♥ Mi Corazón es Tuyo ♥ Lunes 2/16/15 ♥ #149 ♥

Capitulo 149: The Beginning of the End   OR   The World According to Zerobela

Chicago Club: Hissabruja sat at a table in her ridiculous drag gloating to her imaginary audience how she will out Ana as the slut she hopes she is.

How did that waitress not see that the fake mustache is not only fake, but on crooked?” asked Hera. “It's so obvious.”

You know what, Madrastra?” said Hermes. “I'll bet that disguises aren't that unusual at a place like that. Imagine all the men who wouldn't want it known that they go there.”

I guess I understand that. Why wouldn't they be ashamed to look lustfully at women they're not married or engaged to?” Hera was not amused.

Margarita's Apartment: León tried to reach Fanny but didn't get an answer. Reina was making coffee while talking about Laura. She finally asked León how he could possibly forget Fanny when she is the love of his life.

Lascuráin Mansion: In her bedroom, Fanny looked at the birthday present from León, still wrapped as he had brought it. She finally opened it and looked at the drawing, putting it face down on the desk and sighing, thinking that the pain would have to go away little by little.

In the kitchen Ana was brewing tea for herself and Fernando. She told him she doubted that Fanny loved Lenin no matter how interesting she found him intellectually. She was convinced that Fanny still loved León. They agreed that looking to the heart in this situation was the right thing.
The phone rang, Ana answered, and it was Yolanda. Ana mouthed her name to Fernando, then asked why she was calling. Yolanda asked her if she could think of a reason for Hissabela to leave the house disguised as a man. Ana was surprised.

Chicago Club: Dana and the other chorus girls were dancing on the stage while Hissabela sarcastically gloated about how Fernando won't like that his beloved Ana deceived him about this all this time.

Can't we do anything about this now?” asked Apollo. “This is not going to end well.”

I know, Dad,” said Eros. “We can only hope my arrows are as potent as usual.”

Lascuráin Mansion: Ana had finished talking to Yolanda and asked Fernando if he could think of a reason why La Tarantula would go out in male disguise. He found that curious.

Chicago Club: As she served the ordered martini, the dark-haired waitress asked La Tarantula whom she was talking to across the room. Hissabruja waved her off with a cryptic comment and picked up the drink.

The Following Morning

Lascuráin Mansion: The friend who helped Ana with Nando's makeover came over with clothes for Ana to shop for for her trip to the beach. Ana balked at the idea of a bikini, telling Fanny “Your dad is very conservative,” which caused Fanny to pick up a strapless one-piece for her inspection. Ana picked up a couple of things to try on. Fanny then asked in a slightly roundabout way whether they were planning to vo-de-oh-doh-doh and Ana tried to evade that one. Fanny tried to get her to look at more stuff, but Ana told her they'd only be away for two days.
She went behind the screen we didn't see to try on the bathing suits while Fanny and the saleswoman talked about more stuff. Fanny's cell rang and she checked the caller ID. It was León and she didn't answer. She was clearly disturbed.

Since when is it appropriate for young adults to ask about their parents' sex lives?” asked Hera. “Was I somehow unconscious for two millennia?”

No. But this seems to be an exceptional case,” said Aphrodite. “Remember that this road has gone the other direction before.”

With the appropriate discomfort on the father's part; yes, I remember. But this is a new one for me.”

La Costeña: Fernando was looking at his computer screen as Beatriz started talking about his travel plans. She had booked him into the best suite at the best hotel and went over to his side of the desk to help him book the flight online.
Hissabela entered during this and was told that Fernando and Ana were going off to the beach. She said she had to talk business with him, Beatriz exited saying she would book a first-class flight and take care of everything else.
As Fernando said they were leaving early the next morning Hissabela flashed back to when she walked in on him showing the engagement ring to Beatriz and how Beatriz got excited about it.
And how Hissabruja was attempting to curse it. She was lost in this fantasy just long enough to miss him starting to ask questions.
Finally she handed him a tablet with a chart and looked as though she was reminding herself to be alert.

