Casa de Chava

Chava  finds Aracely knitting away and confronts her, “I want the truth!  Who’s the daddy?  Me or Pedro?”  Aracely doesn’t know what Pedro may have told him but she assures Chava that he’s the baby-daddy!  She would never lie when it comes to “their” child!  She admits she took advantage that night, but this baby she’s carrying is the result of that marvelous night they had together.  Chava knows she was with Pedro shortly before that night.  Aracely can’t even look him in the eye when she admits sleeping with Pedro,  “It was a big mistake on my part since I knew it’s you who I truly love.  I know my cycle and know when I conceived.  I have no doubt you’re the father of this baby.”  Chava apologizes for being such a cad but this does involve knowing whether or not that child is his or someone else’s!  He can’t trust her assumption the baby is his. He insists on a doctor’s opinion.  Aracely brings on the waterworks, “Please believe me, this is your child!” waaaaaah.   Chava insists, “For the good of everyone involved, we have to be sure about the baby-daddy!  I can’t see myself living a lie my entire life that will eventually eat away (carcomer) at my soul!”

Casa Ripoll

Isadora tries to talk some sense into Sofia and warns her against marrying Geronimo.  She knows the type of man he is.  After all, she did live with him.  At first he’s a real sweetheart, but little by little his true character comes out and ends up destroying anyone near him.  Grrrreta understands Isadora’s divorce from Gerry wasn’t amicable but that doesn’t mean Sofia will suffer the same outcome.  Fausto overhears as Isadora pleads with them to understand that Geronimo doesn’t know how to love!  He buys people off only to use them.  Isadora knows because that’s what he did to her.  He dumped her when the newness of their relationship wore off.  She warns Sofia her life will be ruined if she marries him.  So-stupid-fia insists Gerry has shown nothing but kindness and support to her family beginning with the loan for the company and then in getting the ransom money together for her sister.  Isador has to explain that’s what she means by “buying off” people.  He does this type of thing all the time to win over people.  This is his strategy to get what he wants.  Greta tells Isadora to chillax and assumes she’s saying this because Isadora is still interested in Geronimo.  Isadora insists this is not personal.  She’s the one who stopped loving him shortly after their marriage.  She pleads Sofia to reconsider or she’ll ruin her life!  All this anguish causes Isadora to be overcome by the vapors.  She apologizes and makes her exit, clutching her chest.  Greta and Sofia are dumbfounded!  Greta apologizes to Sofia.  She just doesn’t understand what could have come over Isadora.  Greta wonders if maybe it is jealousy even though Isadora denies it.  She felt it was her duty to tell Isadora about Sofia’s engagement to Geronimo.  Greta leaves to see about dinner and Fausto seizes the opportunity to speak to Sofia alone so they can discuss Isadora’s rantings.  Sofia figures there may still be some feelings lingering from Isadora’s marriage to Geronimo.  Fausto doesn’t agree.  He heard Isadora and listened carefully to what she had to say.  He’s really worried for Sofia.  Fausto’s the only voice of reason in this house.  He isn’t a fan of marriage without love but to have such a warning!  He thinks Sofia should take it seriously. 

Empresa Ripoll

Matias begs Irais for forgiveness but Irais is hurt because he never noticed her until her sister Ho-beth dumped him.  He’s changed his mind after her kisses.  Silliness ensues and they end up on the couch, ignoring Noemi’s interruption, who is sure to spread the gossip all over the company.  Very silly. 

Hamburguezas Snoozeria

Dani and Nandito try to convince Lucas to perform a solo act at Cuco’s.  Nandito tells them the gossip about going to live with his dad and dad’s main squeeze. 

