La Malquerida, capitulo 83. 12/19/14.
Skipping the old....
Hector is having breakfast alone when suddenly he spots Cris walking up. She remembers his advice to concentrate more on her. So she woke up this morning and finished all her chores so that she can accompany him to San Jaciento. Smile from Hector.
The new girl, Estrella, swears to Ale that she will work hard and not fail her. Danilo creepily pulls her hair back. Ale asks Estrella to go to the kitchen with the maid for a bite to eat then lights into Danilo. He knows he promised but work is work. His associate already found her. What was he suppose to do? Return her? She begs him not to do it. He has enough girls working for him already. He tells her not to worry. He was advised that the little girl is not quite so innocent. Ale calls him a good for nothing. I will not allow you to do to her what you did to me. I will get her out of here even if you kill me for doing it.
Ulises tells Arturo that Manuel came by regarding the store location. He said that Acacia was going to be his partner. This angers Arturo. That jerk likes to make others feel bad. I don't understand how Acacia has him as a friend. Ulises agrees but wonders what's up. I just can't stand him replies Arturo. Ulises admits that he can't wait for the project to be over with so that he can move on and start another life. Perla overhears admission then makes her presence known. She came to see about the store location. She notices Arturo and asks who the hunk is. Ulises introduces his brother to her. She suddenly remembers meeting him and gives him a kiss on the cheek. She looks at both brothers and says that their parents definitely made them with lots of love. You can take the girl out of the brothel, but not the brothel out of the girl. Ulises offers to take her to the store location, but she's in no hurry. She takes a seat and asks if someone can bring her coffee. She's not use to getting up so early in the morning. Ulises tells her there is a coffee machine out in the hallway and she goes to fetch her some. Arturo says he has to go but is happy that Ulises has decided to get on with his life. Are you going to forget about investigating Danilo? Never, replies Ulises. I have to discover what is going on. I'm going to see if I can get any information out of Perla.
Danilo tells Ale to calm down. Why would you do that for someone you barely know? She reminds him that Estrella is just a girl. I'm sure you brought her with the pretense of honest work just like you did me. She gets on her knees and begs him to wait awhile before he puts her to work. Allow me to take care of her. He promises to think on it. He orders for the girl to be taken to her room but cautions Ale on what she tells her. Ale leaves to do his bidding but before he tells her he loves her and blows her a kiss.
Perla comes back to the office and is disappointed that Arturo left. She brought him some coffee. She realizes that her store is just another of many but for her, it's everything. Ulises says he understands that she wants to put in a beauty shop. She happily tells him she once took a course and has always wanted to open up a shop. I always have to fix up the girls and teach them how to enhance their appearances. What girls asks Ulises. My friends quickly covers up Perla. She suddenly decides she has to hurry and asks where Katia is so that she can see the location. He offers to call her and they will meet with her at the store location.
Juliana is yelling at Norberto. He promised things would be different. He reminds her that she also promised to be more affectionate with her. But since you are not doing that, I have to find someone that will be. She points out he promises to win her over little by little. I am not happy being alone in this house all day. He tells her not to complain about her rich life. This is what you wanted. Your golden cage and me far away. What more do you want? For a calm life and your respect as the woman in your life replies Juliana. He says he's not in the mood to argue and advises her to croquet something. They get interrupted by Manuel walking in drunkenly. Juliana looks disappointed and Manuel throws his dad his cellphone that he forget in the vehicle. She gets upset that Norberto took her son with him and storms out of the room. Manuel apologizes for creating more problems but Norberto just shrugs it off and says she will get over it. Manuel is delighted with the brothel and had a great night. Norberto advises him not to return. It's better if they go to San Jaciento instead. Small town and all.
German tells Andres about his upcoming exhibition and hopes Carmen will accompany him. Andres is delighted and knows Carmen will want to see him. Andres changes the subject. Every since that day you called me “papa” I have been emotional. German aka big sexy points out that he deserves the title. He has realized that the only reason Norberto let him be born was to tie his mother to him. If it wasn't for that, he would probably have made sure I wasn't born. Andres tells him not to say that. No matter what, Norberto did take care of you. I felt he was sincere when he told me he wanted to recoup your love. But I do not agree with his values and how he lives his life replies German. Manuel pointed out that I was more like you. I'm glad you think so says Andres. I have something very important to say to you. I want to legally acknowledge you as my son. During this time, Lucia is bringing coffee and hears this. She holds her stomach and runs off to the kitchen. German sees this and is worried. Andres wants to know his answer.
