TELEMUNDO Y MÁS: EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS 3, TIERRA DE REYES, AVENIDA BRASIL, etc – week of April 27, 2015
Labels: avenida, cielos, duenos, telemundo, tierra
Hi this show has a lot of confusing characters so I thought I would make a who is who
Aurellio Casillas- called el senor de los cielos. the de fact head of the casillas cartel. formerly the most powerful drug world. currently a fugitive
Victor Casillas jr- the son of victor chacorta casillas. reluctantly takes the lead of the Casillas cartel.
Rutila Casillas- daughter of casillas. is involved in the drug trade.
Dona Alba- mother to aurellio. grandmother to rutila and victor
Irma casillas- wife of the dead victor chacorta. from venezuela
Jesus maria venegas- el chema, the most powerful drug lord, centered in juarez. had a son with ruti enemy of victor
leonor vallesteros- dea agent l, worst enemy of the casillas. from ccolombia.
General Rivera- a member of the mexican marine, head of the anti narcotic effort
Monica robles- formerly head of the powerful robles cartel based in mexico city, a son with casillas, now part of their group
president valentin - president of the nation wants to have wife replace him as pres. in favor of co operating with the gringos
mininster enrique- of war hopes to repalce the pres, want to go war with the mafias
el jabi- known as el super jabi comander ofnthe colombian rebels working with the iranians to smuggle uranium
Marcado- formerly a colonel in mexican marines trained by the gringos, deserted and now heads a paramilitary death group
jamir salaam- el arab though this is incorrect because he is iranian and they are percians in charge of.moving uranium to the us
I got back from Colorado last week, but only yesterday managed to watch the last two episodes. My DVR has smoke coming out of the back since I also had recorded Game of Thrones and Señor Ávila.
I miss you all! It was such bad timing to have gone to Colorado during the last week and even getting back late on the day of the final.
I was fairly satisfied with how the novela turned out. I simply can't hate Anastasia. And I LOVED her kissing Renato in the last scene.
It bugged me no end that Leandro got away, not to mention Iggy living. I was waiting and waiting for him to get killed. But I guess the writer's point was that, for him, being unable to have sex and to live was a worse fate.
I never liked Gina, so shed no tears about her fate. Does this make me a monster?
I was not best pleased with how things turned out for Érika. She was just a sweet person all the way through. I guess she'll have the memories of her tender lovemaking with the man she loved to tide her over. I can't believe her sentence would be so very long. But it will seem longer if she ends up in the same cell with Irene for the duration!
I hope to get on board with this one, but it may take a while. I have 7 episodes on my poor, overworked DVR. When I left off, our little protagonist had just been left at the dump by Carminha's boyfriend. So I'm sure I don't have all the episodes and will be very grateful to read the recaps Jean has done!
Novelera- you are in for a treat! I'm really enjoying this so far.
Can't wait to see what happens this week.
~ Wee Rita
Novelera--I'm with Wee Rita. It's the first one I watch every night on my saved DVRs. Jorgito is certainly coming through as one of the good guys.
Just be sure to keep your list of characters handy. It takes time to peg each one and their personalities.
Nilo handed us a surprise last night, no?
Thank you for the "who's who". I was confused about some of the characters, especially tbe army officers.
Good job!!

Yair, Tessalia's nasty boyfriend, is holding her at knifepoint when Leleco bursts into the room. Leleco hits Yair but he is younger and stronger and starts the smack down on Leleco. Tessa takes a vase, smashes it on Yair's head. He falls backward, goes right over the balcony and falls to the road below. Leleco and Tessa think he's dead, but he's alive and can't feel his legs. Yair accuses them of trying to kill him, the cops hear this. Tessa denies it but the cop jumps to conclusions about what happened based on Leleco's and Tessalia's ages. Leleco ends up in jail. Later, Muricy calls Leleco's cell asking where he is, but he doesn't want her to know he is in jail and with the help of Monalisa et al makes up a story about being out of town and having car trouble. Finally, Leleco resorts to pretending to lose the cell signal. Muricy is convinced that Leleco is cheating on her.
Nilo goes ballistic on his kids about the quality of the food they prepared. The kids fight back and Nilo's TV ends up broken. He rants and raves and chases the kids all over the tirodero. He finally gives up and hitches a ride on a garbage truck. He's got a plan.
Muricy goes to Diogenes' bar looking for Leleco. Monalisa and the gang follow Leleco's story and tells Muricy that he is out of town scouting potential football players. Adauto follows Muricy and tells her that he doesn't approve of lying and that Leleco is in jail. She goes there and accuses Tessa of being Leleco's amante. Tessa sets her straight about how Leleco is a gentleman and saved her, but Muricy is all about the cheating Leleco.
Nilo ends up drunk at Carmina's house and somehow gets inside the gate. He jumps in the pool. Janaina thinks the dog is in the pool and tries to chase him out with the broom, but when she sees that it is a man, goes and gets Carmina. Carmina's expression when she sees Nilo in the pool was priceless. Nilo loudly calls Carmina his goddaughter. Max tells the family that Nilo is Carmina's godfather who has fallen into alcoholism. He's invited in to eat by Tifon. He goes in the kitchen with Carmina and Max and enjoys some food while giving them hell. Nina is listening behind a door to all that is said.
Nilo reveals that he is Max's father. He wants a piece of what Max and Carmina have. Carmina gives Nilo her expensive watch and 500 reals. Carmina tells him that's all he gets and to never come back. Yeah, that's gonna work. He is full of his good meal and is about to go, when he says he has some really good info for them (it's about Rita/Nina) but they don't know that. He wants 200 reals more, but they aren't buying. He goes and Nina breathes a sigh of relief he didn't out her.
Last episode, Max convinced Tifón to do some kind of charity appearance. Tifón is suspicious about what payments might have been made for this. Last night he tells the head of the group that he thinks that the payment was too low. The guy responds with a much higher payment having been made. Max claims that he would have split the money with Tifón. Tifón is disgusted and leaves.
Tifón gets Leleco gets out of jail on bail. He comes home and Muricy reads him the riot act about having an amante in front of the whole family. He's so sick of her jealousy, he tells her, you want a divorce, give me the papers, I'll sign on the dotted line. Muricy thinks that she may have gone too far.
