However afterwards he orchestrates a plan to take control of vic jrs life he calls the police telling them the location of vic. He plans to them rescue him thus earning his trust and pushing him in thr business

Chema is in deep trouble, he has very few guys left, he is out pf money and out of merchandise. On top of that andrew is being investigated but chema does not look worried at all!
he visits ruti and monica and has a rather tense talk with monica.

vic has him wedding it is a small after compered to the one aurelio had, he pays tribute to the memory of his parents and hopes for a better future yeah not with a sociopath in your family

the next morning the police arrive in a convoy looking for him, aurelio is ready since he knew thete were coming his men open fire on them there is a huge firefight in their ranch, aurelio gows to wake up vic tells him wat is happening and rushes him out of the ranch, he goes back for irma, in the room her confronts hervwiyh a pistol saying he will kill her for having victor sr leave the business

tijeras has really grown, his mansion is huge and has an army of killers at his command, he claims he controls half the cocaine produce in colombia, his partner ( other colombian guy whos name escapes me the one that was in mexico) brings the colonel they were working with to the mansion, but it is a trap another colonel is there and he says am taking your place cause you got too greedy. he shoots him, this new colonel will give them police protection

Aurelio lost any but of concern I had for him last season, but this time I'm actively hoping he gets killed, painfully. And I want Alba to know what he did. She gets frustrated by his actions but always manages to forgive. He doesn't deserve it, especially now. And please please let Irma live! I'm rooting for all the women this time. Even the drug-dealing ones, because I think Rutila and Monica have a nice relationship. Probably because Monica recognizes that Ruti is in the same spot with Chema that she was in with Aurelio, but still. It's nice.

Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, Variopinta, but Ximena was killed last season by Aurelio along with her boyfriend. The one who was actually helping her and her kids NOT be in the drug business. Pretty sure that's why Aurelio hated Irma. She was taking Victor away from him, and he doesn't like to be left behind. If someone is going to leave (or die), it'll be at HIS word. Jerk.

Obviously, I haven’t done any recaps for the last week or so. I just haven’t had time. Here is a quickie summary of what happened last week mostly.

Nina and Jorgito- they have had sex, several times. They have declared their love for one another but Jorgito can’t understand Nina’s hesitance to announce who she really is and she hasn’t told him anything about her plan of vengeance against Carmina.

Débora – fell while she was rehearsing. She is ok but has to stay in the hospital for a week. She has offered to move in with Jorgito when she gets out of the hospital. He is very conflicted between his love for Nina and not wanting to hurt Débora.

Carlos Eduardo and his two and a half wives - CE got into a car accident trying to keep Noemia from seeing the messages on his phone from Verónica about Débora’s accident. Noemia ends up with a broken nose in the same hospital as Débora. Noemia meets Verónica and CE runs around trying to be in both hospital rooms at the same time. Alexia continues her romance with Rui. CE has enlisted his daughter with Alexia, Paloma, to spy on them.

Leleco, Muricy, Tessalia and Adauto – Leleco and Muricy have split up and each has taken up with a younger person much to the confusion and embarrassment of Tifón’s household. Muricy and Adauto are living in the Tifón’s house and Leleco and Tessalia are living in Monalisa’s house but are about to move into the house Tifón had before the mansion was built.

Suelen – Suelen has moved in with Diógenes, Roni and Leandro. Her evil ex from Bolivia has shown up.

Monalisa and Sílas – Monalisa has decided that she wants to get together again with Sílas as friends with benefits. Sílas, however, wants to get married and Monalisa doesn’t.

Nilo – has revealed to Carmina that Rita is back in Brazil. He sells Carmina Rita’s address. (Nilo still doesn’t know that Rita/Nina is working in Carmina’s house.) Carmina shows up at Nina’s Copacabana apartment to find Betania there pretending to be Rita. This is what Nina asked Betania to do to help her out with her plan of vengeance. Carmina tries to buy Rita off for a paltry sum.

