Here is the new post for the coming week. Enjoy yourselves for the next few days. I'm getting sick now and still have to drive home (Have To) is the operative word. Plants need watering and company is coming at the end of the week, yikes.

Thank you Anita. Oh no! You're getting the crud? So sorry! Drive safely and don't worry about us, join us when you can. I think you've just about covered the waterfront with your list of eeevil! So far the folks who put our little adventure together are doing a masterful job in presenting this evil in an intelligent and entertaining manner. Love it!

Get well, and safe drive, Anita!

I CAN'T STAND the way Cesar and his mother (she doesn't deserve being named) treat poor Lucio. I really hope they get caught in the middle of one of their abusive rants on him. UGH!!

I'm with you, Anon 4:38, I hate, hate, hate, Cesar and LuCrazy!

Too bad only the bad guys install spy cameras! They ARE a loathsome duo!

Let me guess: Gabriela Goldsmith's character got killed off ?

This novela gets more intense with every episode. Favorite scene from last week was definitely Caesar announcing he was going to marry Amaya and not Max. Lucreicia's face was priceless.

The Lucio scenes were especially hard to watch but I loved his scenes with Flavia. For all her faults, she has a good heart.

I'm so happy Juliana knows what a scumbag Ulises is, hopefully, Flavia takes heed. Even Caesar seems to be on the war path when it comes to his sister. And Lucio spoke up about what he saw when he was younger. The Juliana/Eloisa detective duo gains strength (even as Juliana gets more tired :(

Dolores continues to be in the right, even only Amaya would listen (even if it is a sensitive situation). I'm sure if she shared her doubts about Lucrecia, Max wouldn't be in complete disbelief. I also wish Mariana would listen to her mom, she's usually more receptive.

After everything, I felt so bad for Emma. She definitely got the short end of the stick. Since Lucrecia doesn't know about the purse thing with Carolina, that will definitely lead the way to discovery.

So many things keep happening, here's to another exciting week!

Now to be fair, most of that evil is only coming from one character. Cesar is still learning and dumb ole Horatio is a total amateur. It's really not right to put him on the same "evil" category as Lucrecia. She'd destroy him without messing up her manicure, especially since she's getting better at this whole murder thing. QEPD, Emma.

Kelly

Sick to my stomach watching Lucio being brutalized. UGH

Good luck, Anita, with the drive
home and speedy recovery. While helping others, you got sick...
and it's no fun not to be in your own home at such times.

Being back in your own home will probably speed up the cure.

Thanks for the list which serves also as a summary.

Just finished today's episode.

The evil continues with the actions of Cesar despicable.

Diana B. a fantastic actress.

Hoping that Caro will get to work on this case. It would be good if she went directly to a reliable, honest detective.

Enjoy all comments. Hello to Lila.

Hey QA peeps! Just finished Monday's episode and this is merely my humble submission of BIGGIES! I'm sure you have your own and feel free to add. I haven't read other comments yet. Trying to dash this off before I go to work!

>Delores tell Caro the woman with the designer purse has got to be Lucrecia Montesinos!

>Caro, ever open and upfront, tells Amaya who waves it off and repeats her mantra about Nena (Delores) being obsessed with Lu!

>Juli tells Jorge about slimeball Uli's attempts to force a kiss on Mariana. Slimeball preempts Juli's efforts to warn Flavia who has swallowed Uli's lie whole. She thanks him with a role in the sack. Lu calls Uli and offers to pay him to leave Flavia alone. I've got a feeling he'll take the doe and keep sliming around. He doesn't know who he's playing with: Lu's a pro, and a killer!

>Salvador secretly belongs to the Taliban: he forces Connie to change out of a rather modest bathing suit and bristles when she is introduced to University Guy's friends at the little barbeque he planned for them to meet his friends.

>Poor Emma is buried and the officials give Lu the autopsy report. She smiles smugly and confidently thought bubbles that no one will ever know she killed her!

>I couldn't fully watch but Cesar ups his threats, taunts and physical abuse of Lucio. He forces him to write a note to give to Vale. I think Cesar wants to out Amaya and Max's relationship and generally eff up the relationship between the three. Correct me here guys. As I say: I couldn't watch it!

>Amaya is discharged from the hospital!!

>Lu goes to Nescafe to intercept/interfere in Monica's (Emma's daughter) attempt to collect her mother's things.