Jorgito is at his fiancé's Débora's place with her parents, Carlos Eduardo and Veronica. Débora is making dinner and Veronica is helping her. CE tells Jorgito that once he gets married, he will have to give up relationships with other women. Débora's dinner turns out badly so they order pizza. Jorgito flashes back to Nina saving his life and doesn't hear Débora asking him what toppings he wants on his pizza.
Nilo takes his ill gotten gains and goes to a bar and orders wine and beer. The waiter doesn't want to serve him cause of the clothes and general state he is in, but stupid Nilo flashes the cash at the waiter, and another guy at the bar sees and keeps an eye on Nilo. Later, Nilo staggers out of the restaurant drunk and that guy follows.
Carmina decides to go to Jorgito's place and make lunch for him. She orders Nina to go with her. They go shopping first. Carmina is trying on lingerie and five finger discounts something. Nina sees it and can't believe it. Carmina goes and pays for everything except the piece she stuffed into her purse. As Nina and Carmina leave the store, the alarm goes off and Carmina thinks its absurd it should be going off, she's rich after all. The security guard isn't buying it and wants to look in her bag. She is loudly protesting when Nina says she did it. She stuffed something in Carmina's purse.
Carmina gets Nina off and they go to Jorgito's place. He comes home and is furious that Carmina has invaded his private space. She decides to leave but leaves Nina there to make lunch for Jorgito.
Many thanks, Jean, for another skillfully blended recap.
I realize that Rita/Nina is trying to get Carmina to like her a lot and be grateful to her, but I really wonder whether she had to go as far as she did last night, confessing to a shoplifting that Carmina did. That seems a bit too over the top, something that would normally trigger Carmina's impressive BS detector. I guess the one thing that makes it a bit plausible is Carmina's embarrassment. That emotion might overpower her BS detector. Still....
I'm looking forward to tonight's episode, with Nina and Jorgito together by themselves.
Thank you, Jean. I agree with Juanita. And you corrected some of the mistakes in the original recap. I was pretty sure I heard Nilo say he was Max's pa.
Novelera, welcome back. I couldn’t shed a tear for Gina. She was such an opportunist. She boinked two father and son pairs (one at a time of course, cause she’s no zorra). But Renato having her put in the fire finally turned me against him and Anas.
I'm guessing Érika survives prison and goes on to make a comeback with Russ Meyer’s troupe. I can see Sergio exploiting her story and making a hot dame behind bars flick.
Anom, thanks for the list. Much appreciated!! Why are the Iranians trying to get the explosives over to the U.S.?
Oh, and who is the guy (from US) wanting to collaborate with AC to track down the Iranians?
-VRO
thanks VRO
The guy that wants to work with aurelio is called tim he is a CIA agent in mexico
And about the iranian its unclear but its alluded that its for an attack
Had to laugh at the way Carmina kept saying "I'm rich,I'm rich! why would I steal?"
Can't wait for tonight

I think we're all just going to have to agree that Monday isn't my night
I barely caught dribs and drabs here and there between being called away every 5 min.
So anybody who knows what happened in between, spreading the news about the Gen and Rocio puking, and Caye complaining that everybody's out to get her
,and could tell me about it would be awesome

Thanks, anon, for all the updates. I've been watching with half an eye. I'm curious about some of the characters having watched the last couple seasons, but lost interest when Leo and Aurelio had sex. He raped her! Or threatened that he would if she didn't give in. She hates him. I would've given this a pass if it were to get the upper hand, but nope. Just sex. Very disappointing. As is Victor coming into the fold, although if he didn't, there'd be no point in having him there. Irma should just get out, except she might be someone to actually care about. If she goes, then what?
Kelly
thanks kelly.its always niece to now someone reads the reviews, i agree casillas raped.her the way telemundo played out that scene as romantic was disturbing, i think victor is trying to rise in the.cartel with the help of big vulture and he is.gonna.use irma aa cover, i feel.this season has.potential with all the different factions
I agree with Niecie in MD about putting Gina in the fire. Even though she's no saint, I don't think she deserved to die like that. They could have used another body or knocked her unconscious before putting in the fire so she wouldn't be awake to see what was happening to her. That was just horrible.
Tierra
Just when I'm getting over Granda Mati's death on "Que Pobres Tan Ricos" now they're going to kill off Grandpa Felipe. I really hope he makes a miraculous recovery because the show wouldn't be the same without him. I love the way he can see right through Leonardo and know he's bad news. And he doesn't hesitate to say so either.
We open with a replay of Carmina leaving Nina alone with Jorgito in his apartment. Jorgito says how he cannot stand Carmina and speculates that Nina was well brought up. He asks about her mother. Nina replies that her mother is sick but she was raised by a horrible stepmother. “Madastra es malastra,” says Jorgito, apparently a saying that is a pun on the word for a stepmother and the word for “bad,” “mala.”
Nina can’t make quiche (they pronounce the French work phonetically, “KEE chay”) without eggs so Nina goes next door to borrow some eggs and a bottle of wine.
Suelen comes to Diogenes’ store, says that she wants to buy a dress and needs Leandro’s help to try it on. In the dressing room, a bug-eyed Leandro watches Suelen try on the dress while gnawing on his finger. Suelen tells him that she wants to out with him that night.
Just like the way the characters get across Rio, which has some of the worst traffic in the world, in record time, the quiche is done in the blink of an eye, either that or Nina and Jorgito have been chatting for 45 minutes or so.
Nina serves Jorgito the quiche. He wants her to sit down and eat with him. She says that she has to leave. It has started to pour down with rain. Nina leaves. Jorgito follows her with an umbrella.
He protects her from the water splashed by a car going through a puddle and they end up close together. Jorgito says that he recognizes her perfume. They almost kiss. Nina pulls away and says that she doesn’t want to be near him. She gets on a bus and has a flashback to leaving the tiradero with her adoptive parents.
