Mi corazon es tuyo #96 12.2.2014 Being cuffed can be a good thing, after all. and Isa keeps scheeming using Alicia. Diego continues to come to his senses.

Refritos:

Diego/Ana scene.

Fernando/Ana/Pablo.

Twins show Alicia the cuffs.

Fernando bans Alicia and Pablo from seeing each other. Ana thinks it is a bit extreme. Alicia begs. But Fernando says they lied… things did not start right between you. Sorry but you must think about what you did. Next time be responsible and honest.

Lo Nuevo:

Fernando offers Pablo a ride with the driver. Ana tells Alicia/Pablo that they need to wait for the waters to calm down and then she will talk to him. Both Alicia and Pablo smile grateful.

Isa and Freeky… he yells he has to be better than Fernando. Isa tells him Fernando right now has many issues on him. Freeky says its not enough. Isa tells Freeky that they both will keep Fernando/Ana apart. They have to relax to think things better. How about you take me to dinner while we think?

Sebas explains to Luz and the twins that they can use the cuffs to force two people to stay together… the twins have no idea where the key is though. The twins want to play cops and robbers… Luz says think bigger! Luz suggests use the cuffs to keep Ana and dad together. The boys love the idea. Fernando shows up so they have to hide the cuffs. They all head to homework room.

Fanny and a girl from the ‘home’ named Maricela talk. Maricela tells Fanny her story and why she ended up alone and pregnant. The boy was 17 and fled. Fanny is moved.

Ana tells Alicia and Pablo that they did do some things wrong and have to give Alicia’s dad some time. Pablo tells Alicia everything will be ok, and gives her a kiss just outside her lips and then leaves. Alicia freezes and Ana has to ask her what Pablo did to her. Alicia seems happy. (is it her first kiss??) Alicia tells Ana she feels a bit of tickles all over. Ana is happy for her.

Back to Fanny and Maricela. Her mom is not supporting her. Has not seen her dad in a long time. She feels she is better at the ‘home’ than with her parents. Mom used to hit her and force her to care for her younger siblings and not doing housework. Mom would hit her with the belts or anything she found. Maricela cries. Tells Fanny she is going to school. Fanny asks her what she wants to be in future. Doctor, to help girls like her.

Leon comes to the house. Fanny is not home. Leon came to talk to Fernando anyway. As he waits for Bruno to fetch Fernando, Leon texts Fanny.

At the ‘home’ Lenin comes to get Fanny, the Director wants to talk to her. Maricela asks Lenin if Fanny is his gf, but he says no… not yet. Fanny’s jaw drops a few inches…

Nando talks to Diego about Ximena… Trying to evaluate his options in the most rational way, trying to comprehend what is incomprehensible (Sp?) considering all the variables… uncertainty is a pain. Fearing that any action of his could create a catastrophe. Diego admits that what happened to him was his fault, not Ana’s. Diego admits that he knew Ana did not love him and never promised anything more than her effort to try to love him. But because of his blindness to that he almost killed himself.

Alicia is talking to Isa, but she does not realize Ana is listening. Isa says no one understands us. Isa says if she likes Pablo, her dad can’t ban her from seeing him. Isa enables and plans for Alicia to see Pablo. Isa hangs up, she tells Freeky she loves to put Alicia against Fernando and the nanny. Freeky asks Isa why she wants to help him. She says can’t let her only ally, him, to fall apart. (te desmorones)

Leon tells Fernando that Freeky fired him. Fernando offers to place him in another department in the company. Don’t worry about paying the loan… that can wait. Leon says he has texted Fanny but she has not responded.

Fanny argues with Lenin, she did not want to argue in front of Maricela but she did not appreciate his comment. They get to the director. The director says Maricela needs support and some tlc. Fanny asks how can she help? Lenin offers to bring her. Fanny says can come alone thanks.

Lenin and Edith explain to Fanny on the bus ride back that the ‘home’ can only help 50 girls at a time but there are many more. Girls that have no choice but to become prostitutes on the streets.

Johnny pitches Edna for the cook job to Fernando. They could give her a trial period. Fernando says ok give her a try. She is super happy. Bruno will be overseeing her work. On their way back Johnny tells Edna that Fernando looks like an ogre but is not really. (Fernando grins, he heard that).

Ana and Fernando argue about the punishment for Alicia. She says Fernando is having trouble seeing Alicia as a young woman.

