Amores con trampa 4/20-4/21 La Fiesta and its aftermath

It was a full episode tonight with a decidedly dramatic turn toward the end, but Margarito!

Right to the new
Santiago(Santi) goes to Estefany's house. At least he thinks it's her house. That's where he dropped her off last time. The voice at the other end of the speaker box informs him that there is no Estefany there. Try the house next door. Santi is confused.

In the office, Santi whines to Esteban. He went to Estefany's "house"...or at least he thought it was her house-that's where he dropped her off last time. Esteban tries to tell him "I told you so." Not only did they tell Santi that Estefany didn't live there, they ran him off. HIM! Santi wonders why Estefany should do such a thing. He thought they had a good relationship. Esteban questions "relationship" so Santi concedes that "connection" might be the better word. Esteban tells him to talk to Estefany, but Santi tells him she won't answer her cell (the cell SANTI pays for.) Santi panics. What if she went to Africa? Esteban is sure Santi will find out and come running to tell him. Santi starts to complain that all women are the same-dishonest liars. Luckily, his Puchis is different! Esteban looks at him funny and Santi backtracks and explains that if he's playing this game with Estefany it's because Puchis practically pushed him to to it.

The party has begun! There are bubbles and techno-beats everywhere. It's a masquerade party and the guests are arriving. Conchita tries to tell the hired waiters how to serve the drinks. Isabel(Isa) tells Conchita to go watch her telenovela. This upsets Conchita. She wanted to stick around for Rocio's party. Isa tells the waiter to stop serving at 1 and then turns to Santi and worries how they will pay for everything. They are mobbed by guests. Santi tells her to enjoy the party. Isa rolls her eyes and walks away.

Francisca(Fran) and company greet Rocio. She isn't impressed with their rendition of "Las Mañanitas" and asks them to stop. Fran asks about Diego and Rocio informs her that they broke up. Fran can't believe it. Felipe(Feli) arrives and Fran asks why he didn't tell her Rocio and Diego broke up. He's shocked and Rocio tells Fran she hadn't even had time to tell her brother (This recapper thinks Fran is a big-mouthed FROG.) Feli goes to deliver glow-stick bracelets to the guests...namely Carmen and Beto. Beto sees Rocio from across the lawn and excuses himself. Feli compliments Carmen. She asks him to dance, but remembers his girlfriend when he gently declines the offer.

Fran's minions have noticed that Carmen and Fran are dressed alike (even down to their masks.) They laugh and Fran shuts them up. They tell her it's not their fault that Fran and the Rancherita have the same taste! Fran badmouths Carmen's dress as chusma(trash). Fran claims her dress is an exclusive. Her friends scoff. Exclusive chusma they jeer.

Beto tells Rocio she is beautiful and she tells him he's handsome. They get romantic and Fran takes pictures with her phone. Beto gives Rocio another birthday present. This one is her real birthday present. The other one was just because. Rocio asks him to help her take her presents to her bedroom. Beto jumps to help and then asks "you said your bedroom?" He and Rocio head for the house and Isa follows, leaving Santi alone. He is accosted by a masked person. The mask kisses him, which looks all kinds of weird.

Meanwhile, Rocio busts some strong moves on Beto. Isa interrupts and she's not happy. Poor Beto. Isa sees why Rocio wasn't attending her guests! But she was attending the rancherito very well! Rocio calls her aunt an amargada(bitter person/sourpuss) and leaves with Beto. Isa sarcastically offers to loan them her bedroom.

Santi lifts the mask of his "assailant" and discovers it's Estefany. He asks why she's there. He doesn't like the surprise. She's going to get him in trouble with his wife. She just wanted to surprise him. He reminds her that he's married and she's known that since the beginning. He tells her to leave. Isa almost catches them. She doesn't realize Estefy is there and tells a group of guests they have one hour left.

Susana and Alejandra chase poor Margarito. When they finally catch him, they put a cape on him. (I think Margarito has an instagram account @margaritoamores) Abuela runs them out of the kitchen. Maria comes to make herself a tea. Maria is worried about the kids at the party. She and Abuela talk about how different things are here in the city. Maria just has a weird feeling about things. Mother's have a sixth sense when it comes to their kids. Abuela tells her to go find Facundo and the two of them go to the party. Abuela will take care of the kids.

