Hasta el Fin del Mundo #57 20141104 Chava and Dani get Schooled

Uppityville
Nothing will ever erase my memories of Chava's kisses except a Brillo Pad!

Sophia fondly remembers Chava's kisses while enjoying a relaxing bubble bath.  Meanwhile downstairs in the office, Patrick suggests to Greta that Sophia's biological father might be behind the mystery telegram.  Greta disagrees.  Sophia's father never knew about his daughter.     When Patrick brings up the name of a man named Francisco Fernandez, Greta almost leaps out of her skin.  Franciso claims that Octavio and Coria stole the recipes and products from him.

Decontaminated, Sophia is cleared by the CDC to return to the general public!

Sophia approaches the open door and hears Patrick ask Greta how Francisco Fernandez knows about Greta.  Instead of eavesdropping longer so that she can learn something, Sophia barges in and demands to know why Patrick bought up Don Fernandez with her mother.  Greta says that she barely knew Francisco.  She just knew that he was friends with Coria and Octavio.  Patrick thinks that Fernandez will ruin Ripoll eventually.  Both women disagree.  The statement that Don Fernandez made to the press clears them from industrial espionage forever.  Greta changes the subject.  How's the wedding plans going?  Patrick says that they want to move up the wedding date.  Greta suspects that Sophia might have stork flu, but Sophia clears it up.  They love each other very much and want to get married.

Ellie Mae practicing her "gozintas".  Two gozinta four two times.

Fausto tells Daniela that Greta got her a math and physics tutor for a week.  If she doesn't like him after that, they will try someone else.  Daniela refuses to have dinner with the family and orders pizza.  A little while later, Aurora announces that Daniela has a visitor.  Daniela thinks that her pizza has arrived, but he's actually the tutor, Oliver.

Oops!  How did this picture get in here?  That's not the tutor!

This is the tutor!  Meet Oliver, Isadora the Lush's son.

Back inside the house, Patrick, Greta and Sophia have sat down for dinner.  Patrick tells Greta that they want to start making babies immediately.  Sophia tells Patrick that she is not going back into the office because she wants to take Chava his severance check.  Greta wants to know why Chava was fired.  Sophia says because he's a race car driver and he was wasting his talent driving her around.  Patrick decides that he will be Sophia's chauffer for the day.

When Patrick and Sophia are outside, in the driveway, he shares with her that someone sent Greta a threatening anonymous letter.  The sender states that Ripolls' recipes and products were indeed stolen.  Sophia asks to see the letter, but Patrick says that he tore the letter up.  Sophia wants to know why her mother didn't tell her.  Patrick says that Greta trusts him and wants him to look into it.  He asks Sophia not to tells Greta about their conversation.  He will take care of it.  He will not let anyone hurt "his family".  Sophia kisses him and tells him that he's nice.

Chava pays a visit to Paco.  He wants to thank him for convincing his mother to divorce Javier Cruz.  Suddenly, three masked robbers enter the store and demand the money!  Paco complies immediately, but is hit!  He helplessly watches from the floor as our brave Chiuaua Chava tries fighting the three off.  Chava is bashed on the back of the head and knocked out flat!  The men ransack the store and remove the money from the till.  Paco rises to check on Chava as the men vandalize the store.  Araceli runs in and dials 911 as the men run out!

Why doesn't anyone take me seriously?

His mouth wrote a check that his "butt" couldn't cash!

The Cruz's have a guest named Herminia for dinner.  Paco runs in and tells Lupe and Marisol that Chava was hit during a robbery.  Araceli rode with him in the ambulance.  Everyone leaves for the hospital, except Herminia.

Chava caught a beat down!  We need to get to the hospital.

At the Cruz house, Patrick and Sophia learn from Herminia that Chava was injured in a robbery!  Sophia is horrified and wants to go to the hospital.  Patrick wants to know why Chava doesn't just die.

Is he a chiuaua or a cat?  How many lives does Chava have?

Down the road a piece, Armando has returned home from his visit with Chava.  Before he enters his home, he receives a phone call from Alexa inviting him to meet her for lunch at a restaurant.  Alexa has a book on Ninjas for Nandito.  She only wanted to give him a book for his son, she says.

I noticed you aren't wearing a bra, don't go!

When Alexa calls for the check, Armando stops her by grabbing her hand.  He asks her to stay longer.  She is one of the only few good things in his life right now.  He tells her that his marriage is on the rocks because Irma tricked him.  He'd be gone if Nandito didn't exist.  He keeps making goo goo eyes at her.  He's got decisions to make.  Alexa tells Armando that he will make the correct decision.  They take a taxi home and drop him off at his house first.  Irma sees that taxi arrive.

Alexa goes home and tells Fausto what she learned on her lunch date with Armando.  She is convinced that she is Armando's soul mate.