Nina and Carmina – Nina has become Carmina’s buddy and confidant. Carmina tells Nina her version of what happened with Genesio and Rita. It bears no relation to the truth and Nina is puking in the sink again after hearing it. Janaina wonders if she is pregnant.

Tifón and Jorgito- Jorgito tells Tifón that he has fallen in love with someone other than Débora.

Max and Carmina – In his never ending quest to get money, Max has let himself get conned by two guys who pretend to have a hot soccer prospect for sale. He ends up owing 120,000 reals to a loan shark. He has a plan to get out from under by pretending to kidnap Carmina and demanding a 1 million real ransom. The loan shark, Moreira, will participate. Nina finds out that something is going on and overhears part of Max’s conversation with Carmina. She runs to Mama Lucinda to tell her what she overheard as evidence that Carmina is actually dangerous to Tifón and his family and therefore her plan of vengeance makes sense.

 

TIERRA:

Monday's episode, which I only kind of watched, but here's what I remember:

Rocio plans to continue to not tell Pablo that the baby is no more. Nieves seems to think she's being stupid, but not doing anything about it yet. Maybe she figures she'll let her mourn and be illogical for a little while and THEN insist that she tell the truth?

Pablo and Vero go for a walk on the beach and the usual yadda yadda. They lurve each other, but maybe his child needs its parents together, etc. They part ways and Vero makes to take a one-way walk into the sea. Pablo turns around and notices she's gone and runs into the water and saves her and she says she just wanted to escaped and not think for a minute and there is crying and embracing and getting naked. Afterward, Vero still seems to think she has to leave Pablo so she walks away again, this time not into the water. Pablo is way sad.

Irina is mighty peeved to learn that Flavio is Dario's new business partner.

Samuel sends Andrea a dress to replace one of hers that got wine dumped on it. That witch Cayetana grabs the card and reads it because she has no manners, but fortunately he didn't put his name on it. Andrea seems happy and makes up a story about who sent it. Cayetana plans to get the gossip on this imaginary guy. Andrea calls Sam to thank him, and is a little disappointed when he is polite but brusque.

Sofia goes to see Isadora and crazypants Isadora seems to think Sofia is the only thing standing between her true wuv 4eva with Arturo. She pulls out a gun with a silencer on it, but her father walks in just in time. Sofia leaves and Isadora gets a chewing out from Valverde. Probably for not using goons to do her dirty work. Sofia and Arturito go to visit Arturo again and Arturo thinks visiting Isadora is a bad idea and they should just stay away from her.

Matamoros and Pati were on screen a bunch but I don't care about them so I wasn't paying attention. I think he has assigned Roger to be her "bodyguard" to keep her under his control and away from Sam.

Jean, thanks very much for your succinct and helpful account of the past week's events. I found it especially helpful re some of the "comic relief" segments--CE and his families, and the absurdities involving Leleco and Muricy. I think I probably don't pay as much attention to these parts of the novela--at least, that's my excuse for having missed some of what happened. :-)

It was Sam though who called Andrea to ask her if she had received the package. The card read something to the effect that an honorable man sees any debt as bitter slavery. That is the literal translation.
The romance between Andrea and Samuel is just beginning. Last nigh's episode was very cute and funny between these two.

one of the things that i enjoy about this novela is.that casillas never stops surprising me, his evil knows no bound, he blames irma for chacortas death, after a few tense moments casillas shoots irma dead, he kills his brothers wife! meanwhile the soldiers and the casillas henchmen are locked in a shoot out, casilla goes to join victor jr, wife and espando who are pinned down. casillas devices a.plan to shoot their way pass the mexican marines, many soldiers are killed including the friend of riveras, casillas and group make it too the get away car in the midst of bullets, however as they drive away to the safe house north, they find out the wife had been shot!