Isa comes to visit Alicia. Luz gets sick at the sight of her. Isa brought a chain present for Alicia. She loves it…

At hospital, Doctor tells Fernando and Jen that Nico needs 24 hr supervision. Nico argues with Fernando about needing that service. Fernando won’t let Nico argue more. Caso cerrado.

Fanny and Edith… Fanny calls Leon. He will come visit later.

Isa builds some more trust with Alicia… They come out of the girls room. Fanny not happy to see Isa either. Isa brags to Fanny that she won’t get rid of her so easy. Alicia wants her around and she is having her little bro.

Ana and Fernando arrive. Ana keeps telling Fernando he will sooner or later have to control his jealousy over his daughters.

Isa and Alicia come down. Isa wants to talk about Alicia. Fernando says nope we’re not. We have nothing to talk about. Alicia gets upset. Isa asks if he does not think Alicia should have boyfriend. Fernando says he won’t talk to Isa about it and to rub it in takes Ana to the library with him. Isa mocks them.

Fernando tells Ana that Nico is right, won’t ever be able to shake Isa off him. Ana says right, then ‘cancelo! Cancelo!’ The younger 4 come in. They want to take a photo of Fer and Ana… They are suspicious and while the twins take the photo, Sebas puts the cuffs on them. ‘you are cuffed and you won’t be able to part ways’ says Luz. The kids run out… Ana rants at Fer to not pull so hard. Ana tells him they have to find the keys to the cuffs. They have a hard time coordinating their movements until they finally march at unison. Fernando explains to Ana that the police came to show him the video footage of the murder attempt on his dad. Could not recognize the guy at all. A bit funny how Ana says slow down up the stairs then hurries up and he is dragging behind in pain.

Isa and Alicia plan for a secret meeting between Alicia and Pablo at Isa’s place, but Bruno has heard this. Isa tries to get Bruno busy by ordering him to make her some crepes. She is hungry!

Ana and Fernando knock on the boys room… but the boys and Luz won’t open the door. One of the twins gets afraid they will die if they don’t open. Ana and Fernando keep hurting each other’s hands. Fernando runs out of patience and gets red with anger. Fanny comes out. She has a blast at the ingenuity of the kids with the cuffs. She wonders why didn’t she think of that… and walks away.

Edith finds Nando at a balcony, he can read in peace outside when it gets a bit chaotic inside. Nando was the model boy… no problems, no friends. Edith says she keeps the appearance to avoid others. They talk about the common feelings and the experiences they have both had of being alienated and ignored or pushed aside by others.

Ana and Fernando ask the kids for the key, but the twins say they don’t have it. Fernando finds it amusing, Ana nags at him.

At Chicago, DoroTeo is getting massaged by Dana… his cell phone rings… it is YoMama. He won’t answer. Dana asks if YoMama is Fernando’s MIL. Yup. She lives in an apt in my building.

YoMama is angry that Ino-Doro won’t take her call. YoMama mocks Ramona on her ‘margarita’. Then tastes it… to YoMama’s surprise, the margarita is PERFECT!! Best Margarita she has ever tasted! Ramona dances for joy. Eventually YoMama suggests to Ramona to get one for herself so she has someone to talk to.

At house, Isa and Alicia are still in kitchen, now enjoying the crepes. Isa asks about Manuela. Bruno says he heard she went to a spiritual retreat. Isa laughs about that. Doorbell ring is heard. Alicia and Isa plan to put the secret date on tomorrow. As she hugs her we see Isa whine/mock about how naïve Alicia is.

IT was Leon at the door. Bruno tells him Fanny is in her room. Leon remembers the earlier drawings from the series. He can’t wait to give her the fourth.

Fernando still nagging at the kids about not having the keys. The kids say they want Fernando and Ana to be together always. Ana says not possible. This is not the way. (kids add ‘but its not a bad idea!’) Fernando insists they need to get the key… twins insist they don’t have it. Ana shows them the scrapes in her hand. Fanny says there is only one option, that they spend time together. Fernando remembers the long kiss after the zoo.

Advances: the cuffs issue… Ana seems to be in a bind since she has to go to the Chicago right NOW!!! And she is still cuffed to Fernando. Johnny tells her if she does not go Ino-Doro will tell all to Fernando.

(Ana, I would say take the bull by the horns and take Fernando to the Chicago RIGHT NOW!!!) give him a swimsuit and remind him of his days in ‘Solo para Mujeres!’ we’ll bring tip money to put on him!)

Good stuff, Marta.

What is with Yomama inviting the maid to drink with her? Is that meant yo vex Hissabela?

