Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #182 5/4/15 INFERNO
From Friday:
We relive scenes from Sofia and Chava's wedding: The rings, the vows, the guests - Alexa looks like she jumped out of the shower in a hurry and just ran a comb through her hair. She looks awful. I notice Isadora is one of the guests, so apparently not all the Peraltas hate the Ripolls. The priest pronounces the couple husband and wife and we get a close up of DZ's sloppy kissing. Mercifully, he doesn't jam his tongue down her throat. Chava tells Sofia that they'll be together till the end of the world. The way he stalked her was there ever any doubt she'd never get rid of him?
Monday's Episode:
Outside the church the happy couple is greeted with cheers and flower petals.
Pato and Silvana are in a bubble bath (again). They talk about Peralta abandoning the SS (sinking ship) Ripoll and the wedding of Sofia and that imbecile Cruz.
Paco makes a toast to the newlyweds. At first I thought the reception was at Cuco's, but then I realized it was Lupe's house which has been repainted and redecorated. That horrible TV news set blue and the screaming pink are gone. It must have taken gallons of primer to cover those colors.
Irma sits at home and grouses about not being invited to the wedding. She hears noises and yelling and goes to the door. People are running past the house screaming, "The factory blew up! The factory is on fire!" Irma runs down the street with them to watch the flames and explosions. The entire structure is engulfed. Irma seems delighted.

Back at the reception, Chava and Sofia cut the cake. Everyone parties and dances. Sofia and Chava dance and kiss to more cheers. Alexa and Armie try hard not to look at each other. Greta and Paco look at the newlyweds longingly. There is loud knocking on the door. Chava answers and Irma runs in the door and shouts the news about the fire. Everyone runs to the factory and watches more flames and explosions - it looks like we see the same explosions as before. Sofia cries and is told that all the workers got out in time. The security guard, Arispe, says there was an explosion, then the fires broke out. Sofia, meet Captain Obvious.
Irma runs in between two suspicious characters and announces, "The firefighters are coming." The two men make their getaway from the crowd. Alexa clings to Fausto. Irma catches Alexa's eye and smiles and laughs silently. Greta and Sofia sob that all their hopes and memories are ending in tragedy. Finally a lone firetruck arrives and two firefighters with a single hose shoot a piddling stream of water on the chocolate inferno. I guess there's only one firetruck in the whole city because no others ever show up.
They might as well just pee on it. |
Fuzzy Tavarres arrives. He questioned some of the employees who said they heard strange explosions. Someone please tell me when an explosion is NOT strange. Chava thinks it was arson. More explosions come from the building. Irma smiles like a maniac while everyone cries.
I had nothing whatsoever to do with this. |
Peralta grins at Pato and says, "At this moment Chocolates Ripoll is being erased from the face of the earth." Pato figured something was up since Peralta's people were emptying out his office. Peralta wants Pato to be his right hand man and offers him a new "opportunity". Pato thought the destruction of the factory meant his job was over, he'd get his money and get the hell out of Dodge. Peralta says this new job means scads and scads more money. All Pato has to do is pledge his unconditional loyalty. Pato accepts and shakes the devil's hand.
Sofia and Chava cuddle in bed. He tells her that Lupe' used to say that God doesn't give you anything more than you can handle. Chava will be with her through the good and the bad. Sofia says all she needs is to be in his arms.
Next morning Sofia tells Greta and Fausto that they have to wait for the results of the insurance investigation and which will determine whether the fire was an accident or arson.
Chava bursts into Peralta's office and accuses him of torching the factory because Sofia dumped him for Chava. Peralta claims he had nothing to do with the fire. What reason would he have to try to ruin the Ripolls? Chava is sure he did it for the money and vows that Peralta will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Chava storms past Oliver in the hall and tells him his dad is a rotten, no-good, dirty rat bastard. Oliver goes into the office and asks why Salvador was so angry. Peralta tells him that Chava accused him of setting the fire that destroyed the factory. Apparently Oliver didn't know about the fire. He tries to rush off to see Dani but Peralta tells him to Man Up and wait for her to come to him. A frustrated Oliver leaves and doesn't even notice Pato coming in.
Armie and Nandito talk about the factory fire and Alexa.
Pato enters a seedy restaurant and slips a wad of money under the table to the two shady characters who were outside the burning factory. He warns them to keep their mouths shut.
At Cuco's, Dani addresses a meeting of the Ripoll employees, "The insurance company is investigating the cause of the fire and at this time we don't know what the future of the company will be." The employees are worried; with no jobs how are they supposed to live?
