Mi Corazon Es Tuyo # 45, Luz to the Rescue
Labels: mcet
Thank you for the wonderful recap. You gave me some good laughs. I now wish that I had hung in a little longer with CI, just to witness a bit more of the worst novela of all times!
And, thank you for the wonderful hypothesis about Bruno and Ana. That will keep me going as complications continue to ensue!
I really felt for little Sebas last night. For the first time, I thought that he could act. Poor little guy and his father is interrupted with the nonsense from those two viboras.
I don't think that Yomama is on to whatever is happening between Enrique and Isabela. Her ignorance about that could make for some interesting complications.
I loved the scenes over the last two days between Johnny and first Diego and then Fernando. The two really showed the contrast between the two brothers. Johnny and Diego aren't so terribly different -- both know how to have fun, especially with women. But fate has smiled on Diego, giving him wealth and talent. Fernando is busy, doesn't have time for Johnny, can't understand why he's there and engages in some paranoia about who Ana really is. Fernando has a lot of work to do to be worthy of Ana and hopefully remembering his promises to his kids will get hims there.
Go Luz!
So happy for Luz and loved at the end where the kids were listening outside the room when Fer lit in to Isa.
Could Isa and Enrique not be in cohoots? Maybe his venganza is with Isa and using Fanny to make her jealous can be part of the plan.
Luz rocks!
Regarding Bruno and Ana, hmmmmmm... Anything's possible, I suppose. (Frankly, I wouldn't mind hiring Bruno to practice some of that reflexology on my feet at the end of the day.)
I also found it amusing when Xime happened to arrive at the corporate offices, just when Fanny needed her. Maybe she was applying for the corporate sign-polisher job.
Surely, Enrique's vengeance scheme references some grievance from the long past. He cannot possibly be jealous over Fernan-duh marrying Isabruja.
I still have a difficult time wrapping my head around Isabruja, a Harvard graduate, resorting to seducing corporate presidents, resorting to pregnancy, and resorting to bullying under-educated, working-class folks to achieve her financial goals. Seriously, this brilliant woman had to have scored at least 2200 on the SAT. Why doesn't she just start her own Fortune 500 company? I know. I know. If I put on a beanie, I won't worry about such incongruous details.
Fernan-duh did earn two points with me last night. One was for his welcoming Luz into his bed, placing her between him and Isabruja. The other was for his expression of disgust when Isabruja snuggled against him in bed. (I still root for Diego, though.)
Mati: I agree with your comment about Sebas, poor kid. He is doing a good acting job. But his little sequence of trying to dance "heep-hop" while crying was painful to watch.
By the way, the stolen necklace scheme was used in one of my favorite movies, "My Man Godfrey" (1936). Two snotty rich sisters are vying for the same man. He rejects one of them: in retaliation she hides her pearl necklace in his room and then brings in the police to search the room. Luckily he had caught on to her and had moved it before the police came. It was fun to watch then and fun to see it again now, with the addition of little Luz.

I think YoMama learned a valuable lesson...don't ever borrow plans from a TN that couldn't keep it's plots and characters straight. Spells Failure for sure.
And could Luz have been any cuter in knowing she one-upped the brujas. That should help with her nightmares. Loved how Ana and Luz walked out all proud, hand in hand, after telling off YoMama. And I guess we found out where Isa gets her tantrum antics.
One would hope this would put a stop to the "Let's get Ana" intrigues, but I wouldn't count on it.
I do think Enrique and Isa are in cahoots, but hearing about a pregnancy may not have been something Mr. Smarmy expected. And my guess is there is an extremely good chance the bambino is his.
As for this whole idea of revenge...my guess is it business related somehow. Maybe Enrique's family was hurt by either Nico's or Fer's business dealings.
Since it's apparent Enrique and Isa had something going on and know each other, they recruited each other to get what they want: Enrique his revenge and Isa her millions. Explains why Isa zeroed in on Fer so fast and furious and wanted into the company.
Ana needs to knock a club over Fer's head to help Sebas, or recruit Diego to do something. That little guy is not in a good place and could fall into an even deeper depression.
Sorry....wayyyyyy too much Johnny gracing my screen. Is he best buds with Osorio or something? His leering now at Jen is getting tiring, and please dear lord, tell me we won't have to watch him do a comedy routine. Darn, there's that nausea again....

