Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #187 5/11/15 Pato's Gotta Pay!
Thanks Guys! Let's do this again sometime. |
From Friday:
Chava looks at Lupe's picture. He thanks her and prays for her to help Marisol. He gets a call from Sofia who tells him that Alexa took off with that Rat Bastard Alan.
At the hospital, Pato yells at Silvana and threatens to kill her for ruining his pretty face.
Armie and Chava discuss Alexa's disappearance. Armie thinks she dumped him, but Chava tells him that Alan probably coerced Alexa into leaving with him.
Monday's Episode:
Just for giggles I kept track of and numbered all the times someone said, "Pato's gotta pay!"
Police HQ
Tavarres hands Armie a picture of the mastermind named by the two stoolies arrested for the Chocolates Ripoll arson and Lupe's murder. He announces, "It's Patricio Iturbide." Chava jumps from his chair. He's going to kill him! Patricio has to pay! (#1) Yada, yada, yada. Armie holds Chava back while Tavarres tells him not to do anything stupid. Like that's going to happen.
Red Cross Hospital
Pato frantically pleads with the doctor to fix his pretty face that ain't pretty no more. He wants the doctor to do whatever it takes. He'll pay any amount! The doctor urges Pato to calm down. He needs time to recuperate before any surgery can be done. Pato screams that he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life looking like a monster. The doctor signals the nurse to come and give Pato a sedative.
I don't know why the outside shouldn't match the inside. |
Greta's apartment
Greta is worried about Alexa's abrupt departure with Alan and is going to travel to French Guiana to rescue her. Paco doesn't want Greta traveling alone and offers to go with her. Fausto urges her, "Just say 'yes'." Sofia agrees that it's a marvelous idea and she'll feel better if Greta has someone to accompany her. Greta accepts and the two of them vow that together they will bring Alexa back.
Private Jet somewhere over the Caribbean
The jet is flying through turbulence. Little Lord Short Pants goes to the cockpit to find out if there is a problem. The flight attendant tells him to go back to his seat, sit down and buckle up. Alexa is curled up on her seat, lost in her thoughts, "I've lost everything."
Never get on a jet with a creepy guy in short pants. |
Hospital Lobby
Silvana answers Pato's phone. Peralta asks, "Silvana, why are you answering Patricio's phone?" She tells him that Pato is in the hospital. Peralta assumes that Pato is still suffering from the beating he got from Chava. Silvana explains that Pato had a domestic accident. She tries to make conversation but Peralta abruptly hangs up. He asks Aldo about the two stooges that were arrested at the bar. Aldo tells Peralta they admitted to burning down the factory and the murder of Lupe' Cruz.
Crap! I may not get Ripoll's land after all. |
Back in the hospital lobby, the doctor tells Silvana that Pato is going to need lots of care after his 'accident'. I cannot believe that the doctor hasn't questioned the circumstances surrounding this "accident". How many people from high-rise penthouses are brought into the hospital with acid burns? Silvana assures the doctor that she is very dedicated to her husband. She'll take good care of him. Right up until his face gets all pussie and skin starts sloughing off. Then I think she'll hit the bricks.
And if he ever tries screwing around on me again I'll just dump the acid in his lap. |
Record Company Office
Analia, the record agent, tells Lucas she loved his demo record. She didn't love Dani. Just Lucas, so no duets. He'll make an album, go on tour and become a big star. He's got potential! He's got charisma! He's got talent! She wants in his pants. Lucas refuses to do anything without Dani. In the hall, Dani and Lucas talk things over, she convinces him to sign up with the record company and he gets an advance of 30,000 pesos (about $1,950 US). And Analia knows exactly how he's going to pay the money back. In advance.
Marisol stops by a college to get information about a restaurant management course.
Peralta's office
Regina reports that Patricio isn't answering his phone and she's very concerned. Should she go to his apartment to check on him? Peralta says that won't be necessary but he's very impressed by her efficiency and her loyalty. After Regina leaves the office he tells Aldo to get the car, they're going out. Alone in his office Peralta says, "I need to act as soon as possible."
