Thank you Miss Vivi, I cant fall asleep until I read your riveting recap. I am one of many extremely appreciative people that you have taken this on.

You and orher recappers take your time and energy to do this for us, and it witty and intelligent. I was waiting for this to post, but wanted to thank you first before I dig in.
 

Thanks so much, Novella Lover. I hope I covered this episode sufficiently enough for you. But I'm sure the commenters will mention and discuss any interesting things I left out. That's why this site is so awesome.
 

Oh Vivi, this was wonderful.

I often cut and paste some exceptional lines as I read them but your recap had me spellbound. I could not stop reading for even a moment.

"bullet points"?? Really! HA! This was rich and full bodied, loaded with scrumptious details and rich with humor. As Novella lover said so well "witty and intelligent". Let me echo that wholeheartedly.

"Intense, sad icy blue gazes" and "Acacia is wearing the perfect shade of jealousy green dress. And she has plenty of enablers and instigators" were among my many favorites.

Dark clouds and a fine, grey mist surrounded our characters tonight. For some, the torrential rain poured (Uli/Acacia), for others, the day grew dark with thunder and lightening seeming but moments away (Ale/German).

Could anything else have gone wrong with the ceremony?? Acacia was delayed at every turn, with mounting frustration. Ulises waiting and waiting and trying his best to delay. Nuria's cloying Ulises and insinuating herself into the situation as shadily as possible (with even the mild and sweet Elena taking note). Her self satisfied smirk evident (and not at all lost on our little firebrand Luisa). Add Esteban's outrageous jealousy to Acacia's and voila, the expected outcome of a combustible mix.

I could not believe the arguing with no thought to the guests! What an undignified mess. Dignity and decorum were no where to be seen.

"It’s just that Danilo seems to know so much about her, while at times he feels that they’re soul-mates (almas gemelas), and other times like he knows practically nothing about her". This explains German's reaction to Ale's reading the folder. Ale must talk with him and do it now. Otherwise, all will be lost. Every time I see him, I feel revulsion. I cannot fathom how she, as the character feels.

Vivi, during the scene when Julie and Norbie insulted Rosa, I stared at Rubio. You were completely right in what you wrote yesterday. He was seething. I don't know what I was seeing yesterday to write that he seemed to be pleased, it was exactly the opposite. When he spit out the match, there was no doubt. I loved that he comforted Rosa and really seemed to mean it. And then at the next turn, he throws Ale to the wolves by telling Danilo where she is. Although, I know he doesn't have the back story. I hope it would have made a difference.

Sorry for going on so long.

I just love this show and the recaps are amazing.

I also couldn't believe the loud argument they were all having, although many of the guests seemed to be enjoying the show. Esteban should have known better. I can't believe how he got in Uli's face and tried to keep him from Acacia. Although I understand that Acacia was disappointed and frustrated, this was Uli's special day. She should have just apologized for being late, smiled, taken Uli's arm (out of Nuria's claws), and been the gracious girlfriend with the guests. Why did she have to make it about her? Uli was so hurt by her attitude he was crying. I hope he sticks to his decision not to run after Acacia. But I mainly hope he doesn't make a stupid mistake with Nuria.

Yes - it was Uri's day and she really ruined it for him. She should have done exactly what you suggested. The day would have been salvaged and he wouldn't have been reduced to tears.

I fervently hope Uli continues to be the man of principal we believe him to be and that he doesn't do anything foolish with the scheming Nuria whom I have no doubt is ready and willing to comfort him and make him "forget all about it/her". Sigh.

Rubio is a mystery He does seem to respect and feel protective of Rosa. he is just so smarmy around Luisa and Este. I guess we will have to see if he falls toward the light or the dark side.
Nuria is, indeed, a vulture circling Uli. She is a man eater and has her sights set on Uli. Icky Este just gets crazier and crazier in his obsession for his STEPDAUGHTER. Geez.
 

Ah, Vivi. that would have been a perfect way for Acacia to react . However, , that is the difference between our wise, kind, gracious Vivi and spoiled, immature, petulant Acacia.

Watching poor , terrorized Ale kneeling in front of Creepy knife wielding Damn and pleading with him was cringeworthy. Damn must die.
 

