La Malquerida, capitulo 36. 10/13/14.
Skipping the old.....
we're back at the fight and German aka big sexy questions Danilo on why he has possession of Ale's ring. Danilo says German has no right questioning him since he and Ale are no longer together. If he is in possession of it, it is because she gave it to him.
Esteban angrily walks towards Acacia and Ulises, then decides to slow his roll. He calls out her name and says he thought she no longer wanted to see Ulises. Acacia says they talked and worked it out. After all a girl can change her mind. Esteban says if she wants to believe Ulises, then he has nothing more to say and starts to leave. Ulises calls him back. He reiterates that what he told Acacia was the truth and he will demonstrate it. Esteban says he just needs to prove himself to her. If this is what she wants, he will respect her decision. If he breaks your heart again, I will be the first to be there for you.
German aka big sexy doesn't believe that Ale would give Danilo the ring. She never took it off. Danilo says he was the one that pulled her out of the hell hole she was in. (Ummm..not exactly as I remember. I believe you were the one who put her in hell, dipsh!t). so you know who abused her says German and starts fighting again with Danilo. Norberto runs up and breaks the fight. Norberto tells Danilo that he doesn't have to explain anything to German about his business. He no longer works for me or lives in my house. Danilo tells Norberto not to worry about it. They were having a discussion on his breakup with Ale. He's also jealous in my relationship with Ale. Do you think it's nothing replies German. I love Ale. Norberto says it's best they break up. That girl was a bad influence in German's life. German doesn't agree. He will always be grateful that she supported him. He walks off. Norberto says he was worried that German found out about Danilo's other business. Danilo assures him he will never tell anyone that Norberto visits one of his girls. I'm glad that you don't want Ale for your son. I want her for myself.
Acacia is bothered by Esteban. She doesn't like that he's mad at her. Ulises tells her that her stepfather's opinion shouldn't weight so heavy on her. She wants him to understand that she cares for Esteban greatly. I have done so much damage to him and my mother in the past. Did you know my mother didn't want to have other children because she feared by reaction? (I say if she didn't act like a spoiled, inconsiderate little girl, things would be different). Ulises says it's all in the past. If I can't win their love, then he hopes he can win there trust. I'm just glad that they have your back and want the best for you. Don't worry. I will never fail you again. (and he just sealed their fate. Guess he has never seen a novela before).
Norberto wants to know why Danilo wants Ale for himself. Where did you know her from? Does she know about your business? Danilo lies and says she doesn't know a thing. The reason he distanced himself from her was because she thinks he's a nice decent man. He didn't want her to know the truth. Norberto thinks she's a decent girl, just a bad influence on his son. Danilo wants to dedicate his life from now on, on only having legal business. For her. Norberto thinks it's a great idea. He doesn't want Esteban finding out. It will cause them a lot of problems. Danilo thinks as long as they are discreet, they can keep on helping each other. Danilo has a favor to ask.
Cris is waiting for Acacia when there's a knock on the door. It's Esteban. He came to tattle tale on Acacia that she is with Ulises. Cris admits she already knows. Esteban goes to leave but she calls him back. Esteban understands that anything to do with Acacia is her business. Cris invites him to come in. Esteban reiterates that he will respect her decisions when it comes to Acacia. I just told her that I would not get in the way of her relationship with that guy. I will do what you say, what you ask when it comes to them. I just want to support you. He goes to leave but Cris calls him back again. They gaze into each others eyes and the smooching starts. And some necking. Then it looks like they might do the deed.
Danilo tells Norberto that the first time German aka big sexy saw him talking to Ale, he got jealous. He could tell that I was not indifferent to Ale. Norberto wants to know the favor he asks. Danilo wants Norberto not to give German or Ale any work. That way German will learn his lesson and I can get closer to Ale. Once German runs out of money, he will see that you are right and give up his painting. Norberto thinks its a great idea and if German keeps painting, he's out of the house. Danilo says with respect to Ale. Once she sees German has nothing, she wouldn't want to be with him. She will stop being a bad influence on your son and I will have the road clear. Norberto agrees. He has given German everything and this is how he repays him. Danilo advises Norberto to stay strong no matter how much German or Juliana begs him to help. Norberto says he controls Juliana and he will be steadfast with German. He will never forgive German. Norberto leaves and Danilo makes a call. He tells the lady on the phone that he needs to get a hold of Ale.
Juliana tells Manuel what she found out about buying a space for his game business. The only thing is, they have to come up with the down payment to hold it. Manuel advises her to get the money from his dad. Juliana says she can't ask him for anything now. He's still mad at me in regards to German. But if you ask him, he will not deny you. I don't want any more problems with him. By the way, what did you mean when you told him that you don't want to recall certain events and that he had to support you? He promised to help me and if he wants me to be with Acacia, he will just have to do it.