Esteban is waiting for Acacia at the college. She walks up and he asks if she got everything done. She did and has decided to return to El Soto. What's the rush asks Esteban. You can return later in the day with me. Since I am here, let's do something you want. He spots Cris and Hector.
German accepts Andres idea. He's just glad that he is here for him like a father should. That you love me. Always replies Andres. You can always count on me. German wants to spend more time together. Andres is in agreement.
Acacia thinks it's best if she returns alone but Esteban won't hear of it. He made some plans for the day but they have to hurry. Off they go while Hector and Cris are walking up to campus. He says he hopes they find Acacia so they can invite her to the exhibition. Cris believes she will enjoy it. They keep talking and she keeps laughing.
Luisa tells her baby that it's too bad his father will not recognize him like German's father just did. German aka big sexy walks in and asks Luisa how she's doing. He doesn't believe her when she says she's just peachy. He says Manuel told him that he behaved very poorly towards you. What did he tell you asks Luisa. Just that he made you feel bad and he's a jerk for treating you that way. You know I am your friend and you can always count on me. Luisa thanks him and swears if she needs anything, he will be the first to know. They hug.
Acacia asks where Esteban is taking her. He promises she will know in time. She tries to take her phone but he says today is a day we leave our phones behind for awhile. She grabs it again and says she wants to listen to music but Esteban wants to talk instead. How was school today? Everything went well today and I will be starting in a month replies Acacia.
Ale is interrogating Estrella and finds out that Estrella has no mother. It's just her, her father and her two little brothers. Her mother passed away. They were poor so her father took them all to the capital for a better life but it was worse. That is why I am glad that I met Danilo. I will be able to work and send money to my family. Don't worry. I may be young but I know how to work. During this exchange, Estrella is coughing. In walks Perla saying Danilo sent her. She eyes the young girl and is startled. Then eyes the girl. Ale has her arms around Estrella.
Esteban has brought Acacia to go riding. How long has it been since we went riding together? Since the death of Palomino replies Acacia. He doesn't want her to get sad or upset. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He would do anything so that she will always look at him this way.
Perla covers her mouth and nose when Estrella coughs again. She assures Perla that it's just a cold. Ale introduces Perla. Perla asks her age and we find out she's just 14. I don't find her very healthy but she looks strong says Perla to Ale. Ale says it would appear she will do well in taking care of the house. How questions Perla but Ale stops her from saying more. She sends Estrella off with the maid to find out where all the cleaning supplies are and to show her her room. Estrella thanks Ale for giving her a chance. She leaves with the maid and Ale begs Perla to allow her to take care of the girl. No, replies Perla but admits she doesn't want the young girl to work either. She's an innocent girl and doesn't realize yet the hell she just walked in says Ale. How much longer are you going to allow this?
Acacia is not sure she can ride again but Esteban tells her to confront her fears. She asks him to help her up on the horse which draws their face together. Heavy breathing and eye gazing. We see them riding around on separate horses around the park. Then stopping off to gaze at their surroundings. He brings her wildflowers and they talk and laugh. Then we see them on the same horse talking and laughing.
Perla pays a visit to Danilo in his office. He asks if she saw they new girl yet. He believes they will make good money on her. Yes, replies Perla. But she has a cold. Perhaps we should wait until she gets better first. I think we have to teach her little by little. Otherwise she can become uncontrollable. Then what are you here for asks Danilo. You are hear to teach them. Of course says Perla. They go over some paperwork but he notices her strange mood. He asks her what the problem is. I hope you are not going to act like Ale did. Of course not replies Perla. I just came to tell you that Norberto's son, Manuel, was here last night. He yells at her for allowing that to happen.
Arturo apologizes for the late notice but they had a last minute party for a dear friend of his. Rosa doesn't know if she can let Luisa go since she didn't ask Cris for permission. Luisa tells her that she already did. They need the money. Rosa relents but warns them to hurry back as soon as the event is over. Luisa thanks him for helping her out. He says she can always count on him to help her.