>Caro exists the elevator and sees Lu and the designer purse and draws the right conclusion. It WAS Max's mother she saw outside of Emma's apartment and Max's mother tried to kill Amaya!!!!

"Salvador secretly belongs to the Taliban..."

OMG! That made me laugh so hard, Lila. Thank you. :)

Hey Vivi! That was just the first thing I thought of! Did y'all see how he was seething when University Guy took Connie's arm and took her to meet his friends. Sal is a real problem, y'all. I am actually a little sorry for Connie! Wonder how that's all going to shake out!

Hello Superalfie and Steve, Floridia and everyone!

Up there I said that Flavia thanked Uli with a "role in the sack." Y'all know I meant "roll" but looks like either word works. I retract my characterization of Flavia a few weeks ago as a "secret virgin". I don't think she's been any type of virgin for a while! Somehow I get the feeling Lu has done this off the boyfriend thing before. Which is much better than kill off the boyfriend! This psychotic wench wants to have final approval over whomever her kids marry. Cesar is following a script she approves of: just get your ashes hauled if you must, but don't bring any strangers into the Montesinos dynasty. We see what she has done to Max's beloved and I think Lu has interfered before in Flavia's love life but she just doesn't know it. They've all, even Cesar, got a lot to learn about mommy dearest!

*pay off the boyfriend, not "off the boyfriend", though we know Lu is capable of that!

Thanks, Lila,

If we are to follow the original plot to some degree, Connie will probably run to Max when she discovers she is pregnant.

She will run furiously fast and far from Seething Sal. Obviously, he is a powder keg seething with rage - scheduled to explode at any minute.

If anyone could help with the dialogue between Geno and her son, I would appreciate it. I guess he is balking about attending school,
and is apparently a rude, ungrateful brat. He needs a firm hand from a strong father figure.

I'll give it a shot, Floridia. My friends Vivi or Anita are welcome to beat me to it with probably a better translation. I'll see what I come up with. :)

I haven't seen the epi yet, so I am no help I'm afraid. :(

So apparently Gena had given her son informational pamphlets on several Universities and he hadn't chosen any of them. He answers it's because he hasn't decided whether he wants to go to school or not. She presses him that it's time to decide now. He more decisively states that he does not want to continue his studies.

Gena drops her smile and gets right to the point and asks him what he plans to do because he is not going to bum around the house all day.

He answers that he was thinking of working in "her friend" Manuel's publicity agency.

Gena had never heard him express interest in the publicity business. Well, he doesn't really but he thinks since that is her friend he could probably get a good job and a decent salary. That is, if she will give him a good recommendations.

Gena tells him it's not a good idea. She concedes that she can't make him study if he doesn't want to but she insists that if he wants to work he needs to open those doors to employment himself. She wants him to prove himself by exerting his own efforts and not just walk into a job based on a recommendation.

Sonny boy can't believe it and can't see what the fuss is about. What would it cost mom to give him a recommendation?

She states she has always supported him: this is how he was able to study in the United States so what HE needs to do now is decide what career he wants to study for. With an "is that clear?" she slaps her napkin on the table and leaves with a decided air of maternal authority!

Yowza! Yowza! Great show! Here are my BIGGIES for Tuesday, 1-13-15!

>Caro tells Delores she was right: Lu is the woman she saw outside of Emma’s apartment. They agree that Amaya must be told ASAP!

>Cesar finds out mommy was at Nescafe the day of the attempt on Amaya’s life. She easily deflects it with a lie.

>The great coffee bean theft (GCBT) is discovered. Hector tells Cesar first. Then Mauro and Max find out. Mauro calls Cesar into the office and reams him out for not having told him. Cesar challenges Mauro by telling him Mauro has no idea how many things happened at Nescafe that Cesar never told him about but took care of himself. Nevertheless Mauro demands that he be told EVERYTHING that happens in the business! Cesar makes nasty insinuations toward Max about his being part of solutions that have moved Nescafe forward unlike others who are part of the problem. They have a huge shouting match. Mauro demands solidarity and brotherhood for the sake of the business. Cesar announces that the theft will not compromise Nescafe’s annual production goals nor Max’s gourmet coffee project. He states he’s got everything under control. He leaves feeling triumphant.

>Nora surprises Connie at the University. Connie confides in her that things are going terribly with Sal: He is an overbearing, insecure, irritable control freak who wants to micro manage every part of her life – he is smothering her and if he doesn’t stop, they are going to have to break up! I think she’s got enough ammo to catapult that puppy out of her life, like yesterday!

