Mi corazon es tuyo #166, Thursday 03/12/15 Is this your best shot, Isabella?

Skipping the old…

Ana is in the dresser, looking at all of Fer’s costumes and screaming:
“Don Fernando!!”
When Fer arrives, she asks where she is supposed to put her things, if the place is packed with his shirts and jackets.
Then they talk about Isa coming to see the baby and threatening to take DN away for good. Fer doesn’t believe Isa would ever do that, because it would mean actually taking care of her child, which Isa is incapable of doing. Yes, but Ana is still worried, because Isa made a war declaration against them. Fer reassures her that nothing will stand in their way this time. Then he goes to feed the baby, who is in his bassinet in the room, fussing.

Magda comes to visit Angel with his favorite food and a bottle of wine. He looks happy to see her. Magda tells him about the talk she had with Ana in the morning. She was invited at the wedding and advised to tell Angel that she loves him and to kiss him. She does just that and Angel accepts willingly.

Leon takes his family (mom, Mau and Reina) outside, to show them the new car he bought. Mau reacts like every other 5 year old would – he’s happy, happy, happy and wants to take the car for a ride. Reina is impressed and mamacita is very proud of her progeny.

Dorofeo and his goons are still tailing Jenny and Johnny’s house. At one point the goons wonder why is Doro after J&J when his beef is with Ana. Between screeching and screaming, Doro says that Ana will be last, but before that, he needs to take care of the people she loves/ who helped her.
Unaware of what is going on outside their house, J&J are preparing Aura’s corner in their room, by painting a wall. Soon enough the pain ends up on their faces and their clothes, but we’re spared the rest of what is probably to come.

Isa has a new disguise, which we don’t see entirely, yet. We can only tell that she has a short, blond wig and an unrecognizable voice. Arqui is impressed.

Nicolas surprises Fernando at the office with a visit. They are both very happy with the reunion. Later at home, Fer asks his father if he talked with Diego recently, because his brother refused to come to the wedding. Nico hasn’t spoken with his younger son in a while and doesn’t understand what Diego’s problem is now. Fer wonders for a moment if this could have anything to do with Natalia, the ex-girlfriend, but then both men agree this can’t be it. Fernando is afraid this is about Ana, but he doesn’t get Diego’s attitude, because they were OK before leaving for Europe  (flash-back of their touching farewell). Nico is worried, too, but urges Fer to put aside these worries and focus on his wedding the next day. Fer happily agrees.
When Bruno shows up later and Nico asks about his lack of stutter, Bruno promises to explain everything later. (Fernando’s expression is must watch during the scene). When they are alone again, Nico asks Fer about Jenny and Johnny. Yes, they are together and Jenny will be one of the witnesses at the wedding. Nico says that he’s fine with it and is kind of looking for his son’s approval that he did the right thing by letting Jenny go.

Fanny and Ana talk about Lenin and Leon. Somehow, during her own personal drama, Ana realized that Fanny is not in love with Lenin. So she thinks that she should just cut him loose, because she’s not being fair to the poor guy. Fanny admits that she tried to fall for Lenin, she even told him that she loved him, but all this time she was only hoping to forget Leon by being with Lenin. She knows she’s not doing the right thing and agrees that she should be honest with Lenin first and solve her situation with Leon second.

Yolanda is learning how to dance from her gentlemen friends when Ana calls to invite her to the wedding the next day (talk about last minute, Ana!) Yola is happy to come and even more happy that Ana has forgiven her. Well, there is much to be said about forgiveness, and Ana is the first person to admit how important that is.

Leon is getting ready to leave his mom’s house with Mau. Mom is crying her eyes out, but Leon promises they will see each other every day.
At the new house, Leon and Mau sleep in a tent just for the night, because it’s a special evening – their first day in the new home. Mau would like for Leon to call Fanny, because Fanny makes him happy. The child is adorable, but he’s way too involved in his father’s love life. He needs to start playing a sport or something.
I’m still seriously disappointed by what Fanny’s final choice will be, so I don’t have the patience for Leon scenes today. FF

Fanny is in her bed, tossing and turning, thinking about Ana’s advice to be honest with Lenin.
Fer and Ana meet in the hallway, after everyone else is asleep. For a moment Ana forgets that they now share the same bedroom. They are both very happy and there are only 10 hours left before the wedding.

