Hasta el Fin del Mundo #140 20150305 The Secret That No One Kept is Finally Out!

Snob Hill

Dining Room:  Greta confesses to the girls that Paco Fernandez, was her soul mate and is Sophia's biological father.  Alexa accuses Greta of being a gold digger and using Octavio for his money.  Greta agrees that she didn't love Octavio and used him for his cash, but she rewarded him by keeping his secret and being the best wife EVER! Octavio was always second best in her heart, but he kept her and her mother from the skid row bread line and he deserved her loyalty.  Alexa is surprised to learn that Fausto knew everything and he broke the Maury news to Paco.  Alexa wants to know what other secrets Greta is keeping from the family.  She points out that Paco practically lives across the street from Ripoll and Greta never told Sophia that he is her father.  She says that Greta is horrible for letting Sophia mourn over a dead guy.  After begging the girls to forgive her for the mistakes that she made boldly and on purpose, Greta leaves the room.  Fausto encourages the girls to forgive their mother.  He says the most important thing is that the truth is finally out!  Sophia agrees.

Meanwhile, Igor is listening at the kitchen door.  He wants to take water to the family, but Miggie and the other maid prevent him from going in.  Miggie tells him to make some of his relaxing teas because the family's gonna need it.  Later, Igor is shown in Greta's art den rifling through her chest.  He removes a photo of Octavio from a photo album and stuffs it into his shirt before leaving the room.  Igor takes the photo to Greta's bedroom, lays it on her bed and hides when he hears Greta approach.

Greta enters the bedroom and freaks out when she sees the picture.   While Greta runs to get Fausto, Igor reappears, removes the picture from the bed and hurries out of the bedroom.   Greta returns to the bedroom with Fausto and points to the bed.  Fausto does not see the photo.  Greta insists that the photo was there.  Fausto suggests that she take a long hot bath and chase it with a few Xanax.  He thinks that the stress of all that unusual truth and honesty is causing her to hallucinate.  When Greta checks the album, the picture is still missing.  Greta thinks that Octavio is punishing her for telling his secret.  When she leaves the art den, Igor replaces the picture.

The Hood

Casa de Fernandez:  Paco has just informed Araceli that Sophia is his daughter.  Araceli does not take the news well.  She threatens to run away from home if Paco allows that boyfriend/daddy stealer into their humble home.

Renzi Evil Real Estate Agency

While Nandito is taking his tae qwon do class, Armando and Chava decide to use their down time to rack up some felony charges by committing a B & E with grand theft.  The plan is for Armando to distract the real estate agent with sales talks while Chava searches Renzi's office for evidence.  Although Chava manages to pick the lock on Renzi's office door in record time, he has trouble managing the more complicated lock on the file cabinet.  Anyways, Chava finally opens it and finds a document showing that Ciprano Fuentes is the the president of the Evil Real Estate Agency.  Chava is impactada and so am I.

 Other News:
  • Dulliver tells his dad that he's started a band.  Peralta is furious to learn that it's not an evil band.  You would have to be a fan of Austin Powers to get that.
  • Armando and Nandito have a man to man talk about Irma.  He asks Armando not to be angry at Alexa.  Nandito will spend the night with Armando.  Chava will break the news to Irma.
  • Sophia and Dani visit Greta's room at different times and forgive her.  Sophia tells Greta that she's in love with Chava and Greta has to accept him. Greta asks Dani if she's happy with Dulliver.  Dani says that he ain't no Lucas and she feels like she never feel like she feel with her soul mate (Lucas) again.
  • Sophia receives Silvana's resignation letter.  Dani will be the new H.R. director.
  • Araceli visits Irma and tells her that Sophia is Paco's daughter.  Irma encourages Araceli to move out.
  • Silvana remembers good times with Patrick like her miscarriage, her marriage proposal/blackmail and begging Peralta not to kill her.
  • Araceli tells Irma that Paco is Sophia's daughter.  Dani tells Dulliver.  Lupe tells Lucas, Marisol and Matias.
  • Igor tells Dani that she is cute and kind.  He will never do anything outside or inside the house to hurt her except for killing her mother.

Hello Cyn, and thank you for the
review!

It looks like Paco is going to wimp out and allow the petulant one to have her way. That's pretty pathetic on his part if he allows this to happen. I do blame this on him because he handled it in the worst possible way. He should have thought about all of this before he told Sofia and especially before he told Arecily. Could he have actually been that dumb not to realize this was going to happen. Arecily told him that he blames Greta for what happened to her mother and he thinks she will just forget that and move on? And what's up with other people talking about how eventually Arecily's good heart will allow her to accept this. Have they been paying attention? They sound like a bunch of idiots. Arecily hates Sofia!