>Flavia catches Lu in a phone conversation trying to pay Uli to break up with her. She’s had it and packs her things to move out! Flavia says she’s going to go to Uli and her beloved twin, Lucio, is going to Juliana’s. Lu doesn’t seem concerned about that but gives Flavia an ultimatum: If she wishes she can stay, but if she leaves, she’ll never come back to the house again. Sounds like a good deal to me but we all know Uli ain’t gonna let her move in. Looks like she’ll be with “Bicho” (Lucio) at Juli’s!

Lucio puts the note about Max and Amaya he was supposed to give to Vale in his pocket as before he and Flavia prepare to leave.

>Ivan slugs Uli over forcing the kiss on Mariana. He and Uli get a few good licks on each other but Uli’s goons show up and hold Ivan while Uli insults and demeans Mari and punches him in the stomach. Uli also mocks that Mariana will leave Ivan and come to him. Uli tells Ivan he doesn’t know who he’s messed with. I fear Uli is right and I fear for Ivan!

1-13-15 Pt. 2

>A drunken Cip tells Mariana he thinks she is not his child. He tells of a trip Delores took once to Mexico City after which she had a “miracle” conception: one he had not been able to bring about even after 20 years of marriage. Cip is a crying, snotty drunken mess as he spews all this at a shocked, horrified, devastated Mari who tries to defend her mother’s honor. Cip claims that Delores puts up with his abuse out of guilt for having falsely saddled him with fatherhood. To finish the insult off he tells her if he had been able to have a child, he would have wanted a son, not una vieja! (pejorative for a female).

>Finally, Max tells Mauro of his and Amaya’s plan to talk to Vale about their relationship. Mauro also promises to talk to Lu to “inform her” of his relationship with Amaya’s mother. While they talk, Amaya calls. Amaya discovers that the quantity of $880,400, the balance of the back rent on the Zona Estrella owed her and deposited on 1-27-14 by Emma was withdrawn that very same day and deposited in another account! Further, this is the day she was shot! She asks Mauro if he had opened another account for her. Mauro and Max are flummoxed and state absolutely they did not. Los dos son muy impactados!

WOW!! So that's some of what impressed me! GREAT episode!! How about you!

Ooh! Lila, thank you so much for the recap. I'll be catching up on this tn this weekend.

I'm so glad that the purse was recognized and both Dolores and Caro have Lu as their number one suspect.

I too worry about Mariana proving Uli right at some point, but I would think the only reason she would ever be with him is if he somehow threatens those she loves. In any case, I do not think she and Ivan will have a smooth and easy romance.

Good morning, Vivi! Glad that you made this point about Uli. I DO NOT think Uli is right about Mariana going to him, I think he is right about Ivan not knowing who he's messing with: I fear that Uli would have his goons try to kill Ivan or do something to physically hurt Mari or kidnapping or such. Uli may just be getting started and he can't hold a candle to Cesar or Lu, but he is eeeeeevil!

Also, remember your prediction/fear that Uli might ally with Cesar. This thought has crossed Cesar's twisted little mind. THIS is how I fear Uli might be right! Yikes!!

Lila,

Thanks so much re the conversation between Geno and José. I missed the most important part about wanting to work for "her friend" Manuel.

I am really busy right now, so I cannot put all my attention to listening carefully which I really need to do...and want to do.

It seems that there is absolute turmoil on all fronts, bar none.
Tonight's episode promises to be another heartbreak involving Val.

Destilando Amor viewers, will remember, if I am correct, that the word "Bicho" or a reasonable facsimile thereof was used as a pet name for the character of Aarón Montalvo by his pretty mistress.

Thanks to all contributors.
The intrigue continues.

All the best ....

Thank you, Floridia! I am happy to help anyone with conversations that are a little fuzzy: I ask for such help all the time. Thank you for that bit on "bicho". I watched DA and now that you mention it I do kind of remember hearing that term. Lucio calls her "bicha" as well. Although cute, it's a sound that is just not appealing in English for obvious reasons. Oh well!

Yes. Today should be good!

Thinking about you, Anita! Take care and feel better, Darlin'!

Ay, I just watched today's episode. The crap hit the fan with Val. How will Amaya and Max fix this?

