♥ Mi Corazón es Tuyo ♥ Lunes 1/12/15 ♥ #124 ♥

Capitulo 124: The Name Game

Prologue on Mount Olympus:

Have you seen Father?” asked Apollo. “I've been looking for him for the last few days and he's nowhere to be found.”

I suspect he's up to his usual old tricks,” said Athena. “He could be down on earth among the mortals.”

Oh, that's trouble we don't need,” said Apollo. “The last time that happened – “

Don't remind me,” said Athena. “We'd better see Hera. Maybe he's with her.”

They went into the palace toward Hera's boudoir, only to hear her voice calling out.

Zeusy? Zeusy? Where are you?” Hera emerged from her boudoir, disheveled and not quite looking like herself.

Oh, no. It finally happened. She's losing her mind.”

Zeusy? Zeusy? Where are you hiding?”

That's too dangerous. We have to do something now.”

You're the patron of physicians. That's up to you. You must have a potion for this.”

I'll work on that right away. Meanwhile, don't let her leave the palace. I'll send Pegasus down to help look for Dad by himself so Hera can't find him. Nothing worse than Step-mum on the warpath.”

No necessitamos los refritos....

Margarita's Apartment: León told his mother and Reina he obtained the loan to buy a small house so he could marry Fanny. Mauricio was all excited about this until León explained that Fanny has to accept first.

Hospital: As a nurse tended to Hissabela's baby, Fanny, Fernando, Ana, and Nando looked in through the big window and talked about how Diego Nicolás Lascuráin Vásquez de Castro is a great name. Nando took out his cell phone to make a video. Edith noticed that something was bothering Ana so she asked if everything was alright. Ana told her that she had had hopes of having a baby with Fernando.
No time to discuss this extensively because Sebastián arrived along with Angel, who clearly was on duty. Sebastian identified Isabruja's baby right away, saying he looked just like her. Angel congratulated Fernando and asked him and Ana to come aside to talk to him. That left Sebas with his older sibs at the window. Nando commented that the baby had the same coloring as Sebas.

Angel explained that Sebas' X-rays showed that the ligament was perfectly alright. Ana was pleased that Sebas could dance again. Angel seemed to have some hesitation in permitting this, but did not say that Sebas shouldn't. He did ask to be invited to the show, which Ana was pleased about.
Yolanda arrived at that moment and Angel was not pleased to see her. She realized that and asked whether they had all forgotten that she was the baby's grandmother. She then realized that Angel was the pediatrician Hissabela had mentioned. Fernando let her know he was there with his family to see his new son, so she made a sarcastic remark and left. Ana was relieved at her departure.

Sebas, Fanny, Nando, and Edith were still looking into the nursery at little Diego. When Yolanda arrived they all backed up and she looked at them saying, “I don't have ebola. Bombos”

Then she looked into the nursery at her grandson and started the baby talk. The poor little fellow kept on crying.

Poor little guy,” said Hermes. “He has no idea where he came from.”

I hope he gives them what they deserve,” said Eros. “When he finds out he's only a tool that Isabela wants to use to manipulate Fernando, he won't be happy.”

Meanwhile, Isabruja cried in her room about being alone.

Excuse me, but you did this to yourself,” said Aphrodite. “You have violated all my principles about love. You will pay and with something more valuable than money.”

Margarita's Apartment: Reina speculated that a small house would be a major shock to Fanny. León talked about how she has changed due to her current studies and her work at the charity house. Margarita became concerned,
Mauricio talked about how Fanny's family's home is huge with ten bedrooms. León explained to him that he needed to keep quiet about what they were talking about because he wanted to plan a big surprise for his proposal to Fanny. He specifically mentioned not to tell Luz, whom Mauricio made a point of saying he liked. However he did agree to keep the secret. Margarita didn't like this at all.

Lascuráin Mansion: Sarai was trying to read when Luz and the twins burst in with the tablet, saying that Nando sent a video of their little brother. Alicia held the tablet and looked as everyone made their comments. One of the twins said something about him being in a box, the other saying he was all wrinkled. Alicia asked about the name and Luz announced it. “Now, we're eight!” Alicia announced. Siete barked and she said “Ok, Nine! Don't be upset, Siete!” The little guy barked and the twins petted him affectionately.

