TELEMUNDO Y MÁS: Reina de Corazones -- page two -- Week of November 3, 2014

Reina de Corazones, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 -- capítulos 101, 102, 103:

If it weren't for Dr. Mala Suerte, the Dragon family would have no luck at all.

My dear Reinamaniacs,
This recap got absurdly long when I tried to incorporate all three episodes in one.  I hope you are okay with meeting on a separate page just this once.  It was simply too unwieldy to chop the thing up and load it into comment boxes.

[Cut scenes are bracketed and in blue.]

The Reina is in Spain...
And it's the first time we've ever seen Victor in anything but black.  Victor tells Reina and Navier that Lopez was shot twice, the kill shot through the head suggesting a mafia hit.  At first, he thought it was the work of The Organization, but now he's thinking it could well have been Estefi who gave the order.

Navier shakes his head.  It just doesn't fit...

"Don't you dare defend that woman!" says Reina.  "And don't tell me how much she helped you in the past.  Is that worth more than separating us with a lie?  More than the loss of our child?  More than kidnapping Clara?"

"Of course not.  Nothing is worth more than my daughter's life.  Nothing."

CIA, Las Vegas
FELS walks into Esmeeth's office and tells her that Navier rescued Clara -- with his usual, er, cinematic flair.   What did he do?  Nothing much.  Blew up a warehouse.  Even though Clara wasn't wounded, the stress provoked a crisis in her health and she needs emergency surgery.

Lopez was found dead near the scene.  He wasn't killed by the explosion.  "Lopez?" says Esmeeth.  "Then it WAS Estefanía!"

FELS says no, that Lopez was a traitor to Estefi.  He was part of a criminal organization that was spying on her.  Even so, insists Esmeeth, Estefi sent Lopez to kidnap Clara.  Estefi admitted it herself!  Why is FELS looking at her like that?  Doesn't he trust her?

"And you -- do you trust me?" he retorts.

No, she doesn't.  "You know why? Because a few weeks ago, I found four pink diamonds in your desk.  Where the devil did you get them?"

"From the stomach of Officer Christian Palacios."

[Moto has called the police about the baby.  Now Christian arrives and picks up the little basket.  Laz looks devastated.  Just as Christian is about to leave, Moto stops him and asks what she'd have to do to get temporary custody.]

[At Reina's old house: Connie has done several pregnancy tests and they are all negative.  She still wonders if she could be pregnant.  Susana comes home (she has moved in with Juanjo) with bags of gourmet groceries, things beyond his budget but not hers.]

I'm not ready to go to heaven...
Clara is all ready for her surgery.  She tells Reina and Navier not to be sad.  She's going to be fine.  She wants to spend a lot more time with them, especially now that she knows that the Dragon is her daddy.  She doesn't want to go to heaven with her brother just yet.  Reina turns away to hide her tears.

Christian was full of surprises
FELS tells Esmeeth that during surgery, the doctors found four pink diamonds in Christian's stomach.  Since then, FELS has been watching him and investigating him.  "And Estefi too?" asks Esmeeth.   "Of course," says FELS.  Esmeeth doesn't like this at all.  That woman knows her name -- her REAL name, the one nobody knows. (Yup.  Non sequiturs 'r us.)

[The above scene was shortened.  It continues like this:
FELS says he knows Esmeeth's real name too.  That's different, she says.  He's her boss and Estefi is a criminal.  Even so, says FELS, they can't detain her as long as she's threatening to out 179 agents.  So we give in to her extorsion?  FELS doesn't see an alternative.  Esmeeth thinks maybe he's not looking for one.  And whatever happened to his plans to seduce her?  Maybe FELS himself gave her that information...  FELS says no woman ever got any info from him unless he wanted her to have it.]

[Reina tells Clara she's not going to heaven yet.  Dr. Mala Suerte wheels Clara away to surgery.  Reina turns to Victor and asks him what he wants.  Is he going to threaten her daughter?  Navier tells her that Victor is going back to Las Vegas.  "And I'm going to leave you alone," says Victor.]

[Izzy shows up at Estefi's house and demands that she tell him everything.]

Connie comes to Christian's office.  He tells her about the baby that Laz and Moto found outside the Santa Diabla church.   It made him think of their baby...

[JuanJo and Susana work out what it means to be a couple.]

[A flash of the real Victor -- he tells Navier he's coming back to Spain and he's going to fight for Reina.]

Esmeeth's apartment
Esmeeth declares to FELS that she wants to be with her son and be what she never was before -- a mother, a grandmother.  She wants to get back lost time and help her family in any way she can -- if Navier will allow it.  And this time, she's going as Virginia De La Vega, and not as Esmeeth.

She tells FELS to keep investigating.  Maybe it will turn out that she was wrong and Estefi is innocent.  "Come here," says FELS.  They kiss (for the last time?)

[FELS gets a text message:  "Woman murdered.  Red diamond.  I have important information."]

[Estefi tells Izzy that Lopez betrayed her and robbed her of everything.  She had him killed.  He was the one who killed Paz (the abuela).  "Who ordered Clara to be taken?" asks Izzy.  "I ordered that." (I think she said that.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)]

Madrid
[Reina sits at Asunción's bedside while Clara is in surgery.  Several hours have elapsed.  Navier beckons her out of the room.]

Navier tells Reina that it's true that Lopez was a spy in Estefi's house.  He was working for The Organization that Victor took down.  Evidently they wanted Reina's head.

Reina hopes that Greta's death has changed Victor.  "People don't change, Reina," says the wise and weary Dragon.  "On the contrary, over time, they get worse."  He tells her that Victor vowed to come back for her...but not to worry.  Who knows if he'll be able to come back...

"Because you might..." begins Reina.  Navier interrupts her.  He's not talking about himself.  Victor has a lot of enemies..."

Navier's voice-over continues as we see Victor return to Reina's hacienda in Madrid.

"...people as dangerous as me, who want to see him fall.  They're going to follow him, trap him and get him!"

A figure steps out of the shadows -- a woman -- and knocks him out with the butt of her gun.

"...and they're going to kill him."

[Victor lies on the red couch.  His mouth is taped shut.  His attacker (last seen as Lt. Rentería from Lo que la vida me robó) pulls the now dented flask from his breast pocket and smirks as she takes a pull of mescal.]

[Connie asks Izzy whose baby Laz found.]

It must be Bring Baby to the Morgue Day
[Laz and Moto bring the baby to work and chatter about what to name her.  Moto suggests "Anastasia" after their latest autopsy victim.  FELS comes in and announces that the woman was found dead with one of the four red diamonds.]

Estefi appeals to Christian to find out what Lopez did with the diamonds he stole from her.  Christian owes her and it's time to pay up. (Interesting!)

Victor comes to.  The woman points her gun at him.  They call her the Cobra and she was hired to kill him.

Reina asks Mala Suerte guy how everything went.  He tells her that the surgery wasn't enough to resolve Clara's problem.  She is in urgent need of a heart transplant.  [She is a candidate for an artificial heart to be used until they can find a donor.]

Back in the CIA Morgue:
FELS tells Moto and Laz that the dead woman, Anastasia Rodrigo, is 45 years old.  She has multiple knife wounds but was killed by strangulation.  The diamond was found in her underwear.  She has no connection to Victor or Estefi.

FELS hears the baby crying and then sees her.  Moto says it's her adopted daughter.]

[Reina feels real hate for the first time.  She wants to kill whoever kidnapped her daughter and provoked this crisis.]

Christian agrees to help Estefi.  After all, she helped him when he needed it, even though they weren't friends.  One more thing -- no one can know she was robbed.

[The Cobra likes Victor's mescal.  They flirt.]

[FELS tells Moto it's crazy to adopt when she can have her own children.  Anyway, he thought she didn't like kids.  She says being around children is a challenge, but she enjoys challenges.]

[Connie tells Izzy she's sure the baby Laz found is Izzy's.  Izzy says he has no baby.  His dream was to be the father of Connie's child, but she's pregnant with Christian's kid.  Connie finally admits she isn't pregnant.]

[Juanjo tells Susana about his mother and brothers and sisters in Mexico.  He asks her if she wants to have a child with him.  She says no.]

In Reina's Madrid Hacienda
The Cobra wants the four red diamonds.  Victor says he doesn't have them, but he knows who does and he knows how to get them back.  By the way, who does she work for?  She's on her own -- she has worked for the good guys and the bad guys.

Estefi is home and talking urgently into her phone: "I want to know what's going on! Why don't you answer your calls?"  Then she gets a text:  "Bolivar rescued Clara.  The others got blown up."  ¡Maldita sea! She throws down her phone (but without a lot of conviction -- it makes a soft landing on the couch).

The Cobra and Victor eye each other appreciatively, one seductive psycho killer to another.  She'll deal with the client who wants Victor dead.  For now, he has to go back home and get those diamonds.  Then they'll talk.

Navier gently breaks the news to Clara that she will need a new heart.  She worries about how that will feel and whose heart she will have.  He reassures her that her essence as a person will not change.

[The Cobra goes back to her place and finds a bald guy -- her client -- waiting for her.  How is the Victor De Rosas job coming along?  She tells him that everything is fine even as she sidles into place and quickly stabs him to death.  Meh.  It couldn't be helped.  She had to choose between baldy and Victor.  And she chose Victor.]

FELS arrives at Estefi's house.  He looks mad.  "This time you went too far, Estefanía."  "That's all I needed," she says sarcastically. "A sermon from my little brother.  All my diamonds have been stolen and if Victor finds out, he'll kill me!"  FELS frowns down at her.  She is in danger, he says, and not just because of Victor.

End of episodio 101 (first commercial break)

FELS says he's investigating her jewels unofficially.  He's following up on some of Lopez's contacts.  She tells him Christian is also helping her, off the books.  She's pretty cocky about her ability to get out of the mess she's in.

But FELS says there's something else: Esmeeth has gone to Spain to be with Navier and Reina.  If Esmeeth tells Navier that Estefi was behind Clara's kidnapping, he's capable of killing her.

[Clara hopes that her new heart comes from a good person.  Reina gets a letter from Victor promising he'll be back for her.]

[Moto gets nervous when Laz leaves to pick up Román and she finds herself alone with the baby.]

[Susana has a dream that she is a hugely pregnant household drudge.  When she wakes up, Juanjo (who is wearing a shirt with a giant smiling mouth) assures her that he doesn't want her to be like his mother.  He wants her to be herself.  He respects her decision not to have a child.  She softens and says that she may change her mind about that some day.]

[Esmeeth arrives at the hospital.  Reina tells her about Clara's condition.]

[Leiva house:  Christian is all excited about becoming a father.  Connie drops her purse and a bunch of negative pregnancy tests fall out.]

Esmeeth arrives at Clara's bedside in Madrid.  Her yellow suit matches Clara's yellow bumblebee patterned gown.  (It's nice to see Esmeeth out of stark black.)  Navier challenges Esmeeth's intention to be mother and grandmother.  She always knew that Clara was his daughter.  If she had spoken up, everything would have been different.  She admits that is so.

He tells her to get out of his life -- she doesn't deserve a place in it.  Esmeeth listens quietly.  They haven't finishing talking, she says.  She leaves.  Reina joins Navier.  "She's your mother," she says softly.  Navier follows Esmeeth into the waiting area.

"I did what I thought was best," she says.  "Maybe I was wrong.  I'm paying for my mistakes, I know."  Navier still doesn't know why she has come.  "I'm here to tell you the truth: I'm ready to finish off the person who kidnapped Clara.  I don't care about anything else -- if you want, I'll kill Estefi with my bare hands.  She ordered it.  She was the one."

[Navier doesn't believe it at first.  Esmeeth says Estefi admitted it to her and then denied it to FELS.  Estefi is a psychopath and she hates Reina and Clara.]

[Estefi has never understood her brother's feelings for that señora.  She would have killed Esmeeth long ago if it weren't for him.  But if she gets in Estefi's way, she will kill her.  FELS wouldn't send her to jail, would he?  Not after all she has done for him.  If Esmeeth tells Navier, Esmeeth is as good as dead.]

[Esmeeth tells Navier that if he authorizes it, Estefi is as good as dead.  He doesn't.  And he doesn't want Reina to know anything about this conversation.]