Did you notice Este squeeze Acacia's hand after he dragged her up front of the crowd so that she could see Nuria standing next to Uli ? Este needs a swift kick.
 

There gotta be someone better for Uli than Acacia or Nuria. It is no wonder why Ac is spoiled. Did you all notice her with her head on Elenas shoulder looking totally pitiful and so victimized. Este shouting at Uli "look how you have her! just look what you done to her." Everyone saw what transpired with Uli stalling to wait for Aca, yet everything was his fault. can you imagine being married to her and if she ever pouted for any little thing, he would have most of her family members berate him. How awful, run Uli run.
 

Well, I will try again. I posted a couple comments , but only one is still here. did you notice how Este squeezed Acacia's hand when he was dragging her through the crowd to see Nuria with Uli. Dope.
 

Diana..thanks. We are all well and happy, but he is still an a**. He will not exchange weekends so that the girls can go to my nephew's wedding. Some people just like to be nasty and hurt others.
 

A thought. When Nuria first came out someone (sorry dont remember who) stated that they didn't trust Nuria. I didnt know why maybe something about her or agressiveness. I promise I am not spoiling, I probably wrong but still will share my thought. Last nite after Este told Uli off, Nuria was lurking closely and looked at Este and he at her, but didnt speak to each other. Well, could Este be paying her to work closely w Uli to cause trouble w Aca so she would be his all his? Maybe he had alerted Nur that day when Aca witnessed Uli prevented Nuri from falling?? Could this be possible?
Vivi I laughed when you added to what Este told Aca,"i would never do that to woman I love" and you added (except lust after her daughter). Hee heee.
 

Novelas love.. I noticed the grin Nuria gave Este, but barracudas like Nuria usually grin that way at every Goodlooking guy they pass.

I agree with all of you that Acacia’s hissy-snit was appalling. The only bright side of it is that it’s interesting to have a protagonista who isn’t naïve and pure to the point of being a yawn. Acacia has her moments, but for the most part, I don’t like her. But I’m not bored by her!

What’s up with the toothpick Rubio always has in his mouth? Is he planning to build a nest?

This show is hard to watch, very stressful. But I just can’t look away.

I don't know if I saw it right, but at one point wasn't Acacia willing to accept the blame for things because she was late, but Este kept telling her it was all Uli's fault? Why did she believe Este and not Uli? Acacia, Acacia, you're your worst enemy and too jealous!!

I agree with Maggie that this Tn is very stressful but I so look forward to it every nite.☺

Vivi – You are the best for covering LM each night. Please know how much your superb writing is appreciated. You hit all the highs and lows of last night's episode. My favorites:

Acacia is wearing the perfect shade of jealousy green dress.

Este tells her he would NEVER disrespect the woman he loves by doing such a thing (he’d only disrespect her by lusting after her daughter).

I'm calling out Ulises’ momma to take some blame too. She could've helped Ulises out by standing in for Acacia. Somebody (Ulises? - I don't remember who) suggested it, but she nixed it. Lady, stop mooning over Andres for a second to give your son a hand.

But ITA Ulises would be better off without someone so immature and high-maintenance.

It hurt to see Rosa cower like that before Juliana and Norberto. Rose was just beginning to be supportive of Luisa’s ambitions and to come out of the dark ages about class differences.

So now that Este has egged on another Acacia-Ulises breakup, what is his plan? To make sure no other man circles his stepdaughter, or push her off on Manuel where his (Este’s) lust will be safe cause she won’t really be into Manuel?

VR gets a bad rap for playing characters that cry all the time, but she is hardly doing that here. No doubt tears are in Cris’s future -- not a spoiler, but with a husband like that… -- but I don’t think she’ll wallow in them. Maybe we’ll even get to see VR kick some a$$.

Oh my, what a show last night. I have much to say,

Juliana just makes me sick, I can't stand her. During her tirade last night all that I could think of was the higher you are the farther you have to fall.

Julie called or said that Luisa was a liar. What did she lie about?

OMG! That disciple of satan Danilo
got her again. I could barely stand it. Ale must be really terrified after he told her that he would/could have German killed.