Downstairs a delivery arrived for Manuela. Bruno signed for it and picked up the wooden box with much effort. A large box with holes on each side. With comic difficulty he began carrying the box to the kitchen, where Manuela was talking to the new employee, Zeus. He was enjoying a strong mid-morning coffee when she asked “Who in the world names their son 'Zeus'?”

Please, he's the boss of the Olympic gods!” was the answer.

Olympian,” she corrected as Bruno arrived, shoving the wooden box inside.
Siete came running in right behind him. Bruno was quite flustered and a dog investigating was the last thing he needed or expected. Manuela looked with irritation until Bruno explained that the delivery was for her. He pointed to the envelope taped to the top of the box. She opened it to find a note from her mother, saying “This is for your Christmas dinner.” Just as she had said that last word a loud gobbling was heard coming from the box.
Bruno and Zeus pried the box open just as Luz and the twins arrived to reveal a turkey. Bruno comically explained the bird's identity. “But it's alive,” said one of the kids. They stared at him.

That's our dad in disguise,” said Artemis. “But why would he use his real name?”

Mortals are funny that way,” said Hermes. “In that country they name children after the god they worship and nobody thinks it odd.” He took a sip of nectar. “Anyway, somebody has to go down there to keep a better eye on things.”

I think he's got his eye on the cook,” said Eros. “She's pretty hot.”

That would be just like him,” said Artemis. “Will one of you pass the nectar? I need a drink.”

Hospital: Fernando was talking with Nick on his cell as Angel examined the baby. He asked whether Nick had reconsidered, then agreed they would speak no more of this (obviously of the divorce). Realizing that it was five in the morning in Switzerland, Fernando suggested they adjourn until another time. He ended the call and Ana let him know that Jenny was very upset by the divorce petition. Fernando explained that his father came to that decision when he was still a patient in that same hospital, thinking that Jenny would be happier with a younger man. Ana wanted to speak her mind about that but stopped herself.

Street: Jenny and Johnny walked through a street market, eating roasted corn on the cob. They stopped to buy a Christmas tree, which Johnny negotiated the price for and told the dealer he would pick up later.

Hospital: Ana spotted the baby being carried by a nurse headed in the direction of Hissabela's room. Fernando resisted the idea of entering that cuna de amargura, but Ana told him he had to go. She promised to wait for him. He dutifully went and she then turned her attention to the other babies.

Yolanda was looking through the TV Guide for a novela to watch when the nurse came in to cheerfully hand the baby to his maternal unit. Yolanda was thrilled to pieces as the nurse said that Dr Altimirano said it was okay to bring him in. She encouraged Hissabela to hold the baby.
Hissabela was still crying in self-pity as she took the baby. Fernando entered and commented that the baby looked just like her and said that if she liked the idea they would call him Diego Nicolas. Yolanda sounded out the whole name. She l liked it.
Hissabela said she did, then asked Fernando if he wanted to hold the baby. Yolanda took out her cell phone to take pictures. She got him to stand near the bed and lean over, as though he were a happy husband.

Yolanda, you are getting on my nerves,” said Aphrodite. “I know what you think you will do with that photo. You are going to suffer along with your daughter.”

Lascuráin Mansion: The kids talked about what to name the turkey. Luz rejected “Ocho” because that was their little brother. Manuela told them they shouldn't name the bird. She and Bruno explained that the turkey was meant to be their Christmas dinner.
The kids were sad at that, saying “pobrecito.”

Ana and Fernando arrived and Fernando began sneezing again. His medication was upstairs. Ana asked if he wanted her to get it, but he said “No, there is a strange animal in the house.” Ana became excited at the idea that the children had found a kitten (which will make this author root for her all the more), but Fernando didn't think it was a cat. Ana showed him the tree and talked about how beautiful it was and how Bruno and the kids worked on it.
He told her how it made him think of last year and how his wife had died only a couple of months later. She talked about how happy she was to finally have a family Christmas after years of Christmas in an orphanage where all she could think of was all the people who had families to enjoy it with.

Fernando told her he would make it his business that this would be her happiest Christmas. She would never be alone again. They kissed only to have it interrupted by gobbling, followed by more sneezes.
They went into the kitchen.

