan for the evening. Pato tells Silvana the night depends on her.
Sofia is getting ready to go when Alexa comes in. Alexa compliments her on the dress, it's a beautiful pink. Sofia congrats Alexa on reviving La Chica Ripoll and Alexa starts chewing Sofia out. Alexa is thinking this was Sofia's idea, when Sofia has no idea what she is talking about. Alexa seems to think, this is Pato and Sofia's idea to humilate her and Greta. Alexa accuses Sofia of being a Queen and all about the Ripoll and she could care less about anything else. Sofia takes off and Alexa starts having a panic attack and falls on the floor. Armando asks Alexa to take his hands and look into his eyes and to tell him she is okay. Armando puts her in a chair and even Chava comes, and takes her hands and calms her too. Greta is stunned.
Marisol is at home, when that creepy guy from Ripoll comes by, the one that was smelling her hair. He's brought her a new uniform, marked with her name and some Abuelita chocolate too and a hand book for work. Marisol gets him to go and rolls her eyes.
Sofia is crying, she can't understand what the heck just happened. Greta comes and wants an explanation. Sofia informs Greta she had no idea. Greta informs Sofia that the only reason Alexa is taking the job is for economic reasons. Greta wants Sofia to help her, but the ony thing Sofia cares about is the Bidnez. Greta also tells Sofia she know that Sofia is not in love with that ambitious creep, well not that, but ambitious Pato, and if she is marrying him because she is afraid of being alone, it's the wrong reason.
Miguelita is comforting poor Dani because she's run into the kitchen very upset. Miguelita gets a call on her cell and it's Lucas of course, he tell his Grammy he's been arrested and at the police station. Miguelita wants to know which one and did you do it? He hangs up on her and she tells Dani that Lucas is in jail.
Greta is pithed and talks to Fausto. She's mad because she trusted Pato to do this one thing and now he's screwed them over. This was Pato's plan you see, to divide and conquer the sisters. Fausto has sage words of advice, he wants Greta to dig into the past, deep down, to find out the true source of this bad blood between Alexa and Sofia.
Lucas is back in his cell.
Sofia is still crying when Chava knocks on the door and comes in. He gives her his handkerchief and assures her it's clean. Sofia doesn't know how she is going to make this women's bidnez meeting, she is the head of the association. Sofia says now her Mama, Alexa and Dani think she is the enemy. Chava tells her that rich or poor, they all have the same problems and he gives her a hug while thier faces are inches from each other.
Nando comes to Lupe's and he is very upset and Irkme is right behind him. She's got a suitcase and tells Lupe she is leaving Armando and that's that. Here is another earworm Bye, Bye, Bye

I was SOOO mad at Greta last night. It's a miracle Sofia doesn't hate her, if she always so quick to believe that Sofia has done something wrong and to take Alexa's side. Alexa is a big old drama queen. Greta should know Sofia well enough to know that she wouldn't have purposely tried to make Alexa have a crisis. And even if Sofia were the one to come up with the Ripoll Girl campaign revival, what would be wrong with that? It's a J-O-B. A concept Alexa is too unfamiliar with these days. Plus, as Greta knows very well, it was SHE who sent Alexa to Pato and the two of them who came to this agreement, because of Alexa's debt. So, if anyone is to "blame", it's Greta. I think Fausto was trying to tell her she needs to take a hard look at herself if she wants to figure why there's a rift between her oldest daughters.
One correction: Matias is not interested in Marisol. He was telling Chava about the employee coming on to Marisol, and Chava was basically telling Matias that it's his job as Marisol's stand-in big brother at the factory, to keep all the guys away from her. Matias then went to Silvie to see if they could make it an official decree that none of the employees could come on to Marisol. She said that wasn't possible, but she was highly amused, and even more so when he then went on to come on to her. LOL!
Not only was Pato's robe wide open to show his chest, but so was Silvie's shirt when she arrived at his place!

Greta referenced it when she was crIticizing Sofía, I wish they would just tell the viewer already. Was she sexually assaulted? Abused somehow? I felt so sorry for Sofía just trying to do her job and being blamed for upsetting Alexa because she refused to cave in to her monetary demands.
I also do not blame Irma for her anger with Armando in reference with Alexa. My interpretation is that she must see something in Armando when he talks about or is with Alexa that makes her see Alexa as a threat. Alexa needs a psychiatrist not the "comfort" of Armando's shoulder to cry on or him bringing her pie in the car "to sweeten her pain." I wonder if he crawled into the car with his piece of pie. Just wondering where this is going.
Anyway, Chava was so cute telling Sofía his handkerchief was freshly washed and pasteurized. I just love how Sofía calls him Salvador.