[Christian asks Connie how she could deceive him like that.  He knows she doesn't love him, but he has no intention of letting her go.]

[Esmeeth offers to stay at the hospital and look in on Asunción and Clara so Reina can go home and get some rest.]

Moto brings the baby home.  Even though the child's eyes are wide and staring, Moto appears to think she is asleep.  (Perhaps this is an effect of hanging around corpses all day.)

Izzy arrives looking for Laz.  He spots the baby and asks her if she's Moto's.  "Temporarily," says Moto.  "She's beautiful," says Laz.

Is there a cure for maldad?
Navier thanks Esmeeth for saying nothing to Reina.  He asks her to take care of his family for a few days while he is in Las Vegas taking care of business.  Esmeeth is worried that he is going to kill Estefanía.  "Don't ruin your future.  Let me do it.  It would be easy.  She's crazy.  She's sick."  "I know," answers Navier.  "Although I'm not a doctor, I'm going to cure her."

[Connie tells Christian she was thinking of giving all the baby things to Laz.  Christian takes that to mean (correctly) that she doesn't want to get pregnant with his child.  He says he may not be the best of men, but Izzy is worse.  He's in the mafia -- and you only get out of that when you're dead.]

Moto tells Laz that Izzy was looking for him and that he paid a suspicious amount of attention to the baby.

[Navier tells Reina he has to go to Las Vegas for a few days.  He asks her to trust him and not ask questions.  "I love you," she says.  "Just come back."

13 Hours later in Las Vegas

[Susana talks to Greta in her sleep and begs her not to leave.]

Two Bedrooms, Two Unwelcome Visitors

The Cobra sneaks into Victor's bedroom, and aims her silenced weapon at him.  He startles awake.  "You weren't expecting me?" she asks, smirking.

Navier enters Estefi's bedroom and climbs on top of her.  "What's wrong?  Weren't you expecting me?" he asks sardonically.

"I want the four red diamonds," says the Cobra.  "Get them or there will be bloodshed."

"There's been enough bloodshed," says Navier.  "I lost my baby.  You kidnapped my daughter.  She could die because of you.  This is over."

[Navier starts to choke Estefanía.  "I hate you," she screams.  "I hate you too," he says.  He didn't want it to end like this but she brought in on herself with her wickedness.  She was special to him.  He believed she had been good to him -- a true and honest friend.  But he was wrong.  She was treacherous, malicious, perverse -- the worst curse that ever befell him.]

Navier holds a needle and syringe behind his back.  He jabs it into her neck.  She screams.  Then she falls silent.

Victor tries to grab the gun from the Cobra.  She easily eludes him, shoots behind her, and tells him the next bullet will be in his head.  [Victor slips out of bed in his silky black pajamas.  Anybody can be threatening when they have a gun, he says.]

[Wake up, Little Susie:
Juanjo tells Susana she was having a nightmare.  She was talking about Greta being alive.

Juanjo tells her he has to go out.  The Dragon needs him.]

Madrid:
Reina writes in her journal.  She worries that Navier might take justice into his own hands, that he might die...or kill someone.

[The Cobra tells Victor she only wants the red diamonds.  She's going to trust him, but she'll be like the shadow of his shadow.  She'll explain her presence by pretending to be his bodyguard.]

[FELS visits Moto's apartment.  He tells her the dead woman with the diamond was Lopez's lover so he most likely gave her the diamond.  Moto wonders how Lopez got hold of the diamond in the first place.]

Navier sends Yolanda home so he and Estefi can be alone.

[Clara gets to know Esmeeth a little better.  Dr. Mala Suerte comes in and seems to take a special interest in the new visitor.  Clara whispers to Reina that the doc is in love with Esmeeth.]

[FELS brushes off Moto's questions about Lopez and Estefi and changes the subject to babies.  He tells her she can't be an agent and a mother at the same time.  Moto says maybe being unable to have children has made him the way he is.  And maybe Esmeeth is attractive to him because she's not going to want to have his child.]

Esmeeth asks Mala Suerte about the heart transplant.  He assures her that Clara is In Good Hands.  (Several people on The Patio are furtively reviewing their insurance policies.) He also can't help remarking that she is too young and beautiful to be a grandmother.

[FELS and Moto's work session turns into a nookie session.  Since the kid has dibs on the bed, they make do with the counter.]

[Laz dreams that Greta is alive.]

Navier lets Juanjo into Estefi's mansion.  He tells him he just sent Yolanda home.  Did Juanjo get all the papers he asked for?  He did.

Then Juanjo gasps when he sees Estefi sprawled in a chair, completely inert.  Is she dead?

End of episodio 102

[No, says Navier.  He didn't kill her.  He gave her the date rape drug -- and no, he didn't rape her.  He put her to sleep.  Navier tells Juanjo to hurry.  Did he bring the stuff he asked for?]

[Victor agrees to let the Cobra play his bodyguard.  She knocks him down and climbs on top of him.  He boasts the she may be the Cobra, but he's the Black Falcon.]

[Susana calls Estefi and leaves a message that she is coming over to talk to her.  She wants to talk about her  Greta dreams.]

[Laz wants Connie to meet the baby.]

[Post-nookie FELS and Moto.  He says his relationship with Esmeeth is impossible.  (Um. This sort of thing happens, FELS, when you lock your beloved in a cell for four months.)  Will Moto help him forget her?]

[Reina and Esmeeth have some girl talk.  Esmeeth admits she has fallen for the wrong man twice -- first Big O, and now FELS-PELS-GELS.  Sometimes she doesn't know who he is (guffaw!).  At times, she thinks he's a monster.  Dr. Mala Suerte interrupts their conversation.  They need to talk.  Urgently.]

Victor tells Izzy that the Cobra is his new bodyguard.  Why?  Because she managed to get past Izzy and the outside security guys and into his bedroom undetected.  She says she has decided to stay.  "Have the guest bedroom upstairs prepared," she tells Izzy.  She wants to be close to Victor to make sure nothing happens to him.

[Juanjo watches as Navier performs some kind of surgical procedure on Estefi's neck.]

Navier peels off his gloves.  He explains that he implanted a cheep in Estefi so he can monitor her 24 hours a day.  "So you're not going to kill her?"  "I'd have already done it," answers Navier.  Then he adds:  "There are different ways to kill...she's going to live, but inside she may feel more dead than alive."

Dr. Mala Suerte explains that it might take up to a year to get a donor heart from a child.  Clara can't wait that long.  In the interim, she will need an artificial heart.  Esmeeth comforts Reina and tells her to be strong -- for Clara.

[Laz stops by for the baby and catches FELS and Moto together.  Moto later tells FELS that she and Laz are just friends.]

[Izzy asks Victor if the Snake, er, the Cobra, is his lover.  No, she's his killer.  He made a deal to give her the four diamonds just to buy a little time.]

Navier, once again gloved, signs some documents.  Then he carefully places the pen in Estefi's hand (presumably so her prints will be on it) and then puts the pen with the documents.  It's time to take her to the place he inherited from his father, Navier tells Juanjo.

The security guard's cellphone rings.  Navier answers it.  Then he says, evidently surprised: "Susana Santillan?"

Connie overhears Christian on the phone:  "I need to talk to you, Ali.  For God's sake, we have a lot to talk about.  I need you, Ali, I..."

"What are you doing?" asks Connie.  Christian ends his call by saying "I'm on my way."  He tells her it was the station.  They need his help on a job.  He goes to the other room for his gun.  Connie quickly pulls out his phone and redials.  "Hola, Chris," answers the Cobra sunnily.  "What did you forget to tell me?"  The Cobra is confused when the call disconnects.  Connie hands the phone to Christian.  He tells her not to wait up for him.  He leaves.  Me engaña, says Connie through gritted teeth.  "He's cheating on me."

[The Cobra asks Izzy if he's jealous of her.  Izzy is dismissive -- he's been with the boss for years.  "Then you know that I'm his killer."]

Susana arrives at the front door of Estefi's house.  Navier tells her Estefi isn't home.  Susana is glad.  She'd like the chance to talk to him alone.

...Meanwhile, Juanjo has dragged the unconscious and not exactly featherweight form of Estefi just out of Susana's sight...

Susana scolds Navier for his behavior.  He showed no affection for Estefi at Greta's funeral.  And that's not all...

Navier steers Susana firmly out the door -- "Thanks a lot, but I'm not in the mood for a sermon."

Juanjo huffs and puffs as he drags Estefi back to the chair in the living room.  She is beginning to regain consciousness.  Navier tells her they are going for a long ride...a one-way trip.

Madrid
Clara is talking to Reina when the child suddenly can't catch her breath.  Reina calls frantically for the doctor.  Mala Suerte arrives and takes charge.

[Las Vegas: Susana is on the phone with Juanjo.  He tells her he went on a trip with Navier.  Yolanda, still looking to inflict pain, tells Susana that Juanjo spent the night with her.]

[FELS and Moto are still together the next morning.  The baby is crying.  FELS wants Moto to warn Laz not to say anything about them just yet.]

[Parallel Play: Laz feels conflicted about his glimpse of the Moto/FELS thing.  Connie, as usual, is in her own world, convinced that Christian is cheating on her.]

Christian comes to visit Victor.  Is it a social visit or an official one?  Christian says he's there as a friend.  He wants to help Victor.  Victor's not buying it.

Now the Cobra joins them in the study.  Victor introduces her as his new bodyguard.  Christian looks stunned.  The Cobra keeps her cool.

[Reina talks out her desperation at Asunción's bedside.  Esmeeth once more urges her to be strong and reminds her that Clara is now on the emergency list for a donor heart.]

Navier meets with the Director of a psychiatric hospital, a hospital he happens to own.  He tells the doctor that he'd like this to be one of the best institutions of its kind in Florida (Did he mean that?  Did Navier and Juanjo take Estefi to Florida?  Or is everyone just so 'Floricentric' at Telemundo?)  They've fallen on hard times since Big O died, explains the man in the white coat.  Navier says he's going to change all that because the hospital is going to admit someone very important to him...

Cue Juanjo pushing Estefi's wheelchair into the office.

..."My wife," says Navier.  The doctors have told him her condition is genetic and incurable and will get progressively worse...

Navier gets a phone call from Reina.  She tells him that Clara is in crisis.  If she doesn't get a heart very soon, she's going to die.

[Navier asks Juanjo to take Estefi outside so he and the doctor can talk.]

Christian stumbles out of Victor's study, completed nonplussed.  Victor demands an explanation from the Cobra.  What struck Christian dumb?  Her venom?

[Connie blathers on about Christian's supposed infidelity.  Laz wonders if she's just looking for an excuse to leave him.]

[Victor tells Izzy he needs to get those diamonds back.  Izzy has to find out who is heading The Organization.  Izzy tells Victor that he found a dead man (the baldy that the Cobra killed?) Victor says he'd like his crown back too.]

[Yolanda is still showing her claws.  "Juanjo loves me," says Susana.  "He feels sorry for you," says Yolanda, smiling meanly.  "I'm the one who drives him crazy in bed."]

Navier hands over a big fat check to the psychiatrist.
[Money is no object.  Confidentiality is everything.  People will be told she is traveling.]

He wants his wife locked up with absolutely no contact with the outside world.  They only people who can see her are Navier and his assistant.  The doctor smiles.  He has already forgotten the patient's name, he assures Navier.

[Christian calls the Cobra.  "Alicia," he says, "call me.  You can't work with Victor.  You're the best thing I have in this world.  What would I do without you?"]

Christian looks very worried.  He flashes back to a rendezvous with "Alicia."  She gets in his car and tells him they'll kill her if they find her.  She's being followed.  The only way he can save her is by getting rid of these. She hands him a pouch of four pink diamonds.  Christian offers to keep them for her.  "They'll come after you," she says.  On impulse, Christian swallows the pink diamonds.  Glug Glug Glug Glug.

"Ay Alicia," sighs Christian.

Laz and Moto bring the baby to Connie's house.  Connie is upset that the baby doesn't have a name.  "Sometimes I call her Cosita," says Moto.

