Thanks!

(Is anyone else having to prove they aren't a robot EVERY time they comment???)

Thank you for giving us this page, NovelaMaven.

Just briefly, passing through for now, saw your question, Sara. Yes, I have, every time.

Sara - yes, every time I comment on Caray!, I have to prove I'm not a robot. I loathe the ones where I have to type in long words that don't make sense. My iPad's auto correct has it's own ideas about what that "word" should be, and I have to pay more attention when I'm commenting while on it. Auto-correct is my enema.

For the longest time didn't have to and now it's back. Oh well. At least it's numbers.

Sara - I am envious that you haven't had to type in the crazy not-a-robot stuff. It is a real annoyance but I understand the reason for it.

Tierra
This continues to grow on me. So they introduced something last night and I was wondering if it was different from PdG or FELS (and I may have completely misunderstood.)

The father of Arturo, Flavio and Samuel worked with Fernandez trying to infiltrate a criminal gang (I didn't catch it...arms dealer?) He and his wife died in a mysterious accident that Fernandez believed was an assassination, but the case was closed.

Did I understand it correctly?

And Cayetana's idiot friend with the boy-toy boyfriend--Was that the second aunt somebody from Dama y Obrero? (The name has escaped me.)

Tierra

Sara, yes, you are correct, the background on the brothers' parents was never too big in the other versions. The whole police investigation angle is new.
Fir now I'm sticking with the story, too, mainly because I really like Arturo and Sofia's chemistry. I don't care much about Flavio or Andrea, I wish they would get paired so I can FFW, but that's not the case.
Another difference is that in the original Patricia's handler (the guy who showed up when she was with Samuel) was just a random bar owner, who was a good friend of Leonardo, too. Here he seems to be a powerful baddy.

Another huge difference (someone else can correct me if I don't remember this correctly) - in Pasion de gavilanes (I don't remember about FELS, though), the brothers ended up being well liked by all the family, Cayetana included - that is, until all Hell broke lose.

Another difference - original Leonardo never hit on any of his siters_in_law. I'm going to stop here with this because if I go on, I'm getting into spoiler territory.

Tierra
Thanks Adriana! Flavio is growing on me and so are Samuel and Irina (sp?)

The guy playing Patty's handler is going to be tough. I can NEVER take that actor seriously. I am NOT buying the bad guy act.

Tierra

I'm sticking with this for now, but mostly for Samuel and Patricia.

Did you guys watch Friends? Remember that episode when Joey is explaining how he acts when he needs to respond to something dramatic? He imagines that he's smelling a fart. That's what I remember every time "Arturo" gets angry, like he's mad about the fart. And then I laugh and it kills the dramatic mood.

Why doesn't Irina (she's the hussy sister, right?) tell Sofia about he slime ball of a husband? Cayetana might not believe her, but Sofia might.

"He imagines that he's smelling a fart. That's what I remember every time 'Arturo' gets angry, like he's mad about the fart."

That's exactly what I've been thinking since episode one. Every time he's onscreen I think "fart fart fart". I hope he chills out soon. Fartface is not pretty on him.

Señora Acero

but I liked the original Joaquín.

Señora Acero
Just saw Monday's episode. I liked the old Joaquin too. And my DVR did something screwy and I missed 5ish minutes - - which apparently is 6 months in Señora Acero time!

LOS MIZ parte uno

[sorry I've been away and some of this may be out of sequence, but I've been trying to deal with some family tragedy and I've just watched a couple of you tubes trying to catch up. I did notice last night that they splashes a nueva etapa screeen at us. not sure what exactly they said, "definitiva" or "culminante". But I definitely got the idea that we were winding up (or winding down, but definitely moving on.So....

Pablo tries to rough up Radames. Elena breaks up the fight & they back off to their respective corners for the time being

The lost cellphone showing footage of Lucha smooching Cesar has gotten into Liliana’s hot little hands and she shows it to Genaro (who still has an idea that she thinks he’s hot stuff)

Olegario, in his neat prison khakis, behind bars, plots with some insider henchman.

In the prison yard, the bad gang tries to unseat el Diablo, but he rallies his allies and proves he is top dog for the time being.

Back at headquarters, Daniel makes a case with the DA about el Diablo.

Abel blows off taking his dad to the hospital for a cardiac checkup with TODIMC, but lily the snake insinuates herself into the situation.

Some sibling rivalry at the hospital when Lily shows up with dad. Lucia ain’t happy. Ignacio tries to make peace. Lily has her own peace offering, a cup of coffee. Lucia doesn’t want to accept it. (is it poisoned?, Viewerville is led to suspect). Lucia drinks the coffee and dumps the empty in the trash, where Lily retrieves it (not unnoticed by the pesky nun, Sor Milagors), places it with great care into a plastic bag and later brings it to Genaro, who sends it to a lab.

Leon arrives at the hospital to spring Evaristo; some flirty talk, but we know where his feelings really lie.

Evaristo and Leon see Genaro at the hospital and try to chase him down, unsuccessfully of course. (he is supposed to be on the lam)

Lucia gets the bad news about dad’s heart condition from the cute gay doctor (TODIMC).

