Mi corazon es tuyo #169, another villain bites the dust!! well, he will bite the cell bars soon... Fanny endures 1st half of a very very bad date night. And Diego pulls one of Isa's own tricks on her.

Refritos:

Fanny’s car breaks down.

Lo Nuevo:

Bruno, Jenny and Ana are outside the workshop. Jenny recognizes the car as one of Dorofeo’s. Ana tells Bruno that Jenny had said Johnny sounded nervous.

Diego is working Isa with the aid of some tequila shots. Isa asks if he is there to convince her to return the baby to Fernando. Nope. He has to confess something to her. At Isa’s Diego has been feeding Isa a lot of nonsense about being attracted to her, and since she is attracted to him she at first falls for it… she has a moment of wisdom and accuses Diego of working for Fernando, trying to get her to return the baby or at least with Fernando’s objectives in mind. He has to convince her that he is not there to take the baby. Stay tuned…

Inside poledance studio, Dorofeo has Johnny tied at the tube… opening the gas jug… playing with a metal cigarette lighter and yelling at Johnny that he betrayed him. Johnny rebutes that he and Ana didn’t even know how much they still owed Dorofeo. Dorofeo continues yelling at him while Ana, Jenny and Bruno peek through the door. Bruno volunteers to go in and then figure something out once he is there, but he won’t let the girls go in since he knows Dorofeo has something against them. Dorofeo tells Johnny he will burn down the place and can’t leave witnesses. Johnny begs. Big Mike Picadillo is also tied to another tube. The thugs start spreading the gas… Bruno comes in and starts to shout lots of nonsense. But Dorofeo recognizes him as the butler of Fernando Lascurain. Ana and Jenn are outside, Ana is calling the police.

At the house Fernando finds out from Manuela that Ana and Bruno left because Ana got a call that was a ‘bronca’ (mess) that she had to handle right away. Fernando not thrilled that Ana did not come to him but he is a bit relieved to know she is with Bruno. Alex comes over to Fernando, he has a tooth ache.

Fanny tries to call insurance to help her with her car, to no avail. The call gets cut off. She calls again and gets sent back to main menu. She calls Reina and lets her know she was heading to meet Leon but her car broke down and Leon must still be waiting for her. She sends Leon message that she loves him and to wait for her.

Soledad starts suggesting some home remedies, including saffron. Fernando and Nico are a bit doubtful so Fernando dials Ana’s cel number. He tells her Alex has a tooth ache. Ana tells him to put a parsley leaf on the tooth then drops of whiskey and a crushed aspirin. Fernando is in awe of Ana’s skill and wisdom.. (yeah yeah…) Police arrives so Ana has to hang up… Fernando heads to kitchen, leaving Nicolas wondering if parsley, whiskey and aspirin are some kind of porra (homemade concoction).

Back to poledance studio… The police finally arrive. Ana and Jennifer bring them up to speed on what is going on in the studio… they walk in right behind the police. Ana even takes the gun off the hand of one of the thugs once the cops ask them to freeze and give up. Dorofeo makes a desperate attempt to grab a gun to hurt Bruno, but is stopped by the cops. Dorofeo keeps threatening Ana that he will make her pay… she says he will pay with jail isolation time!... (Ana, if I were you I’d calm down, he won’t get life sentence for what he has done… he will come out sooner or later)

At the cosmovitral, Leon is still waiting, walks around in tears remembering his last meeting with Fanny at his house… also when he confessed to her that he was married with a kid…

Back to Isa’s… Diego keeps feeding Isa some ‘you are sooooo irresistible’, which she confirms… Isa admits some spark happened on her side too when they met…

At the kitchen, Fernando is attempting to follow Ana’s instructions. Meanwhile Manuela also has her own ‘recipe’ for the remedy with black tea… Fernando is doing his best to not run out of patience while everyone else bosses him around and poor Alex keeps yelling in pain. The moment Fernando says they should both see the dentist tomorrow, both twins ends up running back to his room. Pain is gone!

