La Malquerida, capitulo 97. 01/09/15.
Acacia
goes to Ulises office and wants to talk. She needs to clarify that
what happened the other night was a misunderstanding. But he says
he's tired of all the misunderstandings. She begs him to let her
talk but he's not feeling it. He takes her by the hand and tells her
that every time he has her close, it destroys him. And knows the
same happens to her when he's around. I see that your marriage to
Manuel has happened and in the name of the love that we once shared,
I ask that you no longer seek me out. Even love has it's limits and
I have reached mine. He asks her to leave and no longer wants to
know anything about her. She agrees but asks him to forgive her and
leaves.
Arturo tells him Carmen that he and Luisa are in love and want to quickly formalize their relationship. Carmen thinks they are too young but believes they will be happy together and congratulates them. But asks why the rush? He says he wants to experience every moment of life with Luisa. Carmen wants to celebrate by having a dinner. They need to celebrate Ulises going away and Arturo and Luisa's formal relationship. She asks Luisa to invite Rosa.
Acacia comes home and finds roses and balloons all around the living room. Manuel is hiding and comes out to hug her. He presents her with a ring. Esteban comes up on this scene and eavesdrop. Manuel gets on one knee and asks if she likes the ring. She says she doesn't deserve it but he disagrees. I will treat you like a queen. She doesn't want him to keep saying those things. They make her feel worse then she already does. Perhaps they rushed into this marriage. Esteban smiles upon hearing this. Manuel gets frustrated as she tries to explain the pressure she was under when making this decision. She feels bad in dragging him with her. He tells her not to get upset over it. You didn't make me do it, I wanted to because I love you. She wants to end things before they advance more down this path.
Hector is not in agreement with Ulises running so far away from his family to work in another country. After so much pain and anguish, I just need some peace replies Ulises. The client is very important in this town and doesn't want anyone to know he frequented the brothel. Hector wants them to tell any clients they see that a client ratted out Danilo. You have to let us know if anyone comes in contact with you. He gets a call and finds out they killed Efrain in jail. The girls are scared.
Ale becomes startled when German enters her room. He apologizes. He says Lizzy told him what she said to Ale and is sure that she feels bad after the conversation. Ale understands why Lizzy said those things. I would have done the same thing. I told her not to worry. As soon as I am well, I will move far away from here. I understand your doubts and only got close to that idiot because you were scared of what you felt for me. That's true says Acacia. Perla and Julianita visit Ale and warn her to be careful around Rubio.
Acacia rushes into Ale's room and says Esteban lied to her again. He only said he accepted her wedding to Manuel to buy more time in order to take money from her mother. Ale points out that she tried warning her. Acacia can't believe she believed him again. She swears she will not allow him to touch her again. I told him not to come near me until he has ended things with my mother. Ale wonders if he will actually do it. Acacia doesnt know but the creepy thing is, she found out he's been spying on her. Danilo is on the phone with Rubio and warns him to be loyal. The hotel clerk brings him the paper and food. Danilo looks at the paper and tells the guy he knows where the girl that he seeks revenge upon is located. Obviously she's being protected but they will also pay. Johnny comes next week to bring me money so I can start on my plan. So soon. Very soon. The guy asks if Rubio is really loyal. Danilo believes so. Perla because of love and Rubio because of money. They are going to help me make Ale suffer.
Ale tells Acacia to calm down and show no fear. It will be worse for you if you do. Are you sure you asked him to leave your mom so that you can push him away from you too?
The policeman and Hector come to pay Rubio a visit. There has been reports that he has collaborated with Danilo Vargas. If you don't want to be arrested right now, you will tell us everything you know.
Esteban pays a visit to Acacia's room. He walks to her bed quietly telling her they need to talk. Instead of Acacia lying there, it's Ale who gets frightened and shouts for help. Rubio tells Hector and the policeman that the only thing he told Danilo was the girls were taken to jail. Hector asks if Danilo inquired about Ale. Rubio admits he did but isn't an idiot and didn't reveal anything. The policeman says he can't tell Danilo anything except what they tell him to say. Rubio understands. His brother died doing bad deeds and his cousin, Memo followed the same fate. I don't want to go down the same path they did. Especially since I have a clear path with Luisa thanks to Manuel. I wanted to tell her what I told you earlier says Esteban. If she still wanted to go on with the wedding that it was okay with me now. Cris points out that he could have done this in the morning. He just wanted to give her the surprise this evening that he had fixed things with Acacia. I thought it would make you happy and we would have a great evening together. But now I see things didn't end up that way. I think I will go sleep somewhere else tonight. He leaves and Cris looks confused.
Luisa tells the girls how wonderful it was yesterday with Arturo and his family. Ale asks if they know yet about the baby. Ale tells Acacia to calm down and show no fear. It will be worse for you if you do. Are you sure you asked him to leave your mom so that you can push him away from you too?
The policeman and Hector come to pay Rubio a visit. There has been reports that he has collaborated with Danilo Vargas. If you don't want to be arrested right now, you will tell us everything you know.
