Quiero Amarte (Week 32-Apr 27) Highlights & Discussion

Please step into our voting booth. We invite you to select the size anvil for the characters who have done the most to derail the happiness of our main couples, Amaya/Max and Mariana/Iván. However, note this is not a secret ballot. If you wish to amplify your choices with comments, you are invited to do so.

There are four sizes:
1. Full-body size (FBS)—the character will not recover and most likely will serve time in a confined space (this could include a coffin, e.g. Horacio Espinoza)
2. Rib-crushing size (RCS)—the character will recover but will be disgraced (e.g. Constanza)
3. Leg-fracturing size (LFS)—the character will be inconvenienced for having been mean or aided and abetted a major antagonist (e.g. Becca)
4. Nail-breaking size (NBS)—the character is unaware they caused any harm or interfered (e.g. Vale at her snotty worst)

We know certain characters have tried to wreck the lives and plans of other characters (like Cesar did to Lucio and Manuel), but let’s stick to the main protagonists. Dig back into your memory banks and pull out some who may have faded into the mists on Mexican mountains.  Have Fun.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to circumstances beyond my control (and I'm looking at YOU, you, you LooneyTuneVision), I am required to watch Episode 153 in real time, then write the recap. Who knows what it will look like. I do know it will be posted late, probably sometime during Amores or Hasta.

Thank you Anita! Please do not worry about the recap. This is a volunteer gig and we all do it for free. Life comes first.

Oh, these are my examples, but I'll add more later.

1. FBS - Horacio, dead and buried, will only be missed by Vale for a little while.
2. RCS - Constanza, just because we don't really know what she's been up to regarding this baby. I don't think she's been totally honest with her father, Max or herself. Besides, she's so clingy she's making Max feel guilty pulling away from her. Prison for him (even temporarily, has helped her realize she may BE without Max for 20 years).
3. LFS - Becca, her first sin was to leave Hector and Ivan in the first place, without warning (or at least that's what I gathered). Her second sin was to move in with Cecy, knowing she was an unbalanced sort, showing symptoms of mental illness like her mother had. She was a moocher and a leech, even though she was recovering from an injury (purely coincidence it was her leg--if it indeed was a result of a horseback riding accident, then she was a blue ribbon moocher). At the first sign of Ivan's appearance she should have stopped feeling sorry for her fate and done the right thing.
4. NBS - Vale, only give her a mild touch of an anvil because she is still a child, but she was obnoxious to her mother when it was obvious Amaya and her father were having serious problems and Amaya wanted a separation. Vale insisted they stay together--or else and she turned on Max under the flimsiest of evidence.

Of course, these are all IMHO and surely I would add the likes of Cesar and Lucrecia up at the top of the list. Then there is Omar, who is not blameless. Neither is Efrain, nor Cipriano, nor Emma, although she was manipulated and became a victim.....well, I could go on, but I'd be hogging space.

My examples are the following:
1.) FBS: Cesar, Lucrecia, Uli, Cecy Goldilocks: because I HATE them for everything. Their vitriol is so bad, I can't even stomach it!

2.) RCS: Constanza because every single scene we've seen, she's either clinging to Max's arm, hands, or any other part of someone else.

She's turning into a STALKER!

3.) LFS: Becca: being in cohoots with Cecy Goldilocks to lock up Ivan in Cecy's house & torment him & Mariana was nauseating.

I still DON'T trust the woman!

4.) NBS: I'm still figuring out who to put on this list yet!

Thanks! :D

NINA: Mon. April 27th

FBS) cesar, cip, horacio, cip sometimes had these nasty conversations with Horacio about amaya like they were planning something against her. and Caesar was just down right slimmily nasty (if there's even such a word).

RCS) Uli, cecy, becca. these 3 people which is really sickening to me. and the fact that uli thought that he had to the right to have someone even though they never want to have anything to do with him, I find that repulsive. why waste your time trying to make someone want you when you know they don't.that is insanity.

LFS) constanza: she's just really annoying I really wish you'd just get out of the way and let max in amaya be happy. Amaya will make a really great step mom, max will be happy because he'll be with a woman he really loves, and everybody will be happy, and that little boy or girl will grow up around happy adults and he or she will grow up to be a pretty good decent human being. Of course that's not a sure thing cuz remember that little person will have some of Lucretia's DNA flowing through those little veins. But there's Papa Mauro's DNA Too, I wish them all the best.

N.

RCS- Jose. Only because I can't think of any good reason he deserves FBS.

HI, One and all,

This keeps getting lost; i'm going to post without caps. I was thinking about all of the people who have brought up or will bring up a non biological child:

1. the nurse and marco
2. eloisa and the montesinos
3. max and vale
4. jorge and alan
5. juli and alexa
6. dolores and marianna; i'm not counting cipriano
7. mauro and cesar
8. lucrecia and juli - unsuccessfully
9. cesar and vale - very poorly
10. chelo and ivan

we don't know about connie's baby yet. amaya could be raising that
child with max.

i am still hoping the baby is not
of max, but in any case, there is a strong precedent for this type of parenting.

re the anvils - nothing for vale;
i trust the writers will deal out harsh punishments for all who deserve them. life without parole is fine with me as long as it is foolproof.

Again i express my disappointment with the Uli and Ceci theme - complete waste of time, disgusting and boring all in one.

anahi just married the governor of chiapas of all places! people say her husband hopes to be president of mexico in the near future -- shades of Gaviota. Fascinating.

Floridia - may I join you at your table. We should have been done with Cecy and Uli. Basta ya.

Hey, I'll bring the food and drinks for the "Tired of Uli and Ceci" table! It is absolutely not needed! About the only good I could see it doing is giving the other actors a break.

Hey! I forgot Jose, no accent! RCS for him. I would wish for a FBS but I have some compassion for Manuel and Geno.

Jose IS and has been the RCS of Geno and Jose which they deserve for deceiving Manuel's late wife and Geno for "raising" such an insufferable brat that has graduated to a$$hole! The $$ is totally intended!

I'm guessing the writers are lining up early anvils for Ceci and Uli to whet our appetites for the real big anvils that will befall Lu and Cesar.

Those four are the only ones I really want big, giant anvils to fall on. Of course, Ceci and Uli aren't murderers, but it's basically a miracle that Ivan survived the beating Uli's men gave him, and I don't don't that Ceci would kill Marianna in a minute if she thought that would mean getting Ivan.

Next down on my list are Jose and Connie. I want an anvil for Jose because he is a snot who has been disrespectful to his parents and everyone, and still has no remorse for the danger he put pregnant Connie and Amaya in when his thug friends robbed the party. I don't want him to die, because that would destroy Geno (who has been a weak parent, but is a good person).

I really don't think Connie deserves and anvil, per se, but I want her to lose/let go of Max and build her own life, standing on her own two feet.

Vale has had an anvil far greater than the weight of her sins of brattiness fall on her, in the form of her beloved father dying. However, she doesn't know that she's getting a very good deal, with a step-dad (Max) 100 times better than her loser bio-dad.

Probably slightly off topic, but Flavia deserves a "Most Improved Student" award.

Typo: I don't doubt.

Floridia- Love the list of non-bio children. Did you mean Dolores and Amaya (not Mariana)?

Oh, yeah. Becky. Hmmm...Ivan is such a good guy that I'm sure she will be rewarded with a renewed relationship with him and her grandchild. Bummer. She doesn't deserve it. The anvil I would choose for her is for Hector to divorce her (I'm sure this will happen), and for Ivan to disown her (won't happen).

Sara- Yes. Flavia has indeed earned the most improved award. Bravo for her!!

She may be one of the characters I miss the most. I hope to see the actress again in some other novela.

For what it's worth - my DVR is showing one hour episodes next Thursday and Friday.

Also loved your bio/non-bio list, Floridia!!

Yes, Sara on Flavia! I am SO glad they lost that "I'm going to be a bitch to Mariana" schtick! That is sooo old! I don't think I've ever seen a character like her in a novela before! Very refreshing!

Hey can I get a Amen for step-daddy Max?!!LOL :-).
Vivi- you're right about Flavia, she has turned into a very sweet young woman. if her mother were normal she could be proud of her. And as for Ivan disowning his mother, I don't know. He seems like a very forgiving man, and maybe he should forgive her, besides, in some cases you only get one mother there priceless, maybe she'll change in the annals of Telenova land. well in the words of Reba (in the reverse) " I'm going to miss them when they're gone."

Nina

that pizza commercial that I saw with Christian in it, it's really a funny commercial, but that pizza is really creepy. With its little bikini on and pizza breast in the bra. but he looked like he was having fun. I know yall already talked about it but I just got a really good look at it today. Fun ad.:-)

Nina

First, I'm fine for a second half recap if it's all on Thursday.

And second, here's my anvil list:
FBS:
Horacio (because he's already dead)
Cesar and Lu (obviously)
Cip (also already dead)
Negro (I might have given him a teeny tiny pass to an RCS, but he's dead, so no)

RCS:
Jose (this would destroy Genoviva, but he's an unrepentant little brat who is still going out of his way to commit crimes and hurt his family. Plus he blames everyone else for his bad choices, and almost got his half-sister shot. No sympathy).
Uli (may not have murdered anyone yet, but he would, and he hasn't raped yet, but he would. Trying too hard to destroy Mariana and Ivan).
Ceci (also trying too hard to destroy other people, but if she turns out to be mentally ill, then I'd let her move down a notch).

LFS:
Photog (just doing his job, but he knows someone will get hurt).
Beca (no insane, knew Ivan needed help but still protected Ceci. She should be allowed to know him and the baby, but Chelo should be the favorite grandmother, just to annoy Beca).

NBS:
Manuel (turning both his kids into spoiled brats)
Geno (enabling Jose even after everything he's done)
Sal (complete jerk, but hasn't actually done anything illegal, just annoying)
Constanza (everything she does is annoying, but not so malicious compared to others above. But very, very annoying).

Kelly

Kelly: I believe the photographer will likely get away scot-free.

Ok all together now, "CONSTANZA IS ANNOYING."

Nina

Vivi

Thanks; correction noted.

Dolores and Amaya; don't know why but 3 times when I started writing dolores; everything disappeared.

Manuel is a great friend but lacking all around in the biological father role...spoiled one child and neglected the other.

thank you for the recap Anita. Anytime you put it up will be just fine sweetie.

Nina

I'd like to impose an anvil on the writers who came up with the U and C plot.

Did you see in the awards show last nite that "Don Mauro" was up for an award for Best Primer Actor. For some reason, that category took longer to decide and there was an agonizingly long wait. I think the winner came from Yo no creo en los hombres.

"Connie" won best actress for that same novela. Our beautiful theme was nominated but lost out to that of Mi corazon es tuyo ..in my opinion, no comparison...not romantic at all.

I'm hoping Jose gets an anvil so big, it hurts because both he & Costanzia are BORING!

Manuel is a TERRIBLE FATHER!!!!!!!

The awards actually took place early last month in Mexico, and there was some discussion on this blog. But, since they weren't aired in the US until last night, it's worth publishing the list of winners again. Two tns that have yet to air in the U.S., Yo No Creo en Los Hombres (for which both Adriana/Connie and Flavio/Cesar won awards), and El Color de la Pasion, had a lot of nominations and awards. Uni has confirmed prime-time airing of YNCELH and ECDLP for the summer. They still aren't sure exactly when though.

Sara- Let's hope they don't change their mind about that schedule.

As for the winner of the song-- I actually liked the Robo song better than the Quiero Amarte song. But neither won. Oh, well!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they stick to their word and they do it without editing anything else...because I can't figure out how they are going to manage TWO primetime premieres this summer.

PS: I actually like the QA song better than the Robo song. ;-)

Recap for Mon Apr 28 (Capitulo 153) Pt 1

Skipping the Old, on to the New

Hospital in Chiapas - Mauro suffers what seems like a cardiac arrest upon hearing from the TV in his room about Max’s upcoming sentencing (apparently there is no jury trial—just evidence before a judge, but not sure). No hospital personnel arrive even though his monitors change their beeps. He’s only saved by chance when Juli rushes back in because she forgot her purse. She sees Mauro in distress and calls for help. Marco and the DHN come in and she introduces some medication in his IV drip. Mauro immediately relaxes and breathes more evenly.

Outside his room, Marco tells Juli he almost suffered another heart attack but Mauro is stable now. Juli says they were lucky they were in the hospital and Marco was there. Marco won’t be able to release him now until he makes a full recovery. Juli says the news about Max is what affected him. There has always been something special between the two of them that he never had with Cesar—something Cesar was always jealous of.

Juli isn’t sure whether to continue with their Mis Planes right away. Marco says they should wait until he wakes up and then just ask him. When Mauro does wake up, Max’s name is on his lips. Juli is right there to calm him. Juli assures him that Max did not kill Horacio. Mauro wants to get up and leave that instant to go to aid Max. Juli says he can’t. Mauro then asks Juli to take a message to Max that his father loves him and to get the best lawyer possible. Juli tells him Manuel has already gotten a lawyer. Mauro doesn’t want any delays in their Mis Planes. He promises Juli to stay put, follow the doctor’s orders and get well. But, they *must* get Max out of prison.

A Generic Restaurant - Flavia and her snobby but Loyal Friend (LF), who doesn’t seem so snobby anymore, are talking at lunch. Flavia is upset by all the chaos at home and Max’s upcoming judgment. She’s not sure what she’s going to do without her father or Max. She knows she ought to go back to El P. to take charge of the coffee production for the 3-en-1 project. LF tells her she thinks Flavia has another motivation now to take her back to El P.—Heriberto. LF says she thinks Heri would respond to Flavia with just a little encouragement. Flavia says, half-joking here, it sounds as though LF is now pushing her relationship with an employee. LF says Heri may be the one to make her happy. Flavia is still unsure how she feels, but she knows one thing for sure. She misses him.

Montesinos Mansion - Lucrecia is sitting in her oversized, white, tufted, Madam’s chair talking rapidly to someone on the other end. You can sense the urgency in her voice. Elo steps through the doors behind Luce just in time to hear her arranging for Lucio to be committed to an institution. She needs some help with the paperwork. Elo is horrified and moves far enough away to make a phone call without being overheard. She calls Juli in Chiapas to tell her what Luce is up to.

Mon Apr 27 Pt 2

Don Manuel’s Gated House - Amaya is visiting Don Manuel to get caught up with all the news. They chit-chat a bit over Jose Without and Accent’s recent surgery; Geno staying at the hospital; and parent-child relationships. Amaya admits that sometimes they hurt their children just trying to protect them, to which Manuel wisely comments that sometimes the harm they do is irreversible.

Amaya tells Don M. she’s moved out of the Mansion with Vale and Mariana and are temporarily living with Caro 2.0. She and Cesar are getting divorced. They are officially separated now. Now Amaya wants to know all about Mauro. They are elated by the thought that in a few days Cesar and Lucrecia are going to be unmasked and their evil deeds revealed. Amaya wants to know how and presumably Manuel tells her while we have our attention directed to Panama to watch and listen to Jorge and Juliana’s conversations over Lu’s plans for Lucio. Jorge doesn’t understand how someone could do that to his or her own child. Next he tells her his trip is going to last a little longer than planned. He won’t tell her what it is that complicated his inheritance. That worries her. He says it frightens him because it’s going to change his life. He would rather wait and tell her in person. (If I were Juli, I’d be worried, too—their relationship has just gotten back on track.)