Fanny finally gets someone to come pick up her car and she calls for a taxi, which will take another 10 minutes.

At the cosmovitral Leon is done waiting, ‘its over … its over “para siempre”’. He leaves the box on the bench and walks away, remembering his best moments with Fanny: when he asked her to be his gf, when he went camping with her, when he took her on a rowboat, walking around with ice creams…

To add insult to humiliation, Fanny gets showered with water by a bypassing car while she waits for the taxi…

At Isa’s Diego keeps trying to convince her he did not come under Fernando’s agenda, has to swear he hates his brother more than ever, and gives Isa the whole story of Fernando stealing Fanny Sr and then Ana from him, even his hand scars are their fault… Diego tries to convince Isa that all he wants is to take revenge on both Fernando and Ana.

Fernando is on cell phone with Ana. She is at the police station. He gets instantly worried. Ana swears that everything is alright, Bruno is with her, and she will head home with him as soon as she finishes doing her declaration. Manuela comes in and says the lawyer is there. As he sends her to bring him in, Fernando swoons about Ana and him calling each other ‘wife/husband’.

Finally Fanny arrives at the Cosmovitral garden/fountain and only finds the hashtag rose arrangement in the box on the bench. She gets upset. She keeps calling out for ‘Leon!’… and remembers his email as she holds the box close.

At the house library Fernando is meeting with Tomas his lawyer. Tomas says Isa has the custody, Fernando insists that Isa has not cared for the baby. He, Ana and Soledad have. Tomas says that is precisely what they have to show the judge, that Isa is an unfit mother. Fernando gets a bit concerned.

Fanny calls Reina again… She did not find Leon at the cosmovitral. Reina did not get Leon to answer her calls either. Margarita gets nervous too. Mau is sleeping. They would have expected Leon to come pick up Mau to take him home. As Fanny is still with Reina on phone, the guard of the Cosmovitral comes toward her to let her know they are about to close. Fanny asks him if he saw a 25 year old young man and the guy recalls he was waiting for her until 9pm and then left crying very sad. Fanny gets even more upset. The box has ‘Fanny’ engraved at the top. She takes the box with her. Seems she is heading to Margarita’s, per her last word to Reina.

At Isa’s, Diego has a hard time getting Isa to trust him. If she wants, they don’t have to see each other again. Diego says he has known many women around the world, but no one like her. He does not get why men are not lined up at her feet. He does his best to juice the attraction he knows that she feels for him. He gives her a very slow kiss on her cheek and walks out. She is about to lose her mind… tells herself she needs an ice bath to get her excitement on check. Suddenly DN does his job of crying and Isa gets upset at having to deal with him and not letting her sleep all night.

Ana gets home and asks Fernando how it went with Isa. He admits he lost his cool. Ana replies that even the Dalai Lama would lose his cool with Isa. (Fernando can’t help but giggle a bit at that) Fernando says that is not all. Seems Diego likes Isa and stayed there flirting with her. ‘How do you like that?’ Ana is in shock to hear that.

In the kitchen, Johnny and Bruno and Jennifer bring Manuela up to speed on the adventure of the capture of Dorofeo. Jennifer wanted to talk to Manuela about Bruno. Bruno was the hero. Johnny backs her story. They say Bruno came into the workshop to save them. He was almost killed. Bruno acts all flattered and lifts his fist up in victory.

Fanny is at Margarita’s… She is really anxious. Reina and Margarita say once Leon gets home they will clear up the misunderstanding and reconcile… Fanny is not so convinced, she’s afraid Leon feels really upset right about now.

