Hasta el Fin del Mundo 20150206 Moral of this Episode: Sleep with a Ripoll Girl and they Will Help You

The CEbimbO, along with her Mimbo, explain to Silvetti that the shipment was sabotaged by her enemies.  Sophia assures Silvetti that the Ripoll Corporation has a firm policy in place against shipping contaminated products to its clients. Sophia presents Silvetti with a corrective action plan with hopes that Silvetti will not sue her.  The machinery will be sanitized and Ripoll supply him a new batch of pesticide-free chocolate at no charge. Silvetti agrees not to sue, but he doesn't want any Ripoll chocolate.  Ripoll still has enemies and he doesn't know if they will attempt poison the product again.  Silvettie offers to settle with Ripoll for a zillion dollars and he wants his all of his money by tomorrow morning...or he will sue.  Take it or leave it.  Sophia protests, but ultimately agrees to Silvetti's terms.

When Silvetti leaves, Sophia breaks down.  She tells Chava that Ripoll is broke and she doesn't have the money to cover that zillion dollar debt.  Chava asks how a big corporation like Ripoll can be broke.  She took out some loans to purchase raw materials and machinery because of the South American client.  She can't pay a zillion dollars to Silvetti, meet payroll and meet her other orders all at the same time.  To top it off, now they have to shut down production to clean the machines.  Mimbo gives her a pep talk and they pray to the Virgin Mary for guidance.

Meanwhile, back at Ripoll, some of the employees are trying to separate out the contaminated boxes of chocolate from the good boxes of chocolate.  The plan is to ship uncontaminated boxes out so that they can meet their non South American orders.  It's determined that most of the product has been contaminated. The non South American orders cannot be shipped as well.  Dani screams at Alexa and blames it all on her.  While Alexa is down, Patrick strolls in and kicks her in the gut by reminding her that this fiasco is indeed her fault.  The QA guy tries to deflect the blame to himself, but Patrick keeps rubbing it in.  He finally tells Alexa that it's not all of her fault, Sophia was to blame as well for leaving Ripoll to follow her dreams.

Back in the Ripoll main offices, Silvana and Patrick discuss how dumb the CEBimbo and her Mimbo are and I couldn't agree more with them.  Silvana deliberately told Noemi that the company is bankrupt and the employees may not get their severance pay.  She knows that Noemi will open her big trap and news will spread.  Silvana laughs and says that Sophia is stupid enough to tell the truth and tell the employees that Ripoll is busted.  While Silvana is speaking, Noemi has assembled most of the staff out in the hallway for an impromptu "we're not getting paid, so your pitchfork ready" meeting.

When the CEbimbO and her Mimbo return, Chava demands to know why Patrick met alone with Silvetti.  Patrick ignores him, so Sophia repeats the question.  Patrick says that as the CFO, his duty is to protect the company at all costs.  He visited Silvetti to negotiate with him and beg him not to sue the nuts out of Ripoll. Chava doesn't believe a word of it. Sophia tells Patick and Silvana that Silvetti agreed not to sue them, but they will have to pay a zillion dollars.  She orders Patrick to check all the accounts and get the blood out of a turnip.  Silvana tells Sophia that Noemi has spread the word that Ripoll is broke and probably not meet payroll.  Silvana tells Sophia to call an immediate employee meeting.

The Ripoll sisters stand at the podium and Sophia tells the employees that Ripoll is toast unless everyone works overtime to decontaminate the machines and meet production.  There is lots of murmuring.  Chava takes the mic and reminds that employees that they all live in the neighborhood and in this neighborhood everyone helps their neighbor.  He reminds the employees how the Ripoll girls have helped everyone in the building who has slept with one of them.  Armando stands up and seconds Chava's declaration.  He too has slept with a Ripoll girl (Alexa) and for that, Ripoll paid all of his wife's medical bills after she tried to jump off of a roof because she found out that he was sleeping with a Ripoll girl!  Lucas didn't immediately jump up, but we all know that he would have...had he known that he won the guitar with Dani's help.  Anyways, all of the pigeons (I mean employees) in the auditorium agree to help the neighbor! They will stay up all night to help the poor little rich girls!