What's that turkey doing here?”

His name is Nueve,” said Luz.

Nueve?”

Because Diego Nicolas is Ocho.”

Pleased to meet you, Nueve,” said Ana, as she approached and petted the bird. Zeus and Manuela watched in confusion.

Later Fanny knocked on Ana's door and found her studying English online. She sat down to talk. Ana expected to hear about Fanny's situation, but Fanny wanted to hear about Ana and Fernando. She was happy when Ana admitted that they had kissed.

At the same time Fernando was thinking about it when Nando came into the library. He tried to tell him he was looking for papers.
Nando didn't buy it and Fernando fessed up that he was madly in love. Both Ana and Fernando seemed deliriously happy.
Ana and Fanny talked about the revelation, Fanny finally saying that 2015 would be the Year of Truth. Ana was still afraid of Fernando's reaction. She was trying to live for the moment and enjoy Christmas for this year now that she had her mother and Fernando's family.

Fernando told his son that Ana was the woman for him and asked “Do you think she would agree to marry me?” Nando was thrilled to pieces.
Ana talked about how thrilled she was at the kiss; they were like adolescents again!

The following morning Sebas woke Sarai up so they could practice. He was still wearing the brace and Sarai told him she would be ready in half an hour.
Fernando went down to the kitchen and sneezed again because Nueve was in the kitchen, gobbling as usual. He asked Ana if she slept well and they began flirting... until Nueve reminded them they weren't alone. Ana went back to the coffee pot to pour for them when Fernando's cell phone rang. Yolanda was telling him he had to be at the hospital later and she had sent him the photos. When he showed Ana the photo that included Hissabela she said “Well, you could crop her out.” He started talking about how Hissabela seemed to have changed when she saw the baby. Ana wasn't buying it. Fortunately,
Luz arrived in her pjs, yelling “Hello” to the turkey.. Fernando picked her up and kissed her. She asked if she would soon see her brother and he told her she would. She suspected something had happened but Fernando didn't admit to it before leaving. Luz noticed how happy he seemed. Ana told her that this was because her brother was born, but Luz didn't buy that.
She was sure her dad was in love.

Hospital: A woman in a business suit was in Hissabela's room for the purpose of registering the baby's birth. She asked for their identifications, which they handed over. She asked for the baby's name, which they gave. She repeated it, saying it was a good name.

Did that actually echo in Enrique's head? He was lying in his bed when the same nurse who had previously attended to him entered to check up on him, saying “Good morning, Señor Enrique.”
At the sound of his name he opened his eyes wide. The nurse was surprised, so this was probably unexpected. She shined a light into his eyes and wondered whether he could hear her. His thoughts indicated that he could hear her perfectly. She headed for the door, calling for the doctor. He remained in bed, lying as still as a new zombie.

The clerk informed Fernando and Hissabela that the birth certificate would be available soon on the internet. He thanked her and escorted her to the door. Hissabela then told him he would need to deposit a significant amount of money for things for the baby as in baby bottles, formula, diapers, clothes, and repeated this list. He told her not to worry and he would take care of it. Little Diego kept crying through all this until Fernando took him from Hissabela.
The baby stopped crying for a few moments as Fernando said something about him being like him. Hissabela and Yomama winked at each other behind his back.

Lascuráin Mansion: Johnny and Jenny arrived to have lunch with Ana, surprised at the unusual new pet. Johnny helped himself to the food, leaving out bread because he had to stay in fighting shape. They talked about Chicago and Dorofeo and how his money is being laundered. They talked about possibly getting enough evidence to get him arrested which would close down Chicago and free Ana.

She was pleased at this as she took an ear of corn over to Nueve.

In the parlour Sebas and Sarai started practicing. He took a wrong step and had her turn off the music for a few seconds. Then they tried another move.

Later, Ana stopped in the library before going out allegedly to see Jenny. He wanted to go with her because he had never seen her house. She told him anytime except now because she expected to have a long talk with Jenny. He was afraid for her safety, but she told him she was taking a cab.
Finally she went out, stopping for a second in front of Estefania's portrait to apologie. Fernando came out of the library a moment later, just in time to see her go out the door.