Irma, Irma/ I believe there is a special place in hell for a woman like this. Where as I find Isabella from M.C.E.T comical because she tries to hard to be a villain and it comes across as funny to me, Irma plays it right. I despise her truly for what she is doing to her son and now to Arecily and Paco. And why is Arecily suddenly listening to someone she knows is not mentally stable?

If Paco has some sense he would call Arecily on this. He had no problem rebuking her when she didn't know about Sofia and criticized her, but now he's going to cave in to her tantrums.

Greta has finally gotten Sofia to forgive her and she allowed pato to bring another lie into the equation. If Sofia finds out, could be the final straw. She should've confessed it was her during there intimate moment.

Armando/son/Irma, same ole, same ole. Boring.

Chava breaking into the office was incredibly dumb but it looks like it worked out. I don't know what the paper said that caused him such shock but must be damaging.

Cynderella, great recap! Thanks!

So, playing with old Octavio's photo is all Iker had planned for Greta? Not that it didn't do the trick . . . I am still hoping for him to don a costume and pay Greta a visit in the middle of the night.

Too much forgivesness too soon for Greta from Sofía and Dani. What? This all happened in one evening and Fausto works some magic and those two forgive Greta for all of the pain she has caused them in their lives? Don't think so. Alexa's reaction was much more appropriate.

Bryan, Araceli is listening to her crazy cousin Irma because Araceli is crazy, too.

I wonder where Silvana is driving to or if she is just driving in circles.

Jarifa

Fantastic Cynderella. Your title hit the nail on the head - so true!

"Alexa is surprised to learn that Fausto knew everything and he broke the Maury news to Paco" and "Silvana remembers good times with Patrick like her miscarriage, her marriage proposal/blackmail and begging Peralta not to kill her" were among my favorites.

There are many disturbed individuals here - take your pick. I'm nominating Sil to go to the bead of the class. As you noted Cynderella, her love for poisonous Pato is beyond comprehension.

As much as I've criticized Araceli (with fairly good reason), she has received some major, earth-shattering, life changing news. If I were Paco, I might give her a chance to let things absorb, give into her momentarily. I doubt it will do any good - she still doesn't accept Chava doesn't love her and that he has chosen Sophia. Paco doesn't want to alienate her, so a temporary caving in is understandable to me.

Bryan, I am not sure what the document that Chava "found" said either.

I agree Jarifa in that it seemed totally unreasonable that Sophia and Dani forgive in the span of a few hours. Of course anyone in that situation would need time to comprehend, absorb, ponder...forgiveness is a process.

Diana

Great and thank you Cynderella.

"Silvana remembers good times with Patrick like her miscarriage, her marriage proposal/blackmail and begging Peralta not to kill her."
I miss her already.

Wow, Greta got off easy.

Christian should get a photo of Paco and put that on Greta's bed, that would do her in.

If Araceli gives an ultimatum she has to be ready to go through with it, she won't, and that is where I fault her. If Araceli's father has moped about for thirty years over Greta he ain't gonna back off now knowing he's got an in with her again. I bet, Paco's poor wife knew of the torch he carried (blind if she didn't) and she finally succumbed to the futility of trying to love a man who once upon a time had a tryst with the queen.

I cringe every time Irma, Armando or Chava have discussions with Nandito about the other woman. Way too much emphasis on Alexa by Chava and Armando and how important it is that Nandito like her, so not to hurt her spoiled brat feelings.

Salvador as super sleuth is just funny.

Sofia messes with my head. I like her a lot until she talks about Salvador and especially when she is with him. Then, I scratch my head.

I so want the Peralta date with Sofia to happen.

Tofie, great interpretation: "tryst with the queen".

Jarifa

tofie, still chuckling at
"Christian should get a photo of Paco and put that on Greta's bed, that would do her in".

So, would that be a bad thing? ;)

Diana

Finding Cipriano Fuentes name on the document is very important!

1. It proves that Patrick picked the name of a dead guy and allowed Sophia to suffer.

2. It shows that the president of Renzi's corporation is a dead, bum, alcoholic. This kinda sorta shows that Patrick and Renzi are really together. This is fraud. The president of a corporation has to be alive. I think it's the law in every country in the world.

3. If Cip is dead...how about the names of the other board members? Are they dead too?

4. Chava can go to the Feds with this. Chava and Armando are probably dead for what they know.

If Chava and Armando make it out of the building alive, this will probably be Renzi's last episode. Chava now has proof that Renzi's corporation is fake! This was a good episode because he has proof that Patrick and Renzi are thugs.