A ton of flower arrangements and an expensive watch are delivered to Lucha at her house. They are not from Daniel. Daniel (the idiot) is vociferously accusing Lucha of having an affair with somebody else because of the flowers and expensive watch she received. He is convinced it has something to do with the murder of his brother, that somehow el Diablo is behind it all (and he’s not entirely wrong, is he?)

Lucia denies and denies and denies and digs herself in deeper with each denial. But she’s not wrong either, because she is not Olegario’s lover, nor does she know who sent all this crap to her house. She’s (rightfully) pi$$ed because again, Daniel has chosen not to believe her side of the story (well, she hasn’t told it yet, but …) and, if he refuses to believe her and always wants to think the worst, well, then they have nothing further to say to each other. This on the heels of some nice family togetherness with the kids and all kinds of sweet hope for the future. Pobre de Roxanita, at this rate, she’ll never open her mouth again. She had finally mustered up the courage to call Daniel “papá” but nada más.

LOS MIZ parte dos

She kicks him out of the house while Deya and Roxi & Memín look on sadly. Lucia comforts the voiceless Roxi. Daniel paces his office re-reading the note that accompanied the flowers, more & more convinced that Olegario is behind it all.

Lucy & Deya commiserate in the kitchen; they figure out it must be Liliana who is trying to separate them. Lucia also commiserates with her loyal sibs (Chelo, Elena, and the niece? what’s her name) over at the Duran household.

Liliana pays off some peon in the park. Clearly she is the one who has set up the whole flower & expensive watch delivery, so as to discredit Lucha and pave the way back into Daniel’s arms (she thinks)

Ignacio drinks some jamaica (hibiscus flower) water that his loving (not) wife offers up with some more nasty talk, but the scene ends tenderly with her showing signs of coming around. Lucia barges in and accuses her mother and/or the mother’s daughter of being the only ones to try to discredit her.

Daniel shuts himself into his office at the police station, rebuffing Pablo’s request to talk.

Some sidewalk antler-bashing between the sloppy cop Evaristo and the uptight, closeted Abel threatens to reveal the truth about Adriana’s non-virginity.
Adriana under pressure from Abel confesses to kissing Evaristo, but nada más. He’s pi$$ed and rushes off (let’s try to guess where)

Lily brings the incriminating cellphone to tippy Deborah who is still a guest at the rehab facility.

Genaro tries again to score with Lily, but she puts him off again. He wants to know what she did with the cellphone pix. She says she put them into circulation with the right people and now all she has to do is sit back and watch “el show”. Tippy Deb meanwhile is packing her bags at the rehab. She’s gotta get outta there, and after bonking the nurse (who stupidly tries to detain her) over the head with a flower pot, she makes her break.

Genaro & Lily discuss the DNA results from the coffee cup and they confirm that Lucia was the unknown gal present at Cesar’s death who they are looking to pin the blame on.

In the jail with el Diablo, in conference with Daniel, the flower & reloj delivery is denied. Diablo denies writing the note but insists he loves his Lucha

Somewhere in this epi, Memin gets Deya to promise to become his mom, just as Lucha has become Roxi’s mom.

I apologize if this is all out of sequence. I’ve been away all week dealing with family tradedies, now just trying to catch up by watching a few YouTubes and I think I’ve got the gist of it. Also, I believe, although I could be wrong, they splashed a “nueva etapa” message at us. I don’t remember the exact wording: “definitiva”?, “culminate”?—well, something to indicate that we are moving on to the next level. Are things winding up (or winding down)? No idea kiddos, but let’s all hang together and see what happens.

the Miserables

wow, thanks Agnes, you are so good at this, love your slant.

I think it's "etapa decisivo" (decisive)

let's see, César's cell phone was found by Octavio, who is living in his room, carried to Radamés' castle and picked up by the kid and shown to Radamés who calls Lily over, who shows it to Genaro before giving it to Déborah at the manicomio, oh wait, it's just a high security alcohol rehabilitation place where you get rid of your relatives, who sneaks out to get Lucha.

and why is Genaro out walking around, bad cops have a special place in the eyes of good cops.

Vicky, is the niece, bungy jumper.

Jamaica water, thanks, you can only imagine what I thought that was, but wow, "It is similar to a tart cranberry tea drink."

I was thinking that el Diablo was playing Daniel with the new flowers/watch info, like as if he did it, because he was loving how it was driving Daniel insane, but later when his santa, Lucha, showed up, he spoke only truth. (give us a sneer and flash that golden tooth Olegario)

ah yes, Memin and Roxi are my favorites, he wants Deya to adopt him because if Lucha did he would be marrying his sister, this little guy has it all figured out.

and Déborah barges into Lucha's.

oh and I would like to say Agnes, I am wishing that you, and those that you love,
do have a merry Christmas.

Los Mis
Tks mucho Agnes. I try to catch up with this on Telemudo's weekly synopsis, so it really helps to have a recap. Anyone keeping track of Liliana's body count?

Tierra de Reyes
Thanks for that link, deb. I am really enjoying the show.

Thanks to all for posting. I could see it was a sad time for this community.

Thanks, Agnes, for updating on Los Mis. I am losing ground there, because of the move to earlier time, and not anymore at midnight, when I had to watch it. Online works, but very behind in it. So your recaps have done very much to keep me up.

Hoping all have sweet holidays.
