Mi Corazón Es Tuyo: Just Another Day In The Life.....

Cap 54

•       Fernando has given Diego his blessing to pursue Ana.  They shake on it.  He later tells Fanny.  She deals as best she can.

Don Nicolas is still having difficulty dealing with the reality of his old age and the social restrictions regarding adopting.  He and Ana have a heart to heart about it.

Jens gets a follow-up visit by her OB-Gyne and learns that she still has her ovaries.  The wheels start turning in her head.  (In vitro fertilization alert!  Will Ana be the surrogate mother for her?  Hmmm.)

Isabela’s credit cards are being refused.  She calls Don Ferd in the middle of his chat with Diego and learns he’s set limits to them --to avoid the huge debts like she had before getting married, he explains to Diego.  Bela goes ballistic  over the phone and DF cannot understand why.  (Viewerville screams at the set to DF: “—Get A Clue!   Hmmm.  How about ‘gold-digger’ for instance? )

Bruno cannot escape the police.  He’s taken downtown to the city lock-up in cuffs.  He does get to make his one phone call.  It’s to Manuela who’s chatting with Ana who takes the news to Don Nico who races down to the station and learns Bruno’s secret.  Bruno tells Nico he’s worried that he never made it to the appointment.

Johnny keeps stumble-bumbling his way through various lots of Televisa.  He stops a fight scene thinking it’s for real.  The director has her aide show him to Del Prado’s office.  Unfortunately, Sr. Del Prado waited as long as he could for him but had other appointments off property and won’t be returning.

Ana, meantime, shows Luz the beautiful dress she’s making for Alicia to wear to her quinceañera.  However, Ali and Bela had their own ideas.  Luz gives Ana her allowance to use towards the dress but Ana doesn’t want it.  However it comes in handy a bit later when Ana goes shopping for shoes for the dress and spies a crown that would go perfectly with the dress.  She either buys the crown with Luz’s money or thinks about it and then gets it on credit.  (Heartbreaker alert!)

Nico and Seb trade dance moves and discuss Seb’s aversion to Bela.

Fanny, Enrique and Don Ferd enter the investor’s meeting.

Curly Locks DJ, Fanny’s  abusive ex-boyfriend, comes by the house looking for 11 year-old Seb for some reason.  Maybe it's to get the kid to dance with his band, Sincope's, group even though he is not "of age".   (I just don't see this happening, really.  I still am waiting for my beanie to get out of the shop.)  Ana gives him the evil eye and tells him she doesn’t trust him as far as she can throw him since, essentially, a tiger never changes his stripes (or a leopard his spots?).  Alicia recognizes him as part of the popular band she wanted to play at her quinceañera and is in luhhhhhv.  Briana gets Curly Locks’s band to agree to play for it.  He chats up Seb afterwards in the kitchen and mentions he doesn’t need or want anymore trouble with the Lascurains.

Back in the board room, Ricky and DF discuss the prospects and the company earnings.

Johnny arrives at the Lascurain manse at the same time Bela and Yomama get back from the bank bust.  Ali and Bela go shopping for party dresses for Ali.

Johnny is now moaning to Ana about Jennifer getting married to somebody else.  He can’t handle the emotional pressure.  However, he’s is happy that she’s dating Diego.

I guess, the company profits aren’t as high as projected.  In fact, though there’s been growth it’s been less than the two previous years.   Rich-Bitch-in-a-Bun tells the others that DF has failed them and that she wants a vote to kick him out of his position.  They take the vote.

Jardinera, thanks for the great recap. What a fun way to start the day! "Ritch-Bitch-in-a-Bun" is a keeper.

It was sad hearing Nico trying to come to terms with his age and the younger Jennifer. The fact that they managed to save one of Jennifer's ovaries should solve that problem.

So from Diego's own mouth we are told that the whole Estefanía mess was never Fernando's fault because she didn't love Diego anyway. So Diego could not have told him that years ago and maybe have avoided some of the bad feelings if not the jealousy? This made me ask the legendary "¿qué? ¿qué? what?"