Lascuráin Mansion: Fanny and Ana had two full shopping bags in front of them and Fanny commented on what awesome stuff they bought. Ana was getting nervous because she still hadn't fessed up to the Chicago issue. Fanny told her not to worry about it, that she and Fernando would be so happy together and that she was such a great thing in their lives, etc.
They hugged. Ana still looked worried.

That evening Ana entered the library where Fernando was at his desk, as usual. She told him she had to go out for a little while to see Jennifer and Johnny. He offered to drive her, but she said she would take a cab. He was going over the final details of their trip and she was getting impatient. She told him she wanted to pay part of the bill but he would not hear of it. Te amos and besos, por supuesto. Fernando asked if Johnny was having problems because he was a good fellow and he wanted to help, if necessary. Ana told him “You are the best man in the world,” kissed him, and said there were no problems. She left.

Car: Hissabela – again in her disguise – ranted and tantrummed behind the wheel of her car about how Fernando would be proposing to “that fifth-rate servant” at the beach.

Isabela, give it a rest,” said Athena. “You went to Harvard. You studied economics. Surely you know when something was a poor investment.”

There's nothing logical about this, dear sister,” said Aphrodite.

I guess not, but whose fault is that?”

Oh, not mine. In my book women who do what she does aren't deserving of a Felices Para Siempre.”

Chicago Club: In Gordofeo's office his two henchmen held Dana up so her feet didn't touch the floor. Ana yelled at him to stop this and he had them put Dana on the floor. He then threatened violence, grabbing Dana's head in the crook of his arm and grabbing her nose with the other hand. Ana pretended not to care, saying that Dana did what she did because she hated him, not to help her. She calmly began “dialing” her lawyer on her cell phone as she spoke of her contract and Gordofeo's silence. He released Dana, then ordered his henchmen to unhand her.
She yelled at El Gordo that he was ugly and was glad she would never have to look at him again, then kicked the dark-haired thug in the shins before exiting the room. Ana walked out behind her without allowing El Gordo to take her cell phone. He collapsed at his desk for a moment while the thug let out a cry of pain. El Gordo got up, told him to shut up, and kicked him again. He stood tall in front of Gordofeo, who told him to restrain himself. Which Gordofeo himself couldn't do as he collapsed sobbing. Both henchmen looked a little puzzled.

In the dressing room Ana was putting on makeup and Dana entered, which gave Ana the chance to tell her she was putting on an act in the office. She expressed her gratitude profusely and told Dana to run for it.
Dana left and walked out through the club room, bumping into the disguised Zerobela on the way out. She looked back for a microsecond before leaving. The waitress noticed this odd customer and pointed “him” out to the master of ceremonies as she took her serving tray.

Lascuráin Mansion: Fernando was a little nervous about the upcoming trip. Nando and Fanny teased him about it with Nando saying he looked as nervous “as I was the first time I went to Ximena's house.”

Does anyone else think this is a little inappropriate?” said Athena. “I mean, Nando is only 17 years old.”

I agree, but at least they're not expecting their father to be celibate for the rest of his life. That would be horribly selfish. It's been almost two years since their mother died. And she approves of Ana,” said Aphrodite.

Chicago Club: Lazaro, the MC, got on stage with the mike and announced Ana. The audience applauded; even the fake Charlie Chaplin did so with a disgusted expression.
Ana entered in a short white dress that was probably originally intended to mock a bridal gown. She was also wearing some truly frightening dominatrix boots which seemed to have astounded Hissabella for a moment.

Not enough, however, to make her forget to take out her cell phone to shoot a video as Ana began her best moves.  The waitress noticed.

Lascuráin Mansion: Nando and Fanny tried to reassure their dad that everything would be OK. At his question she said that Ana was as nervous or more than he was.