Tavarres goes to Pato's apartment to arrest him and is told by the neighbor that Pato was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
It's the story of my police career. Right place, wrong time. |
Prison
Cris asks Silvana why she something as stupid as throwing acid on Pato. Does she want to end up in the Big House alongside him? Silvana did it to keep other women away from Pato and keep him with her.
And I thought *I* inherited the really strong crazy gene. |
Chava and Sofia's House
Chava tells Sofia that it wasn't Peralta who hired the guys that burned down the factory and killed Lupe'. It was Pato! Sofia is stunned by the news and curses the day she met Pato. She regrets hiring him and letting him into their lives. Sofia rages. Chava rages. Pato should rot in prison. He needs to pay! (#2) Yada, yada, yada. FF ---- >>
Hospital
Peralta visits Pato's bedside, "I warned you. Women are trouble." Pato growls about that bitch Silvana. Peralta seems amused. He wishes Pato a speedy recovery and says he'll have some new responsibilities when he comes back to work.
Coffee Shop
Regina and Armie meet at a coffee shop. Which is apparently located right next to the dog pound. Dogs were barking in the background during this entire scene. Armie wants Regina's opinion because he's confused. Alexa left him. She told him that her career was more important than their relationship. Then he found out that Alexa may have been coerced into leaving by her old abusive boyfriend, a guy Alexa hates. Armie loves Alexa more than anything. He'd give his last drop of blood for her. What does Regina think? Should he go try to find Alexa and bring her back? When did Armie become stupid? He really needs somebody else to figure this out for him? Regina says, "Alexa loves you. She wouldn't leave just like that. Trust your feelings. Go get her. Fight for her." Regina promises she'll be there for Armie whenever he needs a friend.
I love her. But is she worth my spending the money to rescue her? |
Peralta's office
Peralta checks his watch. He points at Aldo. Aldo dials the phone and activates the device planted on the jet. Peralta smirks.
Private Jet
The pilots notice that something is wrong with the controls. One pilot radios air traffic control and asks for their location. He gets no answer.
The oxygen masks drop as the plane starts to dive. The passengers and crew grab the masks and put them on.
The dials on the jet's control panels spin wildly. The pilots frantically try to pull the jet out of the dive but it will not respond. The jet dives faster and faster.
The pilots shout, "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!" Alan and Alexa panic as the ocean races by their windows. Everyone on board is screaming. The jet hits the water and we hear the sound of a horrible crash. Darkness, then silence.
This was a harrowing scene. I kept thinking about those poor people who could only watch helplessly as their jet was deliberately slammed into the Alps. I thought the device that Peralta had planted was a bomb and that the jet would explode and everyone would die instantly. But Peralta made his victims watch and suffer. I hate Peralta.
Hospital
Pato threatens to report Silvana for dousing him with acid. Well if he does, there's plenty she can squeal to the cops about Pato.
You rat me out, I rat you out. Face it, we're both just a couple of horny rats |
Tavarres comes into the room and tells Silvana to get lost. He tells Pato the good news, "You've been identified as the mastermind behind the fire at the Ripoll factory and the murder of Lupe' Cruz." Pato says the guys who told Tavarres that nonsense are a couple of drunks who don't know what they're talking about. Tavarres knows that Pato hired them at the factory. Pato protests, "But that doesn't mean I'm responsible for what they did!"
"They said you paid them lots of money to start the fire and kill Mrs. Cruz."
"They're trying to trap me. I don't know why they accused me. I'm an honest man. I'm innocent."
Tavarres warns Pato that his statement is being taken down and he'd better tell the truth. Pato complains, "Is the word of a couple of drunks worth more than mine?"
Cemetery
Sofia and Chava visit Lupe's grave and tell her how much they miss her. Chava vows that Pato will pay for murdering Lupe'. (#3) Yada, yada, yada. A heavenly choir sings a lament.