I sure enjoyed Isabela's tantrum at the "Quince" venue along with Yolanda complaining about the limit on "our" card. At least Fernando did not cave . It seems that the plan for revenge on the twins is still on Yolanda's agenda as she seemed to have a revenge idea when seeing the twins doing their homework. I cannot wait to see what that is going to be.

Bad news that the blonde board member wants Fernando out. What I really did not like about this scene is now Enrique knows about Fernando's vulnerability with at least one board member. It was good for Fanny to see how life is for her father in the real world.

It might have been good for Ana to give somebody like Fernando a heads up about the dress she has for Alicia's quince. Without any other adult knowing, Alicia is going to be out looking for and buying another dress that she might end up liking better. Looks like there could be a "dress mess". I still wonder how much they ended up paying for the venue.

Great work, Jardinera.

Please, please, no; Ana should not be the surrogate for Jennifer. She is the sort of friend who would do this but she is too vulnerable right now. Not to mention how badly this would weird out Fernando and Diego because that baby would be their half-sibling.

Rich-Bitch-in-a-Bun is a definite keeper of a descriptor. Not to mention that she has to have some other reason to have it in for Fernando. Maybe he once rejected her advances?

I agree that Ana should have told some adult about the dress she made. Fernando, Bruno, Nick, Diego, Bruno? It doesn't matter which of them; any of them could help avert the inevitable disaster.

I think I meant to add Manuela there. So much for posting pre-caffeine.

If Ana became pregnant now Doroteo would probably kill her. He needs to sleep with the fishes.

Is it Cecilia Galiano playing the part of the blonde board member who wants to get rid of Fernando? She was certainly enjoyable in De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero.

Add me to those who love the "Ritch-Bitch-in-a-Bun" lovers Jardinera! She was a piece of work. This recap was awesome.

Honestly, that board meeting wasn't exactly far-fetched. Not making plan or forecast can very much be your exit card in the corporate world. But now begs the question on how this company is set up...is he simply the CEO/President or is he controlling stock holder? Would he stay on as such and someone else do the running day to day? This could be interesting and of course we will see Enrique worm is way in. I was wondering if he got to that woman ahead of time?
And whatever happened to that older woman at the start of this TN that was going to invest?

Don't like the fertility storyline if they will pull Ana into this. Not at all...that becomes a two pregnant woman at the same time with Ana and Isa, plus as pointed out, becomes a sibling of the brothers. Just eek! Get another surrogate please if they go this route.

Isa losing it about the credit card should have made Fer go red and if that doesn't give him a clue, I truly give up on him. This is one situation he should not back down on. Watching Isa was like watching an addict being refused their drug.

I think Luz will be the one to spill to someone about the dress. Question will be who?

Daisynjay

great recap, Jardinera!!
that's who it is!! Cecilia Galiano! a.k.a. Mark Tacher's girl, a.k.a. 'Sabadazo' coh-host.
ok, Jardinera, you had me skipping a breath... the one that got a visit from the OBGYN was Jennifer... and yes, i thought the same thing... surrogate mother hat for Ana... and i am with UA... SAY IT AIN"T SO!!

wow, DaisynJay, good point about the surrogate baby would be sibling to the Lascurain brothers.. eeww indeed...

ok, as far as i understood, the Costena company, just like any other company (pretty much) in the consumables market in the last 6 years or so has lost market value (Fer and Reeky said about 3%, which is pretty insignificant compared to other companies i have heard of). so that is what this woman was complaining about, she is a stock owner and was blaming the 'loss' in market value to Fernando, which is unfair, but as Daisy said, being the Prez, 'the buck stops at him'. Fernando should not have been so confident that the board members would see it as normal as he sees it.