Esteban pays a visit to Acacia's room. He walks to her bed quietly telling her they need to talk. Instead of Acacia lying there, it's Ale who gets frightened and shouts for help. Acacia has just come out of the bathroom, turns on the light and asks what he's doing in her room. He apologizes to Ale for scaring her. He just had something important to tell Acacia. He leaves. Ale says she knows men that are blinded by passion and doubts he will complete his promise. Are you going to tell your mother what happened here tonight?
Hector tells Rubio not to deny it. Rubio wants to know what he gets in exchange for it. Your freedom shouts Hector. Why are you loyal to a man that has given you nothing in life? Rubio agrees and says he only answered Danilo's call because he is fearful of what he will do to him. He's been calling to ask about the going on's around here. He is not using a phone that is his. Hector wants to know exactly what Rubio has been saying.
Esteban comes back into the bedroom frustrated and Cris notices. He apologizes is about to explain when Acacia comes in and asks why he did that. Cris wants to know what the heck is going on.
Rubio tells Hector and the policeman that the only thing he told Danilo was the girls were taken to jail. Hector asks if Danilo inquired about Ale. Rubio admits he did but isn't an idiot and didn't reveal anything. The policeman says he can't tell Danilo anything except what they tell him to say. Rubio understands. His brother died doing bad deeds and his cousin, Memo followed the same fate. I don't want to go down the same path they did. Especially since I have a clear path with Luisa thanks to Manuel. Why would I want to jeopardize everything? I make good money here and the woman I love lives here.
Acacia tells Cris that Esteban entered her room. He apologizes for not knocking before entering. He realizes he frightened Ale. Cris wonders why Ale was sleeping with her. Because she is still scared that Danilo will show up and instead Esteban scared her half to death. Cris understands and wonders if Ale is doing better now. Acacia says Ale's fine and tells Esteban this better not happen again. She walks out and Cris lays into Esteban. She reminds him that Acacia is a woman and not a little girl. You cannot enter her room without knocking. Of course and it won't happen again he replies. Cris wants to know why he entered her daughter's room at these hours. Why are you asking me in that tone he asks. It just seems strange that Acacia can barely stand the sight of you and yet you go and enter her room at these hours replies Cris. I wanted to tell her what I told you earlier says Esteban. If she still wanted to go on with the wedding that it was okay with me now. Cris points out that he could have done this in the morning. He just wanted to give her the surprise this evening that he had fixed things with Acacia. I thought it would make you happy and we would have a great evening together. But now I see things didn't end up that way. I think I will go sleep somewhere else tonight. He leaves and Cris looks confused.
Luisa tells the girls how wonderful it was yesterday with Arturo and his family. Ale asks if they know yet about the baby. Everyone knows but Arturo wants Ulises to be here when the baby arrives replies Luisa. Where will he be asks Acacia. Ale asks when they last spoke did he not tell her that he will be moving to Chile. Acacia didn't know but hopes things will go well for him. She leaves.
Rubio goes to the corner store and asks Lizzy to bring him a cold beer. Perla and Julianita run into him. Perla asks if he is celebrating the fact that Danilo hasn't killed him yet. Rubio wants them to leave him alone but wonders how they got out of jail. The girls lie and say Norberto helped them out. But not to repeat it since he doesn't want anyone to know especially his wife. Perla wonders if Rubio talked to Danilo lately. She needs to know what to do now. Julianita says she needs to work so that she can send money to her family. Norberto sent a little but not enough. He asks the girls for their numbers and Perla writes it on his hand. She makes a comment that he smells horribly. He ignores this and tells the girls to hurry up and fix things with Danilo because he doesn’t want to be in the middle anymore. He leaves.
Acacia brings Manuel to the church and has decided to go ahead with the wedding. This makes him happy and he thanks her. She also wants to get married asap. You know Esteban won't let me leave the house until we are properly married. I can't stand to live too much longer under the same roof with him. Manuel agrees and they kiss.
Esteban tells Cris that Campasano received the money and he has to go today to Mexico City to finalize everything. Should only be for 2 or 3 days. Cris is happy with the news and would love to spend a couple of days with him alone. He would love for her to but thinks she should be with Acacia right now. He still distrusts Manuel. She thinks Acacia will just be planning for the religious wedding and he suggests she help her. I will hardly have any down time while in Mexico and will feel bad about not being with you. I promise the next time I go, it will be more for pleasure and less business. This seems to appease Cris.
Rubio gets a call from Danilo. He says Perla and Julianita are out of jail. Norberto helped them out. When I told Perla you wanted to talk to her, she became very excited. Danilo admits he was stupid when he became obsessed with Ale while he had the loving Perla by his side. Rubio gives him Perla's number.
Acacia tells Cris that she has chosen this Saturday for the wedding. The only thing she asks is that she not tell Esteban until the big day. Cris asks why not? When he finds out, he will be furious. And why exactly this Saturday? I'm doing it so that he won't get upset replies Acacia. He says he's okay with the wedding now, but I am not sure he's convinced. But if he is okay with all this then it shouldn't be a big deal. You both have shown me that it's not the party after the wedding that matters but what the novios feel for each other. I want to marry with all my heart. I am very fortunate to find the love I have always wanted with my best friend. Cris thinks this is all crazy but gives her blessing.
