Quiero Amarte (Week 24-Mar 2) Highlights & Discussion

Let's Review--Where are WE?
We've been shuttling back and forth between the fincas in Chiapas, the City of Mexico and the WUN finca, La Tormenta.

We've watched a terrified Lucrecia imagining her worst enemy is stalking her. She wants round-the-clock bodyguards, and for her investigator to vite vite find that damned woman. Too bad it's all an illusion. Florencia is nothing but ashes.

We've watched Cesar in a snit because he's imagining the worst of Max and Amaya together. He's heading for the ranch. He doesn't know it but what he is imagining is true. What will he do with the red teddy he saved for her?

We've observed Juliana and Jorge delight in new found love with each other, kissing passionately and sharing a huge chicharron a la Lady-and-the-Tramp. Carolina realizes all is lost when she sees them munching away.

We've been witness to a terrible road accident suffered by Max and Amaya, somewhere on the road to Mariana and Ivan's wedding. All is lost--not even a cell phone. That's ok, we've enjoyed a shirtless Max and have listened to a When-Harry-Met-Sally moaning Amaya.

We're just now seeing, with great trepidation, the arrival of some SUVs full of pandilleros at the town square of the WUN town. Ulises can be seen looking out the back window. The whole wedding party (minus one jealous Cecy) are happy in their innocence. All will probably be lost, but primarily Mariana, unless a miracle saves her.

Thank you, Anita!

An exciting week ahead for sure! My primary hope is that something happens to foil Uli's plan. I would be so happy if he's the Wile E. Coyote to Ivan and Mariana's Road Runner in this thing! A sexual assault of either Mariana or Amaya would be extremely hard to take!

Gonna be watching with my fingers crossed!

Thanks, Anita!

I'm looking forward to getting home and watching what happens at the Mariana/Ivan nuptials!

Here we go again!

Recapping schedule. If there are changes to be made, let me know early on.

WARNING- it's a very intense episode today.

Ok guys dont throw stuff but I'm starting to like Const.
I mean I'm still on team Amaya (Justicia YA!) but Const is growing on me. She hasn't done anything crazy lately and her point of view makes sense. Max used to love her and with a baby and enough time why not again - she doesn't know Max and Amaya have a Cosmic Love.
but
The scenes Thurs & Fri with Max and Amaya were so sweet and charming. They were hobbling along together, holding each other up, caring for each other, and that more than all the longing looks or almost kisses makes me believe these two belong together.
so
But I still want Const not to get hurt, although that's probably impossible, she's behaving so well, she deserves a happy ending.
sigh

Sneaky! We don't throw stuff! Anyway, I just say ditto to your comment. I won't say much more til Anita gets her recap up. But totally understand about Connie and there are enough people to hate on QA without hating her just because she has been flaky. I don't want her to be hurt, either.

I think that speaks to the good writing on this. We have a lot of character growth in some characters. (I'm thinking of Flavia, too.)

Connie is really changing for the better.

I was really proud of how Connie handled herself while Cesar had his freakout about Amaya and Max. But I think what Connie needs to complete her growth is to learn how to stand on her own two feet. So I say a "happy ending" for Connie is to learn that she is strong enough to be alone.

Recap for Mon Mar 2 (Capitulo 113) – Pt 1

Abandoned building - (It could be a house-bodega-stable, you decide. There is a fireplace, bags of something and bales of straw.) Max is going to seek help. Amaya will go with him. He pulls her up and she sort of half falls into his arms. They stand there. He wants to kiss her; she wants him to kiss her. They both know it, too. But Max still has too much resentment to follow through and Amaya senses it. She separates herself from him. Just then a storm passes over and they realize they’ll have to wait it out. Max builds a fire and lights it with some matches that have miraculously appeared. (He should thank the Virgencita because neither he nor Amaya smoke.)

While Max and Amaya wait for the rain to abate, they talk. Max is happy about the baby. If it weren’t for the baby, he doesn’t know what he’d do. There are days he feels dead inside. Amaya says not to say that. He answers that she left him like that. He gave her the best of him and she betrayed him. Amaya at first seems as though she is going to tell all, she knows how much she has hurt him. She asks Max that if he knew she had been obligated to do what she did, would he forgive her? Of course she won’t tell him when he asks, and asks again. She claims it was a powerful motivator, but she still won’t tell. Max has slid down prone on the straw and Amaya is lying beside him, but with her head by his legs and her feet near his head. She tells him she will, but not then. Max wants her to tell him now. He’s had the sense for some time that she’s been hiding something—avoiding him, not looking him in the eye. He used to be able to tell what was on her mind, just by looking into her eyes. He can’t do that anymore.

Amaya worries that Mari will think it strange they didn’t make it or contact them. It reminded her of another time when she didn’t make it or contact Mari because she fell in the river. Max says how could he ever forget that. Max and Amaya talk about being with the person they love – and Max makes a dig, like the way Amaya was in Las Vegas, with the person she loves. Amaya asks Max if he’s thinking about marrying Consta after all she did to him. Max says Consta is truly sorry and accepts the fact she was influenced incorrectly. The silence between them is deafening.

Airport waiting room - There is bad weather in Chiapas. The pilot can’t land; it’s a safety issue. Cesar doesn’t care. He orders the pilot to take off. (I kinda wished he had. They crash land, Cesar breaks both his legs and the pilot walks away to seek help—and I mean walks way away; then he runs into Max and Amaya and, and, no, better leave it in the hands of the rewriters of Jaime Garcia Estrada and Orlando Merino’s 1994 work, Imperio de Cristal). The pilot says without clearance he’s not going to take off. He’s not going to risk himself, nor his passenger. Cesar says he’ll fire him if he doesn’t. Pilot says sorry and walks away (and I mean way away). Cesar calls him an imbécil and is going to runtelldat (RIP Madelaine) to his daddy to fire him.

Mon Mar 2 - Pt 2

Church in WUN town - Mariana and Iván have made it to the church on time and safely. They are exchanging vows. Uli must have decided the town square was not the best place to stage an assault and kidnapping. (We are worried anyway, he’s not going to go away just because they got married in a church—he has no scruples.) It’s a lovely ceremony and the couple are beautiful to look at. There are a few congregants lucky enough to be present. Cecy hates it and it shows on her face, but she follows through as Mari’s attendant, along with Tadeo, while he sneaks looks at Cecy. The priest declares them marido y mujer and Iván can kiss his bride. Tadeo takes this opportunity to let Cecy know he cares about her and to give him a chance. She shoots him down by reminding him he’s merely one of her workers. When they all reach the doorway of the church, it’s raining cats and dogs (un chaparrón—not to be confused with chicharrón). The newlyweds don’t care and run right out into the rain and embrace and kiss for good luck and off they go (Uli is nowhere in sight.)

El Paraiso - Hector and Chelo are in the kitchen wondering about the wedding. Apparently Chelo has raised some feelings of passion long buried in Hector. He begins by realizing that Chelo has been a stand-in mother to Iván all these years. That must be why Iván never missed his mother so much. He’s upset he never was aware of that until now. He’d been so bitter about Rebecca leaving them and soured on women he hadn’t realized what a good person she was. Rather too quickly he makes a move into Chelo’s personal space and she’s a bit uncomfortable when he reaches for her shoulder. He wonders out loud to her what his life would have been like if he had been with someone like Chelo instead of Rebecca.

El Deseo - Efraín is carrying out his patron’s order to get rid of everyone on the staff because the someone who helped Mariana escape has not come forward. They will all get their bi-weekly pay if they sign a letter of voluntary separation. When one of the staff objects, he tells her if he has to fire them, they will get nothing and they will also be accused of theft. Sonia is feeling both guilty and terrified at the same time. She stays quiet. (I think Uli wanted them all fired anyway so the new staff won’t know anything about Mariana, if he manages to re-kidnap and sequester her, as he’s planned. I wonder if Uli has thought about all the people who will have a grudge against him. The numbers are growing.)

Mon Mar 2 - Pt 3

On the Road to Nowhere - Mariana and Iván have dried off and are driving along in their wedding clothes on a dusty, rutted track, hardly a road. He’s going to take her all over Chiapas for their honeymoon. They are happy, in love and clueless UNTIL two big black SUVs pull up in a cloud of dust and block their way. (This scene was painful to watch, both for Mariana and for us.) Pandilleros approach with guns drawn. Two of the thugs pull Iván out of his side, while two others pull Mariana out. Uli steps out and smiles with satisfaction as Mari begs him to leave them alone. Uli walks up to Iván and says to him he’s going to pay for entering his finca and carrying off Mari. He says to them that nobody makes a fool out of him. Mariana pleads that they are already married. He tells her it doesn’t take long to go from being single, to being married, to being widowed. He tells Mariana to have one last look at Iván because it’s the last time she’ll see him alive. Uli punches Iván in the stomach, signals the thugs and watches smugly while they beat the tar out of Iván and leave him bleeding on the ground. Uli gives Iván one last kick while he’s down.

Mari’s screams have no effect on the thugs holding her or on Uli. He’s enjoying himself immensely. Mari finally faints. They load her into one SUV. He orders the thugs to dispose of Iván, alive, by throwing him over a ravine or precipice (barranca or barranco, n.). They do and he hits his head on a rock at the bottom. (TN Cliché – When a head meets a rock that hard, it will certainly indicate amnesia.)

Finca La Tormenta - Becca is feeling that something has happened to Iván. Cecy is now pacing, wondering why Iván hasn’t called her for help. Becca wonders why Iván would need her help. Cecy blows her off. Becca warns her that nothing had better happen to Iván. She cooperated with Cecy’s plans in order to recover her relationship with he son. Becca urges Cecy to call Iván. Cecy calls Uli instead. He’s in the SUV holding chloroform under Mari’s nose to keep her passed out and docile. He very calmly tells Cecy that Iván is probably dying after being thrown over a precipice. He’d gotten a little testy and had to be shut up. Cecy is incredulous. That’s not what they had agreed upon. Uli has no idea where they disposed of him. He ends the call telling Cecy, “It was a pleasure doing business with you. Beso,” then hangs up on her. Becca is never going to forgive her.

Mon Mar 2 - Pt 4

El Paraiso - Jorge and Juliana are trying to talk about their new relationship above the clatter the young folks are making, playing in the background. Juli is worried that Alan is already calling Jorge his papa Mexicano. Juli wants to know how Jorge can be sure of his feelings for her. He’s sure, since the first day he met her. He loves her. Flavia and the children intrude as she calls for a toast. The adults get champagne. Chelo brings in juice for the under 21 crowd. Eloisa and Hortie join them. Alan proposes a toast to Jorge and Juliana, while Flavia proposes one for Mariana and Iván, who surely should be married by now. Jorge proposes a toast to love.

Later on, Flavia, Heriberto and Chelo are in the kitchen. They are both being complimentary to Flavia on her change in attitude. Heri is super animated and doesn’t take his eyes off of her as he talks. Forgetting Sonia temporarily, there’s a bit of eye flirting. Chelo thinks sparks are gonna fly.

Jorge wants a little alone time with Juliana and asks her to go dancing with him to celebrate becoming novios.

The young folks are having a wienie-marshmallow roast. Vale reflects that Cesar seemed nice to her, but her mother turned nasty after she married him. Lucio is convinced Amaya is good and so is Max, but not Cesar. Cesar is the one sending Vale to the States. Alan says Max would never have done that. Vale is convinced her mother is bad and doesn’t love her any more. Lucio tells Vale her mother does love her because she told him so. In the background the adults watch and talk.

Back in the kitchen, Hector worries he hasn’t heard from Iván. Chelo teases him about Iván thinking about his honeymoon and not about calling his dad. They are just congratulating themselves that Uli wasn’t able to interfere with the wedding when Sonia shows up with her sad tale. Hector and the others think it very strange the whole El Deseo staff should have been dismissed. At least Sonia is safe. Hector will talk to Max and see what they can do for the others.

Later, Flavia is in the living room studying when she starts thinking about Ulises. Elo comes in to talk. She wants to know how Flavia’s heart is. Flavia says she’s still confused. She’s not in love with Uli but still connected to him. He hit her where it hurt. Eloisa tells her she has her family around her that loves her and will help her through this. Especially Eloisa who is so proud of the young woman Flavia has become.

Abandoned building - It’s a little later in the evening. Amaya is getting chilled and Max has her come sit next to him. He puts his arm around her and she snuggles into his shoulder. He tries to look away but ends up resting his cheek on her forehead. They slide down so they are prone. Now he looks at her, she looks at him, then he turns his head away. Amaya has her arm across his waist and his is on her arm. Max and Amaya try, but can’t sleep. Their memories of happier times, embracing, kissing, making love are getting mixed up together. She looks up at him. Max looks down at her. Amaya gives him a little half smile and he turns away.

Amaya watches Max sleeping. She would like this moment to last forever. She reaches up to touch his face and he stirs. She quickly withdraws her hand. They decide to leave and look for help. He helps her stand and there is one more moment as their faces are close enough for a kiss. Amaya is looking up at him, half expectantly. No kiss. They head out of their nidito de desamor.