Anon. 07:01:00 AM --Thanks for adding a few more of the details re: the Diego confession that he knew Estefania really never did love him. True it could have saved 20 years of family grief, but Diego was dealing with a baby brother inferiority complex and he's never gotten over that, IMHO.
========
Martai: Thanks re the correction! It's been made. Whew! That was me sin cafe.

I am going to have to watch the "dress mess" through my fingers. I'll have my hands over my eyes when this sk!t hits the fan.

Possibly Mani will carry the babe to be if that works out. But it's just too weird for this type of supposed comedy. The fact that the viable ovary bidnez was mentioned, tho', makes me wonder how far they'll take this idea.

Yomama stealing all those candies in the banker's (?) candy dish was so typical of these two. Brought a crooked sort of smile to my lips......

True, too, that now Icky Qique is making note of all Don Ferd's corporate vulnerabilities. I do wonder if his daddy's stroke was caused by competition or a buy-out or some such.

Dear Jardinera,

Witty and smart as always. I hope that everything is evening out with your husband's health, by the way.

One small possible correction -- I may have misunderstood. I thought that Ana was buying the tiara and shoes on credit rather than with Luz' money. It makes no difference except that once again Ana puts herself in the financial hole for others.

A little bit of reality poking its ugly head into this otherwise very realistic story (NOT!). Fernando seems not to have reviewed the presentation before the board saw it. Given the nature of the discussion, he might well have done that. He does seem to be spending all of his time sorting out domestic problems lately.

The dress debacle. Loved what you said about watching it through your fingers, Jardinera. Sooo painful to anticipate, let alone watch.

Jardinera, I was only able to see a few scattered minutes of this so thank you for your excellent recap.

"Ritch-Bitch-in-a-Bun" was perfection. "Johnny keeps stumble-bumbling his way through various lots of Televisa" and "She buys the crown with Luz’s money. (Heartbreaker alert!)" were other favorites.

Alicia's crush on "Curly Locks DJ" has disaster written all over it. Let's hope he does not encourage her. Fanny's disasterous romance with Leon (and repulsive rebound Enrique possibly waiting in the wings) is more than enough. Ack.

I appreciate all the comments, especially that Este didn't love Diego.

I agree with Anon and UA in that Ana should have shared that she was making the dress. With someone. Anyone. Another flicker waiting to burst into fire.

Diana

whether the other stockowners can 'dethrone' or take down Fernando from the Prez chair depends on how much stock Fernando controls. if between him, his dad and possibly his brother they control over 50%, they can't take him down. if he is the largest stockowner but does not control at least 50%, his job is indeed in jeopardy.

the dress debacle...yes, it will be interesting to see how that unfolds...
here are some possibilities:
1. the dress Isa and Alicia want is not ready in time and Ana and Luz come to the rescue (unlikely)
2. someone sabotages (destroys) the dress Ana and Luz had made for Alicia and they go to show it to her and it is a shredded mess.
3. Alicia hates Ana's dress it gets offensive, and then wears the one Isa bought.
4. somehow Alicia does not find out that Ana and Luz made the dress... or she thinks it was made by someone else, like YoMama
(unlikely)
5. Luz is the one that tells Alicia that Ana had made her a dress and Alicia doesn't even bother seeing it... (too bad, Alicia, Luz will be happy to put it away and wear it to HER sweet 15).

what i am anxiously waiting for is Fernando's reaction to the 'all out' celebration Isa has planned for Alicia..

btw, I believe Fernand asked Isa to let him speak to the 'club' employee so he could make other arrangements to pay for the reservation... i doubt he would deny Alicia this... maybe that is why he wanted Betty to do him a favor (like go pay with HIS card or stte)

I don't think Ana took Luz's money at all. she thanked her for the offer but she refused. (I could be wrong though) that is why she put just a 'down payment' on the shoes and tiara. they were 1500 pesos altogehter and she had only about 270

Anon 7:01 was Jarifa

Thanks Jardinera. I'm on the RBIAB wagon too.