Facundo is enjoying the moon of the DF. Sadly, there are no stars to keep the moon company. In San Bartolo el Chico, there were so many stars. You could almost reach up and grab them. He really misses San Bartolo. Maria asks him to take her to the party to check on the kids.

Fran lets the DJ know it's time to put their plan in motion. The DJ plays a horrid video on the big screen. It makes fun not just of Carmen, but of ALL the Carmonas...even Abuelo Porfirio and Maria. Not cool. (We finally get some more animated fleas and I can't even enjoy them.) Feli knows immediately that it's Fran's doing, but she denies it (and gets indignant about it, too. Hipócrita.) Beto goes to comfort his sister. Carmen claims to be fine and says she's going to the bathroom.

Facundo and Maria hear the music as they get closer to the party. They start to dance. Hee hee. It's funny. Go Big Ed! They almost kiss and for whatever reason Facundo cuts it short.

Two masked females enter the dark house. Then Feli enters. He runs into one masked girl. They kiss and someone takes a picture. Mystery girl ends the kiss and runs (yeah yeah, not much of a mystery. It looked an awful lot like Carmen to me.)

Outside, Feli runs into Fran and they kiss. She apologizes and he accepts her apology. And then runs off.

Inside, Carmen finds a toddler picture of Feli and talks about how cute he is. Fran catches her and tells her to stop going after her boyfriend. GIRL FIGHT!!

Facundo and Maria are at the party. Maria just wants to check on the kids and then leave. Maria likes the bubbles and lights. Facundo talks about the parties in San Bartolo. Santi welcomes them and thanks them for coming. He tries to convince Facundo to put on the mask. Santi tells Maria and Facundo everything is fine. The party is perfectly under control.

Jacinto asks Abuelo if he misses the country. Abuelo does. He talks about the good food. I get hungry too! Then he talks about the band showing up at the kiosk and he remembers asking the ladies to dance a waltz. Jacinto asks who he's dancing with and Abuelo explains he's thinking of Jacinto's beautiful abuela.

Santi stops the Carmonas from leaving and asks Isa to join them for a drink. A dark drink since "dark" is the theme of the party. Maria doesn't want to drink. Drinking is from the devil.

Uh oh. An angry (and drunk?) Diego shows up screaming for Rocio. He makes his way to the stage and grabs a mic. Santi wants to stop him. Isa thinks it's a disaster. Rocio is shocked and Beto asks her if she wants him to throw Diego out.

Fran and Carmen are still fighting. They've started throwing pillows and hitting each other with them. They hear Diego and head outside.

Santi tries to shut Diego up. Diego wants everyone to know what Rocio did to him and the crowd chants "Let him talk!"

Alejandra paints Margarito's piggies. I don't think Margarito likes it :-(

Ok. So Esteban is at the party too. He and Isa run into each other in the house. She's as surprises as I am. Santi doesn't know he's there. Esteban tells Isa that Santi is worried. Santi had confided in him that she was dreaming of Facundo. Isa is upset that Santi talked to Esteban about it. Esteban asks her not to tell Santi he talked to her. Esteban says she knows how he feels about her. Isa claims to have a migraine(jaqueca). Isa tells him what happened between them is history and asks him to please act like it never happened. Things are very hard right now and he's just making it worse. She will never go out with him again. Estebean is left alone with his thoughts. She will return to him. He's never stopped thinking about her.

Diego continues his drunken confession of love and asks how she could leave him for the Ranchero. Fran and Carmen come out and Facundo notices how disheveled she is. Carmen tries to act like nothing happened.

Rocio asks Diego why he's ruining her party. Beto and Diego get into a fight and Santi calls for Facundo to break them up. Sadly, Big Ed stays dry. Drat. Rocio runs to her room to cry.

Santi brings Rocio a little flower and tries to comfort her. He is so sweet to them. He knows it wasn't the party she dreamed about, but she looks pretty. She shouldn't cry. She asks why everything turns out badly for her. Isa comes in and is less than understanding. She blames Rocio for the party. She tells her to take responsibility for it. Act like a 19 year old. Santi tells Isa that's enough.

Maria and Facundo drag Carmen and Beto home. Alejandra assumes the party is over and offers to get her stuff and go. Maria tells her to stay. Susana, Alejandra and Abuela leave. Somehow Carmen weasels out of getting yelled at with just a whiny "Amá". Maria starts in on Beto. She can't believe he lied to her. Beto had promised to stay away from that crazy girl. Facundo starts to defend him, but Beto stops him. Beto admits he likes Rocio and he's going to keep seeing her. Even if it means disobeying his mother. He doesn't mean any disrespect, but he really likes Rocio.