Victor goes to see FELS in his CIA office.  FELS knows Victor was in Spain, that he found Reina, and that he was assaulted.  Victor agrees it wasn't the best of trips.  In fact, his wife took up with another man, her lover.  He's not one to beg so he decided to let them be happy.

"You're not one to resign yourself either.  What's your plan?" asks FELS.

"Guess."

Navier leans over and whispers to Estefi:  "I suppose you want to say many things to me, but the drugs won't let you talk."

"Basura," she says with some effort.

"Yes, garbage like you," agrees Navier.  "No.  You're worse.  You know why?  Because I'd never mess with an innocent woman and a child.  You made Clara end up on a heart transplant list.  That's your fault!

"Tell me this instant if you're the one who tried to drive Reina crazy!  Were you the one who put a sniper on the roof of the church?  The one who shot her in her house?  The one who tried to poison her?  The one who made it look like she was dead and then locked her up in a cellar?  Answer me!  Are you the one responsible for the bodies with their lips sewn shut?  Was it you?"

Tune in tomorrow and find out...

It was just a logistical problem, folks. I hope I'm not confusing anyone with this new page.

Hi , Novela Maven. I do not watch this show, but I miss you and your wit. You would love La Malquerida. It is a wild ride.

Hi Susanlynn -- Aw, I miss you too and your lovely, distinctive voice. I actually tried Malquerida for a week or two and for some reason, I couldn't get into it. I'm glad you're enjoying it though. We'll have to catch each other at the next rodeo!

That was incredible, NovelaMaven!

Thanks for all the extra info about who's pregnant, who wants to get pregnant, who doesn't want to get pregnant, and where the baby was. So, who was Roman with? The final name Moto suggested was Agatha, which Connie liked, until Moto said the inspiration was Agatha Cristie' s murder mysteries. Ha!

Also giving me a chuckle was Dr. Mala Suerte coming on to Smith, or should I say Ms. de la Vega.

Nav sure was slow on the uptake about Stefi, but when he finally took action, it was a doozy!

Fantastic job with the 3-fer,NovelaMaven!! I know how hard it is to do one!! It's no problem putting it on a new page. So much easier! You managed some snark, too. I liked:
If it weren't for Dr. Mala Suerte, the Dragon family would have no luck at all.
Wake up, Little Susie:
Is there a cure for maldad?
but my favorite is:
It must be Bring Baby to the Morgue Day

Well, at least we cleared up the diamonds in Christian's stomach confusion. Pink diamonds, eh? The rosé of diamonds, I guess.

I guess the dangerous killer that FELS was talking about to someone on the phone in a cut scene on Monday's episode was the Cobra.

Clara sure looked good for someone who just had major surgery.

It will be interesting to see what Navier has in mind for Estefi. Nothing could be too bad.

Wow, NovelaMaven, what an amazing recap! Thanks so much for all the work that went into this.

I can barely keep track of all the plot elements, so I don't have any comments to offer about them. I was amazed to see that in the midst of all this chaos, your wit was still very much in evidence. I especially liked your remark about Dr. Moto: "Even though the child's eyes are wide and staring, Moto appear to think she is asleep. (Perhaps this is an effect of hanging around corpses all day.)" Also, the "Wake up Little Susie" header (I still love that song!). And, of course, "Esmeeth asks Mala Suerte about the heart transplant. He assures her that Clara is In Good Hands."

I'm heartsick that Telemundo is mucking up this gem, but since they are, I guess I'm glad our pain will only last for another week or so.

Whew! What a relief! I was beginning to think the Reinamaniacs would never find me here, hiding in plain sight!

Vivi, I liked the naming riff too -- Anastasia? (for the corpse) Lazara? Connie junior? Juanja? Agatha? (for her murder stories). And for now Moto is content to use "Cosita" (little thing), what people sometimes call their dogs.

I think Román was supposed to be in school.

Thanks so much, Jean! (You certainly DO know what these triples involve.)

So we sort of know about the pink diamonds though there are all sorts of new questions opened here... What has Christian been up to?

There are so few people left with ONE NAME -- Connie, Laz, Juanjo, Yolanda -- the salt of the earth types.

Will Virginia de la Vega end up happily married to a Spanish doctor? [snort]

Sadly, Moto and FELS seem made for each other.

Would they really let Clara die? If not, who has to die so that she can live? And if it's Greta, where is she now?

Hi Juanita -- Welcome back to the asylum! So glad you enjoyed the recap though I imagine not too much makes sense.

Yes, that thing with the baby was so funny. There's Moto going on and on, begging the child not to wake up and then the camera gives us this shot of a fully awake and alert little chunker taking in the world around her.

[At least no one can accuse Telemundo of abusing babies -- they seem to have taken one or two shots of this little one and they just slot one in when the scene calls for her. Awake? Asleep? Who cares!]

I was wrong about Connie being pregnant. I guess I thought she wasn't pregnant when she told Christian that she was and the got pregnant by having sex with Izzy. I guess she was just hoping she was pregnant so that she could deal with her lie to Christian. Here's a tip, Connie, don't carry around a whole lot of negative pregnancy test sticks.

I haven't watched episode 102 yet. I am shocked and saddened that Dra Moto had nookie with FELS. He is just completely bad.

And yes, I assume it was he who told Estefi, or let her find out, about all the CIA agents. And yes, treason is still a capital offense.

It was funny that Dr Mala Suerte was hitting on Esmeeth.

Is Clara going to have 3 heart surgeries? - last night's; an artificial heart and a real transplant. Sheesh, that's a lot for a kid to endure. I can't believe they are going to let her die.

Jean, I agree that FELS has to have been the source for any and all info Estefi has about the CIA. He has probably been confiding state secrets to her for years. Just like Navier, he trusted her blindly.

"Here's a tip, Connie, don't carry around a whole lot of negative pregnancy test sticks."
Hee hee! Besides, they all have pee on them. Ewww!

"Is Clara going to have 3 heart surgeries?"
My guess is that they will get a donor heart at the last minute. But whose heart? And will Clara survive?

NovelaMaven wrote: "My guess is that they will get a donor heart at the last minute. But whose heart?"

At the risk of seeming morbid and/or insensitive or worse, I'll suggest that perhaps that's why Román is in the telenovela. Many of us were scratching our heads trying to figure out why he was included. Well.... A runaway car, a stray bullet (we can always ask Dr. Mala Suerte--in his other life, he continually comes up with possibilities).

‘’NovelaMaven --- thank you for the three-cap (bless your heart!) and of course the snark. Among my favs:

--- ”Even though the child's eyes are wide and staring, Moto appear to think she is asleep. (Perhaps this is an effect of hanging around corpses all day.) “
BwaHahahahaaaaa!

--- ”(Mala Suerte) assures her that Clara is In Good Hands. (Several people on The Patio are furtively reviewing their insurance policies.)”

--- ” Since the kid has dibs on the bed, they make do with the counter.”

I have whiplash from trying to keep up with the warp speed pace of three episodes crammed into one. This is almost as bad as trying to watch a 6-hr DVD version of a telenovela. WAIT! It is just as bad because so much happens in one normal episode of Reina!

The outfit Esmeeth was wearing in Spain is the same one she has on in the cast karaoke of “Bailando”.

”[FELS and Moto's work session turns into a nookie session”
Really??? They went horizontal??? The surprises never end, do they!?!

I am not feeling very confident about Clara’s prognosis and hope that wasn’t an anvil I heard last night. I’m not feeling very good about Dr. MalaSuerte, either. I cannot get past those Allstate commercials! Can a child receive an adult’s heart? (Maybe Esmeeth’s heart?)

I hope those pee sticks were triple-wrapped in Ziploc bags. Eeew, indeed.

So Christian has another skeleton in his closet, and her name is Cobra. This might be interesting.

Yikes, Juanita, that is a Crackpot™ Theory! Roman and Clarita did know each other when Laz was living in Victor's house.

No spoilers but Clarita's heart crisis is not far off (what isn't in this telescoped novela?) and Navier is in town so that he could whisk the heart to Spain in a private plane...

Thanks Novelamaven for your heroic work in recapping this episode. All of you recappers are doing heroic work in trying to give sense and context to this chopped up mess.

I saw the episodes list on the previous page. They filmed 140 episodes and we have 37 left so even at 3 episodes per day it should be about two and a half weeks of ultima capitulos. Unless, of course, they decide to give us 4 episodes a day (not beyond them)!

I don't find most Univision novelas very original, so I'm not likely to find anything that interest me there. However I have decided that if Telemundo ever starts chopping up any other novela that I'm watching, I will bail immediately. We fans deserve better than that.

Penny

Juanita, you may be onto something. Roman is the same age as Clara, they have an emotional connection, Laz now has another child (meaning that Laz, Reina, and Navier will all have lost one child although Reina's and Navier's was unborn). Great Crockpot Theory™!

Doris,

"This is almost as bad as trying to watch a 6-hr DVD version of a telenovela. WAIT! It is just as bad because so much happens in one normal episode of Reina!"

Exactly!

Penny, we DO deserve better. I hope you've expressed your feelings to Telemundo. I have done my share of complaining. I've taken to writing my thanks to the people who imagined this quite brilliant and creative novela. I think they need to know that some of us -- in fact, a lot of us -- appreciated their efforts.

Hello all...I'm trying to watch the episodes on jean's blog, but they won't play. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?? Gracias from an anonymous reinamaniac!

You are right Penny. If you look at the list that was posted (assuming it is correct and it has been so far), it is 3-fers through next Tues. and then it goes to 2-fers and that leaves 16 episodes until the end. If they showed those full episodes (ojalá) that would be 3 weeks plus one day except that they usually have special programming on Thanksgiving. We can hope.

5 ....... 104 - 106
6 ....... 107 - 109
7 ....... 110 - 112

Another NovelaMaven Tour de Force. I can't even do a One-in-One in less than 6 hours. My Beanie is off to you!

It was wonderful to find this Reina on the Front Page. We deserve it!

So, now we know when Cristian was being operated on and we heard and saw the four little clunks going into the stainless steel pan, they were not bullets and Victor had not shot him with diamonds. He'd swallowed them. Yes, what HAS Cristian been up to?

We finally get introduced to Lt. Renteria in disguise. I like her better here--a little looser, quirkier, smart mouthed. And--she's got Victor by the short and curly's.

So, was it Lopez 2.0 that cleaned Stefi out? With his murder, where did the stash go? And, now that we have Anastasia's body, (just rhetorically speaking) what was Pilar, chopped liver?

I'm not worried about Clara.

I love Stefi's punishment. She can pole dance for the medical staff.

I'm sorry Moto caved to FELS "charms."

I would like to see Greta and Laz raise baby Cosita, but I also began to like Moto and Laz together. They made a good team. Moto was a fool to cave to FELS "charms." Oh, did I say that already? I meant it.

I wish Virginia de la Vega hadn't worn that particular shade of yellow. A rich, sunshiny yellow-orange would have still complemented her black top. Dr. Mala Suerte doesn't have the same "charm" as FELS, but maybe this is what Virginia needs. A normal life.

Or, don't CIA agents ever get to retire and only leave when they are dead, like the mafia?

Poor Connie. Of all the characters she was the most earnest, honest, open, and sincere. And, she's been the one on an emotional roller-coaster for 103 episodes.

Anonymous 1:57 - It's not my blog, it's Mauricio's. If you are having a problem, it is probably in your computer or internet connection. You need a computer with fast processor, plenty of RAM and a high-speed internet connection. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Anita Yes, Anastasia, the 45 year old woman with a giant red diamond in her underwear has kind of gotten lost in the mix of the overload of episodes.

Did Lopez hand out the diamonds to all his girlfriends like party favors? If someone stabbed Anastasia and then strangled her for the diamond, why didn't that person search her thoroughly enough to find the diamond in her underwear? How would you conceal a diamond that big in your underwear anyway? ;-)

" How would you conceal a diamond that big in your underwear anyway?"
A guy could get away with it much easier than a woman. ;o)

"How would you conceal a diamond that big in your underwear anyway?"
Doris said, "A guy could get away with it much easier than a woman. ;o)"

is that a giant red diamond in your underwear or are you just glad to see me>,

Anita, thanks for the nice words!