I was glad to see Dolores deny the Mariana isn't Cip's child accusation with no hesitation. Like Mariana, I was pretty darned sure Dolores had never and would never cheat. But Cip was so sure, and there had been so many hints about his feelings, that I was starting to imagine a Jane the Virgin scenario. I imagined Dolores had gone to a fertility specialist in Mexico City to finally find out what the problem was, and instead of just examining her, either through negligence or a false sense of altruism, they artificially inseminated her with functional sperm (not Cip's). That's how far my imagination ran to explain how Mariana would not be Cip's, but Dolores faithful. LOL! Anyhoo, now we know Cip is just an idiot, like we always thought. :)

Hey Vivi! You beat me to it but you don't really need bullet points anyway. Yah, that dang Cesar, uuuuf I can't wait for him to get his!

And yes, Cip IS indeed an idiot!!

Bullet points below cause I don't think they'll fit here.

Hey! Where's everybody else!

Anita, you just keep taking care, honey!

QA 1-14-15

Good Morning QA Peeps! Just a few notes before I go to work. Yesterday was aftermath of the biggies which is totally necessary! Events not necessarily in order.

>Flavia makes her choice: she cannot live under the same roof with Lu. Flavia tells Lu she hates her, it’s a hate she’s earned because Lu hates all her children except for Cesar. She knows Lucio will not get the care he needs while living at home so she’s taking him to Juliana’s. Flavia has spoken Truth.

>Speaking of Truth. Here’s a shocker: Lu actually tells Mauro the truth about why Flavia left home! Can you believe it! Mauro gets to Julia’s too late to talk to Flavia and calls Jorge to ask him to intercept her at the airport. Juli had tried to convince her to go to El P instead of Uli’s to no avail.

>Caro is so distracted by the realization that Max’s mother shot Amaya she can’t work or think of anything else!

>Sal and Nora have a heart to heart as well. He also thinks things are going terribly: Connie can’t get Max out of her mind!

>Mariana tells Delores over the phone what Cip told her. Delores swears on her life it is not true, Cip IS her dad and she never betrayed him with ANY man during their whole marriage! Later, as she grimaces in pain, Delores, thinking to herself confirms her fidelity to Cip (for us) and plans to confront Cip as soon as she gets home about the pain he is causing their daughter! (Thought bubbles are generally true, aren’t they?)

>Mariana confides in Ivan about the Cip accusation and they also lovingly commiserate about the unfair Uli beat down.

>Emma forgives German. With his lasts gasps of breath he warns her to watch out for Lucrecia. He professes that she was always his only and great love, and then dies. She cries and closes his eyes.

>Max has Geno investigate the transfer of the $880,400 out of Amaya’s account. Geno reports back that it was indeed put into Amaya’s account by Emma and then transferred by internet the same day to a Swiss bank account. For me, further investigation needs to go into the timing of the transfer but at any rate Max concludes that Amaya’s murder was well planned and Emma made the transfer to meet her needs after she fled. He asks Geno to very discreetly inquire into Emma’s having such an account with Monica, Emma’s daughter. Max calls Amaya and tells her Emma robbed her but not to worry, they will replace every single dime. He tells her she may take out a loan from the business or better yet he will help her financially until the money is replaced.

>Later on the soccer field Amaya meets Juli and Alan for the first time. Alan gives Vale the note Cesar forced Lucio to write which says that Max and Amaya have been novios for a looooong time! The beautiful, sunny day turns stormy as Vale angrily confronts Max and Amaya, calling them liars!

Forgot to mention that Connie had a teeny-bopper flashback, called Max, listened to him answer, refused to say anything, then hung up! This was after sitting thinking about him, that surely he is thinking about her the way she is thinking about him!

Max knows it was Connie!

Lila,

Thanks for all the new info.
I forgot this is not your job. You actually must show up and put in a full day's work at the office. I appreciate all you have done to keep us up to date and together in this intriguing TN.

The best part for me was when Juli told Amaya about meeting her mother and what a loving, wonderful person she was. It was a little superficial without much emotion but it was something.

It's been awhile since Don Mauro has been reminiscing about Florencia. I am wondering if she is a nun with amnesia. I still want her to appear for the finale even though Mauro gave Eloisa a big consolation hug after learning about German's demise.

I wish the hospital staff had given German one final shave as a clean sendoff. He was not a pretty sight.