riveras learns that five of his men had died including his friends, he calls tim to find out were casillas is he lues telling him casillas is in tamaulipas,

chema house

the problems for chema keep growing, they find out that marcado had stolen all their saved weapons and money, he has no more money to hire men, instead of facing his problems chema resorts to ignore them and yell at toro, andrews comes in and tells that he was able to find out how leo is planning the investigation against him, it is with ernesto

we cut to a scene of marcado, he and his soldiers are arming themselves, they plan to strike against chema, then to annihilate riveras.marcado seems to have forgotten about casillas,

after some time they finish a bottle together moncia n javy are getting touchy with each other the cuban awkwardly tells javy to go no moncia says she wants javy to stay guess they do not call him super for nothing

with chema going broke n casillas starting over the most poweful cartel now is the one that tijeras has he plans to cut all exports of cocaine then he will raise the price doing this he hopes to become the most poweful drug dealer in the world

Art & Sophie are together again and gettin busy

Sophia has decided to have the baby's baptism/party at Art's place since her mom won't let the boys on her property. Mom is not happy but has to aguantalo. =suck it up

Sam will be the padrino and Andrea will be the madrina because Irina and Flavio are even less mature than those two. Art & Sophia will have a private word with them and remind them not to fight in church

Andrea gets a sexxy new look and her sisters tease her about it and who it might be for

Matamoros is jealous Pati is delusional nothing new here

Sidepiece's cuz is worried about her cause she's all crazy

Art tells everyone's favorite caveman to dial it down a notch ( or ten) with Irina

Leo slides into Caye's room and tempts her into bed with him and Irina knocks on the door and interrupts.


 

Thursday Recap
Baptism
Cayetana goes to the baptism , but calls the Gallardos her enemies. DF says she cant say those things in church. He mentions the need for a double baptism for the baby and then Cayetana. I believe Flavio says Cayetana needs un “exercismo”. Andrea and Irina keep staring at Samuel and Flavio from their seats. Flavio tells Samuel that Andrea is looking at him very tenderly - unas “miraditas”. Cayetana asks Andrea “Who side are you on” She says “On your side of course.”

Party
DF shows up at the party in order to pick up Sofia and the baby from orders by Cayetana. Once he arrives, he decides to enjoy the party for a bit. He tells Flavio to get away from him since he married Irina secretly. He tells Samuel what a good man his is since Samuel rescued him at the Palenque Night. Andrea who came with DF is standing stiff behind her grandfather’s wheelchair. She smiles and awkwardly enjoys the party. She joins the “brindis” where Samuel says it’s an honor to have DF and Andrea “la madrina” at the party- he quickly mentions himself the godfather as a special guest to dispel any favoritism towards Andrea. He laughs out of fear or embarrassment when he says his own name in the toast. Andrea walks away since she receives a phone call from her mother. She tells mom that Sofia” is really sad that her family was not at the party.” Cayetana does not care and wants them back ASAP. Sofia says “Increible!” after hanging up. Who is standing behind her? Samuel. Samuel tells Andrea that they have a conversation to finish. She tells him “What Conversation; I do not know what you are talking about” Samuel replies “remember when we were chatting and you end the conversation suddenly.What happened?” Andrea says that Sam owes her for every time Patricia has accused her of seducing Sam. She says that she wouldn’t fight for a man with that woman especially if it was for him, Samuel. Samuel grabs her hand and says “the more you say it, the less I believe you." They stand very close to each other and then walk away.

I was really admiring Rocia, way back when Leo condemned the General to death by poisoning him, and she stepped in, took control, and saved his life, but wow, I really don't like these stupid decisions the writers are giving her.

this thing with Andrea, I wonder if her whole story is that she doesn't think she is good enough for Samuel, I remember her look when she first met his girlfriend Patricia, and the only boyfriends she has had were chasing her.

and Vero, hostess of the Gallardo house and hanging out with the brothers, this makes sense since she is their sister, but wait, she doesn't know that, kind of goes along with her romance with Pablo, all the while engaged to another guy.