"what was Pilar, chopped liver?"

I admit to having similar thoughts. Lopez 2.0 a player? Yikes.

As for concealing red diamonds on one's person, we have the example of the Queen of Diamonds herself. Of course, in both cases (as jewel thief and as bride), it didn't work out too well.

Awesome job w/the recap NovelaMaven! You and the rest of the recapping team all deserve gold stars!! Especially with the choppy episodes ya'll have to deal with.

Are we seriously being introduced to a new character who's a femme fatale assassin named La Cobra??? (Right now I'm listening to "Loca" by Skakira which seems to fit perfectly)

Not sure when it happened but I've realized that I've come to like Dr. Moto. She deserves better than FELS. I also like her friendship with Laz, & I wonder if the writers plan to use her as a Greta substitute. If that were to happened, I wouldn't mind.

Estefi has gotten on my last nerve. I could not believe the version of events she gave Susanna about Javier & Reina. Javier just throw away the key & don't look back. But I was glad to see him ask Estefi about her involvement in the "Let's Drive Reina Loca" plan, and all that stuff wasn't forgotten. Can't wait to see her response tonight!!

Doris, I was thinking the same thing about whether or not a kid can receive an adult heart. In TNLand it might not matter, and if that were the case I'm theorizing that Asuncion might be the one to donate.

jlk

NovelaMaven, thanks a MILLION for letting us know what happened in the cut episodes. I was stunned FELS and Moto did the deed. Well, we knew FELS had crossed too many lines to end up with Esmeeth.

Regarding the heart transplant, see below:

"Heart transplant donors are chosen based on matching the recipient's blood type. In addition, we accept a donor heart within 20% of the recipient's weight as well as height. In the last decade, I do not recall accepting a donor heart that is older than the recipient.

When pediatric donor hearts are placed into children, they will grow with the child. On rare occasions, we may place a large child's heart into a small adult. It performs well and does not increase in size."

Methinks this rules out Greta. But on the other hand telenovela medicine is much like telenovela legal facts, infinitely flexible!

I love, love, love Navier putting Estefanía in the booby hatch! I just hope she isn't so thoroughly tranquilized 24-7 so as to not appreciate the full misery of her situation.

The less I see of Connie, the better I like it. So, supposedly she had a false alarm, was two days late, thought she was pregnant and blabbed to Christian? And then decided to keep on pretending? ¿Qué?

I hadn't seen the Cobra actress before. She's good!

Thanks Novelera for the info on heart transplants. I didn't think that they accepted hearts older than the recipient, but like you said tn rules are infinitely flexible!

I just hope she isn't so thoroughly tranquilized 24-7 so as to not appreciate the full misery of her situation. Exactly!

I've added Eps 104, 105, and 106 to the blog.

Thanks, Mauricio!!

Well! Tonight's "dopplegänger" made my beanie hat fly right off my head!

Doris: I have given up in trying to understand, I am just here for the ride. There are so many destroyed beanie hats, I don't even a body suit can help anymore.-- Nia

What I meant to say is I don't have a beanie body suit anymore. Sorry I am on my iPad typing this. I forgot my attachable keyboard... Nia

Doris: At this point, I have given up all hope in trying to understand anymore, I am just here for the ride. I really like this tele nova and I hate that they are butchering it so. I have so many destroyed beanie hats. My poor beanie body suit is in tatters. --Nia

WELL! Color me Rosie all over! We got the telenovela Twin Trope after all. What else could possibly happen before this is over. I wish I were saying, THIS IS GETTING GOOD!

Nia--A Beanie Body Suit? Where does one get one of those? Does it come with a bullet-proof silver flask?

Body Count is soaring. Will give you an update tomorrow.

Thanks, jlk! I'll grant you that Moto has her moments, especially when she is standing up to FELS. I just never liked her as a spoiler either between Greta and Laz or between Esmeeth and FELS (when that looked like it was serious).

"Are we seriously being introduced to a new character who's a femme fatale assassin named La Cobra???"

Um...and your point? :D

Novelera, thanks for the info about heart transplants! I'm so glad you enjoyed the recap. I know it was insanely long...

Nia, we are ALL just here for the ride! (But I'd like to know more about that beanie body suit!)

Anita, not exactly the twin trope, hm? More tomorrow after Jean has spun her magic.

Mauricio, thanks for keeping up the blog. (You know my computer doesn't like the videos either, but that's my problem, not yours.)

NovelaMaven – What an astonishing job of recapping you’ve done. I’m in awe.

I haven’t been able to join you all on Caray, so I’m just chiming in. I actually watched tonight’s show while it was live, instead of late the next day as I usually do, and I’m getting so lost, I had to come see what the heck was going on.

I’ve been loving this show for its wild plotting (among other things), but now, towards the end, I’m getting confused. When I see all the cut scenes you put in - bless your heart! – no wonder I’m lost. I couldn’t figure out why Victor suddenly had a body guard, and why Izzy didn’t seem to mind. I wondered what happened to the baby. I wondered… well, lots of things.

It fries my bacon that they cut these things, but that they cut them so heavily right towards the end makes me hulk out. No fair! No fair after we’ve invested so much time and devotion to a show, that the final weeks, in which everything is explained and resolved, so much explanation and resolution is cut.

Anybody know who we write to to protest?

Thanks so much, Maggie!

"No fair after we’ve invested so much time and devotion to a show, that the final weeks, in which everything is explained and resolved, so much explanation and resolution is cut."

Yup. Alas, you're singing to the choir.

This is an address I've written to (though have never had the courtesy of a reply or even an acknowledgement):

Te.Escuchamos@Telemundo.com

Some of us have posted on Telemundo's Facebook page or posted comments on Twitter. (Personally, I've given up on scolding Telemundo -- it's like trying to reason with one of the sociopaths in the novela -- and have taken to thanking the writers and actors for their amazing work.)

P.S. You might want to take a peek at the last couple of posted Reina pages for more of the missing pieces. See especially Monday, November 3 for the joint effort of Caroline and Jean.

T'mundo's email should be NoTeEscuchamos@Telemundo.com

Is there a recap of Wednesday night's show(s)?

"T'mundo's email should be NoTeEscuchamos@Telemundo.com"

Snort! No kidding, Doris!

I didn't want to get too far behind in this scrunched up novella, so here's a little tide-you-over until the recap is up.

THE WISDOM OF THE DRAGON
Subtitled: I Cannot Reveal Who is Making This Up

WEEK SIXTEEN – Mon Oct 20

He who hesitates when facing a dragon, loses.

When la llamada de la sangre regarding dragona daughters is in doubt and he doesn’t believe the child’s mother, a dragon can turn to DNA; but should be skeptical about believing the results.

A Dragon trusts no one, not even science. (See prior entry).

A Dragon always greets his mother with a drawn gun.

A Dragon can survive torture, as long as he remembers all the other things that were done to him that were worse (like abandonment in a church as an infant and being raised in an orphanage).

A Dragon is always in control of everything, except when he makes it look as though he doesn’t.

When it is cold and damp in Madrid, a dragon is permitted to don a dark fisherman’s knit turtle-neck sweater to wear inside.

WEEK SEVENTEEN – Mon Oct 27

A Dragon is a speed-healer.

A Dragon is a speed-reader.

A Dragon is a speed-traveler.

A Dragon should study genetics in his spare time (also Diamonds, Legends and Passions).

A Dragon learns deft movements with cheese and sharp knives (it helps when the cheese also has a gun).

A Dragon is not embarassed to buy a home pregnancy test at a local Madrid pharmacy (it’s not for himself, of course).

A Dragon never makes a promise he can’t keep (especially where his rival for the damsel is concerned).

A Dragon can make a $30 high school ring look like $12 million bucks.

A Dragon can melt into a hopless puddle of sentimentality when he hears his damsel call him “♫MY GUY♫."

A Dragon can protest too much, to no avail, if he’s confronting his superior.

A Dragon must take a Friday Night break once in awhile to recuperate.

Thank you so much, NovelaMaven! And Doris, so true!

I started watching this because of Eugenio Siller, but also because I wanted to try a Telemundo novela as I was so annoyed with Televisa’s cutting shows so heavily, particularly at the end. At first, I thought this show wasn’t cut at all, but Vivi told me on another feed that indeed is was cut. I must say that for a long time, they did it so artfully that I didn’t notice.

But now I sure notice the cutting. Is anyone aware of any viewer revolt? I gather Mexico gets to see the full episodes, so the revolt would be in the U.S. These nighttime novelas are the bread and butter of the two networks, so I’m astonished they would play so fast and loose with their viewership. Here in the L.A. area, the top novelas are the number one shows in the ratings, beating out any English-language offering. Why are the viewers not storming the castle with torches and pitchforks? If something like this was afoot with popular English-language shows, the viewers would be very vocal and the brouhaha would make the papers.

This is really late and really rough, folks and I haven’t watched about the last 15 minutes of the third episode. I got a late start. Deleted scenes are indicated in italics, thus.

Miércoles – Parte Uno

Navier asks the drugged Estefi if she was the one who tried to make Reina kill herself. She won’t have an opportunity to be honest and cleanse her sins again. Navier wants her to pay for each and every second that Reina and Clarita have suffered. He says that she will spend the rest of her life alone in this place without family, friends or money, paying for her sins. He hopes she has a long life.

Reina tells unconscious Clara that she can’t die. She is a fighter. She is strong. She has the blood of the dragon. Esmeeth comes in and says that Asunción has woken up and is asking for her.

Victor is with FELS. FELS asks him to cooperate with the CIA to help protect him and his family from the killers sent by the “Organization.” Vic replies that he’ll think about it.

Asunción wants to tell Reina about her father before it’s too late. He was a very dangerous man capable of doing anything for money. He wasn’t the saint she thought he was. He deceived her his whole life. He caused so much pain she that she thinks Reina is paying for his sins.

Cobra/Alicia is waiting for Vic at CIA headquarters. She finally takes Christian’s call. He wants to warn her that Vic is dangerous. “I’m more dangerous,” replies Cobra. Vic leaves with her.

Laz warns Christian about cheating on his sister with Alicia.

Dr Mala Suerte brings Esmeeth some water and says that he isn’t only a doctor; he’s a good listener. She tells him that she is a hard, cold woman who never cries but now with her granddaugher’s situation, she feels things she never has before. Dr MS moves in to comfort her but her phone rings. It’s FELS. She doesn’t take the call.

Dra Moto comes in as FELS gets Esmeeth’s voice mail. They start making out again.

Esmeeth offers to find out more about Reina’s father. She replies that she believes Asuncion that her father was a bad guy who killed people but that doesn’t change the fact that he was a great dad for her. She doesn’t want to know any more. In fact, she doesn’t want to think about vengeance or death or anything except getting her daughter’s life back with a new heart. Esmeeth says that she respects Reina’s decision.

Navier tells Juanjo that he has to go back to Spain because of Clara worsening condition but he’ll be back. He says that Big O bought this psychiatric hospital for a reason and he’ll find out what it is. We see someone peeking through a curtain.

Vic and Cobra are at Vic’s sex pad and film studio. Vic ostensibly has come for some papers but he tries to put the moves on Cobra. She tells him not to invade her personal space. He shouldn’t provoke a Cobra. Vic replies that she isn’t a Cobra. She’s Alicia, his Alicia.

Miércoles – Parte Dos

Vic asks Cobra/Alicia how long she thought it would take him to remember. He never forgets the smell of a woman’s skin and hers smells like vanilla. It was a very long time ago when she begged him to make love to her. He forgot that she was a minor and the sister of his best friend and a virgin.

Christián laughs at Laz’s accusation. “Would you sleep with Connie?” he asks and tells Laz that Alicia is his sister. Laz doesn’t believe it. Chris has never mentioned a sister. Chris says that his sister is “muy especial.”

FELS shows Dra Moto Christian’s cell phone records. It shows that he has made calls to a coded phone in Spain. Dra Moto is sorry that she has to keep a certain distance from him to pretend that their relationship is professional.