The argument between Lulu and Mauro was well done and quite realistic. He was very upset that Lu had told Flavia not to return. Families have these type of arguments. Lu, the example of decorum, believes in RULES and suffering the consequences of ones ill advised actions (good to know this) while Mauro adamantly insisted that the doors of their house will always be open to their children, no matter what.

Thanks for everything.
Chat later.

Big fireworks tonight.

Hi, Floridia!

Thank you for bringing up those two great plot points:

It WAS so touching and meant so much to Amaya to talk to someone else who actually knew her mother. That was a very sweet scene. How special that was for Amaya! I think this will bond Juliana and Amaya! How long before Caro or Delores share their suspicions/knowledge about Lu with Juliana? I think Juliana will play a key role in helping the unbelievers come into the fold!

EXCEPT. The poor dear is getting so tired. And yes, that satan's spawn Cesar texted Lu (short for Lucifer) to tell her the mercury drops were starting to work!

Thanks also for the details on that argument between Mauro and Lu. Funny how everyone else must suffer the consequences of there acts except HER!

*their acts. . .

Thanks so much Lila. Sorry for jumping the gun on my comment. :)

I too found it touching when Juli told Amaya she looked just like her mom, and how sweet Flor was with her. It really meant so much to Amaya, and it was nice to finally see these two lovely, intelligent, single moms connect.

I worry for both Dolores and Caro's health, with this knowledge about Lu. But the writers wouldn't dare kill them both off before they do something with their info, would they?

Hola patio peeps--well it's a little chilly to be sitting on the patio right now. Maybe we could retire to the Orangerie next to an indoor waterfall and tropical plants.

My cold is abating, but company is coming--in about 30 min.

Can't elaborate on anything, even though I managed to watch the missing episodes in one fell swoop yesterday.

One thing which might confuse folks later on. The stealing of the sacks of coffee from the warehouse has NOT been discovered yet.

What Hector and Jorge realized is that someone stripped the new coffee plants in the Zona Estrella. I don't know how that works, but they commiserated that this will affect the production NEXT year. So--someone else has been messing with El P. besides Uli. I think this was one of Cesar's plots.

I was so annoyed by how deftly Cesar stoically took Mauro's beat down while just a few minutes before he and Max were having an angry shouting match. Cesar is just going to go back and do whatever he wanted to do anyway. What can Mauro do except yell at him again and all Cesar has to do is say he's sorry.

Cesar is dead to me. He may not have killed anyone - yet, but his physical brutality towards Lucio is beyond human. He is pond scum, the smelly kind.

That little Val sure has a temper. It must have been inherited from Whoracio's genes. She jumps to conclusions without asking for explanations. I thought better of her. Well, she did go through that period where Whor made her hate her mother for breaking up the family and it took Amaya quite awhile to repair the relationship.

What does Uli have in store for Flavia. Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good. So happy that Juli gave her a way out--in case things didn't work out and she wouldn't judge her.

That's all I have time for. See you back here on Monday (unless I can sneak a peak, but won't be able to see the episodes until then).

Lila, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hang in there--you have been such a sport to sign on to this novela and keep up our spirits and our interest in the midst of being a full-time working gal.

No, Vivi! You didn't jump the gun at all! It's great to get various different angles, that way we get the whole picture!

You make a good point about Caro and Delores. I'm afraid of Delores dying from her kidney problem. That would be a huge loss but realistic. Please let it not be so! And Caro has to be extra careful about who she shares her suspicions with! They ARE in danger though!

Thank you, Anita! Glad you're feeling better.

TAKE NOTE FOLKS, ANITA CORRECTED A MAJOR BOO BOO I MADE!

One thing which might confuse folks later on. The stealing of the sacks of coffee from the warehouse has NOT been discovered yet.

Anita, you are so right. I guess I wanted the theft to be discovered. I remember know they used a word which I can't remember now and it translated as "to milk". Now I get it. Jorge and Hector were in the fields and I remember them looking at the coffee plants and their mood suddenly going south and then they used that word. Somehow I forgot about that word and jumped to the conclusion that the coffee bean theft had been discovered.

Oh gosh. Mauro is REALLY going to blow a gasket when he hears about THAT!

Thanks, Anita for that save!

And yes, Cesar is the most despicable piece of trash ever. He'd better get it BIG TIME!

