Mi Corazon Es Tuyo #52, Tues 09/30/2014 Finally Bruno and Manuela hook up, Jen leaves Nico breathless... Isa wins one battle, or does she?...

Refritos:

Johny hugs the bald guy

Leon meets Reeky… Reeky notices that Leon is not quite just history for Fanny.

Nando and Ximena, his blindly kissing her nose… she keeps on smiling…

Jenn and Nico… Ay my Sciatica!!! / no worries, I will go make you a home remedy in a jiffy!

Isa spills the coffee on Ana intentionally…

I: sorry, I am so clumsy… (Ana growls) … you owed me. Know? It was an accident, I am so distracted…

A: You think you ruined my night?... I can change clothes in 2 minutes, but you can’t change your bitterness…

Lo Nuevo:

Jen is delighted with how ‘lively’ (vivaz) Nico turned out to be…

Ximena and Nando… he makes some comment of going 300K km per second… she says ‘don’t feel bad… these things happen. … it was great.’ ‘you are such a bad liar… but I love you so much…’ ‘ Nando, you are my love… my love.’

Nico throws the towel on Jenn (he has her lip kiss prints all over his face’… she will bring him some cake she has around. (he comments ‘this woman is a beast’ and she replies she heard him LOL!)

Isa goes to fetch Fernando at library… She reminds Fernando Ana must be having a great time with his brother… they make a great couple, don’t you think? They are both liberal, extroverted… i can imagine them backpacking semi-nude in the middle of the jungle… ‘ She suggests they go to bedroom… sorry Isa, even if you try to massage and give him a preview, he is just not that into you… he comes up with the excuse that his son Sebas is out on the street. Isa asks Fer if it is time to take the painting of him and Fanny off the wall. He just replies ‘No.’ (take that, bruja!!)

The guy who Leon got off Fanny when they met is the DJ at some club. There is Sebas in the middle of teenage girls who are clearly older than him. Poor guy is about to be stepped on… but he is real happy to be there.

Erasmo the driver calls Fernando’s cell. Fernando is very impactado to hear his son escaped.

At scalpore, Bruno keeps admiring Manuela’s cleavage. She pulls his chin up so his eyes look at her face… LOL! He mentions the devil arriving and then blows on her chest… she asks him how long has she been running after his jacket tails… he doesn’t know. She says she is tired. He begs her not to go. ‘Today you will understand one of my mysteries’.

At Chicago, Nico and Diego are there. Diego asks him if he’s ok. ‘have you run the marathon ever?’ ‘yeah, sometimes’. ‘imagine doing it twice in a row!’ (Diego looks amused, Jennifer is behind the counter bending over laughing) ‘I don’t know if I’ll survive tonight’ (his knees start swinging around) ‘that good??’ Nico looks really worried, while Diego is laughing and Jenn passes another round of this punchy drink to Nico (supposedly to get ready for more).

In the dressing room, Ana congratulates Johnny on whatever he just told her happened. He is excited that he will work with the producer of ‘prado’, he will finally get out of poor (perico pardo or sste). He says he will have a comedy show, will be famous, millionaire, etc etc. Ana helps slow him down. She is sorry she had to cut his wings, but if she let him fly too high, things would just not happen for him. (the bald guy does have a Televisa card). Doro comes in to finish dropping Johnny’s hopes… ‘everything the guy pays you will be for me. Are we clear?’

Fernando is calling Ana from his cell phone in the bedroom, and around Isa’s whinning that lately Ana is more irresponsible than ever. Fernando shouts that it is not the time to argue about that. His son is lost! (finally he has a point there). He already put the police on alert and has some corporate employees looking for him.. (the guy is desperate… hey man… breathe!! Breathe!! Your son needs you to think clearly). Isa of course tells herself she wishes someone would steal that ‘esquincle’).

Sebas is still at club.

Ana is having her show at Chicago. Diego (as usual) is in awe of her skill. He even whispers ‘I love you’ to her. Jen gets her hands all over Nico and he is scared out of his mind. Johnny is drooling at her with his eyes. Then when Nico looks at him he looks away.