Back to Amaya and Don M. She is clapping her hands together with anticipation on what Mauro and Juli are planning. But wait, there’s more, says Don M. The best part will be when everyone finds out Cesar is not a Montesinos. Amaya then learns the truth of Cesar’s parentage. He is the son of Omar and not Mauro. Manuel assures her someone tampered with the DNA samples she submitted. Amaya says she had a gut feeling he wasn’t Mauro’s child.

Nora’s Apartment - Nora and Constanza are eating Japanese style on the floor at the low coffee table in the living room. Consta is being very realistic (she thinks) describing the happy home she’ll prepare for Max’s release so they can be together, the happy little family, along side her and their baby. The renter in Consta’s house has given notice and she’d going to move back in the house Don M. gave her and Max. Nora wishes she would wait a little longer, but Consta points out that Nora herself said she should start being more independent.

Max’s Prison Cell - It seems to be night. Max has been thinking of his bunk mate’s proposition of joining the prison break. He decides that’s not the solution to his situation. He wants to walk out a free man. He begins to have reveries of being free and re-lives each and every time he and Amaya were together in happier times, kissing, embracing, making love. Oddly, Consta does not appear in any of these scenes. Ah, the answer is that he says to himself that his memories of Amaya are the only things that brighten his lonely nights. He begins to cry.

Panamanian Child Welfare Services - Jorge is having coffee with Lic. Silvia, waiting for Tania, his One-Time-Fling’s sister and mother of Alexa, the adorable 5 year-old. When she arrives, breathless for being a little late, she begs Jorge to leave Alexa with her, not to take her away. Little Ale doesn’t even know him. Jorge is already smitten by her cuteness and assures Tania he will be a good dad. Tania wants the child and has decided to fight for her. Lic. Silvia tells her a bio-father has priority in custody matters. Tania tries again, Alexa doesn’t love him. Jorge assures her it won’t take long to win her love.

Mon Apr 27 Pt 3

Montesinos Mansion - Juliana walks in on breakfast in quite a cheerful mood. She has returned from wherever it was she went. Cesar and Luce look bothered and probably wish she would go away and never come back. She finds out Amaya and Vale no longer live with them from Lucio. Flavia fills her in on why—Amaya and Cesar are getting a divorce. Juli says, “Vaya, you are quick to marry and quick to divorce.” Cesar grins but really doesn’t like to be the butt of anyone’s jokes. Cesar then announces that now they can read Mauro’s last will and testament. Juli says only if Max is present. Lucrecia avers it would make no difference where it is read since Max won’t be able to inherit anything while he’s in prison. Juli insists he’d better make arrangements to have it read in the prison. Juli will expect to be notified when it’s all arranged. Flavia can’t quite believe Juli goes along with this. Flavia excuses herself from the table, then Elo and Lucio leave so he can go to school. Cesar realizes he’s been outmaneuvered. Luce recommends he get on with the arrangements.

Outside, Flavia and Juli walk hand in hand. Flavia is going to go back to El P. to handle the finca. Before she leaves they are going to go see Max together. Flavia goes off somewhere first so Elo and Lucio can join Juli. Lucio is sent to wait in the car so Elo can dump on Juli about Luce’s plans for Lucio. She held back from confronting Luce because she didn’t want her to know she was clued in on Luce’s plans. Juli assures her it won’t happen. Elo wonders how that can be since without Mauro there, Luce has complete authority. Juli can’t hold back any longer and tells Elo Mauro is alive. Elo’s joy is incalculable. She’s so excited Juli is afraid she’s going to give it away. She want to go to him right away. Juli says no one can know he’s alive. It part of their Mis Planes. Eloisa dissolves into tears of joy.

Lucrecia has gone upstairs to her room. Florencia has invaded Luce’s bedroom and is calling out to her in a ghostly voice, murderer, murderer. The bedroom starts to change shape, Luce’s head is full of the sound of Florencia. It’s driving her nuts and wants it to stop. She holds her head.

Vale’s School - Amaya has a short conversation with the director of the school to be vigilant for any changes in Vale and to be protective after all she has been through. Directora says count on her and the teachers. Directora wants to know if it’s ok to have a mass said for Horacio. Amaya grits her teeth, but says yes, of course and she will attend. (BTW, OT—Amaya has on some ridiculously high heeled shoes she can hardly walk elegantly in, let alone just walk. She’s wearing some modish t-shirt with a portrait of someone which probably means something to someone besides me, but it’s very loose and unflattering. Anyway, we have to see her in it the rest of the episode.)

Iván Has His Own Mis Planes - Our clever cutie pie is outfoxing Cecy the fox. He persuades her to stay at the hotel and go to the spa or get a massage while he goes to the prison to visit Max. The minute he gets outside, he calls Mariana. They arrange to meet. He’ll pick her up at Caro’s place and they’ll go to see Max together. He tells the surveillance crew of his plans. One of them will maintain watch on Cecy.

Iván and Mariana are reunited for the first time since he went WUN to intercept Ulises. There are besos and abrazos, sweet nothings. Then they leave for the prison.

Thanks for the list, Vivi

Now I remember some of the discussions.

Mon Apr 27 Pt 4

Reclusorio Varonil - Men’s Prison – Flavia and Juli are in the visitor’s room (where they are the only visitors) to see Max. Juli tells him about how they plan to prevent Cesar from reading the will until Max decides. Max wants to know if there was anything more to learn about the person who came to the house the day he was taken into custody. Flavia says no, he was never heard from again. [PLEASE help here. Does anyone remember what Max is talking about? When he says – casa – does he mean Horacio’s apartment or did someone come to the Montesinos Mansion I don’t recall.] Max asks about Juli’s trip. She gives him and Flavia a partial story—about finding a jacket that belonged to Mauro, so there is a chance he made it out of the river. (She doesn’t say bullet proof vest because only Manuel, Juli and Amaya know about it.) She asks both of them not to discuss this news so as not to raise any false hopes. Oh and one more thing, she tells Max, Amaya is getting divorced—they are no longer man and wife. Max’s smile is a mile wide and lights up his whole face. [This scene is followed immediately by “Caliente” Pizza-Max-Orbit-Couch, Ay Papi, what a gorgeous hunk he is. Ufff.] Max has gone back to his cell and is pondering about Amaya’s divorce. What reasons would she have to do that now.

Amaya’s Old Apartment - Amaya is making the rounds of her old apartment building where Horacio was living, in her ultra-high heeled shoes (which fortunately we do not see). Her first stop is Jimena, a close acquaintance who used to keep an eye on Vale. She says she saw nothing. After Amaya leaves, Jimena calls someone named Diego on the phone telling him she went along with what he had asked about not getting involved, but her heart went out to Amaya for it was so obvious she was suffering. She wants to tell Amaya what she and her sister saw. Amaya polls the other neighbors without any luck.

Uli’s Hotel Suite - Photographer Guy (PG) reports to Uli in his hotel room. (Ha! He had to get his own room in a different hotel probably.) He tells Uli Mariana, Amaya and the girl aren’t living in the mansion any more. No, he doesn’t know where they are now. Uli is furious. It was his responsibility to watch them. PG has the same complaint Negro made to Cesar—he can’t stand outside a house 24/7. How was he to know after they arrived in the afternoon they would leave at night. Uli calls Cecy to locate Iván. He suspects they are together. Cecy tells him to relax, Iván went to see Max in prison.

Reclusorio Varonil - Men’s Prison – Max is back in the visitors area to see Iván and Mariana. Iván wants him to know he has their support and believe in his innocence. Max asks Mari about Amaya’s divorce. Mari says it’s not a surprise after all he did to her. Max wants to know what it was he did. Mari says it’s not her story to tell, only she’s glad Amaya is away from him and she was never “his mujer.” Max’s ears pick that up. What does she mean, never “his mujer.” They were never intimate says Mari. Max wants to know even more. Mari says she’s said too much already, but Amaya had her reasons.

Iván steps in and tells Max that probably what made the cup runneth over was Cesar telling Vale Max had murdered Horacio, just to make him look like the worst person in the world. Max figures Vale really hates him now. Mari says on the contrary, Amaya talked to her and told her it wasn’t true. She’s told everyone that. Max is surprised she defended him. Mari tells him she’s right now trying to find out anything the police might have overlooked. Mari reminds him Amaya loves him and always has. Max is content to hear that.

Iván and Mari have finished their visit and have to separate. They embrace. They don’t want to part, but they have to. They don’t want to risk Cecy getting suspicious. (Too late. The music tells us something not nice is happening outside the prison. Yep, look, there is Cecy hiding behind a white car watching for Iván. Does she see them?)

Mon Apr 27 Pt 5

Cesar and His Mis Planes - Cesar talks to his crooked lawyer to make arrangements to read his father’s will inside the prison as soon as possible. He thinks to himself on an incredible high, that once the will is read, he, Cesar will be the master of everything.

Hospital in Chiapas - Dr. Marco has come to visit a much recuperated Mauro. On the TV is one of the Nescafé commercials Amaya had a hand in producing. They talk about how Florencia’s disappearance had such a profound impact on Mauro and how the hope of finding her gave him new effort to live. Marco is sorry it didn’t turn out the way Mauro had hoped as Florencia is no longer here. Mauro says he is mistaken. Mauro says, “She’s here. She is you. The most beautiful part of our love is you.” Marco leans in close and Mauro pulls him down and there is an emotional embrace between father and son. Marco is in tears (and so am I).

Going Back to El P. - Flavia is getting ready to go back to the finca. Juli asks her not to continue looking for Mauro. Flavia doesn’t understand. She thinks the more people searching, the better. Juli and Elo urge her, wink-wink, to trust them.

Panamanian Child Welfare Services - Jorge is still in Lic. Silvia’s office. Now Alexa is sitting on his lap. He’s telling her about coming to live with him in Mexico. Alexa looks up at him and asks if her aunt Tania can come too. Jorge says she won’t be able to just then, but she will definitely come for a visit. For Alexa, a visit is not enough. She wants tía to come with them. (We leave Jorge in his dilemma.)

Mauro’s Nescafé Office, Recently Appropriated by Cesar - Amaya comes knocking on Cesar’s glass office door. He allows her to enter. She tells him what he wants to hear. She’ll sign over the Zona Estrella in return for Max’s freedom. Freeze frame on Cesar’s triumphant grin

Sorry it took longer than I thought. Things sure are looking up for Max. BUT WHERE IS THAT DA**ED COMPUTER.

Anita- Perfect recap! Wonderfully detailed and filled with emotion. It didn't take too long at all.

I was right there with you with tears in my eyes during the Mauro-Marco scene, with the tears streaming down Marco's face, and Mauro tenderly wiping them. This was the stand-in for the emotional reunion scene we had hoped for for Mauro and Florencia, that can no longer be.

The mysterious person they were expecting at the house when Max was arrested was "Florencia" (really Juliana and Amaya), who sent the text messages to the family.

Vivi--Of course. That would be the last thing Max would have remembered. In retrospect, he said "persona," so it could have been male or female. I just assumed male and couldn't think of anyone.

Also, thanks for reprinting the list Ganadores for 2015. My son called about 10 minutes in and I turned off the sound and turned my back. It was over before we hung up! In a way, I'm glad I didn't watch. I would have been angry--again--that Quiero Amarte didn't at least win for Jose Elias Moreno. (I liked Perdedor, much better than any of the songs, too.)

And, I didn't want any spoilers for the two we haven't seen yet.

Kelly--I love your anvil list.

Without question--for those still living:
FBS - Cesar and Lucrecia. Maybe someone would like to make up a list of all their crimes. I think the one that is the most vile was the way Cesar tortured and harassed Lucio. In my book, he'd be chained by the neck, standing up against a wall and fed a liquid diet for the rest of his life.

I would like to add:
FBS - Efrain, Uli's right-hand man; and it's not enough to just say he was doing his job or following orders. He didn't kill or maim anyone, but he colluded in both sequesters of Mariana's and hiring the guys that nearly beat Ivan to death.

RCS - the card shark that made Cipriano lose everything, again at Uli's request, but just because he's a common criminal.

RCS - The actor who pretended to be the hypnotist and set Lucio's treatment back. Maybe he has his own little hell to live in. Luce has cut him off and he's a fugitive and can't come back home.

NBS - If Dolores were still alive, she might deserve a broken nail for trying to keep Max and Amaya from seeing each other again at the beginning of the story. Remember when she threw the paper with Max's phone number into the pail of water?

I may think of some more as the week goes on.

that computer is going to turn up where it's least expected. maybe Tia can come and stay with them for a while, or stay there with them permanently. like auntie Eloisa with the montesino children children. I think George should try to keep the family together. she may not be her mother but she is her aunt and I don't think George should like just whisk her away from auntie Tia.

Nina

Dolores was afraid for amaya to get involved with any of the Montesinos, because of lacretia and rightly so, look what she did to her. I'm not sure I'd give her a broken nail. Amays was like a daughter to her. She was like a lioness protecting her child.

Nina

Anita, I do not watch this but was intrigued by your anvil "sizes". Very clever!

Jarifa

WOW! Thanks, Anita! Haven't read your wonderful recap yet, hope to get to it soon. Kinda crazy/busy!

Thank you so much!

Lila

Thank you so much, Anita. Perfect and not late at all. Where is the darn computer indeed!

Sara: I enjoyed your recap!

1.) Alexa really means it: she wants her aunt Lic to come with them to Mexico!

2.) Mis Planes LOL!

3.) Luc planning to have Lucio sent to an institution really PISSED ME OFF! WHAT THE ***** ?

4.) Amaya giving up the Zona Estrella to Cesar: NOOOOOOOO!

5.) Costanzia needs to be slapped hard because everytime I see her, she keeps obsessing over Max, who obviously does NOT want her!

Reminds me of Araceli Cosby obsessing over Chava in Hasta El Fin Del Mundo!

6.) I'm hoping Elo doesn't blurt out to everyone that Don Mauro is alive!

7.) Father & Son moment between Don Mauro & Marco is SWEET!

8.) Amaya grinding her teeth over Vale holding a mass for Whoracio was like "Seriously?"

9.) I'm hoping Cecy Goldilocks didn't see Ivan & Mariana kissing!

10.) Flavia is one tough cookie!

11.) The photographer dude is likely either going to end up getting caught by law enforcement or manage to escape by fleeing the country!

12.) How long before we see employees quit Nescafe because of Cesar wreaking havoc ?

Steve--Your #6 is also my biggest fear. But Juli has a big mouth, too. She was not supposed to tell anyone.

Agree 100% on your #7

#5 Constanza is living in a dream world. But: Max has told her over and over he will be there for her and the baby. After Amaya married Cesar, Max agreed to give it another try with Constanza. They even slept together (or was that just cuddling, can't remember, anyway they slept in the same bed), so at least from all outward signals, Consta does NOT see it as obviously Max NOT wanting her.

#8 was my own interpretation. Actually, Amaya agreed to a Mass in Horacio's memory rather pleasantly with the Directora of Vale's school. But knowing how she really felt about Horacio made me think she had to say it while gritting her teeth!

I wish I could write like Anita. This is not my recap. Anita deserves all the credit.

Sara-I don't really pay that much attention to who's writing the recap, I just know that they're really good. so if you're one of the ladies that delivers the recaps, you have nothing to worry about because they're very good. you guys are so detail oriented you don't miss anything that's important. All of you deserve the credit.

Nina

Anita: Plus, everytime I see Constanzia, she's always groping Max's arms, hands, etc.,

I'm thinking she's addicted to Max & can't stop.

Steve- Have you seen Max? I don't blame Connie. I think I'd be groping him too. :)

...and not just his hands and arms...

aren't you glad there's more to a person besides your body? I think that's her way of letting him know how much she loves him. you have your clingy connies and then you have the others. But he does have very nice arms. I remember him when he was skinny when I saw him again, he has really buffed up.