The funniest scenes for me were those in search of Isabela's pearls with Ana so confident and even taunting on the sidelines with Luz, as Isabel and Yolanda ran amuck. After this fiasco, Isabela and Yolanda are going to have to be a bit more careful in their harassment of Ana. My favorite of all was Yolanda shaking her tiny fists and stomping her tiny feet at the end in total frustration and humiliation.
Traveling Lady, I too have enjoyed the Johnny scenes with both Diego and Fernando.
Cathyx, It seems we are seeing some depth to Johnny's character beyond his staring at Jennifer's rear. LOL
J in Oregon, interesting comment about plot and My Man Godfrey
Poor Sebastián was so upset he could not dance at all.
I cannot wait until we find out why Enrique wants revenge on Fernando and use Fanny. He says wants to change the image of the company to make it "fresher and friendlier ": Fanny now knows. but Fernando doesn't know about it? What was that all about? This will be an interesting plot line. Isabela must be involved somehow.
I think Fanny will be slurped back into the León camp sooner rather than later.
Jarifa
If Fanny's choices are either Leon or Enrique, please let her go back to Leon.
I loved the title, Luz to the rescue".
Fernando's company "La costeña" is a canned food company that exists in the real world. I have some of their products on my shelves. I love how the novelas mix fiction and reality.
Jarifa
I did notice the water bottles on the company's table, when Fer, Isa, and Enrique discussed business, bore the Mi Corazon es Tuyo logo.
YAY LUZ!!! She is the best. I love it when a dastardly plan backfires. And now Fer knows that Yomama, at least, is out to get Ana and is willing to try to forge evidence to do it. I hope he will remember that for the next scheme.
Maybe Enfrique used to work for the chile company in Abismo de Pasión and he's mad that La Costeña controls so much of the chile market? Did Elisa send him to get revenge?
Remember PQEAM was set in the corporate backdrop of Avon; and how could we forget the Tundra character in LQLVMR who took on a life of his (or her, depending on your gender preference for autos) own throughout the novela!
"his dancing always looks like he’s been electrocuted, even when he’s happy (think Elaine Bennis here.)"
All Isabela has to tell Fernando for a reason Yomama has it in for Ana, is she is protecting her daughter, because Ana struck her.
I hope Luz finally tells Fernando what she heard during the conversation, though it was cute how it went down.
So, Isabela got no lecture from Fernando about her large debt only a quick agreement to help.
Wow, Fanny has a big target on her naive back and Enrique will leave a mark.
I'm loving him in this novela! I've seen LQNPA, FELS, MDET, and LEV. He was fantastic in all. I didn't watch QBA because I loved Mark Tacher in the original, LHDM.
I'm hoping the lecture on money will come at a later date.
I don't mind corporate sponsorship on TNs. So far it hasn't been to intrusive for me. Even in Abismo de Pasion and La Que No Podia Amar with the Tostitos bag needing to face the camera all the time, it didn't bother me. They didn't discuss the product ever. I would like to see more creative uses of the product placements.
Jarifa
How would a food company need a "friendlier" image? That should be the first thing anyone thinks of in terms of a corporate image.
Luz definitely saved the day. Isabitch and her mama better think twice about messing with her. She is Fernando's favorite child and he would never stand for anything happening to her.
I think Jenny won't hold any punches with Isabruja, whereas Ana feels she has to remain calm, especially after the slap heard around the world.
Ecuador Bound, I agree about Isa the Harvard grad being totally inept. Perhaps she is not the Harvard grad? I would assume she's been lying about everything!
And while I think sometimes Sebes dances like Elaine, I think he has shown some good moves every now and again-- like when he danced with the street guys.
Have a nice Saturday!