Mon Mar 2 - Pt 5

Montesinos Mansion - Mauro, Consta and Luce are the only ones left in the house and are dining together. Cesar bursts in still steamed that his plans to get to El Paraiso got quashed by the weather. He thinks Mau should fire the pilot. Even Luce is surprised by his posturing. Mauro says no. If the weather is good, they’ll go tomorrow. (I guess Mau is going.) In another creepy move, Cesar is standing behind Consta’s chair, agitated, then strokes her hair with one hand. Consta shakes him off and turns to look up at him with a QQWhat look on her face. Mauro calls the police WUN to see if there is a report of any accidents.

The next morning Cesar comes bouncing down the stairs. He’s ready to go. So is Mauro. Consta comes down and asks for them to wait for her. She wants to go look for Max, too. Nobody will allow her to go. Doctor’s orders. Off they go. Consta doesn’t look too happy to be left alone with Lucrazy.

WUN Police station - The chief of police asks his patrolman if there’s anything new on the car that burned up after that accident. No, they had to suspend investigations because of the rain, but will go back again tomorrow. They do wonder what happened to the occupants. Another patrolman tells the chief that someone from the City called asking about a car and passengers that never arrived at a WUN destination. They surmise it could be the same car. The passengers may be on the road, hurt, but advises against telling the caller anything yet. Patrolman is to get descriptions of the occupants and they’ll get back to him with any news.

El Deseo - Uli brings in a passed out Mari and puts her on the bed in the same room he’d had her imprisoned in before. He tells Efraín that NO ONE is to know Mariana is there with him and no one is to enter. Only Effer can come in to clean, and only when Uli tells him to. (Efraín, if he goes along with this, has earned himself a medium-sized anvil, delivered by me personally.) Effer leaves. Uli speaks to an unhearing Mari that he personally will keep watch on her and now that she’s free for him, he’s going to treat her like a queen and she won’t be able to resist him. He leans over and kisses her lips.

On the Road to Nowhere - Cecy has gathered up her employees and they are going to start searching for Iván everywhere. Tadeo wonders about Mariana. She tells him to shut up and get them going. They search all night, through the woods, commercials, streams, and into daylight. They guys are tired. Tadeo wants her to stop, but she pushes them to continue. Finally, a body dressed in white is seen down in a ravine. Cecy runs down. She shouts, it is he, it is he (or him, but I just can’t write it’s him). Freeze frame on Iván’s bloody, death-like look

Question--Did any one else see the label "Teresa" with a rose in the lower left hand corner just before commercials? Did someone make a booboo? Usually it has the name of the novela that is being shown. I'm worried that they may just shut this down and start Teresa without warning.

The reason I'm worried is that something fishy is going on at the midnight (LQNPA) and 1 am (Un Refugio) broadcasts. The last two Refugios turned out to be LQNPA. I hope they are just trying to finish with Rogelio and Ana Paula and will bring back Luciana, Rodrigo and Pato.

Anita- Excellent, excellent recap! We had Mari and Ivan's highest moment, and their lowest moment. Their joy during and after their wedding was so beautiful, it made the brutal beating and kidnapping that much harder to take. Please let everyone get suspicious about Uli hiring ALL new staff, and Mari and Ivan being out of touch, and SOON!

OK. Max is a smart man. He should have definitely picked up from that conversation with Amaya that she was somehow obligated to marry Cesar. He had no problem believing Cesar blackmailed Manuel to sell his shares when Manuel admitted it. That's where my mind would have gone first, if I were him-- that Cesar is blackmailing Amaya with something. I am actually disappointed that his mind didn't go there. But I'm glad the two of them had this opportunity to bond.

Nice moment between Heri and Flavia. Heri has never said that Sonia is his girlfriend, just a friend, so I don't think there is a rival for his heart. But Flavia still needs to heal from her past disappointments in love, and continue to grow and become a stronger person. She has come such a long way. She should be proud.

Yes. I noticed the Teresa label. Someone screwed up. Isn't Teresa on earlier in the day? In any case, I hope it was just a mistake and not an indication of upcoming changes in the schedule.

Well maybe NOW someone at El P will call the cops when they find out. I hope they don't try to take on Uli's place on their own. Uli has gone crazy. A normal person couldn't possibly think that holding someone hostage forever is going to work. I'm a little surprised that he didn't arrange for a super-secret other finca to hide Mariana.

Anita - Uni doubled La Que No Podia Amar on Thurs/Friday since it was the end of the TN and rather than have the finale randomly on a Tuesday, they showed 2 episodes back to back those 2 days to have the Fin on Friday instead so Refugio should be back on Monday. I was excited to see what new TN (well, rebroadcast) would be starting in the 12am est slot with LQNPA over but it looks like some sports show according to Uni's schedule which is really disappointing.

Thank you Anita! I loved Ceci and crew searching through commercials. Hee Hee.

Between this episode and last night's episode of La Sombra del Pasado, I was emotionally drained yesterday.

I'm going to assume the Teresa business was a boo boo. I don't think Uni would let a show go this far and then drop it. They haven't even edited this one, have they?

What does bother me is that it seems to indicate that Uni tampers with bumpers, too. I want to see the TNs as they were aired in Mexico. Well, at least as much as possible. It explains some of the odd timing of commercial cuts lately. Sometimes practically in mid sentence!

Thank you, Anita. My finger crossing didn't work. I cannot react much. I'm afraid I am maybe abnormally sensitive to such realistic portrayals of violence especially after having emotionally invested in the characters. I am also watching La Sombra and I am just sick.

Thank you again, Anita.

Yeah, last night was rough watching my two favorite tns back to back and seeing these horrible things happen to characters I like. For once I was glad for the persistence of a crazy stalker, because Ivan would have surely died had Ceci not made her men search throughout the commercial break. :)

Vivi, I don't know. I am not an emotional person but I just watched last night's episode of Sombra and I had to stop after you know what -- and I'm crying!! I am NOT a cryer! I feel so bad. What are they doing to these shows!

:(

Lila- That incident is actually a key part of the plot moving forward in Sombra, and is part of the originally written story. There was no way we were escaping that one, sorry to say.

I didn't know. I guess I'm a wimp or something. It's hard to feel a warm glow for the lovers with that having happened.

Ok, this is not the Sombra board. Thanks for listening. I still feel really bad. I got to do some thinking.

Thanks for listening, Vivi.

Isn't Florencia buried in a cemetery somewhere?

Steve- Amaya had Florencia's remains cremated and put into a niche in Mexico City secretly. There is an empty grave in Chiapas, next to her husband, with her name on it.

Lila- No worries. I hear Kat is cooking up last night's recap of Sombra for us, so there will be many sympathetic ears once we can all comment.

Anon--Thanks for clearing up the LaQue double. I'm still a little behind on it, but was doing a marathon catch up of Refugio, so I was surprised.

I'm glad the Teresa thing was just a booboo.

UNI--Don't Mess With QA!

Vivi--You may be right about Heri and Sonia. I may have just been imagining his calling her something other than amiga. To me they seemed rather close.

I didn't expand on the adults talking behind the kids at the fogata, but if anyone needs a translation, I can do it. It centered around Flavia commenting on knowing what it was like for a mother not to love a child--she had been sent away to campamentos (camp? not an internado, I guess) because Luce wanted to get rid of her.

I didn't get all of Flavia's conversation with Elo, but that was the gist of it.

I've been saving Sombra, but I guess I'd better start watching. It sounds better than QTPD. We have another bad winter weather advisory, so maybe I can curl up on the couch with some hot chocolate with marshmallows in it and get cracking on Sombra.

YAY! Daylight Savings Time starts on Sunday!!!!!

Didn't know that Amaya had her mother's remains cremated.

I guess she didn't want anyone (particularly Luc the psycho from finding out).

Watching today's episode now. Dammit! All of Amaya's plans are going down the tubes. First the photographs and now the DNA test. Arrrggg!

Vivi, Amaya's plans going downhill reminds me of GH's Luke Spencer's evil plans in causing chaos going up in smoke!

Poor Mariana -at least Uli is keeping his no rape policy -so far - quit egging him on Steve Boudreaux
though I don't want a Romeo & Juliet thing either
I can't hardly watch ;{
Max maybe dying (would you really be feeling that amorous when you've been bit by a snake and have fever though?)

I'm watching right now. I do not find it sexy when someone sucks the poison from a snake bite. It's gross. Even when Fernando Colunga does it.

Okay, guys. Here it comes! I've proofed it all I can. Please forgive any mistakes. You should still get the gist!

I know it'll be great, Lila!

#114 March 3, 2015 Pt. 1

We begin with Amaya and Max in the abandoned building, her head on his shoulder as they lay side by side on the hay. Morning has dawned and she dreamily wishes to herself that this moment could last forever. Max stirs as she is about to touch his face. She asks how he is. He answers that he is fine as long as he doesn’t move. He stands and says they need to get going, to look for help. He extends his hands and pulls her up. Their faces come close and she leans in instinctively (and to test him?) for a kiss but they stop just short. Amaya coughs nervously and limps away.

Mauro and Cesar get ready to go to the airport to fly to Chiapas. Connie wants to go but is discouraged by Mauro, Cesar and Lu.

Ceci and workers find Ivan at the foot of an embankment. He is battered, bloody and bruised. She asks aloud, “what did they do to you?” and curses Uli. She orders the workers to take him to the house because Uli could get him in the hospital and finish him off.

A canine search team is out looking for Max and Amaya. In terrain that looks very similar we see the two helping each other over rocks near a waterfall. One member of the team reports to the Commander that they have found no signs of a body and shows him the car rental papers. This tells them the agency who rented the car out, but not who rented it. They will continue investigating. Max and Amaya continue to climb and hobble along over the rough terrain. A rattlesnake lunges out of the brush and strikes Max! He protects her from getting in striking distance herself as she cries out “where did it bite you?”

It’s a beautiful morning at El P. where Jorge excitedly shares with Heriberto how he wants to take Juli out Salsa dancing. Heri didn’t think ladies like her would like that type of music! Ah, music, like love is universal Jorge gleefully muses as he busts some moves.

Juli, Flavia and Elo are having a parallel conversation about going out dancing, and love and how its flavor, so far, is different with Jorge. She and Franco did more quiet things, Jorge makes her feel young, like doing something wild and crazy!

Back at the hillside, Max’s distress has increased. He leans against a rock as Amaya takes off his sock and sucks the venom from his wound three times, spitting it out. She pronounces that the wound looks better but counsels that they go back to the shack. Max wants to continue looking for help. She argues that he doesn’t look well.

Heri talks to Jorge about his impossible love. Jorge tries to get the name out of him, but Heri won’t give it up. Fired up by his successful fight for Juli, Jorge tells him to fight. “The worse battle is the one you don’t undertake.” Jorge was afraid of rejection at first but he pressed on despite it and now he has won the most wonderful woman in the world!

Rebecca (Ceci’s aunt and Ivan’s biological mother) panics as she sees six workers bringing the prostrate, bloody, dead-looking Ivan to the big house at La Tormenta. Ceci order them to take him to her room. Rebecca protests that he needs a hospital. Ceci repeats that if Ulises finds out Ivan is alive, he will try to kill him again. Ceci will send for a curandera. (native healer) that has her confidence. He will recover! He has to! Rebecca is not so sure.

Pt. 2

Mari awakens, handcuffed to the bed in Uli’s house at El Deseo. Her eyes are blackened from her tear-streaked makeup. She turns and sees Uli standing her at the door telling her it’s no use, she won’t escape this time. She screams for Ivan. The devil, Uli says that for him the suffering is over. He’s dead. He’s gone to a better world. Mari wails for Ivan and struggles against the handcuff. He shakes his head at her in mock pity.

Thankfully we have these happy scenes interspersed with the sick and sadistic!

Juli declares that feels happy, so in love and so grateful. Flavia, as happy as we’ve seen her, her face glowing and blushing at the same time says she wants to fall in love and find it returned. Elo and Juli tell her it will happen, she just has to aprendes a soltar. learn to let go and love will come.

Back to the ugliness which I am summarizing for I cannot bear the detail. Uli comes to the bed and tries to touch Mari’s face. She screams for him not to touch her and that she would rather die than be with him. She hates him, she hates him! The sick, cynical devil has the nerve to tell her that if she hadn’t escaped he wouldn’t have had to do away with Ivan so SHE is responsible for this situation, not him. She yells that he is a coward and curses him! “You and I are here together, he is not, this is your new reality, accept it.” He leaves. Mari cries aloud to Ivan, where is he, he cannot be dead!

Max and Amaya continue struggling up a hill. Amaya concerned about Max and asks to feel his forehead. She announces that he is burning up with fever but wants to continue. Amaya insists that they have to go back so he can rest and hopefully the fever would come down.