Nina

April 28 Parte 1
Right to the new. Scenes sometimes combined.

Cesar assumes that Amaya's willingness to hand over the ZE means she still loves him. She admits she's never stopped loving Max Cesar finds it odd that she's giving in. It may be odd to him, but it's very difficult for her. The land is her inheritance and her daughter's inheritance. Cesar will never understand her motives because he doesn't know what love it. Cesar says he would have loved her, but she didn't let him. At least now he'll have her lands. He wants to go to the noratio ahora mismo. Amaya isn't handing over the land until Max is out and Cesar isn't getting Max out until Amaya hands over the ZE. Impasse. They agree to sign a legal document in front of witnesses agreeing to each do their part: Cesar will get Max out and Amaya will cede ZE.

Cop 1 sees Cecy outside the reclusorio and signals to Cop 2. Cop 2 warns Ivan and Mari. Ivan asks Cop 2 to take Mari home. Ivan steps outside and confronts Cecy and gets mad at her for being stalky and not trusting him. He wants to go to the hotel, get his stuff and head back to Chiapas to look for his mom. Cecy begs him not to leave.

Amaya is eager for Cesar to get Max out of jail. Cesar says it will be a few days since he has to find someone to take Max's place. He says he will have Max out before the trial starts on Frida. When asked why ZE is so important to him, Cesar explains that he will have more power than his siblings...oh and money. Nuria and Vera are called to witness the signing of the document.

Back at the hotel, Cecy wonders if Ivan is still mad. He asks her to give him time to get over it. Her cell phone rings and she excuses herself to answer it. It's Uli. Ivan eavesdrops. Cecy explains to Uli that Ivan was exactly where he said he was and now she's in deep doo doo with Ivan. She wants Uli to get a move on with his mis planes because she's tired of him. She wants to go back to her finca and be with the man she loves. Cecy actually thinks Ivan is with her by his own free will. HA!

Nuria dares to ask what the document is about. Cesar blows her off and tells her to sign. Which she does. Vera and Nuria leave. Cesar gives Amaya a slimy apology. He is so sorry for how things turned out. They could have been good together. Ah well. At least they got to make love that one time. Amaya reminds him it was RAPE. It was the nastiest thing she's ever been through. She wishes she could erase it from her memory. She leaves and he texts Lu. He tells her to meet him at the Bar Azul at 6. Then he tells a secretary to make an appointment with Arriaga at the same bar at 5. He gloats that he he is now owner of all the cafetales.

Apr 28 Parte 2
Amaya tells Caro how upset she is that she had to cede the ZE. Cesar isn't even a Montesinos!! But he isn't going to end up with what he wants. Amaya is sure of that. Caro thinks they should look for new jobs. Even if Max gets out of jail, Caro isn't sure the 3 en 1 is going to be successful. Cesar will stop it. Amaya is loyal to Mauro who risked up so much for her. She will not leave until Mauro is back. Caro can't believe Amaya is still holding out hope. Amaya is sure things will work out.

I'm invoking the RPC (Recapper's Privilege Card) two times. This is the first time...and if you've seen the episode, you know when the next one is coming. Max. Cons. Jail. Talk. Whine. Ultrasound pics. Positive thinking!

Ok. Three RPCs. Caro. Amaya. Boy talk. Dario is dreamy! I think we're about to go steady!

Juli arrives at Nescafe and sees Cesar's silhouette in her father's office. She sees Nuria at the desk and asks who is in her father's office and why Nuria is there. Poor Nuria is stuck having to tell her Cesar is the one inside.

Juli barges into the office. She demands to know what he's doing in her father's office. Cesar reminds her that he's the president and she reiterates that he is the TEMPORARY president. Cesar insists that Mauro is dead. Juli has to accept that and they all need to be strong. Mauro is not coming back and Cesar is in charge. He doesn't deny Juli's accusation that he's the most ambitious man ever. He accomplishes what he sets out to do and if Juli wants to keep working for Nescafe, she will have to respect him. What he says, goes. He tells her to leave and close the door as she leaves.

Amaya is on the phone with Mariana. It was imprudent to go to see Max. Mariana promises not to do it again. Mari tells Amaya that Max asked why she and Cesar married. Mari also explains that she told him it was an arrangement and that nothing ever happened between them. Mari still has a hope Amaya and Max will get back together. Amaya doesn't have much hope because of the Cons/Baby Daddy thing.

Apr 28 Parte 3
Heriberto surprises Flavia at the Chiapas airport with flowers. She's a little shy. They are so cute together! She says the flowers are pretty. Heriberto thinks they aren't as pretty as she is. She asks why he still uses "usted" with her. He says it's a habit, but he'll try to get over it. She says he will need too.

Cesar meets with a very tired and sick looking Arriaga. We get a flashback of Horacio making Arriaga sign a contract for a rock-bottom price for coffee. Arriaga thinks Cesar and Nescafe exploit the coffee producers. Cesar explains that Horacio was the only one responsible for that. That was not the contract Cesar sent. Horacio changed it. It was only just discovered. Max even went and beat the crap out of Horacio...and Horacio is now dead. Cesar asks about Arriaga's health. He's not doing so great and his illness is expensive. Cesar has an offer for him. He needs to get his brother out of jail and he needs a scapegoat. Arriaga could take the blame. The old man really only has a year left anyway, right? His family could be taken care of. Cesar shows him a check and I suspect there are quite a few zeros on it.

Amaya goes to see Max at the reclusorio. He asks why she's divorcing Cesar. She replies that she can't stand being with him anymore. Max knew she couldn't be happy with Cesar. Max knew he was the only one that could make her happy...but noooo...She had to marry Cesar for "powerful reasons" that she never even bothered to explain. She changes the subject and tells him that he is going to be set free. Max thinks they found proof it was Cesar. Nope. Amaya explains she is giving up ZE for Max's freedom.

Arriaga is not so sure he wants to agree to Cesar's proposal. There are things more important than money. A sterling reputation for example. The assurance that you are leaving a memory that no one can be ashamed of. Cesar scoffs at his sentimentality. He pushes harder. Arriaga's family could be taken care of. Arriaga argues that dying alone in jail is hard. Cesar brushes it off. Eh. We're born alone and we die alone. He wants Arriaga's answer. If he doesn't want to accept the proposal, Cesar will have to find someone else.

Max explains to Amaya that she is an idiot (I took some liberties.) Amaya blames herself. If Max hadn't gone to Horacio's to defend her, he wouldn't be in this mess. Max thinks Cesar is guilty and now he's taking advantage of her. Amaya says Max's freedom is more valuable to her than ZE. He thanks her for being an idiot (liberties, I took them), it means a lot to him. It's a beautiful act of love. Amaya asks him to never doubt her love for him. He still can't accept her sacrifice. She's not asking him if she can give up ZE. She's just informing him. Deal with it.

Apr 28 Parte 4
Max asks her not to be stubborn. She thinks she better leave. He stops her and asks if it's true that there was never anything between her and Cesar. She plays dumb. He asks "there was never intimacy?" He begs her to answer. She gives a technically true answer "after you I never MADE LOVE with anyone" (emphasis added.) Max sighs and asks again why she married Cesar and why Mari said the marriage was an arrangement. She can't tell him anymore and she leaves.

At the Chiapas clinic Mauro is eager to get back home, but Dr. Linares (geez. What's his first name again?) tells him he needs more rest. Mauro tell him that he started writing a memoir of his life with Florencia. When he thought Florencia was alive, he thought maybe she had lost her memory. Mauro felt the need to write everything down so she would know how much he loved her. Now he wants to finish it so Dr Linares will know how marvelous his mother was. Dr. Linares will get a computer for Mauro. Mauro also wants to see the grandmother and nieta that saved him. He wants to help them.

The school director can't believe Lu wants to take Lucio out of the school and institutionalize him. Eloisa wants the school director to write a letter explaining that the change could be physically and mentally damaging to Lucio. The directora agrees.

Apr 28 Parte 5
Eloisa is going to take the letter that the directora writes to the authorities. She is going to show that Lucrecia is not a fit mother. The directora admits she was supporting Lu. She tells Elo that Lucio is lucky to have her. Elo disagrees. Elo thinks SHE is lucky to have Lucio. He is truly a gift.

RPC 3-Jose is home. He calls a friend. Money. Cars. Racing. Yada yada. Can't remember who suggested he might die in a street race, but it's looking highly likely.

Cesar shows Lu the agreement he and Amaya signed. She's thrilled. Cesar is pleased too. He's going to get ZE and not even have to pay for it! And he'll get Max out of jail, just like Lu asked. She asks how he will manage it and he explains the Arriaga will admit he killed Max. Lu asks about motive and Cesar tells her about Horacio making Arriaga sign that crappy contract.

Caro tells Juli that Amaya is giving the ZE to Cesar in exchange for Max's freedom. Juli thinks they need to prove Max's innocence, but some other way. She wants to see Amaya as soon as she gets back to Nescafe. Juli and Caro move on to 3 en 1 business. The cafe gourmeT is coming from Brazil. Flavia is taking care of sending the robust coffee(?) from el P. When Jorge gets back he'll oversee everything. They need to make sure the campaign is ready and that everything launches on time. They need to do it in the hopes that Max gets out and if he doesn't, they still need to make sure it gets off the ground.

Lu praises Cesar. She's so happy. It's been terrible listening to the gossip. It's awful having a child in prison. Cesar says he always keeps his word. They toast with champagne. Blech.

Max calls Iriarte from the prison phone. He wants a meeting with Cesar ASAP. If not today, then tomorrow. And don't accept no for an answer. It's something that will be in Cesar's interest. Freeze frame on Max.

It's going to be so beautiful when Mauro makes his appearance again. Cesar is going to go down.

6 PM TUESDAY

NO TIME TO WATCH TODAY'S SHOW UNTIL AFTER 9:00 TONIGHT.

DID NOT READ TODAY'S RECAP;.

1. Thanks, Anita for a great recap, detailed and precise as always.

2. I'd sell all my property for Max in an instant.

3. I can see that Alexa might want her aunt to come along on the journey. I can also see that the aunt might truly want to raise her sister's child. The writers, however, have made Tania
a most disagreeable person. She does in no way come off as a loving aunt. As I said before,
she may want a monetary package attached to the raising of the child -- which Jorge would gladly forfeit. She also may have coached or bribed the child in some way to request that she go with them on the trip back to Mexico.

I am still waiting for
Sal to kick the bucket to suit my theory. In the meantime, I predict that the Mis Planes for Juli etc. may involve Marco appearing as the ghost of Mauro with the voice of Florencia
being heard at intervals...all of this done at a full member family reunion either at MM or in the jail cell - depending on the time of Max's release.

Anita,

How terrific that you had such a wonderful, long conversation with your son. These are the best moments of my life when my children initiate the calls and share all that has been going on in their lives. I have learned that it is far better for them to call me rather than the opposite.

All the best,

Sara- Just watching now. Excellent recap!

I had to laugh at the standoff between Max and Amaya with both getting frustrated with the other's stubbornness.

Hey all! Thanks as always for your great work with the recaps!

While Amaya did sign over La Zona Estrella, the battle isn't lost yet. Amaya has learned enough to NEVER trust Cesar and has made sure that she gets what she wants before he does. Way to go!

I just noticed, Amaya has had the fastest divorces in telenovela protagonist history. Another refreshing twist on an old roadblock.

Amaya and Max's jail conversation was heartbreaking. Such emotion and Max's face when he found out nothing happened between Cesar and Amaya.

Thanks god Hector called those cops, if not the plan would have been shot. I'm wondering if Cecy, in the end, will be who turns Ulises in.

Constanza's recent actions finally show a glimmer of hope for her future. Just the fact she's moving into an apartment alone is worthy of a pat on the back!

I wonder if Nuria will spill the beans regarding the contract or help out in any way. She didn't seem to happy to sign anything.

I was hoping Juliana would slap Cesar for taking the office like Amaya did for telling Vale about Horacio.

Eloisa is finally growing big ones as well and taking action to save Lucio. She was right not to confront Lucrecia.

Mauro and Marco's conversation was especially sweet. All these actors behave so naturally around each other I find it so hard to believe they aren't family or in love or best friends, etc.

Oh, boy! Was I late to the party! This is a huge Thank You to Anita for Monday's recap! Just finished reading it. Everything has been said but I two scenes really touched me, as they did many of you: The amazing Mauro and Marco reunion! It was so excellently done and believable! What a miracle Mauro NEVER expected!

The other thing was Max sobbing in his cell. He has been so strong and assertive, at times aggressive about defending his love for Amaya and pursuing her, after so many months of a love roller coaster ride, there he sat, alone, in the deepest sense of the word, longing for Amaya. Right now he's helpless, so all he could do is weep.

Broke my heart.

Haven't watched today's ep yet, Sara. Your recap is going to be a treat!

Sara,

Another terrific recap. You all keep churning them out with great quality. Those special recapper cards came in handy for this episode.
You used them in just the right places.

Superalfie,
You expressed it well about the relationships between the actors.
They make things seem so natural and real.

The trend for some time with American actors is that the leads are just so super sophisticated
and cool. I don't feel any warmth with most of them. Maybe I have missed others to the contrary.

Thanks to all recappers and commenters.....

Sara--Great recap, thank you. I never thought of using RPC for certain scenes. Thanks for the idea. I hope you don't mind if I use it in the future. It sure saves a lot of time.

I can't wait to find out what Max has up his sleeve for this meeting with Cesar. I'm kind of hoping Arriaga turns Cesar down and he puts his and his family's reputation first. Then Cesar will have to find another patsy.

I detected an ooopsie, not in the recap, but in the episode.

When Amaya and Caro are walking down the hall in Nescafe, talking about Am ceding the ZE to Cesar she was saying "Cesar isn't even a Montesinos." Caro doesn't know Mauro has been found, does she? At least her next sentences would make you think she doesn't know. Amaya knows about Luce's confession about Cesar only because Manuel just told her the day before.

Floridia--Thank you for your thoughts on children and phone calls. My son calls on those "special days" or when an e-mail just isn't enough. When we do talk, we end up talking a long time.

I agree with you guys about the warmth between the actors/characters. This seems very typical of Carlos Moreno's tns. I still remember how much love flowed between the characters in Amor Bravio.

The American show where I currently see that is Jane the Virgin with her relationship with her mom and grandma.

Arriaga will explain that (HE) killed Horatio, not max. There was a typo farther up. now to the good stuff. Cesar has it in his head that amaya loves him. In his sick mind "she still loves me that's why she's giving me the land." seriously? Maybe Alexis' aunt should go to Mexico with jorge, and her, after all she is the only mother that she's ever known. and the protesting is because she really loves that little girl and she doesn't want to lose her. But biological parents do have the rights. Auntie is biological, she's just not the mother. but it needs to be a slow transition.

And if Jose does not get killed in the Race car he'll probably have a permanent condition from it. A teaching opportunity he can learn from. We can only hope.

Nina

Nina--Here's what Sara wrote, "Cesar assumes that Amaya's willingness to hand over the ZE means she still loves him."

That *HIM* refers to Max. Amaya immediately answers, she never stopped loving Max.

It was just a little confusion over pronouns. Then the rest makes sense.

Vivi--OT: I'm watching Jane the Virgin "with" my grandson's girlfriend. She's the one that recommended it. (She comes from just the same intergenerational family Jane lives in--grandmother, mother, daughter, except they are originally from Cuba.) She's 250 miles away from me, but we discuss it after each episode by e-mail. It's been fun. (Jaime Camil is so..."Great.")