When Jorgito returns to the apartment, Débora is there eating the quiche. She reminds Jorgito that he gave her a key to the apartment. She asks where he got the delicious quiche. Jorgito replies that he bought it at the bakery but Débora knows that it is homemade. Jorgito admits that Nina made it and Débora asks why he told her it was from a bakery.
Jorgito stammers and then says that he thought that she might be jealous of Nina being there. “Do I have a reason to be jealous?” asks Débora. Jorgito mumbles something about women always being jealous and Débora climbs in his lap and says that she isn’t jealous while Jorgito flashes back to being close to Nina in the rain.
Nina is back at Carmina’s house. She brings Carmina chicken soup on a tray and lays on the compliments about what wonderful person Carmina is – loved and respected by her family and the community. Carmina laps it up and tells Nina that she needs to have someone to talk to who listens to her. Her family just want to talk themselves. Nina replies that she has been told that she would have been a good psychologist. When Carmina complains of neck pain, Nina offers to give her a massage.
On their date, Suelen tells Leandro that she wants to have sex with him at his place. The bobo sneaks Suelen past Roni and Diogenes washing the dishes. They have sex and Leandro goes to take a shower. We see purpose of this whole charade. Suelen goes to find the pictures that Roni took out of her place. She finds them torn up in the kitchen garbage can.
First Roni and then Diogenes catch Leandro with Suelen. They throw her out of the house. Then Roni asks Diogenes what he did with the pictures. Roni rummages through the garbage can but the pictures are gone.
Monalisa, Olenka, Iran and Tessalia are having coffee. Monalisa says how brave Leleco was to attack Yair. Tessalia tells Olenka that she is going back home to Macacu. She doesn’t want a modeling career. She just wants to have a family and settle down. Monalisa understands. She will throw a farewell party for Tessalia. Tessalia wants Leleco to be invited so that she can say goodbye to him.
Leleco is at the bar with Silas and Adauto. He complains of back pain because Muricy locked him out of their bedroom and he had to sleep on the couch. Leleco blames Adauto for getting him into trouble with Muricy.
Suelen shows up at the store the next day and demands money from Diogenes or she will reveal the photos. Leandro gives her money. Suelen says that will satisfy her for today but she will be back for more tomorrow.
Olenka comes to the bar and invites Leleco and Silas to the farewell party for Tessalia. Leleco decides that he can go for a little while. The barman, Valentin, tells Adauto who was out of earshot, about the party and the invite to Leleco.
Muricy has a tutor teaching her some English phrases like, “How much?” and “Where is the fashion mall” for an up-coming trip to Miami. Jorgito shows up and announces that he wants to stay for the dinner that Nina will cook. Nina comes in with a tea tray, sees Jorgito there and drops the tray.
Zezé tells Muricy that Adauto wants to speak to her but won’t come in. Muricy goes out to see him and he tells her about Leleco attending the party. She immediately goes off to Monalisa’s place.
Jorgito helps Nina clean up the broken teaset. As he is putting something in the trash, he looks into Nina’s room and sees a doll on the floor. He looks at the doll and flashes back to when Batata and Rita played house and the doll and a teddy bear represented their children.
Nina tells Carmina that the reason she dropped the tray was because she got bad news from her mother’s doctor. Carmina gives her permission to go to the hospital.
Leleco comes to the party. Tessalia tells him that he is the nicest, most gentlemanlike man she has met and that she is head over heels in love with him. Leleco replies that it is a pity but one of his defects is that he is faithful. If he weren't married, he would be the happiest man in the world.
Muricy crashes the party, tells Leleco that he can have his “amante.” It is over between them but she won’t take him back.
Nina has asked Mama Lucinda to meet her at a café. She tells Mama Lucinda that her plan of vengeance is going well. She has gotten Carmina’s confidence and everyone in the house, including Max, likes her but she is so in love with Jorgito that she can’t stand to be near him. She asks for ML’s help. She knows Jorgito has a fianceé. ML says that is why she wanted Nina to go back to Argentina. Nina replies that she will never go back.
Jorgito goes to the tiradero looking for Mama Lucinda but the kids tell him that she isn’t there. She left to meet with a woman. Jorgito guesses that it is Nina and asks about her. The kids confirm that she used to live in the tiradero and is also known as Rita. One kid shows him a picture of Nina as a child and Jorgito is impactado as he recognizes Rita.
Great job once again, Jean! I smiled as I read "Just like the way the characters get across Rio, which has some of the worst traffic in the world, in record time, the quiche is done in the blink of an eye." One of the first times I encountered this phenomenon was in "El Clon," where characters traveled back and forth between Florida and Morocco at almost the speed of light (OK, perhaps the speed of sound rather than light).
I was struck by the look on Nina's face as she stood behind Carmina to give her a massage. Her look made me half expect her to strangle Carmina, but then I realized that the novela wasn't close enough to the end for something like that to happen.
I keep waiting for Carmina's BS detector to start working again, as Nina lays on the compliments thick and fast, but Carmina just laps them up.
I was a bit surprised when the scene when Carmina left Nina alone at Jorgito's didn't produce The Recognition. I guess we'll get that tonight; at least, I hope so, since now both of them know who the other is.
Thank you, Jean, for taking this on single-handedly while we sit back and enjoy the handiwork.
Although we only got a fleeting glimpse of the picture of Nina/Rita Jorgito was shown when he went to the Tiradero, I thought it was the adult Nina/Rita. She's in the center of the photo with Mama Lu's new children she met on her first trip to the Tiradero.
Of course Jorgito would have recognized the little Rita picture, he had one of those himself, on their "wedding" day.
Jorgito was trying to put the adult Nina with the doll--a servant in his mother's house--with an adult Rita, which the kids assured him she was formerly named Rita.
Juanita--Much as I would like Jorgito to tell Nina he knows who she is, it's too early. He's going to be terribly conflicted as it is--Deborah in the flesh..Rita in memory..Deborah in the flesh..Rita in memory.
Before he reveals he knows who she is, if he's smart, he'll try to find out why she's doing this. Why she seems to like Carminha so much when she hated her as a child. It's obvious something drew him to notice her and thereby hangs their tale.