Heri continues to plead his case for the impossibility of his love for Flavia. He protests that he is not educated like Jorge; he is a Don Nobody! Jorge tells him not to say that; there are many examples that prove him wrong, like Don Mauro for instance! Before he was a rich and powerful coffee magnate, he was a worker at El P but that didn’t stop him from falling in love with Juliana’s mother. They fell in love, married and had a happy life together for the years that life gave them. Heri is listening now. Jorge tells him to leave his prejudices and his complexes aside and risk everything for this woman he loves for he will never win the love of his life if he doesn’t do so.

Manuel talks to Chino about helping him to get Jose out of the joint. He wants Chino to say that the forced Jose to go along with the robbery. Chino is snotty and mocking of course. Manuel is direct with him. Chino has lots of priors but his son does not and has a chance. Chino wants to know what’s in it for him. Money. Lots of money.

Meanwhile, Geno is in the prison infirmary telling Jose that Manuel is going to demonstrate his love and will help get him out. Despite looking like death warmed over, Jose is snotty and mocking as well. The Dr. needs to attend to Jose’s facial wounds. He removes the bandage and notices that Geno flinches. Jose demands to see a mirror. The Dr. prepares him by telling him he has a deep cut. The Dr. gives him a mirror, Jose takes one look and totally freaks out, yelling “No” and “why” over and over. Since everything is Geno’s fault he yells at her to get out and shut up! Geno scurries away, wounded but declaring her love for the little brat. The Dr. gives him a shot of tranquilizer.

Pt. 3

Manuel presses on in hopes of closing the deal with Chino. He will give him a strong amount of money if he says Jose is innocent. Chino asks what happens if the Judge doesn’t buy it? Then Chino doesn’t get a cent. He has to be very convincing. We see Geno leaving Jose’s room, weeping and asking why, why, why? And grabbing her head like the famous Edvard Munch painting, “The Scream.”

Elo, Flavia, Juli, Alan, Lucio and Vale are together in the family room of El P. The kids have made paper boats and want to go down to the river to sail them. Juli is concerned about the safety and the river is far away but finally agrees they can go if they are accompanied by a couple of finca workers, Reuben and Joel. The kids cheer! (Hmmmm, how far away is the river that Max and Amaya were near or am I way off base here?)

Amaya and Max return to the abandoned building. He lies down on the bed of hay. She covers him with a jacket and puts a cool cloth on his head. His eyes roll back in his head and hee begins to shake and sweat.

Lu is enjoying her afternoon martini over at MM when the phone rings. Lu answers. It’s the DNA lab calls asking for Amaya. Lu pretends to be Amaya. Lab girl has been calling everywhere for Amaya! Anyway, there is not enough DNA in the toothbrush she brought so they need another sample. Lu remembers the night of her freak out (when she first “found out” that Florencia was live) Mauro asking where was his toothbrush. When asked the lab girl says yes, another person can bring the new sample, as long as they have the receipt from the first submission. Lu gets the address from the girl.

Connie is walking with Nora in the garden of MM. She is worried about what is happening with Max; she is not leaning towards believing what Cesar said, as Nora suggests but wonders if something terrible has happened to him! If anything happens to Max she will die or go crazy from grief. “Max and my baby are all I have in life!”

Ever quick, as the baddies usually are, Lu is wondering why did Amaya do a DNA test. Who did she compare the DNA with, Cesar or Max?

Amaya lies close to Max, attending him tenderly. Max, feverous and somewhat delirious asks, “Why did you leave me, because you stopped loving me?

Amaya: I have always loved you from the first time I met you and I have never stopped loving you, my love.

Max: Why did you marry Cesar?

Amaya: For you it is an act of betrayal but I did it as a sacrifice of love. I didn’t want to expose you; because it has to do with your mother. She killed my Parents and my God Mother. If I don’t find proofs against her, she could do the same to me and Valeria. Please forgive me. Forgive me for making you suffer.

Lu searches Cesar’s room and finds the lab receipt. What is Amaya plotting? she wonders. Then she finds the DNA test. “Does she suspect that Cesar is not Mauro’s son and that’s why she’s getting a new test?” Lu concludes she has to stop this retesting!

Despite being febrile and near convulsive, Amaya knows the truth she is speaking is the best medicine for Max. She continues, “Please forgive me because your love for me is turning to hate. Cesar is no good and is allied with your mother and for that reason I had to form an alliance with him. You will see my love that very soon this nightmare will be over.”

Max struggling to answer her finally succeeds. “Amaya, I love you, I can’t hate you, then I love you.”

The cold mask is long gone as Amaya strokes Max’s face and hair. “Don’t hate me, don’t hate me!” She rubs and kisses his face. “Please continue loving me despite everything. I’m certain that one day when this is over, you will understand me and I hope you will be able to forgive my betrayal.” She kisses Max’s face as he continues to shake and babble. “You’re going to be alright.”

Pt. 4

Lu gets some hair from a brush and puts it in a plastic bag, then she goes to her and Mauro’s bathroom, puts his toothbrush into a little baggie and leaves a new one in its place. I think the hair she got must be Max’s but I don’t recognize Max’s bedroom. At any rate, she leaves very pleased with herself.

The curandera tends Ivan. Ceci and Rebecca look on. He’s been beaten badly and she doesn’t know if he will survive. She’ll do all she can but God has the last word. Rebecca still wants him to go the hospital. Ceci wants the curandera to stay by his side constantly. The curandera, Candelaria, says she will but she has to go get her herbs, concoctions (menjunjes) and other natural healing supplies. Ceci tells her that if she saves Ivan, she can name her price. Candelaria chuckles dismissively at the offer: with or without money, she is going to stay and work with the young man!

We cut to poor Mari, cuffed to the bed asking herself that If Ivan is not in the world, what good is it to be alive?

Rebecca wants to know how long he will be unconscious. She can’t say: everybody responds differently. Ceci tells Candelaria not to tell anyone Ivan is there, she assures Ceci she doesn’t have to worry about her and leaves to get something from the kitchen. To remind us she shares responsibility with Uli for this crime and that she is a pervert, Ceci leans over the unconscious, bloodied Ivan and caresses his shoulders and pecs. Ewwwww.

Again, I’ll be as I can with these terrible scenes. Mari struggles against the cuff. Uli brings her food. She asks why she is cuffed and he comes out with that sickening blaming the victim spiel. She hates him but he maintains one day that will change. Even though Ivan is not physically with her, he is with her always: she is a one man woman. Uli says he is that man, Mari says she will NEVER be his woman!

Ceci and Rebecca continue to hover and watch Candelaria who tells them impatience isn’t a good counselor. Everything takes time. Rebecca wants to know how they can help. Candelaria says they can help by leaving, the grief and fear have a negative impact on the boy; he needs peace and tranquility. Ceci and Rebecca leave. Candelaria has a healing altar with candles glowing; she mixes her potions with mortar and pestle and then performs the healing rituals, running a bunch of herbs over Ivan’s body and blowing cigar smoke over him.

Uli continues with his verbal vomitus that one day Mari will accept the life of a Princess he offers her. Never. She will only love Ivan until the day she dies. Nobody will die of love he says, she should cut the drama accept the grand opportunity he is offering her. He brings over a tray of food and red Kool-Aid. She flings the food away. He starts to hit her and says she may not believe it but her rebelliousness makes him want her more; he could take her by force but he has class. He warns her not to make him change his opinion of her or she will regret it. He leaves.

Pt. 5

Amaya unbuttons Max’s shirt (yes!) and he whispers, “Tell me you love me, even if it’s the last time.”

Amaya: Don’t talk that way Max, as if you were dying. You have to live. Please. Amaya wets a cloth and bathes his chest.

Max: Amaya, Amaya. He looks at her weekly

Amaya: Tell me, what more can I do for you?

Max pants, his eyes closed now: I need you. He gasps as she gently wipes the cloth toward his stomach.

Amaya: And I need you. She kisses the side of his mouth tentatively and then goes more fully for his lips when he responds.

Mauro and Cesar are at the airport, waiting to take their flight. Cesar thinks Ivan is in cahoots with Max to cover up Max’s clandestine meeting with Amaya. Mauro doubts it and has reached Alcantara, his chief of security, at El P by cell phone and puts it on speaker between he and Cesar. Alcantara tells him he has bad news. The car that Max rented was in an accident, it plummeted over a ravine and exploded. No bodies were found and they are both missing. Mauro grabs his head as if stricken and Cesar has a rare moment of unrehearsed shock. They look at each other.

Max and Amaya are not acting like accident victims but the lovers that they are. She is now above him, ministering healing through her lips. She breaks the kiss to rise and remove her sweater, then her blouse, then her brow. Max watches. His trembling and sweating has stopped and strength seems to be flooding through his being as he drinks in the sight of her above him, her love, and breasts bared. She leans down and they continue the deep, healing kiss. He asks if she still loves him and she answers that she does with all her soul. Max has sat up and they are each fully partners in the passionate kiss.

Pt. 6

Back at the airport Mauro asks if they are alive. Alcantara says he cannot verify that. All they know is there were no bodies in the car and they can’t imagine where they could be and what shape they are in after such a spectacular accident. Mauro orders all his people to work with the police to look high and low, cost is no object! He wants his son and daughter in law found as soon as possible! Mauro wants the location of the accident, he will get there as soon as he can! Cesar says that Amaya must be alive. Mauro adds that his brother must be, too. The accident happened yesterday, the day of Ivan’s wedding. That has them missing for twenty four hours, they must hurry! Mauro worries aloud: they must be injured, they need medical attention!

Meanwhile poor Mari is worrying the handcuff on the cheap lattice-like headboard. She’s worn a dent in one of the verticle slats. After an indeterminate amount of time we see her asleep, her eyes still blackened with smeared mascara, a tear rolling down her cheek. Even in this state she is more beautiful than Ceci will ever be. Moments later she is awake again, working on the handcuff. She screams for help and falls helpless against the headboard, sobbing.

Amaya covers Max’s face with kisses as he lies on the bed of hay. Perhaps a different exertion has closed his eyes this time. She tells him he is the love of her life. Sexy devil asks her to tell him again, to tell him she loves him. Amaya smiles broadly and genuinely for the first time in weeks and gazes at him lovingly. She obliges, telling him he is the love of her life; she loves him like crazy, punctuating the words with kisses. He tells her he loves her with the same madness.

Mari now has her feet braced against the headboard as leverage as she pulls at the handcuff. She has broken it loose! Okay. I have paused. I want to enjoy this brief moment of freedom. The writers have been so unfair to this couple, I fully expect Uli to be at the door when she gets there and to imprison her in a more secure and even crueler way! Give me a moment. . .

She picks up a chair and braces it against the door. She prays/cries that life has no meaning without him.

Okay, Uli and Effer talk some coffee stuff. I never quite get that right and welcome y’all’s help. Anyway, Uli says he’s going to sue the Montesinos for defamation as soon as Mari calms down. Effer, really earning HIS name, tells Uli he has hired a new staff of workers from another state: they don’t know anybody so he doesn’t have to worry about them going around gossiping. AND he told them that Mari was insane so to ignore her if they hear her screaming. Uli thanks him for his thoughtfulness and dismisses him. The sick bastard wonders to himself how long it will be before Mariana accepts him.

Mariana is looking around the room trying to think of what her next move will be. Oh no! She picks up a shard of glass, drops to her knees and begs God to forgive her for what she is going to do. She grimaces hard as tears cascade down her face and we freeze in anguish with her!

Okay, there you have it. I was off today for ice and snow but I'm hoping that was the last time. Back to work tomorrow so I'll see you guys in the morning.

I feel better than I did this morning, too. Feel bad for Mariana but somehow it's going to work out. Now let's see how much of what Amaya told Max he'll remember after their fevered and passionate reconciliation in the love shack! If he remembers how will it all play out? Lu is not fully but somewhat on to Amaya. What will Cesar do when mommy dearest tells him? This show just don't quit!

Damn damn damn. I shouldn't have watched this before bedtime.

Lila, my heart is aching for you. Such a tough episode to recap. I am glad you had some tender, happy moments as well. You've covered everything very well. Even though I hit FF I don't feel like I've missed a thing thanks to your details.

Just saw your comment. I'm glad you feel better!

Lila- You were on fire with this recap, just like Max! :)

Amaya, my goodness. Not sure I feel comfortable with her jumping Max's bones like that while he was feverish and delirious. Yeah, I'm not sure of just how much he'll actually remember. We'll see.

Mariana- No! I know she won't succeed with this suicide attempt, but I still feel so bad for her. At least Ivan is unconscious and doesn't know what's happening. Yeah, Ceci looked sick touching him while he was out. Perhaps that made me even more uncomfortable with Amaya getting it on with feverish Max.

Hey friends, haven't read your comments yet, noticed a needed correction:

* She announces that he is burning up with fever but he wants to continue.

Thank you, back in a flash!

