La Gata #80 The one Eli did not recap

Patio Peeps, I got home after midnight last night and only managed to see a bit of the show, and I was so tired that my brain did not pick up most of what was going on, normally I could watch the show at work and write a quick recap but I have lots of work to do before taking off for Christmas, I'll tell you what little I do remember and we then we can use the comments section to fill in the missing parts:

Damian is in a coma and even if he does recover odds are he will have amnesia, this proves to be a hardship because all of Fernando's money was given to Damian and with him in a coma no one can write checks, this means Fernando and Co are broke.

Pablo volunteers to pay for Damian's medical bill, cause he is family, yo. Does painting bad pictures of cats pay that much?

Speaking of which, el idiota de Pablo is about to get bigger better projects, but guess what? He can't paint for anyone else but Gisela because he signed a contract he never read. Dumb ass.

Miss Kitty also wants to help with the bills, cause she is a grown woman.

Fela gets some of her memory back, she remembers that Agustin is a bad guy.

And in the :where the f*ck did that story-line come from segment:

It now turns out that Chacharas, or whatever his name is was once Blanca's manager. Seriously, now I think they are making this stuff up as they go along. Blanca was found how long ago? Whatever.

And I have a treat for you all, this is what I call: Stuff I read on Twitter! Enjoy.

"Senoritas please tell me. Are you all going around trying to kill women who are with men you can't have?, "

"Gissela is such an annoying psychopath "

"Gisela is such a boring and annoying character...can she just be killed off already.. "

Join us tomorrow when the crazyness is bound to continue!

For not being a recap, that was, in fact, a full recap. Thank you, Eli!

I will only add that further to the WTFery of Chacharas being Blanca's old manager (but never previously uttering the words "Blanca! Do you remember me? Your old manager?) he said that Mrs. Meatball was their cook who was in love with her boss (Fernando)? What? And somehow Fernando just never happened to meet his wife's manager??? And Rita came from where? And all three of these people, with their ties to Blanca that were so close that somehow, they think if they all come together, they can help her remember, NEVER met each other? Surely, a beanie cannot be expected to cover this mess.

Have to go with cat on this one - it's definitely a complete recap.

WTFery indeed.

Love the tweets!

Kat not cat.

-_-

Speaking of felines :p

I guess nobody knew that Esme had taken Principe with her to the shop? Everybody's worried about what's taking Esme so long (and I guess the answer to that is "nothing in particular"?) but didn't anybody worry about Principe?! Just because he's better equipped to survive a fall and walk away unharmed is no reason to ignore him!

It's too bad that he didn't get a chance to show Gisela the damage real claws can do.

It's also too bad that in her hurry not to be seen Gisela didn't wander into a clump of poison ivy or something.

Thanks, Eli. That was an amazing effort considering all the work-related stress you're under. Thank you!

I think my shipment of booze finally arrived; did everyone see the bottle sitting beside the lap top? I think Augie should iron that piece of paper that Lorenza crumpled up.

I have a question from the episode where Pablo and Esme were at the beach; is that style of hat Esme was wearing normal for Mexico or did she get it from a Viet Cong military surplus store?

I wonder when the art market will be saturated with paintings of Esme, and of cats?

From a tactical point of view, I am tired of everybody taking crap from Gisela. I want somebody to start scoping her out, see what her weaknesses are, and start attacking. (Oh, jeez, please excuse me; that would make sense, wouldn't it.)

Thanks again Eli, and I hope your Christmas time off is fun and relaxing.

David

David, I am going to imagine that Principe has tasked himself with formulating a plan against Gisela. And that the humans around him will be too stupid to help carry anything out. It's hard to find good help these days.

David - word. Gisela must go.

Oh and also under WTFery - all Low had to do was rip up the paper. I'm trying so hard not to spew profanity worthy of the saltiest sailor.

Short and sweet---Thank you Eli.
1:44PM OMG! Three cheers for the old college try.

LOL Diva---Surly a beanie cannot be expected to cover this mess.

Principe and claws--poison ivy? You're working it.

I thought that Augie did an excellent job with his angry rage last night. He's back to his old
feisty form. I had to laugh though. When Augie and Lo first moved into their new digs, you could hear people fighting and yelling next door much to Lo's discontent. I wonder what the neighbor's thought about Augie's outburst last night?
the gringo

David---It was Viet Cong surplus
I'm sure.

figure out her weakness and start attacking Gisela? Why not just ban
her---persona non grata.
the gringo

gringo, I can picture the neighbors putting their ears to the wall and trying to figure out what's going on. Augie was in fine form! It was a tantrum worthy of a toddler!

Oh, man, Eli this is funny.

"And in the :where the f*ck did that story-line come from segment:"

Why in hell didn't Lorenza pop that paper in her mouth and chomp.

Does Esmeralda have a clue how many young girls and old women in the villages around the world are stringing beads together? Huh? I've bought some really cool stuff, mean really cool stuff, for next to nuffin.

That hat of Esmeralda's is right out of a village in the countryside of Vietnam. Head over to Thailand and that hat has a flat top. I've never seen anything like it in north, central or south america.

Eli, you caught the high points for sure, thanks! (Plus I missed that bit about Chacharas, and Mrs Meatball; glad someone is catching all the important details!)

Kat I totally agree about Principe. When Esme was wheelin' around the hood with the Prince in her lap, cat looked kinda concerned. I can't remember if the cat actor was in Maite's lap when they filmed the pushover, I hope not. Is he going to just show up in a mansion scene?

J, nail-biting in Oregon

For everyone worried about Principe

Kat you are funny as hell. I do remember seeing Príncipe dashing away as Maite made it to the bottom of the hill. He was probably relieved to get the hell out of there.

5ft, I think your idea of Principe being the attacker is great. How about a little cat scratch fever?

Gringo, I enjoyed Augie's rant too. But we need just a little more booze for him.

Tofie, thanks for the info on the hat. I am not as well travelled as you, but I had never seen one in pictures anywhere but Vietnam.

David

Eli, I think you nailed it. Was chewin' the fat with family and only glancing at the screen. Other than that sickening Gisela pushing Esme down the hill, the only other thing that stood out was a "young-looking" Chacharas in a black and white flashback with some young babes. He was smooching up this one chick that was sitting on a table worshipping his face. What was that about? Was that supposed to be a young Blanca?

Enjoyed the discussion in yesterdays post about this being a teeny-bopper show. That makes a lost of sense and chills my outrage quite a bit. This is about the kind of fare teenies with raging hormones would enjoy. Also, with the scope and duration of their attention spans they wouldn't even notice all the dangling ends, non sequiturs, dropped and spontaneously sprouted story lines. It all makes sense now. I just hope they keep that crap in the afternoon from now on and give us grown folk something we can get excited about in prime time.