Bienvenidos a la boda de Ana y Fernando (Welcome to Ana and Fernando’s wedding)
(actual screen title)

It’s early morning and Bruno is already hard at work, organizing everything that has to do with the wedding. The food, the flowers, the chairs, the decorations – everything is ready.
And so is Isa, who is totally unrecognizable with this new disguise. I mean, seriously, is that even Mayrin Villanueva? I had to freeze screen a few times to take a better look at her. The make-up department should get an Oscar for these scenes.
She’s giddy to turn Ana’s best day into her worst nightmare. And Arqui is at her side, ready to oblige in any way that he can.

In the house, Ana is helping Luz get ready. She is nervous, but so happy. Luz thanks her for keeping the promise she once made – never to leave her. The twins arrive to let Ana know that the make-up lady has arrived (after hilariously mispronouncing the name a few times). Ana urges them to go get dressed (they’re still in their pj’s) and then she goes, too. Luz thanks her mom and God for what is about to happen.

Nico is helping Fer with his tie. He assures his son that he doesn’t have a problem with Jenny being one of the other witnesses. Fer is so happy to marry the woman of his dreams that he actually dances.

Outside, the guests start to arrive. Yola is there, too and she and Bruno decide to let bygones be bygones and be friends from now on. Isa sees her and is not too happy.

Leon sees a message that Fanny posted on a social network about today being her father’s wedding with Ana. He looks sad and very annoying.

And the wedding starts!
First to walk down the aisle are Fernando and Soledad, shortly followed by Alicia and Fanny. Then it’s Nico’s turn with Ana. The bride is wearing an all white dress, with a bit of an empire waist (is SN already showing? I don’t think so). Her hair and make-up are very simple, just like she wears them every day, which I think is appropriate, since the ceremony is taking place at noon, in the family garden. The procession is concluded by the boys.
Everybody takes their seats, Ana and Fer included and the judge calls for the witnesses to approach.
But before anything else can happen, they hear a scream:
Annnnaaaaa!”

It’s Diego, literally falling from the sky, all dressed in black and looking menacingly. He says that he can’t allow for the wedding to continue. Everyone is shocked (the only one jumping with joy is Disguise Isa) and Ana and Fer ask what is wrong with him. The judge even tries to explain that this is not a religious ceremony, so nobody asks for his opinion anyway.
Diego repeats that he won’t let them continue …without him. Enter the mariachi and only now I realize that Diego is wearing a Charo costume. He starts to sing for Ana and Fer and first it’s a slow ballad, but then he turns to a ranchera (or something similar) that gets everyone dancing and clapping their hands. The best part about the scene is Disguise Isa, because she dances all the way to the isle, trying to dance with Diego, who won’t have her (or him, because for now she’s a balding guy with a strange voice). Mayrin Villanueva must be having a blast with these scenes, her dance is hilarious.
So the surprise makes everyone happy and puts them in the party mood, which is great and all, but if I were Ana or Fer I would have knocked Diego out for thinking he can pull this kind of stunt, especially considering their history.

Moving on, they all remember that in spite of all the dancing, the actual wedding hasn’t taken place, yet. The judge calls everyone back to order and Isa makes her move. She puts a few drops of the same sleeping liquid that made her fall asleep a while back in a glass of water and gives it to the judge. He happily accepts the refreshment after all the dancing and then the ceremony continues.
Fer introduces Soledad to Diego and she thanks him for all the help he’s given them in the past (the whole reuniting with Ana story).

