Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #94 12/29/14 Reports of Chava's Death are Greatly Exaggerated
From Friday:
Greta rejects the tea that Fausto brings. Greta says their relationship will never be the same because Fausto has lost her trust. She tells him to leave the tea and get out.
The lead in the Panamericana race keeps changing. Chava is in front, then behind, then in front again. The other car goes off the road and crashes into a tree. Chava pulls over and stops. He and Martinez jump out and race back to the crash site and pull the other team from the smoking wreck. While they are assessing the other drivers' injuries, Chava's car explodes.
New:
The injured driver has several broken bones. He thanks Chava for stopping to save them. Martinez asks Chava what could have caused their car to explode. Chava thinks there must have been a gas leak. They are both glad that they got out in time.
News about the accident and explosion has reached the hotel. Pato thought bubbles that this is the end of Cruz. Sofia asks which team was involved in the accident. The woman doesn't know who it was. Sofia worries.
At Isadora's apartment, Morgana secretly calls Peralta to update him on Isadora's activities. She tells him that Oliver brought Dani over to visit. She thinks Dani and Oliver make a nice couple. Morgana complains about Isadora getting drunk with that miserable mariachi singer but agrees to help Isadora keep on seeing him.

Okay. Okay. I won't kill that damn mariachi.

Dani and Oliver perform a duet. Oliver tells her that he and Lucas used to want to start a band.
Someone tells Sofia that the car that exploded was driven by Salvador Cruz. Sofia's legs give way and Pato helps her to a couch. She screams, "Salvador! Not Salvador! It can't be! Salvador can't die!" Pato tries to comfort her, but Sofia goes into a full meltdown.

Miguelina is going out and wonders if she can trust Lucas and Marisol alone. Turns out she can't. Miguelina is barely out the door when Marisol jumps on Lucas like Oprah on a cheesecake. Lucas tries to cool things down, but Marisol tells him that he's the first man in her life. Besides, they're in love, aren't they? Lucas gives in to Marisol's hot kisses until his phone rings. In an instant Marisol goes from hot caramel candy to cold dead fish. Oliver invites Lucas and Marisol to meet him and Dani for dinner. Marisol doesn't want to go but Lucas accepts anyway.

Pato tells Sofia to accept the inevitable. Cruz is dead. Crap happens. Sofia is inconsolable until someone tells her that Salvador Cruz isn't dead. He's been taken to the Red Cross.
Cristian tells Silvana how Greta Ripoll abuses the help, especially poor Fausto. Silvana is certain that if Greta hadn't interfered their mother would have married Octavio. Silvana and Cristian would have inherited the Ripoll factory and fortune. But, no matter. They've found their way into the Ripoll's inner circle. Now Cristian just has to suck up to Greta and keep his job. Cristian has been thinking of ways to kill Greta. He'd really just like to choke her. They plot ways to kill Greta without incriminating themselves. There's always slow acting poison...
Dani and Oliver wait at the Hound Dog café for Lucas and Marisol. While they wait, Oliver asks if Dani still has feelings for Lucas and if she is jealous of Marisol. Dani claims she isn't. Lucas and Marisol arrive. Marisol doesn't look happy. Dani has a great idea for Lucas and Oliver. Why don't they start a band?
Sofia runs into the hospital and asks about the driver in Panamericana race. The nurse asks if Sofia is family. She answers, "Yes" and the nurse directs her to the ward. Sofia runs to see Chava.
Pato calls Renzi and asks, "Why isn't Cruz dead?"
Renzi is surprised by the question, "The car exploded. He's probably dying."
Pato warns him, "You better hope he's dying!"

Lupe, Paco and the neighbors watch the news about the race. Lupe collapses onto Paco's arms when she hears that Chava's car exploded.

Sofia is directed the bed of the injured driver who, of course, is not Chava. She goes back and asks about Salvador Cruz. The nurse takes her to Chava who is uninjured. In fact, his hair isn't even mussed up!

His socks don't match and he probably has holes in his undies too.

Marisol bitches at Dani for trying to steal her man. Blah, blah, blah. FF ------->>
The 'hood hears from the TV news that Chava and Martinez escaped the explosion and fire and were not injured. Lupe' gives a prayer of thanks to the Virgincita.
Chava tells Sofia about stopping his car to rescue the team after the crash. The fact that he and Martinez weren't in the car when it exploded was a miracle.
Back at Lupe's, everyone agrees that it was Chava's big heart and noble character that made him stop and help the other team and ultimately saved his own life. Chava is a hero! Araceli gets all teary-eyed. Now they can all understand why she loves Chava!

In the restaurant, Marisol sees the news report about the race. She stands up and cries, "My brother!" then runs out the door. Dani and Oliver tell Lucas to go with her. Dani tries to call Sofia.
Chava is sure that he'll be fired. He not only lost the race, but Landa's car is destroyed. Sofia is sure that Chava will get more opportunities to drive. Chava asks if he'll get another opportunity with Sofia. Just then Lupe' calls to check on Chava and Sofia leaves.
Fausto bursts into Alexa's room with the news that Salvador's car exploded during the race.
Pato asks Sofia, "How's Cruz?" He is miffed when Sofia tells him that Chava escaped without a scratch because he had stopped to help the other team. Sofia is sure there will be an investigation to discover the cause of the explosion. She tells Pato she's tired and wants to go home.

Marisol rushes into Lupe's house in a panic. Lupe' tells her that Chava is okay. Armie reminds all of them that every driver risks dying in every race, but they forget about the risk until there is an accident that reminds them.
Back at the Ripoll house, Dani and Oliver run in to tell Fausto and Alexa about the explosion. Fausto has been trying to call Sofia but she doesn't answer her phone. Greta comes out of her studio and demands to know what all the commotion is about. Dani tells her that Salvador's car exploded during the Panamericana race. Greta shrugs. Crap happens.

Alexa is upset that Greta doesn't seem to care. Dani calls Sofia and learns that Salvador is okay. Greta grabs the phone away from Dani and accuses Sofia of using her trip to the race as an excuse to see Salvador. Sofia retorts that the trip was Pato's idea and she's not in the mood to discuss anything with Greta. Sofia hangs up. Greta has had it with these ungrateful girls! She storms upstairs. Greta's losing her touch. She missed her chance to feign "the big one" and send those ungrateful girls on a guilt trip.
Chava talks to Zimmerman, the driver that crashed, about the accident. Chava can't believe that both of his last races ended with car problems. Zimmerman says that Chava either has really bad luck or he has an enemy. Meanwhile, Martinez talks to Landa about the explosion. Martinez thinks there was a leak in the gas line. Landa says that no one noticed anything wrong in the inspection, but now that the car is totally burned it may be hard to find out what happened.
Alexa cries in her bedroom. Fausto comes in and Alexa confesses to him that she and Armie have been meeting in secret. They can't live without each other. Fausto would like to tell Alexa that she's brave and that secret meetings are romantic, but in this case Alexa needs to cool it. If Greta finds out she can cause Armie all kinds of trouble. He reminds Alexa that the company is paying Irma's medical bills.
Chava comes into the hotel lobby in his racing suit. I don't know why Chava is in his suit, he doesn't have a car so he isn't racing anymore. Everyone in the lobby applauds the Hero of the Day.

Dani and Oliver talks about starting a band. I hope they call it New Boyz N Sync on the Backstreet.
Sofia and Pato have coffee. He leaves the table when Renzi calls. Renzi claims that Cruz's race car was so burned up there will be no way anyone will find out it was sabotaged. Pato is more worried about the other problem - that Cruz will tell Sofia about Pato and Silvana. Renzi suggests that Pato blame the whole thing on Silvana. "Tell Sofia that Silvana seduced you."

Chava tells Landa that the gas level in the car was dropping. The explosion was probably caused by a leaking fuel line. Landa promises to find out exactly what happened. Chava apologizes for losing the race. Landa believes that there are more important things than fame and money. Chava did the right thing saving the other team. He's proud that Chava was driving for him! In fact, Landa wants Chava to drive for him in next year's race.
Dani comforts Alexa who is still upset by the fact that their mother is a bitter old witch who doesn't care about anyone but herself. Dani tells Alexa about the boy band. Lucas needs an electric guitar but he'll never let Dani buy it for him. Alexa tells her that Lucas needs to earn it himself. Dani gets another idea.
Chava and Armie commiserate about Chava's unhappy history with exploding race cars. They agree that it's all very strange. Chava will be flying back in the morning to see Sofia. In spite of everything she says, he is sure she's in love with him!
Everyone at Lupe's wants to have a "Congratulations! You're Still in One Piece!" party for Chava. Javier chooses just that moment to show up. He heard about Chava and he's worried. Paco needles him, "You're worried about Chava? After all these years?" Javier gets testy - not only does he worry, he even got a job and threw a few bucks in Lupe's direction! Araceli grabs Paco and tells him they should go. Paco agrees. He grabs Javier and gives him the bum's rush out the door in front of him. Marisol tells Lupe' that Paco is jealous of Javier.
Nandito asks Armie about Chava's race. Armie says he would have done the same thing that Chava did. There are more important things than winning, like life! Nandito asks what happens if an opponent gets hurt in Tae Kwon Do? Armie reminds him that there are rules to the matches. The competitors have to be careful or someone will end up in the hospital. Nandito remembers Irma and starts to cry. Armie assures Nandito that Irma will be okay. In the meantime, Nandito needs to be brave.
Back at the Ripoll house, Pato asks Sofia to dinner. She tries to beg off because she's tired, but Pato insists. He has a delicate matter that he has to discuss with her.
Sofia tells Alexa and Dani that she felt horrible when she thought that Salvador was dead. Alexa knows it's because Sofia still cares for him. Sofia still thinks Chava is a womanizing dirtbag. Dani refuses to believe that Salvador lied to Sofia. Fausto agrees. A man who would rescue someone else the way that Salvador did would never lie to a woman like that!