Perla and Julianita are doing nails. Julianita is not happy that she can't talk to Norberto. Suddenly Perla's phone rings and it's Danilo. Have you missed me he asks.
Rosa is getting everything prepared for the wedding. Esteban comes back and angrily asks Cris what the heck is going on? Acacia says she marries Manuel in the church tomorrow.
Perla lies and says she misses him. Danilo is happy to see that both she and Julianita have shown him loyalty. We see that a policeman is in the room as Perla is talking with Danilo. She asks him where he is. I can't tell you yet he replies. I just wanted to listen to your voice. But soon we will see each other again. Perla puts Danilo on speaker phone and says she doesn't know what to do without him. She needs guidance. He says soon they will be together and he will compensate her for everything that she went through with Ale. He hangs up and the policeman leaves to tell the lead investigator. The girls hug each other.
Luisa asks Ale what will she tell her baby when he gets older? Ale thinks she will have it figured out my then. Luisa says soon it will become noticeable and I will have to tell Cris that I am pregnant. Rubio is eavesdropping when this is said. Ale doesn’t think she will have any problems with Cris. Then how are we going to explain to everyone that the child is Manuel's? Ale advises taking it day by day.
Esteban angrily grabs Cris and wonders how she could have hidden this from him? First of all replies Cris, I did it because my daughter asked me to and I wanted to avoid any problems. And secondly...but doesn't get to finish because he angrily says they wanted to fool him. You are now helping your daughter destroy her life. Cris reminds him that he put the condition that she marry in the church before she could leave the house. Yes, but I only did it to buy some time he lets slip. Time? Time for what asks Cris. Is there another reason why you are opposed to this wedding that you are not telling me?
Rubio is outside drinking when Luisa approaches. She gets onto him for drinking when there is so much work to be done. He tells her she's now dead to him and not to bother him. I don't like to be fooled. I gave you everything. My love, did what you didn't like for me to do. All for nothing. Why? Why did you choose Arturo when I would have done the same for you? I would have taken charge of the baby of yours. I know you are carrying a child.
Cris says she's waiting for his answer. Esteban lies and says he was hoping it would give her more time to think about things. It takes months to plan a wedding. I thought you were going to help convince her to change her mind. Well she wasn't going to do it replies Cris. They have already married civilly and tomorrow through the church. Whether you like it or not. I am tired of all your negativity. First you hated Ulises and now Manuel. Now you want to put down more obstacles to detain my daughter from marrying tomorrow and I want to know why. Acacia enters the room on this last bit of the conversation and tells her mother it's not worth arguing. Cris points out that she doesn't understand Esteban's attitude. Now you see what I wanted to avoid Esteban asks Acacia. He apologizes. He wasn't sure that Acacia really loved Manuel but can see he was wrong. Acacia says she's decided and asks that he not oppose the wedding anymore. He agrees and will not say another word. Cris hopes so. Acacia points out this is her last night and doesn't want anyone to be fighting. Esteban agrees and says he will escort her down the aisle. Cris says that's not going to happen. Acacia says it will be her grandfather who has the honor. Esteban sees that they have everything planned out and leaves the room. Acacia thanks Cris for all her support.
Rubio is in the bar getting drunk and going on about Luisa. The bar keeper tells him to just accept it. Don't do anything stupid. I promised Luisa I wouldn't do anything but still....The bar keeper reminds him that Manuel is the son of Norberto Palacios. Do you know what kind of trouble you can get in? Rubio suddenly gets a call from Esteban. He is ordered back at the hacienda. Rubio asks if there is a problem. Not yet replies Esteban. If it's the last thing I do, I will prevent that wedding tomorrow.
Juliana is walking in the halls and overhears Ale telling Acacia how happy she is to be with her family. Acacia says Ale is an admirable woman. You have gone through so many things. Life has taught me what asks Ale. In all the time that Danilo forced me to prostitute myself, the only thing that gave me the strength to endure is the idea of one day being able to escape. Juliana hears this and is shocked. She walks off. Ale didn't think she could ever change her life. She wanted to die. And in her darkest hours, she met some wonderful people. And now getting all dressed up for a dinner party. Acacia admits she never thought she would be marrying Manuel. Ale says there is still time to change her mind. Acacia wants to recoup her life and her happiness. This is the only way to do it.
Juliana in a rage runs into German and says she overheard that “girl” Ale admit that Danilo is her pimp. Ale walks up as this is being said and decides to hide and eavesdrop. Did you know this she asks.
Esteban walks into Acacia's room and says she betrayed him. She doesn't see it that way. She hasn't told her mother anything. Then I will he replies. You wouldn't risk the chance of not having any money she replies. Why are you doing this to be he asks. Because I have no other choice says Acacia. I am giving you a choice to leave this place with some dignity. When I get back from my honeymoon, I expect you will be gone. Otherwise I will tell the truth.