At the Velasco house, Santi tries to tell Isa that now is not the time to be yelling at Rocio. Isa tells Rocio to suck it up and quit crying like a little girl. Santi reminds Isa that Rocio is a little girl. Her party was ruined. He asks Isa to stop being so cold. Rocio tells her uncle not to worry about it. She knows Isa does't care. Isa blames everything on Beto and Rocio tells Isa that she loves Beto. Isa can't believe it. Santi drags Isa out of the room and they start to argue loudly in the hallway.

Santi can't belive Isa treats her niece like a stranger. Santi is ashamed. Isa isn't half the woman he married. It's moments like this when he asks himself what he ever saw in Isa. She's so cruel. He tells her to leave and she wonders where she's supposed to go. She throws in his face the fact that they have nothing. They continue to fight about her behavior and his. In her room, Rocio looks at the present Beto gave her.

Feli finally breaks up the fight and is on Santi's side. Wow this got heavy.

Maria tells Beto to forget about Rocio. She tells him to pack his bag. She's sending him to live with Tia Humilde. Facundo tells her she's not throwing his son out. She tells Facundo she's not throwing him out, she's sending him back to the country that they never should have left. Maria then gets very mad and says Facundo knew about this and the two of them were keeping it from her. Facundo tells her not to talk to him like that in front of Beto and yells that he is her husband! Beto asks them both not to fight. He'll pack his bag and go. Just please don't fight. Maria tells Facundo she'll leave too. Beto again begs them not to fight. Facundo hugs him.

Yeah. Pretty heavy.

Comments:
Sara, yup, this turned really heavy at the end. Thank goodness Margarito was there earlier to lighten and brighten the episode. Thank you for your most excellent recap.

Carmen and Francis with their pillow fight were like two little kids being so easily distracted by hearing Diego and basically forgetting about each other just to see what was going on.

I liked grandpappy Ignacio reminiscing with Joaquín. So he can talk about things other than huevos.

Poor Beto and Rocío both had the same negative and extreme reaction from María and Isabel to their love for each other. Facundo and Santiago were both so much more realistic and humane.

Who knew that Santiago wasn't the only unfaithful partner in his marriage? That whole Esteban revelation was a surprise.

I also wonder why Isabel seems to hate Rocío so much and keeps throwing her "useless" father in her face?

The mysteries just keep growing.

Jarifa

I just saw the instagram@margaritoamores. Cute idea.

Jarifa

Sara- ITA. We went from a light, raucous evening of masked parties and pajama parties, and ended up with some heavy duty marriage and Romeo and Juliet troubles. Isa and Este were quite a surprise. Hmmm...I want to know more! I have faith that Maria will lighten up soon and give Rocio a chance. But that argument sure was evidence of who really rules the roost in the Carmona house.

Margarito trying to get away from those crazy pre-teens was a hoot. Glad the girls had a fun night. And Abuelo and Jacinto were cute together.

Francis and Carmen looked like they were about to break out into a giggle fest soon, had their pillow fight not been interrupted by Diego's drunken rant. It was pretty funny that they wore the same dress and mask. I'm sure Feli realized that the mystery girl he kissed in the dark was not Francis, especially after he kissed her right after.

This episode reminded me of the those Mama and Eunice sketches on the Carol Burnett Show. There were funny moments, but under the surface there was a lot of anger and resentment.l

Isa came off as the bad guy last night.

And yes, Jarifa...the mysteries do seem to be growing!

I wonder if the Esteban/Isa hook up was recent, or has he been mooning over her since college??

And who was Rocio's dad??

Why is Santi so much kinder to the children than Isa?

I do not have an instagram account, but it is VERY tempting to get one just for Margarito!

Vivi-Maria definitely needs to lighten up. I just don't get why she dislikes Rocio so much!!

Feli definitely figured out he kissed someone other than Francis!

Sara, you do not need an instagram account. I do not have one either. I got there by searching "instagram margaritoamores" and landed up on a subsection of "websta.me". If it asks you to login, just click it closed. You can view but not comment.

He even did a selfie. Lol.

Jarifa

Woo hoo! Thanks for the info! I hope Diana sees it too!