Chicago Club: The waitress approached Zerobela to explain that the boss didn't like customers shooting videos. She asked why and the waitress said something about the boss wanted to reserve that right for the establishment. She said to put the cell phone away.
Zerobela moved as though to obey, then pressed a bill into the waitress' hand so she would keep mum about this. The waitress left to get her another martini and Zerobela kept recording. And gloating.

When Ana climbed to the top of the pole and spiraled down with the white panties showing, Zerobela began cheering her. Ana looked as though she was trying to identify the voice. Finally she came down the pole and executed a last move.

Do something, Hermes. Please do something!” said Esefania. “I don't want this harpy to win.”

No te preocupes, dear Estefania,” he said. “She won't. No matter what happens in the next few weeks.”

Lascuráin Mansion: Nando and Fanny continued to tease their dad.

Chicago Club: The music ended and Ana turned and exited to the usual applause. Some of the men – including Lazaro – threw roses on the stage. Zerobela got up, gloating that Ana is arriving at her own tomb.

In the dressing room Ana drank some water; she had already changed out of that absurd costume. She answered her cell phone and it was Fernando, wanting to talk about the trip the next day. Lazaro came back, talking. Fernando heard the voice and Ana said that was Johnny, then quickly covered the mike on the phone. She ended the call within another minute and asked Lazaro to get the waitress to come back. He hurried out to the bar.

Zerobela was watching the video on her cell phone and gloating at the misery it would cause when she would send it the next day. She then left some money on the table and walked out.

The waitress came back to the dressing room and Ana asked about the strange man with the weird mustache. The waitress said that he had been there the day before asking for her.

She immediately remembered Yolanda's phone call and walked out into the club area to look. Of course, Zerobela had already left.

The Next Day

Beachfront: Some beautiful resort view of sea, flowers, birdies, and tropical drinks before Ana and Fernando arrived. They walked through the lobby and were greeted by the day manager. Ana kept walking to the other door to the veranda with the view of palm trees and the sea, which she had never seen (really?).
She stared out at the waves coming in, quietly thanking God before thanking Fernando and kissing him for this. They dropped their shoes on the sand and kept kissing as the waves came in. Ana finally asked whether this was a dream. Her nervousness was coming through and then she noticed that their shoes had been dragged out by the tide.

They went out to retrieve them, ending up in the surf and getting soaked.

Bruja Central: Zerobela gloated yet again at watching the video she shot on her cell phone, going on about “nananaca” and what a jewel this video would be. She laughed as she watched Ana slide head-first down the pole.
Yolanda entered with a comment about “I didn't know you liked this kind of music,” and Zerobela quickly put the phone down. At Yolanda's question she tried to say that she had a video of a Swedish stripper. Yolanda didn't seem to buy it but went on to ask about the disguise. “Ay, Yolanda, don't you know I'm a transvestite?” was the answer. It was clearly in a tone that Yolanda should have taken as an insult to her intelligence.
Ramona entered before she could react to say that dinner was ready. Zerobela told her she would take hers in her room so her mother couldn't interfere with her good mood. She exited and Ramona was mystified, saying she had never seen Hissabela in a good mood before. Yolanda agreed, saying it was very strange. And worrisome. “My daughter is executing an evil plan and it seems to be going well. My god.”

Lascuráin Mansion: Four guards were at the front of the mansion keeping watch. The kids were eating breakfast while Zeus flirted with Manuela in the kitchen. The doorbell rang and Manuela told him to answer it.

As he was about to exit the kitchen Bruno entered with a large box addressed to Fanny. They opened it on the utility table and ooohed and ahhed at the contents, which we did not see.

Beachfront: The hotel manager came out onto the sand calling for Fernando. Ana yelled at him not to yell at them, but he was there merely to tell Fernando that their room was ready. Ana was momentarily embarrassed as Fernando thanked the fellow, who then went back in. Ana then began flirtatiously talking about all the firsts of this trip and Fernando said something about hoping she will like the room.
She went on about the uneasy feeling she had in the plane but how exciting she found it in the end. And how she loved seeing the ciudad (actually the hotel).
Fernando looked down and saw some shells and suggested they pick some up to make a wish. He stopped her running closer to the sea and explained that they were to make the wish and throw the shells over their shoulders with their backs to the sea.
She was a little doubtful for a moment, then began thinking of her wish.