I'm currently watching Alma de Hierro and Alberto Estrella is in it. His name is Angelito and is a contrast to Danilo is many kind-hearted ways. I often find myself LMAOing at him with glasses on and at one point the family was having dinner and because potatoes he had nothing but pink underwear on.

Uli seems sincere in finalizing his distance from Acacia. Forever. I do believe that her mistaking him for Este at her window was the final straw. And although he is a very loving person, if she told him the truth about Este, he may forgive but would he ever forget? I want him to stay and have Itzel finally reappear.

When Esteban was lying to Cris about finally deciding to not interfere with Acacia's plans, I could have barfed at the look on his face when he hugged Cris right after telling her this.
When Esteban walked into Acacia's room and used that lovey, dovey tone with her, there was NOTHING about the tone of his voice or the way he was dressed that would have made Ale think he was "just coming to talk to Acacia". Does this guy really think these women are that stupid?!
I know this sounds so crazy, but the Esteban actor has an oddly proportioned body (yes, I have my faults, too). I couldn't figure out until last night what it was that I find so distracting about him, but when he was in his undershirt and pajama bottoms, it finally hit me. He has quasi muscle man arms (NOT like the ones David Zepeda has!), but has a head that seems smaller than the rest of his body. Plus, I could really see how much this guy slouches around. He is not very attractive in his skivvies, that is for sure.
Anywho...
Rubio kills me with those super pointy toe boots that he wears. They look like elf boots! I have seen some bands on TV whose members wear these outrageously pointed toe boots! How in the world does anyone walk in them?!
I love the red/teal off the shoulder number that Acacia was wearing. I will gladly take that dress off her hands. :)