Nina--Alexa's mother just died recently, so her tia is not the only mother she's ever known. Tia lives in Miami and probably only visited on occasion, but it's true, she knows tia better than she knows Jorge.

We just KNOW, don't we, without needing any avances that something is going to happen to Jose Without an Accent in that car race. Especially since he's betting his whole wad on it. I hope his face gets messed up again. All that money for the plastic surgeon is down the drain.

Anita- the RPC is not copyrighted. It's in the public domain and anyone may use it :)

I still don't trust Jose: spoiled brat, who still scams people!

re Alexa,

We do not know the motives of the Tia...no information to go on.

Today's recap--I haven't seen CorazonS on this blog for over a week since she volunteered to recap today and next Wednesday. I hope she won't forget.

thank you for that correction, I read it over again. last night when I read it the first time I was a bit exhausted. but anyway thank you very much for that correction I did the typo not Sarah, sorry sara!

FLORIDA-you're right we don't know the motives of Tia, but I hope they are honorable. because that little girl is just precious and she doesn't need anybody fighting over her.

Anita-thanks for the other corrections about alexis' mother. I don't why I thought she died years ago. but in any case Tia can help her transition. I mean she's getting a father and step mom that's really sweet and a big brother. But she doesn't know these people so she's going to need tia. I hope they can let her go back to Mexico with them. something needs to go right for somebody in this show.

Nina

Nina--Yes to your hope for Alexa and her auntie, if only. Right now, though, Tia is not exhibiting a pleasantly conciliatory attitude. I think viewers are meant to pick up on that and root for Jorge to take her away from angry Tia and Tia never to be heard from again.

you know if this wasn't the end of this telenova, and there was no Juliana and there was a whole different situation......well that's a whole new telenova. we'll see what comes next. (come on happy endings).

hi Nina here, that was me up above with the happy endings thing.

Nina

Tia might just be having a natural emotional response to her sister dying and a stranger coming and taking her only niece away-- meaning, she'll lose her last connection to her sister. She's probably 1) worried that Jorge won't be a good father, based on what her sister told her about him not wanting kids; and 2) worried that she'll be cut out of her niece's life after she goes off to Mexico. She's coming off as a beyotch to Jorge, but Alexis seems to love her, so I take that to mean she's a good/loving aunt.

we can only hope, Vivi.

Nina

Finally done watching yesterday's episode and your wonderful recap, Sara. Thank you!

Wonderful discussion of yesterday's episode. I would like to immodestly accept credit for predicting that jose without an accent (or capital letter now, so there!) would die in a car race on the street. Yes. It will happen.

I am tickled pink over this show, even with the suspense. .

ALL EXCEPT FOR THE ULI CECI STORYLINE!!! UUUUUUUFFFFFFF!!!!

Phew. I feel better. Thanks for listening!

Good recap so far.

I heard that they were just going to show two hours of La Rosa de Guadalupe after this and I really hope that's not true. I like this time for a novela (there's one already waiting when I get home) and even if it was MIVAC, at least it's new.

Hey you guys, I haven't forgotten it's my turn today. I'll be uploading it between this hour and 2:00. I need to edit it a little further. I'll be back with a few more comments.

(I deleted my comment because it had left a huge space and it didn't look right. The above is a copy and paste of it.)

Thanks, Corazon!

Sorry, I missed today' episode. Tell me Juliana or Elo didn't blurt out their big mouths that Don Mauro is alive!

Corazon--Whee, you stayed with us. Take your time. We can wait.

Quiero Amarte on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 Part One

(skipping the old, starting the new)

Max makes a call; he needs Cesar to come visit him at prison ASAP and to whoever it is on the other line, Cesar can't decline visiting him. Lure Cesar with the classic, "This Benefits You, You Bonehead," technique. After he hangs up, Max puffs his cheeks (not that important-wait, it's cute so yes it is.)

Connie Clingin' Vine and Esteban walk around talking about Max and her wanting to continue working in a specific area. Esteban green-lights it and she thanks him.

Hector asks Flavia how it went and she says that Max's situation has everyone in anguish. She then lets them know what must be done; like the Nescafe presentation the very next day. Hector says that he will make sure the camiones will be ready tonight, then bright and early the next day. He also mentions Mauro and Flavia tells him not to worry since Juliana is apparently on the case now and they were told to take cinco. Hector agrees and hopes Juli saves the day.

Valeria laments the death of WhoreAssio (so much she almost wanted to go to school) and asks if she'll ever be happy again. Amaya comforts her; "Time Heals All Wounds." Amaya also sweetly mentions when this is over, they'll move to a city or small town far, far away. Maybe a calm place by the sea where no one knows them or could hurt them. Val herself thinks she'll like it.

Jorge says to Tania that he invited her to dinner so they could talk, not fight; they need to come to a conclusion for Alexa's well-being. She asks him if he thinks this could be negotiated civilly. He says yes and that that's why he wants to invite her to Mexico the next day with him and Alexa; he wants her to realize he is a noble man. She declines because she has to return to Miami.

Amaya now declares it bedtime for Val and Mariana comes in; super mega infinito! Mari then takes Val with her and is going to stay with her until she's asleep. It's all very tender :3

Jorge says he has worked out everything; he invites Tania to meet Juliana, her family, his co-workers and says that Alexa will feel even better through it with her by her side. If she supports this, he'll support a trip to Alexa's family because she deserves to keep in touch with the other half. Alexa loves Tania and vice versa.

Juliana has come over and they discuss their current situation; Cesar wanting Amaya's land in exchange for Max's freedom. Amaya apologizes for having had Juli come out this way but she can't talk with her in the office; she is sure Cesar is watching her every move. Everything Amaya plans, Cesar ends up finding out! She warns Juli to be cautious. Juli wouldn't be surprised if he were to have everything under surveillance but doesn't wanna talk about Cesar, she wants to talk about Max. Juli says she already predicted how Max would react and amoment later comes up with something ingenious. She says that they have to make Cesar think that La Zona Estrella no longer belongs to Amaya herself.

Corazon,

Excellent so far.
Is more forthcoming?

Corazon: Does Cesar still have Amaya's phones wiretapped?

Quiero Amarte on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 Part 2

Jorge doesn't want to take away Alexa; he wants to assume his role as her father and give the kid love. Tania is speechless and says she will call him tomorrow.

Juliana promises that Cesar won't get away with any of this and says that the most important thing right now is that he think he's won. Amaya is dying to know how exactly this plan will play out and Juli unfortuntely can't spill the beans however she promises to when everything has fallen into place. Right now, she has to go visit Max and make sure he accepts her proposal to let loose of the land. Amaya says she really doesn't care whether or not she loses the land or not; she is willing to do whatever as long as he is let free. She then changes the subject and asks about Mauro. Juli says he is OK but when he caught wind of all the Max in jail notoriety, he almost had another heart attack. Amaya can't stomach much more of this.

(Theme Song)

Jorge calls Juli and she asks, "Hola amor, cuando piendas regresar?" Jorge says tomorrow and Juli wants to hear about everything that went down during the trip.

It's show-time! Cesar has come to see Max and they get to the bare bones of it all; soon Max will be getting out of jail (because unbeknowst to Max, something

Marco Antinio says to Mauro he has no interest in taking La Zona Estrella from his sister

Cesar states he is a man of business and then Max begins to negotiate everything in order for Cesar to cancel the deal he made with Amaya. Cesar says Max's secciones no le sirven para nada and that Amaya's give him the power he so richly and ardently desires. He says to forget about it; they're not making any sort of deal. Also, Max asks Cesar why the hell he wants this opportunity so damn badly when he's shown zero interest for anything regarding it in the past. Cesar oh so heatedly burns for this because it means power over many and much.

Clingy Connie has come to see Genoveva and Jose. Veva says Jose got dispatched and out her comes; hunge bandage on his face.

Max asks Cesar why the hell he wants Zona Estrella so badly. Cesar says that it's because it means power and you know how orgasmic he gets when power is on the line. Some talk later and Max calls Cesar an infeliz.

Manuel happily greets Connie and he asks the baby. She talks about where she's going to work and the works. FFWD>>

Max-All you're life, you've taken advantage of others for your benefit.

Cesar-(he proudly owns up to this with a smug expression.)

Max- You're the worst scum I've ever met. You're not worthy of being a Montesino and sure as hell won't get away with this!

Cesar-I don't care what you think, you're in jail so there's nothing you can do about it.

Max-I don't know what I'm going to do but you're not getting away with this.

Cesar rubs in the fact Amaya married him but it.     doesn't phase Max; Amaya didn't love Cesar.

(I'll be back. I gotta drop my nephew off at school.)

they come up with some pretty interesting plans. manual blabbed yesterday too Geno I hope she can keep her mouth shut. looks like he told her not to say anything. great recap corazon.

Quiero Amarte on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 Part 3

ConnieClingy says she is willing to wait upon Max. Manuel tries reasoning when Jose cuts in and brings up that Amaya is Max's ex and then says something frivolous to which The Clingy One scoffs. FFWD>>

Max says that he and Amaya have loved each other like no one has ever loved before. Cesar then says he raped her and that gives Max's berserk button a push so hard, it's stuck; he pummels Cesar to a pulp when the guards come in to pull him away. Max is hauled away after a few, "SHE NEVER LOVED YOU'S!"

Manuel is hiding something that is irritating Veva and she wants him to be direct. Veva is getting irritated with Manuel isn't making it clear the wedding has been postponed. Shut UpJose mentions his mother then leaves. Genoveva is very direct with Manuel; either he gets his $#!+ together or she'll walk. Also, just because IDK where else to mention this but Manuel somehow brings up Mauro's real current state.

Max is brought into solitary confinement and requests to see the director of the jail. A guard whacks him with the staff of pain and leaves Max to his thoughts.

Everyone has come to check on Mauro and it's all tender. I'm reminded of Benigno from Nina de mi Corazon. Mauro tells the young woman in the room he is going to help her with her studies and the elder with getting a job.

Cesar barges in demanding Amaya (who asks about his bruises) tell him whether she told Max about their deal or not. Amaya stands her ground with dignity,

Ulises' henchman informs him that Valeria is attending school and it's clear where this story is headed.

Mariana and Ivan talk romantic, sweet things on the phone (I've been lacking an Ivan fix lately.)

Juliana has come to see Max but access is denied and is informed about what went down earlier. She is promised that she will be the first to be notified and see him when his time out is over. Later, Juliana calls Cesar inquiring about what the hell exactly lead to what went down. Again, unto Juli, access is denied.

Corazon--We're with you. School should come first in everybody's book. Enjoying the clippity cloppety style you have.

One small correction, although it makes NO difference to the outcome. Max is trying to negotiate his freedom with his "acciones" not "secciones." Those are HIS shares in Nescafe. Of course, Cesar could care less. He's already salivating over getting the ZE. The deal he has with Amaya won't work unless he's the dealmaker getting Max out of jail.

On with the SHEW!

Steve--I don't think Cesar ever had Amaya's phones tapped. He bugged and videoed her office. It was Uli that wanted to have all the phones at El P. tapped.

Thanks for putting so much time and effort into the recap, Corazon! Looking forward to the last part. A few additions: Cesar justified the rape by saying Amaya cheated on him with Max, and Max was yelling she never cheated on you as he was dragged away. Manuel is postponing the wedding because of whatever plans he, Mauro and Juli have made, so he kind of had to tell Geno that Mauro is alive.

Did you all notice how everyone in Manuel’s household was wearing some shade of blue? Manuel’s tie, Connie and Geno’s dresses, and Jose’s shirt. If they wanted to, they could have taken a nice family photo right then and there.

In addition to jobs for her and her grandma, and paying for her education, Mauro also offered to help the Guatemalan girl who helped him with her legal status in Mexico. What a wonderful repayment for their good deed.

Thank you, Corazon. Loving these no-filler episodes! I keep holding out hope that they're just keeping us tense with Uli stalking Valeria through photographer dude who, I reiterate, needs an RCS for helping Uli plan to kidnap a child and re-kidnap Mari. He's a dirty dog!

I feel like somebody, either Elo or Geno is going to let it slip that Mauro is alive. I hope not because in addition to the anvils Cesar and Lu deserve, the also deserve this major shock to their system and WE in viewerville deserve to see their nasty faces when they realize the jig is up and huge, gnarly, red hot, HEAVY anvils hang over their heads!

Love Mauro's generosity with Granny and Angela. Angela cracked me up when she said, "Wow, this is like hitting the lottery!" You said it, Girl!

:D Lila (I finally had a food verifiction thingy: hamburgers. . .and all I've got is trail mix!)

Thanks, Corazon for fitting this in amongst your busy schedule.

Dropping your nephew off at school
fit right in with this telenovela.

Someone is always dropping off or picking up Valeria.

Today, I decided to concentrate on the Family in Blue, the somewhat dysfunctional FAMILY OF MANUEL.

I decided to ASUMIR the role of advocate for young con artist JOSÉ.

He seems headed for big trouble, but I do not want to write him off nor have anything horrible happen to him. I'll state some reasons:

1. He is under 25. Research states that male brains do not fully develop until that age.
There are many PUNKS - yes he is a PUNK -- like him in the criminal justice system who are given up on at an all too early age.

2. He was brought up by a loving but weak mother and a non existent father. He didn't have what it takes to overcome this. In contrast, Dr. Marco grew up without
a father, but something within him (Montesinos blood, I suppose) enabled him to make the most of his life.

3. As a real life example, my father and his brother were orphaned when they were 9 and 10 years old. The maiden aunts were in charge of the family which also included 3 girls. The aunts decided to keep the girls and they sent the 2 boys off to boarding school in Canada. (Their father
had been a successful lawyer, so there was money to raise them well until adulthood). My father was
a survivor. He was a self made man who went on to college and graduate school. His brother, my uncle never got over the fact that he grew up without parents. He dropped out of school early, became an alcoholic, never married and did odd jobs all his life. It was a tragic story.

4. JOSÉ was rescued out of prison by his father, and one would think that all would be hunky dory after that. In real life, it doesn't usually work out that way. Old habits die hard. Recidivism occurs.

5. Geno & Manuel are weak, but in essence they are good people.
I don't want anything bad happening to their son. He may fall again and again, but I am rooting for him that he does have a sense of decency deep within him to straighten out at some point.

6. There are countless real-life stories of guys who got into serious trouble time after time when they were young -- and then they finally saw the light and
became exceptionally productive members of society. I hope that JOSÉ will be allowed to live and one day redeem himself.

****A funny thing that happened in this past episode is that Manuel gently kicked JOSÉ out of his big office chair.

7. JosÉ deserves some credit for consistently wanting TIT FOR TAT and being quick on the uptake.
I believe he told Connie that if Max goes back with Amaya, she can come back to her old room and give him the apartment. This was why Connie scoffed, but in his mind, a good deal.

8. If I heard correctly, JOSÉ had the courage to stand up to Manuel
about postponing the marriage once again.

9. Have a heart, Carayers, let's hope that this very young man can be saved.

Floridia- Thanks for being an advocate for Jose. He is just 18. Let's put this into the perspective of a character we DO currently like, Flavia. Flavia is a few years older than Jose, but at the beginning of this tn, she was as much of a jerk as Jose is. If she can change, then Jose can.

Yes, he did call Manuel out for not respecting his mom, after Manuel announced the wedding postponement.

anyone noticed when amaya was talking to Val and comforting her, she didn't have those wedding rings on and when Julie and Caro came into the room she was sitting down and she had the wedding rings on? has she divorced Cesar? why does she have those dang wedding rings on?