Looks to me Ricky and the board member are in cahoots to force Fernando out and Ricky in.

Please, please don't have Ana be a surrogate.

Again, I like Nic & I like Jenny but the guy is almost 40 years her senior.

Fernando & Diego should have had this conversation 20 years ago. It's one thing for Fanny Sr to love Fernando and not Diego but quite another for Fernando to marry Diego's girlfriend (and woman he loved) without at least a heart to heart with his brother. Diego is so much the better man.

I understand Fernando putting a limit on Isabela's spending however he acted in his normal cowardly way and did it without telling her or discussing finances or his real displeasure.

Juan - No Trespassing

Isabela - "No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down"

Yolanda - I am picking on someone my own size

Ana - well they got lay a way at K mart

Ricky - don't look at me, I just got here

Jenny - wonder if Karina over at De Quero Te Quero Te Quero would let me rent her womb

Bruno - this never happened on Smokey & The Bandit

Gus - Leif Garrett wanna be

Actually I would love to see Fer ratchet Alicia's party down a few notches. This borders on one of those go-awful MTV "sweet 16" parties of the rich and spoiled.
Sad that the DJ guy is supposed to be a jerk because, I'm sorry, he's a cutie. That smile is a killer. Bet we see more of this young actor in TN's to come. Now, he and Alicia...please lord no.

I really am so MEH on the Sebas as a dancer scenes. I realize this is nepotism to the Nth degree giving him this plot and air time, so it won't end soon. Bummer.

Rewatched the scene with Diego and Fer this morning since I missed with a phone call, and I don't think this was a great scene in that both brothers came to a light bulb moment. Diego left town still festering from having the woman he adored and loved choose his brother. He hung on to the resentment and "love" all that time. When he came back, he was willing to work thru that for his father's sake, though not entirely over losing Fanny Sr. But experiencing all this with Ana, he sees the real emotional pull and seeing his brother on the losing end now, he gets it better as to how everythign played out back in the day. Ana just makes everything all better doesn't she? Even when she didn't do it herself.

Daisynjay

Should say I thought it WAS a great scene...I hate auto correct on Kindle!! Just sayin'

Daisynjay

DaisynJay, great point in the Diego/Fer scene...
...experiencing all this with Ana, he sees the real emotional pull and seeing his brother on the losing end now, he gets it better as to how everythign played out back in the day. I think so too... and it is now Diego who has 'got the girl' and Fernando the one that must give her up... so Diego knows what Fer is feeling now (whether Fernando is the one that CHOSE that path is another thing)

When is Ana gonna get something back? Seems after she got the second job and the love of the kids she's become a punching bag though continuing to give (including life lessons to adults) and in return she gets her bestie trying to shove her to Diego and me worrying she will become a womb for a friend. She's in debt up to her eyeballs (why didn't Nic try to pay her back for Jenny), maneuvered out of the big house and now spent more of her money (while daddy is clueless and left everything up to Isabela) for the dress and she will get the short end. I guess that Diego is supposed to be her consolation prize by default but she doesn't love him and never will.

Thanks Jardinera, your recaps are always excellent and wickedly funny.

There are so many potential disasters lining up that it is difficult to single out which deserve to be addressed.

I'm actually enjoying Johnny's excellent adventure... quite the mini-odyssey. Not exactly his fault as it turns out. The girls at reception initially didn't seem to know that he was expected and then gave him faulty directions. Now del Prado's gone... inefficiency or incompetence at TELEVISA? Who could have guessed?

I agree with all the rest of you... why the heck doesn't Ana share with someone about the dress? Does she think that Alicia and Isabela are waiting around for a dress to magically appear? Thanks for the list of possibilities, Marta. I am, however, hoping that ultimately Ana's creation ends up being utilized and appreciated.

Surely Jenny won't be asking Ana to lend her her uterus... will she?

tofie,

"Yolanda - I am picking on someone my own size"

Heh heh. Now this could be fun.