I'm watching two novelas and so I just get bit's and pieces of the other two Univision shows but I did happen to catch the two sister fight last night. WOW!!!
Alexa was angry!!! I read that part of the recap. OK, so she got the job. Why so much venom and anger?

Gringo- Dani, the youngest, didn't really take sides. She was just really scared and worried about Alexa, and upset that her sisters were fighting. But in general, I think the rest of the family see Sofia as the no fun, no nonsense disciplinarian in the family. She gets a bad rap for keeping them all rich and living in the lap of luxury.
Can we get some pictures from the TN in the next recap ?

Loving the discussion tonight...I haven't seen such cleavage since Bobby and Pam Ewing back in the days of Dallas. If the Pato/Sil unbuttoned shirts were meant to be sexy, I have to admit it backfired with me. I was laughing my head off.
Such a contrast in relationships -Pato and Sil are (shirts aside) sensual and Chava and Sophia are sweet. While I am firmly rooting for the latter, I am hoping there will be a bit more spark, but they are off to a good start.
While she has had some unsavory relationships and certainly behaved irresponsibly, I am very sympathetic to Alexa, primarily as she has endured a trauma that has left her emotionally devastated. I think her emotional instability would preclude her working at this point. We neeed to see what happened to her.
Steve, Dani is indeed sad at all the bickering. And while Sophia deserves credit for her hard work and keeping the family together, she does seem unyielding and forbidding, especially to Alexa. I wish she would soften her stance somewhat.
Vivi, thanks for the tidbit about Fausto telling Greta to look at herself and her actions. I have no problem with her concern for Alexa, it is deserved. But she could be a little nicer to Sophia.
So, I'm feeling both Greta and Sofia need to lighten up and be a little more supportive of others.
Armando is so handsome. Sigh. Until Eduardo Yanez returns, I think he is a fine replacement ;)

Greta has got some nerve. She took Alexa to Pato behind Sofia's back. And she is the one that knows what happened to Alexa. Sofia is only a little older than Alexa and was a kid herself when whatever happened to Alexa happened; she has no clue about it. Alexa has a right to be artsy and vulnerable, but Sofia has a right to be disciplined and responsible. I give Greta an "F" for her parenting in this episode. She played the blame game with Sofia, and how many panic attacks does Alexa have to have till she takes her to a shrink?
Pato can take his shirt off for me anytime. Julian Gil did a calendar a few years ago and he looks the same to me - hot. As for the kiss, they must've been told to buck wild (to contrast with Chava and Sofia's sweetness) but I can do without that wide open-mouth bass suck face.
Mattias cracks me up, asking for a no-fraternizing rule, then trying to hit on Silvie.

Thanks Vivi---That was some argument. I thought that Alexa might have a heart attack or some medical problem over it. Sofia the older sister looked very hurt

Excellent, Madelaine. I don't know how you do it, but somehow you manage to consistently provide us with an abundance of entertaining and informative recaps without any sacrifice of quality... WOW!
I have to say that I'm enjoying Patricio so far. He's oily, he's sneaky, he's even willing to take credit for the Maestro's natural death... yet he's also bumbling and almost endearing... he's going to need to really step things up to earn my disdain. I think that right now he and Silvie make a rather cute couple.
Since Lucas and Dani have their own musical love theme I suppose that we can expect them to ultimately be a happy couple, but right now I see him as only dangerous and unlikable. Poor Miguelita. Poor Dani. And likely... poor Marisol.

Hi gringo,
I thought that you would be watching this regularly but it's good to see you checking in with it from time to time at least. So far I'm really enjoying Sofía though she was certainly more interesting and seductive as Kendra (AV). While her clothing is appropriate for her position as boss-lady, I prefer dresses and skirts to the pantsuits she seems to prefer. I'm also liking her fondness for Chava and I'm liking the pace at which their relationship is developing.
I'm also very pleased to see and old favorite of mine playing Irma and though her character is a bit peevish I'm finding myself sympathetic with her jealousy of Alexa... it's not completely irrational or misplaced.
Alexa was wearing a different outfit when Armando found her huddled in the backseat of her daddy's car (by the way, isn't that a Rolls instead of a Mercedes?). Did she go in and change and then come back out?

La Malquerida. Although Hasta El Fin does look good, I can't watch them all but I do look in from time to time. I don't have the whole story down with my limited viewing but as I just said, it does look good. Sofia looks like she id doing an excellent job. I hope that the sisters can get along. That was some terrible fight Friday night.

Even if he didn't work for the Ripolls she's find another way to berate him. And buying all that stuff behind his back and not consulting him. I think Armando truly cares about Alexa, not in the romantic sense, but in trying to find out what is wrong with her. He almost treats her as an overgrown child. Oh, thanks about the tidbit about Chava' handerkerchief, I caught the clean part but not the pasteurized part, too cute. I too like the way Sofia calls him Salvador.