I don't give Acacia a pass, the girl knew what she was doing when she got in. She was accustom to yanking the chain of young guys that knew no better and she was in control. With Esteban she lost control, so much so she betrayed her mother. She was successful at bringing him down when she broke things off initially, only to lose badly, when he returned to Cris. This is a tit for tat relationship (and financial assets) power struggle (to the death) between those two. Manuel, Ulis & Cris (and Cris's money & property) along for the ride. Acacia now realizes his play and giving it back. She set him up perfectly and he the dope.
Thanks for the recap Gloria. Fatima, I too have noticed the physical weirdnesses of the Esteban character's physical being and especially, the way he usually holds his head in an elevated, arrogant, "I'm looking down on you cuz I'm better" fashion. Makes me wants to slap him silly.
From the previews, it looks like someone's gonna die or be incapacitated so that the wedding can't happen. Just 5 more episodes for the truth to come out? I sincerely hope it will. Esteban going into Ack's room in the middle of the night and Cris finding out about it is pretty much the last straw. Cris, when WILL you start connecting the dots?

Fatima, I have an unsettling feeling that there will be no penalty for Acacia at all. My thinking is she should end up alone, channeling all the energy she has expended thus far in crying, wringing her hands and overcome with self pity into trying to atone to Cris and her grandparents for what she has done.
That said, there has been a definite shift and it appears she has now fully rejected Este. Many here have been commenting Acacia will indeed end up with Uli. And as much as I hate to say it, it did appear things were starting to move in that direction. I'm not quite as sure after last night though. Uli seemed fairly determined to end it.
As tofie noted, she has known what she was doing all along. The few pangs of guilty conscience were not enough to dissuade her.

I really enjoyed the scene last night with German and Ale. You could just feel the chemistry between them. I don't know exactly how, but they need to end up together. Writers, don't mess this one up. Ale and German have been through too much. They deserve a happy ending.
I also really like Luisa and Arturo together. He is such a cutie! I hope I see this actor in more novelas. I don't think I had ever seen him in another one.

Thanks, gloria. My main concern is that somehow it is revealed that Este killed Alonso. It burns me that he continues to stalk Ack and that Cris is still clueless and ready to hand more money to him. It is starting to get painful to watch . Cris will have to see Ack and Este in bed together to catch a clue that the relationship between these two is in no way familial. I guess that Cris is such a good person that she cannot imagine that these two are lying to her at every turn. Ack, How can you not warn your mother about this horrible guy?

Diana, yes, it was pretty clear last night that Acacia has made a turn in her character, but she should not be allowed to get off scott free. It's just not right for that to happen. She KNEW darn well what she was doing and she KNEW she was playing with fire. she most definitely deserves to be alone at the end.
Uli deserves so much more. I so hope he meant what he said when he told Acacia he just didn't want to hear about her anymore. I hope his relationship fatigue with her is a done deal.

With a lot of impending violence building and probably will be starting this Monday, It was so nice and heartwarming to see Luisa and Rosa welcomed into the Gallardo? family Friday night. I especially liked that little part of Friday's episode.
Luisa will now have a sweet kind and loving home that she can/will feel a part of. No one in that family will ever look upon her as "the servant girl." No one anywhere ever should have to grow up being told that you aren't as good as---you're just a servant. I know that Cris and Acacia didn't ever tell her that but Rosa pounded it into her and Juliana?? Well, I just get sick thinking about her snotty attitude. Earlier today I was anxiously waiting for Gloria's part two because I wanted to know what made Juli so angry when she overheard Alejandra talking to Acacia. But then I thought about it and decided, who cares when Juli gets angry? Juli has spent half of her life mad and angry so why would this be any different?
Well now, nose in the air Juli knows Alejandra's background and of course Alejandra is low classed trash in her eyes. And to think that her son German was sweet on that trashy woman. Now I like others, can't wait to hear what German says to her. Will German be sweet and nice to mommy dearest? I'll be counting the hours and minutes waiting for this one.

Is it wrong I forgot Ariadne was in El Color de la Pasion? She played the role of Adriana; a mature, married mother and wife was depressingly murdered. I won't say who did it though.