In the church yard, Marisol prays to the Virgincita and asks her to take care of her baby. "Please heal my heart and give me the strength to go on."
Greta's apartment
Dani and Lucas tell Greta the good news about Lucas' record deal. He offers Greta his advance check to pay for her travel. Greta is touched. She refuses the money and kisses his cheek.
Fausto packs a suitcase for Greta. She tells Fausto that she and Octavio pushed Alexa to be a star. Greta didn't realize that when Alexa returned from Spain she was all screwed up in the head because of that rat bastard Alan. Fausto is sure that Greta and Paco will find Alexa and deal with Alan.
Paco's House
Armie and Paco discuss Alexa's disappearance. Armie admits that he was mad and jealous but should have realized that Alexa wouldn't leave like that unless she was forced. He feels guilty. He asks if he can go with Paco and Greta to find Alexa. Paco assures him that he'll convince Greta to let Armie come along.
Regina remembers Armie's words about how much he loves Alexa. She wishes for a love like that.
Hospital
Pato tells Silvana that he's been accused of masterminding the fire that destroyed the factory and having Lupe' killed. But he's not responsible - it was Peralta's plan! Pato didn't do anything other than hire the guys and pay them afterward. Silvana thinks that if Peralta was behind it, then he should help Pato out. Pato asks Silvana for his phone. He calls Peralta and tells him that the stooges squealed and accused him. "I gave my statement to the police, but I didn't say a word that could compromise you. Please, you need to help me." Peralta assures Pato, "Don't worry. I'll take care of you."
Dani and Lucas run into Marisol. They make up and are besties again. FF --- >>
Chava and Sofia's House
Tavarres tells Sofia, Chava and Marisol about talking to Pato in the hospital. Tavarres vows Pato will pay! (#4) Yada, yada, yada. Marisol wants to kill Pato. He needs to pay for murdering her mother! (#5) Yada, yada, yada. Chava tells her to cool it because he's going to kill Pato.
Hospital Lobby
Sofia confronts Silvana, "You knew what Patricio was up to!" She gives Silvana a stinging slap across the face. "You're his accomplice!" Sofia grabs Silvana by the hair and forces her to the floor. "You just wanted to hurt us! You're just as bad as him!"
Marisol tells Armie that Pato is in the hospital. She feels stupid and angry about being fooled by him. Armie is sure that Pato will get Divine Justice someday (#6). Yada, yada, yada.
Lucas and Dani tell Miguelina and Rosa about the record deal. Lucas gives his advance check to Miguelina. FF --- >>
Sofia and Chava go to Pato's hospital room. Chava confronts him about Lupe', the factory fire and seducing Marisol. Chava yells, "You did it!" He pushes his forearm against Pato's throat and starts to choke him.
End of Episode.
Is Alexa dead? Or will she end up in a seven year coma in a hospital in Buenos Aires? Will Armando believe she's dead and marry Regina? Will Alexa arrive home just as the newlyweds walk out of the church? Oh wait... Sorry, wrong TN.
Labels: hasta
It appears Patprick's recovery is going to be quite speedy. IE: you can't be both sick and DEAD at the same time, right Peralta?
That being said, I really enjoyed:
Silvana being way too perky telling Peralta that Patricio had suffered a "domestic accident." It was actually funny.
Sofía hanging onto Sivana by her hair the whole time she was talking to her. Sofia is finally coming into her own.
Chava giving Patricio a little choke in the hospital. Hope he didn't leave any bruises on his neck. Patricio has to have a much more interesting and entertaining end.
Jarifa
This was an interesting episode to say the least. The writers couldn't have made peralta place a bomb on the plane because it would be a certainty that everyone would die. At least this way, Alexa can survive.
I've learned something. In the future if the woman I love walks out on me, I will call up a woman I just reconnected with and I know is attracted to me, and whine to her about how much I love my wife/girlfriend. She was the only one he could talk to? I found the situation awkward as i'm sure Regina did as well.I saw no point in him talking to her at all, especially since he knows she's attracted to him. And yes, guys know when a woman wants them just like women know when a guy wants them.