We've had a similar issue on Quiero Amarte, where the main couple, madly in love with each other and preparing to marry get separated -- by the novia herself when she decides to bring to justice her novio's own evil, killer mother, a difficult decision. She's sure their long-term relationship would be forever clouded by her actions. There's more, but it's a whole different novela.
Good point, Anita, about Jorgito first trying to find out what Nina/Rita is up to and why she seems to like Carmina so much. Though I doubt he'd be able to do that without first being honest with her and letting her know that he knows she's Rita. And yes, his relationship with Débora certainly does complicate things. I keep trying to figure out how the writers are going to solve that. Short of killing her off in an accident, I've got no idea.
Since Debora works for one of those Cirque du Soleil type dealios, maybe she'll be paralyzed in an accident, como Greta in Reina de Corazones! I hope not, though, I like her.
I really like Mona Lisa, and hope she ends up back with Tifon.
The Leleco storyline is hilarious. I'm convinced the actor playing Leleco wrote this in himself! A preternaturally beautiful teenage (?age 21 at most) girl is going to fall madly in love with a singlet-wearing, Dr-Phil-haired old gambler, hahaha.
I'm loving Muricy's spider necklace.
~ Wee Rita
Thanks, Anita. I am sure that you are right and the picture Jorgito was shown in the tiradero was of the adult Nina/Rita, not the child.
I am at a disadvantage because I know what is going to happen but it is already obvious that Nina and Jorgito are tremendously attracted to one another physically. This was true for Jorgito even before he found out that Nina is his childhood sweetheart, Rita.
How would Jorgito know that Carminha was Rita's detested step-mother when she was a girl?
~ Wee Rita
I totally agree about Grandpa Felipe. I'm also hoping for a miracle which was hinted at last night. Hopefully
his hand movement was not just a muscle spasm which
I THINK I've heard can happen with his condition.
Pablo's such a sweet guy that I can't imagine how he's going to do right by Rocio and still be with Vero. Personally, I wouldn't want to be with someone who
loved someone else. AnonGringa
Don't worry. We know that you'll catch up when you
can. We appreciate whateaver you're able to do. Eagerly awaiting your next recap.
AnonGringa
Jean--Thank you for trying not to give anything away. We love speculating and seeing how close we get to the actual truth.
Wee Rita--You got me on that one. Max came to the tiradero once and Rita saw him talking to Nilo. She got scared. Batata had either already saved her from Nilo and took her to Mama Lu's or did so soon after. At some point, they probably talked and Rita told him about Genesio and her evil stepmother. Can't remember if it was on-screen or not. Whether Rita gave him her name is in question. Carminha is not that common. But Batata certainly knew who Max was at the time he was adopted by Carminha and Tifon.
Jean--Maybe you can help us out with PAST history.
Mexico city

Wee Rita- Jorgito doesn't know that Carmina was Rita's step mom. They were talking about each other's horrible step moms.
Thanks, Jean. That was rather recent. I was thinking maybe the name had come up when they were children. Well, more mysteries to be solved.
I think I see your point, Anita. When she was in the tiradero, Rita certainly told Mama Lucinda about her evil stepmother, Carmina, and that she had a boyfriend, Max. We don't know if she told this to Batata. Maybe the tiradero children didn't discuss their former lives. Or maybe she did talk about how she ended up in the tiradero but didn't call Carmina by name. Whatever. When Batata is adopted by a Carmina with a "friend," Max, he clearly never makes the connection with Rita's family.
I will do a recap later. There is no hurry since AB is pre-empted tonight.
Thank you for continuing the informative, enjoyable
recaps.
Do you get the feeling that they're going to
try to reform Aurelio A BIT? Last night I kind of got
that feeling from Leo's conversation, but with my
very limited Spanish, I'm not sure.

I loved the scene where Sophia let Arturo hold the

Anon Gringa - I so don't know if you're using chicas fresas correctly, I only sort of know what it means, but I think Caye and M might be a little old to be chicas fresas
re Rocio I really don't get her thought processes - how does she think this is going to end in a win for her?
The week so far (based on what I actually saw - several parts missing )
Mon
The news about the General is spreading - everybody is sad
Rocio has morning sickness
Vero's mom freaks out at Pablo innocuously bringing Caye her clothes & stuff
Leo taunts Vero & Pablo some more and orders Pablo back to the ranch - and stay there till you have to pick the girls up at the airport
After Vero leaves Leo muses that he will bring her low (yeah 'cause he doesn't already have enough other people to plot against)
Ok quick list of the people Leo is plotting against
Valverde
Cayetana
The General
Sophia
Her sisters
Arturo
The other two
Vero
Pablo
anyone else I might have forgotten
List of Leo's friends
Matamoros
The stripper who looks like Sophia?
Ok back to recap
Cande is on a guilt trip about the General's collapse, and Pati of all people talks sense to her, telling her its not her fault
Matamoros is pissed at Pati and she will seduce him into a better mood
Sole goes to the hospital to see the General - Caye and Vero's mom rip into her and won't let her see him
Because Sam was at El P when her father collapsed, Caye assumes he encouraged the General to drink overly because he hates *her* and is out to get her. Apparently because Sole is on the boys' side Caye hates her now too and blames her for everything they get blamed for.
And that's all I saw of Monday
Tuesday
Valverde goes to the hospital.
Caye demands to know what he's doing there, he says hey I'm a person too, I have feelings.
Caye follows up threatening to sue El P - which he owns- and Sam -who he is doing business with- for what happened to her father.
Leo slides in and chides Valverde for chasing after Caye when she has rejected him and chosen Leo.
Valverde basically says - if you wanted it you should have put a ring on it, so far as he is concerned its still open season.
Leo mutters about getting rid of Valverde
Sole tells Rocio (bad choice of confidant IMO) all about how Vero is her daughter and makes the same old lame excuses for not telling Vero.
The doc tells Caye that her dad is brain dead and TX law considers him dead dead so they have to unplug him after the girls get there.