There's so much sadness behind Isa's rants at Rocio and Santi that it seems there is some deep hurt behind her coldness. I'm sure we'll find out what caused it eventually. Really loved how sweet Santi was with Rocio and how he defended her to Isa.

I just took a peek! How cute. I love his captions. "I like chulaquiles." Hee hee!

Vivi- there is definitely something going on with Isa.

I forgot to say that the Esteban reveal was almost a relief. If Isa and Santi's marriage breaks up, she could still end up with Esteban and Facundo and Maria are safe!

Sara, if you want to put up a header tomorrow for Wed/Thurs, I will be able to do a recap for Wed. In the comments.

Jarifa

Awesome! Will do! Just say the word and I'll email blogmom about getting you posting privileges :D

Looking forward to it!

Thanks, for the posting privileges offer. For now, I am happy in the comments. Just easier for me at the present time.

Jarifa

Your wish is my command.

Many thanks to you and Marta for keeping us rolling. :)

2 masked females barging into the house? This won't end well LOL.

Santiago should've gone to a hotel to meet with his mistress!

And a big thanks to you, Sara, for organizing and overseeing all of this.

Jarifa

Thanks, Sara. My favorite: We finally get some more animated fleas and I can't even enjoy them.

I too got a vibe during their pillow fight that Carmen and Fran might eventually become friends.

Felipe, really? Both women wore black dresses, but one is a blonde, the other brunette. I like Felipe, but Carmen and Fran are doing way too much work to land or keep him, while he just schmoozes between them.

I don’t know where Maria got the idea that Rocio is a two-faced rich B that will break her son’s heart just for sport, but I believe that’s what she thinks. Rocio telling the truth about Santi’s scam should’ve opened her eyes, but nope.

Sweetest moments: (1) Maria telling Alexandra she didn’t need to go home; the poor girl is so used to being shunted aside when adults argue. (2) Porfirio dancing with his deceased wife.

Bad moment: Margarito getting ambushed to have his toenails polished. Yikes!

Funny moment: Santi kept assuring Facundo to chill cause he had the party under control. Then when the boys went to fisticuffs, Santi knew he was in over his head and signaled to Facundo “now you can help!”

What in the world could’ve happened to Isa five months ago?

Wonderful recap!

Wow this show has taken a turn. Isa is looking more the villain than Santi now.

Santi still in love with his wife and loves the kids. So what did happen to Isa for her to turn cold and mean? Was it Friday's episode where Isa made a comment about getting Rocio out of the house by a certain date? And what does she have against her that she doesn't with Feli?

I'm wondering if the parents of Feli and Rocio aren't dead but in jail and getting out soon...I can't remember if we ever heard what happened to them.

With Esteban's reveal I now think he must be the one working with Estefy.

Must admit I'm feeling really bad for Santi, even with all of his evil schemes against the Carmonas!

I wasn't able to watch all of the ep last night, but what I did see, my fav fav fav part was Margarito asleep in Abuela's arms.

Nanette

Thank you Niecie and Carvivlie.

I didn't even think twice about the no nookie in 5 months reveal and now it's got me wondering. Is *that* when Isa and Esteban went out. For some reason I assumed it was a college fling, but something as recent as 5 months ago makes a lot more sense. This is why I need Caray--so I can REALLY understand what's going on.

It was very touching the way Maria told Alejandra she didn't need to leave. I hope that nothing comes between the Carmonas and Alejandra. She needs them.

And as cute as Margarito is, it was disturbing to hear him squealing in protest over the chase and subsequent beauty treatment.

Yes, Carvivilie--I think it was Thursday or Friday when Isa mentioned having to get Rocio out of the house by a certain date. The parents being released from jail theory is a great one! If I remember correctly, we DON'T know what happened to the parents. Maria asked, but Isa was drunk and never answered.

Nanette--wasn't the snoozing Margarito just the sweetest thing??

Sara: I'm seriously in love!

Me too!

I van neither confirm nor deny I set up an instagram account so I could follow him. ;)

Tuesday April 21 Capítulo 17 Let's start at the very beginning
Just finished watching. I may need to call on reinforcements to catch stuff I forget.

How do you solve a problem like Maria...er Beto
I'll start with Maria. I am not happy with her right now. She's thrown Beto out of the house (no matter how much she tries to say she's just sending him back...she's still essentially thrown him out of the house, no?) Anyhoo, there are tearful good-byes all around. Beto's siblings are rightly mad and unhappy with their mother. Rocio begs him to stay and not leave her.