Ok, I just watched Eli 106 online, which ends with Este scaring Ale half to death in Acacia's room. Yeah, his explanations are pretty flimsy for coming into Acacia's room in the middle of the night in the dark, and whispering my love in her ear. He really does think all these women are dopes. But I jumped right along with poor Ale every time someone blasted into her room without knocking. Seriously, I think there should be a guard at her door.
German took Ale's hand and was getting up in her personal space again. She's the one who had to pull her hands away. I think when he said he'd never be able to thank her enough, he was about to say that he never stopped loving her. I know he doesn't want to hurt Lizzy, but...

-Hector told Uli that Memo gave the police Patricio's location in Northern Mexico. The police there are about to capture him. Uli says he will inform Itzel and her grandmother.
- Up I calls Ale and they catch up. He tells her about Acacia's visit and that he wants nothing more to do with her. Ale agrees to let it go. Uli tells her he is for sure taking the Chile job and has asked Hector to take care of her for him.
-Carmen and Uli react with joy at the baby news. Everyone hugs and gives congratulations. Carmen is over the moon about her first grandchild and Luisa looks guilty.
-Manuel puts the ring on Acacia's finger anyway, and urges her to wear it, even as she decides what she wants. Acacia shows it to Cris, JC, and Elena, and JC is upset Manuel didn't formally ask for her hand in front of the family.
- JC goes to see Norb and Manuel, and straight up accuses Norb of just trying to get his hands on Benavente. He does agree that Manuel truly loves Acacia, but says he will be keeping a close eye on him. Manuel offers to sign a prenup, and Norb jumps in to say they can deal with that later. After JC leaves, Norb asks Manuel if they married with assets separated or joint assets. Learning it was joint assets makes Norb very happy. Manuel points out that Cris would actually need to die for Acacia to get the hacienda and Norb says everything in time. Manuel looks worried and disgusted.

ITA with you all on that red and teal dress Acacia was wearing. The skirt had the red detailing on the inside too. With the white purse, it was like a homage to the Mexican flag.
While it was fun seeing Acacia toy with Este, I can't help feeling dread because she doesn't know she's toying with a cold blooded killer. This may seem like a game, but it's a dangerous one.

Art is fine telling their child when s/he is old enough that he is not his/her bio parent, but does Luisa want to reveal who is? Louisa is unsure. It will be hard to explain that Aunt Acacia's husband is their father. Art recommends they take things day by day. They won't reveal her pregnancy to all until after Acacia and Manuel marry in the Church.

Here are some other missing scenes from the rest of episode 107:
-Manuel breaks the news to Norb and Juli about the wedding on Saturday. Juli is of course upset that this has ruined her opportunity to throw a huge society wedding. Norb doesn’t care. He wants them married as soon as possible. Manuel says he now intends to use the money for the business to buy an apartment for him and Acacia to live in San Jacinto while Acacia is in college. Norb doesn’t see why Acacia needs to go to college now that she’s a married woman. She should be taking care of the house, and they should live at the finca. (Oh, Norb! It’s 2015, not 1915.)
-There’s a montage scene of the days passing. Wedding prep; Elena and Cris altering the wedding dress to fit Acacia; Uli in Mexico City, thinking of Acacia; Acacia running into Hector after picking up her dress from the cleaners—she tells him the only reason she didn’t invite him to her wedding is because of the Esteban-Cris awkwardness, and tells him that if her grandfather weren’t escorting her down the aisle, she would want Hector to escort her. He hugs her and wishes her well.

-Manuel breaks the news to Norb and Juli about the wedding on Saturday. Juli is of course upset that this has ruined her opportunity to throw a huge society wedding. Norb doesn’t care. He wants them married as soon as possible. Manuel says he now intends to use the money for the business to buy an apartment for him and Acacia to live in San Jacinto while Acacia is in college. Norb doesn’t see why Acacia needs to go to college now that she’s a married woman. She should be taking care of the house, and they should live at the finca. (Oh, Norb! It’s 2015, not 1915.)
-There’s a montage scene of the days passing. Wedding prep; Elena and Cris altering the wedding dress to fit Acacia; Uli in Mexico City, thinking of Acacia; Acacia running into Hector after picking up her dress from the cleaners—she tells him the only reason she didn’t invite him to her wedding is because of the Esteban-Cris awkwardness, and tells him that if her grandfather weren’t escorting her down the aisle, she would want Hector to escort her. He hugs her and wishes her well.