Nina

We've been so hard on Jose, I guess someone had to step in and defend him. Although I still don't think he deserved it. Not yet. Flavia was a spoiled brat, but she showed some character when dealing with the rest of her family and especially Lucio. Jose may have defended his mother, but based on his behavior so far, this could just be his way of maintaining his connection to Manuel's money rather than a real defense of his mother.

It's possible that he's just young and has inherited weakness from both his parents, but he's old enough to know that stealing is bad, and he certainly can't use lack of funds as an excuse. He's going to have to do a lot of maturing in the next week to earn a lesser anvil.

Kelly

good points about a Jose people good points. he does deserve a chance just like every other dysfunctional person that makes those kinds of mistakes. unfortunately sometimes those second chances come with tragedies, not necessarily a tragedy that will take his life, but it's going to be bad enough I think to change him.
Florida- I like what you said about Dr Marco, in contrast he didn't have biological parents to raise him. but that nurse that raised him at least I think she did she probably put everything into making sure he turned out to be a decent human being in light of knowing how he came to be her adopted son. Lucretia wanted her to kill him after he was born. she grew some courage and decided to do the right thing by him and yes he did have mauro and florencia's DNA , have a good DNA in the world it's not going to help you if you don't have somebody there to guide you and show you the right way to go. case in point- Cesar grew up to be the type of person he is because his mother taught that being deceptive was the right way to go. and now we're watching this monster and his mother spiral out of control. it's too late for them but it's not too late for Jose. But for now he is an annoying little A$$ who will get his comeuppance.

Nina- that's my comment above about Jose.I forgot to put my name under it again. I have a question did George tell Julie yesterday that he has a daughter? because I remember watching it and when he said something she looked very shocked and then the picture froze.

Okay, here comes first part of recap. Gotta do stuff and then the rest will follow!

Thursday, 4-30-14 YOU DROPPED A BOMB ON ME by The Gap Band. Look it up.

Pt. 1

As he was instructed at the butt of a baton, Max meets with the Director of the Prison. The Director was actually going to go easy on Max for this, his first offense in prison but the Director is the first to get the shock that Max wants to officially declare that he is guilty of the murder of Horacio Espinoza. The rest of the episode is essentially the impact of this bomb that Max has dropped. The Director wants Max to understand that this will shorten the proceedings before the Judge on Friday which will essentially turn into a sentence hearing. He could get the maximum of twenty years. Max understands and is sent back to his cell and told that he can’t have any more visitors.

Back in his cell Max tells Mr. Clean that he changed his plea to guilty, that he’d rather do that than have his low-down brother get Amaya’s lands. MC thinks this was unwise but Max thinks he can fight later to prove his innocence. MC invites Max again the join his escape party, Max again declines, MC repeats his threat as Max repeats he is not a snitch.

Amaya’s “Free Max” plan is going forward. Arriaga, the sick man, decides to accept Cesar’s deal. Cesar gets Arriaga’s account number and gives Arriaga instructions on what to say when he accepts the blame for Hor’s murder. Arriaga will report to the police station once the money is deposited.

Let’s go somewhere we might hear something happy! Ah, Jorge is telling Juli about Alexa. Juli looks cautiously excited and surprised and asks Jorge if it isn’t it possible child is not his? Well, in so many words he felt the call of the blood and fell in love with Alexa when he looked in her little eyes and that beautiful smile. Aw, Jorge, your eyes are kinda welling up! If you’re not the Daddy, you ought to be! Anyway, Jorge tells Juli that it is true he said he didn’t want to have children but this little darling exists and he wants to raise her. He tells Juli that he will have to fight for custody of Alexa as the Mom’s Sister, Tania, also wants the little girl. Juli understands Tania’s point of view but enchanted with the idea. Juli thinks Jorge should invite Tania and Alexa to dinner so she can see how they live. (Hey, Jorge was rooming there in Juliana’s house, wasn’t he? I guess he’s still there.) She thinks that once Tania sees him in his natural environment she will see that Jorge will be a WONderful Papa and that her niece is in good hands. She tells Jorge he can count on her for everything he needs in the process and even wants to throw a party for Alexa to welcome her into the family. Jorge thinks a warm welcome from her and Alan will be just fine. (Do the party later, Juli, I think it’s sweet and all you guys need and deserve a party! Hey, you can celebrate Mauro’s return, the miracle of Marco Antonio’s appearance AND Alexa joining the family. Didn’t want to mention those other two people.) I was right. That made me feel happy but, uh oh, Juli’s cell is chiming!

It’s Lic. Iliarte (Max’s Lawyer) calling. Juli gets the “guilty plea bomb”, let’s call it GB. She wants to talk to Max immediately but of course she can’t. She asks Iliarte if he knows why Max changed his plea. He doesn’t but Juli quickly concludes its because of the dirty ZE deal with Cesar. She asks Iliarte to please convince Max NOT to declare before the Judge on Friday; she knows it’s because of Amaya’s lands and she’s taking care of that right now! Iliarte will try!

Over at Nescafe, Caro and Amaya are doing final edits on the 3 in 1 commercial. Well, Caro is. Amaya is distracted, thinking about Max. No worries, Caro will cover for Amaya. Juli calls Amaya and drops the GB. Amaya She stands up in shock and asks why? We only hear Amaya’s side but we know what she’s being told. She wants to run to see Max as well. Amaya hangs up and will agree to meet with Juli later. Amaya fills Caro in on the GB and she knows Max did it so she would not accept Cesar’s dirty ZE deal!

4-20-15 Pt. 2

Right on cue we see the dirty Cesar texting Arriaga that the money has been transferred into his account and he is to report to the police station first thing in the morning to make his declaration of guilt. Cesar’s Secretary comes to tell him his Lawyer called to confirm that it is ok to read the will within the prison so that Max can be present, the reading will be at ten o’clock in the morning. Cesar is strangely civil to the Secretary. Wow!

RPC: Becca gives Hector an apple (yah, right) and Chelo calls her out and makes faces at her. Everyday Becca appreciates Hector more. Gag me.

More happy time! Heriberto and Flavia are so cute the morning after their KISS. Neither could sleep. They make shy goo-goo eyes at each other. The kiss was very important for him and she was pleasantly surprised. Heri gently walks into her personal space and asks her to be his novia. Flavia laughs with nervous delight: No one’s ever asked her that before. She thinks it’s super romantic! She says yes! They slowly close the space between them enjoying the anticipation before surrendering to a tender but passionate kiss that they break for one second to gaze into one another’s eyes before getting lost in the kiss again. (That song, “Cien Porciento Seguro” sure sounds like Uli is singing it. I tried to google it but haven’t found it yet.)

More happiness! Mauro is up and walking with IV pole accompanied by the ever-attentive Marco! Mauro wants to get to Mexico pronto! He knows Juli and Manuel are doing all they can to free Max but HE wants to help and bring this nightmare to an end! Marco tries to calm him down. Marco wants Mauro to read, relax, work on his story of love with Florencia. Mauro visibly dials down at the mention of Florencia. The memoir will no longer be a tragedy: the appearance of Marco Antonio has turned the whole story around. Marco thinks he should publish it. No. No. It’s something very personal he just wants to share with his family, but he will think of it. Well, well, well! Happy on top of Happy! Little Florencia arrives to see her Grandad. She gets a bristly hug and kiss and Mauro gets a cute drawing of himself Florencita made! Mauro tells her about how fine an artist Tio Lucio is. Florencita is excited to meet him and all his crayons!

We check in briefly with Lucio who is with his Teacher in the Directora’s office. Teacher is carrying on about his latest paintings. Lucio can only enter one painting in the upcoming competition and he gets to choose. He brings out two abstract works, one red, one blue. Me and the Directora finally get it: it’s one entry because each painting is one wing and together they make a pair! Awwww!Oh, they’re wings.

Over at the MM the two NOT loving sisters have a little tete a tete. Tomorrow at the reading of the will the Durable Power of Attorney that Elo had over Lucio will be declared null and void. Elo would only get full care of Lucio if both Mauro and Lu died, so Elo asks Lu to let her continue to look after and care for Lucio. Lu roundly and smugly tells her NO and she wouldn’t do it even if Elo begged her on bended knee. To Elo’s charge that Lu is doing this just to hurt her and Lucio, Lu answers that Elo is not important enough in her life for her to try to think up things to hurt her! (uuuf! B word!) Lu reminds Elo that her role in Lucio’s life is going to end after the reading of the will! Elo thinks it’s pitiful how Lu doesn’t care what happens to Max and Lucio. Well, says Lu, Max is going to be out of prison real soon. Even though I know it hurts Elo, she flings the GB at Lu like a weapon and it hits the bulls eye! Lu freaks out over the damage to her prestige to have her son incarcerated! Elo can’t believe that his is all that worries Lu. Elo shakes her head and walks away upstairs. Lu grabs her cell and cries, “Cesar!”. . .

4-30-15 Pt. 3

Jorge, Juli, Amaya and Caro meet in Nescafe to discuss GB. Nothing knew is really revealed: If he declares guilt before the Judge it will be impossible to get him out. Amaya says it’s her fault. Juli says she asked the lawyer to convince him not to change plea. Amaya learns of Max’s fight with Cesar and his subsequent inability to have visitors. Mucho fretting from Amaya.

Iliarte, Max’s Lawyer meets with him in prison and digs him out about the GB. Why did he do it! Max answers that it was the only way he could protect Amaya from Cesar’s blackmail. To Iliarte’s question of how can Cesar keep his end of the bargain, Max doesn’t know but Cesar is capable of anything and worse! Max knows that twenty years in prison will be hell but he WILL NOT have Amaya sacrificed to secure his freedom Iliarte says fine, he hasn’t declared before the Judge, Max could say he felt compelled by Cesar’s threats against Amaya. Max firmly and flatly rejects that plan. Cesar is capable of anything and wouldn’t hesitate to hurt Amaya to seek revenge on her so he prefers to stay there in prison. He doesn’t want to claim temporary insanity for having said he was guilty. Okay. Max’s reasons for the GB don’t make sense to me to the extent that I can’t even understand the Spanish! Anita, Vivi, help me out here! I think he says he will maintain that he is guilty and they will keep looking for proof of his innocence and IF they find it and Amaya is no longer in danger, then, and only then, will he tell the truth.

Juli, leaving the little junta at Nescafe calls Marco. She knows he is with Mauro and asks him not to react at what she is about to tell him. Juli drops the GB on him and asks him to come to DF right now: the reading of the will is first thing in the morning and that’s important but right now they have to save Max!

To be continued

Lila: Thank you very much for the recap on today's episode!

1.) Cesar's got more tricks up his sleeve, he'll try to out-Feo Feo from PSMA.

2.) Juli, Amaya & the Gang are doing everything they can to get Max out of prison.

3.) Luc still needs her HAPPY PILLS LOL! Plus, the martini's she's been drinking lately.

4.) Uli & Cecy Goldilocks being stalkers is getting very disturbing.

5.) I'm hoping Cesar's crooked lawyer gets an anvil for being involved in the atrocities, cover-ups, rigging documents, etc.,

what was the reason for ClingyConnie slapping Amaya? I know it has something to do with Max. she went to visit max. is it because she found out that Max is sacrificing himself so amaya won't lose her land? I was wishing she would slap her back but she probably wouldn't do that because that nasty Be***** is pregnant.Amaya is just to nice.

Nina

Constanzia slapped Amaya ?

WHAT? I'm surprised Amaya didn't go B613 on her, but I guess she's too reserved & classy to strike back.

It's time for Constanzia the BRAT to get a major anvil: whether dying of childbirth or getting killed off!

4-30-15 Pt. 4

Okay. Back to ugliness. Uli calls Ceci who is poolside soaking in some rays with Ivan. We suffer having Ceci flash us with an upskirt as she gets up from her deck chair to take his call. Uli says they will put their plan put in place tomorrow at noon. After Ceci walks away an undercover cop, posing as a waiter, comes up to Ivan who relays that something’s going down tomorrow. Ivan immediately calls Mariana to warn her not to leave home for any reason. Neither of them suspects Vale is in danger. Apparently the cops don’t either. Dang it!

Amaya goes to Cesar’s office and they have a shouting match about the GB and the dirty ZE deal. That Max has dropped the GB is HER problem, not his: for all he cares, Max can ROT in prison but SHE is going to give him the ZE, dammit! She thinks their contract is null and void as she has no proof he found a pigeon to confess to Hor’s murder. Cesar shows her the print out of the money transfer to Arriaga’s account and even calls and speaks to him on speaker phone. Arriaga got the deposit and is prepared to go to the police station first thing in the morning. Cesar tells him to hold off, do it day after tomorrow. He’s got to resolve some things. He hangs up, satisfied, and tells Amaya they will meet in front of a notary tomorrow at five at which time she will cede the ZE as they agreed and only THEN will Arriaga declare himself responsible for Hor’s murder! NO WAY, goes Amaya. She ain’t signing nothin’ until Arriaga declares himself guilty and Max changes his declaration. Cesar counters: YOU WILL DO IT MY WAY. If not, Max will pay the consequences and you will be responsible not only for his 20-year sentence but for his death as well. How? Amaya asks weakly. “Puhleeez. Just like I got somebody to cop a guilty plea I can get somebody else who, for a few pesos, will be responsible for the death of my brother.” Horror floods Amaya’s eyes and face. “You wouldn’t really do that.” “No? You want me to prove it to you.” If she doesn’t want Max hurt, she will do things the way he says. She REALLY did not know the kind of monster Cesar is so she has to ask him why he is capable of such evil. It’s because he does not conform to mediocrity. HE WANTS IT ALL!

Marco tells Mauro he has to go to DF. Mauro will be in charge of one of his medical colleagues and Mauro’s wife, Nuera, and Florencita will take care of him. Mauro gets choked up to hear Marco call him “Papa” and asks him to say it again. Marco says “You are my Papa, not just in name, but from my heart because in these days we have shared together I have come to love you and love you a lot.” He kisses his Papa on the cheek and they share a tender hug. Awwwwww! These two are just so heart warming, aren’t they?

A nearly panicked and tearful Amaya meets with Juli to tell her Cesar will have Max killed in prison if she doesn’t cede the lands tomorrow at five o’clock! Juli tries to calm her and tells her that Max is not going to stay in prison and they will demonstrate that his guilty plea was made under duress. Juli tells Amaya to let Cesar think she’s going to keep the appointment something unexpected has happened that will assure that Cesar CANNOT sign to receive the lands. Amaya wants to know why. Juli can’t tell her now but soon she and EVERYbody will know! Juli hugs Amaya but looks more than a little worried. Jeez, what stress!

4-30-15 Pt. 5

Ah, here’s something else that’s going right: We get a tour of the warehouse and coffee processing plant where Jorge floats around beaming at the smooth operations from the beginning to the end of the production of 3 in 1. Jorge holds a box of the finished product, examining (and showing it to us) from all angles. The Novela as the commercial itself! Brilliant! I don’t even mind this product placement. Well done, Nescafe!

Our new couple Heri and Flavia have found another excuse to kiss. Flavia gets a call and has to go to the DF. Heri wants to come, but this is not the time. MMMmmmmm-MUAH!!

Max thought bubbles in prison that if Cesar killed Hor, then he will be the most interested in him (Max) or anyone else taking blame for that crime. He will not let Cesar win; ojala that they can find something to put the authorities on his tail! Even though he is in prison he will continue to fight to find a way to prove his innocence and make Cesar pay for all his crimes!