Next, it’s Arqui’s turn to mess with the ceremony. He’s in a van, in front of monitors, looking like he’s ready for a long FBI stake-out. He has Ana and Fer on a big screen and starts punching buttons, messing with the judges’ microphone (so he got into the van that has all the sound systems and whatnot? It’s not very clear to me if this is what he did or he came prepared with all these machineries from home). At first the microphone stops working properly, making it hard for everyone to understand what the judge is saying. Then, when he starts calling the witnesses by their names, each name is pronounced with different sound effects, which are more funny than menacing (a harsh voice, a robot, a squeaky tone). Ana and Fer ask him to lose the microphone and one by one the witnesses sign: Nicolas, Soledad, Fanny and Jennifer. Then all the phones start ringing at the same time (again, Arqui playing one of his tricks). So they all shut them down and the ceremony is about to continue yet again.
But then the judge starts to yawn and is about to fall asleep (Disguise Isa is urging him to do so from the sidelines).
Both Fer and Ana have had enough with these shenanigans. Ana has nothing if not a screechy voice, so when she screams at the judge to wake up, the poor guy jumps up and finally asks the couple to come sign the marriage license. Fer does so, with Isa on the verge of a break-down and then Ana, too. Everyone claps and cheers very Mexican style and so unlike Fernando of yesterday.
Then the judge finally (FINALLY) declares them husband and wife!

Gracias! You posted just as I logged on!

I was actually expecting something far more dastardly than a bunch of stupid sound effects, but Hissabela's failure in this just opens the door to it. Her last stand will have to be something nasty, especially with Yomama defecting to the enemy side.

More later.

When's the Gran Final for this TN ?

Two weeks from today.

Thank you, Adriana. This was a good episode and I hope you had fun recapping it! Great job.

Luz was my little star last night. She broke my heart when she thanked her mom and God for the wedding so that Ana would never leave her.

Mau is an adorable little child. I agree -- way too concerned about Leon and Fanny but cute as a button and a good little actor nonetheless.

The wedding turned out to be funny and fun. Diego was great and once again Mayrin was very good as the comic villain.

Now for some more mayhem as the happy couple is at last hitched.

Adriana, thanks. The recap was great!

Loved the whole thing from Diego's practical joke to a frustrated Isabella. The goofy comedic tone was perfect.

Jarifa

Meaning more time for Isa to wreaking havoc & chaos!

She's going down fighting!

Great recap Adriana. Greatly appreciated.

I watched purposefully last night more to see if the wedding actually happened. After watching La Sombra, I was hoping there would be some humor or Diego, and for once we got a nice balance of both.

Love the Diego song and Mar was an absolute hoot with her dancing. I agree, she must have had a blast doing those scenes.

Is it me, or has Luz grown quite a bit. Lord, last night in the bedroom scene, she looked older than the twins. Quite the little actress and a sweet ending in that scene with her thanking her mother.

I'm actually not looking forward to a Jen/Johny/Nico conversation and I certainly don't want to watch fanny breaking it off with Lenin. I'll look forward to our wonderful recappers filling me in.

Daisynjay

I agree on the comments. the sound effects were a bit much and the moment i burst out laughing was when Ana and Fernando were running out of patience and yelled at the judge 'Por Piedad!! Por Piedad!! lets get this going!'

and also when Diego finally arrived and waited a few moments after he said he protested the wedding ... 'how come you were going to begin without me?... and my gift!?'
I LOVED LOVED Jorge's facial expression changing form confusion to being miffed at Diego for what he was saying about protesting the wedding... to a 'you gotta be kidding me!!' when Diego finally said (with a huge smile on his face) 'you were going to start without me??'

also Jorge/Fernando's dancing at the end of that ranchera, which is the song of the ring tone for Ana on Diego's phone.

I believe this song came up early on when Diego proposed to Ana outside her little green house when he brought the ballet dancers.

Adriana
Thanks so much for the big detailed recap! I missed much of the episode so I appreciated it even more than usual.

Ana looked lovely, I enjoyed the scene of the outdoor wedding. Agree that Isa is losing her touch if a Mr Microphone and some sleeping powder was all she could come up with for her big revenge! Can't wait to see what's next, but hard to imagine what they are going to do with this show for two more weeks.

sorry, Diego was not yelling I protest, he was yelling 'I'm opposed!'

Adriana your recap was great! More
enjoyable than seeing it.

But I'm getting annoyed with Ana always jumping on Fernando kissing him a million times, yelling at the top of her lungs.
Annooooooyinggggg!!!

Ann-NYC

Great recap!

The dastardly plan to stop the wedding was pretty disastrous. I thought Isa had better tricks up her sleeves.

Makeup job on Isa amazing!

Loved that Diego came in and sang and all is right in the world.

I wonder if Ana's dress was very simple so that the dress at the inevitable church wedding can be over the top.

