Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #123 2/9/15 If the Ship is Sinking, Just Keep Bailing Damn It!

The Good Ship Ripoll Sails into Troubled Waters.

From Friday:
Sofia reluctantly joins Dani and Alexa in a sisterly "All for One and One for All" moment pledging to keep the factory afloat. Chava hides his official man card and asks if he can join the sorority too.

Yovet, lounging on the couch in a black leather number, calls Irais and insists that she come home and hustle up some grub for her. Apparently Yovet can't do anything except whine and apply makeup. Lots and lots of makeup. Irais tells Yovet to make herself a sandwich and stop bothering her. Both she and Matias have work to do.

Sofia has letters to write to clients, machinery to clean, products to sort and a factory to save, but still has time to make out with Chava. Priorities people, priorities.

Chava tells Armie that he is sure Renzi and Pato are behind all the bad happenings in the 'hood and they need to break into Renzi's office to find the proof.

At dinner with Pedro, Araceli threatens to sue the Ripolls over the recipes that Paco voluntarily gave to Sofia.

New Episode:
Pedro has to go back to Monterrey to work, but he'd like to stay with Araceli. He asks if there is any chance that she could love him again. She gives him an unethusiastic, "Meh."

Armie reminds Chava that breaking and entering is illegal. Only if you get caught. Chava and Sofia got away with it at the "love shack". Chava tells Armie that Sofia agreed to compensate Silvetti for the contaminated shipment but she doesn't have the money. What's more, Sofia put the factory up as collateral for the loan she needed to ramp up production for South America. If breaking into Renzi's office is the only way Chava can help Sofia, then he'll do it. It's worth the risk to finally get Pato out of Sofia's life.

Fuzzy Tavarres calls Sofia with the news that the police haven't been able to find Manjarres.

Armie calls Irma to say he's working late. She accuses him of being with Alexa. Armie asks her not to say stuff like that in front of Nandito. Irma lies and says Nandito wasn't even in the room. After Irma hangs up, Nandito tells her that there is nothing wrong with his dad spending time with the Giant Girl. They're just friends.

Pato brings the company's financial reports to Sofia and offers to call clients and explain the situation at the factory. Sofia tells Pato to mind his own business, she will call all the clients herself. Silvana wants to know how the company is going to pay overtime for the workers who are sorting out the boxes of contaminated chocolate from the good stuff. Chava reminds Silvana that the workers have volunteered their efforts out of loyalty to the company, they don't expect to get paid. Silvana smirks that sooner or later one of them is going to ask to be paid, then all the rest of them will expect to be paid as well.

Lupe' and Miguelina talk and wonder what kind of emergency is keeping everyone at the factory. Lupe' is going to pray to the Virgincita that everyone can keep their job.

The Ripoll girls talk about how Greta will react to the news. Sofia says that due to Greta's health issues, no one is to tell Greta anything. Alexa suggests that they tell Greta a little bit of the story, but don't give it the whole Brian Williams treatment.

Chava offers to go help in the warehouse - or - he could help Sofia figure out the financial situation. They make out and then start going through the financial statements. Meanwhile, Pato joins Silvana in her office and they laugh about how well the plan to sabotage the factory worked. Sofia may think she's going to salvage things, but Pato is going to make sure the factory goes broke.

Dani rewards Oliver for helping out in the warehouse with a make out session in her office.

Greta gets out of bed and yells down the hall for Fausto. She demands to know why her daughters haven't come home yet. Fausto reminds her that they are working late to meet an urgent production deadline. He orders Greta back to bed, otherwise he'll tell the doctor that she ignored his orders.

Pato calls Renzi to arrange to have the story about Ripoll's contaminated chocolates printed in the next edition of the newspaper. Renzi reminds Pato that he's taking a big risk; Peralta doesn't like media scandals. Pato tells Renzi not to worry about that; Renzi is to do whatever it takes to get the story published.

Oliver goes home and discovers that Isadora isn't at the apartment. Morgana tells him that Isadora has taken to going out alone and is probably drinking again. Oliver discovers a flask in Isadora's bedroom. Morgana suggests that Oliver talk to the rehab doctor to find out how Isadora's treatment is progressing.

Isadora and Javier are passed out on the table at the bar where they've been drinking all day and night. The waiter rouses Javier and asks if he can call a cab for them. Javier says no and after the waiter leaves Javier helps himself to the cash in Isadora's purse. He shoves the money into his pocket and then plops face down on the table again. The noise wakes Isadora. She suddenly realizes how late it is and is in a hurry to get home before Oliver does. Isadora heads for the door. Javier tries to follow but falls over a chair and ends up passed out on the floor.

Silvana is dying to know the details of Pato's newest plan but he refuses to tell her. She suggests they meet up for sex later, but Pato is more concerned with ruining Sofia. He tells Silvana he'll call her later - maybe.

Dani and Lucas have an awkward looking-into-each-other's-eyes moment while sorting and stacking boxes in the warehouse. Of course Marisol sees it.

Armie and Alexa, who is still wearing her Tooth Fairy in Mourning dress, unload boxes of contaminated chocolates from a big cart. She feels soooooo guilty about the big mess she created at the factory while she was in charge and about all that chocolate that has to be destroyed. You're telling me sister. Chocolate should never have to be destroyed.

Isadora comes home to a dark apartment. Oliver is waiting for her and demands to know where she's been. Isadora answers with a huge breath mint in her mouth. She just went out for dinner with friends! She's sick of Morgana coming along and cramping her style! Of course she hasn't been drinking! Why all the questions? She's tired and going to bed!