Sara, thank you, honey! Oh, Monday and Tuesday was rough for us novelistas, wasn't it! Thank you for your kind words, Sara. Wow! You got right on my recap. That makes me feel good, too! This is getting darker and darker. Let's all keep standing by each other!

Thank you, Vivi!

Vivi, girl, Max did say he "needed" her. They know each others lover's short hand. What's a little snake bite to a healthy, strapping, love-starved man like Max! Whew! Cool down, Lila!

Poor Mariana, man! That couple is taking a hit, aren't they? Where the hell did that devil, Uli come from. What a psycho he is!

If I were naming the episodes this would be "You Give me Fever". I like the Peggy Lee version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGb5IweiYG8

Vivi and other gals, forget Ceci's sick caressing of comatose Ivan, go back and look at that scene fully aware that Max was asking Amaya to SHOW that she loved him. He is too principled to initiate the lovemaking. Ever since the marriage to Cesar, she has been the one testing and provoking him, right up to the time they left in the morning for help SHE was leaning in for the kiss. Max's fever and delirium wasn't all snake bite. He loves Amaya desperately and her betrayal has nearly driven him to madness. In the weakened state after the accident and snake bite and perhaps thinking he would die, he let his nobility go and asked her to love him, to prove she loved him.

Yah, baby. I'm going to watch that scene again while I listen to Miss Peggy Lee!

:D

Ok, Lila. You've convinced me that Max both wanted and requested the sexual healing Amaya obligingly gave.

Told y'all that Ceci Goldilocks Country Girl was going to take advantage of the opportunity with Ivan: don't be surprised if she pulls an Araceli Cosby!

Where are Uli's parents ? He's giving Helena Cassadine a run for her $$$$!

Vivi! Girl, we need some freely given love in this thing. We're starved, too!

:D

Jose annoyed the stew out of me. "Oh a scar!" He's alive. I've gotten to where I fast forward through his scenes. Is it mean for me to say that story is irrelevant? I guess it really isn't. I'm just more into the other stories.

Hahahaha! Sara, no you're not mean! Jose has been a snot since he entered and he is not any better. I don't know if he's ever going to have any growth or change like Flavia, for instance. He's just a frickin' brat and it's ok if we don't like him! So there!

;p We both our tongues out at him!

I can't stand, Jose either. Maybe his spoiled, entitled behavior will serve the purpose of making Constanza think about her own behavior. Geno and Manuel also need to acknowledge that they both royally screwed up in the way they handled themselves and their son all these years. We have definitely seen Manuel become more humble since this all started, now that all his dirty laundry has been aired publicly. He won't be so quick to throw stones at anybody. I certainly don't see him having a bad attitude anymore if/when Max gets back with Amaya, and not the mother of his child, Connie. While I understand that Jose is in grave danger in prison, it seems they are rewarding his bad behavior by pulling all these strings to get him out.

You're so right, Vivi! Manuel, Geno, Connie and Jose are a study in how to make your life an infierno by crapping in your own nest with baaaad decisions!

QA Peeps! Where are the rest of y'all? This was yet another pivotal episode!

How much will Max remember? Will he think he dreamed what Amaya said?

Amaya has kinda been busted. What will Cesar do when Lu tells him?

Will Amaya and Max convincingly get their clothes back on and straightened before Max and Cesar find them?

Cesar expected hanky-panky before he learned of the accident; will their bruised and battered countenances throw him off the track once he actually sees them?

Great episode, come on and weigh in!

Lila- I am so disappointed that Amaya's little plots are being exposed before they bear fruit. Now I really believe the memory card did not make it to the laptop, because everything is going wrong for her. I shudder to think how Cesar will react when Lu tells him Amaya was having his DNA checked. I sure as heck hope he does not learn that Max and Amaya made love.

You are so right, Vivi! Cesar would kill them both! He's already said he would get rid of them both. I am hoping that this extreme situation, the brush with death, Amaya saving his life twice in one day and his deep consideration of the astounding 180 she did on him will make him believe the truth about his mother, no matter how horrifying. I hope this reconciliation and re-bonding in the abandoned shack will take him out of the land of disbelief in terms of Lucrecia and he actually starts working with Amaya secretly. Is that too much to ask? Max already KNOWS Cesar is a low down snake in the grass and now he's been bitten by a real one, I hope this is the turning point and they work together for justice!

Checking in folks. My grandson's girlfriend MADE me get hooked on Jane the Virgin. Ay Dios Mio. A Spanglishsoap (note the English!) of the finest kind.

OK, Lila--Great reading. I'm half way through and got to Jose looking at himself in the mirror. If the writers think that having a prominent scar on his face is going to make me feel sorry for him, they are wrong. Besides, Manuel can well afford plastic surgery once he's out. There there's Genova Lab's scar eraser he could try.

Lila--I can predict Max isn't going to remember any of it. If he does any of it, he'll think it was a dream. Amaya will have to revert back to her snotty self.

Thanks, Anita! Always so love your deep and comprehensive comments. See you when you get back!

Awww, really, Anita! You're probably right but I'm gonna hold on to it until my hopes are dashed!

. . .and that could happen today.

:(

Did Max and Amaya really make love, in his weakened state? I saw him pretty much out of it the whole time. BUT, if they did, THIS is the time for her to get pregnant. That will really put Cesar in a Kill Max Mood. Darn, I'll have to go back and look at that scene again.

I always worry when there is a scene with someone tied up or handcuffed in a kidnapping that someone will need to go to the bathroom. (I may be showing my age.) I was sure Mariana would go to the bathroom first, before thinking about a future without Ivan and with Uli. Speaking of Uli, he is one of the most vile villains to have graced the pantalla in a long time.

Heri wouldn't have stood much of a chance with the Before Uli Flavia. She had been willing to make a play for Ivan, but not for anything serious--she told one of her friends it would just be for a fling (and to take him away from Mari). Heri is not as cute as Ivan, but he has a big heart and comes across as an honest, hard worker. They would make a good team.

I didn't think Mauro was ever an ordinary worker at El P. I thought he was there as the estate administrator (like Hector is now). Still, that was a much more humble beginning than what he is now.

Steve--Uli's parents are unimportant. He's the nephew and heir of El Deseo when the old guy died. It was so long ago, I can't remember if folks were surprised he was named because there were other possible heirs, or that neighboring folks were surprised he had an heir at all and thought El Deseo was going to be sold.

Lila--You wondered: "Hmmmm, how far away is the river that Max and Amaya were near or am I way off base here?"

Remember it took Ivan several hours by bus to get to La Tormenta WUN. It took them only two-three hours for him and Cecy to drive back in a car.

Max and Amaya would have rented the car at the Chiapas airport and headed north to the WUN town where Ivan and Mari were getting married. They were probably well on their way when the tire blew, an hour, at least. Otherwise, they would have stayed on the highway and started walking back to Chiapas.

Well, we'll know in a few minutes how critical the kids going to the river is to the story. I hope nothing happens to Lucio, Vale or Alan.

Hi, Anita!

From the comments above, you know where I stand on the did they or didn't they. I think they did with adaptations for his weakened state and Amaya continuing to take the initiative, if you know what I mean. Don't forget to put on "Fever" when you go back to watch the scene. "D

Girl, I think of the bathroom, too. in these situations. It is so real! Uli is vile, psychotic, viscous, cynical and I can't imagine a big enough anvil for him!

Heri is good people and yes, he will do well with the new Flavia. Re Mauro's status before, would he be like the position Ceci just offered Ivan over at La Tormenta? It seems he had a job of great responsibility at El P but nevertheless was an employee and not on the level of an owner. Ok, I should have read the rest of your comment.

Re Uli. Not that it would advance the plot or anything but he is so rotten I wouldn't doubt if he killed the old owner and rightful heir and usurped his place. That's just me fuming about this imp of satan!

Terrible, terrible, Uli warning Mari that so far he's been a gentleman with class, but she'd better watch out or he will change his mind....about assaulting and raping her was left understood. That should be enough for Mariana to decide to do something drastic. Oh dear!

I was just going to ask what you thought about the sailing paper boats story line. It's just like they emphasized so much that the river was far away, etc. If it's not important the kids could have wanted to fly kites or something. I don't know. Weird.

Whew, Lila--You left me panting and fanning myself. Gotta go back and watch that love scene again. I want to match it to your words.

Yah, Anita. So heartbreaking! Monday and Tuesday were soooo rough!

I think I read where you said you were going to catch up on La Sombra. I would so love to have you join the patio there: your observations, detail and analysis will fit right in with the wonderful group we have now. It's only two weeks in, too!

Well, it's almost showtime!

Hahahahhahaha! I Luuuuuve love scenes! Thanks, amiga!

;D

Lila--your comment at 7:09 this morning was right on. I think you got all of Max's reasonings and emotions perfectly. In Monday's recap, I tried to make it clear, she was the one enticing, expecting, waiting for a kiss, but it was Max who continually turned away from her.

Lila--as to Ivan's position at WUN La Tormenta. Yes, that is the position Mauro would have held at El P. Don't forget, Ivan has a university degree. He was probably staying at El P. to be close to Hector and learn all he can about administration. Max hired him to specifically be the administrator for La Zona Estrella--which must be pretty big.

Vivi--about the DNA. In a clever twist on the ordinary TN Cliché, Lu isn't switching the results by paying someone at the lab to corrupt themselves. She's taking the initiative ahead of time. Of course that will make it pretty difficult to not accept the falsified results. Oh, this is such a good novela.

Ok, Anita. Gotcha re Mauro's position with El P in the days of Juliana's mother. Jorge is a good friend. That was a great pep talk he gave Heriberto. It's all in the timing, isn't it? Heri and Flavia had not run into each other before now. She is ready for love, she is sincere and this may be a parallel to her dad's story with the original owners. Sweet.

Yes, Anita! This is soooo good! So I was right to say that what Lu did was get Max's hair and Mauro's toothbrush thus confounding Amaya's theory? Great!

Thanks for your comments on my 7:09 comment. Amaya is desperately in love with Max, too.

Gosh I hope he remembers and doesn't say something while he's delirious and gives it away!

Ok, I'm scaring myself!

I had no idea that sex could cure a snake bite! So much better than sucking out venom from someone's foot. Ewwww.

The curandera was fun though! I liked when Becca asked what that stuff was she was making, and Calendaria shows her the bowl, like "See? this is the stuff I'm making. Anything else?" I'll take any amusement they want to throw our way at his point in the story.

Kelly

I did notice the curandera had some attitude: probably well-deserved for even the arrogant Ceci to know, trust and respect her.

Yah, get your humor where you can. It's gotten kinda dark in here.

Watching my recording now. Yup. Pretty dark.

Hey everyone!!

Haven't gotten through all the episodes for this week but just wanted to comment on Julianas storyline with Jorge. I loved the scene where Juliana talked to flavia and eloisa about what she does with Jorge and di with Franco. It was beautiful.

Im glad theyve shown you can move on, you can fall in love again and every relationship is different and the dynamic will be different but that doesnt make any relationship more or less meaningful.

Just my two cents. Im off to finish the rest of the episodes.

Lovely thoughts, superalfie!

Hi, Superalfie! That was a lovely scene! I liked the support they were giving Flavia. I can't remember a bitchy girl turning nice before and recognizing that her pursuit of somebody else's man was inappropriate. That wasn't her only change: she has grown from a snobby, self-absorbed, entitled b into an accomplished young woman with goals and aspirations. She's helping herself and her family!

I'll do a recap of today's episode in the morning. We're supposed to have a snow day.

I thought I heard that! Enjoy it and take your time!

Quiero Amarte, Wednesday, 3/4/15
Part 1:
We start where we left off. Mariana, believing the love of her life (Ivan) is dead, and imprisoned by the man obsessed with her (Ulises), has decided to take her own life by slashing her wrists with broken glass. Black mascara stained tears run down her face, and red blood flows from her veins and onto the white wedding dress, as she faints to the floor.

In the afterglow of their fevered lovemaking, Amaya caresses the face of sleeping Max, and tells him how happy she is to be by his side. She notices he is still feverish and prays for his recovery.

Meanwhile. Mauro and Cesar are still stuck in the airport in D.F. awaiting clearance to fly to Chiapas. Mauro call Hector and alerts him to what’s happening, and instructs Hector to take some of the men and drive up north to assist in the search for Max and Amaya. Cesar is on the phone with Lucrezia giving her the update. Her joy at the possibility that Amaya might be dead trumps her worry that her son might also be dead. One problem down- just the Florencia problem to go. Cesar is upset that Amaya had not changed her will in his favor or signed Zona Estrella over to him before her possible demise. Connie overhears Lucrazy’s end of the conversation and freaks out. Lu tries to not roll her eyes, and tells her to chill. She then goes off to do more important things than hang around waiting for news on her son’s well-being. Luckily, Nora is there for Connie when her panic and worry over Max causes her to faint.

Hector interrupts Juli and Jorge’s amorous discussion about how they are going to handle their long-distance relationship. They decide that they will alternate weekends in the city and in the country. Hector takes Jorge aside and tells him about Max and Amaya. Jorge insists on joining in the search and goes to inform Juli. She can immediately tell something is wrong from the look on his face.