Tonight's episode should be filled with lots of drama. Looking forward to it. Though not looking forward to Lenin's heart being broken.

Remember if there is a church wedding, chances are the prep time won't be just a few days. So this is probably 'off the shelf' although i am sure Fernando could pull strings to get a whole troop working on the dress just with a flash of his wallet... LOL.

and 'off the shelf' dresses as typically not tightly snug, although with Ana's body she could probably wear ANY dress.

Yeah Ana could wear anything and look amazing. The last time I saw her in her nanny's outfit she looked wider through the middle but not pushing out really from her pregnancy.

The first song was ranchera, the second was nortena, which I wish Pablo would avoid. I not only don't like the accordion, I hate the oom-pah-pah sound that often is in that music genre.

As for what needs to happen in the next two weeks:

-- the big DNA reveal
-- Dorofeo's scheme, defeat, and Karmageddon
-- discovery that Isabruja caused Sebas' accident
-- Isabrua's last stand, defeat, and Karmageddon
-- Jenny adopting Aurora
-- Ana getting pregnant
-- the final resolution about Yomama
-- Fanny's choice

Did I forget anything?

Speculation, not spoiler: I think that Yomama will reveal the truth before Ana and Fernando find out some other way. She will convince them that she was afraid of Isabully or she would have told them sooner. Ana has already forgiven her for the impersonation so Fernando has to forgive her for this.

She will get to move into the mansion to help take care of the only grandchild she will ever have.

I would like to see Isa taken down for what she did to Sebs. Hurting a child is unforgivable! And poisoning Siete too!

I just love Jorge Salinas. He has the most expressive face that shows the exact emotions he is trying to portray. I can't think of another actor as good as him.

Thanks Adriana.

What Jorge has in spaces that i have yet to see Mauricio Islas attempt (not that he could not do it) is the comedy part/timing. and the fact that whatever he does comes through as so natural/human.

I've never seen MI do comedy either. He may not be comfortable with it.

The other advantage JS has is that he stays handsome when crying.

sorry i meant what Jorge has in spades... LOL!

UA,
The other advantage JS has is that he stays handsome when crying.

LOL!!! so true!!!!
i thought he reminded me of Jorge Enrique Abello in YSBLF (when Armando read the diary).

and now we know he can dance at least balada (rumba/slowdance, from way early on when he and Ana first kissed), salsa and nortena... lol

Oh accordions and electric home organs are absolutely the worst instruments to me. They grate on my nerves.

I did like how they brought Diego back, semi-parachute act, singing, and all. Very appropriate for the Diego character. Why didn't the makeup department do such an equally good job on Isa's "man" makeup for Chicago?

Thank you Adriana for such a funny recap which was more entertaining to me than the episode. I liked the Diego return, Isabruja's dancing up the aisle (oh what fun that was to watch), and all things Luz. The rest I could do without.

Urban:

Not quite sure how to count your vote for the 2nd reveal? From previous comments I have you down as:

* Medical emergency,
* Through eavesdropping and maybe the twins video tape it,
* IkkyLizard while fighting with Fernando,
* Yoyomama

I've definitely added JS to my list of actors I follow from TN to TN: SN, FC and Lucero.

My list is short right about now... JS, SN, MI, RN (Rafa Novoa from Colombia), Arturo Peniche, Brandon Peniche (he won me over in Refugio)
Some i would watch depending on the project:
Kate del Castillo (if she stopped doing the naco ones and came back to pure drama), Mark Tacher (depends on character. i can't stand the plot of the QTPD so can't watch that...)

I think pretty much all the kids here have HUGE potential for continuing in acting... Yeah, even Emilio Osorio (ok throw tomatoes at me, but i am talking about his acting, not his dancing)

Adriana: love your recaps. Thanks.

Marta: agree about the kids. They are all fine actors. I especially love the actor playing Mau. He's so cute and adorable and such a good little actor, he kind of freaks me out. I loved how he told Leon what to say to Fanny.

Typical Isa to mess up her stop the wedding plot. What a doofus!

Loved Ana's dress. Very Grecian lines. And it was just the kind of wedding I would expect Ana to have. Loved it, too.

Nanette

OT: UA: have you seen the ads for a new show called Olympus.? Not sure what network it's on. Looks interesting.