The Ripoll girls arrive at home. Sofia thanks Dani for all her help. Alexa offers to help again tomorrow but Sofia tells her to take care of her acting career. Alexa protests that she just wants to fix the mess she caused. Well, Sofia doesn't want her around. Alexa goes upstairs crying. Fausto comes down demanding to know what is going on. Sofia tells him about the pesticide laced chocolates that were delivered to South America. Silvetti was threatening to sue but Sofia offered to compensate him financially instead. Problem is, Ripoll doesn't have that kind of money. Sofia cries, "What can I do?" Fausto comforts her. Sofia tells Fausto that Chava thinks Renzi is behind the sabotage because he wants to develop the neighborhood.

Lupe' asks Marisol and Chava to tell her what is going on at the factory. Chava explains about the sabotage and the money the Ripoll factory owes to Silvetti. Lupe' assumes that the Ripolls can afford it and is shocked when Chava tells her that Sofia doesn't have the money and that the factory was used as collateral for a loan to expand business into South America. Chava is positive that Pato and Renzi are the rat bastards behind the sabotage. Chava just has to prove it. Lupe warns Chava not to do anything stupid. Chava is upset that he can't help Sofia financially. He's got to get back to racing and win some money to help her out. He can't stand to see her suffering!

Alone in her room, Sofia prays to the Virgin for help.

Renzi tells Pato that the story about Ripoll's contaminated chocolate will be in tomorrow's newspaper. All it took was a phone call and a check with a lot of zeroes on it! Pato flashes an evil grin, "I'm going to destroy you, Sofia!"

In the morning, Fausto rushes in to wake Sofia. He hands her the paper and tells her to read the headline. "Mexico's Most Important Chocolatier Sells Contaminated Products". Sofia is shocked, "This could be the end of Ripoll! This isn't true! None of the contaminated chocolate reached customers. Whoever did this is well connected."

Lupe' returns from the market with the newspaper. She shows Chava the headline. Matias sees it and says, "This will destroy the company."

Miguelina and Lucas discuss the newspaper story and Manjarres' involvement in the sabotage. Manjarres didn't care about anyone who could have eaten the chocolates. Lucas calls him a murderer.

Cristian goes to his druggy friend's house and picks up the placebo pills. He compares them to one of Greta's real pills. They are identical.

Armie takes Irma to the hospital for tests. She gets a brain scan and an MRI. The doctor can't find anything wrong with Irma's brain or spine. There is no physical reason why Irma can't walk. Her problem must be psychological. The doctor suggests therapy. Irma flatly refuses.

Lupe' prays to the Virgin to help Sofia and Chava.

Sofia gets ready to go to work. She has to face the storm that is coming.

End of Episode.

Araceli: just SUE the Ripoli's already!

Xlnt, I absolutely loved the "iceberg" ! The recap was pretty great, too. Thanks!

Greta reached a new low when she just about growled at poor Fausto. That is what it sounded like. Wonder if she will start howling from her bedroom next.

xInt, love it all.

Really surprised, Chava let's Sofia outta his sight and why he isn't sleeping on the rug at the foot of her bed.

So the poor rich girl had no liquidity, how was she gonna sponsor Salvador, break into her own piggy bank? Those girls and Salvador are ok asking the employees, who are not the cause of this mess the owners are, to work overtime at no compensation, the least the girls could do is have a garage sale.

Love it Sofia told Alexa to stay at home.

tofie, that was great when Sofía told Alexa to just stay home.

Just thinking about Alexa who could only muster one feeble ¡ostras! In the episode. Her 2 identifying phrases have disappeared woth her confidence. Btw, what kind of dress is she wearing? Looks like a bad ballet costume for someone who is going to dance the dying duck.

Anyway, the best part of course was Benito, after luckily surviving one more day in Irma's household, happily grunting good night to Armando on the phone.

Ha! Where do you get these funny pics, Xlnt? I love the lettuce and cucumber. :)

I was hoping Alexis could be useful by using her showbiz/media connections to find out who wrote the column and then who his source was. I didn't feel bad for Sofia telling her NOT to return to the factory. Isn't that what she wanted in the first place when she decided to ignore her work at the company? In any case, it would be good if she could redeem herself somehow. Uncovering Pato, Renzi or Silvana would be a great way to so that.

"does a brain scan and MRI." Going over the test results with Armie the doctor is mystified that neither a brain nor spine was found..

By the way, I think Sofia is as much to blame for leaving her flaky sister with NO business experience in charge of a multinational company, as I blame said flaky sister who completely blew off trying to do anything for the business.

Dancing the dying duck ? LOL LOL!

Alexa just wants to be an actress!

Can't wait to see where the money for the payment will come from.

Must see tv tonight

Thanks Xlnt---Yes there is an iceberg dead ahead.
the gringo

Gringo, I'm waiting to see how Greta will up the ante tonight!

Thanks, Xlnt. Love the lettuce pic and caption.

I don't mind Alexa feeling bad about having blown off Ripoll as CEO, but ITA Sofia is to blame. Any even more so now that in the aftermath of the contamination she continues to have Silvana as head of HR. Hasn't anybody asked Silvana how she could hire a guy and have him working on the factory floor all in the same day, without reference and background check or training? What was the rush? If it wasn't for Lucas, they'd still be clueless about how this happened.

I don't think Alexa worth much and not giving her a pass but this is Sofia's fault, bailing before the shipment of product to South America, that was supposed to satisfy the creditors and put them over the top. Any CEO worth a nickel would see that through. Now, to have her bf under her feet, while dealing with the crisis, unprofessional at best and pathetic.

Thank you XLNT -- great pic!

Jarifa, "dying duck dance" love it!

Her outfit also reminded me of the circus act of women balancing on top of ponies. Awful, just awful -- a Project Runway reject.

And that dress was worn just for her meeting with her co-star she wants to impress. I'm sure after crawling around the warehouse them feathers stank. Buzzard feathers surely.