The goons have arrived back at Renzi's office.  They explain that a twirp got hurt when they robbed Abarrotes.  Renzi asks if the guy is dead.  They don't know and they don't care.  Renzi says in the future, the violence in the neighborhood should escalate little by little.

In the hospital waiting room, Araceli reports to the family and her father that the doctor is still running tests on Chava.  When Sophia and Patrick enter, Araceli yells at her about firing Chava.  Why is she there?  Lupe gives Sophia and update.  Sophia explains that she is there to give Chava the severance check and she will pay for everything.  Patrick corrects her and says that Ripoll insurance will pay for everything.  Araceli says that they don't need anything from her.  The doctor comes out, everyone rushes towards the him, but Araceli shoves Sophia out of the way.  This is family business only!  Sophia tells Araceli that she too is not related to Chava.  The doctor says that Chava has been sedated.  Patrick tells Sophia to give the check to Silvana because she gets along with "these people".

Chava is transported to an observation room.  He hilucinates that Sophia is his nurse.  He believes that he is still dreaming when the real Sophia sneaks into his room.  Chava is thrilled when he realizes that the he is not dreaming.  He begs her for a kiss to make him feel better.  He says that he will hurt himself over and over again if it will get her to visit him.  He knows that she loves him because she's worried about him and came to see him.  He asks her to if she will hire him back.  She says no.  She's only came to give him his severance check.  She changes her mind and will give it to him later.  He calls after her, but she walks out.

Are you here to play nurse with me?
Don't go, let me show you where it hurts!

When Sophia returns to the waiting room, she feels the death stares of Paco and Araceli.  Patrick tells her that they she should leave and she agrees that her presence is not needed there.

I trust Patrick is writing himself some secret notes so he can keep all his lies straight because I cant. His convoluted web will hopefully entangle him soon. Poooor gullible Sofia the 35 year old virgin.

Cynderella, you were at your snarky best.

"His mouth wrote a check his 'butt' couldn't cash."

is a real keeper. Thanks for the laughs!

I can't wait till somebody wipes that ****eating grin off of Patricio's face permanently.

Is Marisol still pining over her long found jerk of a dad or was her reaction due to the fact she thinks Paco is a nut job? Hope it is not the former.

What will Chava have to do to awaken " sleepwalking through her life" Sofía? The kisses sure didn't do it. Maybe being all pathetic in the hospital bed helped because she has decided to give him his severance check "later."

Jarifa

Jarifa, probably Marisol still has not got over her dad's rejection. That fellow is going to be back; they already went to the trouble of introducing the actual character; Salvador despises him, and Lupe has plans to legally divorce him. He will be back. Not sure why, but reasonably confident he will be back.

So far he really hasn't lied about that much. His fingerprints messed up his plot to frame Chava. I agree that he doesn't mention a lot of his evil activities, but he doesn't have to lie. All he's doing is sending out anonymous correspondences basically. So far the only other lies he's actually "told" are someone sent a telegram about the recipe book andanother to a vendor. Silvana has to keep her lies straight because she's a double agent.

Not sure why they are bringing him back and what they're going to do with him, I mean.

Would Chava's "kisses" have done it for you? Right now I think she has a "crush" on him and likes his attention. By showing up at the hospital, that was kinda like teasing him. He has stated that he loves her. She should have sent the check with Sylvana. Patrick is right!

loved it Cynderella.

"His mouth wrote a check that his "butt" couldn't cash!"

"I noticed you aren't wearing a bra, don't go!"

The desperate, never ending pleas of Chava for love reciprocated sound, uh......, desperate & never ending. Does this work? Perhaps he should try licking the bottom of her boots.

Sofia is not helping and should draw from the inner ice woman for the strength to shoot the guy and put him out of his misery.

Paco needs evil competition. The Fuzz is a good guy, so that would be boring. Armando had evil Alan. Chava has evil Patrick. Lucas has turned "good" so far, so we don't know who his evil competition is. Perhaps the tutor is bad...he is Peralta's son.

Carlos hasn't commented a lot lately, but he hates a begging man. I LOVE a begging man. That just stirs me up. I hate to admit this, but it's making me like "Chava". I no longer care that he's not built like a Mac truck. Admit that you love me...he had me at hello.

I liked Marisol hitting the pause button when Lucas told her how he got the job. Nothing wrong with some boundaries even for a cute guy

Marisol annoys me. The only reason I write about her is because she speaks. She even dances badly.

Patricio and Sofía have put Salvador in a desperate situation, moving the wedding up. He could be a lot more attractive if he weren't begging; I hope they put the character in a situation where he has confidence and is on top. I want to see that. Sofía is doing something to him that is not nice.

The discussion between the tutor's mom and dad last night had the evil developer stewing over his son being a nerd and not like himself. I think the tutor is a good guy, but I don't think Dani's going to end up with him. They made too much of a big deal about the true love of Dani and Lucas already. Lucas doesn't have to have a villain to make him jealous; just a rival will do, I think.

