Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #55 10/31/14 Sofia Decides Her Fate
Labels: hasta
"I have a feeling this isn't a Hallmark moment" and "Apparently Greta has been huffing too much paint" were among my favorites.
Overjoyed Dani has come to her senses. But will it last?
I'm glad Armando was kind enough to grant Ramon his wish. It was evident Nandito loves his father, who is his real father in every sense of the word.
Silvana is thrilled. I would be thrilled if she just up and left and started her own life away from Pato and forgot her revenge scheme.
Since I know that won't happen, the question is: who will Silvana say is the father of her child? As he's had virtually no recent story line (let alone any hint of a personal life), Matias seems the obvious choice. His soft spot for her along with the fact he thinks Pato used him would make sense. Sigh. That would be terrible.
Kirby, I'm a little confused as I also thought Paco realized Sophia was his daughter.
Greta still stews in her own bitter juices. Basta.
I look forward to seeing Alexa and Armando's scenes. They sizzle and spark and are the only ones with chemistry (I'm talking about compatibility and comfort as well as physical).
Thanks Xint.

Big question is whether he'll go back to Araceli ?
I thought the highlight of last night's episode was Armando encouraging Nandito to talk to Ramon and then, near the end of their visit, getting close and talking to Ramon himself. Some people are angels in disguise. Armando is one of them.
"I don't understand why you hate me so much." Apparently Greta has been huffing too much paint.
Lupe says she now realizes that staying married to Javier is like dragging around a bag of rocks. Dirtbag. Bag of rocks. Same difference.
I hope they explain later how Paco came to not know Sofia is his because if he can count up to 9 he should’ve figured it out. Maybe Greta left the country when she found out she was pregnant and came back after Sofia was born and lied about the baby’s age?
So Sofia can’t get with Chava cause he’s poor and she must stay a role model for her family. Dani and Alexa would be fine with Chava in the family and not see this as a step down. I think it’s Sofia’s own snobbishness, as taught by Greta, that is holding her back. If she invested in Chava reentering racing, he wouldn’t stay poor for long.
And why announce to Pato, whom she knows hates Chava, that she’s letting him go? Sofia sees that Chava is too stubborn to go, so does she want Pato to make him? No sympathy for Sofia from me.
I am ticked at Paco for asking Lupe to be his steady when he knows he’s still hung up on Greta. But now that he has, I want to see what kind of novio he will be. Will he show Lupe a good time, like taking her out dancing as Detective Fuzzy would?
Irma, if you want Armando to forgive you maybe you better think about forgiving Ramon.
Cynderella - Armando told Ramon about Nandito's tae kwan do practicing with him at home. On the surface, nothing heavy was said.
Some few episodes ago, Silvana already fabricated a married lover in a conversation with Sofía. So she can lay the baby at his feet.
Also I think it was the first episode when Paco bumped into Sofía outside Ripoll while he was staring at the big 30th anniversary banner. She told him then that she was also 30 years old, and the wheels seemed to be turning in his head at the time. But nothing has been said out in the open.
The prison scene was an unexpected pleasure, but I wonder now where that side plot is going. They made a pretty big deal out of it.
At least they had Armando make it clear he was finished with Irma over her lying to him. I hope he doesn't backtrack on that because she's still in love with him and begging.
I don't see any impediment to him having a relationship with Alexa, other than the class and economic difference. That's what's strange; it seems pretty early for that. What are they going to do the rest of the show...
Ok, so the youngest daughter is getting a tutor. He shows up with her in promos and credits, so I assume he's going to be used to make Lucas jealous.
Second, Marisol and Lucas can have each other.
Third, I want Sophia and Greta to SUFFER SUFFER.
And of course you are right that Sil is in grave danger from Pato. Now that Jeri reminded me Sil invented a married lover, I fear Pato will put the pressure on her to keep suspicion away from him. Matias will surely realize Pato is the father and having Sil and Matias marry will solve the baby issue and keep Matias quiet. What a terrible thought.
Niecie, I still see no chemistry between Paco and Lupe. When they became sweethearts, there wasn't even a kiss! What DOES this show have against kissing? How are we supposed to care about these couples when there is no physical touching or caresses? Sorry, hand holding doesn't do it for me;)

That other guy they have coming in, the one going to be the tutor — I think we might see more of his mom. She’s an old friend of Greta and could figure in with Greta’s past. Also, she’s the ex-wife of the remote, criminal mastermind of the show. She could help bring him down.
So with her son coming around, more of that could get filled in. Since I don’t particularly like Lucas, it would be no skin off my nose if the new guy stepped in. He’s cute, but also I don’t know.
Marisol is not very sympathetic either; but she does have a problem concerning their dad to solve. The dad is going to show up at some point, I’m thinking, since Salvador despises him so much.
And Salvador is still the male lead, even though they are gumming up the works of his character. Something has to happen with the father and Lupe on this score. Lupe told Paco she was not yet divorced; so they left it open.
Lupe and Paco are just a place holder, IMO. I don’t know what Paco is thinking, other than he is past tired of years living on the negative side of life and wants something of a good, sunny nature — which Lupe and her son are congenitally blessed with. He’s attracted to her for that. She’s lively and positive.
But Paco will get back to Greta for karmic reasons, if nothing else, IMO. Greta is tortured, and it will be a huge relief for the character to get all that solved. She’s not naturally so freaking sour and morose; I don’t believe that. She did, after all, fall deeply in love with a waiter! And she still loves him.
It's her unhappy side that drives her art, if you look at the stuff she does -- that sculpture with the hole in the heart comes to mind. In the garden the focal point is a huge grey metallic bird sculpture with TWO heads looking in opposite directions. How about that, eh?
Sometimes I think Armando is too good to be true; I love him, of course — who would not. But still. I am really curious what will happen between him and Alexa now. Alexa is not just the spoiled rich kid; she made literally millions for the company in advertising revenue as a child. They owe her, and she’s still running on that in my book.
But she has to do something now; I think it would be good if she stuck with her loyalty to the brand and helped save the company from what Patricio and the criminal mastermind have planned.
I don’t have a problem with the level of physical intimacy in this show; I like it as much as the next person, but to loosely quote a successful author of Regency romances, “…the word ‘nipple’ never appears in my books (shudder). In my books, the sex is from the neck up…my husband might get oral sex on his birthday!”
Of course, the author was pregnant at the time she said that, so there was a little fudging going on there. Usually telenovelas rely on the baddies for steamy sex scenes. That’s what it’s been here so far.