Later, in the hall, Mimbo tells Patrick that he's busted.  Chief Fuzzy is on to him and Renzi.  Patrick and I both agree that Chava is indeed and idiot.  Patrick tells Chava that he's jealous of Patrick's degree.  Armando holds Chava back from punching Patrick.  Armando feels like punching Chava when he finds out what Chava told Patrick.  Chava suggests that they break into Renzi's office to get evidence against the two cousins.

Very funny recap! "we're not getting paid, so your pitchfork ready meeting" "how the Ripoll girls have helped every one in the building who has slept with one of them." had me laughing. Thanks, Cynderella.

How long before it all closes down since the company was used as collateral for the previous loans?

Will a bankrupt Greta be dragged in her bed screaming from the mansion?

Will the Ripoll girls and Greta move in with Sofía's future mother in law Lupe since everyone else lands there?

Will that mope Greta ever stop moaning and complaining and just thinking of herself?

Will Chava get a job as a motivational speaker to support them all?

How long till Irma slips up and someone other than Benito catches her walking?

How long before Araceli sues Ripoll over the stolen recipes because she can?

How long will Isadora and Javier be on their excellent adventure?

Jarifa, my thoughts:

1.) Patrick & Silvania are right about Sophia being incompetent into trusting Alexa to handle Ripoli.

2.) Chava blurting out everyone sleeping with the Ripoli girls during a press conference was out of line. Surprised he wasn't thrown out of the premises.

3.) Araceli pulling a Greg Abbott & suing the pants out of Ripoli isn't surprising! I can't wait until an anvil hits her when its revealed that she & Sophia are sisters!

4.) Irma: you're going to get BUSTED sooner or later!

5.) Paco needs to make sure Lupe doesn't get weak under Javier's con-game!

6.) Alexa getting the bashing treatment from Patrick was no shocker!

7.) Will Greta find out about Silvetti threatening to sue Ripoli ?

Cynderella, I belly laughed all the way through and you embellished nothing.

"CEbimbO, along with her Mimbo"

"how the Ripoll girls have helped every one in the building who has slept with one of them."

The funny thing is Salvador really thinks he is a big dog now, on that leash, when all he can provide is a growl, leg hump and face lick.

Wonder if Patricio will tell Greta what has happened or the board. The board ain't gonna be happy.

Should Araceli sue, her timing is horrible. She'll get nothing for her effort.

The person with all the power, and doesn't realize it, is Irma. She could bring the whole thing down by telling Chief Fuzzy she was tossed off that building.

Alexa is a train wreck

Well at least Javier and Isadora haven't a care in the world and have a heck of a lot more in common than any of the other couples.

Tofie, problem is Irma will NEVER tell Chief Tavares what happened anytime soon because of her bruised EGO in manipulating both Armando & Nandito!

No she won't tell, but if she did, could win the day and be the heroine and have a street named for her. She wouldn't need Armando then, for the proposals would rain in.

Tofie, in other words: Irma will never tell what really happened until around Gran Final!

Thanks Cynderella! I missed the first segment of this episode, you filled in splendidly!

I don't understand what the problem is in the warehouse. Pato said that the production was labeled by date and time before Alexa took the reins of the company. He said Alexa didn't change anything so they should still be able to sort out the boxes. Anything BP (before pesticides) should be okay. Do they just not want to go through all the boxes?

If the pesticide had an odor, which Sofia noticed upon opening the box of candy Silvetti gave her, why didn't anyone notice the odor while the candy was coming off the production line?

Steve, wasn't there a scene in the avances of Fausto reading on the newspaper's front page that Ripoll Chocolates was on the ropes (so to speak)? If that was not just in my sleepy head, then Greta will know in no time at all.

Jarifa

Why not have the pet mini-pig sniff out the pesticide-laden chocolates? He could probably do it faster than any human.

Thanks, Cyn! It sounds like when Sofia went away for a few days, everyone at Ripoll stopped working. How are things so disorganized that they don't know the difference between the chocolates contaminated before and after that date?

Yes, why hasn't Sofia brought out the corporate lawyers?

