Muchas gracias, Jean.
¡Y Prospero Año Nuevo para usted, Jean!
¡Y a todos!

Thank you, too, for our new page.

Los Mis

Still hooked, even when frustrated to growling by it! I hope others are still watching and enjoying--well, enjoy might be the wrong word for it?

I'm likely in for Dueños del Paraiso with Kate del Castillo, starting, according to the Telemundo website, on Tuesday, January 13. It appears to be in the Señora Acero slot.

I'm debating recapping, but would like to know if there are any others interested. Can't commit to the whole thing.

Thanks, Jean!

Dueños
I'm definitely in but I won't be able to recap.

Tierra
I really want to like this, but I really need to cut down on some shows and right now the only thing that interests me in this is Arturo and Sofia. NONE of the other stories interest me at all. I'm giving it a couple more episodes and then I'm out.

I like Tierra a lot. At least the story moves along. The character I like the best is Patricia, the nightclub singer.

I started watching Senora Acero but had to give it up because it had too many killings.

Tierra
I had it on tonight and it seemed a little more interesting. I was doing other things so I'll go back and watch my recording for more detail.

Duenos-
I will probably watch at least the first couple of capitulos. I like Kate del Castillo but I don't like narconovelas. I am taking a break from recaps and anyway I can't recap a 10pm novella.

Tierra

I am watching this. It's ok. I like Arturo and Sofia, too. I am mostly interested in how similar or different it is from Pasion de Gavilanes.

Tierra

I'm still watching, too. I've seen the other versions, but I find this one surprisingly entertaining because of the main couples.
Sofia and Arturo are OK, they have a nice chemistry, I just wish that Arturo would smile more often, he always has that sour face, even when he's with Sofia.
I'm really enjoying Andrea and Samuel, and last night's episode finally brought something more to their story.
He's obviously still wrapped up in his little fantasy with Patricia, but I'm patient, I can wait.:)

Tierra
Yes! Arturo needs to smile more!

Tierra,
Smile more & burn that f---ing hat!!!

Señora Acero
I didn't pay close attention last night, so the biggest thing I remember is Sara agreeing to traffic cocaine herself so the kids can stop doing it.

Miriam explained to the DEA guy that mulas carry drugs. Camellas carry money.

Teca got to Cornelia in jail. Her lawyer delivered a note and a guard left a dead chicken under her pillow and Teca himself visited and told her to keep quiet.

Felipe seems to have fallen from grace (*snort*) and I'm assuming he's dead.

Sara, every little bit of information helps. Thank you.
AG

Jean, you well deserve a break from recapping! You, NovelaMaven and Mauricio deserve Medals of Honor, or maybe the Croix de Guerre for your labors on Reina de Corazones. I especially appreciated the ones that showed what Telemundo broadcast in one color font and what was actually broadcast in Mexico in another color. It made it very easy to "pick up the pieces".

Anyway, there's narconovelas and narconovelas. I don't like all of them, but I do like some of them.

If no other volunteers surface, I may not recap either. Of course, it's a week when many people are away, so who knows what could happen when it actually begins to air.

Since I haven't really recapped since En Otra Piel, I feel fairly "fresh".

Tierra

Adriana Noel: "I just wish that Arturo would smile more often, he always has that sour face, even when he's with Sofia."

Sara: "Yes! Arturo needs to smile more!"

Variopinta: "Smile more & burn that f---ing hat!!!"

I think someone was reading here:

Aarón Díaz, Arturo, is smiling!! More smiles than what some here so perfectly call his fart-hating sneers last night! His sleep visit with sister Alma seems to have made a breakthrough, then his time with Sofia. It is that same sweet smile I got to like seeing on him in Los Mis.

We'll KNOW they are reading here if he soon burns "that f---ing hat!!!"

¡Feliz año nuevo a todos!

I like his hat, and is it necessary to be so crude, LADIES?

Señora Acero
I'm sorry! I said Teca came to visit Cornelia in jail, but I realized last night that that was an avance (when I wrote it.) I'm so sorry. I was just commenting quickly about what I remembered happening.

