La Malquerida #24: What is Lost Becomes Found And The Accidental Kiss
Hola Amiguis! This recap is mainly from memory, I didn't take any notes, so if I miss anything let me know. Here's the earworm.Bury My Lovely
Shall we begin.
Este and Acacia are off to Cuidad Real to take care of bidnez with that Pieralta guy. When they meet with him he immediately goes off on Acacia, what a jerk, calling her inexperienced and how could Este leave this child in charge of so important a bidnez deal. Este has gives it back to this guy , he tells this Peirata guy that he is talking to the daughter of the duena of the Hacienda and not just a nobody. Acacia wants to go, but Este has her stay. This Peiralta guy is a true putz. His cell phone keeps going off, and he is constantly walking out of this meeting to take the calls. We just know who keeps burning up his phone, it's Norbie of course. Well, Norbie too is unable to fulfill this order, cause he doesn't have that amount of cotton, nor is he able to get it yet. Peiralta is giving Este grief that this cotton is destined for The United States and they are holding his feet to the fire, and he'll have to pay a huge fine. Which will get passed on to Este of course. Este will do what he can.
Stop the hugging of Este, you are driving him mad!
Meanwhile back at the Hacienda Elena and Cris are having a chat. Elena and Cris are talking about children. Este has no children and evidentally Cris is still young enough to have more kids, Hmmmmmm..
Ale is moving more of her things out of German's little art cottage. She asks German if she can take the picture he painted of her with the shawl over her head, Ale leave it there please, take the Sacred Heart of Jesus painting instead. She promises German that they are still novios. She isn't giving up on him. He asks her more about her past. She says she is moving to the Hacienda because they treat her like family, she has been wanting to be part of a family. Ale tells German she feels like Cris is her Mama nad Acacia is like a sister. He gets it. Someday he would like to be a family with her. Well, they make thier way to the Hacienda.
For the love of Pete, leave that Poirat of youself with Geman.
Acacia and Este are at lunch with this Perata guy and Norbie keeps burning up his cell and bad talking Este to this guy, even though Este assures him he will honor this contract. I think Norbie's ultimate goal is to ruin Este's good reputation and try to get him out of the Association. Peiate guy goes off and Acacia and Este are drinking some vino. They are spending the night in Cuidad Real. Acacia is giving Este another hug, That's quite enough Acacia stop doing that. Well in the act of giving him a hug for defending her so stuanchly, there is an accidental kiss on Acacia's part Este's head was a litte forward, Acacia was in the act of trying to kiss his cheek and missed by a huge mile, She kisses his lips, and he looks shocked! He even wipes that kiss off his lips. Both looked shocked. He gives her another hug, and tells her he's loved her since she was a child, not as in a woman type either. He loves Cris and he goes off to his room. He almost walks out of his room but stays there. Acacia has gone to her room also.
Shut the freak up! I hope you dig yourself a hole you can never get out of!
Uli is at lunch with Nuria. She has shown him a tablet of her ideas for the promotion of this city center. Evidentally it is a mixed use thing, half commerical and half residental. She has covered his hand with hers. He lets it go for a sec and then tells her he has a novia. What about her, does she have a novio, um, no, she lives on her own. she does this hand holding thingy again, and he finally has to remove her hand from his.
Cris and Juan Carlos are talking He shows her the investigation report for the fire. It was started by a cig but the investigator can't determine if it was on purpose or not. Cris and Juan Carlos both think Norbie had a hand in that. Also the security issue comes up again. Evidently the Association provides it to protect the rancher's bidnez interests as in the Assiciation makes money this way. That's why Este was so mad at Norbie for not ensuring this was done.
Ale is going to work and Luisa asks her if she can take a letter for her to Manuel. Ale will do it, and here comes Dans swaning into the Hacienda and this time it is not a hallucination, Luisa asks Ale if she is okay. Dans swans his way into see Cris. Dans doesn't see Ale. Dans is kissing Cris' hand and she is not very happy. He says he's gotta use the potty and goes looking where he shouldn't. I think he has found Ale's room, cause her painting is on the wall. He notices it immediately and is beside himself. He is about t take a cell phone pic, when Rosa, bless her heart catches him and makes him go. Rosa wants to know what he is doing in there. He says the painting caught his eye and who is the subject. Rosa won't tell him and makes him go. He finally goes to kiss Cris' hand again which she withdraws, she so had his slimy number. Now she wants to know what he is doing here. He wanted to talk bidez with Este, well Cris knows all the planters around here and she doesn't know him. And why did he come to thier wedding, he knows Norbie. This raises the hackles on the back of Cris' neck. She has his number. Oh, he didn't bring his wife ( Is he passing off Perls as his wife)? He finally goes and talks to Rubio outside. He asks Rubio about the painting and asks Rubio who the model is and who painted the picture. I never thought I'd say it, but Rubio bless his heart, gives Dans no info. Yay.
Dans goes to the house of happy endings. Perls can see he is not right. He swears he saw Turquesa. In a painting at Este's. Perls says that is impossible. Dans thinks that Turquesa became a model after she left them. He is drinkiing like a fish. Perls mentions something about Turquesa being dead. He is again beside himself an drinks more and cries.
Carmen and Andres are having a chat. He doesn't want to be without Carmen. To heck with Jules he says. What if she comes looking for Andres again Carmen says, he doesn't care anymore about Jules. Wow, rhe romance is back on.
Acacia and Este are walking around Cuidad Real when Acacia sees little market kiosk. She buys Este a hand made leather bracelet. She says it's to thank him for those many years of him leaving her trinkets in that little place at the hacienda. He does tell her it wasn't necessary to do this. He didn't want to take the place of her Papa. She gets it but respects him muchly. With Cris' help he was educated and learned so much. No hugging please.
Earlier Acacia is sleeping and having that nightmare about her Papa again, but his time her Papa morphs into a bare chested Este. Oh, la, la. She wakes up.
Later Norbie is at the hospital and Cris is there. In swans Jules with Dans escorting her. Cris is shocked, Norbie isn't happy either, while Jules wears a Cheshire cat grin. I bet Cris thinks this is German's Papi!

Wow..a lot happened in this episode.
Damdan is unbelievably slimy. Chris certainly has his number. I liked the way she pulled her hand away when he tried to kiss it. Bleccchhh I also enjoyed Rosa not taking no for an answer when she found him sulking around the house. Wouldn't you know that he would wander into Ale's bedroom right after she moved the portrait there. I was amazed that Rubio did not spill any beans. Does he have a little goodness inside that tough exterior ? Let's hope so because Ale will need all the protection that she can get when he finally discovers that she has been right under his nasty nose. I am so hoping that German eventually gets to give smarmy Damn a good beatdown.

And didn't Juliana look like the cat who just swallowed the canary when she walked into the room on Smarmy's arm. Perls will not like a new rival for Smarmy's affections. Has Juliana forgotten her onetruelove already ?
I have seen the actress playing Nuria before, but I can't remember the novela. I think that she is usually cast as a maid. Nuria certainly is not wasting any time hitting on Uli....but can we blame her ? He is a cute, sweet guy.

I too liked that Cris picked up on Danilo’s smarminess and pulled her hand back when he went to kiss it upon his leave. It’s a shame that Ale has someone like Cris in her corner but is still too afraid to tell all.
Add me to Rosa’s table on the patio. She missed her calling. She should've been working for the Secret Service. I do believe she would've tried removing Danilo bodily if he hadn't left Ale's room.

There may not be many commenters, but what is so heartening is that while quantity may be lacking, there is no doubt as to the quality. I had to repeat these wry observations:
