Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 on Hasta el Fin del Mundo
Olly has come over unannounced dressed up like he is something else in pink pants that show off his lovely boner crotch bulge to see Dani.
Sofi explains why she is looking for Lucas. Dani asks Sofia how she knows about mentioned fights thus revealing she knows too. Sofi is this close as she looks under the bed after Luc moves out of the way. Olly and Grrrrreta find their way into Dani's room and to Olly eventually explains that she needs him to help Lucas out of the Ripoff Mansion.
Chava gives Armie the skinny and Mati is filled in as well.
Olly is furious and asks for an explanation while Lucas asks why he is asking for one. Dani focuses on getting Luc out and they make a braid out of sabanas to scale down the wall.
Mati explains he had good intentions in schlepping Marisol to the matches and the 3 galans brainstorm.
Sofi and Fausto talk about Chava and Flor. Grrreta is eavesdropping and screams at Fausto.
The three teens plan some more.
Grrrreta bitches some more and more and more while Fausto explains he is helping the GIRLS; GIRLS meaning Alexa AND Daniela as well. Grrreta gives Fausto one last chance in which he MUST tell the girls what GRRETA wants to hear and he declines. THE BIGGEST BITCHING GRRRRRRETA HAS EVER BITCHED IN THIS SHOW; SHE FIRES FAUSTO! HELL NO BITCH, BURN IN HELL GRRRETA BANDI DE RIPOFF!
Sofi is back at the Ripoffery and the three muskateers Chava, Armie and Matt, talk.
Olly spews a mean one calling Lucas a piece of cowardice. Olly makes it out the front door while Luc rapunzels it down the wall and is almost caught by a gardener. He makes it out perfectly fine.
Sofi and Chava talk about the debt; Sofi is worried about Miguelina and even offers to pay the debt but Chava vetoes it. Its Lucas' problem.
Olly and Luc made it out of the mansion and argue in the car about Dani, the purloining and whaddaya know, they pull over to fight.
Fausto is out with his suitcase, scarf and cango. He laments the loss of his job for Sofia, Alexa and Dani's sake.
Olly annoys me some more with his stupid insult (might as well call Lucas cerote or maldito cobarde)
Sofi gets a call; Aurora says Greta has just fired Fausto.
Irais comforts Mati while he feels bad for being a "bad friend."
Silvie has caught wind that Fausto was fired. "Without the guy, that cerote Greta won't know what to do."
Sofi is in the house again and argues with Greta. Dani is in this now and is just as shocked as Sofia!
Luc and 'Lina reunite and Mari is in the background in a cute pink dress just standing there looking pretty.
Dani and Sofi just yell at Greta instead of pulling the classic, "IF HE GOES, I WILL GO TOO BITCH!"
Fausto buys a movie ticket.
Mati and Armie talk about bringing the cash thay they won back and Mati agrees.
Chava reminds Luc he is to face his fears as of right now.
Alexa calls Sofi and has heard about Fausto.
Elmer from Las Vias del Amor threatens to send Lucas to hell if he isn't paid the tall amount he is short of; in come Armie and Mati with the classic, "Youll have to go through me!"
Lina is talking with Dani.
Chava says beating each other won't help and that there are 2 soups; either you accept the money or there will be legal action. They accept the money and just tell Lucas to never come back. (I'm sure this isn't the last of them.)
Mari is subtly annoyed with Miguelina having been on the phone with Dani.
The 3 Muskateers and newly recruited Luc walk down the street glad, proud and heads held high. Mati throws in he would never hurt Mari or ever put her in harm's way and Chava says he knows.
Alexa asks what is Fausto's favorite place? The movies!
Luc is home safe and sound! Miguelina and Mati make a celebration dinner. Luc tells Mari where he was hiding during the day.
Alexa and Grrrreta talk about how Fausto had been Alexa's confident since she got back from Spain and longer. Grrrreta just bitch, bitch, bitches and it isn't getting through to her much.
Flor inside a taxi is planted on front of the mansion asking Renzi how to cause her scandal.
Avances- Flor will beg Sofi with all her fake might to leave Chava.

Greta firing Fausto: WHAT THE HELL ?
She's really pissing me off & I'm going to be enjoying the big anvil on her uppity ***!
I just could not stand Greta berating Fausto and then seeing him walking from the mansion puling his suitcase. I hope the girls make Greta pay and pay and then pay some more.

Greta's mom is seriously to blame for the way Greta has turned out. If it hadn't been for social prejudice, Greta would be with Paco happily married. I don't wanna pin it all on her because although she has been like an upper crust Irma, she has shown to have a heart like when Alan was beating Alexa and she lent a hand in trying to pry the jerk off. She didn't admit it right away but she liked that Dani was rebelling against her when it came to that money hungry school of hers.
Off topic: now off to watch the live Univision coverage of the celebration of El Día de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe from the shrine in DesPlaines, Illinois and the Basílica en Mexico City. It is always impressive and entertaining.

So right about Sophia and Dani's weak response to Fausto's firing. Sophia could doubtless set up her own household with the F-man as major domo.
She should probably set up her own household anyway, for a number of reasons. She's not the typical unemployed graduate returning to the 'rent's basement, but she should have some independence. But perhaps I'm being culturally obtuse. Do Mexican daughters generally stay in the family home until marriage?
Can't quite figure out the relationship between Oliver and Lucas. Its as if they are still kids and united in pulling one over on the adults while engaged in their own squabble.
Does Oliver have sufficient guile to realize that being seen by Dani to have turned Lucas in to Greta might turn her against him (O) and reinforce her feelings for Lucas? Somehow it didn't feel like his reactions were that calculated.
Many Hispanics are, or were very family-oriented. Americans could stand to learn a thing or two about taking care of one another. In many Hispanic families, several generations do live together. No one would even consider throwing their Mother in a nursing home for example. Americans on the other hand ,throw their kids in daycare, leave their responsibility to care for their aging parent to strangers or the state, never back each other up in time of need. There is nothing wrong with Sofia living at home whether or not she had a business handed to her or not. Family should be about uniting and working towards the common goal of seeing to it that everyone is cared for. It disgusts me to see some novelas trying to promote a more American way of living, which means being more greedy, selfish, and all about me me me! American values have gone down the toilet. When a Mother cares more about climbing the corporate ladder than raising the kids she chose to bring into this world, we have a problem. Maybe Mom should be less about me me me and more about her kids kids kids that never asked to be brought into this world. But selfish Americans wouldn't get that concept. I hope the beautiful family-oriented Latino culture never becomes like ours.
Greta was bound to find out that Fausto was working behind the scenes to ensure her daughters happiness (as that obviously was never on Greta's agenda). And I agree with you, the girls should have threatened to leave if she didn't bring him back.
Oliver was dressed in an odd array of sherbet colors last night. It was commendable he helped Lucas escape. I think he is a nice guy (although rather bland). The fight that didn't occur seemed rather ridiculous.
I don't know how Julio/Matias could keep a straight face when Irais was touching his cheeks and trying to cheer him up. I am hoping this romance ramps up soon.
Steve, Fausto is the heart and soul of this show. He has to return!
Very interesting comments today. Thank you!

"Grrrreta just bitch, bitch, bitches"
If Sofia & Alexa think it bad enough, what Greta is doing (not a surprise how she really feels), just leave. It's Greta's house and house rules. The girls are trying to have their cake and eat it too, shame on them. They want to bask in luxury and slum it with their boytoys and would have a very different standard of living if they cut the cord with mama.
Lucas makes me ill.
I wanted to respectfully reply to Anon 7:58's comparison of family orientedness of Hispanic vs. American families.
My dear daddy, 84, died last week in a nursing home. He had been in the nursing home for 18 months. It was a hard decision to put him in the nursing home, but we COULD NOT care for him at home. I live with my 84 year old mother and I am 58 and have a full time job. The only way we could have kept my daddy home would have been if we hired people to be with him 24 hours 7 days a week.
We tried having people come in 10 hours a night in the evenings and sending him to adult daycare but that was a short term solution.
It is true that some elderly are dumped in nursing homes and never see their families again. I hope this is more the exception rather than the rule. I would suggest that Hispanic families in the US probably would end up putting family members in a nursing home under the same circumstances.
It could be that in Central and South America that some have no choice but to undertake difficult caretaking because perhaps there isn't something comparable to Medicaid/Medicare. I don't know.
Here in the states, my Peruvian mother-in-law was put in a nursing home by her Peruvian children because they COULD NOT care for her at home either. Who would have been able to care for my mother-in-law 24/7 except for a skilled nursing facility?
I realize, because I have said the same thing in the past, that many people believe that Americans just blithely dump kids in daycares, and dump their elderly in nursing homes because they don't back each other up in time of need.
I suggest that here in the US, as families get smaller, move far away from each other, and work more hours, that this is more of what leads people to daycares and nursing homes. What if you have a baby, have to go back to work and your mom, sister, daughter, aunt, etc., lives 1500 miles away...or maybe lives near you, but has to work a full time job as well. What do you do?
The answers aren't so easy. I hope I haven't been offensive, but I am still a little raw from losing my dad, right before christmas.
Thanks for letting me spout off!
ITA with everything you said too. American's don't love their kids and parents any less than anyone else. The structure of our society (women who work; shorter maternity leaves; long distances from family; no cheap home help available) is what makes daycare and elder-care more necessary.
As for Greta-- she deserves to be abandoned by her daughters simply because she is mean spirited, petty, and is trying to run/ruin their lives.
Having had the pleasure of "knowing" you these last few years, I have no doubt that you were and are an amazing daughter. Your strength and kindness have always been evident.
I wish you and your family comfort and solace. May God bless you and your mother and wrap you both in His loving embrace.

I liked the first Chava very much.
He wasn't the most handsome guy in town although not bad looking. His strong points to me was that he appeared to be an average Joe kind of guy with a lot of wit and charm. This seemed to be the perfect kind of opposite match for Sofia, an upper classed, highly educated, savvy business woman. They were great together. David Zepeda is now on the show as
Chava. I saw David in Abismo De Pasion and thought that he did a good job. Here however, I don't think that he fits in. Handsome yes but the wit and charm is missing. I guess that it's hard to make a change in the middle of a show and I have no doubt that Mr. Zepeda is doing his best to fill in but my vote will have to go to the actor who played the original Chava. Am I seeing this all wrong?
the gringo
Yes, Pedro Fernandez, who is a famous singer (more singer than actor), officially dropped out because of health issues, and unofficially because of a jealous wife.
Hugs and best wishes of the season to everyone!
Stuff like this usually happens in real life!!!!!!