Maria at least does second guess herself for most of the episode. As I think she should. Neither Rocio nor Beto have done any harm to anyone. Carmen wrecked someone's car in her fight over Felipe. Why isn't Maria bad-mouthing Felipe?

But I guess this doesn't tell you anything about what happened.

Where was I? Oh tearful good-byes and second guesses. Abuela Perpetua tries to assure Maria that she is doing the right thing. Kids make stupid love choices when they are young. But apparently Maria is the exception to that. She met and fell in love with Facundo when she was 14...but he's her love match.

Beto stays in touch with the family and Rocio via phone. I became suspicious as soon as Maria asked to talk to Tia Humilde and Beto claimed the connection was breaking up.

Turns out Beto (with the help of Facundo I am sure) has stayed in the DF and at the end of the episode goes to see Rocio and they embrace and kiss.

Tuesday April 17 Capitulo 17

Dough
Santi ain't got any and Estefany managed to get 2 million out of him. He calls her on her scam. She manages to weasel out of it. She explains that she had this wonderful life in Bali, but one day her boss suddenly became obsessed with her. She had to come back to Mexico for her safety. But she's still not safe! She arrived home (she says she's living with her aunt and uncle) to find a note on the door "Te encontré" (I found you.)

So he still hasn't gotten back his dough and the bank wants their dough so they foreclose on the house.

Rey
Santi tried to regain his male ego this episode.

He tells Estefy he's buying her an apartment and if that bad stalker man comes around HE will make sure Estefy is safe. Stalker Man won't hurt her while SANTI is there.

Santi stands up to Isa, too (well, sort of.) First, he refuses to apologize for his behavior the night before. According to him, someone had to put a stop to Isa's rantings. He's had it with her. Eventually he does grudgingly apologize.

But all is forgotten when Isa busts into his office to confront him about the foreclosure.

ME
Isa is another character that has been showing her bad side lately.

She gives a brunch for the ladies and plays off the current financial woes as lies. Everything is fine. The ladies are appeased...until the men from the bank show up to do an inventory of all the valuables in the house.

Isa goes to Santi's office in a rage. How could this happen? She runs around the offices telling the employees the business is broke and that they will not be paid.

Oh the humilliation! Santi reminds her that she knew perfectly well how bad the financial situation was. If she wants to do anything about it, get Facundo on board with the business deal.

When she returns home, she starts packing up her valuables. Rocio catches her and they get into a big fight. Isa is insulting and Rocio tells Isa she will end up alone. And now my memory fails me...Did Isa say "why did I get involved with a loser like your UNCLE" or "Why did I ever get involved with a loser like your DAD?"

Rocio threatens to leave the house and Isa asks where she's going to go? Her only option is to marry some rich guy since she never studied. (This made me a little nervous. Does Rocio really like Beto, or is she just trying to land a rich husband...but I guess Diego was rich too...)

Definitely feel free to fill in.

Did anyone else think that Beto's long goidbye would never end? The funniest part was Beto telling Margarito not to get fat or he'd end up roasting on the spit.

I was surprised that María felt so much guilt for exiling Beto and causing such sadness in the family. Then it was her worrying that Beto hated her. Interesting that Granny Perpétua reminds her she was fourteen when she went crazy herself over Facundo.
Susana Gusana with her "Falta Beto. Estamos incompletos" said it all.

What a line of bull from Estefany about her being in hiding from that guy in Bali. Funny how Santiago had no problem believing it because then he coukd give her refuge at the new apartment.

I bet Isabel was silently kicking herself for telling Santiago not to stick around to eat (because her friends were coming to brunch) when the officials showed up to inventory their personal items for the seizure ( embargo) in front of her friends. Surprise!

I wonder what the fallout is going to be that Beto didn't go to the country and tía Humilde. How long until
Facundo and María find out?

Should be interesting . . .

Jarifa

Loved the "dough, rey, me"!

Jarifa

Yes, Jarifa Susana Gusana spoke volumes with that line!

It did take a while for Beto to finally get going lol.

I think Facundo knows Beto stayed, but I'm almost always wrong.

Thanks Jarifa!

I promise that the recaps will get better this summer. I won't be having to do them before work in the morning. Plus most of my other shows will be in rerun social can actually watch real time.