Danilo is roughing up Perla for allowing Manuel to be at the house. I thought I could trust you. She says she didn't know he was there but assures him he didn't see anyone he knows. Norberto was also here and I am sure will not allow him to return. Danilo calls Norberto an idiot. He can barely control his own kids how will he be able to control this? Do you realize the problems this causes? Of course I do replies Perla. But I also told you we needed to be cautious. Danilo tells Perla that Manuel cannot return. She agrees and tries to console him. She tells him about her store and how they soon will not have to worry about Ulises. He sends her off to get the new girl ready for their big party.
Cris tells Hector over dinner how much she enjoyed the exhibition. She looks at her phone and says she's worried that Acacia hasn't called yet. Hector reminds her that Acacia is a grown woman. Perhaps she ran into some friends and is hanging out. But why didn't she tell me asks Cris. Hector reminds her that when they were young, they would often escape without telling her parents. Cris understands but as a mother, you never stop worrying.
Acacia is delighted with the location there at. It's so beautiful here. He tells her he is enjoying the view also as he looks at her. He thanks her for a beautiful day. This is what we can have everyday if you will only allow it. Don't be afraid in how we feel. They kiss. Be with me. Acacia finally agrees and he swears she will never regret it. They kiss again.
Luisa is at the doctor's office for an appointment. She tells Arturo to wait in the waiting room and the nurse asks if her husband will not be accompanying her. He asks her if she wants him to come and calls her “my love”. Luisa is a bit uncomfortable and tells him to just wait for her.
Esteban tells Acacia how beautiful and strong she is for agreeing to be with him. She still has doubts on her feelings for him. With age, you will come to never regret what you did but what you didn't replies Esteban. I will do anything to have you this way forever. I want to take care of you and give you what your heart desires. They kiss again.
Cris is surprised that Hector has partnered up with Ulises. Hector believes he's a good person and has a great idea. I have no doubt he is a good person replies Cris. At that time I only had thoughts in protecting my daughter. Hector says that's all water under the bridge. He believes she should try and reconcile with Ulises and his family. Cris agrees and hopes Ulises understands her reasoning for acting the way she did. Hector says he will. Even though he was upset with you, he set his pride aside and was worried when you had your fall. This news surprised Cris. He thinks that Ulises still loves her daughter. If that was the case says Cris, that relationship is no good. There was a lot of hurt there. I don't they will make it if they tried again. He thinks that if you really love that person, you go thru things to test out how strong the love is. She thinks it's best to leave it in the past.
Esteban takes out Acacia to eat. He helps her with her chair and plants a kiss on the side of her neck. She tells him not to do that again in front of people. But no one knows us here he replies. Acacia looks around. Anyway if someone did, they will know just how fortunate I am to have you at my side. He finally agrees not to show anymore affection in public and keep their relationship a secret for the time being. He has something for her. He was in Mexico City and passed a jewelry store. The minute he saw it, he couldn’t stop thinking of her. It's a ring with hearts joined. He says one is his and the other is hers.
JC asks Elenita if Cris has returned yet. He's not happy she went out with Hector to San Jaciento. If I had known about it, I would not have allowed it. Are you serious asks Elenita. Do you not realize that Cris is a grown woman and knows what she's doing? They were even going to go and pick up Acacia so she wouldn't return alone. It's still not right replies JC. She is a married woman and Hector still loves her. How can you allow them to go out together? Elenita asks him to think about his daughter's mental state. It does her good to go out with someone especially one that she gets on extremely well with. JC isn't convinced.
Hector and Cris finish their dinner. She notices that Acacia texted her. Acacia is hanging out with a friend and that friend will take her to the hacienda. Cris thinks perhaps they should get her and take her home instead. Hector reminds her that Acacia is a grown woman. She finally agrees but thinks they need to return to the hacienda. Hector agrees. He's sure that her dad is waiting to interrogate him just like when they were kids. Cris laughs and asks if he will be able to take it if she told him she had a great time with him. He takes her hands, kisses them and says he will take it and more if he can have more time with her.
Norberto tells Pareda that he promises to sell him all his cotton like he told Esteban. German walks in and drops the bomb that Andres wishes to acknowledge him and give him his last name. He accepted.
Luisa comes out to Arturo and tells her everything is okay with the baby. They go to pay for the office visit and it's more then Luisa thought. He offers to pay for it. When she tries to give him what she does have, he tells her to hold on to it for the prescriptions.
Norberto cannot believe that German would accept that man's last name when he didn't even marry his mother. German reminds him that it was his mothers fault it didn't happen. So you are going to reject mine asks Norberto. Yes because you are not my father yells German. And I am glad because I don't accept your values. Norberto points out that he just did accept his mother with another man's baby. And why couldn't you then accept Luisa's baby asks German. You sent for the murder of Manuel's baby. Your first grandson. After all that, you think you are a dignified man? I know realize you never really accepted me as your son. You just did it to marry my mother. If it was up to you, you would have asked her to abort me too. German storms out of the office.