Fernando is giving Ana a passive reprimand for not having told him ahead of time about the issue they had. He says what happened was very serious, she should not risk her own life. Ana apologizes in kiddie voice. Fernando is too quick to forgive. Ana claims she and Bruno did not know Dorofeo was in there… they found out only when they came in. Ana tells him it was Bruno who put his life on the line. Fernando impactado. Ana wants to go see Alex. Fernando tells her that once he was told he had to go to the dentist, Alex’s pain went away. Meanwhile Alex is having a nightmare about a visit to the dentist from Scaryland. Alex is shouting and calling ‘Pareja’ (Guille) and Ana and swearing to the ‘dentist’ that he brushes his teeth daily. But he eats sweets. A big needle is making its way into his mouth just as Ana is waking him up from his nightmare. Ana has to turn on the light, which wakes up the rest of the boys. Alex is nervous, telling them the story of the Dentist with the giant needle. Sebas wants to go to sleep and not hear another nightmare of the clones. Ana starts sweet talking them about going to the dentist tomorrow for check-ups. Only will look them up. Fernando walks in and smiles as she continues sweet-talking and convincing them. She bribes them that if the ‘Commander in chief’ sees that they behave, he might even buy them some ‘gifts’. Ana heads down to kitchen, kisses Fernando briefly and the clones put a face of ‘fuchi’ about the kissy kissy daddy they have now.

Fanny is upset, now knocking at Leon’s new house door… she keeps yelling for him to forgive her, that she loves him. She gets a cell phone call. It is Ana… Fanny is crying. She tells Ana how bad it all has gone in her very bad date night.

Bruno and Manuela are getting a bit lovey dovey in the kitchen. You really luv me? You were not mad at me? ‘it was not anger, it was dissapointment’. Bruno claims about Zeus. Manuela says all she wanted was to get Bruno jealous… And he finally reacted. Bruno gets some dance steps leading right to him saying ‘mi Corazon es tuyo’ and into a kiss…

Master suite, bedtime… they have Luz sleeping between them. Ana is bringing Fernando up to speed on Fanny’s night… He gets worried as well. Leon is still MIA… Fernando adds ‘So is Diego’. They worry that Diego is still with Isa.

Fanny is at Margarita’s, on cell phone again. She is on phone with some woman that is giving her bad news about a young man who had a fatal accident. She is crying, and gets Reina crying too… Margarita is in shock. Fanny is so upset she can’t even speak, finally tells Margarita and Reina that the guy they are telling her about is dead. Tears and desperation all around. (Margarita’s face is priceless. Bravo for the actress. Ok, back from comm.) Fanny is still on phone with lady… they have no name, haven’t been able to identify him. Fanny says maybe it’s not Leon.

Back to master suite, Ana is pacing around the bedroom. Ana is worried about DN still with Isa, ‘she doesn’t love him!’. Fernando gets up and comes to her. Fernando is still trying to be compassionate toward Isa. After all, she is DN’s mom. Ana mentions that Isa has her ‘stipend’ guaranteed holding on to DN. Ana tells Fernando, who caresses her and tries to comfort her, that for Isa the baby is nothing but a transaction and a tool to hurt Ana. Fernando tells her he fired Isa and initiated the law suit with Tomas to try to get custody of DN. Ana thanks him with kisses.

At Isa’s, the baby is crying constantly (hmmm… Isa, you just don’t have the touch… or you are totally oblivious to your own son). She remembers Diego telling her she has always attracted him, since before she married his brother. Isa tells DN that she is VERY attracted to Diego. ‘that is why we named you Diego!’ (eh hem, didn’t Fernando name him?!)

At the mansion, Diego has arrived and is walking to kitchen, walks right in right in the middle of Bruno/Manuela’s ‘love dance’ as Bruno calls it. Bruno starts apologizing for ‘what he is not seeing’ (LOL!) Diego did not mean to interrupt whatever they have going on there… Bruno keeps denying ‘its not what it seems’. Manuela asks ‘ah no?? of course it is!!’ Manuela gets to her duty, offers Diego food… Diego notes to Bruno that he has her lipstick all over his face and clothes. Bruno walks away. Manuela serves Diego some GIANT meatballs and tells Diego ‘I finally got what I wanted!!, he finally gave his arm to twist!!’ (hasta que se me hizo!!al fin dio su brazo a torcer!!)