Pato reports back to Peralta. The firebugs got their money. Peralta tells Pato to get with Regina to set up an office. Pato leaves and Peralta calls Sofia. He feigns concern about the terrible fire and asks if they have found the cause. He takes the opportunity to remind Sofia that she owes him money. She tells him not to worry he'll get his money, then hangs up on him. Chava comes in with lunch. WOW! These two spent some money updating Lupe's house. New paint, new furniture and new appliances for a woman who has never cooked a meal in her life. Maybe some of that money should have gone toward paying back Peralta.
Marisol tries to call Pato but gets his voice mail. She tells him to *please* return her call. Meanwhile, Silvana is having a tizzy fit. She was expecting Pato to get his money so they could leave the country. Pato tells her that he's going to make a lot more money, more than she can imagine, by continuing to work for Peralta. They're going to have it all! Silvana just wants their freedom. Pato says that with the factory gone Peralta can start the Magnus Project. Silvana is happy that the Ripolls are going broke and that witch Greta will finally be forced to live like a peon.
Oliver visits Dani at the Ripoll house. She is surprised because she thought he didn't care about her anymore. He confesses that he still loves her. He says he is going to go to work in his father's company.
Alexa and Paolo finish the final scene in their movie. The director thanks Alexa for her hard work and dedication to the movie. Alexa says she was just doing what she loves. Paolo is sure that Alexa will be offered many more movie roles.
At Don Manuel's garage, Armie tells Chava that accusing Peralta of arson was a dumbass move. I think there is some talk here about the Ripolls selling the mansion.
Paolo asks if he has a chance with Alexa - maybe not right now, but sometime in the future. She tells Paolo that he is a wonderful, handsome, caring man but... (It's not you, it's me) ...despite the bad times they are going through, she is still in love with Armie.
Chava asks if Armie and Alexa have reconciled. He admits they haven't. Armie gets a phone call and seems upset.
Alexa and Dani talk about Sofia's strength and great attitude in spite of all her troubles. Alexa gets a message from Paolo. Since Alexa and Armie broke up, Dani sees no reason why Alexa shouldn't get together with Paolo. Alexa says it isn't possible because she is still in love with Armie, but she and Paolo can be friends.
Armie sits alone in a restaurant and Paolo enters and sits down at the table. Armie says, "I thought you'd come with your girlfriend." Paolo tells Armie that he doesn't have a girlfriend. He's here to give Armie another opportunity. Paolo leaves and Armie throws his napkin on the table in disgust. He gets up to leave and sees Alexa walking toward him. She asks, "Armando, what are you doing here?"
At the dinner table Marisol is feeling sick. Chava tells her to take some bicarbonate. She says she's just worried about what will happen with the factory. Marisol leaves the table to go to bed. Chava thinks that Marisol is still mourning the loss of their mother.
Armie thought Alexa was meeting her boyfriend. Alexa says, "Paolo is not my boyfriend. Paolo and I have a beautiful friendship but my heart belongs to you." Armie remembers Paolo's words about giving him another opportunity. Armie tells Alexa he can't be with her, they've just had too many problems. Alexa tells him he's the only man she thinks of. Alexa is sure that Paolo arranged this rendezvous to get them back together. Armie holds Alexa and tells her it's all his fault. He apologizes for being a total freakin' bonehead. Paolo peeks around the corner and sees their embrace, "It was worth it. Good-bye, Alexa." They say their "I love you's" and kiss passionately.
End of Episode.
Advances:
Silvana finds out about Marisol and Pato
Irma gets arrested

Yes, there was talk about the Ripoll's selling the mansion to help financially support their workers, Greta said something about the house being way too big and that they could get along in less space. Is Greta on meds? Her personality change has been the worst character transformation ever.
Irma just had to get out and be her obnoxious self at the fire. Didn't see the previews, glad to hear she gets arrested.
I don't really think Pato felt so terribly threatened by Peralta's offer but it did seem a good line to give Silvana. Maybe he will be rid of Silvana, too, when she finds out about Marisol. Wonder if some where along the line she will find out Marisol is pregnant.
Jarifa
Yes, Irma was acting like an idiot during the fire, with all of her smiling but what else should we expect: she's evil.
It also looks like Silvana will accept the b.S line Pato gives her concerning Marisol, but i'm looking forward to Chava whooping that A**!
Does anyone know how much Sofia owes Peralta? Because I don't see how selling the mansion could cover how much she owes, unless it's in the hundreds of thousands instead of the possible millions like I thought.
I like the hesistation hug Paco gave Greta. I know i'm in the minority but I'm liking this re-hook-up. I think Greta has really come around and she's changing as a person. I do look forward to that wedding.