I am still watching Los Miserables, even though I now hate all the characters! I will see it through to the end - unless they start chopping it up like they did with Reina de Corazones.

Los Miserables...

I see everyone is getting in line to slap Daniel, Ha!

and no more passionate nurse look for Lucha,
she looks pretty tough with her short hair prison stare.

Nuria knows about the video on the laptop, don't know why lily keeps her around, but I guess her new job is to make Lucha suffer while she is in prison.

Dr. Carlos should have been a bit more diplomatic when choking on Deyanira's wedding proposal.

ok, so Abel is going to go with it's their baby to make his dad happy, how long before this gets back to what's-his-name.

ah, so Pablo plants suspicion on Debra with Helena, and Octavio, who reads the note says how can you believe this, and her reply, how can you believe Lucha killed your dad.

Tierra de Reyes...

Arturo had another white hat when he was at the rodeo, that wasn't so bent up it tucked into his shirt collar, good to know he doesn't sleep with it on, ever notice how he always has that red hankerchief, when he works he wraps it around his left wrist and uses it to wipe the sweat off his face.

Flavio sure is a behind the scenes guy that keeps stirring the pot.

it was interesting listening to Patricia and Samuel talk about their future, they really aren't clicking on anything.

Señora Acero

did el Teca explain getting in to see Cornelia because he was her cousin, Fabián Ríos, ha!, (who is a fellow Telemundo actor playing leonardo on Tierra de Reyes)

I'm not following anyone's logic here, doesn't Cornelia knowing where the skimmed money was point to her as the thief, and it not being there, doesn't that then indicate Sara has it, and wow, the tunnels seem like the best way to get across the border.

I hope the vet gets to keep the money, and where do you get one of those money counting gizmos, five bags full would be good enough count for me.

I keep thinking Felipe would jump up, and I'm not seeing Berta just giving up, and Josefina was sure getting an earful listening to Manuel and Sara on the plane, hasn't she been part of everything bad that has happened to Sara?

did anyone catch all that the note said that was on Sara's door? I'm thinking that was a tip from the DEA guys to get her rattled.

7 more shows!

Señora Acero
LOL!! He *did* say Fabian Rios and I had to laugh. Fabian also played Jose Luis' "competition" for Ana Leyevska in Dama y Obrero. I thought that was funny. It had to be on purpose.

I don't get the logic either and I'm just going with it.

I had the same thought about the note.

I can't believe there are only 7 episodes left!! I feel like there are so many things that need to wrap up. Oh my...are they thinking second season???

About Manuel. I DO NOT like the idea of he and Sara being in love and I am NOT buying it. It doesn't feel right to me at all. They should have just left it alone and stopped with Elio.

Where are the Tierra de Reyes recaps?

Los Mis
Finally caught up with the weekly synopsis, still no captions though.
Daniel just doesn't believe in (innocent until PROVEN guilty) what an ass.
By that smile on the twin's face after he dismissed his staff, it must be Diablo taking his place, so he must have killed his own brother.

What happened to Radames?

LOS MIZ:

Vario, Radames got bonked on the head with a liquor bottle by Deborah who is pi$$ed that she's been disinherited by her pa. She is livid, furious about having been rejected all her life and I think she intended to kill him. For a while it was touch'n'go but he's actually starting to regain memory and so he could possibly finger her for the deed. Right now, Pablo is taking the fall because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time trying to rescue the kid, what's his name (Radames Junior) who was abducted from the hospital after an emergency appendectomy. (All the niños have gone missing in this story).

But Deb is up to no good; I think (again, no captions & I've missed a few). Seems she's forged some docs with the unwitting help of her son that will allow her to sell some property and get outta Dodge. I think Octavio is starting to be "on to her" after a spell of pigheadedness that ran a close second to Daniel's. He's spied her negotiating with a buyer in a restarurant.