I noticed that stalker Esteban was listening in on everything last night. Eli couldn't talk to Acacia without Este catching every word. Is there a stronger word than stalker?

My take---I know it won't be popular.
Nuria---I don't blame her at all
for trying. All is fair in love and war and she knows what she wants and is going for it. Aggressive? So what, she's out to win the prize, the Ulises prize.

Acacia---The spoiled crybaby. I know that she is hurt seeing Nuria clinging to Ulises and it doesn't help to have the stalker right in the middle of it all but---How about fighting for the one you love instead of being a wimpy
crybaby. You said that you love him and you are going to give up this easy QUE?

Ulises---your way out is so easy.
Go and get Acacia and bring her over to Nuria and while Acacia is standing right there---tell Nuria
in a strong tone of voice that Acacia is my girlfriend and no one else will be. You are not to wrap your arm around mine, you are not to hold my hand ---you are not to touch me punto. It is work only for us. Is that clear?

There it is, problem solved but this is a novela and the story must go on.

Didn't the advances show Ulises taking Nuria home or something like that? Acacia was watching.
Bad move on your part Ulises. You are digging your own hole and pretty soon you will be in to deep to be able to get out.

Novela Lover---Could Este be working with Nuria to separate Acacia and Ulises? Now wouldn't that be a twist?

Susanlynn, Maggie, Ann-NYC, Niecie, Steve, and Gringo—Thank you all for the lovely comments. I was away from my desk so much today that I did not get the chance to respond to each of you.

Este working with Nuria—I don’t think he’s at that point of treachery yet. It’s still too easy to manipulate Acacia without needing much more than a few words in her ear. But I wouldn’t put it past him in the future when he’s feeling desperate.

Norbie and Julie putting a hit on Rosa—I think Uli is first on their list to bump off. But Este might have just done the job of separating Uli from Acacia for them. If anything, Luisa would be on the list, if they thought she was getting in the way of a Manuel-Acacia hookup.

I have really liked that Cris is on the whole a glass half full/roll up her sleeves kind of gal, and doesn’t spend a lot of time crying. But, when she starts to figure out what’s going on between her husband and daughter, I predict a lot of tears. And I won’t blame her one bit.

 

Gringo- I don't blame Nuria either. Acacia is just making it SO easy for her!
 

Anyone notice how Arturo quietly, but firmly, pulled Luisa away when she jumped in the middle of the Uli-Acacia argument over Nuria? I just loved that.
 

I noticed the sly grin that Nuria shot Este as she passed him, but she is a barracuda who gives that same seductive grin to any attractive guy she happens upon.

Diana- Luisa must be blind to not see what a catch Arturo is. She should at least be asking him why he doesn't have a girlfriend and be trying to set him up with her culinary school friends, if she's not interested. Spread the wealth, Luisa!
 

Thanks for the recap! Nuria is out to cause trouble and Acacia's jealousy is only making it worse. I found it random that the municipal president called out Acacia as he was leaving. Yikes.

I will say again that Ale and Germán don't have trust issues. She is just trying to protect him. Germán currently thinks Ale and Dan were just neighbors and he's not going to be happy when he finds out the truth. He might not be so happy to find out that Ale was a prostitute even if she was forced into it.

I too noticed Arturo prevented Luisa from getting in the middle of the fight. C'mon Luisa, Manuel isn't into you. Pay attention to the guy that really is!

Gringo-you hit the nail on the head concerning Ulises. He needs to man up.

TF- You just reminded me of something. When Ale was writing in her diary she wrote that if German finds out the truth about Danilo she thinks he would kill Danilo, and she doesn't want him to go to jail. So right now she's trying to prevent Dan from killing German, because she loves German, and trying to prevent German from killing Dan, because she doesn't want German to go to jail.

You're right. I almost forgot that she was writing that in her diary. It'll be a lose-lose situation for Ale. Whatever she does she will temporarily lose German. If she's forced to go back with Dan who knows how the TN writers will get rid of Dan (killed or jail) AND who knows how they'll put Ale and German back together. I found online the other day an interview Osvaldo de Leon did and he said himself he doesn't know what's in store for German. He kinda joked that maybe German will get killed off. I think the Mexican broadcast is almost over. I read that the finale will be on November 9th.
