[Here are a few more details for you from ViviDC that merit being included. --edit.]
Mateo blabbed to Fausto that he and Diana have been seriously seeing each other for a year, not the short, non-serious flirtation Diana had led Fausto to believe. Diana's excuse was that she loves Fausto and wants to be his wife. She's getting tired of living in the shadows. Diana also swore to Fausto that she and Mateo have NEVER had sex. Fausto is her only man.Mateo would marry her. She pressures Fausto to get rid of Renata and marry her. Both Fausto and her aunt point out that he would be left with nothing if he divorced Ren. Her basic reply is if there is a will, there's a way.
Fausto's reaction to this is to think real hard about Ren and their marriage, the benefits (money, power), and the lack of benefits (no sex, no kids). Hearing Pat telling Mateo about having to give Ren a sedative because of her nightmares, seemed to change his mind about raping her. Why? Maybe he likes his victims completely awake? Or maybe he realized Mateo and Pat would hear the screams and beat the crap out of him? Anyway, when she wakes up in the morning they argue about him being in her room, the long ago rape, why she won't have bis kids, and then he asks for her help help convincing Mateo to dump Diana. Ren is amused by this because she suspects Diana is his mistress.
Simona took Mateo to treat the sick baby of a poor neighbor. She tells Mateo she has been nominated by one of the parties to run for mayor. Mateo thinks this is great, but tells her Fausto has been nominated by another party. This makes Simona more determined to run.
The couple getting it on was glasses sister and the mechanic. Meanwhile, the other sister was getting it on with Simona's barely legal son. Both had to escape through the window. Both were paid for their services by the sisters. The sisters' maid (Abi's friend) is the one who caught them, but she doesn't seem to disapprove.
Diego and Benito were trying to convince some of the men at the cantina to leave Fausto and to come work with them. Lucio and Fausto didn't like this one bit. Fight!
Fausto paid Lucio well for being his whipping boy and taking the blame for kicking out Mat's mom. Lucio then revealed to Fausto that Macacria is planning to betray Fausto and tried to enlist him. Fausto tells Lucio that Mac has the gun they killed Pedro with. They plan that Lucio will pretend to go along with Mac's plan, and find out where she has that gun.
Meanwhile, it seems that Mac just keeps the gun in her bedroom just wrapped in a handkerchief, while she talks crazy holding it. When Abi goes out for a midnight stroll, Mac accuses her of having been out having sex with Diego and that she'll come back pregnant by a peon, just like Renata...She stops herself before she spills anymore beans.
Mateo, Patricio and Ren all decide to eat in the kitchen, leaving Fausto alone at the big table. This is in solidarity with Abi, who Fausto has now banned from the big table.

so..The King of Everything is making a list of pros and cons between his wife and his mistress.
It looks like the young dudes sneaking in and out of the randy sisters bedrooms is going to be a continuing theme.
cooks kichen. The previews for tonight show Fausto drowning Diana. His ego cant handle her with Mateo, he just vile man. Ita with Constanza that he is the devil. He would totally rape Abigail if he had chance.
I knew that Fausto would be a bit of a conflicted character ,we know he is an evil piece of stuff but i guess some could relate with him LOL . I loved how Di gave the middle finger to Fausto but i doubt it will last for long, money and obsession shall make a call. Also doubt that Lucio will keep the alliances straight ,he only cares about himself and his desires .If it wasnt for his emotions towards Mac ,both Faucet and Mac would be feeling his Wrath.
But he is a conflicted character as well so we shall see what the future holds for him !
The sisters are cute and all but i couldnt care less about the Brothers ,they only seem to serve as comic relief so far ..
Diana loves playing with fire and gambling would be an addiction if she were truly exposed to a boat up here!
I want to see more of glasses lady's hunk! YUMMY!
I thought the way Fausto made fun of Abi was kind of funny. I don't think him menacing her is funny, but the facial expression was.
"Subtle mercy" is a great way to capture that what Fausto apparently accepted to Diana's face is given the lie as shown in the avances. He really acts out what he wants to convey to achieve his ends, whether saying he forgives Diana, or saying he loves Renata. I think that makes him more dangerous.
My husband pointed out that Diego was bleeding but Fausto was unmarked. It looked like everybody got as good as they gave, so why no bruises/cuts for him?
Just some thoughts. Mostly centered around Fausto!
TN4ever
Lucio, whom I thought was going to be a minor supporting character, is now pivotal. He acts like a dunce around Fausto.
Diana--Everybody seems to know who and what she is except dunderhead Mateo. She is good at pulling the wool, then more wool over his eyes. In his bed scene, reliving the kiss he and Abi shared, he *knows* he has feelings for her. His kiss with Diana was just slobber. (And thank you, Televisa, for showing The Kiss again. After the third time, I still got some tingles out of it and he wasn't even kissing me!)
I was surprised Fausto didn't go through with the unconscious woman sex act. That would have been so ho hum. But, I think he stopped when he heard the voices of Mateo and Patricio outside the door. I think he was considering the possibility when he was stopped. That's when he began to reflect. It was kind of sad and creepy to see him sit down, cover himself with a blanket and just watch over the sleeping Renata.
Obvio, he told her he never cared for her to save face. But come on, he's had about 18 years to repair the damage between them, especially if he loved her. She was a very young girl, compared to him. We've decided he was about 30-something then? There were nearly 20 years difference between them.
Maybe he assumed that since she had had relations with said Peon Pablo, she was ready for a real man. What on earth makes men think they can conquer a female by force, especially these days (18 years ago might have been 1997--and that wasn't so long ago). [OT-it's about to happen over on Quiero Amarte today or tomorrow.]
Maybe his way of showing he loves her is by not forcing himself on her, but also by keeping her subdued and imprisoned so no one else can get to her. He should fear Patricio--a lot.
What happens if one of them dies (of natural causes or otherwise)?
If Renata had enough money stashed away to buy Fausto's ranch, surely she must have enough to get away and live comfortably. I understand she stuck around until now to be close to Abi. Why doesn't she suggest that she and Abi (and Mac) move into El Enramada and be done with it (and Fausto)?
Fausto actually does not own anything ,the fortune is all assigned to Ren's and in case of abuse ,it is all Ren's,as soon as Ren leaves or marries or annules the marriage in any way,Faucet is back to Dirt One!
Right Vivi---Abi and Ren should move into Abi's new ranch house.
Fausto can eat alone every night.
the gringo
Anon- This is the clause I'm trying to figure out. She can't leave the ranch, or what? Isn't it that if she leaves she loses rights to all the money/ranch? I thought that was the kicker and what induced the tears and wailing when the will was read.
What is Lucio going to do now? Who will he help? Fausto or Macaria?
Fausto's doing well in his portrayal. Harsh, selfish, evil, etc., yet still creates a smidgen of sorrow for his messed up heart. Or am I just too soft?
We've just received another 3 feet of snow since Friday so I have been digging out. Ugh.
Watched the episode on demand (work cancelled second day in a row).
Surprised Fausto is falling for Diana's lies. He must really be smitten. Blech.
Will go back and read the comments tomorrow - out to shovel. Again.
Diana
I'm pretty sure they were there at the reading of the will. Did they ask any questions or get any explanations from the notario?
That's where Ren should start--wanting to look at the will.