Cris and Esteban are cuddling after their lovemaking. She tells him how much she loves him as he stares off in the distance. She says when she finally thinks she knows all his tricks, he pulls out something to please her more. Esteban says we are made for each other. I need to remember that everyday. Cris didn't catch that and asks him what he said. Esteban just says they need to be together. Find something to do to surprise each other all the time. It has been 10 years since I asked you to start a life with me. Without distractions. At times, my job takes me away from you. But I want to be more closer to you. More than ever. You are the love of my life and I think that putting more distance with Acacia would be best. Cris questions him on this. He says he thinks that he put to much importance on Acacia accepting him. Cris reminds him that he only did it to make her happy. He knows how much having a complete family means to her. Thanks to your patience and attentiveness, she adores you. Esteban agrees, but thinks Acacia needs to live her life and they need to live theirs together. Forever. They cuddle.
Ale is asleep when there is a knock on the door. Rosa comes in and brings her a phone. She thinks it's Acacia but finds out it's a man looking for her from the association.
Esteban wants to shower with Cris before he leaves. Cris thinks he should stay and have dinner with her and Acacia. Esteban declines. He thinks it's better that they dine with Ulises and he returns home. He will think of her and miss her everyday until she returns. I think second round is starting up.
Acacia and Ulises are taking selfies. Acacia notices the time and thinks they need to go see her mother. Ulises wants to talk to her mother and Esteban. He wants them to know that he plans to win back their trust. Acacia again says she' concerned about Esteban. He looked upset seeing them together again. I don’t you guys to fight again. Either to do I replies Ulises. But I have to show my face. Acacia wants to talk to them alone. He can make amends back at the hacienda. Let things cool down a bit.
Danilo yells at a guy for not watching his back. He was getting beat up and where was he? The guy apologizes but wanted to make sure everything was hidden like he was told. Danilo yells that the guy should also pay attention to what goes on outside too. He then yells for the maid, who comes into the room afraid. He orders that from now on, she will be making sure the desk and everything in the room is in order. Figure out how you will move the desk on your own. He then orders her out and tells the guy that the next time German sets foot on the property, shoot to kill.
Cris tells Esteban she ran into an old friend who happens to own the gallery. He offered to showcase my photos and German's paintings. Esteban is glad that she wants to showcase her work. Cris would love it but isn't sure it will happen. I worry that Norberto will not allow German to paint. I tried talking to him but he became belligerent. Esteban understands that Norberto is a control freak but will not allow him to disrespect her. Cris doesn't want them to fight. She knows that Norberto listens to him and wonders if perhaps he can talk to him.
Ale is outside when German shows up. She hugs him but he pushes her away. He asks if it's true that she gave Danilo the ring. He shows it to her.
Acacia comes into the room and Cris lets her know that Esteban left. She gets onto Acacia for calling Esteban. What problems they have should be resolved by them. He is her husband.
Ale wants the ring back. So it's true what Danilo said asks German. Why didn't you tell me? Because I knew you wouldn't like it says Ale. I thought we were finally getting somewhere says German. You knew that I would support you in everything no matter what happened to you in the past. He told me he supported you in your worst moments. What does that mean? Danilo is the one that took me out of my house replies Ale. So you were abused at your house questions German. Was it your dad? Ale begs him to drop the subject. German just can't stand imaging all the pain she has suffered all these years. You owe me an explanation. I can't believe that the love we have just finishes so quickly. I don't understand. Ale admits that Danilo is the one that took her out of her mother's house and gave her work. Then he fell in love with me. Did you fall for him asks German. It's true that he gave me this ring replies Ale. It was for our commitment. That is why I always had it on. So you were going to marry Danilo asks German. Yes replies Ale. That is why I couldn't stand anything physical between us. The only thing I had to remember him by was the ring. That is why I gave it back to him when I saw him again. Now you have your explanation. Now go. Instead German kisses her. He says that she got over her past and they were able to make love. Ale says it just confused her more. Now that she is able to get over her past and seeing Danilo....You want to get back with him finishes German. Ale nods her head. So there is nothing more to say. Goodbye Ale. He runs off and she shouts for him not to leave.