Hi, All

It's really bugging me abut this kidney thing...the way they have been dragging it out for well over a month. It's a very serious disease if it is let to go on without treatment, but people do have kidney stones fairly often, and once the stones are passed, the person is back to normal. Perhaps, I am not getting this. I thought originally, the doctor was giving D medicine to help the stones pass. I don't know what's going on now. Of course, there are transplants if necessary and there is dialysis. A friend's husband has been on dialysis for over three years and for four times per day. He lives at home but is extremely ill and has now lost most of his vision. I don't know why Dolores is allowed by her doctors to keep postponing treatment. I know the doctor phoned in instructions, but no immediate action was taken. D keeps making excuses. The others are too lenient with her.

All the best....

QA 1-15-15

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!!! This is just me reacting. I may comment on other things later but one central scene played out that leaves me gob smacked and wondering what the heck will happen tomorrow!

I don’t know why Lu was at the hospital but Delores was there for her medical tests. They both ended up in the same restroom together. Delores locks the door and lights into Lucrecia calling her out for all the evil she’s committed: the murders on the day of the Great Accidents all the way down to shooting Amaya.

At first Lu tries to deny it but Delores is so insistent, even physically restraining Lu from leaving twice, that Lu admits to it all! We even see a new flashback where after the fight in the water between the young Flo and Lu, Flo gets out of the river and is calling for Amaya when Lu smashes her head with a rock and kills her. Lu admits to it all, they struggle and Lu pushes Delores through a plate glass partition! As Delores attempts to get up Lu picks up a huge, sharp shard of glass and [I think it was edited out] stabs Delores with the glass! At that moment Amaya has arrived and is wiggling the door handle trying to get in to the bathroom!

Oh. My. Gosh! Let’s see Lu get out of THIS!

C’mon guys! Let’s chew on this! I have to recap La Gata tonight but I hope somebody responds. I totally did not expect this!!

Vivi! Our fears have become realized much sooner than we could have imagined! OR this is a dream! Delores is pretty sick. I’m thinking she passed out in the bathroom and all this is a dream/hellish near death experience she has after seeing Lucretia. Whew!

Hi, Floridia

I'm sorry. I hadn't seen your comment before posting my rant above. You make some very good points about the kidney disease. After today I'm afraid Delores' disease will be a moot point. I just don't know what to make of what just happened!

Okay. I remember now. Lu was going to see a Dr. -- again -- about her vocal chords. Remember, she was supposedly once a great singer and has been trying to rehab her pipes for decades. She told Cesar about it and he laughed in her face.

Oh wow
I mean I sort of had a suspicion that Lucrecia was going to kill Delores but not this soon!

But really when you lock yourself in a bathroom with a psychotic murderess there is really only one possible outcome.

This is just the very sad last in a long line of really bad decisions Delores has been making, including not getting her kidney stones taken care of sooner like Floridia said.

I have to admit though it gave me great satisfaction to see someone finally stand up to Lucrecia and see Lucrecia finally admit all that she has done

Also did we know before that Lu really for sure did kill Florencia and that Florencia is really dead? I thought we didn't but maybe I lost track.

Got a few spare minutes. Haven't seen today's episode, but Sneaky Two Shoes--Many of the flashbacks keep changing as the story is revealed. We see Lu dumping Flo in the river, but that doesn't mean she's dead. Lu probably thought she was. But she did say that she kept Mauro's hopes alive by letting him go think she was--telling the detective (her paid flunky) to keep reporting to Mauro that he just missed them.

Lila--Thanks for reminding me that Luce was going to see a specialist. You'd think he would have a private office somewhere, but then, where would the set up be.

I can't believe Dolores survived Luce's attack with a shard of glass. OTHO, who locks the door of a public bathroom (we saw at least 4 stalls) in a public area of a public, excuse me, Private Hospital. How does she hope to clean herself up and escape without anyone seeing her. (Forgot, this is a tn and the evil ones always get away with bad stuff no one sees them doing.)

I wish Dolores had just kept quiet and listened to Luce's phone conversation with Cesar and acted on it later with Amaya.

What has Horacio got up his sleeve, anyway! He was being nice and reasonable. Oh, that's right, he wants to wooo Juliana, so he has to make sure he says and does the right things.

What a short memory Vale has. Doesn't she remember how nasty Horacio was to her a while back when Amaya was first taken to the hospital?

Will try to squeeze in today's episode sometime over the weekend.