Caye sits at her father's bedside and tells him that she won't cry because he taught her joy, and asks his forgiveness, and reminisces about how he always told her stories about battles and heroes, and he is her hero and the best man she has ever known, and she loves him (I don't like her, but she touched my heart. The General has to recover! He's her only hope of becoming a decent human being)
The boys do business
Pablo rides up and wants to talk to Flavio about Vero
No punches this time and they're buds again
Pablo agrees to tell Irina when she gets back that there's nothing going on between Flavio & Vero
Valverde & hija are having a business meeting and I zoned out but Sam walks in wearing a jacket over a vaguely flesh toned shirt so that @ first I thought he wasn't wearing anything under the jacket (tacky)
They want Sam to sign something binding on the BoB w/o reading it or letting the other shareholders see it.
Sam says sorry I can't, but hey I'll show it at the next board meeting no probs, but their faces say probs.
@ El P
Cande is still agonizing over the General's collapse.
Pati wants Matamoros to rot in he__ 'cause he foiling all her plans
As Pati is singing later Matamoros and his 2nd discuss his jealousy and the fact that Sam is untouchable now due to his business relationship w/Valverde
Tues part 2
@the hospital
As Caye cries for her father, Leo tells her she has to be strong now for everyone. Right on cue the girls arrive w/baby(why would you take a baby to the hospital if he wasn't sick?)
Caye gives them the bad news
Sophia says they will get a court order to give them more time before they have to pull the plug, and the girls go in to talk to the General
As they are sitting around his bed talking to and about him, their Abuelo mentally recites a poem - or maybe its the girls remembering him reciting (I'm hoping for the former so that he will wake up)
The girls want to know how this happened and Caye blames Cande and Sam. Andrea looks stricken
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Pablo wants to know if Rocio went to the doctor. She says she doesn't need to now, she's feeling better than ever, and gives him the baby news.
Isn't it great! His face and the backround music say not so much and she picks up on it. He tries the I'm just so surprised line, but she looks doubtful.
Rancho Bea
Sole has packed and is sneaking out of the house, thinking to herself that she has to leave, she can't keep lying to the boys. Art catches her and tells her she can't leave them like this.
Flavio asks what they ever did to her to make her leave them like this
The boys say she's like a mother to them and Sole replies that she can't occupy that place, she has no right to because she hurt their mother a lot when she (the mother) was alive, and she (Sole) doesn't deserve their love.
Arturo (swift for once ) asks if she was the woman their father fell in love with. She tells them she also fell in love with him too, and that's why she helped them when they showed up @ the Del J ranch.
Art asks if she loved him so much why she left him when hi was willing to get a divorce to be w/her.
She tells them their mom asked her to and gave her their pic.
Then they ask why she kept their sister from them, and she tries to cover - what sister? -you mean Alma? - but they tell her they already know Vero is their sis.
Sole tells the sad story - she was broke and alone @ 18 and Caye said she'd give her a job as long as she gave her her daughter. She had no other choice, she didn't want her baby to starve.
The boys cuddle Sole and tell her she is worthy of their love (Does this officially make them the lets keep a secret from Vero club?)
The boys head to the hospital to find the girls. The one boy not looking for a girl gets found by Andrea who he was not at all looking for. She blames him for getting her Aubelo drunk- he tells her how it really was and to nobody's surprise, she doesn't believe him.
Irina is in the chapel. She doesn't remember any prayers but begs God not to let her Abuelo die.
Flavio seconds her from the doorway and when she turns around salutes her in French.
They share a deep comforting hug until Irina remembers she's supposed to be mad at him. She yells at him again about Vero and once more he misseds the chance to tell her why he's so close to Vero. Instead, he puts his foot in it, telling her about the PI, which she characterizes as stalking.
Sophia is crying at her Abuelo's bedside whaen his hand moves- she calls the doctor in who says he's not waking up and goes out.
Vero's mom arrives to coo over the baby and she and Caye leave the baby alone for half a minute to get coffee and Art who is lurking creepily around the corner, creeps in and picks up the baby.
Caye turns back around, freaks out, and tries to take the baby back, but he won't give it.
Wednesday part 1
Caye calls hospital security and tells them Art is some weirdo who is trying to kidnap her nieto.
Art is hanging on to that kid for dear life and telling them he's the father. Caye says the baby has my last name not his take it away from him. And they do.
Art says the mom has to be around here somewhere ask her who the father is she'll tell you, and he is this close to losing it when Sophia walks around the corner. He asks her to tell them I'm his father, and she does and they let him go and say maybe you should find a better place than the hospital to work out your family disputes.
Sophia says she wants to talk to Art alone
Flavio & Irina are fighting, again. Irina threatens to divorce Flavio. Flavio threatens to sue Irina for dereliction to marital duties. ect ect
Flavio swears to Irina that she is the only woman in his life and just as she's seems about to go for it, along comes some chick calling Flavio by a pet name. Irina blows up and runs off. Flavio tries to explain to this chick that he's married now, but even that doesn't put her off so Sam fakes sick.
Sophia hands the baby back to Art and tells him the baby's name (poor kid)
Art tells Sophia about the PI and gets a much better reaction than Flavio got from Irina.
She still makes him leave but not before he kisses her on the forehead
Caye is losing it, pacing back and forth and insisting that Art is not the father (Maury could clear that up for you if you wanted)
She will never allow Art to see the baby at her house, much less is Sophia going to share the baby w/him.
The doc comes in looking for Sophia to tell her that the General's hand movement was just an involuntary reflex and he's still brain dead and they're still going to disconnect him tomorrow.
The boys aren't the only ones who can make crazy plans, Pati has one of her own. Sex up Matamoros so he'll let her stay in Houston so she can win Sam back, then Sam will protect her from Matamoros' wrath. .
Valverde really thought Sam would just sign w/o reading or conferring w/the other shareholders. Not to worry he has some other cunning plan and says Sam is just like his dear old dad, everything by the book
The girls get home and Sophia finds out Caye had the cradle Art made for his son thrown out and bought a shiny new one. Worst of all she has to find this out from Lurking Leo who also gives her the old your killing your mother bit.
No worries though, the staff saved and hid the cuna and Rocio will have it brought back.
Irina tells Pablo she was so homesick while she was gone she couldn't stand it but she doesn't know if she'll stay w/o Abuelo there. Pablo tries to tell her Flavio isn't w/Vero but gets interrupted by Rocio asking for the cuna.