Aarón Díaz (Arturo) has managed to bury his character from Santa Diablo, and this thing he does when he takes a step forward everytime he says something, and still he hasn't bumped into anyone.

A belated thank you, Jean. I am still following Nina and Jorgito religiously and reading the original recaps. It's hard to stop reading a 2014 two-hour recap when one-hour of the 2015 episode ends.

I wish I could hear Nina and Jorgito's real voices. As much as I hate dubbing, they've done a pretty good job of it. I can make out so much by lip-reading because so many of the words are the same in Spanish.

Someone in the original recap gave us the words to Nina and Jorgito's love song. Does anyone know who the singer is and if it has a name? I would love to have it.

deb- I'm not sure. I assumed the guy Matamoros and Isadora saw in the cell was Sr Gallardo but I have no idea. Valverde was telling the woman that her daughter was dead then he suddenly changed the story and said she was Isadora and alive and didn't know that she wasn't *his* daughter.
So, from what I got: that woman used to be Valverde's wife/serious love interest, but ran off with another man and had a daughter with the otro which Valverde took and told her was dead but grew up to be Isadora, and the wife has been internado in some sort of home since giving birth, apparently.
Since the woman asked Valverde where her husband is she may not be Valverde's wife or she may have divorced him and married the other guy.
Also somewhere in Mexico is a guy Valverde has locked up in a cell for umpteen anos, whose face we haven't seen.

So, I don't remember what Sra Gallardo looked like - does anybody remember from when she asked Sole to leave her husband alone? Is it the same woman? Because I have a theory. That woman is Isadora's mother *and* Sra Gallardo.
Its a crazy theory and it would make Art & Isadora sibs which explains the look of disgust on his face whenever she kisses him:)
But, because of my terrible memory I'm not sure if she's the same woman as Sra Gallardo. She looks familiar but that could be cause I've seen her in other things. Little help?

Hi, guys! I've been away from the site for a while, but I've been watching faithfully.

Your theories about the sick lady and the trapped guy are quite interesting - I thought that they were only Isadora's real parents, so I didn't really care about them, but making the guy Sr. Gallardo would be a game changer and would directly impact the brothers.
What I got from Valverde's talk with the woman, she always rejected him, he was obsessed with her and that's why he destroyed her family. So I don't think she was an ex-wife, just another woman that he fancied before meeting Cayetana. He did say that he killed the guy, but then, when she lost touch with reality he confessed that he has her daughter. So, Yeah, it's clear that Isadora is the child he stole and the woman is the mother - but the guy who is locked up - who knows.

Rocio is disappointing me, but I see this as a way for Pablo to leave her without remorse when the truth comes out. She's been decent so far, but if she becomes a liar, there will be no moral ambiguity about Pablo's final choice.

About Flavio and Irina - is anyone else getting tired of their back and forth? He is no galan material, he has been acting pretty crappy recently and the constant man-handling needs to stop! It's disturbing and not root worthy. And Irina keeps acting like a spoiled brat - when is she going to file those divorce papers that she always threatens with?
Honestly, I find their story tiring, it lacks the spark that it once had.

Sofia needs to pack her bags and move with Arturo ASAP. The simple fact that she is forced to live with her molester should be reason enough for her to want to go.

I'm mostly looking forward to Andrea and Samuel nowadays. I like the slow built, they didn't fall into bed together while drunk or anything similar. This is an actual courtship - the gift exchange and all - how often do we actually see this in a tn? We're more used to all couples falling in love immediately and in three episodes they swear eternal love, get pregnant and break up.

I have no words to express what I feel about Cayetana, especially after confronting Andrea, from all people. I CANNOT wait for the girls to find out about her and el pelele patan patetico.