He has proof that they are white collar thugs. I don't think that Chava sees a link to Peralta yet.

Tofie, you had me cracking up..lol. Very well said.

One thing about coming to the party so late, I had a completely different opinion of Arecily than others. After how she handled Irma with the whole fake assault thing, she seemed like a straight shooter. Yes, Irma was her cousin but she wasn't going to support nonsense. This was my introduction to her as I have no idea how she was before all this. But as jarifa said, she seems crazy as well as Irma.

I also think that the forgiveness was very quick considering what she did, jarifa. I think that maybe the writers are setting this up for Greta to somehow once again piss her daughters off and causing them to walk away from her. Maybe.

I agree Diana, this must be earth-shattering to Arecily and from what others have posted this is the worst possible news for her.I also agree that giving her a moment won't do any good either because she won't accept it, no matter how much space he gives her. I think it would be huge mistake to allow her to dictate what he should do with Sofia, but like I said earlier this is his fault. Listening to Chava got him in this mess and he should've known better. I've only seen her criticize Sofia in one episode and I could tell she wasn't going to accept her. He had many, many episodes and he didn't know this? In fact, she was going off on Sofia the moment before he told her she was his daughter. I think he should've said first, "Sofia is your sister" not "Sofia is my daughter". The first one draws a connection, the second one doesn't. He completely butchered this whole thing.

I get that Sofia has a big heart and she seems like such a sweet, good natured person but she forgave Greta and her deception and lies waaaaaay too fast.

Based on Sofia's outfit at lunch, in the span of half a day, she found out that Paco was her Father and all the other truths/lies that were revealed in that conversation, had a brick to the face visit by Ms. Bitter Araceli who informed her that she's the devil incarnate and they will never be hermanas, cried to Chava about it all and went to his house where she said that she couldn't be near her Mother for a while...
and then made it home for lunch where Greta confessed to the other 2 what she did and it was Sofia who was actually the one defending Greta at the table to her 2 sisters when she, of the 3, is the one that got royally screwed and duped by her.
Oh.. and Sofia followed that up by having an emotional moment right after with her Mother where she basically forgave her and they cried together.
Ummm, yeah - was way way way too fast.
_______________

Araceli may have received earth shattering news but I still have zero sympathy for her because she's so impactada based off her delusional idea that Sofia has done horrible things to her and she and Chava would be living it up with love, sunshine and rainbows right now if it weren't for her. She doesn't take any responsibility for losing him in the first place when she ran off with another man or her desperate, gross behavior since he came back to town. I just can't support vengeance plans and vendettas that come from a place of delusion and lunacy..
same with Silvana.

WOW Cynderella Thanks a bazillion. I missed the Fuentes name on the paperwork Chava dug up. That changes a lot of things. CHAVA: why oh why didn't you have your phone/camera snapping away?

Cyn- Thanks for much for yet another sparkling recap.

Linda- Thank you for pointing out just how crazy fast Sofia's forgiveness of Greta was. These writers have the plot move slow as molasses, but a plot point we would surely enjoy, Sofia making Greta grovel and beg for forgiveness, is resolved in a snap. And Greta STILL has her openly ugly attitude about the "right" kind of man (i.e. rich snob) her daughters should be with. Ugh! She's learned nothing. I'm sure she'll be back to harpy mode, making demands, soon too.

I have no sympathy for Araceli. Sorry. It's already been explained how her feelings about Sofia "stealing" Chava are total bunk. But from all we heard, Paco was a good husband and father, and Araceli didn't even know about all this past drama until recently, so it must not have been such a terrible childhood or marriage her parents had. OK. So she found out her mom wasn't the love of her dad's life. Boohoo. Dani and Alexa just found out the same about their mom's feelings for their dad. You don't see them having an existential crisis about it. What Araceli's feelings boil down to is jealousy, pure and simple.

I agree Araceli is jealous and why she dislikes Sofia, I also think Araceli deserves losing whatever chance she ever had with Salvador because she left him for Monterrey, a job and another man. What I am sympathetic about is Paco's choice and how he handled the whole disclosure about Greta, his 30 year pine for her and how he handled telling his second daughter about the first.

I don't believe Alexa, Dani or Sofia for a minute think given the choice again between Paco and Octavio she would pick Paco.

If Paco given the choice between Greta and Araceli's mom now, there would be no Araceli.

Cynderella, Thanks for the terrific recap! I loved this: "Dulliver tells his dad that he's started a band. Peralta is furious to learn that it's not an evil band." I noticed that Dulliver drives a Mini-Cooper, but that doesn't make him a Mini-Me.