Acacia asks Cris to forgive her. She just wanted to help. Cris understands but it was her decision to call him or not. She has respected her decisions with Ulises and wants the same from her. This relationship is not of friends, but mother and daughter. It is my job to protect and watch over you. Not the reverse. Acacia understands and thanks her for allowing her to talk to Ulises. They made up but she feels bad because Esteban is upset. Did he get bad because you supported me? Is that why he left? No replies Cris. He left because he knows these days are just for the two of us. He did get a little upset seeing you with Ulises. You don't have to worry. I am glad that you have come to care for Esteban.
Juan Carlos shows Esteban the process they have made on the new bodega. Esteban says that he and Cris made up. Things are better than ever and hope it will continue. Juan Carlos wants to know if Esteban also saw his granddaughter. Yes, but she was with Ulises replies Esteban. That guy convinced her again to get back together.
Ulises comes back to work in a good mood. Nuria comments on this and finds out that Ulises is back with Acacia. He wants to make sure there is no confusion in the future. Nuria agrees. She kind of has a crappy attitude talking to him about business but he doesn't notice it or cares.
Cris informs Acacia that she and Esteban made up. Of course Acacia is happy and thinks the scolding was worth it. Now both she and Cris are back with the men they love. Cris asks if she's sure she wants to get back with Ulises. Acacia says it was all a misunderstanding. He explained and she believes him. Cris advises her to talk things over next time.
Norberto storms into German's room, throwing things around. He finds a drawing and rips it up. He continues searching for more. He calls for the maid and orders her to tell him where the rest of German's paintings are. She swears she doesn't know. He orders her to get the capataz.
Juliana comes by and tells Ulises that she is going to buy a store for Manuel's business. He wants to make money and prove that he is not just like any other man. Ulises offers to get Nuria for her and leaves.
More girl talk between Acacia and Cris.
The contractor brings Juliana a chair and offers her a beverage. She declines and suddenly hears whistles. It's Perla strutting her stuff. She introduces herself to Juliana and mistakes her for a salesgirl. Of course not says Juliana.
Esteban tells Juan Carlos that he's worried Ulises will hurt Acacia again. Juan Carlos assures him that he will speak with Acacia and Cris and watch to make sure everything is well. Esteban thanks him and says he needs stop meddling in Acacia's life. Rubio interrupts. Juan Carlos leaves. Rubio informs Esteban that he finished what was told of him to do in El Soto. He wonders if Cris found out anything and sent him packing. Everything worked out replies Esteban. Then why did you leave questions Rubio. Because these days away are for Cris and Acacia replies Esteban. For her to take care of Acacia and for me to stop meddling. Cris is the love of my life and I will not lose that to a forbidden passion. It could end up destroying me. Rubio is in agreement.
Perla apologizes for mistaking Juliana for a salesgirl. She just came to pay for her store and shows her A2. Juliana says she came to pay for that location herself. Ulises and Nuria walk up and upon hearing this, questions Nuria.
The capataz comes into German's room. Norberto wants to know where the paintings are. The capataz thinks he's talking about painting the house and says he doesn't know where. Norberto wants to know about the paintings you do on canvases. The capataz says he has never seen any. Then he says perhaps they are in the room where Ale use to stay. Of course replies Norberto. He asks for the keys and pulls out his pocket knife.
Nuria says it must be a mistake. She told her she couldn't hold the spot without money. Juliana can't believe they are selling that spot to Perla. Ulises says pretty much to bad so sad. She filled out a contract. Juliana is not happy. Nuria offers to show her other locations. Juliana hopes that business from here on out will go smoothly. Ulises reassures her of this. Juliana says even though I appreciate you saving my son, he went in after Acacia. This doesn't mean I like you and will allow you to treat me as a fool. Perla is flirty with the men.
Norberto goes into Ale's old place and finds some paints. He starts throwing things around looking for the paintings.
Ulises tells Perla that they will honor her contract. He wonders about her name. Perla says it was her old name but her husband chose Perla as her new one. He says I’m more valuable than a pearl. She shows him her pearls that he gave her.
Juliana asks Nuria if she really is going to get that exact location for her. Nuria tells her to let her handle it. She presents the contract and asks her to sign. Juliana again worries about Perla refusing to accept another location but Nuria promises to convince her. I will tell her I have a bigger location for her. She just wants to spend money. Juliana says she may have money but no class. Nuria asks that Juliana not comment to anyone on her location until she fixes things.
Norberto barges into Ale's old room and finds the paintings. He shreds them all with his knife. German comes in and asks if Norberto is crazy. Norberto says he will finish everything that German started. They fight over the knife while Norberto tells German to respect him. German asks for him to respect him.
Manana: Esteban decides to forget his feelings for Acacia but she doesn't help any. She wants him to show her to ride.