Flashbacks to three images of her dancing on the pole, one as “Lola.”
She crossed herself. Fernando silently wished that they would be happy forever, himself, Ana, and the children. We didn't hear her words, but she did the 1-2-3 count and they simultaneously flung the shells, which appeared to hit the water simultaneously in the same place. Ana cheered.

They embraced and Fernando brought out the romantic talk again. Ana was thrilled to pieces. More kisses.

Tengo un mal presentimiento,” said Apollo.

Yo tambien,” said Aphrodite. “You got any great ideas about what to do?”

Unless Yolanda somehow gets that cell phone away from her nasty daughter, no.”

Lascuráin Mansion: Laura arrived and had demanded to see Fanny. The guards asked whether she was a friend of Fanny's and she said “Yes. Do I have to say it again?” She looked at them as though she were a queen looking down on a peasant who hadn't bathed since the high Middle Ages and demanded to know how long they had been there.
One patiently told her it was not necessary to shout and they had been there since that morning. She insisted that they inform the major domo that she was there. He gave her a mock salute without otherwise reacting and went to do so. The other guard remained in place, staring at her. She turned her back.

In the playroom the kids were looking at online photos of the hotel when Bruno came up to tell Fanny that Laura was there waiting to see her. Fanny wasn't in the mood for this but said she would be down shortly.

Hotel: The Imperial Suite was incredible, larger than many people's homes. Ana went over to the glass doors to the veranda, then came back. She was still marveling at the size of the suite and suggested Fernando choose where they were going to go. Both looked happy.

I see her taste in clothes has improved,” said Aphrodite.

Yes; that suits her well,” said Hera. “If she is half the wife Estefania thinks she will be we should welcome her here someday.”

But how would that work? Would you have Fernando caught between two women? Do you even remotely think that they would be willing to share him?”

Good point. But we have some time to consider what to do.”

Lascuráin Mansion: Laura and her attitude waited for Fanny in the parlour. Fanny came down slowly, asking what she was there for. Laura said she was there to tell her “León is mine,”

and Fanny said, “OK, he's all yours. I give him to you.” She then turned away saying “We have nothing more to talk about,” which caused Laura to grab her arm and shout “Don't you think you can turn your back on me.” Fanny looked at her in shock.

Hotel: Ana and Fernando were on the veranda with its view of the sea, chaise lounges, hot tub, and glass safety wall.

The manager's voice came through the loudspeakers, frightening Ana. Fernando assured her that this was merely internal communication.

More romantic talk, in English this time, leading to tonight's closing kiss.

Great recap! (How far ahead are you in order to pop these out so quick?)

I was wondering whether Ana and Fer would sleep together before finding out Ana's secret. Looks like they do.

Urban, fantastic recap and screencaps. Thank you! How I am going to miss our Olympian commentators when this is over!

So, Fanny had to put a blue hat on her head to fo down and talk to Laura (?????). She needs some new friends.

Loved Isabella explaining to the waitress that she was just talking to "her secret friends" (us, I guess, in her asides) when the waitress asked who she was talking to because there clearly was nobody there. Later, her Ana impression was a hoot.

Sadly, Ana happilly took Fanny's advice and put telling Fernando the truth on the back burner again. With the info about Isabella and her disguise she got from Yolanda and her experience at the club, she must know that her time is growing short. The you know what has to hit the fan soon. Hope it does not happen on the vacation.

What ever happened to Tightbun?

Linda Tightbun went to NYC to marry an elderly millionaire. She is already a 2x widow and based on Enfrique's reaction she must be a Black Widow.

I think Ana and Fernando will get it on during this weekend at the beach if the video doesn't hit his cell phone when Isabully is planning on it. If Ana and Fernando finally do the long-overdue deed I am betting she gets pregnant on the first try, the video hits, there is a blow-up, and she finds out she's pregnant during The Separation.