At the other restaurant, Bruno is telling Manuela the name of some other woman (Edelina). She was the love of my life. We met at high school. We wrote to each other. My God, she was the prettiest girl in the universe. (the waiter comes but Manuela sends him away fast). He proposed to her. He knew he would be the happiest guy beside his beautiful Edelina. He had no money. He had hopes that love would overcome any obstacle. The day of the wedding I waited for her, waited… waited for her… and she never came. (Manuela is crying). The woman of my life left me stranded at church.

Fernando is in the boys room questioning the twins if Sebas had told them anything. One of the twins tells Fernando Sebas was looking at his tablet. Fernando looks at the tablet. The twins tell Fernando the group Sebas likes, Sincope, was going to appear locally tonight. Fernando takes off with the tablet. It is a lead.

Diego is getting steamy with Ana in her dressing room… But she gets a call on her cell. She notices she has a bunch (14) of missed calls from Fernando. She answers. Fernando tells her Sebas escaped from training and is nowhere to be found. Ana is impactada.

Reeky and Fanny still at dinner… he keeps questioning about her personal life. Reeky says Leon is a bit too little for Fanny. Fanny tells him Leon is studying graphic design. Reeky insists that in the long run the social differences come to the surface. (at that moment Leon is walking by them with a tray with two wine glasses on it). He is staring at Fanny and the manager is standing by him. The manager bumps into Leon’s tray and the glasses fall and break. The glasses shatter and the Manager gets mad at Leon and fires him on the spot. Leon gives Fanny one last look, he is sad, she is worried about him. Reeky just looks at Leon, and we can tell he is glad of what just happened. Fanny not so much.

At Ximena’s house, Nando is standing with her in the backyard, he is giving her some tutoring about the stars formations, galaxies, how many stars there are (a number with 18 digits), etc. She thought the universe was infinite… Nando says nope, it is finite. He wants to change the subject to his feelings for her. My love IS infinite… (someone pass the crackers, please, have plenty of cheese here).. you are the best thing that ever happened in my life… more kisses

Bruno tells Manuela ‘that’s why I am so afraid of love’. ‘but I am not Edelina’. ‘I am not so sure what you feel for me’. ‘isn’t it clear yet?’ ‘no, because usually you come over to me for sexual attraction’. ‘we have to start somewhere, no?... you do need me to tell you… what I have felt for you for years… I love you Bruno’. Bruno admits that the fear of relationships is still there. Manuela says what is important is the present, unless you don’t feel anything for me. ‘of course I love you, Manuela. I love you.’ Bruno asks ‘if we were to have a relationship, how would we pull it? It is not very proper that the butler date the cook’. Manuela won’t let him keep pushing it off… ‘Manuela loves Bruno!’

Later Bruno continues the story, that when Edelina left him, he ended up living on the street. That is how Nico found him, dirty, alone, with no dignity. Don Nico rescued him, took him out of the street. That guy whom I respect saved my life. (the waiter comes to tell them the place is closing.) Manuela proposes to him to be ‘novios’ in hiding.

At club, Sebas is with the DJ guy.. Sebas is excited the guy let him help with the equipment. He loves this music.… ‘who did you come to the event with?’ (apparently minors need to be accompanied there). We see Diego, Ana and Fernando arrive, they are looking for Sebastian. Sebas starts dancing with the group on stage. They all dance in synch, so he must have been practicing with them or knew their routine from the internet. Ana points Sebas to Fernando. Sebas seems to notice they are there and tells the guy (was his name Gustavo?) ‘my dad will kill me!’ the guy finally realizes Sebas is there alone. Fernando yells ‘now you did overstep all the limits! Your rebel-skid ends here!! You understand?? Here it ends!!’ (Nico is with them too.

Fernando is out of control, yelling at the guy threatening he will cancel all the concerts and close the place. He should have noticed there was a 11 year old boy alone here. They guy recognizes Fernando as Fanny’s dad. Fernando is still out of control even if the guy says he did not notice Sebas was alone. Fernando leaves angry, Nico, Ana and Diego stay behind with Sebas and let him know that he should have asked any one of them, they would have come with him… anything but coming alone. Nico tells Sebas he would do anything for any of his grandchildren. ‘you almost gave us a heart attack!’. Ana also lets Sebas have some… ‘if you don’t even let me know you do these things I can’t help you’. She warns Gustavo that she recognized him too before they all leave.