The kids, Val, Lucio and Alan, are on their walk to the river to play pirates with their paper boats, accompanied by two workers. The search for stones to use as cannons, when Val runs right into the legs of a man who makes her scream. No, not because he’s some horrible, scary stranger. But because it’s her no good, lout of a “grandfather”, Cipriano. He’s his usual charming self, and basically tells her and the rest of the kids and workers to bugger off. They note that he’s carrying a bunch of dead looking coffee tree branches in a sack.

Juli freaks when Jorge breaks the news to her. She insists on joining the search, but Jorge refuses. Max is more than a brother to her. He was the one who brought her back into the family fold. Jorge promises she will see her brother again and he will be fine. He begs her to be strong for the rest of the family.

While all of this drama and worry is happening, Max continues to sleep and Amaya continues to care for him and asks God to make him better—even if he can’t be hers. Amaya starts to have second thoughts and regrets about having confessed all to Max. She wonders if she’s made things worse.

Part 2:
Uli and Effer find Mariana blood and unconscious. Uli is so worried about her that he insists on taking her to the hospital and doesn’t care if she denounces him to the authorities. We later see them arriving at the hospital, and Uli is in a panic about Mari.

Despite the real possibility that Amaya might be dead, Lucrazy decides she still needs to cover her tracks. She takes the DNA samples from Mauro and Max to the lab, tells them she brought a new sample of the other person, just to makes sure it was all done right, and insists she doesn’t need a new receipt. If Amaya is alive, she’ll get a BIG surprise when she gets the results. Lu smiles smugly to herself.

Connie is in bed awake, but doesn’t feel any better. Nora takes her phone, supposedly to call her doctor, but ends up calling Manuel first. She tells him about everything happening and that Connie needs him. Geno, after speaking to the doctor tending Jose, also calls Manuel to fret and moan about her poor little baby’s scarred face and mental state. Manuel, probably wishing he had a clone at this point, tries to calm Geno down by assuring her he is doing what he can to get Jose out ASAP, and once he’s out the scar can be fixed with surgery. He explains why he has to go see Connie now, but makes plans to see Geno later.

Jorge and Juli explain what’s going on to Eloisa and Flavia. Flavia also insists on joining in the search, but Jorge tells her the terrain is difficult, and it’s best that the three of them stay to keep the kids from getting suspicious. He heads out with Heriberto and Hector, while Juli, Flavia, and Elo sink to the couch worrying in a hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil pose.

Mauro and Cesar have finally made it to the crash/search site and speak with the police who are out with search dogs.

Hortensia asks Chelo what’s up with all the men being gone. As Chelo tells her about Max and Amaya’s accident, and Horty wonders if they could be dead, the kids wander into the kitchen and hear all. Val panics and her mom being dead, and Alan and Lucio also worry about Max. They run off to Juli, Elo and Flavia, who try to reassure them that Amaya and Max will be found safe and sound. Val insists on talking to her dad, and Juli leaves a message on his phone, while trying to comfort inconsolable Val. Val insists that despite the hate she’s been throwing her mom’s way lately, she doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her.

Connie is lamenting that she can’t go on without Max, he’s all she has, as Nora tells her to think of her baby. Manuel arrives and Connie gives him a frosty reception. She melts a bit when Manuel insists she focus on what’s important—the baby and letting the doctor examine her. The doctors finds that her blood pressure is very high and she needs rest. He writes a prescription for a chill pill (calmante), which Manuel insists on taking care of.

Horacio gets back to his desk and listens to Juli’s message about calling him right away. He starts having delusions about Juli calling to beg him to come to Chiapas and be her boyfriend. Ha! When he calls, his delusional bubble is soon burst when she explains what happened and puts hyperventilating Val on the phone. Val tells Whor how bad she feels about how mad she was about Amaya marrying Cesar, but she doesn’t want her to die! Whor says he’s on his way to Chiapas.

Part 3:
Caro is still in Tuxla awaiting Amaya’s further instructions (no new info about the photographer), but can’t get in touch with her. She finally decides to call Montesinos Manor, where the maid informs her what’s going on. Caro rushes to El Paraiso to be with Vale, who runs straight into her arms crying. Caro hugs her and assures her that Amaya knows she loves her, and all will be well.

Manuel is sending the Montesinos driver off to pick up the prescription, when Lucrazy saunters up and wants to know what the heck he’s doing. He doesn’t waste time and lays into her for going off to do God knows what, instead of being here to tend to Connie who is carrying HER grandchild and has a high-risk pregnancy, as they await news of HER son’s survival! Lu insists she’s worried too, she just doesn’t show it outwardly like non-lizard people do. She blames Manuel, and his immoral double life, for his daughter being all alone in Montesinos Manor with no place to go. She always knew he wasn’t trustworthy. Manuel says ditto, he’s never trusted her either. He thinks Mauro deserves someone MUCH better- someone who could give him genuine love and affection. “Women who give love and affection, like your late wife, get nothing in return except being cheated on!” (Touché!) Manuel is struck silent. Lu reminds him that he’s in HER house, and he better respect her.

Cip and Aaron/Negro meet to finalize plans to sow the plague that night, so that Negro can get back to D.F. ASAP. Cip just cares about getting his money to bankroll his cantina habit, and getting back at Uli. Later that night as they infest Uli’s fields, they wonder where all of Uli’s people are, but it just makes their job easier.

Uli, meanwhile, is next to Mari’s hospital bedside as she sleeps. He can’t believe she would try to take her life for that imbecilic Ivan.

Jorge and the El Paraiso workers join Mauro and Cesar in the WUN police station. Jorge is optimistic that they were not found in the car. Cesar is just the opposite, speculating that their bodies might have been washed away by the river. Mauro tells him to quit it with the negativity.

Max is awake and seems to be doing better, thanks to Amaya’s care he says. She’s managed to find some more fruit and is optimistic about them being found soon. Max asks if she wants them to be found. He has mixed feelings. He likes being with her—even more now that she’s told him she loves him. Amaya starts to get an uncertain look on her face, and Max asks if she didn’t tell him she loves him. He asks what EXACTLY happened between them, because he doesn’t know if he dreamed it or not. He remembers she told him that she married Cesar to bring about justice. And why did she tell him afterwards that she loves him and then they made love? Cara de, “what the heck do I say now” de Amaya. End of episode.

Vivi, I love your style, girl. How are you able to be so efficient, yet effective and so descriptive with words:

Cesar is upset that Amaya had not changed her will in his favor or signed Zona Estrella over to him before her possible demise.

Juli, Flavia, and Elo sink to the couch worrying in a hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil pose.

He starts having delusions about Juli calling to beg him to come to Chiapas and be her boyfriend.

Lu insists she’s worried too, she just doesn’t show it outwardly like non-lizard people do.

Cesar is just the opposite, speculating that their bodies might have been washed away by the river.

BAM! Great recap, girl!

Ok. So. Just as I feared, Max has a scrambled memory of what just happened in the love shack! Oh my, this is serious! Will he come out with some of what Amaya told him an inopportune time? Somehow Amaya has to maximize this time that she has him to herself to tell him to STFU or they all could like.. . DIE! Lord, what a pickle she is in! The expression on her face is priceless!

Note: Don't make love to a delirious, febrile man, even if he's FINE and he BEGS you to unless you know hypnosis and can make him forget inconvenient parts, or ALL of it!!

I HATE ULI. . .I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM!!!!

Lila- Thanks, amiga. And ditto on the Uli hate! But wasn't it amazing that crazy stalker Uli, showed more concern for the well-being of Mari, than Lu did for her son Max?! I loved seeing her and Manuel take the gloves off and just vent their disdain for each other without having to pretend in front of Mauro.

So, what will Amaya say today? Can't wait to find out what she tells Max.

Interesting point, Vivi! Psychopath Uli DID show more concern for Mari than Lu did for Max! Two different flavors of psycho!

You know what, many episodes back Manuel said to Max that he knew Lu couldn't stand him. That didn't surprise me but I had never heard them go at each other like that! Wow! Lu got the last word, though. Nobody is letting Manny live down his double life.

Nice retelling of the latest chapter in the snotty-nosed brat's life. It's funny how Geno was a sympathetic character for me at first but once Jose came into the story, he killed any understanding I had for her plight. At the end of the day nobody made her become the querida of a married man and her righteous indignation falls flat!

Indeed! What the heck is Amaya going to say? She has got to BEG him not to talk about the hours they spent together in the love shack. His jumbled, puzzled recollections and questioning her reminded her and all of us why she had to keep him in the dark!

Lu & Cesar: Mexico's version of Helena & Stavros Cassadine!

Manuel said to Mauro, not to Max.

Lila- Yep. Manuel has expressed his dislike for Lu as few times to Mauro, but Mauro always dismisses it as no big deal. Just a little clash of personalities. This is all part of his clueless-ness and naivete about Lu and Cesar.

ITA about Geno. BOTH she and Manuel made bad choices about the way they started and conducted their relationship all these years. Sure, she may have nagged and pushed for him to leave his wife and go public with their relationship, but no one made her stay. And clearly she spoiled Jose as much as Manuel spoiled Connie, and their are reaping the bitter fruit of that.

Thank you, Vivi!!

I loved the scene between Lu and Manuel, too.

Vivi--Excellent recap, told by a true wordsmith. Loved all of it.

We should also compare Uli's care for Mari with Cecy's with Ivan. She knows darn well Ivan isn't going to come back and finish Ivan off. He got his prize and skedaddled. I think Uli is just as panicked at having a dead Mariana on his hands as much as the obsessive stalker he his. Sooner or later, the whole WUN caper is going to come to light. I think he knows it. How is he going to explain he doesn't have Mariana anymore.

I hope Vale remembers about the dead or dying coffee plants Cip was carrying. She may not be able to put the plague that affects Uli's coffee with the plants her grandfather "the lout" had. But the scene was there for a purpose.

I'm glad Caro made it to El P., even though it means she might have to see Jorge and Juliana together. It will be more awkward for them than for Caro, because they don't know she saw them together.

Max, Amaya, the Shack and Secrets. I think since we're barely at the halfway point, Amaya is going to deny any of that happening. She can't really trust Max not to go to his mother with Amaya's fears.

We'll find out today, surely. I'll be doing the recap. It bums me out that I can't find advance episodes on U-Tub. Sorry, but I would rather stay away from sites I have to register for.

In a case of life imitating art, wasn't that a shock to hear the U.S. ambassador to S.Korea was sliced open on the face by an attacker? At least they got him. He also had major damage done to his arm, but unfortunately I saw a picture of his face. Jose should consider himself lucky--his comes off at the end of the day.

Anita- I immediately thought of Jose when I saw the stories about the S. Korean ambassador yesterday! Poor man. Him, I feel sorry for. Jose, not so much.

Vivi--Remember that Manuel's wife had been dead for 5 years and at no time did Manuel ever "manned" up about Geno--even to the story they were going to tell about their relationship just starting out.

As much as I admire his friendship with Mauro, helping him out of his deep depression after Florencia "died," and staying beside him, sharing Mauro's secrets, Manuel is basically a coward.

I meant "man" up.

BTW-OT -- I just watched the first episode of La Sombra. Boy am I going to get confused. There are too many actors that belong to other tns.

Did anyone notice that one of the Directors for La Sombra is Jose Elias Moreno? Talk about double duty!

Anita- No doubt, Manuel was a total coward. But Geno allowed herself to be a doormat.

Anita- We'd be happy to give you some refreshers on who's who over the Sombra. Yolanda/Geno just popped up for the first time last night. I'd love it if you could join us for that tn. No, did not notice to Jose Elias is a director on that. How cool!

Hi, Anita!

Who is Jose Elias? (Too lazy to Google)

Vivi, looks like you're getting your snow!

Yes, Anita, like I told you yesterday we would LOVE to have you on the Sombra patio/fireside! Yaaay! The most striking double duty is our sweet Juli is a cold, severe, heartless control freak on Sombra! Yikes!

And re YouTube Anita, what do you mean with this statement: I would rather stay away from sites I have to register for.

I just finished reading the synopsis and the first recap. Will try to squeeze it in between Jane the Virgin, Que Te Perdone, and Un Refugio--besides QA. Thank goodness LQNPA is over, I loved it even more the second time around. Same thing happening with Refugio.

Vivi--I agree, Geno allowed herself to be a doormat, but I think she had Jose not long after they started their affair. I'm sure she wanted and needed Manny's financial support and didn't want to do anything that meant losing it. So she stuck with it. He was probably persuasive about loving her and needing her and always "Manana" for going public with their relationship, but hey, 5 years?

Lila--Jose Elias Moreno is our Mauro!!!

Lila--A couple of sites I tried give you a whole lot of grief and then want you to register before you can watch anything. I so want to stay under as many radars as possible.