Johnny and Jenny are talking while he builds the baby’s crib… She asks him how long jail term Dorofeo will get. Johnny asks her why she knew something was going on at the workshop, she claims he is a bad liar. They get lovey dovey too.

Fanny is calling Ana, is still very upset, and tells her about the car that crashed. Ana suggests Fernando contact someone who can find out more details(he gets right to it) about the car that had the accident. Fernando calls for some ‘Lic Paymen’ (I wonder what time it is, might not be later than midnite… seems Fernando has someone on duty 24/7 to do this kind of errand).Fanny is really upset, afraid Leon is dead. Ana ‘cancels’ ‘don’t say that’.

Previews: Diego keeps working on Isa’s trust. Diego continues his conquest plan, brings groceries to cook dinner for Isa… Fernando confronts him at the house and asks him ‘don’t tell me you got something going with Isa’.

Marta, I'm going to miss all your recaps once this is over. I get such a treat out of your side comments.

So another episode with a bumbling Johnny. Guess he will be with us until the end. That is one reason I'll be glad to see the end of this novela.

I really liked Diego putting the moves on Isabruja. And now it seems as if he is going to prepare one of his famous Oriental dinners for her. You got to love it. Leave it to sleuth Diego to try to get to the truth! !

MarthaIvett: thanks! I second Victoria's opinion--your detailed recaps are a joy to read.

Don't have time to leave a long comment now, but let me just say I'm going to have nightmares about that scene with the dentist and the needle...

Another great recap! Thanks, Marta.

So, it was Bruno who got to be the hero. Loved him and Manuela dancing and kissing with Manuela's lipstick all over his face.

The dentist nightmare was the funniest scene though.

No doubts how Fanny feels about León.

Good and enjoyable episode.

Great work, Marta.

Poor little Alex; he and his "pareja" are always having nightmares. I guess the dentist in the nightmare was already the family dentist because of casting expenses because it would have been so much better if the dentist were someone more parental, like Angel. Or a woman a little older than Ana.

Dorofeo will get his just desserts when he ends up in the slammer.

Now that Bruno and Manuela will be a couple, who wants to bet that she will be pregnant in the finale?

More later.

So great Marta! You always come through with a fab recap.

I didn't think anything would happen to Johny since he's considered one of the primary stars. It's a comedy, so they wouldn't go there. As much as I don't like him, I would hate it anyway because poor of poor Jen. She's happy in a TN way. let her be.

Speaking of this being a comedy, don't believe for a second Leon is a goner. But all this will have he and Fanny declaring their undying....well, you know. Just so there's no instant marriage & family out of this. But we'll see. Nothing surprises me where Osorio is concerned.

Ok, so we're down to our last "villian". SmoothMoves Diego is a delight to watch with Isa. Would the writers really go there with those two? She would turn the corner and Diego actually fall for her? She's done some really nasty things, including attempted murder, so that would be a strange redemption arc. I"m am hoping he is playing her big time and will be the one to learn the truth about the little guy. By now, Yomama had her chance to spill.

The young kids were cute last night and liked seeing Bruno the hero. The kitchen kiss fest was a bit over the top but LOVED Diego's reaction with them. Can you tell I've missed this man and how he interacts with the family??

And sorry, Ana had no business going in after the police. She's a wife and mother now. She should have at least told Fer where she was. Head scratched that whole scenario.

Fernando & Isa: this won't end well!

Isabruja will probably not end up dead at the end of this although she deserves a truly intense Karmageddon. I have no doubt that she will make a major last stand with the other adult villains out of the way.

Isa has spent most of the novela humilliating Ana and many others... so a quick Karmageddon would be way too easy. has to be something that will make her suffer for a long term... as humilliating as possible.

Agreed.

There is still adequate time for her to do something that will land her in jail. She deserves to learn that orange is not the new black and end up cleaning toilets, like Veronica in PEAM. Complete with the swirly.

Great recap!

I too didn't believe for a second that Leon was dead. They wouldn't let Mau lose both his parents to car accidents.