Sneaky Two Shoes--No, we never heard Luce tell "us" she killed Flo on land. Up to this point, we just see Flo in the water, struggling, calling for Amaya, and Luce on land pushing her head down. This episode expands the flashback--we see Luce getting pulled in and they both struggle with each other in the water. (Remember she came out muddy and bought that cover-up from Amparo's friend? At the time, we didn't know why, just that she ended up in the water.)

I haven't seen the last two episodes, but QUE THE HELL! What the heck was Dolores thinking? How did she think this was going to end?

Finally, my peeps have come to chat around the fireside! Yaaay! I'm going to go right down the list of comments, I'm so excited to have someone to talk to so forgive me if I answer something that somebody else answers further down!

Hey Sneaky! This is a real shocker and yes, Delores was not making good decisions. I know this is just a story but I'm wondering if some toxins had infiltrated her blood from the bad kidney not being tended to . . .I just could not believe the confrontation; locking the door; repeatedly pushing her and refusing to let her leave and then telling her she was not going to let her leave! Delores just could not fathom the depths of Lu's evil, even knowing what she'd done!

This flashback was the first that we knew that Lu clonked Flo in the head, killing her and then disposing of the body. What an evil wench!

Hi, Anita! So you think Flo might not be dead? I suppose it's possible!

Yes, Delores survived! I want to share my biggies a little later. I don't like to spoil the show for anybody so I hope you don't come back to the blog until you see it.

Delores should have kept her mouth shut. I thought she WAS going to listen to the conversation, gather some nuggets and quietly work with Caro and Juliana. Unbelievable what she did!

It was funny how Amaya looked at Whor like he had sprouted another head when he was coming off so normal and reasonable.

See you later, Anita!

Hey, Vivi! You see why I was so excited?! I was hoping it was a dream but alas! I don't know WHAT Delores was thinking! Apparently she just got swept away by all the years of pent up emotion and just lost it!

Good evening, everybody! WOW!! What a development!! What drama!

Here is what impressed me: It was NOT Amaya jiggling the door! Doh! They tricked us! It was just two random women! They give up and walk away. Amaya gets to the bathroom after Lu(cifer) has done a hasty clean up, unlocked the door and darted out. She finds Nina on the floor, screams and collapses to her knees, cradling Nina's head and talking to her.

Nina was NOT dead and told her that Lucrecia did it. She very clearly said Lucrecia did this to her, killed her parents and shot her too! Delores asks her to look after Mariana and watch out for Lucrecia. It is sad that just a few days ago when Delores shared her suspicions Amaya gently but sternly chastised her for being obsessed with Lucrecia. It took Delores dying for Amaya to believe her, and believe her she did!

When Max and Mauro get to the hospital they hold and console Amaya and ask her what happened. Notice that she tells them that Delores was dead when she discovered her. Caro looked shocked and stood up when Amaya said that but kept quiet.

I think Amaya is going to be discreet and careful not only because of Max but because her dying Nina asked her to: Amaya fully grasps how dangerous Lu is! Nevertheless, not to tell the police and try to investigate herself is playing with fire! From what I can tell, it is being treated as an accident!

Lu's hand is cut badly from the shard of glass, she goes home and fakes being sick but one of the maids and the driver got a good look at the cut!

Mariana broke my heart. My gosh, her pain was palpable and so realistic, she made me cry. I so understand her not wanting to be home when Cip arrives. He is such a stone-hearted idiot I'm sure he would say something stupid and insensitive.

Anita, I'll leave the coffee developments to you: I think I know what the plan is but I don't want to screw it up!

Finally, Flavia shows up at El Deseo to a luke warm reception from Uli who actually makes sense in his response to her. She tries to play pouty princess with him about leaving her while he goes to take care of dirty coffee business with Cip on her first night with him but he wasn't having any of it! He told her "you came here without advising me so it's up to you to adjust to the rhythm of life!" and he left!

What a week! Vivi and I speculated about Caro and Delores being in danger but I never dreamed we'd see this now! Wow!

Oh yeah. The bottom-feeding devil, Cesar, abused and harassed Lucio again. I couldn't watch it so if someone knows if anything important was said, please share it!

Thanks for the updates from today, Lila. So, what is Amaya going to do now? I'm glad she's approaching this calmly and rationally (unlike Dolores), but as you point out, not sharing her info/suspicions to the police means that valuable evidence (Lu's cut hand) might go to waste. Caray!