Doctor’s Office

Aracely and Chava sit before the doctor who tells them a DNA test before birth is possible but poses a risk to both the baby and the mother.  Doctor eventually says that an echocardiogram can ultimately determine the exact gestation period.  Aracely is frustrated and asks Chava to trust her on this, this is his son.  Well, Chava’s very sorry but this is the only way he’d feel satisfied.  He asks the doctor for more info on the echo-whatsis.  Doc says it can be performed immediately and she’d have the results faster than you can type “echocardiogram”!  Aracely is stunned and Chava is….hopeful.  Once they’re alone, Aracely continues to insist this is his baby and besides, he can’t force her to have that eco-whatsis!  Chava agress but tells her she’s hurting a lot of people.  “You owe the truth about the baby’s father to Pedro, Sofia, me, and above all, your child. I wait for you to do the right thing.” 

On Location

Alexa is busy getting her drunk on with Paolo.  They’ve already downed two bottles and she wants a third.  Paolo thinks a strong coffee would be best now.  Alexa keeps drinking and Paolo insists she stop.  Alexa then does the ugly drunk cry, talking about how much she loves Armando and tries to call him but Paolo stops her.  It wouldn’t be right for Armando to hear her like this.  She gets up and lands on his lap, passed out.  He carries her to the bed and lovingly watches over her as she drools sleeps.

Armando arrives just in time to see Paolo leaving Alexa’s room and demands to know what he was doing there!  Paolo tells him it’s not what it looks like but the green monster has got hold of Armando.  “Here I was thinking I was ruining everything because of my jealousy and Alexa was asking that I not doubt her because it was just her job!  ALL LIES!!”  Paolos tries unsuccessfully to tell Armando that he and Alexa are just co-workers, nothing else.  But Gorillarmando is on a roll, “Yeah sure, and I suck my thumb!  What’s happening here is that you’re not man enough to accept that you’re after her!”  Paolo again denies it but is rewarded with Gorillarmando grabbing him by the collar, “You have the nerve to deny it to my face!”  Paolo shoves him off, “You’re an animal!  A macho filled with jealousy! I have no reason to lie.”  Gorrillarmando tells Paolo to stop yammerin’ and act like a man.  Armando is in a boxer’s stance and Paolo takes a swing at him, which Armando deftly avoids.  Armando takes a swing and his punch lands Paolo on the floor.  Unfortunately for Armando, there is a witness – a woman who quickly walks away when she sees the altercation.

Pedro comes looking for Chava and Lupe tells him they’ve gone to see the Doc. 

The envelope please…..

We’re back at the Doctor’s office and Chava has the envelope with the results in his hands.  This envelope represents the exact information about the gestational age of the baby.  Aracely pleads with him to trust her and not open the envelope.  Chava proceeds to open it and……drumroll…….darn it! Credits roll!  aaaaaagh

“The baby is NOT your child!”  So says the envelope he wastes no time pointing it out to Aracely who snatches the envelope from his hands saying there must be an error!  She wants a do over but the doctor assures her the results will be the same no matter how many times the test is completed.  Chava sneers at her and says the jig is up!  Aracely insists on a do over.  The doctor tells her she’s welcome to get a second opinion, but the results will be the same.  Chava’s done and suggests he and Aracely take it outside.  Chava tells a crying Aracely there are many truths here, “First and foremost, there is a baby on the way and that is a blessing.  The other is that I am NOT the father, even though I was looking forward to it and everything.  Lastly, you tried to tie me down with the lie that I am the father.  I was really excited about being a father.  Not just me.  My mother was excited about being a grandmother and Marisol was already enjoying the thought of a nephew.  Do you realize you’ve ruined the dreams of so many people?”  Aracely cries, “You have to believe that this was not my intention even though it doesn’t look that way.  You have to understand that I love you and when I found out I was expecting, I hoped with all my heart that it was yours. *sob* Please don’t hate me for having that hope! *sob*”  Chava reminds her, “And I haven’t even brought up Sofia.  She and I are the most affected by what you’ve done.”  Aracely wonders what’s to be done now?  Chava promises to help if Pedro won’t stand by her.  He makes it very clear it will be as a lifelong friend only.  As a friend, he loves her very much and he’s always proved that to her.  For now, he thinks she needs to speak with Pedro. 