There is also the possibility that Yolanda will stop this or Ana will answer Fernando's cell phone, but those are long shots.

Urban, yes, the first time sex=instant pregnancy would not surprise me.

Jarifa

Ok, I admit it, I was flipping the remote during the show last night more than I watched so your recap was especially welcome and fantastic to boot!!

I had almost hoped this whole weekend away wouldn't happen, but by TN Law No. 22, subsection A, before any Ultimates break of the couple, there must be an especially romantic interlude. Tried to watch it, but Ana's screeching and childlike behavior is starting to make me itchy-fingered with the remote. (Hearing the manager's voice reaction was a tad over the top.)This also almost guarantees Fer's reaction will be especially bad so we have the total freefall.

Did not like supposition by Ana and Fer that Fanny's love for Leon trumps all. So you don't pay attention to your warning signs, the fact the person has behavioral tendencies that should not be glossed over (tempers, violent outburst, dis-respect, etc.)...do NOT preach love conquers all when you show either the male or female as individuals with those type issues. Fanny has told Ana about her worries on that, so Ana buying into that is especially concerning. A little chat with someone doesn't make that go away.

UA and Jarifa, can I just say how wrong I hope you are about a pregnancy plot? But you're probably on to something--what a tired cliché with the one-time = pregnancy. Thought we took care of that with Isa.

So we can count on the video hitting Fer before Ana EVER says anything (or if she ever was going to). All signs point to Isa getting her revenge. Expect Fer to pull a Leon--you know, that's why they push the guy--the writers are trying to paint him as an early Fer? Ah, just no!

Anyway, so we figure Ana gets his wrath, but who else when it hits the fan who all knew? Nico and Diego better stay away from home if they know what's good for them.

What was in the freaking box?

And all the while Eeky is lurking.

Daisynjay

Will Caray bloggers be recapping the new series La Sombra del Posado?

It started last night on Univision and haven't seen any mention of it.

Excellent UA.

"“Does anyone else think this is a little inappropriate?” said Athena. “I mean, Nando is only 17 years old.” Fernando acts like a 17 year old so guess the conversation was age appropriate between bros.

It bugs the dodo out of me Ana so easily lies to Fernando. Last night he is so hopeful and nervous in anticipation and Ana working the pole and lying and she still owes Doroteo another night. It looks so much like she is playing a naive rich guy and while I know she is sincere when she tells him she loves him, I have to force myself to believe.

When Ana had the flashs before the wish, we didn't get to hear, I couldn't help thinking she was sorry to see that part of her life end, not a wish for a different future. Fernando's was about the future, Ana's the past.

Though Isabela may be the messenger she is not the cause of what will happen to Fernando. Ana, Juan, Jenny, Soledad, Nic, Diego and Fanny are.

I don't think she will be sorry it's ending because marrying Fernando will give her a new beginning. I'm sure dancing the tango with him would be more meaningful than having to zone out while dancing in front of pervs.

And if she gets pregnant within the next three episodes per my prediction, she won't be able to do the pole. I'm still peeved that Johnny thinks she will teach at his facility and promised it before discussing it with her.

Screeching, hillbilly, eight year-old mentallity, obnoxious, uncouth, like fingernails on a chalkboard. Fernando is successful, handsome, kind, educated, well traveled. Run Fernando run. Analier is so annoying and obby-noxious I am dying for her to get caught. If her screeching is nerve wracking now, do not want to hear it after her secret is being digested.
Ole Laura is frippin nervy isn't she.? First Leon's boss now Fanny and both on THEIR turf. I suppose Laura will not be welcome at Fanny's anymore.. Ironically, this was after Leon sent L packing. Wonder if she is getting a Freaky anvil.

You have to wonder if Fernando is being painted as Mr. Conservative if the writers will have him go ballistic because Ana is a provocative pole dancer, and not because she kept the secret (though that won't help). If they do that, then how do they deal with changing his attitude with so few episodes to go--Fast Forward? Or are we getting the quick temper Fer and then we deal with multiple episodes of people talking him down. Frankly, he will have a point on the secret keeping.