Carlos

Thank you for the recap!

I don't think it was a coincidence that the person from the Board, or whatever, who vehemently wants Fer out, is a woman. I think Reeky has already gotten to her. She seemed way to overboard for me. Not professional in any way.

Poor Ana is going to be so hurt by the dress thing I think.

The previews show Diego making a grand gesture of asking Ana to be novios. Why do I feel disaster for Diego is on the horizon also. Too sad. I feel like this is JL from LQLVMR all over again. Good guy gets screwed, personality change, then back, then dead.

Thank you Jardinera, with all this ruckus she is causing, we didn't even get an name for the woman board member. My thoughts are that Enrique knows her already and they are planning this together. Maybe we'll find out tomorrow it this is true.

We still don't know Bruno's secret. Why does it have to be a secret to us?

It's to be expected that Alicia will go out shopping to get a dress, she will need one. What does Ana expect by keeping the dress she made for her a secret?

They better not have Gus and Alicia be a couple. We're already getting too many couples who are too far apart age-wise paired up as it is, Nico and Jen and Fanny and Enrique. Don't give us Gus and Alicia.

Daisynjay, I can't agree more about Sebas and his so called dancing. So we're supposed to believe that he's such a good dancer that he's performing with these older kids and everyone who was at the show the other night would cheer him on like he's so great. Please! And Gus really wants him as part of this dance group. Oy!

Carvivle, yes, we always need to be weary of those big shows of amor, Nico's engagement party, and now Diego's offer to be novios with Ana. They never end well.

Well, cathyx, when your dad's the producer, anything is possible in TN'ville. I'm guessing this little dude really does want to dance in real life, and he got a great outlet to live out his real fantasy.
Although, have to say, I had to chuckle at the whole "dancing group" selling out a club and causing screaming girls to descend. Maybe this is a "thing" in Mexico, but I asked my younger friends and they were "Ah, no, you better be singing with that dancing. The whole group dancing thing is sort of passé". Poor Sebas.

Tofie--I agree it's so frustrating to see Ana being everyone's something, but she also has this tremendous pride that makes her insist on making these sacrifices for the people she loves, or to do things on her own. What she needs is someone, Diego or whoever, to step up and say "Enough...you are not in this alone" and start to help without her asking and not allow her to refuse. Guess story wise we aren't there yet...but I do want to draw the line on becoming a baby incubator. Lovely idea, but not when you are a nanny to 7 kids, dancing at all hours and under unbelievable stress with the Brujas around.

Daisynjay

Thank you, Jardinera! Excellent work.

Ana should have surprised Alicia with the dress already. How does she think keeping it a secret is going to work? Of course Alicia is going to think she needs to buy a dress and go shopping for one, with or without Isa's encouragement!

Fer did say he wanted to talk to Isa about the money thing later, at home, so I hope that means he isn't going to ignore it. I hope he points out that she's already proved that she is incredibly irresponsible about money, so why would he trust her and what in the hell is she spending so much on anyway, that she hit her limit even before trying to book the club? He did emphasize to her that it was a very generous limit. And BTW, Isabuffoon, NO ONE has actually UNLIMITED money.

I also think Fer should tell Isa he might lose his job and they'll have to cut back severely on spending and see how she reacts to that. Maybe once he realizes that she's only in love with his money, not him, he'll be less tolerant of her behavior.

No amount of beanie tightening is going to convince me that the hip-hopular crowd is dying to have Sebastian join them. He is barely even mediocre. I'm going to assume that this is just a scheme disGustavo is using to get at Fanny somehow.

Hello everybody and thank you for the recap, Jardinera.

I have been away for a while, first because of some traveling and then because my company decided to downsize and I was one of the un-lucky people that had to be let go (last to come, first to go type of situation).
So for the past week I've been in a very crappy mood, but things are starting to look up again, as I've found another place to work (which I would have never expected to happen so quickly).