Ok folks recap for Fri coming, Im typing it right now

 

Tierra de Reyes 5/15 part 1
Vero's mom tells Cayetana to brace herself because Sophia is going back to Art and its only a matter of time. Caye says no, no, a thousand times no and she will do anything to split them up even team up w/Isadora

Matamoros asks his 2nd how Pati behaved and the guy actually tells him the truth - that she went to see Sam the minute his back was turned. Matamoros goes to fly off the handle but the guy reminds him that if she knows he knows she'll suspect him when he has Sam killed. Luckily someone manhandles Pati just then and Matamoros can take it out on him.
Matamoros is acting weird and making Pati nervous and by the way he's caressing that gun she's right to be.

Pablo is packing because Leo fired him, Andrea finds out and says oh no your not. I do the hiring and firing around here and goes to her mom to demand his job back. She gets slapped down by Caye both literally and figuratively.
DF (thanks marvybaby) tries to mediate, listening to both sides. Andrea says if Pablo goes I go and Caye says how dare you even think of leaving (not like her daughter is grown and maybe has a life of her own or anything),
Rather than admit Leo is wrong she fires Andrea because she is supposedly mixing personal feelings w/business. DF tells her the one mixing personal feelings w/business is you - supporting Leo over your own daughter because he's your lover.
Sophia has got the news and rushed home and Andrea and Sophia stick up for Pablo against Leo & Caye (I think Pablo would be better off if they *did* fire him, then he could go to work for Art and get treated decent and probably paid more and it'd get him away from Rocio and give her brain time to start working again)
Caye supports Leo unconditionaly (big surprise there) but seems shocked when they tell her Leo hit Pablo (why doesn't she wonder where he got the black eye?) The girls threaten to report the assault to the police and Caye folds and lets Pablo keep his job (darn) - but he has to do what Leo says or he's out. (double darn)
Later Sophia tries to convince Pablo to report Leo but he won't. She says and her sisters agree that they have got to get rid of Leo (I wish they were talking permanent like but I guess that would make *them* the bad guys)
Leo is pissed that Caye didn't support him and let Pablo stay and guilts her about how he gets no respect 'cause she won't marry him and make him the head of the household official like.

Flavio sees Irina's sexxy ad and reacts like a caveman. He lures Irina out to the barn to teach her some respect, as though he knows anything about respect or how one should behave toward a spouse. She reminds him the restraining order says he has to stay 50 meters away (hello writers! we're in texas, it'd be feet! ugh) but he says no we're married so we split everything so its only 25 meters for me and 25 meters for you. That quickly stops mattering though when they lock lips and get hot and heavy but Irina puts him off saying her mom or Leo could come out and find him. When he's gone she thought bubbles that its going to be a while before he gets any.
 

Tierra 5/15 part 2

Valverde & hija - he's mad about the guy who blabbe to the cops and blames her. She asks him who the guy in the cell is (yeah who? inquiring minds want to know) He doesn't tell her, just says that guy made a big mistake and I'm making him pay for it.

Sam gets all misty remembering kissing Andrea then wonders what's wrong with him.

Apparently in order to buy their old house back - which they can do now 'cause they have mad $$- the boys have to go through Isadora, and Art doesn't want to go there so the old Gallardo homestead will remain in her hands.

Isadora plots with the henchies that the next time Valverde goes offf on one of his mysterious missions to visit someone from the past, his daughter will be following him to see where he goes. she thinks he's keeping too many secrets from her. (she may actually meet her mom that way!)

Nestor shows up @ Matamoros' door w/a warrant cause remember that guy they got to talk said La Dona the lady gun runner (aka Isadora aka Sidepiece) did business at El P. Matamoros protests that he's a legitimate businessman and when Nestor asks if he knows La Dona says he's never heard of her. The cops don't find anything incriminating so they leave.

The girls get an invite to the reopening of the spa. Sophie doesn't want to go but Caye says none of them can go and takes away the invite and rips it up DF tells her; when she stops trying to control her daughters and kicks Leo to the curb all her troubles will be over, but she won't hear it and walks out.

