New Telenovela: Lo imperdonable starts May 18, 2015
Martín (Iván Sánchez) hurries to Mina Escondida after getting an urgent letter from his brother begging to be rescued from the hell in which he's living. On arrival, Martin despairs upon finding out that Demetrio (Pablo Montero), his brother, has committed suicide. His sorrow is transformed into hatred and a thirst for vengeance against the woman who caused his brother suffering and brought him to death.
Full of resentment, Martín swears before the tomb of his brother that he will get revenge against this ruthless woman, he will cause her to fall in love and he will drag her to the green hell of this jungle in which he will despise her as she despised his brother.
The first clue to the culprit's identity is a medallion his brother always kept with him, engraved with the name "V. Prado Castelo." Martin returns to the capital, knowing that Prado Castelo is the biggest jewelry business in the country. He aims to grow close to the family. He makes the acquaintance of Emiliano (Sergio Sendel), only heir to the fortune, newly arrived in México after years of absence.
Martín meets Verónica (Ana Brenda) and Virginia (Grettell Valdez), Emiliano's cousins who were adopted by the elder Prado Castelo. Martín is struck by Veronica's beauty and her force of character. He is not, however, her only admirer: Emiliano has returned with the intention of marrying her, having loved her since childhood - not realizing the one who is obsessed with him is Virginia.
Little by little Martin falls in love with Verónica but believes the lies Virginia tells about her, including that she had caused Demetrio to fall in love and had then abandoned him….

I plan to watch at least the first week. I've never seen Ivan Sanchez. Don't know anything about him!
Never saw La Mentira, but know it is much beloved. The most recent version of this story was Cuando Me Enamoro, which I loved. Seems a bit too soon to for another version, but I will give this one a shot to see all the pretty people in the pretty locations.
oh god and he will consult his wifey I'm sure, at least Daniel Arenas ain't in it.
Sebastián Zurita is in it and saw him in La Impostora with his mama. He's cute but I wasn't impressed.
Now if Blogger will let me comment?
the gringo
Susanlynn, dont remember Mr Red Pants in LM, can you pls help me refresh my memory? Thx
It was La Tempestad!!! Not Sortillegio.
Well, I stopped watching for him and because, although I love long hair on a man. I didnt like Wm Levy with strringy long hair. I wish It was Rulli in this new novella. But I am prejudiced, I want him in all the novelas I watch, if I can help it.
Ivan Sanchez was incredible in La Reina del Sur, in case anyone doubts what he is capable of (or how hot he can be!)
Second, without spoilers, I want to bet those of you saying you will only watch one week, that you will watch the whole thing. I have watched the first two weeks of the Mexico broadcast and you will not believe the sick chemistry between Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez, who is looking quite sexy and nothing like his gaunt look on La Tempestad. (A friend of mine who hesitated to watch it the first week started it last weekend and proceeded to catch up on all first ten episodes in three days. It's that good!!!!)
Third, yes it is a Mejia production, but it has a great writer adapting it (Ximena Suarez) and also a great director (Monica Miguel) and it shows.

LatinaInMD - You can email Jane (her email is in the post) about recapping this one. Thanks for the info about this novela. This one does look really good.
It would be easier on Jane if one of you decides to be team captain and gets the email address for everyone else on the team- then sort out the schedule amongst yourselves. Anyone else who wants to join the recapping team can email the captain.

I watched the first few episodes and they are OK, aside from some very silly things that I'm sure will come up in recaps.
La Mentira is in my top 3 telenovelas of all time and I have plenty to compare the new one with, but I am so envious of those of you who don't know the '98 version because you get to enjoy this with fresh eyes.
I am torn between recapping and just commenting every now and then because this is really not a great time for me to commit to a tn. Then again....Ivan Sanchez!!!
Oh, why not?? I can recap every other week if someone else wants to share.
I'll e-mail our blog mom ASAP.
I pray that the script is worth the cast because it's quite an amazing one, wouldn't want them to waste their time otherwise Mejia's robbing their right of nightmare -free vacations!
This is the recapping schedule:
Mondays: NovelaMaven
Tuesdays: ????
Wednesdays: LatinaInMD
Thursdays (every other): Adriana Noel
Fridays: Mauricio (Myself)
We still need a recapper for Tuesday and to share Thursdays with Adriana Noel.
Just a reminder--Monica Miguel directed La Tempestad--and don't forget what happened to her (I mean her character) halfway through.
La Temp did bring out the best in recapping snark and snarl. It was also a great place to sharpen claws and wit.
I just don't think I can watch a remake of either La Mentira or Cuando Me Enamoro (near the top of my top 10 list of novelas) so soon, but, I'll be stopping in to watch the fun you folks are having.
I'm re-watching Teresa just to look at Sebastián Rulli #####!!!
There is no way that Fernando Colunga should have won Los Premios in STD over SR in Teresa. SR really brings it to the screen. not just in looks but in acting as well///!!!
What's unbelievable is that there is talk of a redo of Las Vías del Amor with Angelique Boyer in the starring role. But the producer has yet to be determined and the war is between Angelli and Mejía.
I really wish someone would explain to me why Televisa continues to give projects to Mejía when he has yet to produce anything worth watching ???
Whatever happened to José Alberto Castro?
That said, the first 15 episodes have been fabulous. Yes, as Adriana mentioned, there are some details that are ripe for snarking, but overall it is well written, directed, acted, edited, etc. And the chemistry between Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez is spectacular, so much so that in my view Ivan has already - in just three weeks - surpassed Jorge Salinas as Ana Brenda's best co-star.
LatinaInMD
Because Mejia is a head of novelas department at Televisa. He has all the power to produce everything he wants whenever he wants.
What a shame.
I watched first 15 episodes. It's not bad, but I want to rewind almost everything except leads. It will be much better if they put 15 episodes in 5.
But still it's watchable.