They all get home. Isa lets Sebas have it a bit right at the door… Fernando tells Isa he will speak to Sebas then he will explain to her. Isa wants to keep nagging about there being a new problem in the house daily. Nico bids his ‘good nite’. Ana follows suit… Diego says I am heading to my house. (no one wants to pay attention to Isa) Diego suggests Ana say ‘good nite’ outside. They embrace and go out the door. Isa: ‘of course! How stupid I am, there is the clue to everything’. (she follows them out the door).

Fernando is yelling at Sebas in library. You are just a 11 yo boy. What if something had happened to you??

S: I wanted to go to that show, Dad!

F: you should have told someone, so one of us would have gone with you. What just happened tonight makes me think I cannot trust you to go anywhere alone. Remember what happened to Nando? How much we all suffered?

S: I won’t do it again.

F: Of course you won’t. I am your dad. I would love for you to tell me everything, the good, the bad. Above all I want you to know that I love you. But what you did today has consequences. Sorry but you won’t go alone to any training. And I will punish you as well.

S: Will we continue doing homework together, dad?

F: Of course, son. (embrace, he stares at the painting of him and Fanny)

Diego and Ana are talking outside. Isa is spying on them. Diego and Ana are joking around about her spying on him while he showered. He repeats to her that the most important is to connect with the woman’s emotions. Ana tells him those words got to the bottom of her heart. He says that is what he thinks and feels for her. They kiss. Isa is appaled and then sickened. She thinks she has the way clear for her. Ana gives Diego her blessing… dream of me.

At bedroom upstairs, Isa wants to talk.. (he says its obvious this can’t wait until tomorrow, right?) ‘when we got married you said you would do whatever you could to make me happy. Remember? (yes) well, then part of the process was to kiss the nany? (that was a misunderstanding, I told you!) Isa insists to question if he does indeed plan to fulfill his promise. Fernando admits that he does not love her. Isa cries, admits she knows, but she reminds him they had agreed that would come gradually. How will that happen with Ana around? Why won’t you let Ana be happy with your brother? (what does that have to do with it?) if you accept that relationship, maybe ours will work, don’t you think?? (have to admit she has a point there)

Ana and Sebas, she won’t reprimand him anymore, surely your dad did enough (yup). We have to follow the rules. Deal? Deal! Noisy kiss. ‘Ana, I love you so much so much… thanks for being in this family and in this house…’ ‘it won’t happen again, right?’ ‘no’.

Ana and Jen on phone… Jen had a great time with Nico… left him exhausted. What about you?... Ana admits Diego is a great guy. Jen says more than that, he looks after you, protects you… truly with Fernando you don’t have much hope, or do you?... don’t know. Why don’t you look to the future? With the optimism you usually have? Why don’t you take a chance?? Take a chance!!

Reeky finally stops the car… his hand almost touches Fanny’s leg. She is sleeping. He says ‘you will be mine’ (where is my turbo sized barf bag??)

Bruno and Manuela also arrive at the house, they share a kiss…

Fernando talks to Nando… asks Nando how long she will stay here. Nando says she needs to be near those who love her. Fanny also wants to help her. Fernando is concerned that Ximena is not well, and besides, she is ill, and her situation is complicated… also, she hurt you, she used you. She is the first girl you date, and the first loves tend to be very intense. Nando tells Fernando that they had their first night together… but we were careful. Fernando says ‘I know, you are a smart guy who knows your risks and I trust your decisions.’ Nando admits it is not easy to talk about things like this. Fernando reassures him he will always be here for him and all his siblings. Thank you. (embrace). ‘at what moment did you all grow up so much?’