Alicia tells Vic that she isn’t his or anyone’s property. She doesn’t even remember him. She sees her brother from time to time because he is the only real part of her past. Vic is no one to her. Vic doesn’t believe her. He says that he was her first. She says that’s for women in telenovelas. The first, the 15th or the last one, they’re all the same, says Alicia. If he thinks she won’t kill him because of that, he’s wrong. She wants the diamonds.

Christian tells Laz that Alicia was in the police like all the Palacios but she left to do other things. Connie comes in. Christian tells her that Alicia is his sister. He says that he never would be unfaithful. Being unfaithful cost him his wife, his best friend, Susana and left him sleepless at night for many years. He would never be unfaithful again.

Reina calls Navier. She needs him with her. He says that he will be back with her soon.

Estefi is in a wheelchair. She tries to get up but the attendant gives her an injection.

Estefi wakes up in a bed with restraints on her wrists and ankles. She cries for help. An attendant comes in and gives her an injection. The doctor comes in and tells her that she is in a psychiatric hospital. She offers him money. She says that she needs her life, her mansion, her dolls. She flashes back to what Navier said when he injected her for the first time. She curses Navier. She says that his real hell hasn’t started yet.

Asunsion tells Esmeeth that there was more that she couldn’t tell Reina. Things so dirty and horrible that she can hardly talk about them. Esmeeth says that Asuncion can tell her whatever she wants. Reina comes in and tells them that Navier is on his way back. Reina is happy. She thought something bad might have happened.

Victor doesn’t give up on hitting on Alicia. He proposes a partnership of the Cobra and the Black Falcon. Alicia laughs and says that Victor knows so little of her.

Juanjo gets home from his trip with Navier. Susana has sexy underwear on. This is what she does to show him why he shouldn’t be unfaithful with Yolanda. JJ just laughs and carries her off.

Miércoles – Parte Tres

Navier is back at the hospital. He asks about Clara. Reina replies that she is weak.

Estefi wakes up. The restraints are off. An attendant comes in. She pretends to be asleep. When the attendant is called out, she gets up and goes to the door.

Dr Mala Suerte tells Reina and Navier that they can’t wait any longer. Clara’s condition is deteriorating. They have to put in an artificial heart. Reina tells Navier that they have to pray that a donor shows up.

Susana and Juanjo make up. Laz comes over and asks if they can watch the baby. Susana takes one look at our little chubber and says that she looks exactly like Greta.

FELS and FELS and Dra Moto are at in Chris’ office. They want the police to help find Estefi who has disappeared. Victor comes in. He doesn’t care about Estefi. She can take care of herself. FELS and Dra Moto leave. Christian wants to talk to Vic about his new bodyguard – his sister Alicia or should he call her Cobra.

Said Cobra is at a safe deposit box. She opens it and there are three of the four red diamonds and the crown.

Reina embraces Clara as she goes into surgery.

Susana can’t take her eyes off of the baby. She says that the baby looks just like Greta when Victor put her in her arms. Laz and Juanjo attribute this to grief over what happened to Greta and to their belief that all babies look pretty much the same.

Estefi is trying to escape from they asylum and she ends up in the room of a patient with books and easels.

Reina tells Navier that all they can do is pray. Dr MalaSuerte comes in to say that they have stopped the procedure because they have a donor. There is relief and hugging.

Estefi finally sees who is in the room. “Octavio,” she says, “Octavio de Rosas.” Yes, replies the guy, I am Octavio de Rosas.

End of Capitulo 104

Estefi tells Big 2O that he is dead. Is he a ghost? Big 2O says that yes, he has been dead for many years. He is a ghost.

Victor tells Christian that he doesn’t like ghosts that return, or mysteries. That’s Alicia, replies Christian. He doesn’t understand why she is working for Vic and Vic doesn’t say. Whatever the reason, Chris doesn’t want Alicia working for Vic. She has become dangerous. Vic replies that is the difference between them. He has always been dangerous.

Alicia puts on the crown and says that she is the Queen of Assassins.

Estefi asks what Big 2O is doing there. He says that he doesn’t know her. He gets nervous and tells her to leave him in peace. Estefi thinks that she is going crazy. An attendant comes in and forces her to leave.

Dra Moto is with FELS in a sexy outfit and with her hair down. She is ready for nookie but FELS is worried about where Estefi has disappeared to. Moto is not pleased with what she considers to be his putting the job first. FELS demonstrates that he doesn’t do that.

Susana’s letter is from Estefi and says that she is going on a trip. Juanjo thinks that is logical after what has happened. Susana replies that Estefi was her only friend. JJ and Laz say that Susana can be friends with Connie. She’s a great friend. She should get some new friends. Susana doesn’t appear to be convinced.

Izzy and Cobra share a drink and stake out their positions with Victor.

Miércoles – Parte Cuatro

Dr Mala Suerte tells Navier, Reina and Esmeeth that the heart is on its way. They are prepping Clara to operate as soon as it arrives. Reina thanks God. There was bad accident in Aviles and the family decided to donate their daughter’s organs. Navier asks if the family can be contacted but the doc says that donations are anonymous.

Susana has come to see Vic. Izzy is there. Since Susana is living with Juanjo, he asks how Connie and Palacios are getting along. Susana replies that she hardly ever sees them. In comes Victor. Susana gives him the letter from Estefi. Susana says that even though it is Estefi’s hand and has her signature, she thinks it is false. Cobra is eavesdropping.

Esmeeth tells Navier that she has checked in with the office in Las Vegas and Estefi has disappeared. Did Navier kill her? Does he know where she is? Navier replies that he doesn’t want to talk about that woman. He checks her location on his phone.

Estefi curses Navier for doing this to her.

Bad news on the heart front. Bad weather has grounded the plane with the heart. No pilot is willing to fly in such weather – except Navier, of course. He will go get his daughter’s heart.

The attendant comes in to Estefi’s room. She asks if he is going to drug her again. She doesn’t want that. She wants sex. She takes off her shirt and says that she is a star. Has the guy seen any of her movies?

The head doc tells Big 2O that he knows that someone was in his room the previous night. Big2O says that it was strange. The woman knew his name, knew he was Octavio de Rosas. She didn’t know that he has been there for 50 years [I thought that’s what he said but it can’t be 50 years, not if he knows Esmeeth]. Big 2O says that she doesn’t know how he has been deprived of his future, his family, his inheritance, his identity as Octavio de Rosas.

Navier is going for the heart. He is a licensed pilot.

Big 2O and the doctor talk about Estefi, how attractive she is and that she is married while Estefi seduces the attendant and smothers him with a pillow.

Susana tells Victor that Estefi wouldn’t have written a letter saying that couldn’t deal with the grief of losing her daughter. Izzy catches Cobra listening. Victor tells Susana that maybe Estefi did write the letter. When she leaves, he tells Izzy that Estefi is not one to take vacations or write goodbye letters.

FELS has brought Yoli in for questioning. She says that the only thing she knows is that Navier was there for romance with his wife. So it was Navier, says FELS.

Big 2O gets a box out from under his bed. He looks at pictures. He says, “Ah Geronimo, how young we were and how much we looked alike with our lives before. You were filled with hate and were looking to stab me in the back. In this room, there is no hate – there are pictures and music. A room filled with memories of a life that couldn’t be. Estefi comes into the room and locks the door from the inside [in what mental hospital, can a patient lock themselves in?] “What are you doing here? Big 2O asks over and over.

Navier tells Reina that he has to try and get the heart in the next few hours or it will all be in vain – the death of their baby, their daughter’s wait. Reina tells him to take care of himself. She couldn’t stand another tragedy. Navier says that he has never failed her before and he won’t fail her now. He will come back with the heart for her and their child. Esmeeth says that she knows he will succeed. Maybe it’s because they share the same blood. “Maybe it’s because I’m your son,” says Navier. This is not goodbye, says Navier. “I will bring the heart because for me there isn’t bad weather or danger.” He runs off.

Miércoles – Parte Cinco

Vic tells Cobra that Izzy reported that she was spying on him. He asks what she is hiding. She says that he doesn’t have any options. He replies that he is getting tired of this game. Who has disappeared asks Cobra? Your “gran amor?”

Big 2O tells Estefi that she shouldn’t be there. They might hurt her. She says that she is going to escape but first she has to know who he is. She is calmer now. The drugs are out of her system. She doesn’t believe in ghosts. She asks if his death was a sham. Big 2O is not stupid. He realizes that the imposter who took his life must be dead.

FELS call Esmeth and tells her that Estefi is still missing. She doesn’t care. FELS says that she should care. Navier was involved. He was at Estefi’s house. FELS doesn’t know what happened but Navier dismissed the servants and didn’t leave any fingerprints. Esmeeth says that FELS seems very upset that Estefi is missing. He tells her that they received an anonymous note that says that if Estefi doesn’t turn up soon, the list of the 179 agents will be released with Navier’s name at the top. Her son will be the first to die. He hangs up. He says that Estefi had better turn up or he will kill Navier himself.

Dra Moto tells Laz that FELS was different last night. She says she felt different, too. Laz thinks that Moto might be thinking differently because she is taking care of a baby. Moto doesn’t think so.

Juanjo gets a call from the mental hospital. He is typing it into his computer. The “loca” killed a nurse. He says that will be the title of his next novel. Susana comes in. She tells him that she thinks the note she was sent was false and she has a bad feeling about Estefi. She wants JJ to help her find Estefi.

Estefi begs Big 2O to tell her who he is. Who stole his identity? She doesn’t understand. She isn’t just anyone. She is his favorite son’s wife. Big 2O says that he never had a son, never had a family. The attendants are pounding on the door. They finally break in and drag Estefi off.

Esmeeth tells Reina that Javier’s got the heart! Happy. Then she gets a call. Navier’s plane has disappeared from the radar. Sad. We see the plane flying in clouds and lightning. The control tower tells Navier to return to the airport he left from. Navier replies that he is continuing with his flight plan.

Izzy reports to Vic on his investigation into López. He mentions the dead Ansastasia as one of López’ girlfriends and says that López knew the Cobra really well.

Estefi is back in bed with the restraints. She tells the doctor that she has lots of money – more than her husband. The doctor says that her husband was right that she is a dangerous killer. He is going to cure her. He has his methods. The attendants bring in a device that looks like it gives electroshocks. The doctor says that she is a murderer so this is appropriate. It will cure her or kill her. They attach electrodes, put in a mouth guard and shock Estefi. This scene is intercut with scenes of Navier requesting permission for an emergency landing in Madrid.

Esmeeth can’t contact the airport. Dr. Mala Suerte says that there is no news. If the heart doesn’t get there within an hour, they can’t use it.

FELS goes batshit on his agents about their lack of progress in finding Estefi. He tells Dra Moto that he is sure that Navier had something to do with Esteifi’s disappearance. Moto says that she has only seen him like this when things are out of his control. She says isn’t it time he told her what is going on between him and that woman.

Juanjo can’t reach Navier. JJ asks Susana why she is so sure that the note from Estefi is false. Susana replies that private things between her and Estefi cause her to believe this. JJ asks her to confide in him. Susana goes to take care of the baby and Laz comes in. Susana announces that the baby has a high fever!!

Big 2O is painting. The doctor comes in and tells him not to get in the way or… Or what, asks Big 2O, you’ll kill me. Go ahead.

Miércoles – Parte Cinco

Connie asks Christián about Alicia. He says that she was a cop until she killed an innocent bystander. She is special but has made many mistakes. He is afraid of what she might do. She and Vic together are a ticking time bomb. They could end up killing each other.

Vic asks Cobra when she met López. Who is she really besides being Cobra and Alicia Palacios. She knew that López had the diamonds. She knows a lot more than she is saying. He puts the Injecto-Death 3000 to her neck and demands that she talks or he will kill her.

Reina tells Esmeeth that they are preparing Clara to get the artificial heart. Esmeeth is sure that Navier will show up. What if he is dead? asks Reina.

Estefi says that she will survive and make everyone pay. They will all meet in hell. Navier will regret not killing her. She will come back stronger and more dangerous than ever.

Where are you, Navier, cries Reina. Then in runs Navier with the heart!! What a guy!

End of Capitulo 105

Navier tells Reina that their daughter’s life will be saved. We deserve that, says Reina. They hug. Behind them Esmeeth points to her neck. [Is she suggesting that it was cross that helped them?]