I was thinking of the context of these two if this was real life: President and Chairman of the Board of a major manufacturing company, and his fiance turns out to be a pole dancer in a sleazy entertainment bar. Can you see the newspapers and tabloids? What the heck will that do to the kids at school in real life?

So what I just hate about this whole plot line is the damage to the little ones. Even that poor Isaless child has been nurtured and raised by Ana more than anyone. Seeing Luz crushed again...sorry. That's just heartless. Sometimes I wonder if Osorio loves to put kids in danger, overly sad situations to tug at his viewers in the ultimates. It's PEAM all over again--and then they miraculously bounce back, no harm done, as the lovebirds wrap things up at the end.

I'm sticking to the end, but remind me if I ever show up on the boards for an Osorio comedy to back away slowly from the laptop and TV.

UrbanA: Great convo's between the Greek gods once again:

“Does anyone else think this is a little inappropriate?” said Athena. “I mean, Nando is only 17 years old.” --ITSA
Also got a great laugh at this:

"She looked at them as though she were a queen looking down on a peasant who hadn't bathed since the high Middle Ages"

Daisynjay, I am inclined to agree.

Children-in-jeop might make for ratings but it is in questionable taste. Although Fernando's kids are in much worse danger from Enfrique than from Gordofeo.

What I'd love to see happen is for Ana to get away with the lie and Gordofeo get what's coming to him. That does run against the tide, but there have been past incidences of villains being punished for only 2/3rds of their crimes. It should balance things out to have a protagonist able to hide an egregious mistake.

Osorio has an uneven track record with dramas, but one in particular includes serious emotional child abuse: Mi Pecado. What Rosario did to Lucrezia in that series was unforgiveable.

Laura has no excuse for her behavior. Ximena has a brain chemical issue solvable by meds; Laura just likes to play games. Fanny will have no further use for her after this last scene because she knows this.

What were the avances shown here?

Urban, the avances show Fernando and Ana having a romantic night together, Isabella reviewing the Ana video saying how she'd like to be there when Fernando sees it, and Isabella holding her baby asking what will Fernando do when he finds out Ana is a pole dancer in a low class club.

Jarifa

What has been mystifying me for a little while is how men in such a paternalistic culture would find pole dancing erotic when

-- it requires considerable upper-body strength to do
-- the women aren't naked or even topless.

Ana has been well--qualified to teach this for fitness for a long time. It has to have been a lack of confidence that kept her from escaping from Gordofeo before the curtain came up on this tale.

Jarifa, I think the last line of the previews Hisabella said what will Fer do when Luz finds out Ana is a dancer in a )*)* club.

UA, ITA with your take on Ana not missing the pole dancing at all if she gets her dreams to come true and she can dance the night away with Fernando anytime she wants. Besides, between having babies, she can practice/teach the pole dancing at Johnny's club when she gets the itch of the dancing (NOT the itch of doing it in front of men).

One detail i caught, not sure if anyone cares but it does go along with Ana's reactions in the beach and hotel, and I, for one, am SO GLAD we were spared of this at the plane trip if it happened like she said..
she said that when the plane landed she stood up and cheered loudly at the pilot with the spelling 'gimme a P!!! gimme a I!!...' and Fernando told her that everyone on the plane was laughing out loud at her gimmick. well, if he has 'grown out' of being ashamed at her peculiar /folkloric/ colorful gimmicks, then he HAS changed for real.

btw, UA, awesome recap, photos and comments from Mt. O, as always.

You are probably right, Marta.

Jarifa

Dear UA,
This is a great recap and you have some wonderful screenshots. I will not see this episode for a few days -- at my mother's with limited internet access -- but I feel like I have seen the real thing.

I am with Hera and Athena -- TMI to discuss with older children.