Agree that we were sorely missing Diego and all he brings. Though I'm surprised he's trying to get the truth from Isa when Yomama seems easier to break down. Just give her a few margaritas and flirt a little!

The dentist nightmare was great and I always enjoy the twins.

Jonny has turned into a real stand-up guy. He doesn't bother me at all anymore.

It was painful to watch Fannie. And Leon's "she gives a rat's uh... tail about me because she did nto show up" Come on! Why have the writers turned Leon into such a wuss? Oh, pardon, forgot the adjective "stupid". If he lost his cell and Fannie is not showing up, could there be a chance that she might have tried to call him? Doesn't that idea cross his mind?

Please, let's just move on. And now Leon is dead? If any resident of Viewerville believes that I have a bridge I would like to sell him or her.

I am feeling emotionally manipulated by the Leon/Fannie debacle.

Dang, I wanted to see Mike turn someone into picadillo. Instead the poor guy gets benched by the bad guys (not sure if I am referring to Doroteo or the writers).

I can't handle the Carmen Salinas brand. I liked Yomama as being evil, but now her fire got extinguished and she just seems to be trickling along. I so wanted Evil Liz to have spilled the beans about the baby.

Now it looks like Yomama is up, unless Isa gets tricked by either Diego or her own hormones and ends up spilling he beans. That would be better. I want Yomama to redeem herself, but this is just too much cheese. :-)

ITA about Yoyomana and don't like the fact that we are being inundated with folks from the retirement center. I guess I'm close to living in one myself !!
Another great PSA from our favorite producer Osorio.

Victoria, I noticed your last post from yesterday. LVDA isn't conventional because it has a lot of characters who are not related to each other and its minor subplots deal with some contemporary issues including police corruption and prostitution.

Enrique Rocha is particularly good in a role that is a departure from his usual controlling father stereotype. He's a mobster who is very well-read and an opera fan.

awesome as advertised Marta and a big thanks

Why are they talking to Fanny and not Leon's mom about the accident? Don't think he's dead though.

That Diego is cool under fire.

Ana didn't learn a thing, the least she could have done is tell Fernando what she was gonna do, she knew something up and why she took Bruno. Oh well, Fernando is the one that has to live with it.

Little let down again with Doroteo's take down. I expected more, especially Ricky's and hope Isabela's is a bit more dramatic.

Since Reeky and Doro have both been taken down in the studio, should we expect Isa to be taken down there too? LOL

Agree Tofie that the anvils for Reeky and Doro leave a bit to be desired. Everything Isa has done so far has been pretty dramatic so I have high hopes.

Thanks Urban

for the info on LVDA.
I noticed it is very long (which I hate) so I didn't want to get started watching it unless I was sure.

Thanks Marta for the great recap.

I'm really enjoying Diego scamming Isa.

I give Ana a pass. She's impulsive--always will be--and she's newly married. She's been independent and on her own, for all intents and purposes, for most of her life. Fer just needs to keep giving her those gentle reminders and she'll start realizing she has to consider him and the children in her decisions.

Thanks again for all the JS recommendations. FELS had the most mentions, followed by QBA and LQNPA (tied). So I'll try and find which one of those is available intact and for free. I'm assuming I can access old recaps for those? Have to look into that. That will be a factor since my Spanish is not up to watching without help.

Nanette

Nanette, let me know if you are able to access old recaps. I have tried for other shows and it doesn't seem to work for me. It comes out like a hyper-text.

OT. Carvivilie

You are right about the old recaps coming out in "foreign" code. I've tried using Firefox, Chrome, IE, and several other search engines. The only recap I could access was "Alborada".
I emailed BlogMom abd asked what's up, but haven't heard back.

Thanks Victoria!

I just tried to access FELS recaps and I'm being asked to sign up with Delicious. Did that happen to anyone else?

Nanette: No I haven't had that happen.

Nanette, I signed up for Delicious when I was watching Zorro. To the best of my knowledge, Delicious will only work on some of the previous recaps, but not all, e.g. FELS.
Also sometimes it says "the webpage you are trying to view has been moved to Squiddo" and I had no luck there.