Esteban and Acacia return to the hacienda and are saying their goodbyes at the warehouse as not be seen. They kiss and she leaves. Rubio comes out of hiding and says I told you so. Esteban pulls out his wallet and acknowledges that he does do his job right. Rubio says he is as loyal as a dog. Esteban warns him not to bite the hand that feeds him. He knows how to kill bad and disloyal dogs. Rubio assures him he's loyal and proves it by saying the Norberto will pay him good money if things go bad at the Benevente. Esteban tells him to play Norberto's game but let him know everything that he asks of him. I will tell you what you have to say to him.
Cris is happy to see Acacia. She wonders how everything went today at the university. Acacia just says great. Cris says she and Hector were in San Jaciento. They tried calling her and even went to the university looking for her. Hector wanted to invite you to dine with us so you didn't have to return alone. Too bad says Acacia. Hector also said that you were a big girl and can take care of yourself. But we need to talk. Before anything, I want to apologize to you for the way I treated you after losing the baby. It was unfair to you. Acacia points out that she didn't think of her, Esteban or anyone else for that matter. Cris agrees and wants her to know that if she ever has any problems or needs her to count on her like before. Acacia doesn't want to hear it and says to forget about it. She's fine now and just like Hector said, she's a grown woman.
Danilo finds Ale downstairs and wonders what she's doing. Ale says she just finished having dinner with Estrella. He sends her to fetch the new merchandise. She says it's too soon to have the girl work but he assures Ale that the new girl is reserved for a special client. Meanwhile, I want her to observe how the other girls work. How they move, talk and treat the clients. Perla comes up and Danilo wants to know Estrella's whereabouts. She in the kitchen, do you want me to fetch her asks Perla. Danilo decides it can wait another day and instead wants her to lock up Ale. He doesn't need for Ale to spill everything to the new girl. Afterward, she needs to clean up the house because the clients will be here shortly. He leaves and Ale goes to follow but Perla stops her and gives her a “be silent” look.
Luisa excitedly tells Arturo that in 2 months when she returns, she will be able to listen to the baby's heartbeat. He offers to accompany her to the next appointment. It's getting late and he has to go. She thanks him for being with her and making her some cookies. The baby must enjoy them because I cannot stop eating them. Rosa comes in and asks about the cookies. Luisa quickly says the cookies were leftovers from the baby shower. Arturo says it was an emotional day. Because the invitees where able to demonstrate their love for the baby. And the most beautiful mother in the world. He looks at Luisa.
Perla tells Ale she's sorry but you know how things are here. If you would just accept it then you wouldn't have so many problems with Danilo. Ale knows but every time she looks at that girl and knows what's in store for her, she gets sad. It's one thing if she came knowing what to expect but another with lies and deception. She will eventually accept it just like all the others. You are the only one that wouldn't. Danilo really loves you. If you would just behave, you could have it all. Love, money and freedom. Think about it. You will realize that I am right.
Acacia is in bed looking at her ring when suddenly her window is flung open and it's Esteban. She smiles and runs to him. What are you doing here she asks. He wanted to make sure she was thinking of him. He brought her a flower to show that he is thinking of her. She smiles but says he has to go. Someone might see him. He wants to tell her that he loves her.
Elenita is happy to hear that Cris had a good time today. Cris happily talks about her day and how much she enjoyed doing things that she liked. She couldn't do them with Esteban since he wasn't interested. Elenita believes you cannot have everything/share everything with your partner. She tells Cris that her dad was not happy once he found out who she went out with. But I explained he didn't need to worry. Although you need to worry how Esteban will feel. You know he doesn't care for Hector and if he returns one day.....But he is the one that sent Hector to speak with me cuts in Cris. That just goes to show you just how much Esteban loves you. Think about what your doing. Elenita leaves and Cris picks up a picture of Esteban and says how much she misses him.
Esteban asks Acacia why she isn't talking. Do you not love me? Acacia says he has to go. Image what they will say if someone saw you outside my window. Will you accept my flower though asks Esteban. Yes, replies Acacia. But you have to go. Only after a kiss says Esteban. I will not leave until then. They kiss.
Ale is on the phone and calls Ulises. They need to talk. She will tell him the whole truth.
Lunes: Acacia goes to Esteban's hotel room.