UA, you're right. i think YoMama will eventually turn on Hissabella especially if she ignores her and alienates her at home like that.

Enjoyed your recap Marta!

Not much of an episode really, and can't say I was especially enthused about the handcuffing. I may give a pass to the twins and Luz thinking this was a good idea, but Sebastian?..and then even Fanny? Me, I thought it was stupid, and painful and all I could think of "do you kids have a plan on how the bathroom business will work? Didn't think so"

I see Yomama getting to enjoy having Ramona around. If she came from a similar background, maybe it will bring her back down to earth and back to appreciating where her roots are. I kind of like Ramona so far and the fact Isa may become odd man out, that could be fun. Still worry about that poor baby.

So Edna is now on board...really? Fer just goes with the handyman's recommendation? I can't even...No offense to Edna.

Love the Nando/Diego scenes. It seems Nando can always more easily confide in his uncle than his dad since, as he says, he was always the perfect son...no bother to anyone. So to complain or ask advice I guess in his mind is a breakage of that image to his dad. Really sad, but I love that he and Edith are becoming good friends...and hopefully leads to more. I don't want Ximena back.

During the Fanny/Admin meeting on the girls, I kept thinking..the hacienda might be a great home and school for girls. And why am I getting the feeling that just maybe they may go there with Lenin and Fanny... he doesn't entirely bug me and I would be interested to see what he's like when he lowers his trying too hard shield.

Is it me, or did they just drop the whole Laura plot. Or was her confession a means to just end her Eeky plot and back-burner her? And Fer leaves the company but can still get Leon hired to "another department". I didn't catch that scene, so that is confusing to me.

My guess, Ana makes it tomorrow and there still won't be a confession or reveal of her dancing to Fer. Frankly, tired of this whole secret life issue.

Daisynjay

I am also tired of the secret job issue. But that job is not Ana's life; she doesn't date customers or lap-dance them. She has never sold herself to anyone, nor will she. However, Doroteo's demand that she work without pay for the next four nights as "punishment" is an escalation of his control that can't lead anywhere good. It needs to end.

It would probably not have happened if Diego were still Ana's novio. Now with that relationship over and Diego in the hospital needing surgery Ana has no protection other than her own street smarts, which are taking a back seat to her fear of Fernando knowing this piece of truth.

True, we haven't seen Laura in a few episodes but there may be no reason to keep her around. Fanny has a new BFF and there is no Ximena for Laura to torment. I've been wondering for a while why we've never seen Laura's parents.

As to Lenin, I suspect there will be a confrontation between him and Leon about a dozen episodes from now.

Finally, Daisy, why are you so eager to strip the Lascurains of any of their holdings? Nico and Fernando have worked their butts off for those places; it's not like they're "idle rich" types who need to be brought down to earth.

The way Fer planned on getting Leon a job back at Costena was that he still has a lot of friends in the company and even though he is no longer the Pres he still has lots of pull.

Agree that the Lascurains started the company and put their whole lives into it. I for one am still unclear how Fer could just walk away.

He walked away rather than having a potential scandal get worse. I don't think he will stay away permanently.

We are getting the impression lately that Enfrique isn't up to snuff on running this company, so the rest of the board (during Linda's absence) might demand that Fernando return pretty soon. He may be out just long enough for his divorce to become final (not that he planned it that way) and to put his house in order. Which could mean that he will return to the office in the last week of the series.

Thanks for the excellent recap, Marta.

Put me on the list of those who are tired if the "secret life". The sooner Ana's truth us out, the sooner the inevitable (?) breakup and reconciliation.

Yes, Laura fulfilled her function in the plot so it will be interesting to see if she ever apears again.

Glad that Fanny told Lenin she could travel on her own to the hacienda after he said he would be "bringing" her. I cannot stand his arrogance. I think I mentioned that befote. : )

Funny parts:

Fernando hearing that there were no keys to the handcuffs and getting that little smile he kept trying to hide.

Yolanda telling Ramona that she looked "re mona" (really cute) in her blue uniform that went really well with her "canela" (cinnamon) complexion and Ramona not getting it but thinking she was just mispronouncing her name. Yolanda needs some company when she is not scheming on how to get Doroteo or putting up with Isabela. Sure looks like Ramona will solve that problem.

How long will it be before they call a locksmith or the police?

Jarifa

Since the police had paid a visit I'm sure Fernando will realize that the cuffs belong to them and call these two detectives about this. Those two guys aren't dumb and at least one of them would have kids and understand this level of kid mischief.