Fernando and Ana seem to want to see Fanny at the same time. ‘Me too’ She wants to play the Spanish version of rock-paper-scissors… he just lets her go first. What should I tell her? ‘tell her I am proud of her’. Fanny says she fell asleep in Reeky’s car. Ana repeats that she does not like Reeky so much. They miss each other. Fanny says now with the project work, want to show my dad that I can do good work. Ana tells her Fernando sent message that he is proud of her’. Fanny spits out about what happened with Leon. And that he got fired. Fanny feels guilty partially about what happened.

Next morning, Ana about to knock on Fernando’s door but she hears Isa and Fernando arguing. Isa wants Fernando to give her ‘her place as his wife, for better or worse’. Ana hears Isa repeat her request to Fernando that Ana spend the nights at her house. Ana knocks and comes in… ‘know something, ma’am? You are so right. Beginning tonight, I will sleep at my house.’.

Previews: while Isa enjoys her win, Fernando suffers for the upcoming separation. He watches Ana kiss the kids goodbye.

Nico: why won’t you let her be happy with your brother?

Fer: Because it kills me with jealousy, that’s why!

Marta

If the story of IckyLizard keeps up, I will need at least a 55-gallon size trash bag, then a dump truck!

...yep. I think TrickyIckyRicky should fit in a 55 gallon trash bag.

Thanks so much, Marta. I love the line about the crackers and cheese. Isa is supplying plenty of whine :).

Why did disGustavo have to reappear? Ugh. Maybe Leon will clean his clock again. And Enfrique's, while he is at it.

What was with Seb's mid-scene wardrobe change?

Marta, thank you for another great recap. I loved your: "where is my turbo sized barf bag?". As it looked like Enrique's hand was going for Fanny's thigh it was so creepy. Yuk!

Enrique was also laying it on thick by telling Fanny that since she was a "princess" she deserved a "king." It was barfable! At least Ana told Fanny she did not like Enrique very much.

Great scenes with Nico/Jennifer, Nando/Ximena, and Bruno/Manuela.

I am so happy that Ana agreed with Isabela and will be sleeping at her own house and so will not be available to Fernando for any chance meetings in the middle of the night. Let Fernando feel the complete impact of his actions already!

Jarifa

I totally fast-forwarded through ALL the Bruno/Manuela, Jen/Nico, Nando/Ximena and hip hop crowd scenes - so completely boring!

Thank you, Marta, for the excellent recap!

I do feel sorry for Leon-the-lyin'. Compared to disGustavo and Enfrique, he's only half a jerk. How did Fanny, such a nice, beautiful girl, wind up with two-and-a-half jerks: Disco King, Lyin' King, and Slime King?

I don't think Manuela is the only woman on this tn from Veracruz. Jen appears to be Jarocha, too! Did Nico look happy and satisfied? Or did he just look scared, possibly thinking Jen is too much for him to handle?

I really hope Ana leaves, and she and Diego live happily ever after. Let Fernan-duh stay with Isabruja. Ana will still be an important part of the kids' lives.

Have a great day on the patio, All!

Great, Marta.

While Ana leaving the house will remove the worst element of stress in her life it will certainly create a few others. She's going to worry about the kids more and she will have to commute to and from at early/late hours. I don't think she has a car. She should demand one.

Leon's boss was at least partly at fault in that scene and he was a total jerk for firing Leon. Enfrique is a total sociopath for getting off on that.

Totally cringeworthy in the car, too.

Fernando is stepping up as a father but he will slide right back if he allows Isabruja any authority over his kids. He still has no idea how much she hates them, which is also disturbing. I fear for their ferret, too.

Fantastic recap Marta, thank you so much. And boy, do I agree with your comments. ( UA, you as well. That poor ferret if Isa has a bad moment with it. Yikes)

Anyone else wondering if we will get any other kind of plot for the over 18 gang that isn't centered around their sexual exploits? I know this is all about the "heart" but gees. I found all the innuendo comments last night interesting...again, hello family hour!!

Nico/Jen isn't going to last. I think we are getting that telegraphed to us. Too bad because with Johny still mooning over her, well if that's Jen's end game, my heart goes out to her.

Expected more from the Bruno story. Had hoped there would have been knowledge about a child. Dang. Maybe he didn't tell Manuela everything or he doesn't know? Again, no Yolanda/Ana please!