Gloria, can't wait to read your recap.
Vivi and Gloria, I'm not sure what next week's airings will be. If LM is broadcast Christmas, I am still planning on recapping that night. If not, I can do either Monday or Tuesday of next week if either of you would like to take a night off.
I will be away visiting family from the 27th for about a week so will be unable to recap that week (I fear I will miss all the episodes that week). I will catch up with on demand when I return and read all the recaps and comments then.

My local TV schedule online shows LM airing every day next week. Diana, you'll be missed! So glad you can catch up with on demand.
I'm torn. I don't want Uli with Acacia. So her getting schmoochy with Este right under her mother's own roof is a good sign that she won't wind up with Uli. But I want Cris to have a happy ending too, and can't see that happening if her daughter is frolicking with her husband.

Know it won't happen but I'd be ok with Ale and Uli. Uli has been through his own life and death ordeal (at the hands of the same man) and came out stronger. The two could relate.

ITA. In order for things to be right in the universe, I feel happy endings are a necessity for Ale, Uli,German and Cris. There are many others but those are nearest and dearest to my heart.
There are so many possible scenarios as to how this will play out - it's mind boggling. Perhaps Cris will never find out (regardless of whether things go further between Este and Acacia which I feel is now a certainty.) I keep going back to one possibility but I'm going to keep that to myself for now.
That said, Cris is a strong woman and think if she does find out, she will have the support of her parents, friends and Hector. She will survive!

tofie, I agree that Ale and Uli have a lot in common - a world of hurt. As I noted above, I am pulling for these two to have the happy endings they want and deserve.

Diana- Thanks for the offer for help next week. I haven't looked at the tv schedule at all so have no idea. I'm also recapping a day of Quiero Amarte next week since Anita will be travelling. Let's talk early next week.
Diana- Yep. Ale is going to do all she can to make sure what happened to her doesn't happen to Estrella. But I'm afraid that she's going to dramatically the danger she's in. Last night alone, she exposed herself to more danger by arguing with Dana about Estrella (Perla even pulled her back once), and making that call to Uli with Dan in the house.

Loved that green blazer on Cris. She always looks great when she combines all black with a shock of bright jewel tones.

Yes, I think VR is quite beautiful and I love her clothes as well. Acacia is lovely, no doubt but I think Cris is the prettier of the two.

I think all of Ale's talks with Perla have taken root in her brain and heart. For the first time she's starting to question the morality of bringing young girls like Estrella into this life.

I was surprised to see that Perla was also concerned about Estrella working at the brothel. She didn't seem to care about Ale being there when she was so young. I guess Ale is changing Perla's way of thinking even just a little bit. But she was right not let Ale protest.
I feel bad for Norbie. Germán really let him have it. I agree that it's only right that Germán take Vivanco as his last name. Andres is his bio father and wants him to legally carry his name. Andres deserves that from Germán.
I like how Germán takes care of Luisa. Even though he can't let her know that he knows her secret he still wants to be there for her. She does have support from others (besides Art) and she should confide in German even if he already knows. Since Manuel, Norbie, and Juliana aren't supportive it's no surprise that Germán is the only one from that family that is. Although it's just like Manuel told him that at least he (Germán) resembles his bio dad.
I'm glad that Ale will finally tell Uli everything. I hope they are careful though. I hope they can pull it off.