Was I the only one booing when Alexa groveled for Amando to come back to her? Even as she was pleading with him, he was still calling Paolo(sarcastically) her "boyfriend or whatever". It was a pretty pitiful display on her part and his. These clowns deserve each other. I liked Paolo, he deserves a good woman, and Alexa was right, he deserves someone better than her.
Didn't know Irma gets arrested? What she do?
There's been alot of hate thrown at Greta, and granted I missed the early stuff she might have been part of, I think she is seeing the error of her ways. I do wonder if she had to do it all over again, knowing what she knows now, would she stay with Paco. Someone should ask her that.
The previews also showed Marisol telling Chava and Sofia she's pregnant but will she tell them it's with Pato or will she lie and say someone else?
Lots of stuff going on here, good drama for the writers to expand on.
I missed the preview of Irma getting arrested so I am really excited for tonight! I wonder if Alexa and Armie decided to accuse her of assault? I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't do that to her like she tried to accuse Alexa. There's video evidence and multiple witnesses to put her away for awhile.
I had no idea Chava and Sofia remodeled Lupe's casa. When did that happen? I was really confused as to where the wedding reception was until Irma showed up.
Bryan, I was there with you booing when Alexa and Armie got back together. They're both annoying.
I also agree with you about Greta, I think after Sofia stood up to her that made her realize she may have had it all wrong. I do think she deserved some more punishment though, she may be getting off too easy. Poor Lupe who did no harm didn't deserve the end she got. Guess Greta's anvil was almost going crazy thanks to Iker.
Can't wait to see Silvana's fury unleashed on Marisol tonight!
The way he stalked her was there ever any doubt she'd never get rid of him?
Newest Ripoll Truffle flavor: Burnt Chocolate
They might as well just pee on it.
Marisol already got her anvil when Lucas went back to Dani. I hope she at least gets a few good licks in against Silvana.
I'm astounded how much crap the employees gobble up. One sacrifice after another for the princess.
Don't smile Irma, I smiled and laughed in the security line and got a strip search by TSA couple years ago because they didn't like my explanation.
The screen caps were a hoot. Burnt
chocolate, the new flavor?
The one fire hose??? I even made a note concerning that last night.
A huge factory fire and only one fire truck with one hose. Well---
Televisa is trying to stay within budget. LOL.
Bryan---Like you I missed the early Greta but I did see the midterm Greta and I have been trying to think of a word strong enough to describe her back then.
We can use our imaginations but I will say that she was pretty bad, a control freak, a very forceful my way or else kind of woman. It's
nice to see her changing for the better.
Lily---Silvana's fury tonight. I can't wait. Did you notice Pato's
disgusting grin over what he had caused?
The dead count? Pato has to go down. That bastard!
Must see tv.
the gringo
Tofie- I agree, another sacrifice for Sofia, when will it end?
Gringo-yes, I can see her being that way definately. I have to admit i'm very bias because I want her and Paco to reunite. He's the only one who can keep her in line. I also caught Pato's grin when Silvana smacked the bejeezes out of Marisol. You're right, he has to go down. A long, slow painful punishment is in order. If it's death then so be it.
Bryan: I'll be cheering for Marisol's anvil tonight because she's asking for it! I've NEVER liked that brat!
Silvana & Patrick: both of you do your work!
I'm wondering if Peralta has set Irma up to take the fall for the arson. I'm not really sure she is involved, but the scene where she went between the two goons and announced that the firefighters were coming made it seem like she is. Peralta has all the real estate papers and knows that Irma saw them. Since there is video of Irma beating Alexa and accusing her of stealing Armie, Peralta has the perfect opportunity to blame the fire on her. Jilted wife gets revenge. Irma's anvil may be going to jail for a crime she didn't commit. Just what she tried to do to Alexa.
She was smiling like a devil as Ripoli, Inc., was burning in flames last night.
Big question is will we see Irma going to prison tonight ?
Jarifa
Irma may not be the most savory character or very likable, she has done some questionable things, but she certainly does not deserve the fate that many of you wish on her. I see more disdain for Irma expressed here than for Peralta, Patricio, Cristián, or Silvana.
And Steve B, Irma is many things but one thing she is certainly not... scrawny.
Next!
Carlos
just kidding
The only human Peralta wants to live is Dulliver, and only so he can help build the evil empire. Peralta should kill Dulliver by mistake, thinking it is someone else, then when he rolls the body over see that it is his son. Then the community can attack him like a pack of ravenous wolves, pulling his flesh from the bones as he negs for forfivness.
Or put him in jail. Im not a writer by any stretch.
Irma getting busted is going to be EPIC & BEAUTIFUL!
"Burnt chocolate" LOL LOL LOLZ!
Peralta better watch his backside. Chava seems like Gomer Pyle, but he has been surprisingly lucky/resourceful thus far.