Greta will blame Chava & his family for the incident!

I am most pissed that Grrrreta is not enjoying this down at the all nighter with everyone else. Hey Grrreta you dishonest old hag, you didn't mind getting involved enough to reinstate Patprick, come on down and have the big one right on a pallet of chocs.

And for the "name calling police" I actually do not dislike Grrreta, but my character wants to kill her character. :-)

Thank you Cynderella for your fine weekend recap.

IS IT TRUE??? I just can't believe that Chava told the employees that anyone that has slept with a Ripoll girl has received a lot of help. Who would ever say something like that let alone tell the entire company. No man would say that, how insulting.

If that was actually said, it is just unbelievable. Another thing that is unbelievable it to tell the/your enemy that the police are on to you. QUE? What idiot would say that, spill the beans?
You had better watch out because the police are watching you. QUE?
the gringo

gringo,

Not to worry, I think that Cynderella was being... well... Cynderella. I wasn't watching all that closely but I didn't hear anything like that. Pretty funny though... thanks Cynderella, you always manage to crack me up.

Carlos

ATTENTION ! WHEN I RECAP, I EMBELLISH SOME OF THE DETAILS! Chava did not say that. The reason I exaggerated that conversation is that Chava stood up to defend the Ripoll girls and talk about how helpful they are (Chava slept with Sophia, of course she's helpful). Armando slept with Alexa...of course she's helpful. No employee who has not slept with a Ripoll sister stood up to say how they've helped them.

Thanks Cynderella. I understood your tongue in cheek and enjoyed it immensly. Gotta admit it was ALMOST believable given that old Chava seems to not be able to stop "thinkin out loud".

Kirby, Chava should be worried about Araceli blurting out she's preggers!

Thanks, Cynderella. Utterly hiliarious. My favorite line is that Lucas would've stood up and championed the Ripoll girls too if he'd known the fix was in for him to win the guitar since he slept with Dani.

I do like Chava 2.0 when he's going head to head with Patricio, but then he has to go and do something stupid by showing his arch enemy his entire hand. Why tell Patricio what Det. Tavares is up to? Oh well, back to Patricio's camp I go.

I'm also pulling for Patricio and Silvana. Actually, Silvana is far and away my favorite on the show. It happens occasionally, I lose any sympathy toward the protagonist, it's happened here for me, after Pedro left. I know it's gotta be hard on David trying to fill those shoes, but he's not.

I don't even notice that Pedro is gone. I think it's because i think the character Chava is dumb. David has to act the part as it is written. If they write a dumb script, there is nothing that the actor can do about it.

Is it wrong to say Diego Olivera has replaced Colunga?

No shite Steve. Between suing a company with no money and being preggers by, for all practical purposes, her brother, ole Aircell got it goin on. Chava has his hands full right now. Can't Aircell just take Irkme and go away, far far away?

Poor Sofia. She aint too good in a sabotage crisis but she DOES rock a tiny blue bikini. I know woof woof. I'm waggin my tail.

Thanks Carlos and Cynderella. I know that Chava isn't the brightest light bulb around but oh my gosh, I just couldn't believe that he would say something like that.

Will they be able to raise the money? There isn't much time to pass a collection plate.

Tofie---I liked Pedro Fernandez in the role also. He had a folksy charm that went perfectly with Sophia.

Kirby---What man wouldn't have a deep appreciation for that tiny blue bikini?
the gringo

Gringo, I also liked Pedro Fernandez in the role. One of my issues now is that I keep picturing him in certain scenes imagining how he would have done them. In that instance I feel sorry for David Zepeda having to follow such a popular actor/performer.

Jarifa

Jarifa, I, too, keep imagining Pedro Fernandez in the role...which would have suited him so well at this point, minus the kissy-face scenes. This poor David Zepeda just seems so "thin" about the whole thing. I keep watching and reading your re-caps because this is the oddest casting I've come across and am wondering if, by some truly weird chain of events...Pedro may come back. I realize that's pure fantasy but can't help wishing anyway. Does Pedro still have a career in novelas? Or is the music career what's left and is that still going strong?