As for Enrique and his slimeball antics. We may be told Fanny is 19, but this guy comes off as a bit of a perv to me because Fanny is hardly worldly. That "you will be mine" just made me want to do damage to something...thankfully nothing was within reach at home.I hope she keeps filling Ana in on what's happening. Fer is clueless. That girl does NOT need to be working until all hours alone at the office with that guy...of course what does a workaholic know.

We are not suppose to like that guy Fanny use to date, but he didn't do anything. And really, that thought process of Sebas "I want to go" and not understanding the consequences made me realize how little guidance these kids have gotten from their absentee father the last year. That kid didn't do it to get back at anyone, he just did it because he wanted to and plain didn't think. Someone should have given Fer a talking to.

I for one am thrilled Ana will be moving out at night, though I'm sure there will be a too-cute, sad scene with Luz. I'll have my Kleenex ready.

Daisynjay

Marta, a fantastic recap, replete with details and greatly appreciated conversation translations. My favorite was " You think you ruined my night?... I can change clothes in 2 minutes, but you can’t change your bitterness…". Ana nailed it, didn't she?

I always feel I have such clearer insight into the characters because you so carefully ensure we miss none of their all important discussion highlights.

Ana was very fortunate that she was able to carry on with her plans. She could have been severely burned from the coffee. How long will it be before Fer sees her talons displayed?

There seems to be no doubt that Jen may be too much woman for Nico to handle. Rather than appearing besotted, he just looked exhausted. And as already been noted, Johnny is not going away.

I believe there was a reason we don't like the guy at the club. Was he part of the group that ganged up on and/or insulted Nando early on?

So now Ana has another round trip to make to her first of two jobs. Agree that Fer will miss her muchly but am annoyed Isa is getting her way.

I don't think we've heard all of Bruno's story.

This isn't the first time we've seen an older, creepy man seek to seduce a young girl for revenge. Could anything top Por Siempre Mi Amor for a loathsome villain?? This is especially heinous as Fanny has already been devastated by Leon. I'm really hoping he doesn't succeed. This would break her.

Diana

Thus far in this tn, each sexual encounter, except for Fernan-duh and Isabruja's and Enfrique and Betty's, stemmed from an honest, loving relationship. Further, Fanny and Nando used contraceptives in their respective romances. These couples progressed in their relationships with virtue and wisdom.

Conversely, Fernan-duh, the supposed galan of this tn, leader of the Lascurain clan, participated in casual, unprotected sex, and Betty, while I feel sorry for her, displayed a total lack self-respect and prudence.

Ideally, the loving, wise couples should succeed relationally, and the fools who casually hooked-up should fail. These outcomes satisfy my sense of cosmic justice.

Of course, we are all human, and we err. Moreover, we learn from our mistakes and move on; Fernan-duh and Betty will hopefully do so. However, Fernan-duh in NO WAY deserves Ana. Rather, Diego's patient love for Ana and his heartfelt and beautiful advice to Nando places him in among the virtuous and wise characters, making him a worthy recipient of la nana's love.

I wanted to explain my reasoning because it appears Fernan-duh and Ana will ultimately pair, and this outcome irks me. With this outcome, Fernan-duh becomes a lucky SOB who gets his cake and eats it, too, without "reaping what he's sown."

Does that make sense?

Dear Marta,

What a funny, thorough and educational recap! Thanks for catching so many great phrases that generally escape me.

With Ana out at night now, the troops are going to be even more out of control, taking even more of Fernando's time. This group may now include Ximena, despite Fernando's wise warnings to Nando about her. Should be interesting!

On the other hand, it does not seem that Ana can find real love with Diego either. What to do?

Ecuador - I certainly hope that the better Fernando emerges more clearly so that we can feel better about the inevitable pairing of this guy with Ana. He had a relationship with Estafania in which she did all the emotional work for the family. Ana took that role as well. Both apparently brought him along as far they needed to make the dynamics of the family work better. We only got a taste of that with Ana, but certainly she brought peace and some liveliness to the house.

I loved watching Diego's face when he is watching Ana-the-pole-dancer. He looks not only smitten but amazed!