What I DO NOT understand is after concrete video evidence of a near murder of Nico that Fer is doing anything other than finding the would be murderer. The list of suspects you can count on one hand. Fer is more concerned about his pubescent daughter's attempts to lose her virginity than the murder of his wonderful Father.

Thank you, Marta. You always capture the flavor of the episode while bringing so much great detail.

I guess that the antics of the kids and the starts and stops of their relationship is so built into this novela that we have to endure lots of filler. The handcoffs seems silly, after we had the two of them in jail already. But as a build=up to Ana trying to get to Chicago, I guess it works for increasing he tension about the BIG REVEAL.

I was thinking that maybe Marcela's baby might be on the path to adoption by Jennifer and Nico. Just a passing thought as coincidences are the stuff of novelas. I was a bit offended on Fanny's behalf that her material resources are always in demand, though the gap between what she has and the children have is pretty vast. I like that Edith appreciates Fanny for her kind and brave character. I also liked that Edith and Nando agree that nonconformity is fine.

Great comment, Kirby, about Fernando's odd reaction to the near killing of Nico. Between that and his hiring of Edna, I am beginning to think that his talents lie in the business, not personal and household management.

Thank you to all of the recappers over the Thanksgiving holiday and the last two nights! I'm finally caught up. Soooo happy Diego didn't die!!!!

I felt like Lenin, and to some extent Edith, were laying rich girls guilt on Fanny, which is unfair, when on the return bus. I think she already feels it because of Leon, Edith and Laura. Now Lenin is playing on it.

I thought Isa was supposed to be rejoining the company as VP. Is she waiting until after the baby? She worked closely with Fer during her tenure and should be able to help Reeky. Fer thought she was doing a good job when she was there.

Could we see a Bruno/Edna pairing now?

I've become a bit tired of the kids love lives. Fanny and Leon was fine but then Nando and Xime was exhausting. I know I'm in the minority but I find Nando and Edith boring. Now with Alicia and Pablo, or as I like to call him "helmet hair", it has all become too much.

When Nico was told he had to move in with Fer all I could think was "great, move a heart attack victim in with 7 kids (8 inc. Edith since she seems to have no home)". But I guess it is safer with an assassin on the loose!

Carviville, I am tired of the seemingly interminable "rich girl" guilt, too.

Jarifa

How long is Isa going to scheme & manipulate innocent people?

That's what I was thinking, Carvivlie. Nick is more vulnerable away from the mansion.
Fernando needs to get the locks changed.

The problem he has at this point is that he doesn't realize that Enfrique is his enemy because Fernando doesn't know that he holds him responsible for the decline and death of his own father. And even if he knew it's a big stretch to thinking he'd murder Nick in revenge.

Steve, I think Isabitch is going to scheme and manipulate until she does something she can be arrested for. She is a miserable, insecure person who delights in the greater misery of others.

Who would have guessed that Luz would end up being the intellectual mastermind of the pranks?

Kind of getting tired of Isabruja feeling so entitled and endlessly mentioning she is carrying Fernando's child. Imagine demanding crepes of all things; why not a simple sandwich or salad--not for Isabruja.

Interesting that Edith admitted that she dresses Goth to keep others away.

Yep Kirby I agree, the fact that the attempted murder of Nico is taking a backseat to everything else is perplexing and may end tragically.

I'm not too pleased with the way the writers are portraying women in this series. I don't remember women being so objectified in PEAM, so it must be the writers and not Osorio.

Seems like now we will have to put up with episode upon episode of YoMama's ridiculous, overt sexual advances with golden tooth Doro. Will this woman ever satisfy her sexual appetite?

Mati, great thought about the possibility of Marcela's baby being adopted by Nico and Jen. So the girls' home would serve a dual purpose, somewhat of a PSA and life growing experience for Fanny and an adoption agency for Nico and Jen. This could very well end up being the best plot line of series.

Carvivlie, loved your Pablo "helmet hair" comment. Dies anyone know if this is the true natural hairstyle of this kid?

Can't imagine a recent heart bypass patient walking up and down that staircase.

Marta, as always your recap and translation really get to the beef of the story (especially filler episodes I find so boring) and help so much in understanding Ana's slang and fast speech.

I wish the writers would get on with the real action--introduce Ana's mother and the big "reveal".

I think that if Ana had seen the tape of the killer in the hospital room, she might have recognized Enrique from his height and gate. She is a much more observant and intuitive person than Fernando.