Vero tells Dario about her one true love - Pablo- and offers to try to convince her mom to be more forthcoming w/his inheritance
Sole calls and talks to Sophia who tells her they're going to have to unplug the General tomorrow. Sole says she hasn't been able to see him because of Caye
Sophia will work it out so she can see him 1st thing tomorrow.
Weds part 2
Rocio tells Andrea that Sam is now Houston's most eligible batchelor. Andrea isn't impressed - she knew him when he was just a dirty and disgusting fake housebuilder
Meanwhile Sam is thinking about Andrea when Sole interrupts his thoughts to tell him about her trip to the hospital tomorrow. He asks her what Andrea is like. When she asks if he's interested in Andrea he say noooo, he just wants to know how to deal w/her w/o a fight breaking out. Sole says a lot of contradictory things about Andrea and her personality traits/defects but finishes up with - all that toughness is just a cover, because underneath she is sensitive and she's trying to protect herself.
Sam's not sure he can believe that.
@ home Vero & her mom talk about the hospital scene and Vero tries to sweeten her up w/a massage before broaching the subject of Dario and his inheritance.
Mom isn't having any - he will just have to find a girl and get married and that's final and she doesn't care if he loves her or not (Hey why don't Dario and Vero get married - that would solve everything! )(What, I can't come up w/a crazy plan? Everybody else is doing it)
Valverde goes to El P and says stuff (sorry I zoned out again, sorry)
Sophia promises her baby not to keep him from his father. The other two come in and they discuss Sole going to the hospital
The boys discuss Sole going to the hospital and then toast to the General
Leo tells Sidepiece all about his mis planes to marry Caye and push her dad out of the picture oh and btw Sophia & the baby are back in town.
Art & Flavio are talking about how Sam's doing a great job @ the BoB and how Sole's right in saying he will find a good woman to love pronto when in strolls Pati to their dismay and disdain.
Pablo is trying to tell Vero about the baby, but she gets him in a lip lock and then her mom catches them
Caye is @ the hospital pouring out her troubles to Leo who hisses condolences and platitudes
The girls walk in w/Sole right in front of her face like they don't know it will drive her nuts.
Caye goes into orbit.
the end
yay all caught up
anyone want to volunteer to recap Friday?
I don't know what my schedule will be like this weekend
Wow,girl!! (I'm assuming) You really did yeoman's work
today, I'm tired FOR YOU. Muchisimas gracias.
You answered so many questions for me.About the only one that I have left is ,was Sole a servant in the Gallardo
household?
Again, amazing job. AnonGringa
Monica's cousin wanted to sleep with her?? I missed that. No wonder she's so messed up. Some family she comes from.
I kinda forgot about Ernesto. Now he thinks he'll be a top dog because he's friends with Victorcito? He always was an idiot and Vic shouldn't trust him.
Should be interesting if Vic gets his hands on Turco's stash. How will that impact his relationship with Rutila who's been managing everything? His wife looks like the type to start trouble if she thinks her husband has all the power.
I can't see them reforming Aurelio at this point. He crossed that bridge in seasons 1 and 2, what will all the raping and killing. No way can he come back from that.
Kelly
your very welcome AnonGringa
I have to admit though, I'm relieved there was no ep Thursday :)
re Sole ; when Caye fired her the boys were in jail and Bea hired her at her ranch so she worked for Bea and so after Bea died she did work for the boys briefly but they fired her and sort of made her the lady of the house
Unless your wondering about her working for the boys' parents - then no I don't think so, in the beginning it sounded like she worked for Caye before she got pregnant, but what she just told the boys makes it sound like she didn't so I don't know where she was working but I'm pretty sure it wasn't @ los Gallardos since she first met the mom when she asked her(Sole) to break up w/her (the mom's) husband.
wow that ended up longer than I meant it to.
Just started watching, 'cause there is nothing else on at 10PM.
I'll catch up on the weekend. Whose head was that Aurelio received?
Woo Hoo!! The general's back. I was pretty sure he would be. I'm sure Leo's not too thrilled.
AnonGringa
I wanted to share with those fans of Tierra de Reyes.
Hospital
Cayetana reluctantly accepts that Soledad visits Don Felipe. During her visit, Don Felipe opens his eyes and the whole family is at his bedside. Andrea seems like a different person (her true self) next to her grandfather. They were planning on disconnecting him, but he made a speedy recovery. Once his breathing tube is removed, Andrea ask if this was all Samuel fault. DF tells the family that Samuel had tried to get him to stop drinking, offered him a ride home, and is an excellent man. Andrea seems proud of Samuel’s actions and ashamed of her previous confrontations with Samuel.

Sam’s brothers try to kick her out, but Sam wants to speak to Patty. She tells him that she will divorce Ulices to pursue their relationship. That he needs a better kind of woman in his life. She ignores him and tries to seduce Sam by removing her trench coat. She is wearing a leopard unitard underneath, but Sam is able to resist her. He goes to the ground and picks up her coat and tells her to leave his house.

marvybaby great recap thanks so much
I second the whoo hoo about the General's recovery but I think from now on I'm going w/DF (for Don Felipe) like marvybaby since that is so much shorter to type
That leopard print sex suit Pati had on was something else wasn't it, and I loved how she brings it out just as Sam's bros were wondering if they needed to go in and save him.
Thank you for the fine recap. I enjoyed reading it and am
so happy that Sneaky TS can take a breather.
You enlightened me about the fact that Pablo stood up for Vero. I don't see how she can continue to just take
those slaps. I'd leave for sure. Also, I didn't realize that
she said she'd take Pablo over her "mother".
AnonGringa
Thank you for the recap. Without you, I would have NO
idea what was going on with all the various wheeling and
dealing.
Isn't the actor who played el arabe the same one who played Rogue in Los Miserables? Things like that drive
me crazy until I find out. I noticed thats Rocio from Lo
Que is in a new novela also, but she looks really
different. AnonGringa
I will post a recap of Wed's episode later this morning and hopefully, Friday's episode this afternoon.