Ana, you have nothing to apologize for to me. I understand,” said Estefania.

Don't worry,” said Aphrodite. “I'll help. You chose Ana for a good reason.”

Chicago Club: Ana was requesting Christmas vacation from Dorofeo, which made him laugh as he counted his piles of cash. He said no until she pointed out that those days were slow at the club. He finally told her she could have her two weeks but that night she would give the best farewell show ever.
She agreed and went out to the pole in a Playboy Club version of a female Santa suit. She danced in her white dominatrix boots and wine velvet costume as Fernando stood in his parlour looking at the portrait of his first wife.

As she finished her routine she was thinking that if Chicago disappeared she would never have to tell Fernando. It was time to unmask Dorofeo.

Apollo returned to the royal boudoir. “Here's the potion. One dose should bring her back to her senses.”

It better. That Isabela and her mother are getting greedy again. We can't let them bleed Fernando dry. Will it mix with grape nectar?”

It should.”

Athena carefully poured the potion into Hera's chalice and added some wine. She then handed it to her and watched her drink. Apollo held his breath for a moment.

Hera, are you alright?”

Yes. Why don't we watch the rest of I, Claudius? For a bunch of barbarians the Romans are so fascinating.

Finally done. Enjoy!

Thanks, Urban. The recap, screen caps, Olympian exchange with Estefanía and Olympian commentary are all wonderful. "I Claudius" indeed! : )

Cute turkey! Cute episode! Very enjoyable.

Jarifa

I wonder how on earth one could keep a turkey as a pet. Their noise would be very irritating!

Excellent as always, Urban. Your considerable efforts are so very much appreciated. :))

Fatima

Nurse Unibrow, that is all.

Hey, this is a telenovela magical turkey. It didn't even need a diaper! Too funny.

Jarifa

I missed everything tonight watching my John Deere Ducks get plowed under. It was perfect Duck weather here in FloriDuh, I'm surprised the Quackers didn't do better. I'm not surprised that this show managed to stretch nothing new out for 60 minutes. The recap is farrrrrrr more entertaining than the show. Thanks again UA.

Urban, another stellar recap. Thanks, now I can take a break and not watch another hodrum episode with a wild turkey running around a kitchen no less.

Anyone else notice how fast Sarai seems to have gotten over her mysophobia ?

Who's going to watch "Que te perdone Dios"?

Looks a bit grim, so not me.

Jarifa

Thank you UA, above and beyond. You seamlessly weave the commentary.

Finally a brief mention of Nic and he'll be there for Christmas.

Finally a brief mention of Ana's contract but relying on the downfall of Doroteo's club and business holdings just so she won't have to lie anymore is a big request of Santa Clause.

It would be the best solution to Ana's problem for the moment. If Johnny can do something to bring him down that would be best for everyone.

This was just wonderful UA! The imagery of a bewildered Hera had me giggling in my office.

The chauffer has got to go...and heavens, if that was the Zeus from the mount, he could have done a bit better in choosing his human form. The guy is a doofus.

So are we surmising that Isa might actually have warmed to little Diego? (Frankly, lovely child, but I want the industrial size Diego back). That poor thing--what an awful gene pool it has to deal with.

Ok, so Ana dreams of taking Doro down. She does realize if any of that group tried, her "secret" would still come out if it was done right. If she and her co-horts just try to blackmail him that would be the stupidest idea I've heard. If they go to the police, her secret would still come out I would think. And if they go there where Doro would threaten the kids, etc. I will be so pissed.

Leon, Leon, Leon...Haven't you learned to listen to your mother?