I agree that Fernando doesn't get the enormity of Enrique's pathology and revenge, but you don't become a business person of Fernando's status without having a fair degree of suspicion about everything and everyone. Depicting him as an upright and non-paranoid businessman serves the story well but is a bit unbelievable. It does work well, UA, with your scenario about his efforts to help poor women and children in the end.

I didn't say it clearly enough but I agree that it is not fair that the young activists involve Fanny in their endeavors -- no matter how worthwhile -- for her money. I do like that she gives it back to Lenin in other ways but the guilt-tripping about her wealth is not cool.

Nando did say that he kept up with Diego even when the brothers were estranged. I loved their conversation in the hospital!

I agree that Ana might have picked up on that. She's had a creep vibe about Enfrique from Day One. She might have gotten that from the video. Too bad she wasn't in the library to see it but that would have probably cut at least 40 episodes.

I wonder if Fernando ever got to see when the murderer(wannabe) got close to Nico to whisper to him about 'your son got my dad, now i am going to get his' (or stte)... didn't this video camera get sound and the police could get the sound cleaned up and amplified? And yes, Ana could have picked up on that part or on Freeky's body language and physical traits... even Fanny could.

thanks so much Marta.

Gonna be the harpy, harpy again but Ana gave a small talk to Alicia about lying and she had guilt written all over her face.

Well, guess Juan is now over human resources at the house.

UA - not eager at all for them to lose what they have. Where I was confused is that if Fer did step down from his position, it looks like maybe he still has some control? Is he still Chairman of the Board or majority stock holder? has that been ever made clear? If that's the case, then Eeky's winning the presidency isn't THAT big of a deal since Fer can still hold some purse strings on his success or failure and maybe why he's such a nervous ninny about not being a failure. That was more my direction on the question about Leon.

In the past, I thought the writers were definitely telegraphing that Fer would lose it all, but that seems to have changed. I don't mind at all they keep their hard-earned money, and would love it if they started to channel it in the way Fanny Sr or now Fanny Jr is envisioning getting involved in the community. There was a little ivory tower mystic about the household at first that is breaking down...though hiring Johny could still have been avoided as embracing the outside world.

Daisynjay

Daisy,
i know in one of the previews, when Fernando was handing some balance sheet papers to Freeky the VO said stte of 'Fernando hands over his fortune'... but what Fernando told Leon was that he had contacts/friends in the company (probably managers of other departments) so he could place Leon in another dept away from Freeky and company management area. that is what i heard.

Fernando and Nick must still hold a good combined share of the company stock. I can't see anyone founding a company and then selling off his share if his son is the CEO; that would be a huge tactical error.

They may not own the majority of the stock, but probably hold a combined total that is larger than anyone else's. I don't recall hearing any actual numbers on it, even in the early meetings.

As to Enfrique's threat in the hospital room, I am guessing that the microphone (if there was one) wasn't close enough to get his voice. I also wonder about the resolution of the video. If Ana saw it on a large-enough screen she could probably identify Enfrique by his eyes.

I am with UA. Fernando can step down from the CEO and that might reduce a bit the control he has over the company, but Nico and him must still have company stock and thus some say/vote in what happens. Besides, with Freeky's lack of management skill, the stockowners (minus Pretty bun) will be begging Fernando to come back.

Thanks, Marta.

Do they only have the one surveillance video to work from? Shouldn't there be lots of security cameras in the hospital, so a detective should be able to trace back and find out where that masked intruder came from or went? He changed into the surgeon garb in the hospital somewhere. Even if he changed in a closet or restroom, someone should be able to figure out who went into that room and came out disguised, or vice versa, unless they only have cameras in patient rooms or something. But if Fer or Ana were suspicious enough and thought about it, they should be able to recognize Frique from his shape and the way he moves. People move in distinctive ways. Often, if you see someone you know well, you can recognize them by their shape and movement from a distance before you can clearly see their face.

And Fer should definitely be able to think of some enemies. Hm. Linda, who was trying to force him out of the company. Isa, who is a rage monster of vengeance. Frique, whom he forced to resign. And that's without even trying to think hard. I hope he's at least smart enough to have thought of them and maybe just wanted to think about it some more before mentioning it to the police. But he should be stepping up the security at his home and for his family. If someone wants to hurt Fer, why would they stop at the attempt on Nico? It would be so easy to follow Fanny, since she goes all over town by herself, and attack her. Nando, too. The others would be harder to get at just because they don't go out alone, but still vulnerable.