Fatima..ha...I completely agree that people who are not good thinkers are dangerous--I know some. they are a dsngernto themselves and others. Rubio is a wild card. now that Luisa is lost to him will he move to a darker place? , or perhaps knowing that Memo is alive will convince him to do the right thing. Only one more week. then, I must find a new novela.

Susanlynn- It has been cold here in DC too, but it was even more so in NYC. Luckily, we spent much of the day inside the MET, but anytime we went outside I questioned why I ever came to the East Coast. :)
The other thing that clouds Rubio's judgement and causes him to do/say stupid things is his drinking. Get a few tequilas in him, and he sings like a canary. This episode alone, he was in that cantina three times saying too much about Dan, Luisa, and Manuel.
I am anxious to see how the writers will wrap things up. If Cris and Ack never find out that the guy they both loved killed Alonso, I will be very disappointed in the writers. I am also curious to see who will be left standing among the bad guys. I see death for Dan And Este rather than prison.

Luisa and Arturo have decided to keep the babies father a secret at least for now but will the truth come out sooner than later?

Anyway with Acacia's wedding on the way for Monday, it doesn't look good for Manuel.

I forgot that Vivi told us in one of the cut scenes, it was said that Ulises was going to Itzel's village to inform Itzel and her Grandmother about what has transpired. I am still holding out hope for a Itzel/Ulises pairing. I sure don't want to see Uli back with Acacia. Ulises is an

Susanlynn,yes, Rubio is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, despite that machete, which is what worries me. As you noted, his drinking is a serious problem. He just runs at the mouth. He's going to say the wrong thing and it is going to get him in trouble.

1-Give us another Jacinto Benavente adaptation (preferably La Noche del Sabado)
2- Rubi is being re-played this year and was on Galavision last year oddly. Barbara Mori is back into novelas. Is that enough hinting towards a sequel to Rubi?

La Noche del Sabado- Imperia is a ballerina and eventually the prostitute of Prince Miguel whom she is madly in love with. After the death of her daughter Donina, she loses touch with reality and follows Miguel in making dreams reality.
If Cris invited Hector, I don't think Esteban would care, except for the fact Cris made a decision to do it without telling her husband. I think it would be very disrespectful if Cris agreed to have Hector escort Acacia down the isle (just another Acacia dig at Esteban)

Yeah, I also think it's enough for the moment that Arturo told Carmen that he and Luisa are getting married and having a baby. He and Luisa still have too much stuff to work out about how they are going to proceed as a couple and as parents before dragging everyone else' drama into it. Because there WILL be drama. Carmen hates Manuel, the baby-daddy, because of the TWO false accusations he made against her son. Carmen and Juli hate each other because Juli tried to steal her man. The baby-daddy is marrying the mother's BFF/unofficial aunt of the baby. The paternal grandparents want the baby aborted. And that's just the beginning of the crazy drama this kid's existence will create. I get why Luisa and Arturo want to keep this under wraps for the moment.
Cutting these episodes is just ridiculous! There is too much going on for this nonsense. Uni should have just put Hasta on hiatus for a week and shown 2 hour episodes of LM.

Diaz/Acacia's outfit and look when she attended the 100 year celebration at the Herdez Company with her mother last Friday. I agree that Acacia looked ravishingly beautiful. You don't get the label of goddess attached to your name easily and Acacia really did look like a goddess come down to earth Friday night. Victoria Ruffo looked super also.
A great looking mom and daughter for sure.

Gringo- I like Luisa's look too, and like that her style is different than the same one everyone else has with the glam blow out. And unlike everyone else here, I don't mind the bright lipstick on anyone. It's in right now. Just like the "nude" lip was all the rage a while ago. Too bright can look clownish, just like too "nude" can look like a death pallor. But just the right amount of brightness can be fun and/or sultry.
Luisa had to get knocked around quite a bit to learn her lesson about Manuel. She got knocked around a LOT and paid the consequences with heartache, major humiliation, and even LIFETIME consequence in the form of a child. I say, she did the crime AND paid the time. Now let her have a happy life by the side of a good man. She's older, and much wiser now. She almost lost Art by waiting too long, but he was smart about the way he won her over-- slow and steady, calm and drama-free.

