Que Te Perdone Dios: Proposal Accepted

Mateo taunts Abigail about not loving Diego; she tells him to get stuffed cuz there’s a baby on the way.
Julio/ian shares a beer at the corner cantina with Toño and tells him he never made a formal complaint against Simona.  They can be friends now, especially since the kid reminds him of a woman he once knew back in the day.  Somebody else wants her in jail.  Toño later tells him his papa and kid brother have both died.

Crazy Constanza stops by her local witchdoctor’s, Meliton’s hut, to request he get her back her memory.  He tells her it’ll be painful, facing all the hurt and pain from the past.  (So I guess he’s ruled out simple Alzheimer’s, right?)
Barragan tells Dr. Pat that his ex has been looking for him, but he wasn’t going to tell her that he knew the good doc until Dr. Pat told him that he wanted to be found.  Dr. P says let sleeping bitches lie/er lay?  No need to open up old wounds, especially since he’s now in love with Renata.
Mateo and Diego have the orphan, Domingo, transferred to Ciudad de Valle for his appendectomy.  Renata is in Dr. Pat’s office for her Braille lesson and comes out to keep Diego company while he waits on Domi’s surgery.   She’s finally ready to believe Diego when he tells her what a skunk Macaria is as a mother and how she’s threatened him trying to keep him clear of Abi.  Renata gives her blessing to their “union.”
Abi sneaks into Lucio’s dump and finds her “mom” in bed doing the bump ‘n grind with him.  She runs her mother off and warns Lucio at gunpoint to never touch another hair on Teodora’s head again—all this after Teo refuses to report him or the rape to the authorities for fear of being socially outcast cuz she was raped.
Fausto and Diana get it on while Renata is out of the house—but only after he buys Di a pearl necklace which they agree he’ll give her over dinner to keep the others from gossiping about the two of them. (As if!)
At the hospital Mat overhears Diego proposing to (more like begging) Abi to get married ASAP and she accepts.

How long before Fausto & Diana get caught ?

Poor Mateo is getting PLAYED !

Great title Jardinera. "He tells her it’ll be painful, facing all the hurt and pain from the past. (So I guess he’s ruled out simple Alzheimer’s, right?)" was an excellent line

I watched a few minutes of this and am frankly pulled in by Julio/ian. Fabian Robles is an amazing actor.

Fausto is disgusting. And speaking of, I cannot believe I sort of pitied him early on. Ack.

I know this is moving to 9:00 when Hasta ends, but is that permanent or just temporary? I can probably watch most nights if 9, but just can't watch at 10.

Diana

Diana, are you living in Eastern Standard Time ?

I'm in Central Standard Time!

UGH! Fausto is really a nasty piece of work. He begs and cries to Renata about loving her and never betraying her again and jumps right into bed with Dianaconda at the first opportunity. WE all knew he was lying, of course, but poor (dumb?) Renata really fell for his crocodile tears. He knew exactly how to play her when he told her some of the truth about Macaria, which was confirmed by Constanza, Abigail and Diego. Fausto is smart, and now if Macaria decides to get back at him by telling Renata ANY truth about him, Renata won't believe anything coming from her.

I havent watched the episode yet but thank you for your highlights Jardinera! I did catch the "Abi holding Luc at gunpoint" scene though ,i was like wow what damn courage is that! We only see braveness like that in Telemundo , if she only pulled the trigger. I have never seen a main female protangoist killing someone in cold ( But hurt) blood though , are there any novelas like that?

By the way i have posted my full recap for episode 57 for you people and you should definetly number your episodes cause for a user its a tough experience to find episodes without them being numbered although I know that i messed up the episode somewhere along episode 50 but i will inform Jane about tit so she can fix it.

Renata still blind & doesn't even know she's being played again & again.

Fausto is upping the ante closer to Pinochet!

So much going on in this episode. I missed Wednesday, and it seemed like I missed a lot!

Toño and Julio getting face to face is interesting. Apparently Toño is the spitting image of his birth mother.

Abi walking in on Lucio and Mac was bizarre! I'm surprised she didn't fall to the ground screaming, "My eyes! My eyes!" Lucio strategically had boxers on, thank goodness, when he got out of that bed. And then Mac just leaves Lucio there with Abi pointing a gun at him. But Abi sure was defending her friend. Lucio went into his kicked dog stance when Abi mentioned his crime against Teodora.

I laughed when Mat came walking up to overhear Diego's proposal to Abi. A conversation isn't worth having unless somebody else is listening. Of course the marriage will never happen, because although Mat can be with anybody and their brother or sister, Abi must remain virginal, even not marrying, until she can be with Mat.

It's so satisfying to see Renata learning the truth about Mac. And Diego didn't hold back when he said, "I did try to tell you, but you wouldn't listen." I guess she couldn't face the truth that she had given her daughter to somebody abusive. Well now she has to face it, and Abi has been the one to pay for it.

Mac is so unattractive with her downturned mouth. What she said to Abi about Mat and Diego being the equivalent of Fausto and Lucio was scarily accurate. Mac has been ill-used by Fausto, but she keeps going back for more, in the name of "love." And so she thinks that's how all love is. I like that even though Abi is impacted by what Mac says, she doesn't get lost in it.