I was surprised to see that Perla was also concerned about Estrella working at the brothel. She didn't seem to care about Ale being there when she was so young. I guess Ale is changing Perla's way of thinking even just a little bit. But she was right not let Ale protest.
I feel bad for Norbie. Germán really let him have it. I agree that it's only right that Germán take Vivanco as his last name. Andres is his bio father and wants him to legally carry his name. Andres deserves that from Germán.
I like how Germán takes care of Luisa. Even though he can't let her know that he knows her secret he still wants to be there for her. She does have support from others (besides Art) and she should confide in German even if he already knows. Since Manuel, Norbie, and Juliana aren't supportive it's no surprise that Germán is the only one from that family that is. Although it's just like Manuel told him that at least he (Germán) resembles his bio dad.
I'm glad that Ale will finally tell Uli everything. I hope they are careful though. I hope they can pull it off.
TF, it was so nice to see German comforting Luisa. He is so empathetic and caring. He is the antithesis of everything Manuel is not.

I am so bummed. Univision's Los Angeles station KMEX 34.1 went out about fifteen or twenty minutes into Hasta El Fin last night and didn't come back on. The
picture on HEFDM froze up and the broadcast transmission stopped. At
first I thought that my tv had broke but it was the same on another tv. All other stations worked fine. I kept thinking that it was a glitch at the KMEX station and that the novelas would come back on soon but they did not. Over an hour with either a frozen or black screen. Then commercials started running and finally a news reporter came on to say ??? All that I could understand was picture electronico
I missed all of La Malquerida.
Weekend depression.
Now what to do? I don't have any extra paid services like Hulu+ or video/movies on demand, the internet is expensive enough so I am stuck. Is there anyplace that one can see an hour of La Malquerida without having to pay for a years subscription?

I think Perla has spent so many years blowing smoke at men to feed their ego, when she's in public she still does it subconsciously. While, Perla may not be supportive of Ale and not personally care about Estrella, she just looked tired of the life. I can't imagine how many young girls Danny has brought in, handed to her, to get them ready.
That scene with Perla, Arturo, and Uli was hilarious. Art and Uli were just amused by it, but I'm surprised Art didn't turn bright red. :)
I agree Diana. Germán is a good guy and a good friend.
I liked how after Arturo left Uli's office and Perla came back and asks where the "guapote" went. I agree with you Tofie that Perla is probably getting tired of doing all this work for Dan.

I like how all the young characters try to be there for each other. Even Acacia and Manuel, who have selfish/self-centered natures, have many moments of being supportive, good friends.
The scene with German and Luisa was lovely. Although he couldn't tell her that he knew (part of) what had happened with her, Manuel, and the baby, he was able to make it clear that he's there for her no matter what. And that hug was great.

I think we have all been there. I remember during Destilando Amor, there were transmission issues at least once or twice a week - terribly frustrating. We often lose our cable during torrential rain and of course during blinding snow.
We are so fortunate our Vivi knows just where to send us when we miss something!

Gringo – me too! Argghh! I’m in the L.A. area as well (Sierra Madre to be precise) and I stared at that stupid screen for one hour hoping to see at least part of Malquerida. TWELVE minutes of ads –who knew they had so many in the pipeline they could show? And that poor weatherman who kept coming on briefly, smiling nervously while he listened into his earbud trying to figure out what he was supposed to do. More ads, and then that weather map of Bakersfield (100 miles from us) and then black for a long time. And then the news lady coming on and thanking us for all the calls and messages – ha! Etc. Re-run of some of the the 6 o’clock news and then Fam. P. Luche. I couldn’t believe it. Eleven o’clock came and we hadn’t seen even one minute of dastardly doings.

"It's a ring with hearts joined. He says one is his and the other is hers". Our macho, murderin' Este's pathetic attempt at romance.
"Esteban warns him not to bite the hand that feeds him. He knows how to kill bad and disloyal dogs". Yes, and loyal ones as well.
"Before anything, I want to apologize to you for the way I treated you after losing the baby. It was unfair to you." Despite the fact she has absolutely nothing to apologize, Cris puts her daughter's feelings above her heartache.
"Acacia points out that she didn't think of her, Esteban or anyone else for that matter". No, Cris thought of the child she so wanted and lost. How utterly selfish of her not to consider her daughter and husband by getting over her grief in the allotted three weeks! Acacia's remarks are so utterly selfish and self-centered, I wonder how on earth she could ever be Cris's daughter.
I loved Hector and Cris together and the strong friendship they have. Perla appreciation of Arturo was cute (and I mean, who could blame her??). I liked Uli's persistence with Ale and am happy she is about to tell someone the truth.