Daisynjay

Great recap and mount Olympus commentary, UA...
one little detail... Fernando winked at Ana and Luz was asking why he winked. Ana came up with the excuse that there was an eyelash in his eye, and he was blinking to move it around before leaving. When Fernando confirmed to Luz that he was headed to the hospital to see the baby, he looked at Ana and said 'I love you both' and this is why Luz and Ana smiled at each other as he took a sip of the coffee, liked it so much that he took it with him, (outside cameras seemed to have one last wave goodbye to Ana from what we could see Ana was doing and looking that way).

and also when they first came in the door Fernando assured Ana that there was a new animal in the house... Ana asked 'hey! maybe it is a cat!' to which he replied 'Oh, heck no! no cats!' and when they got to the kitchen and he sneezed again Ana asked him 'it is a turkey! are you also allergic to feathers??' LOL!

going back to the convo at hospital, Fernando told Ana when he hung up with Nico that he had already expressed his disagreement to Nico but there was not much more for them (Fer and Ana) to do than that... to which Ana replied that Jen was suffering 'un titupuchal (sp?)'(a whole lot) and it was not fair, but then added that 'its not your fault, Fernando... look at you! the new dad!' (or stte) to lift his spirits up again

with sooo many wonderful natural trees on the lot, why did Johnny and Jen have to buy the ugly looking silver one with the odd placed lights and ornaments? they said something about it lasting for several years and being cheaper in the long run ... but GEEEEZZZ!!!

I wonder if a feather allergy means all feathers or only those of specific birds. It must be horrible to be allergic to pet-type animals.

I agree that Zeus could have chosen a better human form, but he's done weirder things than this.

Gracias, Marta.

On another note, is anyone thinking that Enfrique has been faking all along since his last collapse?

I don't expect Fanny to rationalize the behavior she is seeing in Ana and Fernando as adults in love, but Nando must be thinking that his father has got int his weird adolescent obsession trance... LOL!! dont get me wrong, Nando is indeed THRILLED and TICKLED to see his dad this happy, but is this the behavior he expected to see in his father being in love for 2nd time??
Also, when Fernando told Nando that he is more in love than ever ... some part of me is saying this is a bit cruel to Nando if he thinks of his mom.

I too wondered if Ricky was faking it but thought the nurse said there was not response when she flashed the light in his eyes, though he thought bubbled he could hear. Perhaps I understood wrong.

Ana is looking for a miracle, just to keep from telling Fernando she lies to him. She did seem bothered a bit more last night than usual, going as far as asking for time off over the holidays. I am in agreement, she leaving that job & club, makes the problem go away and could bury it. Don't see how she/the posse take Doreteo down before Fernando pops the question, so does she tell him no.

She might. This series has how many episodes to go?

Not to mention the ugly possible wedding scenario of "If there is anyone present who know any reason why this couple cannot be joined in matrimony..." ending with Dorofeo entering the rear door and not only outing Ana as a pole dancer but saying a few untrths as well.

Thanks very much, UA. Amusing, creative -- just great.

A few interesting twists and a kiss. I guess patience is required as these possibilities unfold . . . or not!

Thanks for the wonderful recap! The Gods always have good opinions!!

When Fer mentioned asking Ana to marry him, it made me think he may do it on Christmas. And I think she might say "no" and then tell him he needs to know something first. Forcing her hand in telling him about Chicago.

The wink between Isa and Yomama for fooling Fer makes me want them to suffer so badly!

I guess Fanny and Leon can't just live together and not get married? Too young and she is in school. Lenin was right about what her future would most likely look like if she got married now.

I was hoping that since we have known almost from the beginning that the baby isn't Fers that once it arrived this story line would wrap up. But I guess if it did, there would be no reason for Isa to be around any longer. How many episodes to go? 75?

I think Dorofeo was playing a prank on Ana when she asked for time off during holidays and told her anyone can have time off BUT YOU!! but then told her that he had planned to close the club for a couple weeks anyway, so we should expect the next few episodes WITHOUT Ana having to sneak out to the club.
Also when Fernando was staring at the Fanny Sr painting, he had tears in his eyes, possibly some kind of farewell moment where he is looking for a confirmation or permission from Fanny Sr for his relationship with Ana? we see in previews that he swears to Fanny Sr that he will not let Ana go... (i saw all kinds of red flags there... we know there will be some trying times when he learns Ana's secret... will he push her away and then remember this 'promise'?)

I hated that Isa kept telling Fer in the 'YOU HAVE TO' tone asking him for money for the baby expenses... and this is when she and Yomama winked at each other...
Isa is counting on Fernando never learning the truth... I agree that sometime in the near future there will be some event when the baby will need blood or some other way to try to bring Fernando into the equation of parenthood and this is how it will come out that the baby ain't his.... we know Fernando and Diego have A+ blood type since Fernando told the EMTs this over the phone... so is there any blood type that is definitely not related to A+? or cannot come from it?