Cande and Pati are discussing Matamoros & Valverde's dirty business when Pati's invite to the spa's reopening arrives - seeing Flavio's name on it she's totally going on the off chance her cerubin will be there.

Matamoros asks the henchies to kill Sam and they're all no can do dude we've got lots of other problems and he's got lots of protection. Matamoros says don't worry about it I'll take care of everything you just do the dirty work.

Caye & Leo meet w/Isadora to make a super duper no fail plan to separate Sophia and Art and Andrea catches them mid plot --will she realize what she's walked in on? tune in next week for mucho mas loco

She started blathering nonsense about Argentina, boyfriend, job and ended up just saying she loved him, then she told him to go back to his house, his family, his novia and that's when he grabbed her and held her. This is not the answer you wanted, it just raises more questions.

He knows she has no sick mother and believed her when she said the boyfriend was really her friend Betina's boyfriend. Poor Jorgito, he's as much in the dark as we are. He doesn't like it that she has lied about so many things. No wonder he's upset.

Basically she told him that she would tell him the truth, but in time.

To wit, this is similar to the set up we had in Quiero Amarte. The heroine and the son of the woman who had killed members of her family fell in love (of course it was before she knew anything about the perpetrator of the murders). She wanted vengeance on the mother but knew the man she had fallen in love with, who had no idea how bad his mother was, would feel used and betrayed once he knew. She had to be able to execute her "Mis Planes" against his mother and his brother without involving him and hope that their love would endure. She managed it in the last episode (typical).

With Nina and Jorgito the physical and emotional attraction is very strong, the connection going back such a long way, but she finds herself in the same sort dilemma. If he knew what she was really doing there, he might reject her. True enough, he doesn't like Carminha AT ALL, but does have a sincere affectionate relationship with Tifon.

There is where the differences end. Jorgito could easily become Nina's ally in her "Mis Planes," but she may fear discovery before carrying them out by a slip of the tongue or other action.

She's walking on thin ice, though. I noticed the looks Jorgito and Nina were giving each other on Friday after the rescue. Anybody in that household seeing that knows there is something between them. Zeze is already suspicious of her intentions with Jorgito.

I guess we'll just have to stay tuned!!!

Yes, I'm LOVING this telenovela, too.

I watched parts of this earlier on the day showing, but followed the recaps every day, and am enjoying watching it now and picking up the little things.

I was really getting into the motorcycle chase the other day when, "BONK", Max forgot to duck and got layed out, HA! I so love it when the bungling bad guys pay.

say, the captions call Jorgito, Patata, I think I even heard someone refer to him as a fried Patata, but every one here calls him Batata, ??, ah, batata is Portuguese for potato!

ah yes Wee Rita, as Anita explained, Jorgito is patiently waiting for Rita's explanation, which she intends to give him soon, her whole venganza is about over as soon as she exposes the kidnapping as a sham, but wait, what went wrong here, the bad guys got away and Tifon loves (??) Carminha more than ever and Max is a hero, what? so who would possibly believe Rita now, well of course Lucinda would, but doesn't it seem like she is hiding something as well?

but I'm beginning to follow Rita's logic of keeping it all to herself, when she tried to leak the truth of the kidnapping to Tifon, Leleco walked in, who mentioned it to Ivana, who told Max, who warned the bad guys, whew!

I also find Suellen interesting, she has no girl friends, or family ??, her only friends are guys that are attracted to her that she uses to her advantage, where could this possibly go, but it's fascinating to see the gears turning, and the guys trying to resist.

deb--You reminded me of the stash of money that Max hid behind the trash container. Nina was watching him and went back for the money. She said it properly belonged to Tifon and planned to return it. She asked Lucinda to keep it for her, but she refused--not safe at the tirador, even though it would be the last place anyone looked for it.

Poor Max. Nothing goes right for him (yay!). So, doesn't he still owe the head kidnapping guy money, even though the guy walked off with the amount of ransom money he asked for?
 

Why is comment moderation needed? Has there been a problem? Just curious.