It will be very interesting to see how this house of cards starts to fall. Rubio knows all the secrets and is accepting cash and prizes from all the bad guys, so he may be the key to all the villains being revealed and start the pie carts rolling.
I think that it must be revealed that Este killed Alonso before or after he is squashed by his anvil. Both Cris and Ack must finally realize what a monster he really is. I do not think that he will ever confess, so Rubio will have to spill those beans.

Anon- Please, please, please, don't hint at was is to come. I love these last weeks of a tn when the end is near, and we really start speculating wildly about what's going to happen to our favorite and most hated characters. Sara..so glad that you are joining us . The writing and acting is so good in this novela. The plot moves steadily forward without a lot of swirling and twirling into nonsense...so far anyway. I surf in and out of La Gata because I just cannot stand all the craziness.

I agree, Susanlynn. This is a good straightforward plot. I didn't feel lost while watching. I have to assume that's because the stories were well laid out during the early episodes.
This is a very good show. I wish the early slots could get similar quality. I know the themes of this one don't make for early slots, but surely there are good shows that aren't so dark?

It is just plain maddening to spend time and effort putting down a comment and then proving that you are not a robot just to have the comment fly off into cyberspace and held captive by a mean and cruel cyber ghost. Oh well, will try once more.

Estebone is working hard to get Acacia horizontal. I CAN'T WAIT to
see the Oscar winning performance
when Acacia learns that her sweet Estebone was the one who murdered
her beloved father Alonso. That has to come out at some point.
Everyone is thinking that Estrella's cough is TB. I had that thought also first thing Friday night. If it is TB, Estrella would be spreading it around to everyone as it is very contagious.
So Ale is going to be locked up and away from opening night with Dan's new young arrival. I want to see Alejandra beat DanEvil within an inch and I mean an "inch" of his life. Beat him with his own cane. Then have the police drag him away.
Rubio loves Luisa although the love doesn't go both ways. Luisa will not be able to hide the bun in the oven for long. When Rubio finds out, he will be incensed and
filled with rage. Rubio has a machete and Manuel doesn't have the use of his right hand or arm.
Not a spoiler because I never view things ahead but it seems obvious to me that there will be a Manuel, Rubio showdown.
From the talk that Hector had with Cris, it seemed to say, at least to me anyway that Ulises and Acacia will at some point get back together. And then there is the opening Uli/Acacia embrace during the intro each night. Estebone you're working hard on Acacia but murdering stalker's always loose. I just think that it is just too bad that Itzel is long gone, out of the picture and forgotten.

Btw, does anyone else see the similarity between this telenovela and doña barbara, I mean the storyline about mother, daughter and stepfather triangle is basically the same just few differences.
Christian Meier even plays the stepfather there too.
I guess doña barbara's ending could have been one of the alternative endings, if esteban would not have been such a hypocrite.

A little trivia regarding NERD. According to wikipedia Rubio's real character name is Braulio. I am pretty sure his name hasn't actually been mentioned, has it?
Anon..Yes, I saw Dona Barbara. In that Novela, the stepfather was a good guy not a killer. That was a crazy show. Edith Gonzales was great in the title role. Yikes, so much revenge.

Yep. Noted that CM was playing a step-daddy hot for his stepdaughter like he did in Dona Barbara when this started. The difference here is that we are rooting for the mom and not the daughter, and of course the stepdad is a murderer here. Dona Barbara is a very dark tale, but it was a well-made tn.
TF- Rosa called Rubio by his really name, Braulio, early on. But he seems to prefer El Rubio, and proudly proclaimed it's because of his light hair (which he proudly combs all the time) which is rumored to come from his unknown Gringo dad.
True Vivi. To me Rubio's hair is more gold-ish not exactly blonde but yeah that's his signature thing.