Connie tries to visit Max and is turned away and not given a reason why. She immediately calls Iliarte and he drops the GB on her. Connie concludes that this is all Amaya’s fault. You can see the steam coming out of her nose and ears!

Through talking with his Secretary on the phone and examining his latest bank transactions over the internet, Manuel discovers a check in payment for a publicity campaign his company did, that should have been deposited was not and is missing. He draws the right conclusion and calls Geno immediately! He asks to speak to jose. Well, jose is not there. He cuts to the chase: Their is robbing them!

We get a brief shot of jose paying his (guapo, Moreno) friend the rest of the money he owed for souping up his car. Everything is set for the race Saturday!

Cesar meets with Arriaga. Cesar tells him his brother declared guilty. He wants to cancel the contract and the money returned. Nuh unh! Arriaga has already transferred the money to his wife’s account in a bank outside of the country. No, he’s not going to return the money! He tells Cesar HE is the one cancelling the contract so HE will assume the responsibility. “Aren’t you the one who said, there’s no turning back?” Arriaga asks Cesar. Uh oh. I don’t think Arriaga knows he is getting the glare of death!

Now. Not that I don’t like to see her suffer but I don’t want Lu to go free with a crazy card. Anyway, Lu is on the bed hearing her voices and by her double image, she must be dizzy. She thinks she hears Florencia and Mauro, she thinks they’re together. Ghostly Mauro voice answers “Yes, we’re together.” And they both chant asesina, asesina, asesina!” Lu clutches her pillow and rocks.

Flavia waits at the airport when Marco arrives and greets her by name. They chat but I’m stepping on the gas right now, another Recapper’s Priveldge! It’s a cute scene, he explains that he has met members of her family but she is somewhat uncomfortable when he invites himself to chat with her while they await their flight. Feel free to fill in: I want to watch Sombra and dinner duties call!

In our last scene we have Connie arriving at Nescafe. She asks where is Amaya’s office and charges in before the Secretary can stop her. Connie cuts to the chase as well: “For your fault Max declared guilty, my baby will not have a father, you don’t know how I hate you! Connie delivers a round house slap upside Amaya’s shocked head. Amaya grabs her face and looks at Connie with shock and pain. AND FREEZE!!

Thank you for your appreciation, Steve! All parts are up now. You must be watching in the Pacific Time Zone, Steve, because you obviously had not seen the episode yet. You should've seen it by now.

Nina, you were right in what you guessed about why Connie slapped Amaya. It was that and built up frustration that Max still loves Amaya despite everything and SHE hasn't been able to win him over even with carrying his baby.

Okay. Gotta go do stuff, see y'all later. Have at it!

Got home late and haven't seen the epi yet. Had to sneak a peek at your great recap, Lila.

So glad about Heri and Flavia, and Juli's response to the Alexa news. Not pleased about what Max is doing.

Arriaga is my new favorite person! Loved his "now what are ya' gonna do about it?" expression to Little Cesar. I just hope he survives this. He should probably get out of town, pronto.

It would be nice if Max would just shut up and trust his lawyer, even though Cesar has now uped the ante by threatening his life rather than just his freedom. Can't wait for everyone to meet the new hermano! But I'm surprised she didn't give Amaya a little head's up. She's blabbed about everything else, so why not the existence of Marco?

Kelly

Arriaga doesn't care about getting killed because he's dying anyway. That's why he was willing to make the prison deal in the first place.

That's right! I forgot. Maybe that's why he looked like he was daring Cesar to do something. He's still my favorite in this episode.

Kelly

max has anger management issues, and he's really acting stupid where amaya is concerned. but I guess maybe I understand because he's in prison, he can't move around very much and Caesar didn't help coming there egging him on. but that was really stupid, confessing. Klingy conny slapped the wrong person.
Lila--is 3-n-1 a real product and the tn is an ad ? that would be really cool!!! What exactly is 3-n-1? I know it's coffee, does it have chocolate or fruit in it? Does anyone know? I tried to get this on twice before, I don't think it made it on but if it did somebody can just delete the first two.great recap Lila, absolutely wonderful. tomorrow's going to be a doozy but I probably won't see it, I have to work and I'll get home late. recappers rock!!!!!!

Nina

Thanks, Vivi! The really did mix in a lot of happy with the thrilling, chilling and sickening! Heri and Flav ARE cute and Juli and Jorge are the best couple ever!

Thanks, Nina! Yes, 3 in 1 is a real product. I have dietary issues with cofee but I'd love to try just one cup! Yeah, the whole novela is pretty much a Nescafe commercial but it works!

:D

Behind again
If it weren't for the weekend I'd never get caught up
Thanks Anita and Sara for the Mon & Tues recaps
hoping to read& watch the rest soon
I'll be back when I'm caught up

oh and Sara I liked the Max tells Amaya she's an idiot and Max thanks Amaya for being an idiot lines - they made me laugh`

I am deeply conflicted about Jorge and his daughter I don't know what I want to happen with this. I think the tia is sincere but so is Jorge (and he's cuter)

Lila- Thanks again for this wonderful recap!

Loved the scenes of Mauro and little Flor, and Heri and Flavia. I've also meant to mention that I love that Mariana has such complete faith in her man that she hasn't once gotten jealous about Ivan hanging out in a hotel suite with a woman who is trying to jump his bones.

I wish Connie weren't pregnant so that Amaya would slap her back. But she won't slap a pregnant woman. I did love Connie's necklace though. Green, just like the shade she is turning with jealousy.

Cute scene in the airport with Marco excited to finally meet Flavia, and she wondering who this weirdo is, and if he's trying to come on to her, prompting him to flash his wedding band. I'm sure they'll laugh about once Flavia learns the truth.

Just caught up yesterday. Many thanks to Corazón and Lila. I was able to FF a bit and catch the info in the recap.

Heri and Flavia are darling together.

Both Amaya and Max are being idiots.

You're welcome Vivi and Sara. Yes, there WAS a lot of cuteness yesterday! A very nice balance.

ITA about wishing Amaya could slap Connie back AND that Max and Amaya are being stupid!

I still don't get how Max thinks staying in jail is a good option for protecting Amaya?

TODAY'S GOING TO BE GOOOOOD!!! Unless they tricked us and showed us a preview of something that's going to happen next week!

Oh boy! Well, off to work!

Yes today is going to be good! Can't wait to curl up with my Starbucks (my Friday treat) and watch!

OT- When QA ends there will be two hours of La Rosa de Guadalupe. According to a Univision source this is temporary and a new novela will start in early June. No word on what it will be.

Someone (not Connie) needs to slap both Max and Amaya and tell them to CALM down and stop making rash decisions! Juli has told them both that she has this in control and that they will find another way, but they both refuse to listen. Max deciding to declare himself guilty, and potentially deprive his child of his father, is crazy. I'd be tick if I were Connie too, but not at Amaya. At Max.

Lila: Thank you very much for the recap of yesterday's episode!

Max deciding to plead guilty is very disappointing, while Cesar continues to wreak havoc all over Mexico City.

Amaya has class NOT to slap a pregnant woman!

Lila,

Detailed and clever recap.
Thanks for all of your time and sticking with this to the end.

I'm sure the ending will be beautiful, but I am afraid they are not leaving enough time for all of the good things. There are still so many bad things to eliminate. I thought this episode was very frustrating with all the confusion between Max and Amaya etc.

Where are Alexa and Tania holed up?
Didn't they travel with Jorge? Presumably, they are staying in a hotel until Jorge has an opportunity to present them -- although now is not a convenient time.

I, too, am hoping for big things tonight.

Lila - LOVE THIS!

She gets a BRISTLY HUG and kiss and Mauro gets a cute drawing of himself Florencita made! Mauro tells her about how fine an artist Tio Lucio is. Florencita is
excited to meet him and all his crayons!

Vivi, that was a funny scene in the airport. You nailed it. Flavia was probably wondering who the WEIRDO was that knew so much about her and her family.

Well, I guess my theory about Jorge and Juli adopting Connie's baby is now out the window. Another child is in the picture instead...and what a precious child she is, and just the right age to be a playmate for little Florencia.

And so far no car crash for Sal.

I still, however, think that the baby is Sal's. Perhaps Connie
will finally mature and raise the baby on her own even if Sal does not meet his demise. There's no way she's going back with him
permanently.

I am sure you have noticed that although Max would be a good and loving father to his alleged child
he shows no real enthusiasm for the idea.

Lila, do you work everyday or part time?

All the best,

Hi, Y'all! I'm cheating at work. .shhhhh.. . didn't see all of your comments but will read them when I get home.

I did see this from Floridia. Floridia I work five days a week, 30 hours per week so its kinda part time, pushing full!

Talk to you later, can't wait to jump into the conversation this afternoon!

;D Lila

Lila--Wonderful, wonderful, as always. Thank you for the recap.

In the midst of some family issues (not bad ones) that is taking up my time, so I'm not contributing as much to the comments--which others covered very adequately.

I wonder if in the end Marco and his family will relocate to Mexico City or if he will stay in Chiapas and Flavia/Heri stay there and Max/Amaya move there permanently. Will Mauro want to stay in Mexico City with Elo and Lucio? Where will Juliana/Jorge settle?.....hmmmm the possibilities are endless. It looks like we are lining up a QUADruple boda and that's not counting Geno and Manuel!

Floridia--Just one response to your suggestion that Max isn't that interested in his child. He very much was at first, going to the ultrasounds, talking about the baby, etc.

This last scene of Consta and Max where she showed him the still pictures, he'd already learned that Amaya was getting divorced and his head was filled with possibilities of being with her.

I'll give him a pass for now. Actually, he didn't seem very animated to see Consta either.

Unless something very unusual happens, I think we've seen the last of Sal. Wish we could say the same of Uli.

Anita,

I agree; Max was more enthusiastic earlier. He does have a few problems now that cloud everything.

Anita again,

I picture the family all moving to the country to be near the land....on a big family compound.

I suppose they could have apts. in the city for business.

Floridia--Love the thought. We'll see if they go for it. Lord knows El P. is big enough to have several compounds far enough from each other they can't see in each other's windows at night.

Oh, and Ivan and Mari can move into El Deseo (they buy it at a bankruptcy auction) and ... and ... who gets Cipriano's house?

Dolores made it a home, so I think Amaya should have it.

Thank you, Anita, Florida, Sara and Steve.

Floridia, I agree there's not going to be a lot of time for reveling in happy endings: maybe they think only Evil gets good ratings! At least give us one episode of pure, unadulterated JOY!!!!

Ok. I know I sound really cold-hearted sometime, but this is an outlet, where imaginations can run free. With that disclaimer, here goes:

For the umpteenth time I maintain that I can't see Max and Amaya together as long as Connie is alive. Either she will die in childbirth or somehow it will be found out that the baby is not Max's. Perhaps another DNA test will be linked to the baby's getting his Montesino shares. But the baby will be found to be Sals's and that will be Max's last straw with Connie. He will REFUSE to repeat the mistake his Papa did and will tell her "Tanks, but not tanks," and marry Amaya and she will give them the baby and go far, far away!

Jose is so going down in a street race. I'm sorry, Floridia. I gave him his capital letter back. But seriously, my family, unfortunately, is full of wayward, misguided young men so I should be ashamed of myself for my prediction but I kinda put blinders on to personal issues on this particular character. I just feel the writers are going to "punish" Jose for his disrespectful, entitled and dishonest behavior AND punish his Parents for their adultery and neglectful upbringing by killing him.

Now. That being said I am totally unable to separate my own personal experience with developmental disability when it comes to Lucio. I don't think the writers have time to have him institutionalized. Things are moving fast and furious!

Sara, I kinda hope the next show is baaaad because I got so much stuff to do but, we'll see!

Ups! Show Tiiiiime!

Can someone please tell me why is Luc holding onto her purse ?

Lila- You might have to put off some of that stuff, like work. Anita- I don't think they all have to live in the same city. It doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone to jet back and forth whenever they want. Must be nice, right? Steve- That purse must be a security blanket for Lu. It's where she keeps her sanity.

So I have the recap done, but can wait until a little later to post and give people time to watch. We have all weekend!

Kelly

Wow! Cool, Kelly! Thanks!

getting caught up slowly just read CorazonSalvaje there you got a tough episode lots of Jose and the prison fight but you did a great recap and filled in when I ff>d
For some reason I couldn't stand to see Max find out what his bro did to Amaya

Ok so even if I don't want something horrible to happen to Jose anymore thanks to Floridia, is it still ok to ff> him 'cause he's still annoying?

I'm watching my recording now. You got a great episode, Kelly!

Oops. Forgot to say I can't wait to read the comments!

Friday, cap. 157, pt. 1
It’s getting harder to keep up with everything that is going on. Rewinding just messes things up, so with some scenes I didn’t bother. Fill in or correct as needed. It’s a good one and totally worth the carpal tunnel from trying to take all the notes!

-Nescafe Offices-
The slap. My baby is going to grow up without a father and it’s all your fault! (Max is apparently incapable of making his own decisions). Cons wants her muy lejos de both of them. Amaya says everything she’d done was to help and she’d never do anything to hurt Max. Cons tells her she’s had the opposite effect and all she’s ever done is hurt them (them? Or just you, Cons?) since she crossed their paths (their?). First you ruined my relationship with Max, then the thing with Cesar, and now Max is in jail. Amaya again tells her the intentions were good. Cons says she’ll never leave Max’s side and she won’t permit Amaya to hurt them more. She storms out. (Someone here has blocked the memory of a called-off wedding).

-Jail-
Iliaga (the good lawyer) and Max talk. The lawyer is going to talk to the warden to see if the will reading can happen even though Max can’t currently have visitors. As I understand it, Max doesn’t want the will read because it means accepting his father’s death.

-Back to Nescafe-
Caro is talking with her new beau, they smootch, and Amaya comes in and interrupt. She mentions the visit from Cons, and the new good boyfriend leaves them alone to talk. Amaya thinks that Constanza is right, but Caro reminds her that it’s Lu and Cesar who are responsible for all this mess.

-Constanza-
One her way out, she calls Manuel to bitch about that mosca muerta (hypocrite, acts innocent but isn’t). Manuel points out what Amaya is giving up to help free Max, and Cons gets pissy that he’s taking her side. He says no, but he thinks it’s wrong for her to have so much anger towards Amaya. As she heads into the parking lot, she starts having baby pains.

-Juliana’s-
Jorge, Tia Tania, and Alexa get to the house. Juli welcomes little Alexa as warmly as you’d expect, and Alexa asks if she’s her father’s girlfriend. Elo shows up with Lucio and everyone meets everyone else. Tania looks concerned. Lucio wants to take Alexa to go play, but Tania stops her. She hedges a little, but finally says she doesn’t think Lucio has the capability to watch her properly. Juli and Jorge say he’s fine, and they go outside. Elo asks Juliana about Max and mentions jail, and now Tania looks VERY concerned.

-Manuel’s Mansion-
Jose gets back home and greets his parents in the office. He wasn’t at work because he was relaxing and hanging with friends. “Ahhh”, says Manuel, understandingly. But then he stops faking nice and orders Jose to sit down and get his dang feet off the desk. He asks about the check. Yells, really. He knows Jose had it and it was cashed, but Jose pleads innocence, denying any involvement. “Fine. I won’t accuse you of anything”. But he is going to investigate with the bank and if Jose did have something to do with this, it won’t go well. Then he demands the keys back. Jose argues that he won’t be threatened and Manuel has no authority over him. Manuel is stunned. (This is why I don’t pardon Jose’s behavior. He may be a dumb teenager who makes bad decisions, but he goes above and beyond just stupid to complete a$$). Geno goes to him and tries to talk sense into him (good luck with that). If he has nothing to fear, then what’s the problem? But he’s not giving in and the car is his. He leaves with Geno yelling after him and Manuel sighing in frustration. Geno wants Manuel to follow but he refuses. Manuel is ready to let him leave the house and he can figure things out on his own. (Good).