It bothers me, too, how easily Ana lies to Fernando. However, she does feel guilty about that and knows that she is wrong. This doesn't excuse it, just shows how great her fear is of losing Fernando and the children.

My greatest fear is that this will result in them breaking up and not getting back together until Luz graduates from college... or never.

Oh, Marta, I hadn't caught that about the plane trip. May the gods and goddesses be blessed, they spare that for us.

Question to ask Fer is, were they laughing WITH Ana, or AT Ana. I'm sorry, I fly on business a lot, and if someone had started doing that on a major flight, there would be a lot of head shaking, whispers of someone had WAYYYY too many of those little cocktail bottles and a steward trying to shut said person up since we were still taxing.

I'm baffled why this is supposed to come off as cute anymore? At the start I think it was meant to show a certain level of innocence, which directly contrasted with what Ana did for a living, but now, it just seems rude and inconsiderate of others.

Daisynjay

I agree. Where is Henry Higgins when we need him?

UA: I'm curious as to why you keep saying that you are afraid that Ana and Fer won't get together at the end. My TN watching history is fairly new, but I have yet to see one where the leads don't get together. I know it happens, but isnt it rare? Does Osario have a habit of it? He didn't in PEAM.

Nanette

I think we are headed for a big break-up but then there will be so many folks on Ana's corner... starting with the kids, at least the 5 younger ones plus Fanny... (Nando is too much like Fernando to not side with him)
So i keep saying it will be others, possibly including the kids and relatives and friends (betty?) to vow for Ana... but the big turnaround i see when Fernando finds out about the baby's paternity and he puts 'who told me the BIGGEST MOST CRITICAL LIE and made me look MORE like a fool' on the balance.

It bugs me because The Big Reveal should have happened about 30-40 episodes ago. That should have been followed by about 15 episodes of angst and then 5 leading up to the reconciliation because they will need a strong bond to fight the evil ones.

But wait... those are the rules for a drama.

But Osorio seems to break a lot of rules and this whole Alternate Ending thing is another fly in the ointment. While one of the alternate endings of Teresa would have been completely appropriate, the alternate ending (online only) of LQLVMR would have been a complete downer.

And since Osorio said the series will not end with a wedding what else can we think?

I agree, UA. this is an Osorio project and he has his own writing style/wrapping style for novelas...

I do see Ana/Fer wedding, so if Osorio said it is not how it ends, i still see the wedding happening in or near the last week, then, as you said, them making a strong team front to fight the remaining evil entities.

I would have brought the big reveal after Ana had told Soledad the truth... Soledad SHOULD have encouraged her to come straight with Fernando if not right then, right after the new year. Not wait for a 'miracle'.

Marta: I was thinking the same thing about the wedding. It could be before the grand final.

If they are going to pair Fanny with someone at the end--though she's too young--I'd like to see Osario do a switcharoo and have her fall in love with Lenin. I was just talking to Flaco about the differences between the two "Ls" and realized that Lenin may be a better choice for her. Leon has a temper and major jealously issues and has a young son. Lenin is growing up.

Daisynjay, you have an excellent point about Ana's behavior in public. They seem mismatched.

If Ana lies about something like this and includes some of his family in the deception, how on earth would Fernando believe she nor they would do it again? He cannot. If she does something else, believes she will lose him, she will lie again and again and again. The end justifies the lie.

I don't see it a win for Fernando when he takes Ana back because her deception comparatively less egregious because it didn't include the paternity of a child. He's still been made a fool of, one by a woman he cares nothing about and one he completely trust and loves. I say Ana's deception much more painful.

Here's an awful thought: Ana gets pregnant, the Big Reveal happens, and Ana goes back to El Oro with her mother. Fernando goes after her and she doesn't take him back because the motherhood hormones have taken over and she no longer wants him.

Since Mexico leads Latin America in the percentage of unwed mothers I'm surprised no novela producer has taken this route.

Wow. Laura has gone from painfully catty to downright Coo-Coo for Cocoa Puffs. She has burned a bridge the size of the Golden Gate accosting Fanny in her own house.