As soon as I get into a routine with the new job I hope I'll be more present on the boards.

I do agree that Ana is receiving kicks from all places and she has no real financial support. Now that Nico is marrying Jen, at the very least Jen should accept his money for the operation and pay Ana back.
The kids are lovable and all, but they are a handful. And no money in the world could ever be enough when compared to Isa's bad treatment.

Briana is such a cutie, and so smooth at trying to cover for Alicia's totally cringe-worthy behavior in front of Gustavo without embarrassing Alicia. Nerdando should give her another look one of these days.

Adriana, take your time, been there, done that, even though it took me several months to find another job...
so i know it takes time to turn the page on that...
we will be here and you are welcome to come back when you are ready.
Julia, ITA on both your comments about Sebas and Briana. Nando SHOULD give her a second look. she has many things in common with him and NO baggage to haul.

Adriana, I know how you feel. I wish you an easier time of it than I'm having.

"Sad that the DJ guy is supposed to be a jerk because, I'm sorry, he's a cutie. That smile is a killer. Bet we see more of this young actor in TN's to come."

I think he played the jerk who tried to set Paolo up in DTQTQ.

Nando is too old for Briana right now and needs to get Ximena out of his system before embarking on any relationship with Briana. They might only be 2 or 3 years apart but Nando is dealing with situations and emotions far above Briana's experience level right now.

Gustavo seems cool with Sebas. I'm hoping dancing with Gus will give Sebas an outlet to channel his anger. Even if the Sebas actor weren't the producer's son, the character would be having a hard time. 1) Fanny Sr. told Fernando that Sebas would take her passing harder than the other 6 and 2) Sebas is THE middle child and acting out might be the only way he can be paid attention to.

I also think Sebastian and Fanny are the most emotionally vocal of the children, while Nando & Alicia are more pragmatic.

I actually enjoy Johnny stumbling through Televisa. LOL

Stumbling through Televisa like that will not work in his favor for employment.

It boggles the mind that Televisa would let a visitor go wandering around instead of having him escorted directly to wherever he was supposed to go. Even my office wouldn't do that, and our space is MUCH MUCH smaller than the Televisa studios, and we don't have tons of famous people (or, you know, any) who would have to worry about getting accosted by paparazzi or overzealous fans. Or any sensitive spaces where shows are being filmed and don't want to be interrupted.

I don't think Isabela thought things through when she let EnriQUE? talk her into recommending him to Fernando for the job. It is obvious that he (Enri) is in cahoots with "Bunny." Didn't she suggest him as a replacement for Fernando? How else would someone in her position know enough about a brand-new VP to suggest that he would make a better president? But are they trying to simply demote Fernando or oust him completely from the company? And is either even possible? And if Isabela's end game was to marry the rich guy and be set for life, how is that going to work when(if) he loses his job? She pitched such a fit when she found out her credit card had a limit, I can't wait to see what she'll do if they have to budget the whole household. After all, Fernando has SEVEN (plus one on the way) priorities ahead of her!

And, yes, Marta, you are right. Ana refused Luz's money. She only had a little money left, but she talked the sales lady into taking what she had to hold the items for her as her payday is coming up soon and she'll be back to pay the rest.

Jardinera: thanks for the recap. Thanks to all the recappers this week.

Adriana: so glad you found a job so quickly.

Luz is going to be devastated if she finds out Ali has bought a dress. Maybe Ali will see this and wear the Ana and Luz dress.

Nanette

Sorry to hear Adriana, but sometimes the job you find after going through that mess is one you enjoy even more. Hope that happens for you and you settle in soon. So Good luck and Hang in there!!

Daisynjay

definitely, DaisynJay... i thought i had interviewed for the ideal job, little did i know i only had to wait a couple more months and THE job came to me... so adriana, well wishes for a 'this or something much better' to come to you, just like it did for me.

julia, i had forgot to say your 'desGustavo' is brilliant, have to steal that one..
and 'Bunny' is great too. and no, she did not suggest Enreeky for the job, she just said Fernando should be 'destituido' (removed) from the prez spot.