Silvana sorts through her jewelry. She tells Cristian that Pato will be back sometime tomorrow. There is a knock at the door. Silvana is sure it's Pato. Cristian has to hide so Pato won't find him there!
Dani tells Sofia that Alexa had a great idea. The factory should sponsor a karaoke contest with an electric guitar for the winner. FF ------>>
Pato bangs on the door. Silvana yells that she's coming while Cristian finds a place to hide. Pato demands to know what took so long. Was Silvana entertaining someone? She gives him a dirty look and says that she was in the bathroom getting ready to take a shower. Why is he back so soon from his trip with Sofia? Pato tells her about Chava's car exploding. Silvana asks if Salvador was hurt and if Pato had something to do with the explosion. Pato denies it, "Accidents happen in races." He starts kissing Silvana's neck. Cristian watches them through a crack in the window. Silvana asks, "What are we going to do now? What if he tells Sofia about us?"
Greta yells at Sofia about her trip to see Salvador's race. Sofia tells her that Pato insisted they go. Greta insists that Sofia fire Salvador. Sofia refuses and walks out of the room. Greta can't believe that Sofia is defying her.
Chava dreams about being in bed with Sofia. His phone rings and ruins his dream. It's Araceli. She wishes she could be with him. She wants to celebrate together and be in Chava's arms. He tells her, "Later" and hangs up.
Sofia is tired, she didn't really want to go to dinner and just wants Pato to get to the point. Pato looks at her seriously, "Cruz threatened me in the hotel lobby. He said unless I break up with you, he'd tell you that Silvana is my lover."
End of Episode.

Poor Silvana having to put up with psycho Patricio's "pit stop" and hide her psycho bro at the same time. But then again, maybe not because she is psycho, too.

Hi, Niecie! I always thought both Silvana and her brother were Ripolls. It's just in the beginning we didn't know about Christian; only Silvana.
The conversation Silvana and Christian had last night where they wax wistful about what could have been, that they could have been heirs with the Ripoll girls, served to prove to me the story intends to go that direction.
Silvana hasn't done anything unforgivable yet; neither Christian. And as posters have complained, their revenge is sure on the slow track.
If it continues that way, they may have time to find out they are Ripolls before they kill the golden goose. And find out a different, more acceptable story about how things went down.
Octavio did not love Greta at all; not in the least. He probably swindled her family's business á la Patricio to get it and her at a cheap price (marriage -- what does he care; a means to an end).
But I figure he was already involved with Silvana's mother before he married Greta. It's the parallel situation with Patricio, Silvana and Sofía.
Except Silvana's mother actually did bear her children; Octavio didn't abort them. I think also that, like Silvana, her mother was deeply in love with the children's father and would not fool around on him.
So, I think Silvana is older than Sofía. Their child would have kept Silvana’s mother even more bound to Octavio after he did the dastardly deed of marrying someone else. She probably needed financial support, as well.
No, I'm actually not watching much of this show after I FF through all the bits I'm not interested in, LOL. Probably like half an hour.
But I still need something to watch while I ride my exercise bike in the evenings. :D And in truth, I am very interested in a lot of the rest of the cast.
I FF through scenes with Marjorie; she is hopeless without Pedro. I realize how much chemistry he actually lent her. I don't blame David; he's in a bad situation.
I blame Mrs Pedro (his name's actually Martín Cuevas -- José Martín Cuevas Cobos). Could she not have waited until after the show was over to divorce him!? For pete's sake; how unprofessional of her. :D

I’ve been giving Paco a hard time with all his sighing and crying over Greta, but he was my hero last night. Paco giving Javier the bum’s rush out of Lupe’s casa was my favorite scene last night. Marisol, shut up.
Jarifa, yep, it seems we’re stuck with Alexa’s signature line. Even I noticed it last night.
Jeri, interesting theory on both Silvana and Christian being Ripolls. Silvana hasn’t killed anyone and seemed not down with Patricio trying to kill Chava, so there’s hope for her. Christian seems nice, if only Silvana would stop making him obsess over Greta. He just got out of rehab and needs fresh air and a positive outlook, not to be undercover with Greta and in hiding when Patricio shows up.

Maybe this is my jealousy speaking (wishful thinking), but has anyone else noticed Sofia is putting on some weight? Her face is fuller, her hips and tummy are filling out. She still looks good, but her "chubby" face has been throwing me off lately. Oh well, most women wish they could look.like her whether it be how she was before or a but chunkier.