Caray, indeed Vivi! How is this going to effect her relationship with Max? They are REALLY going to have to have some strong love to get past this! I hope Amaya and Caro will ally with Juliana. I don't think they should let Elo in on everything: she impresses me as someone who could passionately confront Lu like Delores did and I would not put it past Lu to kill her own sister!

Lila, Anita, Vivi, and All,

Yes, this was quite an episode.
Mariana's role is being played by a great actress, Renata Notni. I had to look her up to check on her background. Apparently, she has had a lot of work, but this is likely her most prominent role.
She played her scene exquisitely and was incredibly believable.
She just turned 20 on January 2nd.

Jorge is fabulous. He always seems to know what to say and do in most circumstances -- even though in this case, he could feel Mariana's pain.

My first reaction is to have an autopsy done, but it sounds as if they are skipping that and will bring Delores' body out to the country in the morning. They need to determine the real cause of death.

Don Mauro and Max are trying to console Amaya not knowing that their very own wife and mother killed Amaya's parents (THO I'M STILL HOPING FLORENCIA IS ALIVE) and next of kin. One saving grace is that both of them don't have a strong bond with her. It may be more difficult for Max to learn the truth because it is his biological mother.

Oh, No! Constanza rushed off to the bathroom. Sal is euphoric.

Uli was the voice of reason with
Flavia.

There is chaos on all fronts - almost too much to bear.

Is there any proof that Florencia is dead?

Thanks for all the comments.

All the best

Floridia, thank you! So glad to see you at the fireside!

Yes! Thank you for bringing up Connie's running from the dinner table to upchuck! She, Nora and Sal were having dinner. I'll be darned if Sal didn't immediately suggest she might be having "their" baby! Whoo boy! Floridia, you are right there is a LOT going on! Connie still has it so bad for Max and Sal is getting on her last nerve. I can just see her running to Max telling him she's having HIS baby!

Yah. Things have gotten REAL complicated!

Knowning Carlos Moreno, the anvils at the end of this should be HUGE (see Amor Bravio.)

You guys know he is remaking Carla Estrada's, "Amor en Silencio" right?

Not familiar with these, Corazaon. I'd have to look them up. Thanks!

Lila - re Cesar I thought he said something to Lucio about drugging him but I was cringing so hard I couldn't really concentrate.

I hate seeing people in pain so Fri's epi was hard for me The actress is too good in this case, I don't want to imagine Mariana's pain.

Floridia and others - no there is no proof Florencia is dead but she did get hit on the head and knocked out and then dumped back into the river so her chances are not looking too good, especially since Mauro has another potential love interest waiting in the wings and I really like Eloisa so I hope things work out for them.

I am just so relieved that Amaya DOES believe Dolores now that I'm not too upset about not telling the police, because she doesn't have any proof and she seems to be doing the smart thing by not telling anyone she can't absolutely trust what she knows.

I don't really know anything about Carlos Moreno since I've never watched any of his tns before so I have no idea what to expect and I have been surprised by some of the deaths in this tn.

In my mind, I am pairing Eloisa up with the intelligent and kind psychiatrist. He would be good for her, and they can both care for Lucio in a safe environment as he gradually heals.

When Amaya cried in the arms of Mauro, she expressed her loneliness at now being a full fledged orphan. For this reason, I am hoping that Florencia will resurface from the pond or from wherever she has been and bring some motherly love to Amaya.

Hi, Sneaky Two Shoes! So glad to have you join us at the fireside! Thank you for that bit on Lucio. All these actors are so good and so believable, there ARE scenes that are too painful. It does not look good for poor Florencia! And Floridia, I had not thought of Elo getting with the good Dr. Interesting. Again. I know this is only a tv show but thought of being with one's brother in law, the man who had "been" with my sister even once, let alone 35 years is cringe worthy for me! If the story goes that way I know they will write Elo as being ecstatically happy.

What I can't wait to see is how they are able to keep Amaya loving the man who's mother killed both her parents; her Godmother who raised her and was like a mother to her AND murdered a woman whom she framed because she HERSELF tried to kill her -- I know the grammar and sentence structure is wobbly but you get my point: How are they going to make this love believeable!

Hola and Bienvedios to everyone out there waiting for Monday afternoon.

The NEW PAGE will be up soon. I'll make a place for it now.

Thanks, Anita and Good Morning to you!