Vivi has said that Robo will probably win best novela and she probably is right. Boyer and Rulli
are awesome and will be hard to beat. I have seen La Malquerida from it's start and have seen the second half of Lo Que La Vida Me Robo. Robo had a great cast along with great acting but if I had a vote it would go to La Malquerida without hesitation. This great story, super cast Oscar quality acting, family rivalry, love and hate, uncontrolled lust, the devil in DevilDan and on, and on, and on. How much more can you put in a story? Nothing more I say, it's all here. It hasn't ended yet but it's on my all time favorites list already. Well that's the way I feel anyway. I hope that some out on the patio agree with me.

are awesome and will be hard to beat. I have seen La Malquerida from it's start and have seen the second half of Lo Que La Vida Me Robo. Robo had a great cast along with great acting but if I had a vote it would go to La Malquerida without hesitation. LM is already one of my all time favorites. I have a feeling it may ascend even higher on my list with one caveat. If Ale and German do not end up together, I reserve the right to change my mind. :)
The acting has been stellar, the writing taut and fresh with no certainty as to how things will turn out.
I cannot wait until 10.

Vivi, I am a fan of red lipstick also. I like Luisa's bangs and thought she could turn her sweet looks into sultry and sexy very quickly, which she did when she and Manuel were "romancing".

Gringo- I also like this story more than I did Robo. It's pulled me in and I find it more engaging and even more believable.
From reading the telenovela critique sites, it seems a reason this tn took a while to pull an audience in Mexico was partially because people were freaked out by a mother-daughter rivalry, but the main reason was actually because most people were impatient for the triangle to start! They felt the story moved too slowly to get to the point where Este and Acacia betrayed Cris. I, however, don't see how the writers could have justified Acacia betraying her mother in such a major way right off the bat! This is the kind of thing that needed a slow build up, till it got to the point where it's all blowing up right now. I think the writers and actors did an excellent job. I don't know why it never picked up an audience in the States.
I understand that the slow start in Mexico was why Uni decided to condense episodes at the beginning. But for the life of me, I can't understand why they are doing it at the end when things are the most exciting and when this was raking in huge audiences in Mexico.

I will miss this great group after this show bends. I do not think that I can stand going back to LA Gata because it has gotten really crazy and makes no sense. if I watch the new 10 pm show I will have to record it.

Gringo - I like Luisa and her look. At first her hair looked stiff, but now it's bouncy and has swing - a nice cut. But I don't believe Luisa is in love with Art. That's my objection to her. She's going into this marriage because, hey, Art is a great guy and what woman in her right mind would turn him down? If Manuel gets free of Acacia tomorrow and, miraculously, wants Luisa, she will be yearning to get with Manuel. Granted, she's got good character and would not want to hurt Art and maybe would stay with him anyway.
Diana and Vivi - Great rundown of the baby's connections and why telling Carmen the truth would cause complications. I had forgotten about the Carmen-Juliana bad blood. But I do believe most close brothers, like Art and Uli, would share if their fiancé was pregnant by another guy. Uli can be counted on to be discreet and not make a big deal of it.

Art is like Ale in that when someone tells him their secret, he doesn't tell anybody. Luisa didn't give him permission to tell anyone, so he didn't, not even his brother.

oh dear, gringo, I FULLY understand why you love Luisa's looks (everyone else for that matter), but I think Niecie said what I didn't formulate very well which is really why Luisa's bangs and red lipstick were getting on my nerves: she does not love Arturo. She knows she has "passed GO" in a HUGE way. She is probably feeling relief, etc, etc. THAT is what is bugging me about her "luke".
I DO think that if Manuel were to suddenly man up and do a huge turn around (highly unlikely)Luisa probably wouldn't think twice about dumping Art.

She had always been honest with him. Painfully so.
She did seem to change her mind quickly, granted. I am sure that she doesn't want to lose him and am choosing to believe that love has at least a very small part.
I am watching the clock like a kid who is waiting for summer vacation to begin. I think tonight is going to be very pivotal. I hope Uni's shearing scissors leave us something:(