I was told this evening by Vivi, that Mads is more sick than we thougt. I ask that we all include her in our thoughts and prayers. She is such a wonderful person and will need the Caray family to support her.
Unfortunately, she will not be able to recap anymore. If anyone wishes to help out that will be great. I will do as much as I can, but right now my schedule is busy. Oh! Our Madeleine is very sick? That’s very upsetting news. I had assumed it was just a bug. Now I’m going to worry – I know we all will and that we’ll be rooting for her.

That final fight between German and Norberto with a knife between them looked like it could end badly. And in my area, there were no previews, which added to my anxiety about what would happen to German, who continues to have the worst day EVER. Getting stabbed by his father would just be lopsided icing on his crappy cake.
I'm pretty sure Dan is the one who told Ale to say that stuff to German. What a sinister combination of half truths and twisted lies. Blech!
Cris is out of birth control pills and she and Este just did the deed...I'm totally on pregnancy watch. Between Cris and Ale, someone has to end up knocked up, right?

My lack of Spanish language comprehension skills made last night very difficult to watch. I was so frustrated I could not follow the anguished conversations that took place, most notably between Ale and German, German and Danilo and Norberto and Danilo.

Madelaine, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you return to good health. With your family's support, I know you'll do what you have to do to feel better. You are much missed here.
Gloria – Fabulous recap. That Esteban is slick and with this sentence you captured just how he operates: It's Esteban. He came to tattle tale on Acacia that she is with Ulises.
I wish I could help with recapping, but LM is one of the more sophisticated TNs (at least, for me) and there’s detail in the conversations that I miss. Like Diana, I can add actions/bullet points in my comments.
I know Ale has endured horrible emotional and physical abuse from age 13, but German is not a yo-yo. She needs to bite the bullet and tell him everything. How ironic is it that even though she hasn’t told him all in order to protect him from Danilo, German could easily get killed by Danilo or even his Dad anyway?
Very low of Juliana and Nuria to diss Perla. Not to mention, Nuria is unprofessional as well as criminal. Perla should have first divs on that parcel. Ulises, haven’t you seen enough already to fire Nuria? You can count on Esteban to spin this in his favor.

Niecie- They (Ale, Dan, and Norb) all seem to think German will just accept things, shrug his shoulders, and walk away. That's not the way he works. He may be quiet and watchful most of the time, but he's also deeply passionate (about his art and Ale) and very protective. They are doing a good job of ripping his heart to shreds though, so good job Ale, Dan, and Norb.
Gringo- The lawyer told Ale that since the victim is no longer a minor, she would have to get another witness to testify that the abuse took place when the victim was a minor. Considering that would have to be Perla, Ale didn't see much hope there. The only other recourse for taking Dan down was to prove that he is continuing to run a brothel. Ale has no proof of this not any idea if/where Dan is still doing this biz. Perla told her that Dan lost the biz in San Jacinto due to her fault, and both Perla and Dan have told her that he is now in legit biz. When she looked into his files in the Association, she saw the proof that he really is cultivating cotton (she has no idea that he is cultivating anything else).
So basically, if she accuses him of what he did to her, she has no witness to back her up. She has no proof that he is still in the biz or proof of it in the past. She knows he's well connected and powerful (Norberto is a favorite client). So basically, if she accuses him of what he did to her, she has no witness to back her up. She has no proof that he is still in the biz or proof of it in the past. She knows he's well connected and powerful (Norberto is a favorite client). It’s a mystery to me that nobody in the association has gone by to see if Dan actually has any cotton fields. You don’t grow cotton on a wooded hillside, which is where he has his “offices”.
To start growing cotton, he would need to buy a large chunk of land known to be favorable for it, which of course the association would be aware of if such land actually had been for sale.
Or maybe they accept people who are just cotton dealers? I don’t check in every day, so maybe this has already been discussed.
I liked German’s art better when he was just starting out, when he was using Van Gogh-like colors. I wonder whose art they are using to film this….

I wonder if Mexico ever does what the police do around my rural area. Here,they send helicopters out to find maijuana growing in the corn fields. The high growing corn stalks are great cover.

Maggie- I just like to look stuff up when I have a question. :) Like you I wondered who did all the "German" pieces, so I googled. Not very scientific. LOL! Apparently, Africa traveled with him to Miami when her piece was part of his recent show that was traveling across Mexico and a few places in the US. Yes, he does seem to have a thing for shoes and feet. Hmm... I think it's cool that his work gets to be featured so prominently in a tn that's shown around the world. What exposure for an artist!
Well Vivi, It looks like there is no way out for Alejandra then. Perla? I don't think that she would help---unless, well maybe if her new business in A2 goes south and Danilo doesn't back her up getting that location. She, Perla could turn bitter at that point and go against Dan. Only then would she possibly be any help to Ale.

Ale still needs to just tell every one of her friends about her past and Danilo. In addition to Acacia, Cris, Esteban, and German should be told. No one else needs to know at first.
Even if they have no proof, Esteban could kick Dan out of the Association, and maybe investigate further.
But all of this would need to be done quickly and surprise Dan before he can cover his tracks. This will be difficult because: 1) Dan has spies within, like Rubio, who would tip him off first; and 2) German would lose it and go after Dan immediately- both tipping him off, and possibly resulting in a tragedy (there's already a shoot to kill order). I can really see why Ale is so set on handling this herself, and keeping other out of it. But it sure would relieve her psychological/emotional burden if she let more people help (or try to help).