Jorgito is convinced by the kids at the tiradero that Nina is really Rita, his long-lost love. Jorgito is so overcome with emotion that he has totally forgotten that he and Débora were going to a movie. Débora keeps calling but naturally, Jorgito is not answering his phone.
Nina tells Mama Lucinda that she is having trouble controlling her feelings for Jorgito but she will do it to continue with her plan of vengeance against Carmina.
It’s dinner time at Tifón’s house. Since Nina isn’t there, Janaina made a stew for dinner. Carmina tells everyone that she gave permission to Nina to go visit her sick mother. The family is amazed and approving that Carmina has come around to liking Nina. As soon as Agatha asks where her grandparents are, Muricy comes in screaming for Tifón with Leleco in pursuit. Muricy demands that Leleco leave the house or she will. Based on the reactions of the family such screaming fights are not unusual for this couple. Muricy screams that she worked like a dog to support the family while her husband was a lazy bum but at least he was a faithful lazy bum.
Mama Lucinda returns to the tiradero and Jorgito asks why she has been lying to him about Nina. As when Nina asked the same question about Jorgito, MamaLu doesn’t really have an answer. She suggests that he ask Nina why she is working in his parents’ house. She says that Jorgito’s relationship with Rita is in the past – now he is with Débora. (Of course, this is just of the opposite of what she just told Nina – that she and Jorgito were soulmates.) Jorgito says that Rita is an important part of his past and they have a special relationship. He tells MamaLu that she isn’t God to make such decisions for him. Mama Lu asks him to forgive her.
Muricy tells the family that she will leave the house if Leleco stays. She leaves and the family decides to let her go and cool off.
Jorgito runs out of Mama Lucinda’s place into the tiradero. He runs into Nilo who gives him a bottle. Jorgito hesitates but then starts to drink.
Muricy goes to the local bar and Adauto is there. They play billiards. He tries to comfort her. The bar is closing. Adauto invites her to his apartment. They can have a glass of wine and Adauto will show her his collection of Divino football club stuff including pictures of Tifón that she hasn’t seen before. She leaves with Adauto.
Back at the house, Leleco is going on and on about how he didn’t do anything wrong. Carmina gives Max a signal - Rita sees. Max leaves the room and a few minutes later Carmina does the same. Nina follows. Max has gone into the sauna. Carmina joins him. Carmina wants Max to meet her at the cabin. Max says that he has to train Leandro. He is tired of just getting the crumbs from the family. Carmina pulls a gold watch from her cleavage and asks if it is crumbs. They kiss - Nina peeks through the door.
Veronica is having a party in her new apartment in the Zona Sur. She has invited Alexia and introduces her to Rui, her ENT and a bachelor. Carlos Eduardo comes in and is first concerned that Veronica has invited Alexia and then jealous that Alexia is chatting with Rui.
Adauto shows Muricy his Divino FC memorabilia. Muricy wants to leave but Adauto makes of a confession of love to her. He says that he has been in love with her since the first time he came over to her house as a boy and saw her cleavage. Muricy says that she is flattered but he is younger than her son. When she tries to leave, Adauto has has locked her in.
Nina is stroking Carmina big time, turning down her the sheets of her bed, saying that she thinks they were friends in another life. Carmina says that she wishes she had a daughter like Nina – educated, pretty and intelligent. Nina replies that Agatha is an enchanting girl. This gets Carmina to start on her inlaws. Even though they have tons of money, they still behave like street sellers ready to run from the police. Nina says that Carmina isn’t like that. It is evident that she “tuve de cuna,” which means “had a cradle.” I can’t find the exact expression in the dictionary but I assume that it means she came from a higher social level. Carmina goes on to complain about how she married a family, not only a man. She is about to confide something to Nina about her relationship with Tifón but stops. Another day, she says. She tells Nina that they are friends.
Nina wakes up in the night and has flashbacks to encounters with Jorgito/Batata in the present and past while Jorgito has the same while wandering around the tiradero drunk. He calls Rita’s name.
The next morning MamaLu and the kids go out looking for Jorgito and find him passed out in the trash. He wakes up later and Débora is there asking why he stood her up at the movies. She asks what is up with him. He tells Débora that he has to go to training.
MamaLu tries to call and warn Nina about Jorgito but she is working and doesn’t answer. Muricy has not returned to the house and everyone wonders where she is.
Débora drives Jorgito to the Divino Football Club. She says that he didn’t say a word the whole trip and asks what is going on with him. Jorgito answers that some problems from his past bothered him and he went to the tiradero to see MamaLu and got drunk. He apologizes to Débora. He doesn’t want to hurt her. He gets out of the car, waits until she is gone and goes, where else, to Tifón’s house.
Leleco, Tifón and Ivana go to the bar and the bartender, Valentín tells them that Muricy went home with Adauto.
At Adauto’s place, Muricy tells him that his love for her is absurd. Leleco bangs on the door and Adauto opens it. In comes Leleco followed by Tifón and Ivana. Leleco sees Muricy there and draws the obvious conclusion: “Tu volviste vagabunda, Muricy” he yells. “You’ve become a tramp!”
Nina is hanging up laundry when Jorgito (who must smell awful after being on a bender and spending the night among the garbage) comes up behind her and asks why she didn’t tell him that she is Rita.
Poor Jorgito, he seems to be bedeviled by all the women in his life--Carmina, MamaLu, Debora, Veronica and now Nina/Rita. I feel for him.
Ay de mi, hanging up the laundry--and then---and then--and then!
Jorgito surprises Nina in the laundry. He asks why she didn’t tell him that she is Rita. Nina claims that she was confused. Jorgito was with Débora… Jorgito asks why Nina is working in his parents’ house. Nina replies that she needed a job. Jorgito doesn’t believe her. Jorgito pulls Nina close to him. He says that he has waited so long for this. They kiss. Nina is worried about being discovered. Jorgito takes her to a different part of the house.
Now it’s Leleco’s turn to accuse Muricy of cheating on him. Muricy claims that she was kidnapped by Adauto. When Tifón tries to get Muricy and Leleco to go home and work out their problems in private, Leleco makes their fight more public by continuing to yell at Muricy in the middle of the street. Leleco and Muricy both say that their marriage is over. People are watching this scene from a bus.