Gracias, Urban and Olympians, for another wonderful recap!

Oh, heck no. Please spare Nueve! I will protest to Univision if the tn writers 'slaughter' a character/pet, whom the children have named!

Urban - I also suspect Enfrique has been cognizant for awhile.

Just when I pity Yomama-bruja, she behaves odiously. Blech.

Surely Angel will soon realize Isabruja is the pregnant woman who called him (I forget her alias).

Freeky has nothing to gain for his own if he tells Fernando the truth of the baby daddy... but he can blackmail Isa for as long as he wants since she DOES have a world to loose if he spills her beans.

As far as Ana's secret:
Isa would not hessitate to tell Fer if she finds out.
Freeky would only tell Fer just to make his life miserable.
Dorofeo would only tell Fer if this ensured that Ana would never leave him... but he runs the risk of Fernando (once he gets over the initial shock) taking Diego's posture and fighting him for the illegal 'control' he has over Ana.
Also, if Dorofeo tells Fernando and Johnny and Dana and Jen find out it was him, he would lose all of them... even Ana herself.
So I doubt Dorofeo will tell Isa, too much at stake for him.

Also, didn't the clerk say the birth certificate would be processed within 15 days? Does that mean Fernanduh has 15 days until the child is legally declared his? In other words, does Fer have 15 telenovela days for the truth to be discovered before he assumes legal responsibility for the baby?

Marta:
Don't laugh too hard; but I once knew of a friend whose mother bought a plastic Christmas tree, hung the lights on it, then the ornaments.

Right after Christmas she put the whole tree (with lights and ornaments still on) into a big plastic bag; up to the attic it went until the next Christmas when she brought it down again. She repeated this ritual over and over again for yeats.

Her kids wouldn't have any friends come over during the holidays because they were so embarrassed. The whole neighborhood laughed about it for ages, and no one could get the lady to change her mind about this one rather weird habit.

Her alias was Inez.

I don't think Nueve will end up on the dinner table. However, they may have to give him to a zoo if his gobbling becomes too annoying. Not only that, but won't he want to look for a hen?

I suspect that if Hissabela is type O and Enfrique is type B that would rule Fernando out as the father and yes, it would make sense for Angel to find out that Hissabela is the woman who asked for his business card. That will put the kibosh on the possibility of any romance between them.

As for Fanny and Leon living together WBC, I don't see that happening. That would freak Fernando out and he has enough to deal with, not to mention that I don't think Fanny is ready for that either. I don't know if she has to finish school first (which would be preferable) or give it another year.

Good point EB. Legal responsibility cares not about DNA

Martaivett: I think Freeky does have something to lose by not telling Fer about the baby. I think Freeky wants this baby and seeing Fer take care of it should drive him crazy.

Ecuador: It would be nice to know that Fer will find out the truth in 15 days but I'm sure that since he was lied to, the 15 days isn't an issue.

Isa is VP of a huge company but she asks Fer for money as if she is a whore on the street.

I am really interested in what everyone's theory is about what happens between Ana and Fernando when he learns the truth about Chicago, other than the obvious fact that he will feel like a fool for being left out of such a vital part of Ana's life that everybody but him knew about.

If he loves her as much as he claims he does, then does he just "get over it".

If he throws her out, then should that fact tell Ana he really didn't love her as much as he claimed he did. That he perhaps really preferred the "educated" stylistic version of Isabruja.

If he lets Isabruja back into the mansion or his life in anyway then what would justify Ana's getting back together with him after he realizes his mistake for the second time.

The writers have spent so much time on Ana's hurt feelings and trust issues, I just don't see where the track goes when "Fer finds out about Chicago".

Enfrique might want the baby. I've seen it happen with female friends who either didn't lean that way or were completely ambivalent about motherhood change their minds upon becoming pregnant shortly after the deaths of their mothers. This could happen to men.