Jarifa, I'm going to schedule the header to go up at 8 central so the comment section will be waiting. :)

Thanks, Sara! Ay! More fallout from the party for the young lovers.

I think Facundo believes Beto got on that bus, where he left him. Maria was definitely second guessing her decision. When she finds out that Beto lied, will she take a harder stance or will she relent when she sees their feelings for each other are real? I wish she had gone over to see Rocio and had seen how much she was crying for Beto. She did explain more why she's against Rocio. She said a man should have a hard working wife by his side, and from what she could see, Rocio did nothing and knows how to do nothing. I can't say I disagree with that assessment, at least So far. So if you're comparing her to Felipe- he's in school for a career, and he works too.

I see Maria's point, but that doesn't excuse Carmen's behavior. María's reaction to Beto and Rocío is a little too over the top to me... Not with Carmen running around destroying vehicles and getting into fights.

And what the hell is Beto doing? He's not that much more hardworking than Rocío.

Beto can drive. Why isn't he delivering pizzas?

Clearly I have taken Rocío under my wing. ;)

Funny moments:
Santi telling the other restaurant patrons buenos dias each time they stared at him for causing a scene. He really is a soft touch and can't stand to see any woman cry. Whatever Stefi has planned should be easy.

Grandpa disappointed that he didn't get at chance to talk to that hottie Tia Humilde on the phone, and getting elbowed in the ribs by Abuela.

Isa coming face to face with the embargo guys, after lying that it was all rumors to her rich frienemies.

Sara, there is nothing wrong with your recaps now. Thanks for posting the header and letting me know the time it will be up. The recap will be up late tonight/early a.m.

You could be right about Facundo knowing about Beto.

Jarifa

Thanks Jarifa.

Abuelo was funny last night. What was his line? No one should be denied water or a kiss? Something like that.

Abuela and Abuelo both looked like they giggled a bit during that scene you pointed out Vivi.

Beto had been working from Sun up to sundown until they came to the city, and he's skilled with ranch work. He and Facundo have busied themselves with smaller scale animal and gardening chores since they arrived in the city. They all know he can and does work hard. I wouldn't be surprised if he does soon start to deliver pizzas with Feli (he might need to get to know the city a bit better so that he doesn't get lost). But Rocio has never shown any initiative to either work or study. Not one bit. Not saying that this affects her ability to love sincerely and be a good girlfriend to Beto, but Maria is looking at the practicalities. And Rocio looks like a useless woman, a big no no in the countryside.

I just have a big soft spot for Rocío. I feel like she's a victim of circumstance. She's lost her parents... we don't know how... and Isa hasn't exactly been a hard-working role model. I wonder if Rocío got any help when her parents went away and I also think that Santi and Isa gave into her a lot and treated her with kid gloves.

I want to see her change and I think she constantly hears the message "you do nothing" so she figures "Meh, there are no expectations. Why bother?" Not everyone has an "I'll show them" personality. I'm sure she's got horrible self esteem, too.

Sara- ITA about Rocio. I'm actually expecting her to find some fabulous calling by the end of this. I just know there is something she's always dreamed of doing, or some hidden talent she hasn't wanted to show.

Another funny moment: Facundo reacting to Rocio's short skirt and crop top by telling her to go back home and cover herself up before she catches a chill. Beto didn't seem to mind the outfit at all...

I marvel at how Isa/Itati can run around like a mad woman in those crazy high heeled shoes, and think it's funny that she still looks so short next to everyone else even when wearing them.

Yes, Vivi! I totally want Rocío to find her calling!

I can't even walk barefoot without tripping, so I applaud Itatí. I do kind of hope they stop making her the shrewish wife/villana.

Thank you for the recap!! I missed last night's episode and forgot to dvr.

Question: Esteban keeps talking about their new business. What is it? So they took Facundo's money and instead of paying off some of the debt on their current business, they've decided to start a new one. But yet $2m was used to buy Estefany her apt but not used to pay off Santi's current mortgage?

Carvivlie- Seeing Santi's decision-making skills with money, we quickly realize why he's in so much financial trouble.

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused, Carvivlie!

They keep talking about the new business and Facundo being an associate...but I really thought the 50 million pesos was just a loan. And Facudno has asked for that money back and still hasn't been repaid.