And for all Manuel's good points- his friendship with Mauro, and, um, well that's it really- he still doesn't learn. Shmuck accuse Lu of not caring for HIS daughter? Lu is horrible, obviously, but Constanza really isn't her responsibility. Manuel has yet to recognize his role in these problems of his. We know where Jose gets it from. Poor kid, never had fancy cars or big houses, just a comfortable life in an international boarding school with (I assume) a top notch education. They don't deserve big anvils, but maybe a smack from a padded mallet. Not too padded though.

Kelly

Off to watch my episode.
But Kelly--Love your idea of a padded mallet!

WoW! Jose Elias Moreno - "Mauro" - a Director, too! Hot dog! No wonder it's so good!

Man! I have really lucked out after coming off my novela hiatus! YAAAAY!

Vivi - lol - non lizard people

more comments when I finish reading

question maybe for someone who knows more about coffee stuff than me - wouldn't Cip walking through El P with plague ridden plants contaminate their coffee too?

sneaky two shoes- According to Cip, while they were sowing the plague, he told Negro that in order for the plague to infect the good plants/trees, they had to plant the bad ones super close. Maybe just quickly walking by isn't enough of a danger. But surely if Paraiso or Estrella plants get infected, and Lucio, Alan or Val mention Cip and his bag of dead trees, the adults would put the clues together.

I'm so glad they accelerated the plague story, now that Ulises is out of the ranch, they can infect all the plants without danger. It's horrible that the reason is Mariana is in the hospital but so satisfying to think that when he comes back everything he owns with be destroyed.

As far as Mariana and Ivan, the fact that they got married both legally AND in church makes the waiting a lot more manageable. If the wedding had been stopped it would've torture but this is definitely a win for them.

Jose's storyline is boring, period. There is nothing exciting happening there except a brat getting exactly what he deserves and I don't know what Genoveva thinks but a lot worse things could happen in prison.

I'm glad Caro is behaving like a normal human being and they haven't turned her into a crazy stalker trying to kill Jorge and Juliana like is novela customary. QA continues to surprise.

About Manuel's and Lucrecia's fight, I gotta say, I was on Lucrecia's side. Manuel has no right to speak about her "sins" when he has plenty himself and Constanza's health is not her direct responsibility.

Our stalker duo (Cecy and Ulises) continue to surprise as well. I love that no one is purely evil or good and these two are the best example. They have done horrible things to be with the people they "love" but at least he rushed to save Mariana and Cecy to make sure Ivan is protected and taken care of.

Ay Max and Amaya! I'm so in love with these two. I don't what the deal was with the audience in Mexico but these two have some amazing chemistry whether they're in love, fighting, etc. And yes, Max totally wanted it :)

And on another twist on the novela classic, Max doesn't assume it was dream but rather questions what he knows for sure happened and maintains his suspicions.

Even though Lucrecia got ahead of the game, it demonstrates that there is no way to see how this story will go. I always think they're going to zig and then they zag.

Recap will be up later tonight.

Ay Max and Amaya! I'm so in love with these two. I don't what the deal was with the audience in Mexico but these two have some amazing chemistry whether they're in love, fighting, etc. And yes, Max totally wanted it :)

Superalfie: Amen, Sister!

I also like that Max knows they got it on. I'm sure he's smart enough to shut up about it and just have some sweet daydreams about it so we can relive it, too. Amaya said right after Cesar said it that if found out they were "together" he would kill them both!

Keep your mouth shut, Max! (Gosh. I hope neither of them talks in their sleep! Yikes!)

Recap for Thu Mar 5 (Capitulo 116) – Pt 1

MAX REMEMBERS EVERYTHING - Max begins to tell Amaya what she said to him during his “love in a time of fever,” that she married Cesar so justice could be done. Amaya is cara de impactada that Max remembers everything, including her telling him she loved him and that they made love. He remembers, but he wants her to repeat it because maybe it was his fever. (Nah, he remembers, he just wants to hear it from her lips.) Thinking fast, but not well, she tells him it was all a fever dream. [We interrupt this scene to bring you Cesar, pacing back and forth swearing if they betrayed him, he’ll kill them both. Now, back to your regularly scheduled scene.] She’s sure she never said she loved him. He’s just as sure she did. He doesn’t believe her. He could swear they made love. He feels it.

Amaya is still trying to convince Max they did *not* make love. (I hate to be crude, Max, but all you need to do to tell if Amaya is lying or telling the truth, is check yourself where it counts.) She calls him a knucklehead (terco – stubborn). Amaya is really afraid if they are truthful with each other, Max might slip and surely Cesar will kill them if he thought anything went on between the two of them. Max doesn’t give up. He makes one last try. Is Amaya saying they were never “together,” she doesn’t love him and she didn’t marry Cesar so justice could be done? Amaya says he either dreamt it or was hallucinating ‘cause it wasn’t real, didn’t happen. She gets up and turns her back to him. He shakes his head because she hasn’t convinced him.

El Paraiso - Despite watching a movie, everyone gathered in the living room is sad, quiet and depressed. Whoracio arrives with luggage in tow. If he could have conjured up a whirlwind, that would have been the best picture. It was probably just as well he arrived. It creates a distraction. Juli tells him there is no news.

Whoracio comforts Vale. She’s afraid she going to lose her mother as she did her grandmother Flo. Whor tells her that is not going to happen. Juli lets him know she appreciates his presence because Vale has been very upset. She calmed down a bit after Caro arrived. Whor puffs up and says there’s no one better than daddy to take care of his little girl.

Montesinos Mansion - Consta and Nora convince Manuel he can go home. Consta doesn’t want to return to his place and Manuel can’t stay at MM because of the run in he just had with Luce. Nora volunteers to stay with Consta. Constanza does permit Manuel to give her a big hug, which she returns. They kiss goodbye.

El Paraiso - Jorge calls Juli. She answers with a “mi amor,” which bums Whoracio out. There’s still no news. She send him a kiss and one for her dad. The search party will continue the next morning. Juli goes to see about supper. Whor take Vale to the bedroom.

El Nidito de Desamor - This will be Max and Amaya’s last night together. He sleeps. She bends over him and sadly admits she’s sorry she lied, but it’s better he thinks he doesn’t remember what happened. She gives him some longing looks. In the morning, Max is awake, reflecting on their prior night’s conversation. Amaya wakes and wants to check him for fever. He deflects her hand and declines. She asks if he’s mad at her. No. Not mad. But if what he thought happened the other night didn’t happen, they have to face reality. Reality is she is his brother’s wife and that will separate them forever. Amaya looks crushed. (Honey, you asked for it to be this way. Now play your part and get on with this telenovela, por favor.) This time he lets her struggle to her feet by herself. She’s very aware of the distance now.

Thu Mar 5 - Pt 2

Morning in the Countryside - The search party is out, leaving no stone unturned, no creek unforded, no trails missed, no trees unchecked. The police chief wants to give up. Mauro wants every centimeter checked.

El Paraiso - Someone has arranged for an outdoor mass for the safe return of Max and Amaya. Once it’s over, Eloisa, Juli and Caro are left to talk as they observe how tender and affectionate Whor is with Vale. Juli says it shows what a good father he is. Caro contradicts her assessment. She’s known Whor for many years. He’s not what he seems and he doesn’t fool her anymore.

Clinic in Comitán - Mariana wakes up with a nurse bending over her. She finds out it was probably Uli brought her in. She freaks out and wants to leave. She begs the nurse to help her get away from the man who brought her in. Uli comes to her bedside, all concerned and familiar with her. The nurse leaves. Mari just wanted to die. Uli says he couldn’t let that happen. He’s arranging for her to be discharged asap. He’s taking her back to El Deseo and if she doesn’t behave, he’s going to tie her up. He leans over to kiss her, but apparently she spits at him because he wipes his mouth when he stands back up. He leaves her alone.

Somewhere in Comitán - Aaron/Negro calls Cesar, who is out with the search party. He’s ready to go back to Mexico City. They’ve planted the plague-ridden coffee plants near Uli’s healthy ones. Cesar tells him to stay put. He might still need Negro. His wife, Amaya has disappeared somewhere in Chiapas.

Jailhouse - Manuel is visiting Chino. He makes Chino an offer. Chino pretends to reject it, but the money smells too sweet. He accepts. Manny tells Geno and Geno tells José he’ll be out soon. José and Manuel have another little spat over Manny’s ability to solve everything with money (Come on, you little prick. If it weren’t for Manny and his money, you’d be serving hard time with a big ugly scar on your face. You should thank him, especially since he’s doing something illegal—suborning a witness.) What José does say is he’ll be free due to Manuel’s great fortune, but it’s a long way from being a good father. (Ouch.)

Montesinos Mansion - Over breakfast in the morning, Consta is still going over in her mind where Amaya and Max could be and what they might be doing. Luce dismisses her preoccupation. Amaya isn’t worth it. She receives a cell phone call, which is in the purse the maid runs in with. Luce digs the phone out and steps away to take the call. She does *not* carefully place it on the chair. It falls over, spilling contents. Consta goes over to pick up the stuff and finds the receipt with Amaya’s name on it for a DNA test. It doesn’t say who the two parties are. Nora gives Consta the high sign, but Luce returns just in time to see Consta fiddling with her purse. She goes ballistic and jumps to the wrong (right) conclusion. She gets highly piffed and grabs her purse and heads up the stairs of doom (which haven’t been used yet).

Consta thinks she’s a bit neurotic getting so dramatic over a little thing like this. Nora wonders if Amaya is pregnant and wants to know who her baby’s daddy is. Consta asks her to spare the thought—what could be worse than both babies being Max’s.

Luce is putting papers back in probably Cesar’s bedroom. She says to herself that she knows Consta saw and read the paper about the DNA test, but it only had Amaya’s name on it. She flashes back to the phone call that interrupted her breakfast. It was her co-conspirator Reyes calling from Way Way Up Norte. He needs more money. He can’t get work. She ruined his life. He could be living happily in Mexico if it hadn’t been for her scheme. Luce says she didn’t force him to. Anyway, reluctantly, she will send him another princely sum, but that’s it, so he should stop trying to blackmail her. She hangs up on him.

Thu Mar 5 - Pt 3

Lost and Found in the Woods - Cesar rushes up to Amaya and covers her with kisses, which she can’t avoid, but obviously is not responding to. Mauro hugs Max almost to death. Cesar is sniffing all over Amaya. They all want to know what happened. Amaya gives them the official G-rated version, which included the storm and the snake. Max admits he doesn’t remember anything after the snake bite (as he and Amaya share a knowing look). He tells Mauro and Cesar Amaya saved his life. Cesar slimes all over Amaya and says he’s never going to let her out of his sight again. He’s never going to suffer this anguish ever again.

WUN Finca La Tormenta - Becca is beside herself because Ivan won’t wake up. The curandera tells her to be patient. Becca tells Cecy if he doesn’t come to soon, she’s taking him to the hospital. She and Cecy get to arguing over Ivan’s care and the curandera finally throws them both out. They continue outside. Cecy isn’t going to let him die. She loves him. She lost him once, she isn’t going to lose him again. Becca tells her to stop being so selfish. She’s risking her son’s life for her own self. That is not love. Cecy retorts she knows what she’s doing and flounces away.

Clinic in Comitán - Mariana is desperate to get out of the clinic. She gets out of bed and falls. She realizes she’s too weak and cries as she gets back into bed.

Out at the nurses station, dark-haired nurse (DHN) and blonde-haired nurse (BHN) debate over Mari’s sanity. DHN wants to believe her, but if that guy was really holding her against her will, he would have brought her in and sat there so nonchalantly. BHN tells her not to get involved, she seems a bit loca. Uli approaches DHN about getting Mariana discharged. He’s told the doctor must see her first. Uli doesn’t know Mariana’s last name. He tells the nurse she works for him. Her parents left her in his charge and he needs to get her back before they return. He admits to her that Mariana hasn’t been herself since her novio left her for someone else. Now she’s living in a fantasy. After he leaves, DHN tells BHN that she thinks one of them is lying and she wants to know which one. She feels sorry for Mari. She said her father placed her as a bet in a card game and this guy won her. After telling DHN not to get involved, BHN immediately gets involved by accepting a bribe from Uli to fix it so he can take Mariana out without anyone seeing them.

El Paraiso - Jorge calls Juli to tell her Max and Amaya have been found. Mauro has gone with them to the police station to give their statements. Vale knows everything. Juli tells him both Caro and Whor are there. Jorge tells her Mauro wants a medic to check Max and Amaya out before they return. Juli signs off with a “mi amor.” Jorge tells her he likes the sound of that. Juli runs in with the good news. Everyone is relieved and happy for the rescue, except for Whoracio. (It’s hard to say whether he was unhappy one or both of them weren’t dead or injured, or they were found so soon after he’d arrived and Juli’s “mi amor” would be returning sooner than he wished.) Amaya finally has a chance to call Vale to talk to her in person. Vale is overjoyed. She tells Amaya how much she loves her.