Let's see. Who has she turned from a friend to enemy?
1. Fanny
2. Leon
3. Freeky
4. Reina
5. Ximena
6. Eatit
7. Me

Interesting thought...if Fer blows up and kicks Ana to the curb, if only for a while, who takes the care of the kids..and especially little Diego? I can't imagine Soledad will stay in the house ( or he wants her to). Manuela--she has to cook. Fanny has school, etc.

This should prove rather interesting. And I think we are being set up for a myriad of possibilities on the alternate endings. Osorio said no wedding, so if he doesn't do it prior to the fnale, we could have an option of those two at least making up and him proposing again, but then you wonder what the heck else could be the alternates. Are the alternates nothing but the teenage romances...perish the thought. And I read somewhere there would be a dance number at the end? WTH? If each ending is a musical number finalizing the plot, I offer to flip for an industrial size box of TUMS for all of us to share.

Daisynjay

The perfect match is still Johnny and Ana, two rather dim-witted people. That would leave Jennifer, who does have a brain, to go on with her life, single and happy about it, and hopefully able to adopt a baby on her own. Johnny is sooo beneath her.

tofie, you do have a great point about Ana possibly lying again to Fernando if she attempts to avoid him some pain or avoid the kids from some punishment(God forbid... Cancelo! Cancelo!)... but i don't see her having to lie about something THAT serious or THAT critical for THAT long... We have seen them (Ana and Fernando) bounce thoughts off each other when it comes to the kids and the kids relationships... then again, the precedent is there, isn't it?

(that whole convo in kitchen with Ana saying Fanny is thinking with her head not with her heart and Nando thinking with his heart and not his head made me get an instant headache ... oh and don't get me started on that joke of hers about the difference of 'en base a' and 'en base en' [in regards to] that made him so confused he laughed it off ... GMAB!!!)

Thank you UA, very thorough as always.

I think the writing is on the wall with regards to Leon and Fanny. She has avoided using the L word with Lenin, and Leon has already admitted that he still loves Fanny.

I agree with everyone about Nando being included in the grownup talk about Fer's trip to the beach with Ana.

Also, I can't stand the baby talk that Ana does with Fernando. Yuck!

I hadn't thought about the idea that Ana could get pregnant. But that is a common cliche in TNs, she finds out she's pregnant, she tries to tell Fernando but he just found out about Chicago dancing and has a huge fight about it and they break up. She never tells him her big news, she leaves town and has the baby all by herself with her mother. After the baby is born, Fernando gets the scoop about why she never quit dancing for Doroteo, he feels bad once he hears how Doro made her dance to pay back the loans, he looks her up and finds her, and then discovers that he has a ninth child.

Did they mention what beach they went to? This novella seems to have an abundance of establishing shots with caption to indicate "Estado de Mexico", but I did not see one for the beach.

Ana preggers? Nooooo! That would be so lame. It happened once and that was one too many times. Let's wrap up this novella some other way.

UA, can you take that last screen shot and slap a "Fin" onto it?

Agree in that Ana's antics now seem out of place. They were ok at first, but at this point in the story she should have changed some, much like Fernando has. It is nice seeing her so spontaneous, but so much that there will be combustion.

The biggest reason I can see her getting pregnant is that in the opening episode she indicated she wanted to have children before it was too late. When Johnny heard that his facial expression said it better than any words: "I'm not up for this."

Fernando is everything Johnny wasn't in that opening episode and he's also rich. By all TN rules it was inevitable that Ana would fall in love with him.

Under the heading of "Be Careful What You Wish For" I can see it happening just as the bomb is about to explode.

I think men believe it's erotic because of what it implies. IMHO

1) the pole is a phallic symbol

2) the majority of the pole dance is spent "rubbing" oneself against the pole (phallus )

3) and grinding one'side pelvis against the pole (phallus)

4) when the pelvis isn't in action, the chest is, thrusting itself against the pole

5) and upper torso and arm exercises / strength make the natural bust even that much bigger.