Question: is Margarito an unexpected breakout star they've decided to "exploit" or was he always meant to be the star of the show?

I think they always meant for him to be a "star" (I'm basing this on the little animated brown pig in the opening credits.)

According to some articles (here are links to two)...:
http://radioformula.com.mx/notas.asp?Idn=483369&idFC=2015

http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/espectaculos/2015/productor-permiso-usar-animales-telenovela-amores-trampa-1081270.html

...Larrosa was given permission to use the animals because they weren't being mistreated or made to perform. They were given free range on the set and even ruined a few scenes by walking into them and...um...relieving themselves.

I bet Margarito didn't count because a miniature pig is a pet. Maybe that's how they got away with the chase scene and the nail polish scene.

The scene with Rocio was cute last night when she was going home crying. It looked like she was close to petting Petunia. But Petunia made a quick move, and Rocio jumped and screamed, then ran into the house. I don't think scenes like that can possibly be planned. Thank you again and again recappers for putting this together. I can't for a minute follow the dialogue. The nuances completely escape me.

Anon12:50-This show is stretching my comprehension too! I KNOW I am missing nuances. I'm glad you mentioned that scene, because it was definitely an unplanned thing. I think the actress smiled a little too. I got a giggle too.

(Feel free to comment and ask as many questions as you want! The more the merrier!)

Thank you Martaivett and Sara for the fun recaps and without them I'd be pretty much lost with the mile a minute speaking pace even with Spanish captions. Gracias!

So did Rocio turn 18. So she should be more responsible for herself now. Though Isa and Santi aren't the best role models, you's think she might want to contribute a little bit especially after they threw the big bash which they don 't have any money to pay for. She knows that. Try the mall, Rocio, perhaps they have a Goth type store that's hiring.

What a situation both neighbors are in. There world is changing fast. Hoping for some levity to return or more cute animals scenes. Almost forgot, at least some positive progress when Felipe broke up with Fran, in public, too.

GinCA

GinCA- I think Feli actually gave Fran ONE more chance. She acts like a beyotch once more and pulls one of those stunts, and he's done with her. He's giving her fair warning. Really, he should have just ended it right then and there. But it will be interesting to see if Fran can control herself as she tries not to mess up her last chance.

I think Rocio turned 19.

And thanks for the reminder, Vivi. I can't believe I left it out of the mini-sort-of-kind-of-recap...but I was like "YES!! Feli is breaking up with Fran" and then I was "QT?? ONE more chance?!" *sigh*

Yeah, 19. Isa and Santi had that argument last episode about whether Rocio's still a little girl and mentioned her age. Isa thinks, no. Santi thinks, yes.

It's probably not a plot point, but why does Santi seem so caring with Rocío and Feli and barely acknowledges Alejandra?

Poor Alejandra seems to get ignored by everyone.

Could it just be that when Rocio and Feli came to live with them, they were vulnerable little 5-7 year olds and just grabbed hold of Santi's heart. I can imagine that baby Alejandra was sidelined with the maid/nanny, while Santi and Isa focused on getting their orphaned niece and nephew settled.

I'm barely thinking. So Alejandra was born about the time Rocio and Feli showed up, right?

That could make sense about her being handed off to a nanny.

And another thought-Isa mentions the nogoodnik dad a lot and rarely the sister. Just something that makes me go hmmmm.

Sara, thanks for the highlights. I’m betting Facundo knows about Beto not leaving too. He’s being patient with Maria (scooting her over on the bed step by step, too cute!), and I think he'd be a lot angrier if he didn’t know Beto was around the corner.

So for Maria it’s okay for her to have fallen in love with Facundo at 14, but her 20 year old son can’t follow his heart? Maria, not cool.

ITA Rocio does need to find a vocation. I am bothered that she seems to be trying to bed Beto right away. We don’t need her to get pregnant now. Seems like Beto is the virgin here.

Isa was so out of line telling Santi’s employees that they won’t get paid. Could Santi be any more humiliated?

Rocio does seem to be pretty aggressive sexually. My armchair psychologist self thinks this is due to low self-esteem.

Thanks, Sara and Vivi for the info on Rocio's age and, darn, I really thought Fran had overstepped a final time. How many times will Felipe give her a second chance. I think he'll end up with Carmen but I hope she gets to know some other guys first.

GinCA

Completely agree, GinCA! How many times does Francis have to show her rear before Feli gets a clue?