Montesinos Mansion - Mauro calls Luce to tell her everybody is Ok. He hands the phone to Max to talk to his mother. Max doesn’t look overjoyed. When Luce comes in to tell Consta, Consta gets pithed Max didn’t ask to talk to her. She wants to call him right back, but Luce grabs her phone. She thinks it silly for her to call Max and have him tell her the same thing or to run Mauro’s battery down. She turns to leave, but puts Consta’s phone down just before she exits the room.

As soon as she leaves, Consta tells Nora she wants to get in touch with Max right away. She doesn’t want to let this opportunity go by. She wants to be more than just the mother of his child.

Thu Mar 5 - Pt 4

WUN Finca La Tormenta - Becca is still not sure Ivan is going to recover. When the curandera leaves the room she gets the phone number for El Paraiso and calls. She gets Chelo, who tells her Hector Fonseca won’t be back until evening. She wants to know who is calling and is there a message. Becca says she has something very important to tell him about his son, Ivan. Cecy enters behind her and sees and hears what she is doing. She walks over to the phone base and removes the cord.

Clinic in Comitán - DHN is in with Mariana. Mariana is pleading with her to help her get away. DHN tells Mari her story is very peculiar. She asks her what her name is. Mariana thinks DHN thinks she’s crazy. Mari can’t convince her.

Out at the nurses station, Uli has completed his deal with BHN. She gives him a signed discharge paper, which DHN had been holding back (I think she was still trying to believe Mari’s side of the story.) He gives her clothes to put on Mariana. BHN says she’ll take care of it after DHN leaves the patient’s room and she gives another patient medication. She’ll get Mariana dressed. Just then Effer runs up to him to tell him that Don Mauro and Cesar have just arrived and the lady who is Mariana’s sister is being brought in. Freeze frame on Uli’s face

Shoot. I thought this ended up being a little short.

I left out a couple of inconsequential scenes, but this one may be important later:

Flavia is trying to cheer up Vale in her bedroom. Nothing works. Elo is with them. She pulls Vale up in bed and they lie close together. Flavia asks Vale to talk about what they did by the river.

Vale tells her about running into Cip carrying sacks (costales) with coffee plants that looked horrible. Elo wondered what he was doing there. Flavia looks as though she has an aha! moment, but there are no dots to connect, yet.

I'm a bit puzzled by Cipriano's appearing where the children were playing. Where was Negro, anyway. Are they on El P. property or on El D. property. I didn't think the lands were that close. I recall Flavia driving home drunk the night she had her accident. And Uli driving Mari home a couple of times. Well, maybe it's just something we'd best ignore.

Fantastic, Anita! I haven't watched the whole episode yet, so I'll comment more later.

As for where Cip was going with the bag of infected trees-- he was going to a bodega where he and Negro met before they headed to Uli's lands that night. I don't believe the bodega is on Uli's lands, so it must be somewhere closer to El Paraiso.

Thank you, Anita! Love your spunk in this, girl: calling Jose a little prick! That felt good, thanks! Also like your telling Amaya to snap out of her melancholy over having to lie to Max and telling Max to "check where it counts"! Snappy, thorough and fun recap!

So. There's our answer to what Amaya would say to Max's questions! As I said before, I hope he keeps it as a little secret between them or within himself to recall in private moments. If Cesar finds out, they are goners. Well, according to Cesar's thought-bubble before the accident, Max is already a goner and as soon as Amaya signs over the ZE or names him in her will(?), she's a goner, too!

Please! Please let Mauro and Co. see Mariana! This has gone on long enough! Let Uli do some other dastardly deed or kill him off early! I hope to goodness they don't drag this torture of Mari and coma and imprisonment of Ivan through the rest of the show.

Anita, thank you again for this absolutely splendid retelling of today's exciting episode!

So I probably shouldn't bring this up, but isn't our heroine now a bit of a rapist?

On the plus side, just about every novela has a rape, and maybe this one counts, thus saving Mariana from Uli. I forgive Amaya if it saves Mariana.

Kelly

Kelly--I'm pretty sure I remember Max asking Amaya to make love with him. Though he seemed out of it during their passionate scene, he did recall it the next day. She's only guilty of trying to convince him it didn't happen.

I do go along with you and hope there won't be any rapes. Being in danger of rape is all I need to keep my pressure elevated. (Note to self--it's just a tn, it's just a tn.)

Vivi--You are right. Now I remember. The infected trees were all inside Cip's secret bodega, before he and Negro set out to plant them. They planted them during your recap! He must have been on his way back to his bodega with leftover coffee plants, when he ran into Vale. And we don't know where his bodega was.

About Becca's call to El P. I sure hope Chelo gives Hector the message next day. But, will Hector call La T? If he does, Cecy will probably tell him they are on their honeymoon and she doesn't know what he's talking about or Hector won't call because he knows Ivan and Mari are on their honeymoon. Argh!

Thanks for your splendid and snappy recap, Anita! I haven't gotten to see the episode yet. I will be catching up this weekend.

I am with Lila hoping that the Uli/Mari/Ivan storyline does not get stretched much longer.

Soo... Am I the only one who is sort of ok with the plan to infest Uli's plants. I'm going to hell.

Oh! Consta worrying about two Max babies.... Will that come to pass? Amaya and Max have actually done the deed again..

Sara- Infecting Uli's plants is the only Cesar plot I support. Oh and anything he does to bring Whor down. I just don't want the plague to affect El Paraiso too.

That's my only concern. Cip is kind of a dip and I'm worried that he has been entrusted with this mission. I will probably screw up.

I also hope it doesn't somehow bite Max, Jorge or Flavia in the butt.

I meant "he will screw up."

It's understood that I will screw up.

No, Sara, thou shalt be forgiven for wishing the plague upon the plants of an evil doer. I am with thee in thy wish!

The bastard!

Man, if Amaya ends up pregnant and Cesar knows it absolutely cannot be his. . .oh, that makes my stomach churn just thinking about it. She might be able to finagle the math a little bit. Before the love shack adventure she and Max slept together the night before she broke up with him. The Vegas trip was days later and then she came back married to Cesar.

Ay! Ay! Ay! What a tangled web. . .even when it's in the cause of justice!

Aw hell. I can't think my way out of a paper bag. I got as far as "Amaya could get pregnant." I didn't take the next logical step which is "Max doesn't think they did the deed."

Damn.

A pregnancy would be a BIG problem!

Oh. On another note. Maybe if that hospital had been in DF they would have required an assessment by a Social Worker or Psychologist because Mariana's case had a big flag over it redder than her blood! A woman brought in in a wedding dress with cut wrists, one of them badly bruised, obvious signs of distress and the person bringing her in doesn't even know her last name or anything about her! Come on! Even in that little "clinic" alarms should have gone off. The response of the nurses was beyond disappointing, it was maddening! And then that one essentially sold her for a few bills back into slavery! Disgusting!

Weighing in on a beautiful sunny, cold, snow-laden day.

Plague infested coffee plants which Uli will have to destroy is the very least of punishments that can be meted out to Uli. Somehow I don't think this will be a Cip screw up because Aaron was there helping--and they didn't have to fight off any security guards.

Uli knows little or nothing about coffee culture and he said so at the beginning, although he alluded to being a quick learner. I hope he and Effer are too busy with Mariana to check their coffee plants for a few days. (But, please, Mariana needs to be freed.)

Lila--I had been thinking the same thing about Mariana and her attempted suicide. Taping up her wrists and putting her on an IV doesn't seem like a modern day treatment even in a place like Comitan. (It's a fair-sized city, pop. 140,000+.) We should have expected the doctor to put her on some kind of suicide watch at the very least and yes, brought in someone to talk to her. They could still have woven that into the story to make it more realistic.

If Amaya is truly pregnant and Cesar knows it's not his baby, he's on the horns of a dilemma. If he rejects the baby as not being his, he loses face with everyone--something he cannot abide. He would do better to accept it (as has been done in other novelas). I hadn't thought of Amaya fiddling with the dates.

In her last sonogram, Consta and the doctor agreed she was about 7 weeks pregnant. Amaya would have to be about 8 weeks. Unless she is one of those exceptions to the rule, her periods would have ceased. She would have told Caro by now. We mustn't discount completely the two times Amaya threw up, though. Once after Luce's boardroom visit and the other time after the run-in with Cip at Dolores' funeral service.

If she is going to get pregnant with Max's baby, it is much more likely it will be from their love shack roll in the hay.

Sorry, about the baby-dating. Max and Amaya made love for the first time AFTER the Consta coupling. So Amaya would be less than 7 weeks pregnant.

Time is sure moving slowly in this novela, for all that has happened.

Good afternoon, Anita! Sheesh! I almost called you Amaya!

Here's something I had not thought of:

If Amaya is truly pregnant and Cesar knows it's not his baby, he's on the horns of a dilemma. If he rejects the baby as not being his, he loses face with everyone--something he cannot abide.

Yep, he would have to accept it and then he would be more furious and resolved to kill them both!

Lila--As long as it couldn't be traced back to him, no?
(I'd rather be Camila in AB, can you tell.....? But thank you for the compliment.)

How's Flavia The Snob doing these days?

Steve--Flavia is fine. She was featured yesterday. Why are you still calling her The Snob? Do you know something we don't know?

Has anyone had any luck finding the theme song on iTunes or Amazon music?

I found and bought it on iTunes yesterday. "Te Prometi" by Mijares.

Lol. I'm on the QA thread. I was talking about that theme. :)

oops! I do that ALL the time, sorry!

No worries!

I looked for QA, all I found was this web link. Don't blame you if you don't want to click on it: these things can be infected some times. Have NOT found it on Amazon or iTunes. Who ever does, speak up -- on the right board! ;p

http://notinovelas.com/canciones-soundtrack-de-la-telenovela-quiero-amarte/

Thanks, Lila! I really like the music, but it's hard to find. I've found some songs and not others.

Anita - I'm glad you said that about Max not looking too glad to speak to his mother, it was a funny moment.

I'm sure Max knows what happened between him and Amaya was real and nobody will convince him it wasn't.
If only Max remembering what she said and did was Amaya's biggest problem right now.

Fri, cap. 117, part 1
This will be more summary than detail in order to give us time to mentally KILL ULISES. DIE, CERDO! DIE!

Hospital
Ulises henchman notes that Amaya, et al, are coming in to the hospital. Uli thinks that if they’re coming for Mariana, they have to fight him. After he leaves the counter, Mauro comes in to check in Amaya, while Cesar gets all pushy with the nurse, because that always works.

Uli threatens Mariana with hurting Amaya and Valeria if she doesn’t go along with this. But Mari knows he can’t do anything to Amaya. But why? Why her? Because she’s beautiful and difficult. For that, she’s worth taking the risk.

WUN
Ceci berates Beca about calling Hector. Beca just wants her son to get help, and she doesn’t care what Ceci loses. Beca would rather lose him (as a son) than have him die. She doesn’t want to go along with Ceci’s plans anymore. She did that, and look what happened! Ceci tells her to leave. You’re kicking me out?, asks Beca. No. Ceci is “asking” her to leave. She was her mother’s cousin and had nowhere to go, and that’s why she was allowed to stay. But no more. She’s the duena, and what she says goes. Beca’s had enough. She yells at Ceci, and she’s not leaving unless Ceci makes her. She blames Ceci for bringing Ulises into this. In the end, she accepts Ceci’s authority for now, but she swears, while ominously holding her cane, that if Ivan gets worse, nothing but nothing will stop her from taking him to the hospital.

El Paraiso
Dona Chelo, with the girls, talk about the mystery call from “the woman” who called and hung up. Hortensia asks what she sounded like, young or old? Young, like me, says Chelo. More chatting.

Hospital
Jorge talks to Hector and Heriberto. They are sorry they missed Ivan’s wedding and hope the two kids are happy. They’re being eavesdropped on by Uli’s guy whose name I don’t care about because he should suffer too.

The doc sees to Max, and tells him he’s lucky to be alive. Max mentions the fever dream to Mauro. Doc then see Amaya in another room, and tells her
nothing is broken (!). It’ll just take a couple hours to get the paperwork to let her leave. She thinks that Cesar can never know what happened between her and Max, thus guaranteeing that she’ s pregnant. Mariana, I think, doesn’t want to risk Amaya and Vale, and she cries. The henchman tells Uli that the El P crowd isn’t there for Mariana.

MM
Manuel talks to Constanza and tells her he’s happy Max is ok. He asks again for her forgiveness, he misses her. She misses him too, and he asks her to come back to the house. He knows she’s not comfortable there. He’ll watch over her, and the girls at the house will treat her like a queen.

Prison
Doc checks on Jose, who complains about everything still hurting and he can’t walk and…The docs lets him stay another night since his court thing is the next day. He thinks he needs to leave this place, and I think something about getting treated the way he should. Because all that private school and a loving mother wasn’t enough to turn him into a decent human being.