I like Paco offering to go with Greta, there's no doubt when they come back they would have re-united, to my pleasure...However, Mr. C**kblock himself, Armando, inserted himself in and demanded to go with them. His reasoning and logic, especially when explaing how he missed why Alexa left, is just off.
I like the security in that hospital. You have a weak catfight in the lobby, and everyone acts like nothing is happening, and you have Chava just walking into peoples room and chocking them. If Pato is the main suspect, why would the chief leave him alone without security to make sure he doesnt' flee somehow? Also, he must have know that Chava was lurking around waiting to beat him up and possibly kill him.
Also, that was a weak catfight. I expected more punching and slapping. Why is Silvana so afraid of Sofia? She can beat up Marisol, but cowers from Sofia? She didn't even attempt to defend herself.
Lucas does realize that the money is an advance and is not just free money, right?
Has Lucas's mother been written out of the show?
Can't wait to see Paco's and Greta's wedding. I will be very happy for both of them!
The Pato downfall storyline has been extremely entertaining these last few episodes, and it’s really the only entertaining and satisfying thing about this tn, and that shouldn’t be the case in the last week of a tn. I can’t quite place my finger on where this tn went wrong except to say it felt dull, drawn out, and disjointed many times.
There was NO reason at all for Armando to have a conversation about Alexa with Regina. What?! Makes no sense. He could/should have had that conversation with himself, or Paco, or Chava, or one of Alexa’s sisters. Hell, Dominga or Don Cuco would have made more sense!
He is Mexico's Rowan Pope: B613 South of the Border!
Why is everyone pretending like this guy is a great singer? It's baffling and I actually think the actor is into music in addition to acting outside of the show. His voice sounds like a whiny girl and it's just not good.
It's a shame Regina wasn't introduced until this late in the game. I'm liking her, the actress and character and I think she could have had potential as a full fledged character had we seen her back when Peralta started having a bigger role in the show and we were shown his office/employees.
Bryan - Lucas's mom was at the house when he announced his big break and she was also at the church when Sofia/Chava were married and Lupita died. She's there, just in the background and the Lucas/Mom storyline seems to have been dropped (thankfully since I didn't care about it) as well as her connection/job with Cuco.
LOL!
This is like what ? The umpteenth time slapping Silvana!
Bryan, I agree the scene with Regina and Armando made no sense. I also thought it was funny that while Sofia was pulling out Silvana's hair nurses and doctors just stared then kept going about the business, must be a usual occurrence there. Lucas's mom was there when he handed his check to Miguelina, she didn't say anything though.
Vivi, totally agree that the best part of this TN has been watching Pato fall, I hope he keeps on falling, I don't want him to have an easy way out.
I've never liked Alexa and her garish makeup and annoying catchphrases but I really hope the only victim of the plane crash is the douche Alan. It was a scary scene and I thought of that horrible incident too.
Shout out to Cynderella: If you're still having computer problems, I'm avail to do Thursday and Friday if need be. Just give me a heads up!
fantastic.
Your snarky comments are fantastic
also. He's got potential! He's got charisma! He's got talent! She wants in his pants.
A BIG thank you Xlnt.
LOL Kirby---No cell phone towers out over the ocean. I was thinking that it's a novela but then Bluefan set us straight with his landsat info. Thanks Blue.
The question of hospital security came up. It was a hoot last night.
Fights in the lobby (Silvana & Sofia)--A fight in the room (Chava & Pato) and Travers didn't place Pato under house arrest. LOL What kind of hospital and police department is that anyway?
Another thing---A guy comes in with his face half burned off and not a question is asked by anybody, not the hospital head doctor, the police captain, nobody. What?
A domestic accident. What's that?
It is looking like Alexa might just make it. No midair explosion.
I have said it before that I like Alexa. She isn't a bad person and like some, I haven't found her to be annoying. When she is happy, like her sister Dani, she's adorable. I want the sisters together and happy when the fin finally comes.