I agree with you Tofie, I don't think Greta ever intended to marry Paco. She has always taken the easy way. Being Paco's wife would have involved some kind of sacrifice, be it financial or social class. Greta would never do that.

I was in a rush earlier and just realized that I left out some parts of the timeline.
In the same span of half a day, in addition to what I mentioned in my 1st post, Sofia also had the huge fight with Greta at Ripoll Chocolates where was was OUTRAGED at her Mother's actions, stomped around, screamed, cried.. and didn't know when she could possibly, if ever, forgive her.

She then had that confrontation with Patricio where she found out that he gave her Mother the name of Cipriano Fuentes and that the two conspired behind her back and led her to believe that her bio Dad was a drunken bum who was dead and all the pain that would surely cause.

Phew.. that's a lot of emotions to go through in the span of half a day & I am still in disbelief that Sofia was actually hugging and defending her Mother by lunchtime. Too fast show. Too fast.

I'm waiting for Irma to burn in HELL just like Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet!

There, I said it!

OK I will go against everything sacred: Nandito...get over it. Half your classmates at school ate probably going through or already gone through the same thing. I am sick and tired of a boy your age whining and crying like a two year old. Man up for once and tell your Dad: "I wish you and Mom could work it out, but if you just can't, gotta admit your chick Alexa is pretty hot."

ate = are oops

Irma is sick. She has a mental disorder. I have sympathy for her as she has not received a proper diagnosis. She needs to be put on meds and eventually locked up.

Thanks, Cynderella. I didn't see this episode but now I feel like I did.

Maybe Sophia and Dani forgave so quickly because they're hoping that they'll get a new and improved Greta who will consider their feelings and desires and not lie to them for her own convenience? Yet, they get the same lying, selfish Greta.

I tune out when Araceli is on. Her wah wah wah! about Chava drove me away from admiring her 1950s wardrobe, so I know I can't take her wah wah wah! about Sophia being her sister. I'll take scheming Irma over her whining any day.

Thank you Cynderella---I enjoyed your recap.

I don't have much to add to the great comments today but yes, I do
agree with everyone that forgiving
Greta was way to soon but I would add that the acting was very good.

Chava looked like a clown burglar to me. I don't know how burglar is supposed to look but to me, Chava wasn't it.

Oh! And just pull out a wire, stick it in the lock. move it around for a couple of seconds and walla you're in. WHAT? Where are these locks made anyway?

Right---Where was the cell phone picture? Good point. If you are going to risk jail for a break-in
you should at least have proof of what you found.
the gringo

LOL Kirby---Alexa is hot!!!

you guys are so funny. My hubby asked me what Alexa has on her head, actually the quote was "what's that guy got on his head."

This part with Cip Fuentes, Renzi, Pato and Peralta is getting sooo complicated. Now Chava, Sofia and Armie know part of the secrets of the master plan, but no one has connected Peralta as the big boss. NOW we have Peralta courting the whole Ripoll family, with Dani dating the son and Grrrreta and Isadora (the estranged wife/Mom) old buddies from their shared art interests.

It will be fascinating to see how this tangled web is sorted out, and how and by WHO, it is accomplished. Fausto and detective/small time felon Chava already suspect Patprick but they have never looked behind the mask to wonder who is really pulling the strings.

We need Peralta to kill Patprick and get caught, but the chances are pretty slim for that. I had been counting on crazy Silvana but raging out of control estrogen sent her away. It just seems that Peralta is pretty good at covering his tracks, his only flaw being that too much of his plan depends on the spawn of the devil Patprick.

Kirby, my thoughts on last night:
1.) Marisol & Lucas are going to be together!

2.) Chava & Armando might get busted by Renzi & Co., possibly thrown off the roof.

3.) Cristian almost got busted last time. What did he sneak into that plastic bag ?

4.) Nandito: SHUT UP & GET OVER IT, YOU SPOILED, UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BRAT (from Scandal's Rowan Pope).

5.) Alexa looking like she's going to be moving on with Paolo. Armando better get off his butt.

6.) Dani taking Silvana's job is good!

7.) Patrick isn't done yet.

8.) Peralta running his organization like B613.

Re: #2: The race car boys will be a handful to throw off the roof unlike fat ass Irma. Patprick beat the fool out of Renzi and last time against Chava got beaten embarrasingly. Armie is pretty tough too and just plain B I G. I'd love to see smackdown of P&R vs A&C.

Did anyone get the snarky little comment from Marisol about Dani when the band was deciding to let her sing?

Marisol needs an anvil NOW!