Sorry I've been away. The holidays were rough. My neighbor and good friend lost her daughter in an accident 3 weeks ago. She would have been 25 years old yesterday and the grief has been unsupportable. I can only stand by and help how I can.

How long is this trainwreck supposed to run anyway? I'm in for the long haul, because I actually like Los Miz and Tierra didn't do it for me. Just FELS in a different wrapper, and the plot is tedious. I'm pretty thrilled about Aracely Arambula as an actress (well, a TN actress) She's got some chops, esp in this role.(I was expecting a shaved head, but I guess that would have been technically unfeasible. The cold prison stare could get old if she can't modulate the performance, but she sure gets the point across in every scene). I only ever saw her in that pirate show (Pasion? or am I all mixed up) and didn't think she could do much. But this is a whole nother kettle of soap.

Tierra
I agree this one is only a slightly better rehash of FELS & I don't even like any of the cast as well as FELS.
And FELS had Capricho the wonder horse.

Tierra

Variopinta, I soooo agree that this is better than FELS! I like the fact that almost all the protas are fresh faces, they might not be great actorsur, yet, but I'd rather see them then experienced actors who are pushing 50'sur and are playing 30 year-olds.

Desire, I don't believe that we have any recappers for this, yet. Maybe becabecause the other versions are still so fresh in our minds.

Deb, Samuel and Patricia are so not made for one another. He is a good natured, educated boy, with some financial troubles, she used to be a straight up prostitute until afew episodes ago. I do like the actress, though and there is something tragic about the character that she manages to pull off nicely.
Flavio is a sneaky fellow, but Irina is not easy to handle, so I think they make a balanced pair.

I hate Arturo 's hat, too. Soooo much! He couldn't even take it off while riding bare chested on the beach.
And on to the point of totally unrealistic love making places - where did Arturo keep all the blankets and the pillows? Everyone else was out and about while they were there, it was barely mid -afternoon.

Tierra
Adriana Noel
"- where did Arturo keep all the blankets and the pillows? "
That's easy, under his hat.!!!!

I don't remember the younger bro in FELS having an affair with the dancer. I do remember that Fernando (Leonardo) did.

Tierra
In FELS, the most ridiculous was 50 year old Eduardo Yañéz as a virgin. Jorge & Pablo weren't that far out of line. IMO
At least Telemundo doesn't have to put up with Los Mejia mierda.

Tierra-
So far they are keeping pretty close to the Pasión de Gavilanes storyline. As has been noted, Leonardo/Fernando is a lot more evil as is the bar owner. The friendly policeman is a new character as is the gun-running storyline.

In PdG Sofía/Norma never had sex with Leonardo/Fernando even though they slept in the same bed, which was ridiculous. I don't think Sofía/Norma ever even told Arturo/Juan that she had been raped. If she did, it wasn't a big deal and we never found out who the rapist was. They started having sex earlier in their relationship and Sofía/Norma didn't have any scruples about cheating on her husband.

The Samuél/Patricia storyline is pretty much exactly the same as the Franco/Rosario storyline in PdG.

The housekeeper, Soledad/Eva, is a lot more feisty in this version and in PdG we didn't find out until much later the circumstances in which she gave up her daughter, Verónica/Ruth, to the childless couple.

Señora Acero
It was very satisfying to see Josefina stand up for herself and take Berta down a peg. I wish she had done that with Felipe.

Señora Acero

also interesting was that Josefina came, not to say her goodbyes to Felipe, but to bring Berta, Sara's offer, to pay for an expensive operation that would allow Berta to walk, of course she couldn't accept it, Berta's whole life cracked like a piece of glass.

Señora Acero
Josefina said that Sara would pay for the operation in exchange for Berta's silence. Silence about what? Sara's illegal dealings? Isn't that a moot point if the Tucanes de Tijuana are writing corridos about Sara? I must have missed something.

And you were right about it being the DEA guys that left the note.

Tierra
I thought I wasn't going to watch any more, but I was wrong. I'm a sucker for white clad vaqueros on horses. Hat optional.