Nilo is eating at Mama Lucinda’s. He tells her that his kids rebelled and stole all his food but he will get back at them. Nilo asks MamaLu what her “preferidos,” (Rita and Jorgito) would think if they found out she was… She throws him out of her place.
Jorgito asks Nina why she is here, at his parents’ house. Nina lies and says that she had to see him and now she has seen him. The place for their love was in the past. She is spending a little time in Rio and his family pays well… Jorgito replies that if she wants to continue working at his parents’ house, it’s time to tell the truth about who she is. Nina says, no, that would mess up his relationship with Débora. Jorgito replies that his relationship with Débora is already messed up. He asks if Nina should continue with a lie.
Nina starts to respond that it isn’t a lie but Carmina barges in asks who is lying about what. Jorgito replies that he was telling Nina about the plot of a move. Nina leaves to make dinner and Carmina quizzes Jorgito about what he thinks of Nina and if he is hiding something from her. Zeze interrupts with the news of the arrival of Leleco and Muricy.
Leleco continues to berate Muricy. Carmina tells Max that she is happy that they seem to have gotten rid of one of her obnoxious inlaws. Leleco has found the excuse he needs to go after Tessalia. He leaves the house with Tifón who is trying to make peace between his parents.
Leleco goes to Monalisa’s house to find Tessalia only to be told that she is about to get on a bus to leave town.
Monalisa encourages Leleco to follow his desires. Leleco catches Tessalia just as she is about to board the bus and proposes marriage to her. While the bus driver waits impatiently and the passengers, Tessalia accepts Leleco’s proposal.
After Leleco leaves, Monalisa tells Tifón that Leleco is like her. He acts on his desires, not like Tifón who accepts a “vida tibia,” “a lukewarm life.” Tifón tells Monalisa that she will regret this. She replies that she only regrets this that she didn’t do. She asks if Tifón regrets anything. He says that he regrets many things but not putting his family first. He says that Monalisa doesn’t have her own family so she doesn’t understand this. Monalisa is highly offended. Her family may not be like his but she has Iran and they love each other very much. Monalisa apologizes. Tifón says that Monalisa is a great businesswoman. He feels guilty for making so much money from her businesses with such a small investment. Monalisa replies that he believed in her. That was worth more to her than the money. Tifón says that they are business partners but he wants to be friends again. Monalisa replies that is impossible.
Suelen is being evicted from her apartment. The landlord suggests she could pay the rent in other ways. She refuses and leaves.
Diogenes and Leandro are watching a football game while Roni complains about the number of glasses he has washed for them and the dirty towels that they leave on the floor. Diogenes points out that they are living together so that they don’t have to have any women complaining about such things.
In comes Suelen. Diogenes asks her how much she wants for the pictures. She replies that she wants to stay with them for a few days. No room is available. When Suelen announces that she will sleep in Leandro’s room since he does a great foot massage, Roni says that he and Leandro will share a room and Suelen can have Leandro’s room.
Carlos Eduardo and Veronica come to see Débora perform with her “Cirque du Soleil” type troupe. Jorgito is late. Veronica is concerned about the problems of Débora’s “suburban.” CE tells her not to be prejudiced. Veronica replies that she isn’t prejudiced, Jorgito was raised in a landfill, sleepwalks, behaves erratically… Just then Jorgito arrives and CE and Veronica start to bicker about Rui and Alexia.
Nina comes to see MamaLu and asks what should she do now? She needs help. She still loves Jorgito. She tells MamaLu about the lie she told Jorgito about why she is working at his parents’ house. MamaLu says that things happen for a reason. She should take this opportunity to forget her plan of vengeance and be happy with Jorgito. Nina says that she can’t pretend that Carmina isn’t betraying Tifón with Max. She would have to tell this to Jorgito. MamaLu tells her to be careful.
CE and Veronica meet Alexia and Rui after the performance of Débora’s troupe. CE and Alexia exchange a few sarcastic remarks.
Jorgito is with Débora but is not paying any attention to what she says. He drives her back to her parents’ place. She wants to rent a movie and spend the evening with him. Jorgito claims that he is too tired. Débora is disappointed and keeps asking Jorgito what is going on with him but he claims it’s nothing.
After he drops Débora off, Jorgito goes to the tiradero. Nina hides. Jorgito comes in and says that he knows Nina is there. Nilo is listening from his house. Nina comes out to see Jorgito. MamaLu leaves them alone together in her bedroom. Jorgito tells Nina that it is special to find her in this house, their house when they were kids. They kiss.
We see Carmina and Max at a children’s center run by the Tifón Foundation. Carmina hands the priest a check for the latest donation to the project. Carmina makes a speech about helping children and Christian values. Cameras click.
Carmina and Max are having sex in their secret cabin. Max asks if Carmina is thinking about getting into politics in light of her speech at the children’s home. Carmina replies that politics is the best way for the rich to get power. Peevishly, Max asks when she is going to get rid of Tifón. He has been waiting a long time. Carmina reassures that him that the time will come soon. Max wants to know when. Tifón recently prevented him from padding the bill for the installation of a plasma TV.
Carmina pulls a wad of cash out of her cleavage. Max asks where she got it, “From the leche de criaturas,” (babies’ milk) replies Carmina. She is getting kickbacks from the priest for the donations of Tifón’s money that she makes. The money excites Max. He recalls the excitement of their first lovemaking at the tiradero. Carmina says that it is still the same.
AVENIDA BRASIL
Thanks. Really looking forward to this weeks episodes!
The Leleco/ Tessalia storyline is ridiculous, I'm sorry. Maybe if they had cast a really handsome older man, it wouldn't have seemed so unlikely. I guess Mona Lisa was encouraging it because of Muricy's snobbery toward her when she was engaged to Tifon for a hot minute way back when.
LOL at Jorgito smelling awful after his bender/night in the garbage. I had another thought when they were out in the rain and he grabbed Rita/Nina from being splashed by the big puddle when a vehicle went by. He said something like 'I recognize that scent.' Ummm...considering his Rita was a prepubescent girl living in the city dump at the time, I don't think that's a compliment! What eau de cologne smells of THAT.