Sorry - I didn't finish my thought about Ana and Fer. I don't think we will ever get real emotional depth on a continuing basis with Fernando, only Chrisopher Plummer leading the gang over the Alps. It's an old-fashioned vision of a good relationship, but my bet is this is what the Televisa production/writers have in mind.

yeah that 'you will be mine' moment also had me wanting to throw the remote at the tv...

too funny i rewatched the first couple minutes this morning... and when he came up from under the sheets he told Jen he 'need air!!... my blood sugar is dipping!' and that is when she offered to go get him some juice or soda... when she got up to go get that is when she must have hit him with her knee and he screamed in pain for his sciatica.

and Diego laughing when Nico was scared telling him about the 'two marathons' ... that was too funny, with Jen giggling from behind the bar and handing Nico another round of his 'punch'.

Fernando has a lot to learn about emotional responsibility. Not particularly unusual in men. He is only now realizing that he needs to take that kind of responsibility for his children. They need him more than ever since their mother's death and now since he's made the boneheaded mistake of marrying Isabully without even thinking of how that will impact his children.

Nando seemed to learn from his father's mistake about unprotected sex. However, a bipolar girlfriend is a disaster waiting to happen.

Nick has probably realized he's bitten off more than he can chew. And BTW, he couldn't have had a sciatica attack if he was able to continue. I've had four sciatica attacks in my life and have never experienced any pain that was worse than that.

Ecuador: So much THAT!

And I agree Traveling Lady, I'm sure the writers are putting Ana in the Fanny Sr. role, but if that's it without a real transformation and realization from Fer-duh on his real role as a member of the family, I will be sorely disappointed. He needs to become a true partner in how that household is run and how those kids are raised and mentored. He loves them, but so far, a lot of it is reactive and too much of their growth and support has been coming from Ana. Fer works with Seba because he remembers Fanny Sr. telling him to and he feels guilty. Why doesn't he do the same with the twins, Luz or Alicia? Do you have to struggle or get in trouble to get his attention outside of a kiss goodnight or breakfast...not enough for me.

But TN writers I think sometimes need to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century with the galan/heroine plot lines. I give them kudos for the lessons on protection, etc. but I just don't want to see Ana as some starry-eyed worshiper at the Fer ego altar. She is so much more than that and deserves more.

That's why I so much want Ana to have a healthy relationship outside of Fer and not have the other guy turn out to be a creep. So far so good on Diego and how they are showing that twosome. I DON'T want her waiting around, mooning after Fer like is the cliche in so many TN's.

I just don't want to see Ana as some starry-eyed worshiper at the Fer ego altar. She is so much more than that and deserves more.

Ecuador B, I am also scratching my head on: How did Fanny, such a nice, beautiful girl, wind up with two-and-a-half jerks: Disco King, Lyin' King, and Slime King?

Thank you for the recap!

I must admit all of the sex talk has driven me away the last few episodes. Nico talking about getting it on with Nando and then going for condoms...he's 17! Nando with Ximena, Nico and Jen, Reeky after Fanny...all too creepy for me.

I guess we will see how well things work with Ana out of the house with no late night tea runs. Maybe Fer will get a chance to see Isa's true colors once her guard is down and she feels more free about the house.

Do we have any idea yet what Bruno is doing with the twins toys? Remember they put the blue paint in Isa's shampoo bec they thought it was her stealing their toys. Love those twins!

Has anyone else noticed how much the twins have grown since the opening title sequence was shot? I don't see any difference on the other kids, but the twins look a little older and taller.

That's a handsome pair of boys. I hope they grow up to be handsome adults.

When Isabruja has free rein in the house she will be a nightmare and a half.

Thanks Marta, gotta run off today but just wanted to thank you for the great recap.

Quickly, could Bruno's Edilina been rich and pregnant, her parents found out about her marrying Bruno so she fled?

yes those twins are so cute and so look-alike to their screen dad.

I notice that one of the twins is just a little bit taller than the other. I guess even identical twins don't grow at quite the same pace. Excellent little actors and so darn cute!