Cobra tells Vic that she could stab him in stomach before she died of the Injecto-Death poison. She can’t kill him while she is awake. Fine, says Vic, then he’ll wait until he finds her asleep. They kiss.

Big 2 O tells the head doctor that he is fed up with life inside these four walls. He is ready to die. He says that he knows who is who and what is what. His whole story is in his head but he won’t tell it ever.

Navier asks Reina to get him some coffee. Esmeeth tells Navier about Picasso’s call and threat. He tells her that he knows she doesn’t believe him but it doesn’t matter. She replies that it should matter to him. Estefi told Picasso that it was he who told the names on the list. Navier says that he didn’t have that information to tell her. He says that if Estefi has that information, then someone more powerful than he is protecting her - someone inside the organization. They have to find out who that is.

Estefi has a dream that FELS comes to save her.

FELS reams out Dra Moto for asking him for explanations in front of his team. Moto is surprised that is what is bothering him. He is out of control because Navier came to LasVegas without permission. She wants to know why it is so important that they find Estefi. FELS says that Estefi is very important to him. Moto gets a call about the baby’s fever. She says that their conversation isn’t over. FELS calls for a plane to be put at his disposition.

Juanjo asks Laz if the baby’s condition is serious. Laz says that babies get fevers all the time but he feels in his heart like this baby is his.

Connie wants to know more about Alicia. She wants to meet her. Christián says that is not a good idea.

Vic had got Cobra on the bed. He says that she might know a lot about weapons but he knows how to wage his battles in bed.

Miércoles – Parte Seis

Esmeeth tells Navier that apparently López stole the diamonds. Navier says that Estefi doesn’t need them where she is. Esmeeth asks what he did with Estefi. Why won’t he confide in her? She has come as her real self, Virginia de la Vega, someone she hasn’t been for many years. Navier says that he is sorry but his attention is in the operating room where his daughter is having surgery. Reina comes back with the coffee. She says that she took extra time so that Nav and Esmeeth could talk. Is there something they want to tell her? Navier says that he has nothing to tell her. Reina and Esmeeth go in search of information on the progress of the operation.

Operating room. Dr Mala Suerte make the incision.

Victor and Cobra post sex. He says that she kills for money. He robs for passion. There is some more byplay and Cobra says that Vic doesn’t have a grandma. Vic is serious now. He wants to know about Lopez. Cobra says that they were both hired killers when they met. He betrayed her and stole the diamonds. She knows that he can get them back. Vic asks why she can’t get the diamonds. She replies that she is only a hired killer. What do you want to be? Ask Vic, “To be the queen,” replies Cobra. She leaves and Vic says that she there is only one Reina and it’s not her.

Estefi asks the doctor what she has to do get out of here. He says that she has to tell him all about her relationship with Big O. Navier is watching on his phone. Apparently there is a camera behind the painting on the wall. The doctor hits Estefi and is going to do again when Navier calls him and tells him not to do that again. Navier asks Esmeeth if she knows Big O’s secrets. Nearly all, she replies.

We see Big 2O painting. He says this woman is the most beautiful in the world. We see the canvas – it’s Emseeth. The doc comes in. Still painting that woman? he says. Big 2O says that she is his muse and inspiration. Has Big 2O considered that she might be dead? No, says Big 2O, my Sara isn’t dead. Doc says Estefi killed a nurse and might kill him. That wouldn’t be a bad thing replies Big 2O.

There's still another part or two to finish up. Sorry for the big mess.

Jean, please don't be sorry. We are all at the mercy of NoTeEscucho-Telemundo. It's their fault, not yours. You are going above and beyond what we would normally be expecting. But, we await with baited breath.

I, for one, am happy to see Big 2O back. I liked him. It wasn't really a surprise since he was in the karaoke video with the beard and clearly that was filmed well after the death of Big O's character.

I didn't know in what capacity he would be back, of course. So the real Big O is a nice guy who likes to paint and listen to music and his life was stolen by a look-alike named Geronimo. Of course there are more details that we need to know. When did this happen? It seems since Big 2O has been painting Esmeeth's portrait for all these years, including her change in hairstyles, that he met her or did he just see her picture? If he has been shut up in the alyssum for 50 years, as I though he said, he can't be Navier's father.

Jean, You're SORRY? Are you kidding? What you have is WONDERFUL? I'm with Anita -- I can't wait to read the rest of it!

Hey, did you notice that they're calling the little chunker "Agatha" now?

Anita, Spendid Wisdom! My fave (among so many!): "A Dragon should study genetics in his spare time"

Maggie,

Telemundo did a little cutting earlier, but had been showing full episodes for quite a while until just last Monday.

We also think that the filming itself ended earlier than planned, so even when we have all the bits and pieces, there is still something lacking because the writers couldn't carry out the story as envisioned from day one.

So I guess Roman and Greta are safe. They went with an anonymous heart donor with the drama being Navier's daring flight to get it.

Miércoles – Parte Siete

?What do you want to know about Big O? asks Esmeeth asks Navier. She says that she will tell him everything. At the right time, say Navier. Reina comes in. She feels like she is going crazy. Her mother is a little better. She tells Navier that her mother told her that her dad was bad and would do anything for money. “Your mother knows a lot more than she is saying,” replies Navier, “I will find the right moment to talk to her later.”

Vic tells Izzy to find out about everything about Lopez, his women, especially Anastasia. He wants to know where his jewels and especially his diamonds are. Izzy doesn’t like Cobra. Vic tells him to focus on the diamonds.

Christián calls Alicia. She tells him to stop worrying about her. Christián says that Vic is powerful. He is dangerous. He tells her that his woman loves Izzy. She says he is stupid and chose badly. Connie likes it that Christián will do anything for his sister. She would do anything for Laz. In that way they are the same.

Dra Moto says that the baby is better. She is going to take her to her place. Laz asks if her ex who is not really her ex is going to be there. She says no. FELS is crazy because Estefi has disappeared and he is sure Navier had something to do with it. JJ is listening.

Navier gets a message from the doc that he won’t hit Estefi again. He was angry because she killed a nurse. Nav prays. He says that he has never dared to ask anything from God. He knows what he has done. He knows that he shouldn’t take justice into his own hands. He will pay the consequences. He did what he had to. He only he wants that that his daughter does not suffer because of what he has done.

Clara codes on the operating table. Reina gets a terrible pain in her heart. She knows something bad is happening to her daughter. Navier tells her to look at him, be calm, breathe. Everything will be all right. He holds her.

Cobra makes a date to meet Connie. She snoops around Vic’s office and finds the frig with the Injecto-Death 3000 poison. Vic comes in. He asks what she wants to know about the exploits of the Black Falcon. She rattles off some of his heists but says that she won’t tell Christián. She only wants the red diamonds and then she will be gone. Vic asks if she knows the diamonds are cursed. She says that he will be cursed if he doesn’t give them to her.

Estefi has more visions. She sees someone open the door and shoot her. She curses Reina and Navier. She calls for Greta.

Miércoles – Parte ocho

Dra Moto and Laz bring Agatha home. Laz fusses about the air conditioning. She says that if he doesn’t have confidence in her, he can take the baby elsewhere. Laz asks what is wrong. Moto has been knocked off her perch by FELS. She doesn’t know what to do.

Big 2O flashes back to a conversation with Big O to fill us on the back story. He has come to drop off B2O’s favorite food. He shouldn’t complain about his life in the asylum B2O says that this isn’t life. Big O says that he had 5 operations to end up looking exactly like Big 2O. Apparently Big O was the illegitimate child of a maid. He switched lives with Big 2O after and accident. Big O’s father never treated him well unlike his only child – Big 2O. End of flashback.

Dr Mala Suerte says that it was a difficult operation but they finally succeeded in giving Clara a new heart. Navier thanks him. Dr MS says that they have to hope her body doesn’t reject the heart but he hopes the worst is over.

Izzy tells Victor that Clara received a heart transplant. Izzy asks if Vic is resigned to losing Reina. Vic says the retired from the game temporarily but when he goes back it will be for good.

Dr Mala Suerte asks Esmeeth to have a bite with him at the hospital cafeteria.

Reina and Navier have gone home. Nav has a shower. Reina wants to go back to the hospital to be there when Clara wakes up. She says that Navier doesn’t need to go with her. He has done so much already – getting the heart, etc. He should stay and rest. Nav gets a call from Juanjo saying that he doesn’t know why but Susana is running around telling people, including the police, that Estefi’s letter isn’t genuine. There is a knock at the door. Navier gets his gun. It’s FELS. He says that he has come to hsbr Navier to tell him once and for all what happened to Estefi and he won’t leave until he knows. Reina asks why FELS thinks Navier did it. FELS replies that Esmeeth told Navier that Estefi was responsible for kidnapping Clara.
Cara de impactada de Reina who didn't know this.

Parts of the karaoke must have been filmed around the time of these episodes, because it also has La Cobra in it, too.

Jean --- THANK YOU for the threecap! Another labor of devotion and dedication.

I wonder who Big20 really is, in terms of who is Geronimo???
At first, I thought he might also be Reina’s father, but that would bring up the incest thing, so that won’t do.
It will be interesting to learn the whole story on Reina’s dad, if Telemundo actually does not cut that, too. (A pox on you, Telemundo! Hiiiissssssssssssssssssss!!!)

Is there a woman in Las Vegas with whom Victor has NOT had sex? The guy gets around.

Jean, thank you, thank you, thank you for filling in the cut parts. We REALLY appreciate your efforts.

Wow, big surprise about the half brother!

They surely did make it seem like Estefi was going to escape about four times last night. Of course, her threats to make Navier suffer are probably foreshadowing.

I'm not enjoying the Cobra story that much. Does anyone know who has the 4th red diamond? At this point I'm googling Beanie Body Suits.

Wow, I'm ashamed to admit I ever liked FELS. Do we know if Estefi ever really had the 100+ names of CIA agents, or if she made that threat because FELS told her to? He seems pretty darned serious about outing agents to get back his Twisted Sister. I sincerely hope Esmeeth never falls back into bed with him.

They SHOULD have shown us that Susana thinks Agatha looks exactly like Greta as a baby. That's crucial!

I find it interesting that although Laz does not know that baby is his, he is definitely hearing la llamada de la sangre.

Thanks Novelera, I just wish I had had more time to do some editing of the thing and maybe even add some snark. The fourth red diamond is in the possession of FELS or the CIA. It was found in the underwear of Anastasia, López's girlfriend who was found dead.

Yes, indeed, Doris, Laz is feeling the llamada of the sangre for Agatha. The llamada hasn't played too much of a part in this novela. Navier didn't feel it much for Clarita and Estefi didn't feel it for Greta and Navier certainly didn't feel it for Esmeeth.

GREAT recap Jean!

so while Cristian was boinking Victor's daughter, Vic was boinking Cristian's sister, no wait, must have been another time because Victor was busy boinking Cristian's wife.

and Asuncion in her dying bed still can't spit it out, this must be important.

after Cristian declared his forever faithfulness, did Connie have a look like, darn, how am I ever going to find a reason to get rid of this guy.

Estefi in a wheelchair at the manicomio, isn't that how ¿Dónde está Elisa? ended.

Jean, thank you again. You make it absolutely impossible to miss a single word of your recap. If we do, we miss important information. It's complicated enough without the cuts. How dare they!!*&^%%##@! fool with the most perfectly weird, fascinating telenovela to come along in ages.

Novelera--I was also blind to Mr. Tall Dark and Mysterious's, his charms and how he seduced and enamored our dear Smeeth. Now I see he's just an out of control child having a tantrum and being a mean teenager to boot! Phhhttt (that's supposed to be a Bronx Cheer). I'm DONE with him.

I think it's interesting that FELS excused his decisions vis a vis Javier (separating him from Reina and making him marry Stefi) because he didn't want him getting romantically involved and losing his sense of "Mission Above Everything." Then, he turned around and did exactly the same thing with Smeeth and then back to Moto. Maybe it was all just sex and conquest to him, but he certainly enjoyed Smeeth's wine, short couch, kisses and above all, her aroma.