However, I think we can all agree that Enfrique should not try to raise a child. He is homicidal and a perv. He needs to pay for his crimes. Another thing to think about is if he did and lived long enough for the baby to become aware of things like Venganza, he'd raise him to try to wreak vengeance on Fernando's children later on. I've long since given up hope that Enfrique's father left anything behind explaining why his company went under.

Tks Urban, great recap. I really love
the screen shots.
Nueve is NOT going to end up on the dinner table, I'll bet my meager fortune on that. Sth I have been wondering for awhile, why was Siete named that, there are 7 kids, so he should have been named Ocho.

When Fernando finds out about Chicago there are only two possible reactions:

1. He will be totally reasonable and ask Ana "Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" or

2. He will freak out, especially upon finding out that Diego, Nick, Bruno, Fanny, and Nando knew all along. Ana might run before he can tell her to leave and return to El Oro with Soledad.

I don't think he would want Hissabela back in the mansion, though. His kids won't stand for it. Even Bruno and Manuela won't; I'm sure they'd threaten resignation over the prospect of being abused by her and her Mother From Hell again.

I think Enrique would love to brag to Fer that it is his kid just to make him suffer for supposed injustices to his father & let him know what a fool he is.

I have no doubt Fernando will freak out... and they have made a point of letting us know that Fernando does NOT know where the 'casita' is...
so I am with UA, he will freak out, especially when he learns that everyone was in on the secret (at least everyone over 16 yo) EXCEPT for him, and he will not be nice to Ana for a while. But while he gets a lot of coaches talking him to think it over, Ana will probably not believe he can change his mind and escape/dissappear with Soledad... so it will be hard for him to find her and appologize to get her to come back, esp if Dorofeo helps Ana hide and then keeps her hidden, even against her will.

of course, meanwhile we will have coaches FOR Ana and Isa trying to trash Ana (with lies and twisting the truth, of course) enough for Fernando to take his time to change his mind.

No doubt, which makes him no better than Hissabruja. I can't see him being willing to truly take responsibility for this baby.

Both Enfrique and Hissabully have done enough things to earn at least ten years' jail time. I think the baby will end up being adopted either by Fernando and Ana or Jenny and whomever she ends up with. Immature as he is, Johnny is good with kids and he might learn to be an adult when the chips are down.

Beginning of the week treat: UA's awesome recap. Thanks so much.

I think Isa cares for the baby and wants to love it, but her childhood, the way she was raised, has warped her too much.

Variopinta: I also think Freaky will use the baby as revenge against Fer. It's actually perfect.

I think the Lascurain house is going to end up with a mini-zoo.

Did Fer sneeze when they had those pillow fights?

Did Leon's mom warn him he was moving too fast?

The previews made it seem like Freaky showed up at Isa's.

Does anyone know what new TNs are coming i 2015?

Nanette

BTW, Urban, I suspect you hold some sway over the tn writers!

1. You reference opera, and, voila!, Enfrique pretends to be the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto.

2. You reference the Olympians, and, voila!, a character named Zeus enters the plot.

Hmmmm . . . I wonder, you seem to like kittens a lot . . .

:)

Urban - thank you for your always prompt, witty and thorough recaps.

Last night's show was getting back into the groove for me so I shall look forward to continuing episodes.
Could it be that Ana and Johnny will plot to undo Dorofeo? That would make for some interesting jogs in the story. I, too, would love to see Enrique and Isabruja undone by a DNA test on the baby. I don't think Fernando would be too undone about finding out the baby isn't his, just upset because he was fooled. Fooled by Ana will be a big problema!

Isabella

EN, it's obvious that I love kittens; my sig photo is my boy, Figaro.

Now if I only could get Carla Estrada excited about doing Dark Shadows as a novela...

Ana, and everyone else, is so worried about how Fer will react about Chicago that it would be nice if he dumbfounded them all and was excited she was Lola.

UA: CE doing DS. What a great idea!

Carvivlie: I'd love it if that happened.

Why is the onus all on Fernando, to accept Ana lied to him the whole time, how she spent those evenings out? Forgive her everything or he really doesn't love her as much as he says? How about she doesn't love him as much as she says? Why would he believe anything she has told him or will tell him? Trust is earned and Ana in arrears.

I think Leon is setting himself up for a big fat NO from Fanny.