OT: yay! orioles are up 2 games to none in playoffs.

“This Enrique Basurto is certainly living down to his name.” Hera shook her head.

“That much is certain,” said Athena. “Isabad is also going to suffer for it if his plan succeeds. Can you imagine her face if Fernando has to sell the mansion?”

“After that tantrum she had over the spending limit on the credit card I'm almost looking forward to it,” said Hermes.

“I'm already imagining her being expected to cook and manage a hacienda,” said Aphrodite. “And the children who hate her. That will show her true colors.”

I want Fer to say to Isa, "look, business is bad, I might be getting fired, money is tight, you need to go back to work and not just for your own spending money, but to help out with the household expenses. Either that, or start doing all the housework and we'll let the housekeepers go. And you're going to have to buy maternity clothes at Walmart or the tianguis, and nothing else new."

I wonder how fast she would leave him.

I would love for Fer to have to sell the mansion and move them all into a small humble house. Or maybe just rent out the mansion, so they can get it back before the end, and live in a smaller place so they can use the difference for food and tuition for the kids.

I think being thoroughly jolted out of his usual aloof life and the way he is so accustomed to being the authority could be really good for Fer's character development. His losing his job even temporarily could be a good thing.

It's been done before in novelas, so we should expect something like this.

Fernando can manage this. So can Nick. The kids will have to adjust, but they love their dad and abuelo so they will do whatever they need to to help.

This would be Hissabela's worst nightmare. I love it.

Isa's hissy fit was awesome! Finally she can't hide her true colors.

Julia: I think Fer losing his job would actually get both Isa and Reeky off his back immediately. Isa would lose out on the money she is so after and Reeky will have the company and his revenge, that is if Fer being thrown out is enough. He couldn't really go after Fer again until he got another job.

The sticking point is that Fer still thinks the baby is his, but maybe if he were poor or merely middle-class Isa would be only too happy to demand child support from Enfrique instead.

Isa is only sticking with Fer for the money. Once she loses that I can she is out the door, his baby or not. She'll be looking for a new sugar daddy.

well if Fernando loses his job I guess Ana will go ask for another advance at the club and be indentured for the next 10 years

That's possible, but I don't think that will happen. Diego should step up or he would lose his chance with Ana.

What is truly disturbing is that Doroteo will never let Ana or Johnny go. He's a sadistic bastard. If Ana were to become pregnant (either as Jenny's surrogate or for herself) he would probably either kill her or have her beaten within an inch of her life to cause a miscarriage.

UA: That fate for Ana is frightening and you would think they wouldn't do that in a comedy, but as Osorio proved in PEAM, he's not above doing just that. I certainly hope he doesn't go there.

I agree. I'm not a sweetness-and-light fan, but that would be too much of an about-face. As it is, Enfrique is scary enough.

This is a medical update that I received this afternoon which might be of interest to Jennie:

A 36-year-old woman who received a uterus transplant from a live donor in 2013 gave birth to a healthy baby boy in September 2014.

Mats Brännström, MD, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and colleagues describe the woman’s care in an article published online October 3 in the Lancet."

Amazing...

Carlos

Carlos: forgot to mention before--glad to have you back.

Excellent news, Carlos. Does it have to be a live donor? I wonder who Jennys could convince to give up her uterus.

Fer really needs to put the brakes on this mega-party of Alicia's. He's got seven kids! That is a really dangerously expensive precedent to set! Whatever Fanny had, which Estefi the Elder must have organized, was probably the more appropriate level of poshness and expenditure.

I hope the shoes and tiara are returnable. As much as they cost, I'm sure Isa will sneer at them and Alicia will probably follow along.

So far Ali has not been rude or uppity with Ana. It may come; however, I hope not.