Friday, cap. 157, part 2

-Nora’s-
Cons is lying down on her couch and Nora tells her she needs to take care of herself. (This is a convo I missed details of. Pulling Recapper’s Privilege to not have to rewind). Nora wants her to chill out about Amaya or something. I wish I understood Constanza’s response, because I’m pretty sure it’s classic Cons. Basically, she’s just so stressed about Max and the baby. Nora is very sympathetic, but tells her not to make things worse. Cons still thinks she and Max have a destiny together.

-Neutral coffee shop-
Jorge and Tania argue about Alexa. Tania holds Lucio against him. (She may have a valid reason for trying to get custody but they really don’t want us to like her). She also doesn’t like his girlfriend having a brother in jail. She wants to take Alexa. Jorge calms down but tells her she should return to Miami because now it’s he who doesn’t want her near his daughter.

-Juliana’s-
Flavia is there now talking with Elo and Juli about Jorge. They noticed Tania’s attitude with Lucio, and Elo apologizes for bringing up Max in front of her. But Juli is fine with it. Max is her brother and she won’t stop standing by him. Flavia says something about Heriberto that Elo picks up on right away. Flavia tells them they are novios and everyone is happy for her. Yeah!

-Jail the next day-
The good part of the family is there and greet Max with hugs and kisses. Juliana gets on him about NOT going on with his “admit blame” plan. But he says he has his reasons and she should understand. She does of course, but begs him to recoant. The lawyer shows up with Lu and Cesar and there is much less hugging. Cesar is ready to get on with the reading of the will.
-Meanwhile, in Chiapas-
Mauro is talking to Angela, his new nuera, about how they must be reading the will now. She holds his hand and tries to comfort him that it’ll all work out.
-Back to the jail-
The lawyer starts. 50% goes to Lu, cash, property, and Nescafe shares. The other half gets divided among all the kids equally. Lu points out that it’s very clear, so questions? Nope. But Max notes that they are still looking for Mauro. Cesar, however, wants to start divvying up the money right away. Lu also wants to stipulate that Cesar can have control of her shares in Nescafe, along with Lucio’s. Que??, from Flavia. Lu thinks he’s the most capable and the decision is done. Cesar is cooly fine with it, and makes his position in the family clear. But then! But then Marco enters the room! He greets them, and since most of them know him, they ask the doctor what he’s doing there. Lu just stares in absolute shock as Elo says he looks just like Mauro! Lu asks the room who this guy is, while Juliana smirk, just waiting for the anvil to hit the fan. “Soy Marco Antonio Linares, but really I’m the daughter of Mauro and Florencia and I’m here to claim my rights”. Now everyone is shocked. Cesar jumps up and declares him to be an imposter! Lu agrees, but she still mostly looks worried, and she says that that baby died. Marco apologizes (for not being dead), but he has proof. Elo says again that he looks just like Mauro when he was young. Cesar still doesn’t believe him, but marco hands overa letter from Mauro declaring this to be true, which Cesar promptly rips up. Max yells at him for this, but Marco steps between them and says it’s fine. That letter was just a copy and he has copies for everyone. The original notarized letter is with his lawyer. Max looks happier than he has in a long time, and I don’t think it’s because he has a new brother, as he reads the letter out loud to everyone (but especially Cesar). It’s from Mauro declaring Marco to be his and Florencia’s son, and he is made part of Mauro’s will.

-Quick break to Tania-
She talks to a lawyer about getting custody of Alexa. The lawyer tells her it’ll be a difficult case. She doesn’t care. She wants him to do everything possible.

Friday, cap. 157, part 3

-Best day in jail ever!-
Max passes off the letter and hugs Marco. Lu asks about the letter and how Mauro could have signed it before he dies. Marco tells her details aren’t important now. What is important is that I’m not an imposter as Cesar says. Marco also has dna proof that he hands to Flavia, who has been staring at him in wonder. Cesar gripes about Marco calling Mauro “papa”, and Juliana looks at him with great amusement. Flavia tells the room that the dna says it’s so. Cesar still won’t accept it. Marco offers to have another dna test done with him or any one of the siblings. He’s claiming his share. Cesar looks like his head is going to explode from rage and Lu is having serious stress.

-quick Ivan plot update-
Ceci and Ivan are at the hotel. Ceci can’t cancel her appointment. She’s going and Ivan will wait for her. She says they can go back to the finca soon, and Ivan will get to that clinic today. But who cares. Because…

-How great is this day?!?-
Cesar doesn’t believe the letter and he won’t do a dna test as proof, of course. (But then he wouldn’t, would he?) Flavia volunteers though! As does Juliana and Max. Max looks very pleased with all this, and tells Cesar he’ll just have to accept it. “You can’t tell me what to do” is basically Little Cesar’s response. Marco is willing to do the test with whomever, but for now, he wants in on the will. “En serio?”,asks Little Tiny Cesar of max. “You’re going to support this stranger?” Welp, the paper says he’s my brother! Whaddya gonna do? (He has the same “suck it you jerk, I dare you to do something” happy face that Arriaga had the other day). Cesar thinks his father must have been demented to do this, and now Juli breaks her own happy face to yell at him for saying this. Lu, meanwhile, has put on her dark glasses to hide, what, fear? She’s had enough and tells Marco that he’s provoked a division in the family. Both Max and Favia are like, oh please, mama. Max says the family has been divided for a long time. Lu gets up, storms over to Marco, and tells him he’s not getting anything belonging to her kids; he’s an imposter. Marco very calmly states that they’ll have to put it all in the hands of the law and of science. The lawyer tells them that while the will is disputed, no one gets anything. Juli wants to do whatever tests to prove Marco is a brother, and she gives Cesar a very pointed look. Cesar and Lu leave, but not before Lu declares that Mauro is dead, she’s sure of it, and you (Marco) aren’t taking his place. Max has his arm around Marco and welcomes him to the family. NOW he’s happy about having a brother.

-Pfft-
Uli and the henchmen watch Valeria’s school.

-Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!-
The good part of the family still there sits down with Marco. They can’t believe he;s the sone of their father and Amaya’s mother. Max asks why he didn’t say anything earlier in the hospital, but Marco didn’t know then. Elo tells him again that he looks just like Mauro and that’s why she has no doubts about him. Then Max looks at Juliana. “You knew”, and that’s why she didn’t want him dong anything stupid. She admits it and tells him that Amaya couldn’t give up her lands for his freedom because they aren’t just hers. They’re Marco’s as well. Max wants to know how she knew. But that’ll come later. For now, Max won’t admit fault in Horacio’s death knowing that Amaya’s lands are protected. Marco will see to that. But Max doesn’t understand how he met Marco. When? Where? It had to be in Chiapas before Mauro disappeared. Look, he’ll give them all the details later, but the important thing is that everyone believes that he is their brother. Sadly, the jailers some to take Max away and everyone has to leave. Boooo, jailers.

Friday, cap. 157, part 4

-Outside the jail-
Lu is frantically telling Cesar that sure the nurse took care of this! She thinks Florencia is behind all of this (tee hee), and then she starts hearing voices, having trouble breathing, and holding her left arm. She thinks Flor is watching them (tee hee again), and she has a breakdown or heart attack or something. Later, Cesar has brought her to a hospital. The nurse says she had a panic attack and will have to stay a few hours. She can go home later that night, but will need a shrink because she’s all paranoid.

-Ceci/Uli plot-
Ceci rents a car. She texts Uli to meet wherever they planned. He’s sure everything will be fine. They cops are with Ivan, watching from another car. Somehow Hector managed to get 3 detectives on this case. They all go somewhere where we see Uli hiding behind a wall, waiting for Ceci. She has gotten out, and one of the cops gets out to follow her. While the secret cop car (not marked) is turning around, Uli makes a dash to Ceci’s car and gets in the back, staying ducked down. The cops don’t see him, and Ivan wonders if she’s really meeting Uli there. She’s inside the building ordering coffee. The other cop follows her back out, gets in the car, and tells them he didn’t see anything. Ceci realizes Uli is in her car, but doesn’t do anything to tip off the cop car.

-Back at Juliana’s-
Elo explains Marco to Lucio, who is all excited, but wants to know if he’s malo like Cesar or Bueno like Max. He’s Bueno. They chat about Cesat. But enough! Elo wants to know from Marco how Mauro found out about him. Marco hedges and calls it a coincidence. Amaya gets there with Mariana and sees the doc. They greet him with surprise, and he greets Amaya fondly. Juliana insisted he be there, and asks if Amaya remembers the baby they all thought was dead. Yes, his tomb is in Comitan. But what’s the doc got to do with this? Juli tells her the baby isn’t in the tomb. The baby is the doctor. That’s can’t be the truth, Amaya responds. It is, and hugs Marco while crying about her hermano. (And now I’m going to start crying. Ugh. This show!) Amaya can’t believe it, but understands now why she felt the way she did when they first met. But how did you find out? He doesn’t day. Amaya can’t stop crying and wants to know everything. Juli notes that they all have a lot of talking to do. Except now Amaya has to pick up Vale at school. She thought she’d only be here a minute. Juli offers to send her driver, but Amaya wants to go. She tells Mariana to stay at Juli’s for her safety. She hugs Marco again, and Juli points out that ZE isn’t all hers, meaning Cesar can’t take it. She’s do happy! Not a word about having to share her inheritance!

-Nescafe Office-
Cesar however, oozes into the office, thinking to himself that no one will take his rightful place. Marcia, Marci..I mean Marco, Marco, Marco. Cesar thought bubbles that if that guy is telling the truth, Cesar will “take care” of him. No one is taking what he spent so much time building. Maldito, Mauro. He hopes his father is in hell and says he hates him.

Friday, cap. 157, part 5

-Juliana’s-
She calls Mauro to give him an update that all went well and Marco was welcomed (mostly). She just wants him to stay calm and everything will work out fine. Marco startles her after she’s hung up, and he’s glad she called Mauro. They’re ready for the next part of the plan.

-Jail-
The lawyer talks to Max about his being innocent. There are some things they have in their favor, like no fingerprints on a weapon, Hor was hit by a lefty and Max is right-handed, and at the hour of Hor’s call to the police, Max was leaving the building. Positivity for a change!

-Next part of the plan-
Marco calls Cesar to tell him that Zona Estrella won’t be his because they aren’t Amaya’s/ They belong to Flroencia and she’s alive! Cara de miserable de Cesar.

-Vale’s school-
Ceci and Uli have a pic of Vale as they wait outside the school. Cops and Ivan are still watching from another car. Amaya gets there and greets the neighbor from across the hall, the one who knows something but hasn’t told yet. But then she says she didn’t say anything the other day because her husband didn’t want her getting involved, but she has to tell her……Vale runs out and interrupts. They have to go and there’s someone she needs to meet. But what were you saying? They send their girls off so they can chat. We see the bad guy photog behind the girls. The neighbor tries again: But what you don’t know is before leaving…And then someone (planned by Uli I assume) runs by and grabs her purse. She screams and everyone is distracted while bad photog guy grabs Vale with his hand over her mouth. Ivan jumps out of the car and yells to Vale to save her!. Ceci yells wanting to know what he’s doing there! Amaya yells that someone is taking her kid!

And now that recapcha has made me cycle through every food that there is, I have to go eat. Happy weekend, everyone!
Kelly

Sneaky,

Thanks for having a heart
with regards to José. Remember, I did say that he is a PUNK, so fast forward all you want.

I am hoping at the last minute before the race, he is going to have an epiphany. He is going to slowly become contrite and start respecting his parents. They do not deserve to be punished by his death.

He is the product of his parents, both of whom have strengths and weaknesses. Genoveva is a kind, loving doormat, and reliable, trustworthy employee. Manuel is a loyal friend, smart businessman, bad parent, and unfaithful husband.

José has spent years pulling the wool over his mother's eyes. It is difficult to change, but I predict he will.

Connie will also change as I mentioned last time. She will become independent finally -- and raise Sal's baby on her own until
she meets Mr. Right -- if she meets Mr. Right. It would be good for her to seek a change of venue,
but she may stay so that Manuel can be near his grandchild.

Since Manuel is Mauro's close friend, I cannot see anything bad happening to his family. This would hurt Mauro too much to see his friend so devastated.

Amaya can hold her head up high with Max's love. The persona of Connie will not matter to her.
Connie will be outed and then learn to overcome that shame within the confines of her own family who have all made mistakes.

As usual, I am very sure of what I think will happen, and then am often proven wrong. I've been eating humble pie for days now and full to the brim with it because Sal did not meet his demise in a car crash. Somehow or other though, I do not think we have seen the last of Good Ol Sal.

Connie and Manuel can remain in the city. Amaya and Max and all of the children will be on their beloved land.

Oh, and if El Deseo belonged to Ulysses, I doubt that Mariana would
want to set one foot in it.

Thanks, Kelly!

I was writing my last post while you put up the recap, so it has nothing to do with the latest episode.

Now on to the recap ......

Well done and very speedy.
Wow! This episode for me was
one of the three best:

1. The sensational night of romance for Amaya and Max.

2. The reunion of Max, Marco and little Florencia ...and now this.

I will even watch it again over the weekend.

Next week should be fast moving and fabulous.

Thanks again, Kelly.

thanks for that recap kell you are a good storyteller. I really enjoyed the recap. I didn't see the episode because I got home late I'm going to try and see the capitula 157 later. enjoy your weekend.

Nina

Nina- You are better than I am. I got home late, and still needed to get my QA fix before bed. :) Might have to rewatch it since I was so sleepy. But Kelly's amazing recap has helped bring all the great details back.

Loved part 1 of The Plan. Loved seeing Cesar and Lu completely thrown off their game and sent into a panic. So now they think Marco and Florencia are a team. Ha!

Only upsetting thing was seeing Uli get so close to nabbing Val, but i have faith that Ivan and the cops will put a stop to it and catch Uli once and for all.

Nice to see Manuel try to talk sense into both of his entitled children. We'll see if both or either gets it together by the end.

And finally, LOVED how all the siblings welcomed Marco, and how happy Amaya was to learn that her only brother is alive.

Amaya & Marco both crying & hugging: AWWWWWW :)

Florencia would be proud of her babies!

Have to rush out, but Kelly, thank you mucho for the recap. I could tell you were in a happy place when you wrote this.

One thing: The evidence the lawyer has so far on Max's innocence has one detail missing. It could be important. Yes, Hor was hit by a lefty, but it's the fact that Max's left hand had been injured (socking Cesar and Horacio, I guess) and he couldn't use it. Max corroborated that.

Since we're so close to the end, I think Vale's kidnapping will be foiled and Amaya's neighbor will be able to tell what she saw. Speculation, but pretty much a no-brainer.

So, are we all anxiously waiting to see how Jose fares? NOT?

Be back later.

Thank you, Kelly.

So much to talk about, be back when I've earned more time after yard and house work.

Just want to say that I agree they want us to hate Tania. I can totally see her wanting to raise her sister's child and her being leery of the man who planted the seed during a one night stand five years ago. And this is before she met the family.

I still can understand her being very concerned about Lucio and the Montesinos having a son in prison charged with murder. Absolutely get this.