Victoria: I noticed I can get in the backdoor with some of the recaps by doing a net search for "Caray Caray FELS or Fuega en la Sangre and then various versions of the ep numbers (#1 or cap 1, for example) and dates (April 28, 2008, 04/28/08, for example). Haven't found a way into Cap 1, yet.

Took your advice and watched a few minutes on You Tube of Cap 1 on Ashley's site. Even the first couple of minutes looks very interesing.

Is it really 200+ eps?!

Feel bad co-opting the board for non MCET reasons. Therefore, I shall make a comment about the TN.

I didn't really care that much for Diego before, but I have to admit he's bringing in a breath of fresh air for the conclusion of this TN.

Nanette , thanks for providing the backdoor hint. And yes FELS is 200 episodes long. However, for me it went really fast, and that's taking into consideration the fact I don't usually watch anything over 150 episodes. But I like EY, PM, JS, and Adele Noriega. The 3 brothers sing a great song together and EY doesn't even have a great voice; but PM and JS are singers.

Victoria: good to know. I'm going to start watching it after MCET ends next week.

I think Ana will always not tell Fernando things if she thinks he will say no and just do it and ask for forgiveness later. I agree that it's just the way she is but she's had a year with the children, so at least they crossed her mind, she had Soledad watch the kids as she ran off. Ana took Bruno along to drive and for cover with Fernando but she could have easily told him. Fernando is in for a tough go unless Ana understands there is no me in we.

Ana needs to learn how to drive. Mexico City is huge and the chauffeur is needed to drive the kids to and from school.

Tofie, Ana is very different from Estefania in this way. She was independent for much more time before marrying him. He needs to make some concessions for that, too.

I love that we get to see Fer and Ana interact as a married couple and as parents together for quite a few eps before the end.

If I may, I am a very successful and wealthy woman that has never driven. I live in New York and it simply is not and never has been an issue. There are many famous people that do not drive as well. I do not consider myself any less of an independent woman. I am actually proud to say I have a spotless record. Driving infractions have caused a lot of issues with the rest of my fabulous family members that do drive. You could be a perfectly law-abiding citizen and still end up incarcerated for vehicular homicide or something of the sort. Unpaid parking tickets could cause a warrant for your arrest to be issued. I prefer to not worry about accidentally killing someone with a vehicle. That is my choice as an educated and informed person.

Take one for the team Diego.

Nanette & others - I have always been able to access the index pages for old recap collections using Internet Explorer, though I haven't looked specifically for FELS. After I find the index, then I can cut and paste the address for whatever episode I'm watching into google chrome and work from there (since that is what I use to watch the epis). Usually I don't have to do that, though, because I can find them by googling. If for some reason that doesn't work, that's when I have to flip over to IE and use the index. Every so often an episode isn't titled, dated, or tagged correctly or is out of sequence or something. I've watched a number of oldies that way, and read and enjoyed all the wonderful recaps and comments. Nanette - I used to really need the recaps, too, but now not so much. My Spanish has improved so much, and mostly just from a couple of years of regular TN watching. Now if I could only break my subtitle addiction ... my listening still isn't so hot, but I can read really super fast!

I can also get to the indexes on my kindle with whatever that is preloaded with. Sorry, can't think of it right now.

Carolina

I might be a little slow, but would you explain what the "index" is please. Are you referring to the URL address?

Sorry. I meant the recap feed. It's a list of all the recaps in reverse chronological order. Find the TN you want to read old recaps from on the sidebar. Click and you get there. :)

"RECAP FEEDS DO NOT WORK IN THE CHROME BROWSER. USE FIREFOX OR INTERNET EXPLORER. SORRY ABOUT THAT. IT'S CHROME'S FAULT, NOT OURS." ~ the immortal words of our blogmom.

ps. Now that I think about it, I do remember some sort of snag when I tried to access FELS recaps. So I decided to watch a different one.

I found a work around to read the recaps and comments for FELS and other older novelas. I'll post it in a minute.