Tofie, I am expecting Fernando to have an angry reaction, and to your point, he is right about the grave part is Ana holding the information from him but not from others, while the actual content of the 'secret' is indeed delicate but not as important.
I expect Fernando to play to Isa's script and separate himself from Ana in a rather rude way for a while... to include not waiting for a full explanation of the circumstances...but i also expect everyone around him to protest in some way (including the kids, the help, and possibly Diego returning from Europe more recovered). Is Fernando going to see the light? sure, but it is human for him to go through some anger / frustration / dissappointment... before he can come to terms with it and move forward. and yes, Ana is digging her own grave, it is nowhere near ALL Fernando's fault.

i had mentioned in that weekend discussion about novelas that we should look way beyond original stories that have been remade more than 5 times and widen our horizons to stories that are covered or inspired in US tv shows, or even episodes of US tv shows... like some eps of cop or court shows come up with very interesting family scenarios that would definitely prompt a great telenovela. also classic US movies could provide the skeleton of good novela stories... its not just CBA and Delia Fiallo styles.

Forgot to tell you about this horrible thought I had last night.

Yolo has mentioned more than once about the baby who died. What if she didn't die. What if she was kidnapped by a baby broker and that baby is ESTEFANIA SR.?!!!!!

Oh heck no... say it ain't so Nanette!
i would rather the baby be... say Sarai's mom.

Or Angels ex

Or an ex-pole dancer

Wonder if they'll pair Nico with Soledad. It would be weird, but a TN thing to do.

That would be horrible, Nanette, but the writers have left that possibility open by saying nothing about Estefania Sr's background.

The actress looks like a midpoint between Fanny and Isabitch, so this is possible. However, there is no "llamada de la sangre" between Isabitch and the kids, so I'm not too worried about it. One would also think that Fernando would have sensed something.

Nic does not deserve Soledad. He would just use her to get his slippers and give him back rubs and divorce her in two weeks because she might die before him and leave him alone.

I assume that the Christmas season on the novels coincides with the holiday season in Mexico. This could slow things down for a few days, meaning lots of filler (read turkeys in the kitchen!)

We're about 4.5 weeks behind Mexico right now; last night's ep aired there on 12/18. I will have Mexico's Christmas Day episode on Monday next.

tofie, i agree with you. I am seeing more Soledad even building a friendship with Nico but no romantic relationship... just companionship in the same house. Nico could settle for that given he considers himself unable to make a woman happy at his age. could be a happy median for him.

yes at one point we were only about two weeks behind Mex but now the difference is more.

I want Freeky dead.
I want isa with a restriction order to not come anywhere near any Lasc and working far far away in another company.
I want yomama to go with Isa... wherever and not be heard of again.
I want Gabriel to die a slow death, maybe go to jail where other inmates will teach him 'manners'.
I want Johny to look Dana's way. Jen is too good for him. unless he plays a key role in unraveling Dorofeo to land him in jail for good.

Fernando will find out Ana works at Chicago, be upset, Ana will leave and he will have conversations with Fanny/Nando/Luz like this:

Fernando: Ana will not be in this house again! She lied to me!

Lascurain Child: But Papa, you love Ana and she loves you! You are so happy with her!

Fernando: Enough! Not another word about Ana!

If the conversation is with Fanny/Nando, Fernando will declare that the end of the subject. If it's with Luz, he'll explain he's hurt because she lied and Luz/Clones will devise a scheme to get them back together.

UA: rushing to thank you very much for great recap!
Don't know if anyone has mentioned, but last night it showed Doc Angel twice checking out baby Nico and looking concerned. Ruh-roh, I sense the need for a transfusion coming up, and you know what than means...

J in O

Oh, yes, and I can't wait.

Hissabela is going to have her scheme backfire on her. I wonder if La Costena has a branch office is Oaxaca or someplace far away she can be transferred to so Fernando and his kids never have to deal with her again.

However, that would rob Ana of the pleasure of taking her out of the game she's been playing.

Unless it's Laura, Ximena's mom, Tightbun, IsChabela or YoMama, EVERY woman on this show is too good for Johnny.

I'd like to see Dana ride off into the sunset with a guy worthy of her.

Johnny can just die a noble death.

Where the celery is Edna?