On location…

Security has shown up to separate Armando and Paolo.  They tell Armando he needs to leave since he’s not a guest at the hotel.  Armando refuses, of course.  They continue to argue, Paolo calling Armando crazy and Armando yelling that Paolo was in his gf’s room.  All this ruckus has fails to awaken our sleeping beauty, Alexa.  The arguing continues and Security tells Armando again that he must leave or the police will be called.  Armando finally leaves but not before warning Paolo that it isn’t over.  oooooh, I love Armando when he’s all feisty!

Carnival

What a great dad Armando has turned out to be.  While he’s been out causing a scene at a hotel, his son was left in the care of Lucas and Dani and now with Matias and Irais at some carnival, late at night.  Does he even know where his son is?  Matias is still after Irais but she remains aloof.

Casa de Paco

Chava walks Aracely to her father’s.  She doesn’t want to stay at Chava’s and will return for her things in the morning.  She asks Chava to forgive her.  Chava leaves without saying a word.  Aracely whimpers as she watches him walk away.  waaaaaaahhh.

Depa de Silvana

Pato and Silvana enjoy a candle lit bubble bath along with a glass of wine.  Silvana is enjoying Sofia’s predicament of having her great love marrying her half-sister.  bwa-ha-ha.  Pato agrees this is the worst thing that’s happened to her in all her maldita experience, and all courtesy of Salvador Cruz.  It’s been a long time since anything’s made Pato so happy.  He now understands why Sofia was so quick to accept Geronimo’s proposal.  She’s done this to get back at Chava.  For Sofia to lose the love of her life is only the beginning.  She will soon lose her company.  Silvana thinks it’s a shame Chava won’t be there to witness this.  Pato tells her not to worry, Chava will suffer in other ways. 

Empresa Ripol

Sofia has talks to Geronimo on the phone about dinner plans when her ex-lap dog runs in excitedly.  He can’t wait to tell her the news!  He didn’t even knock!  This is something that can’t wait!  She tells him not to bother, she’s already heard about his wedding plans and doesn’t want to attend.  “But I’m not getting married!” He tells her.  She’s all “Wait, what?”  Chava continues, “And there’s a very good reason for cancelling the wedding – I am NOT the father of Aracely’s baby.  You heard me right.  The little angel that Aracely is expecting is NOT my child!”  Sofia gasps.  He shows her the paternity results,  “The baby is 12 weeks along and that’s when Aracely was with Pedro.  Aracely’s already confirmed that and had no choice but to accept it.”  Sofia is speechless.  Chava reminds her she rejected him so he could stand by Aracely’s side for the baby’s sake.  Well, the baby’s not his but if Aracely needs him, he’ll be there for her but as a friend. “Now nothing will stand in our way.  Here I thought our love would be put away as just a memory.  But now we can shout it out to everyone that we love each other; that our love is just as strong and solid as always.”  She agrees their love is everlasting.  smoochies.  Te Amare croons in the background.

Casa de Paco

Paco just doesn’t understand how Aracely could have created such a mess with her child caught in the middle of it all.  Aracely sits quietly, crying.  Paco continues with the second guessing.  Instead being so hell bent on Chava being the father and hurting all those people, she should have made sure who the father is!  She tells him to please stop scolding her.  Paco loves her dearly but he can’t justify what she’s done.  Aracely tells him she wanted to think she and Chava had conceived a life together.  She wanted that with all her heart.  She admits that at some point she did wonder if Chava might not be the father and she told herself a thousand times not to continue with this.  “Please stop telling me anything because I assure you I’m being punished. *sob* And now my life and my dreams are over forever! *sob*  I didn’t want to hurt anyone.  You know what Chava means to me.  I did it for love.”  Paco disagrees, “Don’t confuse obsession or a whim for such a noble sentiment.  Now, consider Sofia (oh no, he didn’t!).  She gave up her love for you and your baby, demonstrating what love truly is.  It’s time you acknowledge how unfair you’ve been to her.”  Aracely just cries  waaaaaaaaaah

Empresa Ripol

Chava thinks this experience will make their love even stronger.  Sofia agrees and confesses she struggled to stay away from him and had to resist the temptation to go to him.  smoochies.  She tells him he’s her life.  smoochies.  OOPSIE!  Geronimo barges in.  Doesn’t anyone knock?  “Is this how you respect our engagement?” 