Ana needs to take her own advice. Tell Fer the truth, let him rage, and then come back when he's calmer.

Handcuffs can be funny. The handcuff scenes were one of my favorite parts of Tontas. But in that one, they were in an isolated house and Patricio was the one keeping himself handcuffed to Miss Centro Universo. And she did have to use the loo, which was awkward for her and funny. But in this case, Fer and Ana are at home and free to call the police to come take their cuffs off, so I don't think this was a well-thought-out scheme. Oh, well, nice try for little kids. I'm with Fanny on laughing at it; it isn't a serious enough situation to require that she actually do anything. They can fix it, easy. Maybe they'll manage a better Love Shack situation later.

Julia, I am with you... if Fernando stopped to think just for a moment... he knows that Freeky had been approaching Fanny with questionable intentions... she told him so... and has been showing up at Fernando's house unannounced... yes, Fernando can give him the benefit of the doubt for showing up at the hospital every time there is a Lasc in there... but just think, man! like Julia said, what about Lynda pretty buns, or Isa/YoMama... look what they tried to pull with Ana and her vulnerability about her mom...

Something was said on Monday about checking other surveillance videos, but that is likely to take time. It's been less than 12 hours since the police visit.

I think we are forgetting that even though Fernando canned IkkyLizard for inappropriate behavior towards Fanny, he still acts like they are buddies, accepting IkkyLizard's visits to his home and hospital. Not to mention Isabruja's acting as if she still lived in the mansion.

I just don't understand how Fernando can overlook IkkyLizard's past behavior.

But more importantly, the writers are treating us like nitwits not thinking we will pick up on details like LA Costeña stock, Jen's payoff of her debt, etc.

Thanks for mentioning those things, Victoria.

With regard to the disrespectful way Enfrique treated Fanny on the day of his interview, Fernando should not have hired him in the first place. A grocery company should respect women absolutely since they are the majority of their customer base and for Enfrique not to know that either is equally incredible.

Since Fernando is now more aware of who Isabitch really is he should also question her associations as well.

We still don't know whether Jen has been anywhere near Doroteo with a checque. Probably Nick's heart attack delayed that. Whatever the case may be, she needs to have a bodyguard with her when that happens.

Fer should REALLY be VERY SUSPICIOUS of Enfrique. Firstly, he was rude to Fanny when he first arrived at the company for his interview. Fer never should have hired him as a VP after that. Then he was always creeping around Fanny. He kept inviting himself over to the house and showing up at the hospital even though he'd barely known Fer a few weeks at that point. He was recommended by Isa, and Fer now knows she is a total witch. He knows that Reeky has been vile to Leon (he doesn't know the extent of the threats, but he knows he treats him terribly). Wake up and smell the rotten tuna, Fer! Something is VERY fishy here!

I love that Enrique has no clue what he's doing at work and doesn't even have the sense to hire people who do know what they're doing. He had a graphic design student trying to do his financial analysis or whatever the heck he was working on. So not only does he not have the technical skills for the job, he also doesn't have the management skills to use the professionals who do. I'm sure there are employees there who could help him with all this stuff, and if he were smooth he could delegate without even letting on that he doesn't know what he's doing. But Enrique is a sneaky creepy thug and only knows how to behave like a sneaky creepy thug, so he puts Leon on the job because he's already got him threatened into secrecy.

I wonder what will happen now that he fired Leon. Maybe with Linda Bunny gone, the other board members will appoint Luz as president. She couldn't be worse than Enrique. But it's more likely Johnny will get the job since for some reason he needs to be everywhere trying to convince us that he's all that, plus there might be a few women at La Costeña he hasn't creepily ogled yet.

Knowing what Enfrique is like he might have been looking for any excuse to fire Leon. But...

Since Fernando will look for another spot for him perhaps it will be the exactly right one.

The next thing to correct is to take off the rose-coloured glasses Beatriz is wearing when she looks at this latter-day Frankenstein monster. I used to think she was a lot smarter.

Isn't Leon entitled to severance pay? That is the law in Mexico, right? If he could collect severance but also start a new job right away, he might actually come out ahead financially. It would be nice if Fer had a friend who would hire him at some other company, though, far away from Enrique. Surely he must have some former suppliers or customers who use graphic artists.

Maybe I missed this if it was discussed before, but was the pregnant girl our sweet Raymunda from PEAM? Or just a look-alike? She was much smaller then but the face looks so similar.

Betty would do a better job than IkkyLizard