MM
Connie asks about Jose. Manuel tells her about the attack, and that he’ll be getting out soon because Manuel can’t have him in there. He admits to the bribe. Connie can’t believe he’d pay for Jose after what he did. He should own up to what he did, which is how Manuel taught Connie. Manuel tells Connie that she’ll understand when she becomes a mother what she’d do for her child. (Like never acknowledge it or its mother publically). He says something about her seeing the world through rose-colored glasses, or some such thing. (He’s right about this, but isn’t that his fault too?)

El P
Juli and Caro talk like grown ups about the tension between them. Caro admits that it hurts seeing Jorge, but she won’t get in the way. Caro asks about Horacio. Que? Juli thinks she’s been very clear that there is nothing between them. Hor is eavesdropping and makes a fist in annoyance at this. Caro tells Juli that Jorge is a MUCH better man. She’s know Whor a long time, and he’s not a good person. Now Whor is really mad. Juli thinks he is from what she’s seen, but no matter. She’s with Jorge.

Sal calls Flavia about getting stood up. OMG! She totally forgot! She was at the finca with the kids, and she fills him in about the accident. They’ll see each other the next day. Elo sneaks up on Flav and hears the date plans. Elo asks about the date plans. Flavia is thinking of the possibilities. Elo thinks that’s great, but Sal really isn’t for her. No worries, Flav knows what she’s doing. (Ha!) Elo warns her about not confusing being in love with being in love with having someone around. Flav tires of the conversation and goes to play with the kids.

Whor grabs Caro’s arm when she’s alone and berates her about the things she said to Juliana. Caro isn’t too impressed by his threats.

Hospital-
Cesar goes to see Max, asks how he’s doing, and then accuses him of planning this situation. Max calls him loco. Cesar doesn’t believe him, and Max laughs, asking if Cesar thinks he planned the accident. Don’t worry, bro, I won’t take Amaya from you the way you took her from me.

Uli wants the Blond nurse (although I have another B-word I’m thinking for her) to give Mari a sedative to get her out. The nurse isn’t authorized to do that without a doctor, not until Uli offers to pay her more that is. She agrees to help, and gives Mariana a shot, telling her it’s an antibiotic. Uli kisses her. Blech.

El P/WUN-
Chelo talks to Hector about hoping Ivan and Mari are happy (sob), and then tells him about the call. It was something about Ivan, but she hung up before saying what it was. Hector has been worried about Ivan and interrupts his honeymoon to call Ivan’s cell. He has to leave a message. Chelo recommends calling Ceci. Good idea! Beca answers the WUN phone and is too shocked to say anything. Ceci enters and takes the phone from her. She tells Hector that she hasn’t seen them since they left for their honeymoon. He asks to have Ivan call him as soon as he gets home. After hanging up, Ceci calls Beca a coward for not being able to say anything, and that she’s changing the number as soon as possible. Beca later holds Ivan’s hand and talks to him.

Hospital-
Jorge returns with clothes and give Amaya’s to Cesar. Then Uli enters the waiting room and Cesar gets in a punch! He’s good for something at least. But they get broken up. Mauro gets in the middle to tell them to knock it off because this is a hospital. Uli threatens to file charges and Cesar threatens back about the coffee fraud. Then a doctor tells them all to shut it. Still a hospital.

B-nurse has Mariana in a wheelchair and covers her face with her hair.

Cesar tells Amaya bout Uli being there. Why was he there? Cesar doesn’t care, but she needs to get ready so they can leave already.

El P-
Heriberto runs into Flavia to tell her something. There’s a flirty vibe here, but I’m not sure Flav is into it. Or she’s just a little down still about her love life.

Max and Amaya get back. Greetings all around. Max says he’s alive thanks to Amaya saving him from the explosion, the viper. Cesar puts his arms about Amaya and Vale and pulls them close. Neither girl looks comfortable with this. Cesar lets Flav know he saw Uli there. Maybe this info will be useful later? Mauro gives a “beinvenidos a todos” to all the family and strangers now in his house.

El D-
Mariana wakes up back in Uli’s house. She doesn’t want to see him. He tells her he allowed Amaya to live since she came with him, taking credit for the accident, and warns Mari that next time, Amaya might not be so lucky. DIE DIE DIE.

El P-
Max calls Connie to tell her he’ll be back the next day. She was worried for him and for their baby. She’s happy all three of them will be back together, like a family. Max rolls his eyes to the ceiling, but doesn’t shut her down. After he hangs up, he tells Jorge that he’s sure something happened. He’s sure the sex wasn’t a dream no matter what Amaya says. Jorge just wants him to get her out of his mind. She’s with Cesar and he needs to move on. He doesn’t look so sure.

Kelly

Thanks so much, Kelly! I still haven't seen the episode, but it sure sounds like a frustrating one.

César was an idiot to punch Uli. I hope no figures out Uli's crop was purposely infested with plague and that it doesn't get traced back to El P.

I want both Uli and Ceci to die.

Kelly--Thank you, mucho. Great "summary."

I'm thinking, I'm thinking. How to make them die...
Uli catches the coffee plague and there is no cure? He shrivels up and dies? Ceci, maybe not die, but must turn over La Tormenta to Ivan (because Becca is the real patrona?) and has to watch him and Mariana happy for the rest of their lives, having lots of kids (meaning lots of sex, too), while she scrubs toilets, swabs the tile floors, dusts the knick-knacks and cooks and washes dishes--and takes out the trash.

Loved all these picturesque phrases of yours:
Cesar gets all pushy with the nurse, because that always works.

...but she swears, while ominously holding her cane,...

...Cesar can never know what happened between her and Max, thus guaranteeing that she’s pregnant.

Didn't you just love it - NOT --but it *was* funny. When Vale was between Amaya and Cesar, he jerked her out of the way so he could be the one closest to Amaya and everyone in the room could see them as a couple?

At first I didn't get what Uli was telling Mari about taking credit for Amaya's accident. I was trying to think how he could. It finally dawned on me. It was brilliant strategy to keep her submissive and docile--the slimy lizard-lout.

Thank you, Kelly! This WAS a frustrating episode! UUUUUuuufFFF! Gosh! I was nearly sick by the time it was over and had to FF>> through the scene of Uli with Mari! Goldernit! They need to stop the madness with this storyline right now! I can hardly stand it!

Please don't let him rape her or just as bad, don't let her "submit" thinking she has to to keep Amaya and Vale alive! Which would STILL be rape!

And poor Ivan was having seizures while Ceci is chewing out Becca about meddling! And the bold face lie she told to Hector! No. She needs something WAY beyond cleaning toilets! I can't think of anytyhing just now but she needs to suffer, and suffer badly!

I'm watching the episode now. I loved how Mauro psyched out Juli when she told him she was with Jorge.

About Ivan and Mari- they were married in the church. Does this producer follow normal TN operating procedures? I would hope that would keep her safe from rape.

Unfortunately it could also mean one of them dies.

OR

They live happily ever after. (Which is what I'm hoping for.)

Nooo
this is so frustrating
lots of good stuff happened in this episode but all I can think about is how close Amaya was to Mariana and how she didn't see her and rescue her.
and Uli taking credit for the accident - whatever dude -
I hope Mariana doesn't take him seriously

Sara, I'm mightly afraid that the more shocking they get with the brutality and shattering sexual taboos, the more so they will get. It's a shame. It starting to sound like "the news", a term I hate for the daily recounting of the havoc and mayhem humanity wreaks on one another around the corner and around the world. These things are supposed to be an escape! When the shock factor and disturbing story lines like Mariana's are so prominent, it really drains the joy out of Juliana and Jorge's romance and Max and Amaya's brief, joyous[ly delirious] interlude.

Oh well. I tried to lighten things up with a link to Prince's Delirious but he must have some heavy protections on his stuff. I couldn't find anything!

Later

sneakytwoshoes--
Yesssss, it is frustrating.

Unfortunately for her (and us), Mariana is a trusting, loving soul and she's going to believe Uli. Until, that is, she can find out on her own he's lying. That's not to say she's not resourceful, as shown by her earlier escape and joining Ivan at La Tormenta.

The only detail I didn't think was correct was the nurse taking an sedative given by injection out of a cabinet IN the patient's room. Medicines like that are carefully monitored and have to be requested, probably by a doctor, and issued from some sort of manned dispensary.

OK. Sorry. I want this tn to continue being realistic--part of its appeal.

Well, not as realistic as Lila is describing. I mean realistic with the details--going back as far as Luce's poisoning of Omar. We were never really able to zero in on what bio-chemical she used.

I apologize is this is off topic.

I need a refresher on TN timing. This week we will see eps 118-122. There are about 161 episodes. So we're talking about 8 more weeks right? Am I the only one thing Amaya better get a move on? Especially since the DNA test has been tampered with.

And totally apropos of nothing - I miss Amaya's longer hair.

Oh Lord, Sara! There's so much more nail-biting mayhem that can go down!

Aaaaagggghhh!

I know! 8 weeks feels like too much time and not enough time all at the same time!

Sara--Thanks for the math lesson. Yes, Amaya had better get a move on if she's pregnant, no? We want to see those babies without a 7 year jump.

I can't see Mariana being held for all the 8 more weeks, nor Ivan believing anything Cecy says. But there is time for Whoracio to separate Juli from Jorge and to hurt Caro. Uli needs to be completely destroyed--but that only needs an episode or two.

Maybe they'll waste some time on the law suit and counter-suit while Amaya works behind the scenes. No, I want to see Amaya go step by step unmasking Lucrecia, so yes, she'd better get a move on!

I'm also hoping for a quick (and happy) resolution to the Mari/Ivan/Uli/Cecy story.

Amaya might not be pregnant, but I can't think of any other reason for the accident and subsequent love making.

And gosh, don't we still have to have Whor exposed as stealing that money?

Yes, we do, Sara.

Hey, Anita! For the header, how about we enumerate the shoes that have yet to drop. Sara just mentioned one:

1. Whor's theft of Amaya's money.
2 Of Course, Lu's exposure as the murderer of Amaya's Parents and Godmother.
3. Lu's creating and prolonging Mauro's depression.
4. Lu and Cesar trying to create depression in Juliana.
5. Lu's murder of Omar.
6. Exposure of Lu as blowing up Amaya's car in an attempt to kill her and Vale.

What am I missing?

7. Oh, yes! Lu's framing and murder of Emma!

I have tomorrow's header all ready to go. I hope everyone likes it. I'll post it around noonish, but will give you the high sign here.

Thank you, Sara and Lila, I'll do the shoe-dropping one next week, for sure. Lu certainly has the highest number of single shoe-droppings in this tn. Wonder where she keeps the other shoe. Of course, she will never run out of shoes.

Hey, amigas--
The biggest shoe of all: Cesar is NOT Mauro's son.

YES!! Forgot that one! Great! Okay, Anita. Will see you guys on the new header! Thank you!

Oh yeah! That is a big shoe!

I just finished Thurs episode and in the middle of Friday's. A few things. Why is Max telling Mauro that he thinks he and Amaya made love? First, TMI with your dad. Second, his big mouth is one of the reasons Amaya is holding back the truth from him.

Cesar touching and kissing Amaya all the time makes my skin crawl and gives me the creeps.

What is Connie talking about saying Manuel is different than the way he raised her. Please. He spoiled her and gave into her whims, and he'll do the same fir Jose. If she had ever stupidly landed in jail, he would have paid people off to get her out too.

Ok. Blonde Nurse has officially passed me off and I hope she goes to jail for aiding and abetting a kidnapping. Because when someone is paying you under the table, asking you to sedate someone, and asking to be let out a back door, then you KNOW it's a kidnapping at that point.

Pissed not passed, Tablet!

Hey, Max, the most important part of what may or may not have happened between you and Amaya in the love shack is not that you made love (and quit telling people about it!), but that Amaya told you the reason she married Cesar was to bring about justice! What's with the selective memory?

Why is Max telling Mauro that he thinks he and Amaya made love? First, TMI with your dad. Second, his big mouth is one of the reasons Amaya is holding back the truth from him. Yes, Vivi! This gets rid of the last shred of pity I have for Max. I still love him but he DOES have a BIG MOUTH and NO FILTER!! Sheesh! Yes, this is exactly why Amaya had to do what she did! He's going to mess around, say it again and Cesar will hear through the novela standard: the open door!

Vivi, you are cracking me up but you speak truth!

I meant to say not only could Cesar overhear but if he does it is certain death for him AND Amaya!

Lila- Yep. Every time he said it, I was worried that Cesar was lurking around the corner. Shut up, Max!

Kelly- Thank you so much for the wonderful recap of a frustrating episode.

I'm glad that Max told everyone how Amaya saved his life. Now, that's a good use of his big mouth. Perhaps the Amaya hate levels will go down a bit in Montesinos Manor now.

Yes, Vivi, I was thinking the same thing. Amaya saved Max's life twice in one day!

Floridia, if you're lurking, take a bow. You NAILED that prediction!

Week 25 is posted. See you all over there.