Oh, I like Chava and very endering(this incarnation not sure of the bionic man version upcoming) but want him to hold back a little. Sophia really isn't giving the dude much to go on.

Cynderella, LOL, I did not see your post. I was writing mine; well, that's what makes the world go around! I'm glad you are liking Salvador. I adore him; I don't like seeing him suffer.

The purpose of the villain competition is not to make him jealous, it's to make us root for the "true" love. Right now, we (well at least I) can't stand Marisol. I don't even care about the Lucas/Dani/Marisol story, but because I hate Marisol, I don't want her to be with Lucas.

I don't want Lucas with Dani and ok with him running off with Marisol but part of that is I liked Jade Frasier as Ileana in PSMA and kinda protective of her.

Dani and Lucas are a couple of kids; true love is all in their heads. I take it with a grain of salt, but they are serious about it. Lucas needs jealousy to make him weigh his prejudice; apparently true love is not achieving the desired result with him.

Marisol; I don't know what can make her sympathetic. One thing she's got going for her is some gumption; she wanted to go to work to support her own needs -- and finish school. She's arranged Lucas as a study buddy, and that's a positive thing she's doing for him. I can't picture her with any of the males on the show yet. Maybe the tutor? She has to finish school; he seems like he would help without charging her a lot. He's got good ethics.

Plus, Marisol and Oliver the Tutor were a cute couple in Amor Bravio. :)

Thanks for the fun recap, Cyn. I thought Chava got in quite a few good punches for one unarmed small guy, against three armed big guys.

Yes, but they were originally ordered not to hurt anyone. That's why he only got knocked out. That's why Renzi was irritated.

I didn't like her from the giddyup. She acted like a brat at her birthday party. Lucas is her study buddy because she wants to violate him in his sleep. She nose her mother's tea ingredients. Those same ingredients knocked Chava out and allowed him to be vulnerable to Araceli. I got Marisol's number!

Knows

Thanks Cynderella! I loved the part about Armando stopping Alexa because she wasn't wearing a bra. Too funny!

I keep thinking of Chava as a little guy too, but when he and Pato are face-to-face they are the same height (not counting Pato's hair).

Jeri, I too, think Lupe's husband will be back - if only to try to preserve his gravy train. Once a mooch, always a mooch.

Oliver is a cutie, but will he end up with Dani? Too soon to tell but there is an attraction there. I think it's good that Dani has him around. She needs another man to compare to Lucas who is still just a punk.

I'm really waiting to see what tricks Irma has up her sleeve. You just know that she's not letting Armando go without a fight.

Maybe it will be a little harder for Irma to fool Armando because he isn't buying anything she is selling now. Hated how Nandito found out about the marital discord between his parents but thankfully not the reason. Surely Irma will use him to keep her hooks in Armando.

Cynderella, you consistenly set the bar higher with each recap. This was exceptional. Such snark and sensational writing.

"Oops! How did this picture get in here? That's not the tutor! Why do I get the feeling you cannot wait until DZ's arrival? Why am I now looking forward to it as well???

I am in the middle of an all day long plus meeting or would comment more. Just wanted to say how much I loved the recap Cynderella. Thanks so much!

Diana

Cynderella – Terrific recap and pics. My favorites:

Instead of eavesdropping longer so that she can learn something, Sophia barges in

Oops! How did this picture get in here? That's not the tutor!

His mouth wrote a check that his "butt" couldn't cash!

I love Chava’s confidence. He knows Sofia loves him, so I don’t see him as begging but as assertive.

How realistic that Sofia, a Master of the Universe, would ignore hospital rules and sneak in to see Chava, while his humble family waits dutifully for the authorities to give them permission. I also love that Sofia challenged Araceli with “you’re not family either.” In her way, Sofia is already fighting for her man.

Loved that “damn!” look on Pato face when told that Chava had been attacked, cause he knew this was going to drive Sofia to his side.

After one episode, I like Oliver already.

My boyfriend came up with a new name for Chava: trollio, lol.

He won't be trillio for much longer. ;^ )

I've heard! I'm looking forward to Zepeda...and its not for his great acting skills...

I like Oliver because he seems the exact opposite of a drama queen, which is exactly what Dani, all the Ripoll women, and Lucas all are.

Vivi, Amor Bravío was such a good show! I printed off the promo photo of Leticia Calderón's haircut and took it to the salon; been wearing that cut ever since, LOL. She was fabulous in that. Leticia got the best villana award for Amor Bravío.

Jeri- I just know you are rocking that evil Isadora look!

Ha ha! Well, I haven't taken up the metallic silver makeup and nail polish. It's just a good cut. The stylists all get it.

I'm glad Dani will be moving on.

Marisol and Lucas will be together in the end of this TN.