Thanks again Xlnt. Loved your recaps all the way, every time.

"I don't know why the outside shouldn't match the inside"
"He's got potential! He's got charisma! He's got talent! She wants in his pants"
Agree Vivi, if not for Patricio, boring. Always loved the relationship between Pat and Silvana and their banter.
This one went off the tracks when Pedro left. Pedro brought a lovable earnestness and even his longing and pursuit of Sofia never came off creepy or stalkerish. David comes off like a creepy, menacing, know it all thug with a chip on his shoulder forever stuck in 10th grade. YUCK
I still scratch my head why Greta gets a prize. She has swindled, lied and ground underfoot scores of peons for 30 years and slept soundly at night. Paco is a lapdog idiot with no self respect.
Marisol should give Lucas and Dani a wide berth and not be their friend, though being contrite for the beat down appropriate. Lucas did cheat on her and Dani, while pretending to be her friend, slept with her boyfriend. Not the kind of people she should trust. Where is their anvil?
Lucas couldn't sing his way out of a wet paper sack.
Oh, princess Alexa will likely survive the crash and come riding in on the back of a dolphin with a rainbow overhead.
Other than that, this whole novela gets a "D" from me. The recappers, however, deserve an "A" for sure!
1.) Octavio Ripoli
2.) Maestro Coria
3.) Silvana's mother
4.) Silvana's baby
5.) Marisol's baby
6.) Mauro Renzi
7.) Antonio Manjarrez
8.) Javier Cruz: the bastard DESERVED TO DIE!
9.) Lupita Sanchez de Cruz
10.) Alan Duncan
11.) The Plane staff
That's funny beyond words Tofie. I
do like Alexa from time to time but I'm not so sure that she deserves quite that much fanfare.
A "D" for the show? I think that's a little harsh. While not an A or a A+ I think that maybe a
"B" would be ok. Why? Because I have enjoyed it even though there
has been some flaws.
I so much would have liked the original Chava (Pedro Fernandez) to have stayed on though.
the gringo
David on the other hand, reminds me of a preening peacock.
I guess I should stop calling Alexa a ditz because now Armie is just as ditzy as she is. Goodness, how many people had to tell him that Alexa is probably being blackmailed?
Yep, seeing Pato’s downfall is the best part now. If he were a woman, the doctor would've alerted the police about potential domestic violence and Silvana could've only visited him under escort. But it's Pato, so who cares.
I can’t believe how much time this episode spent on Lucas. It felt like the writers needed to fill up time. If/when Oliver finds out about his padre’s dastardly doings would've been a more interesting new storyline.
I do like seeing Marisol moving on with her life. It's kind of awful though that she thinks the guy she had sex with killed her mom. For that reason alone, I hope they do figure out that it was Peralta that ordered the hit instead of Pato.
the gringo
Tofie, Alexa riding back on a dolphin with a rainbow overhead! Too, too funny! I could actually see her doing that.
I have always wondered why they tried to sell us on Lucas being a singer. Good Lord. He's not. Coyotes sound better. But I guess he's cute and that's supposed to make up for it.
Niecie, Yes, it would be much more interesting to have Oliver slowly discovering just what kind of guy his dad is. They've just kind of abandoned the Oliver/Isadora storyline and it had much more potential for suspense and drama.
Irma left town and took Armando's brain. Who knew?
I think Arleth Teran, who plays Regina, is absolutely stunning. She played Priscilla in MEPS and I just loved her in that. I would have liked to see more of her in this TN. They introduced the character way too late.
New people and stories are constantly bring introduced as though we have months to fill this all out.
Is this going to just abruptly end like in an old film where the actual film breaks and you see the end of the film rotating on the screen, and then the lights come on?
I could not help but notice"the plane staff".
IE does not include Alexa.
On another note I have closed captions on. And on the bottom of my screen Patricio just told Silvans to "Shut the fu*k up" without the star.