After a regrettable interruption to show Nandito, Matias, and Irais still at the Carnival, we return to Sofia’s office as Chava tells Geronimo that he’s NOT the father and so, well, there’s nothing standing in the way of Sofia and him being together.  oh, Gerry is not pleased and begs to differ.  “Sofia and I are engaged and plan to get married.”  Sofia tries to explain that she accepted the proposal because she  had given up on Chava.  Chava chimes in, saying he knows it’s difficult to accept but the engagement just can’t be.  Sofia thinks Geronimo is an understanding man and knows he’ll see that her heart belongs to only one man, Chava.  Geronimo sneers, “You think it’s that simple.  I have made all the wedding arrangements because YOU asked me to.  You said you wanted to be on our honeymoon on the yacht bearing your name on the day Chava got married.”  Sofia apologizes and says he’ll have to accept things have changed.  She gives him back the ring.  Geronimo heaves a huge sigh, “That’s fine Sofia.  This is your decision.”  He walks away.  ruh-roh.  Sofia’s worried that Gerry’s very angry.  Chava tells her not to worry, he’ll realize that their destiny, Chava’s and Sofia’s, is to be together, forever.

Carnival

The evening continues with the child having nachos for dinner while Matias asks Irais to marry him. 

Casa de Chava

Pedro is having pan dulce and coffee (mmmmmm) with Lupe and Marisol.  Lupe wonders why Chava and Aracely haven’t returned from the doctor’s office and starts to worry something may be wrong with the baby.  Pedro spills it.  The reason they went to the doctor’s twice in one day is to find out whether or not he’s the baby-daddy and not Chava!  Lupe is open-mouthed impactada!  Pedro understands Lupe wants to be a grandmother and Marisol an Aunt, but he’s happy to think he could be the father.  Lupe realizes now why he wanted to speak to Chava so urgently.  She wonders how Chava took the news.  Marisol judges Aracely for sleeping first with Pedro and then Chava.  Pedro tells her not to think badly of Aracely.  She was really depressed over Chava, what else, but he felt their time together was really beautiful.  He hadn’t said anything because he knew Aracely hoped the baby-daddy was the man she loves. 

Casa de Paco

Aracely has stopped crying?  Paco offers to go pick up her things so she doesn’t have to face Chava.  She’s sure he’s not there and probably went to tell Sofia the good news.  Besides, she wants to give Marisol and Lupe an explanation.  Oh, here come the waterworks again.  Matias and Irais arrive with Nandito in Matias’ arms, fast asleep.  So I guess the kid is now in Paco’s hands? 

Casa de Chava

Lupe will pray everything turns out as it should and she knows Aracely will have all the support she needs, no matter who the father is.  Aracely and Paco arrive.   Everyone leaves to give them some privacy.  Aracely gives Pedro the news that he’s the father.  She’s not too happy about it but he’s overjoyed.

Armando finally arrives for Nandito at Paco’s even though he wasn’t expected until tomorrow.  Paco notices Armando doesn’t seem like himself.  Armando offers no explanations and will see them tomorrow.

Chava and Sofia arrive via motorcycle at her father’s quinta, I believe.  Love talk: I’m so happy, no I’m so happy.  I love you. I love you forever.  The clothes start coming off and you can figure out the rest. 

While our tortolitos frolic, a storm brews at Geronimo’s.  He stands there, looking at the engagement ring, “You shouldn’t have provoked me, Sofia.  You shouldn’t have rejected me for a Nobody.  I’m going to pay back your snub (desprecio) where it will hurt Chava the most.”