I have enjoyed Emilio Osorio's portrayal of Sebastian, as a kind sweet sensitive boy. I see a future in acting for him (regardless of who his parents are) and for the actress who portrays Luz.

I've enjoyed all of the children's performances.

I'd like to see the Fanny actress again, too.

Nanette,
Loved Ana's dress. Very Grecian lines.
ITA. i loved it too, very 'greek/roman goddess' style which suits her normal hairstyle.
Also appropriate for a wedding in mid-day/daytime at an intimate location like the home garden. If it were at night or at the beach i would have expected something different, or if it had been a big event.

Marta,

I've almost finished watching "La Mentira" on YouTube with Kate del Castillo; her real life father, Eric del Castillo; Guy Ecker; and the late Karla Álvarez as the antagonist.

So many of you recommended KdC that I watched LRdS and, although I hate narco-novelas, I loved her in LRdS. I'm liking her even more in LM which is turning out to be a great novela for me. And although Guy Ecker isn't on my favorite male actors' list, he is very likeable, for once in LM.

LM is a previous version of the great CME. LM is tightly written in the old novela style without a dozen parallel stories or plots happening at the same time and hasn't resorted to the typical tn clichés. I would definitely put LM up high on my favorites list.

I can't wait to watch "Romana" with the late EP and KdC.

RIP Magda Guzman... (Refugio from AB , La Poderosa from ALborada, Fidelina from La Usurpadora). great actress.

The dress must have been a shout out to UA and the Pantheon :)

I can't say too much about this episode but I did enjoy watching it.

I continue to find Isa hilarious. That dance she did in the aisle up to Diego had me rolling! What kind of dance was that..lol. I can't remember who said it yesterday but Mayrin is great at comedic villiany. Need more of her.

Bryan: except for her talking to the camera, which I personally hate, and the moments with her taunting and viciousness, I've found her a hoot to watch. I'm really enjoying her performance. I especially love it when she throws a tantrum--stamping her feet and pumping her arms.

Did anyone notice Fanny's hair at the wedding? She got the goddess treatment, too.

No, I had no idea these things were going to happen. Or that the chauffeur's name would be ZEUS. Still need to do something with that.

Gracias, Adriana, for the spot-on recap!

ITA with all of you who liked Ana's dress. She looked beautiful, although she almost ruined it by screeching.

I also TA with those of you who think Maryn is an excellent comedic villain. Well done, Isabruja! I am very curious about DN's future.

Well, Diego certainly knows how to make a grand entrance!

Marta, I noticed the facial expressions during Diego's arrival, too. I found the whole scene inappropriate, considering these three characters' history. But all is well that ends well and this way we got to see that amazing dance from Isa. She was such a hoot. The woman has always had a thing for Diego, during the wedding she said that he's a hottie. Maybe she sets her eyes on him now and Diego decides to play along to keep her close in case she plans to cause more trouble.

Urban, thank you for the music explanation. I've been watching tns for most of my life, but I still can't tell their music apart.
Great job on describing what is left to be discovered in the last two weeks. the DN reveal will be the hardest to go through, I'm so happy that Ana and Fer are happily married, this way we get to see them act as a true couple, something we so rarely see in tns.

Victoria, La Mentira is one of my favorite tns. I loved everything about it. When it first aired Guy Ecker was a favorite of mine (I still like him, but I haven't seen him in something truly good in a long time).
Televisa is planning another remake for later this year. In case I'm not mistaken the leads will be Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez.
I hope you like Ramona. I had high expectations with that one, but it ended up disappointing me.

AN

I can't wrap my head around Televisa making a remake of CME, which is a remake of LM, and other previous versions. It seems like yesterday that CME aired. And I will pass up Ana Brenda Conteras.

Is Televisa really that hard up for scripts that they are resorting to remakes of telenovelas that are only a few years old????

I hate what Urban calls "unconventional" endings--meaning knight doesn't get princess. But I'm prepared for the ending of Ramona. I was upset and sick about the ending of La Virgen Esposa and swore off bad endings, but can't resist KdC and EP.

Ramona ended the way it did because it was based on a novel that had a statement to make.

Interesting that this comes up just as I posted what I hope will be a killer weekend topic. Hope someone takes me up on the challenge!