Anita - my Brooklyn born and raised mother called it "raspberries". LOL

Jean, the final parts are as exquisitely written as the earlier ones. If this is what "really rough" looks like, I can't Imagine what polished might be. :) Thanks so much for doing this!

Poor Big O. I'm thinking he should be Big O-1 (pronounced like 'oy') since he is the original and Gerónimo is an inferior copy. I love the way he looks with the beard and glasses. He reminds me of the New York abstract expressionists of the 50's and 60's (not so much the art -- that looks like a bunch of old publicity stills for a famous telenovela actress).

I thought he said '50 years' too, but that doesn't make sense on any level.

So are they going to force us to like Christian Palacios now -- or at least to stop disliking him?

It was funny when Alicia looked inside the space in the wall of safe deposit boxes and saw the crown; then she slid out the narrow closed box from the space, opened it and removed the three big diamonds AND the crown from the box!

I'm glad they solved the heart transplant problem with an anonymous donor rather than going with one of our grisly solutions. :D

So the psych place really is in Florida! They really stink at controlling dangerous patients. How many nurses does the new girl have to kill before they figure out how to control her?

And just for the record: I NEVER liked FELS!

I am agape. You recappers for this show are more amazing than El Dragon. His general awesomeness pales in comparison to yours. I have no idea how you can put out these wonderful, detailed, funny beautifully-written recaps, adding in the missing parts and even putting them in different fonts so we can spot them.

But I have steam coming out of my ears. When I see what they chopped out….grrrrr. For instance, I had no idea FELS had gotten all kissy-kissy with Dr. Mota. Um, that’s a VERY important plot point, Telemundo. And tons of other stuff. I wish we’d seen Navier flying that plane. The way they showed it here, he just walked out of the hospital, and came back with a heart, kinda like going around the corner to the drugstore.

Etc. And more etc.’s. I feel sorry for the writers and actors who made this show. They must know about the chopping.

And besides, why cut it? When this one ends, everybody tunes into a different one. It’s like a big telenovela river and we all float along it. So why cut the end and piss everybody off? There’s no rush – it’s not like Telemundo is going to have to make space in their schedule for the Olympics or some such.

Maggie--LOL - going to CVS for a replacement heart.

I'd never pictured the Spanish language channels as a big telenovela river. But you are quite right, one follows the other in an endless flow, day in, day out, year in, year out, decade in, decade out. There must be a whole pile of silt at the mouth of these particular rivers.

NM--I noticed the crown in the box, too. Remember when we all guffawed when Reina took HER Red Diamonds out of the safety deposit box and it had no drawer in it? Just the diamonds. I guess Telemundo decided to correct the error, but just made it worse.

Or was it fake Reina who took them out. I'm too tired of Company Hi-Jinx to go back and search.

Jean, your recap was awesome! I don't know how you do it, but I'm thankful that you do.

I'm so confused about what's happening that I won't comment. The only thing I want to say is to quote Maggie's marvellous line: "You recappers for this show are more amazing than El Dragon." Amen.

Maggie: They didn't actually show Navier flying the plane. They showed the exterior of a plane in clouds with lightning and they showed the instrument panel of a plane in turbulence with big analog dials - very old fashioned. I'm sure the jet they showed the exterior of has an all digital instrument panel. We heard Navier talking to air traffic control.

But you did get the impression of a dangerous journey unlike what was broadcast.

deb wrote: so while Cristian was boinking Victor's daughter, Vic was boinking Cristian's sister, no wait, must have been another time because Victor was busy boinking Cristian's wife.

I could write recaps all day and never distill these little gems like you do. Sort of a circle boink with Christián's and Victor's families. Christián would have boinked Vic's other wife, Reina, too, if she'd let him. Christián seems to have drawn the line at Greta, though.

LOL on Asunción's inability to communicate and Connie's expression.

I agree with Jean, Deb. Loved your comment!

Did Cristian draw the line at Greta or was it her being in the boarding school in England that kept him at bay?

Me three about deb's comment!

Actually, Christian did draw the line about Greta. She said she tried to seduce him when she came back to Las Vegas. It was a test: she was going to KILL him if he took the bait.

She also confessed that on the night of her fall at the aerial circus, she was planning to murder the Putz. She saw her accident as punishment.

(Did we ever discuss this or was this stuff that got cut and overlooked? I can't remember.)

Anita – loved your brainwave about the silt!

And Jean, thank you for describing the flying scene. It sounds like a hoot. From what I gather, it was an actual plane, yes? At least it wasn’t a toy one on a string like the 50s UFO movies, though that would have been cool too.

I forget to mention that I love the name” Big 20” …..

I'm pretty sure it was a cut scene but one that I posted a recap of it and we had some discussion about it especially about the revelations of Greta's criminal intentions and what it might mean for her fate.

Maggie: From what I recall, it was an actual plane but I'm not sure it wasn't a still picture of a plane added to video of clouds and digital lightning. It was better than a toy plane on a string but not something that represented a big prop investment by Telemundo.

Hi everyone! I have only added the cut scenes from Episode 107. I was not able to watch the other two episodes online.

Recap will be posted soon.

Jueves Part 1

Madrid, Spain – Casa De Reina
“Is it true?” “You knew Estefania organized everything and didn’t tell me?” Reina asks Navier. “I didn’t know anything” replies Navier. “Where would I have gotten that information?” he asks. “Obviously from Esmeeth” replies FELS-PELS-GELS. “Who on this occasion your dear mother didn’t want to protect you and told you the truth that Estefania told her to her face that she was responsible” FELS-PELS-GELS says. “I can’t believe this” Reina says. “Esmeeth didn’t tell me anything and I have nothing to do with what could happened to Estefania” Navier says. “And I don’t believe you” FELS-PELS-GELS tells Navier.

Casa De Rosas – Kitchen
Cobra is on the phone. She gives the ok to let someone in. She hangs up and calls for Izzy. Izzy shows up and asks her what she wants. “Do you know if the Sr. is going out?” she asks him. “Not at this moment” he replies. Cobra flirts with Izzy and calls him attractive. He asks her what she wants from him. She replies that she thought they could have a little fun together. He tells her he has who to have fun with already. “Don’t you like me?” she asks him. She lays a cobra smooch on him. Victor catches them smooching. But he’s the only one – Connie also sees the smooch from behind.

LVPD – TWCILV’s Office
Susana asks Christian for help in finding Estefania. She tells him she has a bad feeling. “She left me a letter but I have my doubts” she tells him. She tells him that he knows Estefania is not the kind of person who would run away. “Perhaps she had her reasons” he tells her. “What reasons?” she asks him. “Do you know anything?” she asks him. Christian replies that Estefania is a woman who keeps many secrets. “Secrets she wouldn’t have told even her best friend” he tells her. “Then Estefania could be dead?” she asks him. “Anything is possible” he replies. He advises Susana to stay away from Estefania because nothing having to do with Estefania can be good for her.

Manicomio – The Real Big O’s Room
The Real Big O is surrounded by the paintings of Esmeeth. He takes a photo out of a box. “Maybe I’ll never have you in front of me...maybe I’ll never look into your eyes and say thanks…your smile illuminated my days and those blue eyes were all I needed to keep living…you were my arrebato de amor [crush]…my trobellino [whirlwind]…my oasis in the middle of the dessert….you were a little bit of breath in the middle of all this madness. He kisses the photo.

Casa De Rosas – Kitchen
Izzy tries to explain himself by telling Victor the cobra smooch isn’t what it seems. “I know it can lead to a misunderstanding…” he tells Victor. “I’d say it was a ridiculous and extravagant situation” Victor says. “Things that happen” Victor says. “Isn’t that right, Leiva?” Victor asks Connie who has been watching and eavesdropping from behind. Izzy realizes Connie is there. Victor tells Izzy to take his time and explain it to Connie with all the details. Victor and Cobra leave the room. Izzy wants to explain it all to Connie. But first he asks her what she’s doing there. She replies she came to see her sister-in-law but eveidently she came at the wrong moment. Connie tries to leave but Izzy grabs her by the arm. She tells him she has no right to be like this because he is with another woman. Connie leaves.

Jueves Part 2

Forensics
Dra. Moto tells Laz they’ll have to hire a babysitter for Agatha who can’t be coming to work with them all the time. Laz doesn’t like the idea – he has this image of babysitters being deadly which he got from movies. He wants Dra. Moto to move some strings with the boss or her current boyfriend. He does not want to leave Agatha alone. He tells Dra. Moto that whenever he is with the baby and looks at her he stops missing Greta. Laz doesn’t know what would have happened if it weren’t for Agatha and Dra. Moto. Dra. Moto hugs Laz just as Christian walks into the room. He hopes he is not interrupting but he had to inform them personally that a couple showed up who is interested in adopting Agatha. They will have to give up Agatha at any moment.

Casa De Rosas – Study
Victor and Cobra enter the study and are laughing their heads off. Cobra set the whole thing up so Connie could catch her kissing Izzy. “You’re so mean” Victor tells her sarcastically. He tells her he loves these kinds of things. He tells her he enjoyed seeing the look on Connie’s face. Cobra doesn’t think Connie deserves her brother. She thinks her brother deserves better. Victor tells Cobra that Christian is in love with Connie and doesn’t think he’d get a divorce. Victor asks Cobra what she plans on doing. Does she plan on killing her sister-in-law?

Manicomio – The Real Big O’s Room
Doc enters the room of the real Big O who is busy painting a new Esmeeth portrait I guess. He has brought him some company – Estefania. Estefania enters the room and looks around at all the paintings of Esmeeth.

Madrid, Spain – Casa De Reina
FELS-PELS-GELS tells Reina and Navier that Estefania disappeared without leaving any clues only a letter directed to Susana. “What did the letter say?” Reina asks. “Nothing much…only that she needed to get away and needed some time to get over what happened with her daughter” FELS-PELS-GELS replies. “Why do you suspect Navier then?” Reina asks. Because FELS-PELS-GELS doubts in the coincidence that Navier was in Las Vegas at the time of Estefania’s disappearance. Navier tells FELS-PELS-GELS that he was in Las Vegas to sign some business papers. He didn’t see Estefania – he went to look for Estefania at her house but she wasn’t there. He waited for her but she never arrived. FELS-PELS-GELS doesn’t believe Navier and knows Navier was involved in Estefania’s disappearance. FELS-PELS-GELS tells Navier to forget about his life with Reina and Clara if Estefania doesn’t turn up and threatens Navier with sending him to hell. Reina stands up to the tall man and asks him where he will send her. What if it was she who had Estefania killed? What if she decided to end with Estefania’s life because she had her daughter kidnapped and almost killed? What will he do with her? Will he send her to hell too? Reina tells FELS-PELS-GELS that she hates Estefania more than anyone and that no one wants to see Estefania dead more than her. FELS-PELS-GELS doesn’t believe Reina has the profile to do such a thing but he does believe Navier is capable of doing anything. Navier accepts he is capable of doing anything. He tells FELS-PELS-GELS that he and Reina didn’t do anything. FELS-PELS-GELS tells Navier to watch out because he’ll keep an eye on him and when he makes a false move he’ll caer encima. Navier tells him to do what he wants. FELS-PELS-GELS tells Navier they’ll see each other again and leaves. Reina tells Navier that FELS-PELS-GELS scares her. He tells her that while he is with her no one will scare her.

