Que Te Perdone Dios #67: Pity Party for One?

Cap 67

Abigail races over to the Montero place to help Toño through his drunken sob-fest.

Abi learns Tony's pissed cuz he’s pissed to have learned that Simona lied to him all his life about not really being his mother.  How would she feel if she found out the same?  Abi frowns big-time.  It doesn’t look very good for Renata’s Tale of Truth.

Meanwhile, the cops do an end run around Julian-lio to bring him to Com. Barragan’s office for a sit-down.  Comandante explains that there’s no proof Simona killed Mia.  She’s about to be let free unless El Lio de Juli or his “sister,” Diana have some other complaint.

Macaria and Fausto get into a game of chicken over whose threat is greater re: Who Shot J.R.—er…Pablo.    He takes out The Gun from his office safe as she watches closely, wipes the barrel off, just in case after all these years there might still be a print or two of his, and then calls Barragan’s office to have him come over with information leading to the case.  Rotten shame, he says, if you serve a life sentence for the murder of a man I killed!  Just as Barragan arrives, the argument subsides as Feisty has won this battle of wits with Mac also.  It's Jaque-mate.  Checkmate! Vicenta is told through the closed office door to send Barragan home due to a “cancelled appointment.”

Abi returns home and explains to Ren about Tony and his predicament.  No way she’d ever forgive anyone telling her that the woman who raised her wasn’t really her mother.  Of course, she adds, it would be just another lie of many around there for her.

Ren visits Simona in jail to pay her respects and empathize with her over the rotten way Tony has rejected her.  She returns home and promptly loses her courage over coming clean with Abi about being her real mother.  She   remembers Mac’s snide threats from earlier, Abi’s declaration and feels totally helpless.

[This is where I fell asleep!  Feel free to add what I left out at the end here.--ed.]

I'm sure Renata is going to feel the backlash once Abigail learns the truth about who's her bio mom!

I saw the last 20 min. There was a montage of Fausto campaigning and Ren standing by her man throughout the campaign stops. Also, Max learned to shoot a gun in the father/son section of the montage. Max had asked Lucio to kill Fausto, and when Lucio said he'd handle it his way, Max asked to at least teach him to shoot, to defend himself. The ending was Julio walking up to Diana with Toño in tow. Diana asks, "Where are you going with this, thing?" Julio reveals that Toño is his son, and Diana is impactada.

I always seem to be behind one or two episodes watching because I'm watching via HULU, and they are notorious for postponing their uploads at least a day or two.
So far this novela seems to revolve around nothing but Fausto. When get into the Fausto/ Abigail part I will sure as hell >>>>FF
Thanks to all the recappers for keeping your recaps coming.

Thanks so much Jardinera! Great bullet point recap. And thanks TN4ever for the additional info on the last minutes. I was shaking my head as I watched Ren stand by Fausto's side as the proud wife as he campaigned. Ugh!

There was also a flash on the screen as all those scene went by that said 2 months later.

About the gun. Basically Fausto and Mac came to a stalemate. They did hand a gun over to Barragan, but it wasn't THE gun. It was an unregistered gun of the same make and caliber of THE gun. So for now, Mac holds on to the real murder weapon, but keeps her mouth shut about Fausto, and Barragan gets a false lead that he can chew on for a while as the ballistics are done on the gun. The plus for Fausto is that Mac's blackmail becomes weakened by handing over a false gun. If she does eventually go to Barragan with the real gun, he won't be so quick to believe her or follow up.

Other items:

Max ordered Lucio to kill Fausto. Lucio refused but gave lessons to Max on how to shoot a gun. Max is a sorry shooter.

Avance: Fausto shoots Max.

Helena lines, Ximena lines, Porfirio lines, Simona lines, Renata lines.

LOL LOL LOL @ Fausto's campaign posters!

I wonder what did the Campaign posters say, Welcome to Democracy or did it say Spread your legs??

As for the part two ,i will try posting it tommorow .I had much work with school since I am approching my own Ultimas Semanas quite soon!

Thanks Jardinera.

Wasn't that a compelling face off between Fausto and Macaria? Their discussions are certainly more interesting and entertaining than any that Abigail and Mateo have had so far.

Carlos

That scene between Macaria and Fausto was so awesome that I managed to stay awake for the show.

TN4ever: Now we're going to see Fausto campaigning from now on huh.

We already know there's several people, who are obviously NOT voting for him!

Carlos/Cynderella: ITA-- a mahhhhvelous imbroglio between these two manipulative, miscreamts. It was the highlight of the entire episodio.

CountX: A good first half and I truly enjoyed reading it. You had some great snark good for quite a few chuckles and then some!

Thanks Jardinera! You are so right. This is a Fuasto show and that turns people off. That been said, is he seriously thinking of Abi as a lover? How sick is this guy? Tony meets his sperm donor for a minute and now 20 odd years with Simona mean nothing? Simona doesn't deserve this. What an ingrate. What kind of a man is Julio? Is he loving what his son is turning into? There should be some balance here soon or we will all quit. The bad guys seem to be on top all the time. Sucks! !if Mateo wrings his hands one more time, I will loose it. His time will be better spent keeping taps on his nympho wife. He won't leave nympho but its ok to stalk Abi? What a guy! Nobody except local grandma is thinking. Hmmm.

Hanna

Thanks Jardinera, and great conversation between Fausto and Marcaria, the truth starts unravelling eventually.

Hanna: the bad guys winning reminds me of what happened on PSMA!