Where they are trying to get us to hate her is, of course, they know WE know Lucio is a sweetheart and Max is innocent but Tania called Lucio a derogatory term at least twice that took several long beeps to blot out and the caption was blanked out as well. That was on Univision. I need to watch it on hulu+ to see if they gave it the same treatment. I don't excuse the slur she used for Lucio but even given that I can see her point of view. She doesn't know these people: this does not look good AT ALL!

Now. Parents of children and young adults with developmental disabilities are all different like everyone else but when one has a young son like Lucio, one realizes that he is also vulnerable due to the difference in the way he thinks and expresses himself. It was inappropriate for Elo and Juli to insist that Lucio go outside to play unsupervised with little Alexa when they had just met each other. Why? Not because Lucio would hurt her but none of them know Alexa nor have any idea how she would respond to a young man with the affect and expression of a much younger person. Alexa could have become frightened at something innocent Lucio said or just generally uncomfortable by Lucio's manner of being and become upset. It is unfair to have exposed Lucio to this possibility and it was absolutely unnecessary. . .except for the plot: to show how unreasonable and prejudiced Tania is. I don't think she was being unreasonable or prejudiced at all.

Now, Elo was also totally out of place to come in and start blabbing about Max and prison and such. Ok, also a plot device but you know what? I don't care WHAT the family member was in prison for, my antennae are going to go on high alert with the word "prison." Tania was there specifically to see what kind of home her little niece was going to and Jorge and Juli and Elo DID NOT make a good, but rather a scary impression.

She didn't have to slur Lucio, but I ain't mad at her. Jorge should have done a little more prep but hey, he didn't know he was going to Panama to pick up a kid. All in all, they'll have to make the best of it and we know Jorge is going to win in the end.

Ok. I'm out!

Lila- I agree with your comment on Tania. Although her delivery could have been better, and less slur-filled, I understand her feelings. And it was totally out of line for Elo and Juli to go into brother in prison talk in front of her like that.

Vivi, I couldn't believe Elo, that's why I hope to gosh they are able to carry through their plan without her blabbing that Mauro is alive!

LOVED the Marco reveal and EVERYone's reaction, including Cesar and Lu. Cesar WISHES he could get rid of Marco by just ripping up a piece of paper! This was one of the greatest foilings of a baddie's plan I have EVA seen! I'm glad Lu had a panic attack but I agree with whoever said it first that she SHOULD NOT get off with the crazy card!

Floridia, love your musings about where everybody will live. I just hope they give us at least one episode full of love and happily ever afters.

Speaking of the writers wanting us to hate people, I think they want us to hate Jose. That's all I'll say: I've carried on about him already!

And the kidnapping. If they don't get Val immediately I'm gonna be really pissed! They're all right there and saw it go down! I hate Vale even having to suffer an attempt! Let Uli die in a gun battle Monday already y ya! Basta!

Can't wait to hear what the rest of y'all think! But first, a snack and a nap!

Lila--Beautifully laid out depiction of the Tania-Alexa-Lucio-Elo situation. That could apply to anyone, not even a developmentally disabled person.

I remember as a 3 year old visiting with my parents at the home of a perfectly normal person and his family that my parents knew, but there was something about him that scared me terribly and it wasn't even a matter of going anywhere with him alone. We have pictures of him in family albums and those same feelings come back when I see him. It wasn't a matter of an adult male. I happily interacted with many at that age.

The writers should have checked with you before writing the scene, Lila!

I'm conflicted over Jose. I do not like him at all. We were meant not to like him at the very beginning. Although after the first real brush with the law, it was his best opportunity to show some remorse and gratitude to his father--who suborned a witness to get him out. He still feels entitled to everything in the world Consta got and more. I saw his ears prick up when Consta mentioned the apartment Manuel had given her (and Max), so I wasn't surprised when he said she could move back into the house and he'd take her apartment. He's still acting like a jerk. What is it going to take for him to straighten up and fly right? If something happens to him during his race or anywhere else, the *only* people it will hurt are Genoveva and Manuel. Consta is not to crazy about him and none of the Montesinos have had anything to do with him since the burgled burglary and near-miss shooting. Yes, Mauro will feel terrible FOR his friend, but not necessarily for Jose. It wouldn't be at all the degree of sorrow that Manuel has for Mauro for Max being in jail. He knows both of them.

Lila--Uli dying in a gun battle is too easy. He's a creep who also felt entitled to everything. I think he arrived at El Deseo with that attitude. Remember he looked like a motorcycle gang member when we first saw him?

He turned into a one-man crime wave, including extortion, kidnapping, offenses related to labor laws, cheating coffee growers, paying others to carry out criminal activity, destruction of valuable property, whereas Jose is just a petty criminal. (Ok, after the attempted burglary & shooting, the watch and the check may indicate he is escalating into a big time criminal if not stopped). He has had his car souped up for a reason. And that reason is HE'S GOING DOWN. Still, it's going to hurt his parents the most.

Oy vey, I got sidetracked onto Jose--AGAIN--when I was talking about Uli getting his just desserts. Getting gunned down now, Uli will never be able to see Ivan and Mariana happy with their baby. That's what I think he deserves the most. After that, he can die.

Loved it Kelly!!

PERFECT use of the recapper's privilege. I FFd through the scene. You were a trooper to even watch it once!

Got a giggle out of Neutral Coffee Shop.

Juli and Elo were utterly stupid to talk about Max in front of a stranger.

Lila -loved your recap. You hit every point, every twist, every turn, every dip, every pothole, every cliff. Jorge didn't prepare very well alexa and tia's visit. Maybe we are not to like tania, But when elo and julie come with jail talk, lucio(not his fault, and I did not like the slur, whatever it was) my bells and whistles would have gone off too. She don't know these people or jorge for that. I think it was the prison talk that scared her the most. George had better get it together because aunt tia went to talk to a lawyer. everything else was beautiful.good recap.

Nina

Oooo, comments! Gotta go back and read!

Nina! All the credit belongs to Kelly!

Thanks mucho Lila and Kelly for Thurs & Friday's recaps now that I've read them and seen the episodes finally

Oh and Lila I'm so glad you said what you did about Tia Tania and the whole Lucio situation. I was thinking about that all day today and getting kind of steamed. The way it was handled was unfair to Lucio and Alexa and was incredibly careless of Juli and Elo and Jorge and and everybody. You expressed my thoughts and feelings so that when I got here and read your comment I relaxed and stopped being so mad about it.
Its funny how knowing other people agree with me makes me feel better - must be a herd thing:)

Now I can get on with feeling good about all the great parts of the show.

I loved loved loved Amaya meeting her brand new big bro.
I just reach for the tissue now whenever I see Marco Antonio 'cause these people are so engaging and emotive I feel like I'm right there with them and I clap and cheer when good things happen and hiss and boo at the bad stuff.
Lately there has been more cheering and clapping and I couldn't be gladder. I hope we don't go too dark again before the end.

Thank you lila for the correction I got excited and misplaced the credit. Wonderful recap kelly. I Iike the phrsae"little cesar", he's not as big in his head as he was. He's" little" cesar. He's falling off of his throne, and the queen mom is tumbling behind. a little British humor in light of the little princess being born.

Nina

Hey, Sneak! You are welcome! You know what? Immediately as I saw that scene I was like, wait a minute! I wouldn't want my child to go play outside with a person I didn't know anything about and YES, I would be concerned if that person had an obvious cognitive and emotional challenge. . .come on! Accepting that everyone is human and assuming competence is one thing but parents are responsible for their children and Tania was right to feel uncomfortable. Yes, she was ignorant about whatever disability Lucio has but her hesitance was totally appropriate. Julia and Elo were the ones out of line!

You know what else, Sneaky and all? They know Uli is running around, gosh knows where AND with Lu looking for any reason to have Lucio put away. . .anyway, BAD MOVE!

Sneaky, one reason why these blogs are so popular is that we all seek affirmation and validation of our points of view! Not that we can't stand different points of view, but sometimes you just feel like "did anybody else see what just happened!?"

Oh, I'm going to miss you guys when this ride is over! I hope we can have another week just to debrief after this is over! How 'bout it, Anita?

Hola, Everyone,

Still standing steadfast for a José redemption.

Re Tania, I can certainly understand her concern with the first meeting of Jorge's extended family, but if she thinks that one brief meeting was bad, she's in for a THUNDERBOLT when she learns about all the other craziness surrounding Jorge's novia:

Juli's brother charged with murder;
Juli's other brother - imposter brother, that is, -- to be charged with multiple murders, poisoning; and arson
Juli's stepmother to be charged with attempted infanticide, poisoning,and multiple other killings;
Juli's estrangement from the entire family for years
The list go on.......

RUN TANIA, RUN!

PERHAPS, the reappearance of
the loving and lovable Don Mauro
can Turn the Tide for Tania.

Enjoy your weekend. All the best ..

Moved this comment down because I didn't quote the part of Anita's post I wanted to call attention to. Sorry for the space, Anita!

Wow! Powerful story, Anita, about you when you were 3! Gosh! I feel like crying!

Re Jose: . . after the first real brush with the law, it was his best opportunity to show some remorse and gratitude to his father--who suborned a witness to get him out.

YES! That's it, that was his "Come to Jesus" moment and he blew it! Since the theme of this novela is that sometimes one's own blood family can be one's worse nightmarish enemy, I think Jose represents that theme in Manuel's family. "Good" parents can have "bad" children and "good" children can come from "bad" parents! Just as Lu and Cesar will get a much deserved, hefty anvil, I think Jose will get one, too and the writers will feel it's deserved.

Re Uli, yah, a gun battle may be too easy, Anita, but I just want him gone! How's this: terribly disfigured from the gun battle and imprisoned for life?

He turned into a one-man crime wave, including extortion, kidnapping, offenses related to labor laws, cheating coffee growers, paying others to carry out criminal activity, destruction of valuable property, whereas Jose is just a petty criminal . . .And that reason is HE'S GOING DOWN. Still, it's going to hurt his parents the most. . . .Oy vey, I got sidetracked onto Jose--AGAIN--when I was talking about Uli getting his just desserts.

Hahahahahaha! I thought so, Anita, I was like, wait a minute, I thought we were talking about Uli! It's OK, Jose has sparked a LOT of feelings on the patio!

Floridia, You are absolutely right!

Maybe Tania's reaction is a little joke the writers/producers are playing on us. Now that you remind us, we have come to love the "good" Montesinos but yah, this is one jacked up family situation!! Murder is not funny but your summary is kinda hilarious and makes Tania's reaction seem tame!

Would "they" be so novel as to let Tania win and Jorge settle for he and Alexa/Tania shuttling back and forth between Miami and the D.F.?

CORRECTION:

Make that the list GOES ON.

I think that the heart and soul of the family, Don Mauro, will charm her. Maybe she'll take a job in la empresa.

Sal might be needed for a blood transfusion if Connie's baby goes into crisis. (I know, tired TN convention) but I must put Sal to use somehow or other now that Jorge and Juli will likely end up with Alexa.

Floridia, I like this. This was my no casualty plan for Connie and her baby: somehow an emergency occurs that reveals the baby's, or rather the Father's true identity. This way, knowing they love each other and Connie has deceived him, he leaves Connie. Maybe Connie does another flip and decides she wants Sal. . . I don't know! Sal is such an obsessive-compulsive control freak. He seems like he could even get violent! Okay, let Max return to Amaya and Connie realize that she CAN raise her baby with the love and support of Nora, Manuel and Geno, with whom she forms a nurturing Mother-Daughter relationship.

Ok. Let's have Jose wreck in the street race, have a near death experience and THEN awaken, reformed and redeemed to become a good Son and Uncle!

How's that?!

Lila: Tania used derogatory words to describe Lucio ?

What a b*****!

She needs an anvil so fast!

Amaya is big sis to marco. He (marco) is big bro to max, lucio & flavia. Right?

I think Marco is older than Amaya and the other siblings. But he has quite a baby face :)

Julianna is the oldest. Followed by Marco and Cesar who were born around the same time. Then Max and Amaya who are around the same age. And last, Flavia and Lucio, who are twins.

Shame on me for forgetting Juli. :(

Lila,

Yes, I think Connie's way to maturity leads to her acceptance of raising the baby on her own; later down the road, she may find another man about whom she has no doubts as she had with both Max and Sal.

I would like José to change his ways before he gets in trouble. I would like his turnabout to come from within and not as the result of external forces. That would be ideal. By this time next week, we will be rehashing all of this.

Let the good times roll!

To quote Sara, "Is it Monday yet?"

;D

But only five more episodes. :-( WAAAHHH!

Floridia, please stop testing testing testing. As I mentioned, I have had to turn on comment moderation for old posts (more than a week old). That means you have to wait until I am by a computer to approve your post before your post will get published. The alternative is to have 1,000 comments recommending witchdoctors on each post.

Floridia, I will welcome a rehashing! This may be the last quality novela at 3 we get for a while. This coming week is going to be EXciting!!!

So Sorry, Jane

I thought something was wrong on my end. I couldn't find my post.
I sent 2 almost identical.

Amaya was already here before marco or cesar. Flo introduced amaya to mauro. Lu blew-up flo's husband in the plane. He was amaya's dad. She's older than max, cesar&marco. the oldest of all these children is Juliana.

Too many typos on my tablet, so decided to get on my comment and repost this comment:

Anon- No. You have the order wrong. Flor was single, without kids when she met widower Mauro who had little Juli. Mauro introduced her to Juli. Flor and Mauro got engaged and were about to marry, when Lucrecia (a brief fling) told him she was pregnant. He and Flor broke up so he could marry Lu and give Cesar a name. Later, Flor discovered she was pregnant with Marco. She married David to give Marco a name. After Marco "died", Flor and David had Amaya. Meanwhile, Mauro and Lu also continued to have kids (Max, Flavia, Lucio). David was crazy jealous and possessive and Flor decided to leave him, taking Amaya with her. She asked Mauro to help her. David and Lu conspired to keep them apart and the Day of the Great Accidents happened where Lu killed David, Flor, and tried to kill Amaya.

Missed a word-- get on my laptop.

In any case, I hope that helps you with the timeline of the kids, Anon.

Juli- Mauro and Wife #1

Marco- Mauro and Florencia (registered as David's child)

Cesar- Lucrecia and Omar (passed off as Mauro's child)

Max- Mauro and Lu's child

Amaya- Flor and David's child

Flavia and Lucio- Mauro and Lu's children

So the point is that this is a super complicated family and Tania is right to question it. She can even ask whether Lucio is ok with a child he doesn't know. But her reaction to him when they first met was one of revulsion. Unacceptable. He's a part of this family and it's not something any of them (except Lu and Cesar, of course) would ever hide. This should have been points for them, not something deserving of her attitude. Maybe they just don't have time to make her a deeper character. Too many other things to wrap up, and only a week left. They're going to have a hard enough time solving Jose and Constanza before Friday, much less Lu and Cesar. Keeping that anvil guy busy!

Kelly

Thank You vivi for that clarification I appreciate it. that is a lot for me to wrap my brain around right now, but all is good, thank you. 5 more episodes left, then everybody will be with who they'er supposed to be with, all the bad guys will be taken care of and happy happy happy happiness will come for all. And now maybe I will get into la sombra,we'll see.

Thank you, Vivi. I have such a hard time keeping up with details...especially of they are from the beginning of the Novela.

Vivi--That is one of the best condensations of a whole telenovela--based on the issue (meaning the children), I've read.

Floridia--So sorry you had trouble with your postings. BlogMom, thank you for your vigilance.

I did a little cleanup--for posterity.

This week's headliner is almost ready to be posted, so save your fingers until it's up.

thank you for the order of births vivi.