The Real Big O puts the envelope back where he got it from. He is confused and doesn’t know what to do. He looks at a portrait of Esmeeth and tells her that he always hoped she’d be a great woman and that the evidence would save her son from death. The Real Big O admits to Estefy that throughout the years he has received female visitors who Jeronimo sent him but she has driven him wild of desire and passion and there has been no one like her. Estefy holds up the portrait of Esmeeth and asks if she beats her. He tells her that the thing with Esmeeth is different. It’s a forbidden love that is in his imagination. It is a pure love. She tells him she’s not pure and is a diabla. She tells him that she’s the most impure, perverse, sexual, the biggest sinner, and the sickest. A story of deceit, lies, betrayals, lost identities, disagreements, a lot of hidden things under the carpet. She adds hatred to the list upon spotting FELS-PELS-GELS outside. I suppose Empeatriz has spilled the beans. “His real family stayed there?” Navier asks her. Empeatriz tells him that her brother’s family was murdered and it was a tragedy and massacre. She tells him that her brother survived along with a sister who she has never met. She tells him that she doesn’t know if he’ll ever understand her. This has never happened to her before. She has just met him and she feels so close to him. She tells him that he is different from the rest. She doesn’t want for their conversation to stay there. Navier calls him out on having no compassion. “Not even your sister Reina’s pleas move you?” Navier asks him. “What about your niece Clara’s health?” he asks him. Navier tells him that it isn’t right for Estefy to be his favorite sister. Reina can’t believe this. The tall man can’t be her bro. The tall man accepts he is her bro. He wasn’t going to deny it because he knows someone like the Dragon wouldn’t make a statement like this one without having any proof. Dragon does have proof and is sure that if he keeps on looking he’ll find more. Reina is still in disbelief. “That’s me” says the tall man. He is boy who was abandoned by his mother and put in the arms of his father. He had a few years of happiness with his father’s family until some men took it all from him. They took his youth, innocence, and childhood. He had to survive hidden in a closet seeing as how they destroyed his family. He lived an unimaginable horror that he’d never imagined. Navier won’t report the tall man. He wants to negotiate. Navier tells the tall man that a solution to this would be for the tall man to kill him. Would the tall man kill him and his sister? Jean, what can I add that hasn't already been said about your recap? Thank you. You are the bomb!

Penny

Mauricio, ditto!

Penny

Wow! thanks Mauricio. I am on a trip and couldn't watch the broadcast or watch the episodes online. The hotel wifi won't let you watch videos. Argh. I feel the pain of those who are trying to follow without being able to watch.

So Cobra wants Victor to give her a baby?

Susana followed Juanjo from LasVegas to Miami?

Navier and everyone else has finally found out that FELS is Estefi's brother?

Mauricio - Thank you for the threecap and your snark! Don't worry about not having time to watch all three uncut episodes; not many of us do. As long as you've got them on your Reinamaniacs blog page, we can squeeze them in whenever possible.

" She tells him that she’ll please him until he tells her that he accepts to escape with her. "
This line threw me for a loop, last night, because what man would tell her "he accepts" when he'll get nookie UNTIL he says that? Seems like he would want to continue being "convinced" and take forever to accept.

As for the rest of Telemundo's tijeracide© on this telenovela, oy vey!

I have added Ep 107, 108, and 109 to the blog.

Jean and Mauricio- Thank you for going above and WAY beyond to give us the complete picture of what the heck is happening in this show.

The best thing that happened last night was the truth about Greg Jr. being revealed. I couldn't believe that to her face he basically acknowledged that Reina's and Clara's lives mean bupkiss to him. While he was speaking about his childhood trauma which he seems to feel gives him and his twisted sister free reign to do whatever they want, I kept think about the scrappy childhoods and traumas Nav, Reina, and now Clara have gone through. But Greg is just like his big sis. It's all me, me, me. Other people's pain isn't important.

Worst part of the episode-- Original recipe Big O falling for Stefi's...charms.

Crappy, not scrappy.

Vivi - I love "Original recipe big O". LOL

Mauricio,

Thanks for the superb recap, including the extra episodio.

I guess Izzy is never going to be redeemed. The look of glee on his face when he slugged the tied-up guy with a baseball bat is more than I'm willing to forgive this late in the novela. I had thought that Connie was changing him, but....

Izzy's not the only one I'm disappointed in. I've just about had it with El Dragon. I find insufferable his continually telling Reina not to worry her pretty little head about things and just trust him. Sorry, even his gorgeous bod no longer works for me. Yes, Telemundo's cuts probably make all this even more extreme, but I suspect I'd feel this way even if we had been allowed to see the unmangled telenovela.

Juanita- Nav's attitude with Reina really bugged me last night too, and not just because it comes off as patronizing, but also because he doesn't afford her the same level of trust. How many times has he doubted her? How many times has she begged him to trust her, and he's replied that he trust no one?

Mauricio, thank you so much for your wonderful recap!

Here are some things that were deleted from capítulos 108 and 109 on Thursday, Nov. 7. I've combined things and played around with the order:

Esmeeth and FELS:
He says it didn't take her long to replace him. He saw her with that "doctorcito." He gets a call and Esmeeth sees it's from Moto. She calls him a filthy traitor. It didn't take him long to replace her with his ex, she guesses. He admits he has been with Moto, but only Esmeeth can drive him crazy. The two jump into each other's arms and have one more session of passion on the long red couch.

Susana and Juanjo:
Exchanging "encoded" text messages, Navier lets Juanjo know he has to fly to Miami ASAP. It will have to wait until morning because of problems with the plane. Susana challenges Juanjo's story about "business obligations." She admits she read an earlier text from "un tal NN." He's going to a tomb? Whose? He makes up a tall tale. The following morning, he sneaks out of the house. Susana follows him.

We see Juanjo drive up to the clinic (which looks like the same place they used in La Casa de al Lado) followed by Susana's yellow cab.

When Susana confronts him in the evil shrink's office, Juanjo tells her his poor sister Rosalinda, the 5th of the 13 kids in his family, is locked up here. They had no choice: when she got to Miami, she went to a fast food restaurant, stripped naked as she chomped down fries and bacon burgers and screamed for ketchup. Susana is very sympathetic. She'd like to visit her. Juanjo says his sister is too violent to have visitors.

Connie and Christian:
Connie has nightmares about the Cobra's death threat. Christian suspects the nightmares have to do with his sister. Connie sticks to him like glue, following him to his office. Finally, she breaks down and tells him about his sister's threat. Christian says he'll talk to his little sister.

Additions from 108 and 109, continued:

Moto and Laz:
Laz can't sleep. He is saddened by the thought that this is his last night with Agatha. Moto's sleep is disturbed by thoughts of FELS. Then she dreams of her and Laz dressed as bride and groom. He carries her over the threshold of the morgue. The body of FELS is lying on a slab. He is still wearing one of his ill-fitting suits. Dream Moto says they should really do an autopsy. "Later," says dream Laz.

Fully awake Moto thinks maybe it is time for a new phase in her life: she asks Laz to marry her so they can adopt Agatha. After some thought, he agrees. They set out rules: he sleeps on the couch and she gets the bed; they arrange a childcare schedule (no nanny); shared expenses; they can each have sex with other people (though not with each other) as long as it doesn't happen in the house; no shared social life -- they don't go to parties, weddings, etc. together. (But they can go to funerals together. Moto likes funerals.) They bring Agatha to Christian's office. They tell him they are ready to fill out the adoption papers -- they are getting married.

Victor continues reading the list of 179 agents. He lingers over Moto's name and past. She has had many identities all over the world. In one operation in Italy, she was married.

There are several scenes of him and the Cobra doing their little crazy dance of near-death and sex and diamonds before Cobra asks him to help her make a baby.

Victor calls Reina and tells her he knows that Navier is a secret agent. She knows what that means -- she can never have a real life with him. Navier is a lot like Victor -- he knows how to make people disappear, he's capable of killing. But the difference is that Victor is free and Navier never will be. No, says Reina. The difference is that it is Victor whom she despises, not Navier.

Reina tells Esmeeth -- and later Navier -- that Victor knows Navier is an agent. Esmeeth vows that if any harm comes to Navier because of Victor, she'll kill him herself. Reina says she's no killer, but she would kill to protect Navier and Clara. What she desperately hopes is that Estefanía never comes back.

What Asunción desperately hopes is to see her son's face before she dies. Esmeeth may be able to help her. Navier says her son may be closer than she thinks.

Reina's jealous rant over Emperatriz is shortened.

Estefi gets a couple of those dreadful Telemundo neck injections that I would have preferred seeing to her largely uncut scenes with Original Recipe Big O (thanks Vivi!).

oops. I meant to say from Thursday, November 6 (not Nov. 7). Lo siento.

Thank you thank you thank you, Maurice and NovelaMaven. Recaps are a lot of work, but here you wonderful recappers have to watch several episodes to fill us in. I can’t even imagine how many hours all this is taking you.

I’m astonished at how much important stuff was cut out.

Navier was lying like a rug to his Big Love – not admirable in a dragon.

Thanks so much for the cut scenes, NovelaMaven.

I have better wifi in my meeting and on my breaks I sneak out and watch a little.

Mauricio, thanks so much for the terrific recap. And thanks to you NovelaMaven for filling in the blanks. And they certainly were big, gaping blanks.

I was SO disappointed that the potentially good Original Recipe Big O (ditto on the thanks to Vivi) bought Estefanía's tale seemingly hook, line, and sinker. But there may be a ray of hope about that, if what I thought is true. Didn't ORBO thought bubble that the envelope from Fake Big O contained evidence to put Victor and AN EVIL WOMAN in jail. Did he read it? It must be Estefy.

Well, apparently even in the cut parts of the novela, they haven't shown FELS actually giving Estefy that list of agents as a talisman against winding up in the slammer.

It does seem like Paola Núñez is being given little to do besides wringing her hands. I miss her feisty persona.

novelera - ORBO (original recipe Big O) could not possibly have read the evidence in the envelope. That would go against telenovela reason, logic and rules. Could it be the same evidence that Greta left with Abuela? Abuela gave it to someone . . .

As for poor Paola's role at this point, well, all I can say is that at least 1.) she is not crying all the time, like they do in Telerisaland, and 2.) we don't have Adela Noriega wringing her hands and touching her forehead (or is it her face).

novelera-

I too miss the feisty agent Reina,
the woman behind the Dragon,
who suffocates the people he loves,
in order to keep them safe.

thanks so much Mauricio for your wonderful recap!

Doris - Why couldn't Original Big O have read the evidence that false Big O left there? How does that violate all telenovela laws? Do you mean that no one ever reads information entrusted to them? It wouldn't mean that much to him since he's never met Vic.

I don't think that it could be same evidence that Greta gave to the false nun (Pilar). She told López 2.0 said that she gave that evidence to the "Organization."

Jean - I am basing my theory on other telenovela conventions, such people rarely calling 911 when someone needs an ambulance and loading them into a taxi, or waiting 5 or 10 minutes before calling 911, etc. I am willing to bet ORBO never looked at the stuff inside. But remember, my predictions never are correct. LOL

I think that when you edit out the whimsy and the obvious tongue-in-cheek plot lines of the second tier characters, you make the viewer forget that it's ALL tongue-in-cheek.

Navier's dialogue has always sounded like it came from the inside of a fortune cookie. Estefanía has always been a sociopathic seductress who believes her own lies. FELS has always been a creep in an ill-fitting off-the-rack suit. Victor has always been a con man as slippery as his silk pajamas.

It's just that we need the ensemble and the banter, the highs and lows, the fabulous funny transitions -- all of it -- to enjoy the central plot.

You can't perform a Charm-ectomy on a show and expect it to survive the operation. Bah.

Well said, NovelaMaven. You have a way with words. LOL We also need beanie suits to match our hats. ;-)

Thanks, Doris! But no one brings the Snap, Crackle and Pop like you do!

[Hey, I thought we WERE all using our full-body beanies for these últimos capítulos. I know I've got mine ready to go for tonight.]

Mauricio - Mil gracias. Before it's too late to thank you for such a long, detailed recap of last night's capers. I just can't get enough of this tn.

P.S. Don't know why, but I can run the videos on your blog now. It's so wonderfully sharp and clear---AND---it's all there, down to FELS-PELS-GELS' sneer.

Why oh why did Emperatriz have to enter the picture in these last few hours. It was enough to have Lt. Rentería make an appearance. She's a piece of work, no? She just made the Body Count go up by one, just because.

Yiikes! The Body Count sure climbed higher tonight.

Need to know if "Marciano," mentioned by Cobra to Victor and whom Cobra claimed to have offed

is the same as--

"Osvaldo Pitra," the guy Izzy accused Cobra of killing when being interrogated by Cristian?

We only saw one being killed when Cobra and Izzy were trying to get information on the Red Diamonds.

Anita,
Yes, they said "the Martian" was the guy's apodo.

Sorry folks. I'm not going to be able to get to this anytime soon. Can someone fill in?