“Oh, well, I suppose we won't see many more pranks from these boys for a while,” said Hermes. “Just as they were hitting their stride.”

“Fernando had to start paying attention eventually,” said Hera. “He has been quite remiss as a father.”

“But it was so cute.” Hermes was almost pouting.

“True, but you better start thinking about how we're going to protect them from now on,” said Aphrodite. “You heard what that bruja said when she heard Sebastián went missing.”

“I certainly did.” Hera looked at the others. “And if Ana moves out there could be no stopping Isabruja without our help.”

“We have to figure that out soon,” said Aphrodite. “I've seen too many women like her. She will be even worse when her pregnancy starts to show.”

Ana should mention, totally casual and offhand-like, to Fer that she needs some clothes replaced because Isa threw coffee on them and the stain won't come out. And BTW, could she get new uniforms that are more suitable for dealing with children while she's at it? And a car and driver since now she'll be having to commute at unsociable hours? And a raise?

It used to bug me a bit the way Isabruja would talk directly to the camera, but then I realized that she is exactly the sort of person who would have imaginary admiring paparazzi following her around, eager to hear all her thoughts, and crazy enough to talk out loud to her imaginary audience.

LOL!! Julia!! good one!! i had thought the same thing, since Isa seems to be the only one to look at the camera when she is saying her own thoughts... WEIRDO!!!
will she complete the journey into the Land of the Nuts by the FIN??

and we thought Ana was weird with her 'tinkerbell' friend on her shoulder.

I'd rather see Isabela talk to herself than to a cartoon fairy the way that Ana does. Isabela reminds me of someone I know who makes fun of people by making faces if she thinks no one's watching.

Instead of Ana talking to a fairy, she could be getting a second opinion from her reflection in the mirror.

Wow, Marta thanks and all the comments awesome points all.

I could do without all the run up, extended focus on and joking about these guys getting some. Just ridiculous.

Diana, I didn't think anything could top that creep in PSMA and going for a young naive girl but here we are and I think they'll go there again. Worrisome

EB, It makes perfect sense. Fernando does have his cake and if Ana were willing eat it too. I love it she does her best to avoid the clown.

Don't bother me at all, Isabela talks right at me. I will relish it even more when she gets hers and asks us for help.

I don't think Fernando will help Ana one bit and so far he hasn't lifted a finger.

I don't understand why this producer/director thinks shaking knees with the sound effects are so funny. Um, they aren't. And it kinda cheapens the ACTUAL comedy that is going on.

I don't like the way all the guys were joking and bonding over getting some, either. Like the saying goes, a gentleman has no memory. And no locker room talk about it either before or after! (Aside from a young dude like Nando discreetly getting some thoughtful guidance. But even he didn't need to be quite so oversharing with all his "we're doin' it TONIGHT!!!")

This producer is notorious for stupid, annoying sound effects that are never funny.

What's with that, anyway? I find that a big turn-off.

I hope someone from Mexico checks in. I'd love to know how Mexican parents really handle sex ed.

isn't the producer Osorio? no wonder. do you remember how graphical both he and Niurka used to be while they were married and going through divorce? please! spare us the details!

I'd guess it varies wildly, much as it does here. I wonder how much effective education they get on the subject in school, though.

I'm glad the telenovelas are making more of a point of encouraging both condom use and the consent/courtesy/sensitivity stuff Diego talked about with Nando, but I wish they would take it a little further if they are going to be PSA-ish about it. Like mentioning that condoms can fail and you need a second method of contraception if you're really serious about not having a pregnancy. And they could have some more clear, direct, detailed conversations about what is consent and what is not. It seems like it should be plain enough, but clearly is a message a large number of people need to hear. There have been a number of times in the telenovelas I've watched where people had sex in a way that was, at best, VERY shady consent-wise, and I didn't like how that was glossed over or brushed off or treated as okay.

It seems just great to me that a teenage grandson can talk so openly about sex with his Grandfather. Parents and Grandparents are guides in a boys life and plenty of 17 yr olds are having sex these days. It seems to me that they have a very open and trusting relationship. How wonderful! The Victorian era has long passed.

Los Miserables started yesterday on Telemundo!