“That seems very likely,” said Athena. “One would think a woman like that would know something of money or a man like Fernando wouldn't marry her.”
“And that's not even with the bills from that travesty of a wedding,” Aphrodite said.
“On another note, I think this new guy is up to something. It takes a lot to creep me out,” said Demeter.
“'Enfrique” is just the right name for this guy. If I were producing a Frankenstein movie in Mexico I'd cast him as the monster,” said Hermes.
They all laughed.
The favoritism of Luz was mentioned as a possible point of jealousy for the other children. That's certainly a possibility, but it could also be that she's everyone's favorite baby sister and gets a pass for being so well loved.
Victoria Gomez, you were asking about Jorge S. novelas. I really enjoyed Mariana de la Noche. Jorge is in love with Mariana (Alejandra Barros), is hotly pursued by Angelica Rivera (later to play Gaviota), and is opposed by Cesar Evora (in his prime). Lots of great supporting cast, including Rene Strickler, Patricia Navidad, and Patricia Reyes Spindola. Filled with intrigue and dramatic plot twists, beautiful scenery.
Thank you so much. I loved AB in "La Verdad Oculta" (she was so hot with EY) and AR (Gaviota)in "Destilando Amor". I look forward to watching MDLN after I finish "Los Plateados" with Mauricio Islas (gorgeous guy).
Thank you, Cathyx, you were very entertaining - I bet you had a blast recapping about Yolanda's humiliation. Yey!
I LOVE your theory about Bruno!! And maybe Ana's mom does turn out to be a rich woman, so she can put Isa in her place the only way that bruja would understand it - by using the power of money.
I'm pretty sure that Enrique's revenge has nothing to do with Isa - she's not worth the trouble.
Ecuador Bound, I CAN NOT understand Isa, either. She goes to Harvard, is smart enough to land a Vice-President gig and leaves it all behind because she married a rich guy? Oh yeah, she's like 2 days pregnant, too.
I can totally see Enrique go there with Fanny. She is hurt and vulnerable right now and the actor died his hair dark, maybe in an attemp not to make the pair so creepy? Fanny does seem to get pretty chummy with the boss... That's so strange, when I was 19 I thought that all guys over 25 were old, the ones over 30 were as good as dead to me.
And yeah, young girls are attracted by older men for all kind of reasons, but she is still a teenager, for God's sake.
At least Fer is trying to keep his promise and be there for the kids.
For now...
I don't think this applies to Fanny but if Enfrique intends to take advantage of her he is more than worthy of that moniker. Here's hoping that Ana can spot this fast enough.
Sorry I haven't provided a weekend topic but I've been very busy with the opera group. I have three performances to attend this week and still need someone to relieve me of an extra ticket.
I see Enrique as a pure villain, probably because I've never seen Lisardo play a good guy. To me, he is perfect for the bad guy role. Tofie, predator/stalker/creep would be the words I would use to describe him.
Now there are two characters that I don't look forward to seeing on the screen: Johnny and Enrique.
There is something I wanted to find out about, for a while I've been seeing those letters/marks at the end of words. What is the purpose of it all and how do you do it? I guess just for amusement? I guess you have to use a particular font? Just curious.
Ann-NYC
If you copy and paste the letters/marks that you are referring to, one of us would be glad to answer your question.
Thanx for answering.
What I'm talking about: se Urban's comment 7:56 pm on Sat.
Thanx.
Ann-NYC
Are you talking about the words being in italics or the quote marks at the beginning and end of the sentences.
The Acoe with markings on it at the beginning and end of sentences and sometimes when they use an '.

If you email me, I will try to answer your question.

I think it is better to answer your question through email and not take up blog space.
There are some really savy bloggers on Caray, Caray who are experts in HTML texting. Much more savy than I am.
I have talked to Ann-NYC; and she is definitely seeing something that I think is weird on the recaps and comments that I don't understand.
You are such a blog genius that I thought maybe you could provide a better answer than I am able to give.
Would you please lend a hand?
Her email address: anncos3@yahoo.com
Also not pleased w/the potential seduction of Fanny by icky Ricky.
Thank you so much for your help. She might be getting ANSI symbols mixed in with regular HTML text. I'm not computer savy enough to help.
I love how everyone on Caray, Caray is always lending a hand. This is a great community.
Thanks again
Thanks, that's it!!! Cathyx I get it everywhere you use an ' --
in your recap. And in Urban's
comments they also start and end sentences with symbols. Crazy!!!
Thanks for your help and explaining it to me.

PS: It is even used in Leon's name.
You did a wonderful job of following the twists of the CI-derived frame up.
It looks like Leon's mom is going to have a better chance of thawing Fanny than Leon himself. Must want to recruit a better mommy for her grandson.
I am confused by the entry of Enrique. He was referred by Isa, but I clearly remember that Isa got nervous and dodged at least one of his calls. Yet when he arrives, they seem to be cooperating beautifully so far, though to what end isn't clear.
Does anyone remember the "referral scene" (or can they at least recall which episode it was in?) Did Fernando seem to already know who Enrique was when Isabella made the referral. Either I missed that segment/episode, or it went flying way over my head.
It also seems that Betty has some history with him? The scene with Fanny and Betty suggested some romantic history, or at least some previous lusting on her part, but I didn't notice much reaction, if any on his part upon seeing her. Did I blink at the wrong time?
And then he's plotting revenge, but do we know against whom yet? Isabella? Fernando personally? La Costena?
We seem to have a new character with many possibilities, few of them good for our hero and his family.

"We feel your pain, son, we hate her too. And the mother that made her"; "No Jen, he’s really not that funny" and "Maybe if he kept a journal and wrote down all his angst, that might work better. And we wouldn't have to see his dancing" were all excellent.
I missed this so really appreciate your humor laden, well written summary.
I would love it if Bruno were Ana's father. She so desperately wants to find her mother - finding out he is her father would certainly soothe her heart.
Loved Luz ruining Isa and Yolando's scheme.
Please, please, Fanny...Don't go back to Leon.
Great comments all.

another place i have seen symbols shown is when the client software can't figure out what the symbols stand for... like some html code for spaces, letters with accent
for example & a a c u t e ; should be read in html for á
and i have seen series like %20 to mean spaces or line feeds...
but the italics instruction is right below the edit comment box.
great recap. of course my favorite moment was when Ana was laughing while Yola was looking in Ana's drawer and Fernando was like 'Mrs! there is nothing there!' and then Ana suggested they look in Yola's room and stayed behind when they left to thank Luz 'Te adoro amorcito!!!'
i totally agree with Jarifa and others, this really backfired on YoMama and IsaBruja. Now if they try another scam on Ana hopefully Fernando will remember this one.
ITA with your wondering about Enrique's revenge:
I’m not sure where this is going, I hope it doesn’t go there. He tells her that he’ll see her tonight at the house. For what?
if Fernando did not know Enrique before the day we saw him come in for interview, that means the revenge, chances are, is not against Fernando but goes all the way back to Nico and La Costena as a company... i agree that it might be about the competition (Enrique's family had a competitor business) or something Nico did to Enrique or his relatives.
I doubt Isa and Enrique are scheeming together... it sounds more like Isa owed Enrique a favor and that is why she referred him to Fernando, but has no knowledge of Enrique's revenge. Otherwise the revenge success would trump Isa's attempt to get her hands on the Lasc treasure chest.
Yolanda told Isa she was watching a comedy (not a tn) LOL!! I thought it was intentional there to refer to CI as a comedy as critique...
Then when Fernando finds the necklace in her nightstand drawer, she whines that he should not talk like that to his favorite MIL!! (LOL he only has one MIL!)
and yes, totally agree that Isa threw momma from the train... that is strike 2... first introducing her as her nanny and now throwing her under the bus about the scheme backfiring... i would not be surprised YoMama turns on Isa before the finale.
I really don't want Fanny to go too far with EnFrique before someone catches on to them, probably Ana...
and the previews, with EnFrique finding out Isa was 6 wks pregnant and asking Isa 'are you sure that baby is his?' was a OMG moment for sure. congrats to all those who predicted that.
I still have the prediction of Ana being Bruno's child.
Jarifs
he wants to hurt the company and will use Fanny's inexperience to do it. So maybe there won't be anything sexual between them.
Do you know when it started? How many stars out of five would you rate it?
Amor Real started last week on Galavision at 11 am.
